This place is incredible!!! So unique and in a league of its own. A working bakery -- things being baked all day, right in front of you, and put out fresh when ready! Smells like heaven in there. Super creative foodie baked goods and lunch items on the menu.
This place reminds me of Arezmeni Co-Op bakery in the Bay Area, California. Very similar feel and gave me nostalgia. But Wheatfeilds offers way more and I miss it already! We were visiting family, and in only 4 days, we went here three times lol. We couldn't stop... breakfast and lunch. So many delicious choices.
We tried the Focassia of the day twice: once was potato, Gruyère, etc - forget, and one day was cherry tomatoes, cheese, garlic, I think. The foccasia bread is so moist and heavenly... fresh rosemary in it, perfectly light and salty. I'll dream of it.
The berry cream fresh toast was a huge hit with my son. Amazing thin, rustic bread used, fresh whipped cream, berries, syrup. Not too sweet, delicious!
The breakfast burrito we got twice because we were obsessed lol. Both times, incredible. A mixture of potatoes, sausage, salsa, cheese, chilis, with their amazing spicy salsa on the side. Great flavors!
The oatmilk vanilla lattes and whole milk lattes were both great, both days.
Spicy tuna melt was so tasty, but we didn't taste any spice. Maybe we are too used to spicy food. Lol next time I'll just put their salsa on it mmm.
We tried the empanada of the day: zucchini and green chilis. Ehh... pastry dough for it was good, but insides lacked flavor. I don't think it included cheese for that one that day.
Ham and cheese croissant was a huge hit! I believe it's Gruyère w ham- soooooo good!
We had the quiche of the day. It's a round mini quiche w a pie crust around it mmm it was a 3 cheese that day and very creamy. My son loved it-- we all did. I'd loved to try more flavors.
Cinnamon roll was good. Not my fav, but also we didn't receive it heated up- maybe because that one was a to go order. Would be better warm. It was large too! Great portion.
Croissant breakfast sandwich w egg cheese and bacon (scrambled egg). You can choose egg type, choose meat etc. Was good!
My dad loves the ebbs braided bread baguette and orders it often he said.
Ambiance: Such a cute and cozy feel in there. Very simple, down to earth feel. Simple tables of all sizes and window stool seating. Two bathrooms that stay busy. Busy your own tables to the bin, but saw some workers pick up. Counter ordering for meals, otherwise pastries given when ordered if ready.
The obvious community spot, where all types of people gather there, as well as many regulars, tables big and small, families, older folks, younger crowd, everyone! And it has something for everyone!
I was intrigued by so many things on their menu, and wish I could've tried it allllll... was so hard to choose! Everything is so fresh The place filled up quick later in the morning. It was a busy holiday week, w many off work and school, so may have been abnormally busy. But we still got tables after a few minute wait.
Parking across the street in the free lot. Workers were mostly friendly and helpful. One girl wasn't the friendliest both days. If I lived there, this would be my spot. The salads looked good. Quiche and salad combo for $8 was a great deal I saw. The mushroom melt sandwich sounded super good w foodie ingredients. I'm seriously crying that I don't live there to eat it all. Lol I miss you already, incredible Wheatfields!
