Your bag comes with your choice of flavorful sauce (our favorite is the Cajun or the very spicy house), seafood, and sides like potatoes and corn. What a delightful experience. The food was amazing and prepared to order so it was nice and fresh. The catfish basket was delicious and I absolutely had to have a side of greens which were also delicious for restaurant greens. I will go back not just for the great food but also for the stellar customer service. I was pleasantly surprised and grateful for Michael who was on the cash register; he went above and beyond! Plus the vibe was very positive and very feel good with the music.

This place was great. The food took a while to make, so I would recommend ordering ahead. Prices felt a little high, but everything was really good. We got the catfish basket, catfish poboy, hush puppies, and crab cake bites. Will probably come back here soon.

If you are in the Hyde Park area, you have to visit this restaurant. This is a small business that is serving love all up in their food and their business is just a great vibe. I had the shrimp basket with seasoned fries. I absolutely loved the food— so well seasoned! The owner even blessed us with a slice of cake.

I was excited to try What’s Krackin, I ordered the shrimp basket and red beans and rice and Crab Cake Bites. I was very disappointed. The red beans had an after taste like they were out of a can, no effort was put into them. The fried shrimp left a lot to be desired. The crab bites were okay . Hopefully they will use this criticism to work on making their food better, because there are a lot of other food choices that can be made in that area.

First time here and the food was amazing! I had the fried catfish dinner with a side of corn on the cob! The fish was fresh, fried and seasoned to perfection! The customer service and ambiance was outstanding as well! Definitely a must try if you’re ever in that area!

Catfish fillet is something people don't always get right they do cooked to perfection I did taste lemon seasoning I'm not a fan of lemon and seafood not their problem mine next time I'll suggest no lemon the salmon burger with the toasted bun again a lot of toppings but it was fye I'm just a simple plain person when it comes to sandwiches the greens yallllllllllll and the cornbread 😜😜😜😜

Had the Fried Lobster Tails. Absolutely amazing! Had a small mixup with our order, but the manager handled it with professionalism. He even personally apologized. Next time I’m in Chicago, definitely going back!

What's Krackin' is a gem in Hyde Park!! I'm on a journey to try new things & this place is one of my new faves! I ordered a Salmon Burger & a Catfish Dinner. Also, I just tried their Cajun Pasta w/ Shrimp. It was supposed to be my lunch for the next day. It didn't last .. SO GOOD!! 😋😋, And they have an Amazingly Kind Staff to boot. I'll be back again & again.
