Whataburger

Visited on 2.2.205. I have stopped at numerous Whataburger locations in my travels across Texas, and this one is by far the BEST. The Chicken strips were fried to perfection, the French fries were fresh, the white gravy was thick and creamy, and the Texas toast was excellent. The Strawberry Shake was blended to the correct thickness, and Monique was awesome working the register. I will definitely make it a point to eat at this Whataburger again when I travel through Sweetwater. BRAVO to the staff that was working around 6pm!!!

Hands full of burger at the moment. But! Hands down! The best Whataburger I’ve ever been to. It’s so clean here. The food was piping hot and perfect. So good! Great staff. I don’t live in Sweetwater. But if I’m driving through here again I’m coming here. I ordered my favorite burger and it’s the best I’ve ever had. It’s 2:50pm. Give kiddos to who ever is working the grill today.

Standard Whataburger. Very clean. Staff quite friendly and attentive. Men’s room quite clean. One nice but little feature: coat hooks in the toilet stalls. Parking is sufficient.

I brought a group Friday night and the manager and staff were amazing. they took great care of us, made excellent food, and were so pleasant stop on your way through Sweetwater

I ordered a #4 (jalapeno and cheese Whataburger) on toast add mayo with large onion rings and two orders of fries. Came on bun. Cheese was barely warm and not melted. Patty was barely warm. It's not all bad. The fries and rings were hot and delicious!

We were passing thru town and stopped to eat lunch. They were very busy. The food was good. I'm being very picky in saying that the fries were little crunchy. The taste of everything was very good though. The only minor issue was that I had to ask for ketchup, but again they were very busy and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

There is no better burger on the planet than a Whataburger With Bacon And Cheese (the #5 combo meal). The one I had here was excellent, except that I had to manually spread out the 3 tomato slices. It took a long time to get our order, but it was worth the wait. Great to know: Chili Cheese Fries is back!

Like, yes it was busy when we rolled into the parking lot at 910pm, but gosh-dang, the wait for our food was horrendous. 28 minutes standing in the lobby waiting on a patty melt and chili cheese fries. The food tasted good, mind you, but yikes, that is NOT fast food. Restrooms were okay... a little gross. Tables needed cleaning too. Employees were nice enough though, so that was definitely a positive.

DO NOT GO HERE They royally messed my order up (doesn't even come close to the receipt). Believe ever since Whataburger sold out to a company not in Texas they've messed up every time (doesn't matter which one you go to)....but if you know me I'll keep trying, just not @ this location.

I like their food. It's always good. I've been to this whataburger a few times when I'm here for work and it's always the same. The service is slow,sometimes nonexistent. I just walked out because I wanted to order breakfast but no one would come to the front to take orders. I just left

Has got to be the slowest drive through I have ever sat in. Literally 15 minutes for 3 cars to get through.

Awesome Place: Great Food, friendly workers, very clean store. Even though this location is in heavy traffic area this place was very clean

The manager was incredibly attentive, not only to the customers but also to his staff, ensuring everything ran smoothly. The tables were cleared quickly. Burgers were hot and fresh

My boyfriend and I were on our way home and wanted something quick so we ordered online 10 mins before we arrived we got there and wait 5 mins for our drink orders to come out and waited for the rest of our order for 20 mins so my boyfriend went inside to let them know that we have been waiting for 20 mins but by the time he was helped at the cash register we had been waiting for 35 mins only to find out that they gave our order to the wrong person even after they gave us the right drinks make that make sense!

I was going to try Whataburger for the very first time. I was the first to order in our party. I waited over 40 minutes, went back to the cashier 3 times. They were nice and gave me a brownie. But still no meal! Then it took another 15 minutes to get a refund. Needless to say, I WILL NOT BE TRYING THIS FOOD CHAIN EVER!

We were traveling and needed to stop and eat. We hadnt had Whataburger in a while, so we decided to stop here. The wait was long and the burger was dry and tasteless. I would not stop here again.

We were delighted with our Whataburger cheeseburger sandwiches and fries. All were done perfectly and the buns were nice and fresh. There was ample onion on my burger which is something I really like. we paid more than we should have because we ordered no cheese, and small fries not large which is what we got. The young ladies serving us and others were so sweet, we did not complain.

Don't come here!!! It is bad. The tea tastes like coffee, the front door was LOCKED, bathrooms dirty, and it took FOREVER to get your food. Drive somewhere else! Read the reviews!

I am from California and my wife and I moved to Texas two years ago. You can't find burgers in California this good without finding a quality sit down restaurant. I was never much of a burger fan but have been eating here relatively frequent since trying it. Burgers are great and I usually get the jalapeño, I love the Onion Rings also, and the shakes variety which changes regularly is nice. The service is always fast and polite compared to surrounding fast food places with the same amount of people. McDonalds took twice as long to get my wife a fish sandwich with less people. I always do drive through so cannot speak for ambiance.

Alexis was so sweet and her customer service was amazing! More people need her contagious positivity and attitude... Food-wise, everything was hot and fresh at this location!

Every Texan I know loves Whataburger. Great burgers and fries. Service is friendly. Clean place.

Delicious food and I love the spicy ketchup. The service is sometimes very slow, but I think the food makes up for it.

Normally, Whataburger is reliable in Texas and you get what you expect. On a Sunday morning, in early June, 2021, we arrived 5 minutes after 11:00 a.m. and couldn't get a biscuit and sausage. Fair enough, I was late. In its place, I asked for a chicken fajita taco. They said, "Sorry, we're out of chicken meat"! ....That's before lunch on a weekend. Surprised and impressed... but "not favorably". I guess I have to just ask for 'what can I get here? '. This franchisee is located on I-20, in Sweetwater, TX, by the Wal-Mart, halfway between Ft. Worth and El Paso. But they ain't really like most Whataburger's in Texas. I am a native Texan, not some uppity, spoilt city boy. I just said thanks, and drove off. Wonders never cease.

We brought a crew of nine people in at dinner time, and it was pretty busy. They got our food out to us really quick and everything was correct! Glad we stopped here on our drive

Whataburger, overall, has really declined over the last year. This location, in particular, is suffering badly. Texas no longer brags about Whataburger. Whata shame.

Maybe we call this store "Whatabooger". Not fast food that's for sure. Gone to this location over 3 times now traveling between San Antonio and Lubbock and every time these are the results. 1. To be positive, the food has been hot and seems consistent with any location. (The reason I gave it 2 stars rather than 1) 2. Every time they forget the side sauce that I ask for. Every. SINGLE. TIME. Last time, Shame on me, I drove off without it. Grrr. 3. The store is dirty. Dirty outside, dirty bathroom, dirty fountain drink area. Dirty floors. See pics. Its looked like that almost every time. 4. Super slow. It's great the food comes out hot most of the time, but I along with others stop here on road trips, it would be nice to get your food in less than 20 minutes. The food isn't bad here from my experience....... Once you get it. If you are looking for a quick stop, I may venture next door to Golden Chick or Wendy's.

HATE THIS PLACE!!! saw a lady drop food and then try to serve it again. takes forever and it wasn't even busy !!! not worth it at ALL !

Very pleasant and enjoyable lunch stop! Hadn't tried Whataburger being from California and decided this was the time to do it-and so glad we did. We got the patty melt and the Chxn strip sandwich and both were really good! Place was super clean and staff was really friendly. Only downside wld be $6 a burger was a bit high, but I wld pay that for quality if all locations were like this one. Bonus was the verde salsa.

I had an online order. I ordered it 20 min before I got there despite the app saying it would be ready in 4-7 min, I got there and waited an hour for my food. The dude behind me in line waited 30 min for his food, despite not ordering it online, had enough time to eat and leave before I got my food. Saw a door dash driver come in and get his food in 10 min and he was mad I don't know what about. I don't see the difference between door dash and ordering it through the app online. Eventually I stood in the online order line even though they never wait on it. Observed the manager talking to some people that he knew were waiting and cut them in front of everyone else. Way to manage by the way. For some reason the drive thru was moving along nicely don't know what that was about. About 6 years ago they had one open in downtown Sweetwater and that one was run very well. The kitchen was a lot more small. It wasn't next to the interstate so it wasn't crowded all the time, and you always got your food in less than ten minutes. I really wish they would open that one back up, the building is still there. I do love Whataburger but not that one.

I love Whataburger. I had been craving it when I left Texas a few years ago . I was so excited to see those orange and white stripes and that big W! There was a decent line and the restaurant looked fairly new; not the least bit rundown , so I had high hopes. The cashier was pleasant. She explained to stay to the left when I drove away. (Maybe, because of the double driveway??) after receiving my single Patty Melt and diet Dr. Pepper I parked to savor my wonder deliciousness. Shattered dreams. My sandwich was limp and DRY. I ate it anyway as I had been driving for 2 days and was starving. The flavor was okay, it was just difficult to swallow . I had a disappointing experience here, but I won't give up on the franchise!

Quick ,hot delicious! Great Whataburger. Safety precautions for all! Don't go to Heff's next door go here! You will be happy you did!

I wish Yelp has a 'no' star rating, I would choose that in a heart beat for this fast food site.Tonight, we stopped by for a quick dinner. I ordered spicy crispy chicken sandwich and was helped by Ricardo A. I got my food and started eating. Half way, I noticed the meat was rubbery. Lo and behold, the meat was raw!! I called one of the crew's attention. They offered me a refund or replacement. Folks, please stay away from this place. I'll observe my condition tonight. If I don't feel well, I'll certainly report this to the proper authorities.

Whatever you do, do not order off the app. I have sat in the parking spot for 25min and no one has brought my food out. The app says its been ready for 30 min now.

I had the worst experience when I came to this Whataburger. I overheard the manager Yolanda speaking to an employee telling them not to hire someone because they were black. The manager is black. I will never eat at this Whataburger again because of this.

Customer service sucks in this location, we got there and waited for 5 mins before someone took our order he didn't even greet us just waited for us to order, my mom ordered a number 5 luckily I saw that he was trying to charger her extra for cheese and bacon but I corrected him he might of been new, Tyler was his name. I could tell that there was nothing but teenagers working here maybe that's why service was so bad, when we finally sat the lobby was full of flies, when we got our order we were not even offered condiments and to top it off when we got our burgers the buns were smashed! It was all just so awful I'm so disappointed and mad that we even spent money here... not worth it

Love Whataburger but this is the worst location and service I have ever seen at a Whataburger. Should have known when a customer who had been waiting a long time asked for their money back and left. Poor little girl taking my order couldn't even make change! Just go somewhere else!!!!

Only been to whataburger twice and both times in Texas. Great food! Jalapeno cheese burger is what I grabbed both times but all try something different next time. I just usually go for the Same thing if I really like it because sometimes I get scared of change but I'm not going to know unless I try, lol. I hear from other truckers they got a bunch of good choices so that's a relief. And today just tryed out there new Rootbeer shake! And dam it's soooooo Guuud! Like seriously you got to try it. I think it's thier IN-IN OUT over here because even there chesse burgers look very basic and every one seems to like them. They got more variety for sure. But I do love my In-in-out because when your use to something it just sticks. Have a great day ladies and gents and enjoy your meals.

Sweetwater this Whataburger was anything but sweet!! We ordered at 11:51 and the food hit our table at 12:15!! I took a picture. Also ordered and paid for s cheeseburger got no cheese. But we were so hungry and wanted to get back on the road I ate what we were given!! Please fix your ordering 25 minutes for burgers is ridiculous.. next time we pass thru here we will bypass this Whataburger!!

Worst Whataburger I've been to. Zero stars were not an option but should be. 30 minutes to get our order, and we weren't the only ones waiting. Whataburger needs to pay more attention to this franchise and do something. The good news is that everything was cold (fries, burgers and chicken strips) and they only messed up three of our four orders. Yep just four orders and 30 minutes later we were finally on our way with our to go order

Worst Whataburger I can recall eating at. First off, when they brought my order to me, it was in a sack !! What?!? No trays for dine-in customers? Awkward. I had to rip the sack open to make my own "paper tray." Again, awkward. Hope the table was wiped down good. Then, the actual burger was the worst I've had. The meat wasn't cooked to death, but it still had no flavor. They must have been running low on their famous mustard because there was just a bare smattering of it. And the lettuce and tomato had no taste at all, either. Almost like they had walked across the parking lot to Wal-Mart fof their produce. And, the fries were like they had batch fried the entire day's supply at lunch and just let them sit under the heat lamp until 9 pm, hard, dry and xtale. But wait, there's is an aftertaste from the burger that is following me the rest of the night. I'm as big a fan of Whataburger as you'll find, but I'll never eat at this one again!!

This What a Burger is one of the worst places I have been recently. Waited about 40 minutes for meal-when it came burger was cold- although fries were warm. Lots of other places around- skip this one.

This is the first Whataburger that I've been to that I've had a bad experience. I had a bacon cheeseburger and the bacon was rancid. I called the manager and she didn't seem to be very concerned about the fact that anyone that had this got sick.

I'm not sure why this place has low reviews, I had an exextional experience here. Im from callifornia and everytime im in texas I HAVE to get a Whatabuger. The food is always fresh and amazing and thats most what I take away from the dine in, but the worker here (I believe his name was Jeremy) gave me such a nice conversation and experience. He constantely check in with us to see if we needed anything and how the food way. He is such a hard worker and it shows. The establishment is clean. He is constantely sweeping and changing the bags AND taking orders if he sees a customer walking in and someone is not at the front. He is the reason I will recommonder THIS whataburger over the others. And If it's with him then I am positive you'll get a 5-stars experience. (Disclaimer: im sure the other workers are just as great, i just only interacted with girl that brought the food out and jeremy and had to give that man credit) Cheers!

Slowest service I have ever received 30 min in the drive through. Walk across the street and go to Heffs burger better burger same price 1/8 of the time waiting. Not to mention it was 10.00 for a burger fries and drink

Worst Whataburger I've been to. Took over an hour in a short drive thru. Not to mention the worst management and customer service. Will not be stopping in Sweetwater ever again. Awful.

We love Wataburger, but this was the worst Wataburger Restaurant we have ever been to. Our grandsons ordered the Honey barbecue chicken strip sandwich without the honey barbecue (plain and dry). We waited a long time and a server came by and said they put the wrong thing in the fryer. Finally our order came and the chicken sandwiches both had honey barbecue on them! I took them back and told a server about the mistake and she said she would take care of it. We waited a long time and I finally got up to see why it was taking so long. Another server said I had to show my ticket. Now I am mad! Finally after another 10 minute wait they brought out the sandwiches and said " sorry "! Nothing else. BTW, my burger was cold because they waited to bring it out with the late sandwiches. While we were waiting another customer came in and complained that they messed up her drive through order. She had to wait almost ten minutes to speak to the manager. At the same time there was no one at the order station so about 4 customers got tired of waiting and left. What a sorry representation of a very good fast food franchise!

What a joke. Ordered online. I've been here 30 minutes past the pickup time they said. Considering leaving. Will never be back.

Where to even start. Ive been here 20+ times. Probably upwards of 50 and not once have I been in and out in under 30 minutes. Ive had to wait over an hour on several occasions. Its become my routine to go inside because no matter how big or small the order something will be missing. Whataburger is supposed to be a texas staple and this location is far from doing a true whataburger justice. I would avoid. 0 stars.

It's pretty for sure but lord have mercy don't get on the outside lane right lane period go left they forget about the people in the right lane. We have been waiting for over 15minutes have moved one car only and left lane is zooming cars in and out like crazy. Been 25 minutes now and got our food no drink waited another 13 min for our drink OMG are you kidding me nasty old cold fries never again..... not this one at least

Good food fast! Clean and friendly workers. Asked for no salt and they didn't add any. Nice new store easy access off and on I-20. I always order a double with grilled onions,jalapenos and heavy Hatch green Chile's with cheese. Mmm mmm best burger ever. Best onion rings too!

Absolute worst service I have ever had at a Whataburger. Was warned that this location was terrible but I went anyway because I love Whataburger. But they were right and I'll never go back to this location.

I ordered onion rings instead of fries. They got the order wrong and gave me fries. I told the employee and they changed it out.... not a big deal. What was disturbing was the employee asked for the fries back and said, "We're just going to refill it." This is AFTER I touched it.
