When Pigs Fly BBQ

The place is clean & cute. The server was nice, but the food may be average at best. The brisket had a very smokey taste but no real flavor. The turkey had good flavor but was very dry. The Mac & Cheese was oily & the cheese was clumpy, (not smooth) but no seasoning to it (no salt, pepper, etc). The fried okra was extremely greasy. The Brunswick stew didn't have much flavor either until a lot of the spicy BBQ sauce was stirred into it. The spicy BBQ sauce & the sweet sauce were good.

Cute bbq joint. I had the pulled pork plate with Brunswick stew and baked beans. Everything was excellent. The Brunswick stew is amazing! My friend had the 2 meat combo with brisket and ribs. We both thought the brisket was excellent, but he said the ribs were dry (I didn’t try the ribs). We both wanted fried okra, but they were out of it. The service was excellent, and everything seemed clean, and well maintained. Would recommend.

I decided Saturday to go in and have lunch here and I sure did enjoy it! I was served by a sweet girl named Miranda and she took amazing care of me! My drink was never empty and she made sure I was fully satisfied with my experience! I ordered the Chicken Tender salad and it was delicious! A nice size portion and great flavor! I’ve had other menu items from here before and everything is so delicious and the portions are a great size! This is a great place for a lunch or for dinner! The atmosphere is friendly and welcoming and all the staff is amazing and attentive! I will for sure be back soon. Check this place out if you haven’t yet!

First time eating here, I ordered sweet tea w/ lemon, sampler with pulled pork and ribs, comes with 2 sides: I chose potato salad and Brunswick stew with Texas toast. Let me tell you this place had me feeling like a flying pig walking out! The food is just delicious and the staff are down home good folk! Really enjoyed it and will be coming back soon!

Overall, the food was not good. The pulled pork had a lot of large fat pieces in it. The ribs were poorly seasoned. The peach cobbler did not taste homemade, and the crust was soggy. The banana pudding was horrible—poorly flavored and not one banana. I will never eat there again.

The building is beautiful. Clean. Friendly wait staff. The food on the other hand was not good. My pulled pork was bone dry and my brisket was dry too. The potato salad and Cole slaw lacked flavor. You gotta do better. Also. If you're going to use sweet baby rays bbq sauce at least do something to it. Add a little flavor everywhere

Was in Monroe today, and finally got to try When Pigs Fly BBQ, after hearing good things. First, this place is HUGE, and despite that, it was still packed, and for good reason. The staff here was pleasant and very helpful. I ordered take-out, and they served me very quickly. I ordered the Pulled Pork Plate, with Mac & Cheese and Baked Beans. The pork was excellent. Well cooked, and with the suite sauce it was fantastic. The baked beans were great; sweet and tangy, and the Mac & Cheese was some of the best I have ever had. Overall, this place is top-notch!

We tried When Pigs Fly BBQ yesterday at lunch time. We were seated right away even though the restaurant was busy. We were very impressed to see the honor wall for all branches of military and firefighters. The food was delicious and plentiful. 3 of the 4 of us had to take the rest of our lunch home! The hostess, waitress and manager were all friendly. I highly recommend this wonderful establishment.
