"Whiskey Red’s seafood-leaning menu will be on no one’s list for the best food in town. However, its marina-facing patio is an excellent Westside spot to watch the sunset. It’s definitely touristy, but if watching rich people float around on their private boats doesn’t soothe your mind after a long week, then we simply don’t have much in common." - Brant Cox

"Nestled in the Marina del Rey harbor is Whiskey Red’s. It’s slightly away from the ocean but is a spectacular place to gather with friends over beers, wines, crab cakes, grilled oysters, or a firecracker shrimp roll." - Eater Staff

So they no longer serve buffet champagne brunch, but still it's advertised all over the websites. That was the first disappointment to find but the view was beautiful, so we decided to stay. We ordered the brunch platter for two, a bloody Mary, a beer, and Roy Roger's. Food took forever to get to us and when it did everything was cold and there was no hollandaise on the eggs Benedict, plus the waffle was hard as a rock. (They had ample wait staff so I don't understand why the good was sitting so long. Also, don't understand why the runner would bring sopping wet plates to the table and not dry them before bringing them over with the food, just to leave with the plates to dry them, which drenched the floor in water where someone could've slipped and fall.) So, the poor waitress who was running around to make the Roy Roger's (coca cola with grenadine/cherry coke) because the bartender was upset that he had to make it and didn't want to, finally returned to find us unhappy about the food, which she totally understood and returned it to the kitchen to be fixed. The kitchen staff just threw it back in the oven because everything came back over cooked and rubbery and the hollandaise was now broken on the eggs as well. I was totally disappointed and dissatisfied (I wasn't the only patron complaining the gentleman next to us returned his burnt pancakes as well). We told the waitress that we wanted to speak to the manager and he did comp us the drinks since we refused anymore attempts for them to mess up the food again, that was their only saving grace. The whole restaurant is disorganized and I would not recommend wasting your money to go there.

Hubby and I were invited to a birthday dinner at Whiskey Red’s in Marina del Rey. Of course, I had to read reviews to see what people had to say. Unfortunately, I did come across many bad reviews, but that wasn’t going to change my mind because I had an invitation to celebrate a friend's birthday. I’m glad I went despite the reviews. Our friend rented a private room right next to the water. It was nice to have a room to ourselves. The sunset was beautiful, and the whole vibe was great! There was a pre-fixed dinner planned for everyone, which included dinner rolls, Caesar salad, chicken with mashed potatoes and broccolini, and for dessert, cheesecake. Everything was actually really, really good! Both my hubby and I ate everything on our plates! Hubby and I ordered drinks at the bar. The drinks weren’t the best, so we got one and done. I guess that would be my only issue. Parking is available right in front of the restaurant, and I believe it’s free of charge. Whiskey Red’s is a nice restaurant with a lot of potential. It needs an upgrade, and once that happens, it can be even more amazing! It is a great place to host an event. If I come back, I would probably want to sit by one of the fire pits.

Went here last weekend on a date. Food was really good and served quickly. Drinks were amazing. One of the tables by the water opened up and I requested to be moved there. The manager said, sorry I can't a group of 6 is coming. We stayed there for about 2 hours max and we noticed no one ended up taking that table by the water. Kinda bummed about that Was just a little annoyed when we saw down it took them about 10 mins to take our order when all the people outside already had their food. A group of girls next to us arrived 5 mins after and had their food ordered before us. I think one of the waitresses was training a new girl. Still not a good look. Other than that the manager on the floor Daniel did his best to try to accommodate us, the food and the scenery was still worth it.

When visiting LA, i was taken here, since I'm a Foodie. I did not know what to expect for brunch, especially with the name "Whiskey Red". I imagined pub food. To my surprise, it was anything but that. There was a wide selection of seafood, meat, salads, desserts, and more. Not to mention champagnes and mimosas. The service was good, the food was fresh, the view spectacular. it was slightly pricey. Although I gave 4 stars, I would still recommend to try at least once. Afterwards take a stroll along the marina.

Sunset dinner. Service not bad. Food not bad. I've always liked this place back in the day. Will keep coming back with old and new friends. Love the view and relaxed ambience.

Great view. Enjoyed the outdoor dining. Heaters and umbrellas available. Not covered though. Food not bad. Only brunch menu available at time that we went (full menu available at 4pm on weekends, I think). Service good. Not rushed. Space around seating. LA prices for food. Parking is in a lot and metered (but meter wasn't working when we were there. Not sure if they still validate or not). Crowded day we went bc of a boat event.

The perfect spot to watch the sunset, the food is very good! Extra star for being the only place in America that brought a full plate of limes and lemons when I asked for some 🫶🏼 instead of only a sad 1/4 of a dry lime like the rest. Thank you! We will come back soon! Ps ask for the happy hour deals.

This was my first, and last experience I will have at Whiskey Red's Restaurant. I went there this past Sunday to enjoy a bridal shower brunch with one of my dearest friends. Outside of the beautiful view of the Marina, and the fun we eventually had amongst ourselves, the staff, (more specifically the manager Daniel), was very rude and unprofessional. The multiple issues were as follows: Even though we had reservations for this special event, we were made to wait to be seated because our tables were not ready. Secondly, he attempted to sit our party at tables not in proximity to each other, which was very frustrating because it defeated the main purpose of the bridal shower; to share this experience with the full bridal party. When the manager was asked by the bride's young adult daughter to accommodate us sitting together, which should have been a given, his quick and apparent agitated response was, "You guys are killing me!!" Thirdly, he proceeded to make us stand in the vicinity of multiple tables as they placed two tables together after our initial complaint, while the guests already enjoying their brunch appeared to be uncomfortable with us standing around, (our reservation was at 10:30 am), so the restaurant had few guests. He then told us they were short staffed, and backed up in the kitchen, (how was that possible when their restaurant had just opened at 10 am, and why would you tell your guests that before they were even seated?) They provided us with one server, which wasn't the biggest issue, it was the fact our entire party wasn't served their meals at the same time. In fact the bride's table was the last table served. Additionally, they made so many of the meals incorrectly, (and let's not forget most our meals came without any seasoning), at least 4 meals were sent back 3 times, so they eventually had to take some charges off the closing bill. Further, the manager Daniel never came back to see how we were doing, after all things considered. He didn't even think to ask, "How is the food? Is everything going OK?" The crux of the day, was when the server had the audacity to tell us to lower our voices, we were too loud. Excuse me!! It was a bridal shower, so we were playing customary bridal shower games, and all in attendance were extremely grown, and classy. Further, our party was seated outside, so the boats, canoes, kayaks, and other various water activities occurring simultaneously adjacent to the restaurant were louder than any noise their staff alleged we were producing, and were complaining about. Suffice it to say, had it not been for my friend's bridal shower, and us maintaining the day was all about her, I would have expressed my annoyance, and disappointment with their unprofessional service at the restaurant. Hence, this detailed review. Working in a service oriented profession myself, I don't believe the customer is always right. However, the sum total of our disappointing experience at Whiskey Red's Restaurant left way too much to be said.

Yelp
I had a great experience during our family's Mother's Day Celebration. Johnny provided outstanding service. Johnny gave a 5-star performance! Thanks, Johnny! 1

Yelp
Bri knocked it out the park with excellent service thank you so much!! Highly recommend this place for happy hour it was incredible for how cheap but delicious everything was.

Yelp
Hidden retro gem! Just go and feel the sea, hear the sea-lions and birds. Obviously sit on the patio. Huge place that fit large groups or last minute plans. Food is as you'd expect, the Mahi Mahi appetizer rocks and we had the roasted chicken that had a wonderful crispy skin. Just go and remember the 90's with an amazing entry of koi as you walk the path to the hostess. Oh and no valet in front like it appears or google pulls, park in the lot right before it.

Yelp
I hadn't been here since before the pandemic, but i knew that the. buffet was no more. But this does not excuse the quality of the food. My sister and i ordered the eggs Benedict. What can i say was good about them, nothing. the eggs were overcooked, the hollandaise sauce was not saucing, it was congealing. My sisters first plate was cold, back it went. Since the hollandaise sauce on her first plate was non existent, I asked for it to be served on the side, I asked for mine to be on the side as well. What came on the side was a thick container of a butter colored flavorless something or another. I didn't try the potatoes. One of my nieces got the chicken and waffles, there was a long hair in her chicken. The cocktails were good, but mine was supposed to be smoked and it wasn't, but it was still tasty. The service was ok. There was a wedding and reception, another party and our party. They were not staffed for what was scheduled. It's Whiskey Red's and we were seated outside during brunch, and the sun was out. What is there not to like? The DJ was good and we were in good company. Will I come back? Probably not.

Yelp
Johnny was amazing Chef Paul's food was AMAZING ++ Marlo First time here, will be frequenting the establishment from now on

Yelp
The food and drinks are great at happy hour! The view is amazing cannot recommend the patio more! The service could be faster, waited 20+ minutes to be checked on after finishing the meal to get a check. Waited ~15 minutes to order when it was not busy. If you don't mind a bit of waiting, check this place out!

Yelp
We had reservations for Sunday brunch. The party was large and we had folks coming far and senior citizens attending. I loved the restaurant beauty and ocean view. Every staff I came across was so friendly and helpful. Greeted each guest as they arrived. We had to wait for our whole party to arrive to get started. Once we all arrived the five course meal started with a variety of choices. Each course was very delicious and a very good deal. Our server was super patient, kind, friendly and funny. I had such a great time with my family and we weren't rushed to leave. Our table was on the patio and as it started getting cooler, we asked and they turned on the heat lamps near of table for the seniors. The food was fresh and prepared with lots of flavor. The manager checked in with us and I absolutely loved his demeanor. I will be back!

Yelp
Came here for a private baby shower and the ambiance was beautiful. The restaurant is right on the marina so you get to brunch with a view. The food was very good we had sausages, bacon, fluffy eggs, spicy potatoes, English muffins, and fresh fruit. They also served apple juice and freshly squeezed orange juice to complement the bottomless champagne that we were offered. The staff were very friendly and the bartender gave us strong drinks. The happy hour menu was delightful and offered $1 oysters and cheap cocktails. I will definitely be coming back to this location.

Yelp
Mother's Day brunch : The food was ok!! The customer service was excellent. The severs need a raise!!

Yelp
Feast your eyes on the waterfront restaurant for brunch! Of course, any day of the week is good for lunch or dinner. This is a prime location in Marina del Rey. As you approach the main entrance, there is a beautiful Koi pond and patio area for dining or happy hour. This patio has French doors leading to the bar area. The brunch menu was impressive, steaks, seafood, waffles, fried chicken, eggs Benedict and ginormous smash burgers! Skip the diet, after your meal, stroll along the boardwalk shops and restaurants. I love the layout of this spacious restaurant. The main dining room has "whiskey" red-leather booths. There is a nice banquet room with picturesque windows for a view of boats on the Marina AND a second patio for dining on the waterfront. FYI, there is a third outdoor patio sectioned off for another group get together, happy hour and/or entertainment. Take a Sunday drive with friends and family. Don't forget to tell 'em Rosemary sent ya!!

Yelp
I loved our brunch for 10 here at Whisky Red's. Service was with a smile. Food was good. Wish I'd taken a photo of the French Toast we shared so everyone could have a bite. Never seen anything like it! The location is amazing. Marina facing, lots of windows, and outdoor seating was getting business the second the rain stopped. They had a DJ working the outside patio on a Saturday lunchtime... interesting choice. Not sure they need that in the middle of the day with that view. One star off as the chairs are metal and more suitable for a fish and chip shop than a nice restaurant. They bring the look (and comfort) down a bit. But honestly, that's almost not fair. I'm very close to a 5 star on this as it was a lovely experience, attractive place, friendly service. Price was reasonable, especially for location. Cocktails looked generous and yummy!

Yelp
Whiskey Reds has energy. Energy cannot be created or destroyed, just transferred. Johnny transfers all of that energy. Don't get me wrong, the fried chicken is damn good. The waffle are lush, but you can get food anywhere. You can't get Johnny level service anywhere. Sometimes there's days I go by, and if Johnny isn't working, I don't go in. But if I hear his voice, or see his smile I stumble in to hang out.

Patrick D.

Yelp
We love the new happy hour! We went last Saturday and were lucky enough to have Colt as our server The dollar oysters and Smash burgers were awesome. We loved it so much that we came the next day. Not the best serves the next day though. And, the hostess both days is literally useless, un aware of anything you may ask her, and literally could be replaced with a pet rock! You will be in good hands if you are lucky enough to get Colt as your server though!

Valeria B.

Yelp
OUR WEDDING WAS AMAZING!! The view was gorgeous from the South Bay room and all its big windows! The food was a GOOD serving and sooo good! All my guests loved the garlic chicken plate. All the servers and staff that day were so KIND and SWEET and fast! Thank you!! Shauna was AMAZING! She made our day look beautiful and operate smoothly! She was our fairy godmother we like to joke because she would make it happen! Thank you!!!! Absolutely would have more events here! I wish I had more photos of room and decor! :(

Yelp
1st time here and we will come back! Enjoyed the fish tacos, server Bri was very attentive!

Isabel W.

Yelp
Bri our server was kind and made sure our glass was always filled with water. The food was 90% good, and the ambiance was great.

Giavanni G.

Yelp
Our servers name was Briana, although she was nice I think she had alot of tables which impacted service. She was a good server overall. We had a view of the ocean and were able to sit in the bar area. The mashed potatoes were real potatoes with cream & butter. We got spinach dip & some thai shrimp as an appetizer. The crab legs were sweet and perfectly cooked, not over done. I got a happy hour cocktail and a margarita, they had excellent deals!!

Amit L.

Yelp
Just recently came here to celebrate my sister's birthday. Although it has a beautiful view of Marina Harbor, I wasn't too pleased with the service. When we first arrived, we asked for a patio seating. We were granted a spot with a time limit. The host said we were able to sit here and enjoy our food in the area for an hour, then we would have to move indoors since the area was reserved for a party later that evening. The waiter took our order and thought our food would be on our table within 30 minutes. That wasn't the case. We waited in the patio an hour with no food and nobody to come tell us that we have to move. We actually had to inquire about it to another waitress because we saw a man pacing around the area like he needed us out of his way but the waitress had no idea about what was going on. So out of precaution, she moved us indoors and we still ended up waiting another 45 minutes for our food. The whole entire time, there wasn't anyone utilizing the patio area except a party way in the back corner that wasn't asked to be relocated indoors. I have a feeling they just didn't want anybody sitting out there except those people in the corner. If that was the case, the host should've said the patio is closed from the start. Finally the food came out and it was so cold. We were so hungry at this point we did not complain. I ordered a Shrimp Roll. It tasted good since the bun was doused in butter, but it wasn't warm like it was made moments ago. The shrimp had a batter on it that turned soggy. The fries were stale. I was not pleased. If I can give one message to the owner it would be to do better. Hire chefs that can send out food fast and efficiently. Hire hosts and servers that can know how to organize and plan better. The entire time the workers had a grin on their faces like they didn't want to be there. My 2 stars is for the nice waiter that took our order and made sure we were taken care of on the drinks and to the waitress that kept checking on our food and for moving us inside when it was actually the host's job to move us in.

Yelp
What an Epic Feast for Thanksgiving. Didn't feel like cooking and so glad we came to Whiskey Reds for their Pre Fixe four course menu. $67 what a steal First Course great chilled seafood platter and charcuterie. Crab legs 3 oysters on the half shell 4 jumbo shrimp some tuna poke. All tasted really good. Crabs legs were hard to crab and took a lot of work to get the meat out but thats to be expected. Made me savor the flavor more when I succeeded. Shrimp were succulent. Oysters tasty and of good consistently. Really enjoyed the seafood. The Charcuterie board was also visually appealing with a great variety of items. There was a nice slice of brie, some smaller cubes of cheddar and a small gruyere grilled cheese sandwich. Alongside various meats nuts, dried apricots and cornichons they hit all the right notes. Mochi donuts were a surprise and they had a sweet dip to dunk them in as well looked like cookies and cream ice cream. The Kale Salad was doted with pomegranate aril and candied pumpkin seed and some cheese sprinkled on it. A great palate cleanser for the mean course. I had the Filet Benedict and my mother got the Lobster Benedict we both wanted to stay away from a traditional Thanksgiving dinner and were satisfied that we did. The Filet was cooked medium rare to medium so it was a little bit on the tougher side but it was seasoned great and came with fingerling potatoes. The eggs were poached well held their shape and sat atop a garlic buttery piece of bread. The lobster Benedict was primarily the same except for the jumbo lobster tail that sat atop its shell. Cooked delicately and and tasted amazing not too dry or rubbery. They knocked it out of the park. The desert platter was a delight to look at and included an array of goodies such as red velvet cake, strawberry and chocolate macaroons, pumpkin cheese cake and ha d a decadent caramel cheese cake. They also had shaved pieces of white chocolate. I decided to get The Finest Hour which is a bourdon cocktail similar to an old fashioned with brown butter syrup and comes in a smoky glass that they reveal table side. It was delicious and very nice to enjoy as we watched the sun go down. Our server Johnny L was great and always knew what we needed next thanks Johnny. Food service ambiance all five stars top notch I will be returning. Perhaps to see whats cooking for the Christmas Brunch

Yelp
Ask for Lilie, if you want the best experience here. She's awesome. Oh, and try the Atlantic Salmon and Oopsy Daisy drink, you won't be disappointed. Great views and yummy food, what more could you ask for?

Yelp
I went here Saturday for the new happy hour they have been promoting on Instagram and had the worst restaurant experience I have ever had in my entire life. Here are the highlights of my experience: - Rude hostess with an attitude. - Every empty table in the bar area was un-bussed (and that is the only area you can do happy hour). - I asked the hostess if she could please ask someone to buss a table for us. Her response was, "Oh yeah, you can go ask the bartenders," to which I kindly said I would appreciate it if she could ask. - After a long awkward wait to get a table bussed, we finally sat down. The busser then came back and asked if I could "get up or something" so he could sweep underneath me. Complete lack of social awareness and so awkward. - Rude bartenders who make you feel so unwelcome. - We had no server. Every time we needed to order or even close out our check, we waited in line at the bar for 15-20 minutes. Every. Single. Time. - Oysters took at least 45 minutes to come out and they looked DISGUSTING. They were slimy, not cleaned, and had a milky residue in the shell. Couldn't eat them. - The restaurant is extremely worn down and the only place you really want to be is the patio. However, we were told they don't do happy hour on their patio even though that is what is being pictured and advertised on Instagram. The owner or manager needs to have a serious talk with the staff. It was SO BAD. I felt like I was on an episode of Kitchen Nightmares.

Melissa K.

Yelp
To whom this may concern, My Family was there this past weekend and our server was Lilie. Not only was she fun and personable but she was very honest with her suggestions. We had a blast and will be coming back again. Thankyou- Melissa

Yelp
Loved this place for HR on a Thursday! They had $5 beers, $7 mixed drinks, and affordable bites. Several in our party got the fish and chips ($10) and they were a big hit. Even my 1 y/o loved it. I was really surprised with the prices vs. location (i.e., I expected the prices to be much higher). The patio area on the dock is gorgeous, as is the inside of the restaurant - lots of cute places for pics! There's parking on a lot right next to the restaurant where you pay at a kiosk. If you have a handicap placard, parking is free during the weekdays. There was ample parking at 4pm on the Thursday we went, so that was a nice surprise for a place on the water in west LA. There's a cool walkway over a coy pond out front. The whole place is truly so picturesque!

E L.

Yelp
Been here plenty of times before, great food, great location, but the service is a hit or miss. Today specifically we were seated at our table and over 10 minutes passed and our server never came to us, but was servicing all the established tables around us. The place wasn't busy today either, so I don't know what happened. We ended up walking out and going to La Marina Trattoria down the boardwalk!

Yelp
My group of four enjoyed the Four Course Brunch at this establishment, and overall, we had a delightful experience. Here's a breakdown of our visit: First Course: We started with a shared festive platter of Chilled Seafood, which included a tempting assortment of Oysters, Crab, Charcuterie, and a unique Pumpkin Chai Pudding, among other delectable items. The presentation was stunning, and the flavors were exceptional. This course truly set the tone for the meal. Second Course: Next up was the Dragon Fruit Waldorf Salad, which we shared at the table. It featured Shaved Romaine, Candied Walnuts, Granny Smith Apples, and a delightful Waldorf Dressing. The combination of flavors and textures was refreshing, making it a perfect follow-up to the first course. Main Course: I opted for the Steak & Eggs Benedict, and while the Filet Mignon was incredibly tender and well-seasoned, I was slightly disappointed that it was a bit overcooked, as I had requested it to be medium rare. Nevertheless, the accompanying Poached Eggs, Chimichurri, Hollandaise, and Roasted Potatoes were all delicious and complemented the dish well. Fourth Course: To conclude our meal, we indulged in the shared Showstopper Dessert Platter. This delightful platter featured Mini Pumpkin Pie Bites, White Chocolate Pecan Bars, Pecan Cheesecake, and more. It was a sweet symphony of flavors and a fantastic way to end our brunch. We decided to enhance our experience by adding a bottle of Champagne for an additional, with a choice of Seasonal Fresh. The champagne selection paired wonderfully with our meal and added an extra touch of elegance to the occasion.

Yelp
First of all I want to thank Rosendo are waiter that made our son's birthday memorable and special. It was my wife and I first time here and Whisky Red's did not disappoint. Our son has been here before with his Rotarian club. The food was delicious, drinks were amazing, and at the end my son enjoyed blowing out a complementary chocolate cake to top it off with our waiter Rosendo singing along with us Happy Birthday! The ambience was super cool seated indoor window ocean view!

Alejandro H.

Yelp
Service was bad, servers took a very long time to bring the food out and even forgot about some of the items placed. The scene is beautiful however the service is mediocre.

Yelp
Tomawi was the best bartender ever. I loved her energy and she made the drinks to perfection. We will be back!!

Yelp
This place has really changed for the better. The family celebrated Easter here this year and much to our delight they did away with the buffet and served a 4 course gourmet meal. The food was the best it's been in years and I've been coming here for a long time. Almost seems like a change in either chef or management because it was dramatically better. The service was also too notch. Our server, Paris R. was super-human, working her butt off helping a massive number people. I mean the place was packed and somehow she managed beautifully. The only drawback to the whole experience was the 40min wait time to be seated despite having a reservation and arriving early. Total wait time was an hour which seemed unreasonable. Fortunately the food and service more than made up for that. Also, there's a nice coi pond and some fire pits to help with the wait. The view of the marina is quite beautiful.

Gwen D.

Yelp
Went here for a weekend dinner. The outside was cold. Not sure if they have heaters, but it would've been nice. We got seated next to an industrial part of the waterfront. The drinks were watered down for $15. The calamari was more breading than squid. Also it was very salty. The clam chowder was basically a bowl of Alfredo sauce with maybe 3 penny sized pieces of clam. The service was nice. Wouldn't come back tbh. Free parking!

Alisha K.

Yelp
Fried chicken and waffles were so good! our server was amazing and so helpful and kind. it was a calm saturday morning and they spaced out the guests really well so our group could still have a great time talking without feeling like we were imposing on others haha! everything inside was so nice and all the food we received was amazing. fair warning i did not expect that the fried chicken would be half an entire chicken so it was a lot of food but the breading and sauce was delicious. overall i would highly recommend!

Michelle L.

Yelp
made reservations at Whiskey Red's as they were participating in this year's DineLA. reservations were easy to make via opentable we made reservations for a sunday evening check in was a breeze we opted to sit outside as i had my frenchie in his stroller we had a beautiful view of the marina and sat next to a fire pit, which was nice on a chilly evening service was a bit slow the tables and chairs were a bit mucky, IMO the ambience was great once we put in our order, the food did not take long to arrive ordered: $45/pp 3 course meal first course: -Coconut Mahi Bites 9/10 -Spinach Dip 9/10 (really enjoyed the dip) second course: -Famous Beer-Battered Fish n Chips 8/10 - good batter but a bit much -Atlantic Salmon 7/10 - the potatoes paired well with the garlic caper butter sauce over the veggies but too buttery for my liking, and i love butter! third course: -New York Cheesecake x2 5/10 too full at this point to eat there, took it to go. had it at home. the cheesecake tasted really bland and not fresh the venue was so beautiful the owners/mgmt should really take advantage and optimize on their prime location their service really should be stepped up a notch! overall, def a plus for a nice location that is pet friendly! parking: a huge lot shared with the other businesses/fisherman's village ; i believe i paid $2 for 2 hours

Yelp
My friends and I came here a few days ago, it was our first time at Whiskeys. We all had an amazing experience all thanks to Rayner. He was very attentive, quick & helpful. The drinks/food tasted so good & the view of the water was amazing. 100% we'll be back & ask for Rayner!!

Normally I avoid writing negative reviews unless it is really bad so I decided to reach out to the manager here because dinner on a Saturday night the past two weeks was the worst I've tasted for this place, and I used to frequent here a lot! I ordered the catch of the day and a salmon plate, plus Brussel sprouts and calamari. The fish dishes were too salty and the seasoning wasn't the best. I don't know about the appetizers either they weren't memorable and the calamari was more onions and veggies than the actual calamari itself. The Brussel sprouts were too soggy and I explained to the Manager that maybe this is why there's not a lot of people here dining. I noticed the quality of the food has declined and I just wanted to offer feedback not to make problems because I believe the importance of being honest for improvement in any business. Anyway, it is sad because the location here is beautiful with the firepits outside but I highly doubt I will come back here to eat again because of the food.

Yelp
The biggest draw is that it's on the water with outdoor dining, which is great, but that's 100% what you're paying for. The food is okay, the portions are small (we got the $58 shrimp boil "entree" for four and questioned if we'd accidentally been served the individual portion, as we all had to go get more food after we left), and the drinks are expensive. I'd go back for a cocktail hour, but would skip ordering food again. Edit: seems like the small portion issue has affected more than one party. When OUR group asked about the size, we were told it was correct. After we had eaten and we still hungry we asked for, and did receive, a plate of bread to soak up the drippings. We NEVER received anything on the house, not even a discount on the bill. We didn't ask and weren't expecting it, but don't try and make me look bad for leaving an honest review, Mark.

Yelp
Came here for a birthday celebration on a Saturday night, and we were seated right away. It was our first time, and Rayner immediately gave us great suggestions off the menu when we asked. We ended up ordering every single one of his recommendations (the brussel sprouts, the poke, the tacos, the seafood pasta, & the fries) and they were all a hit! Food came out quick, too, and we loved the tiramisu at the end. We happened to come during a wedding reception so we unfortunately weren't able to be seated outside, but the views from inside were great as well. We'll have to come back to try brunch! Thanks again Rayner for a great experience (and for taking our photos at the end)!

Yelp
We walked in at 2:30pm and went to the host stand asking for a table for two. The gentleman was trying to help us then a young female intervened and hastily said we don't accept walk in's and that brunch was over. She said that they would not be accepting walk in's for dinner until 4pm. We checked online, and saw that brunch was available until 3:00pm and that the restaurant itself was open until 9pm. Customer service could have been better and less hostile!

Yelp
I really can't rave enough about this location, the quality of food and service and the perfect atmosphere for winding down for any occasion! My fiancé and I visited for their happy hour which by menu and pricing alone, looks to be the best happy hour in the city! After tasting it and feasting, we def think we found our new favorite happy hour spot! The food was absolutely delicious and very well portioned for the happy hour deal! Our server, Colt was such a dear to us! He really went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed, was super friendly and easy to talk to, and his service in the best we have received in the city in a long while! Everything made for a perfect date, and the view of the marina channel and the fire pit were the perfect topper for the whole experience. I def recommend this place! Food was such great quality, and there is a beautiful Coy and lotus pond out front making for a surreal and magical experience in the middle of the city! Thank you to the congenial staff as well! Five Stars!!!!!

Yelp
It was such a beautiful day in Marina Del Rey today, November 19, 2023. A little windy, but a cool marina breeze. Such amazing views of the sail boats and awesome yachts passing by. The brightest sun, and bluest sky. As the palm trees swayed, we chowed down on crab cakes, firecracker shrimp, and buffalo chicken wings. We each had almost perfect Cadillac Margarita's. We truly enjoyed our server, "Bri". Bri had a kind warm demeanor, was very attentive and on it with smooth service. The food was delicious by the way. There was much more food on our plates, but I forgot to snap some photos when we were first served. Even so you can still see the colors and textures. Hey People you gotta go to Whiskey Red's. What are you waiting for?

Yelp
Had a wonderful experience having a private event in the Marina Room at Whiskey Red's. They were very accommodating and easy to work with. The food was great and the drinks were awesome. I recommend the One in a Melon cocktail! To top it all off, our waitress Paris was superb. She handled our large group size like a champ and was so fun to be around. Thank you Whiskey Red's for a great night!

Yelp
Hands down, Paris made this dining experience, come to Whiskey Reds just to have her as a server

Yelp
I came here for my graduation! Food - good quality, the Brussels sprouts were bomb but the calamari ehh, I've had better My burger was good but again nothing crazyy Service- Paris was wonderful! She's the reason this place gets the majority of the stars haha! Ambiance- the view is what gives it its 3rd star but the food quality and place itself is all okay but definitely needs a revamp in my opinion just trying to help but other than that nice place for my graduation lunch

Yelp
we have given this place many chances as we love the location on the water, however the bar service is beyond mediocre-- every bartender seems to treat us as a inconvenience and never In a good mood. They all seem overwhelmed. we enjoy a nice bar/food experience and have been disappointed one too many times. we will not be back after today- the clam chowder was over salty, oysters were NOT fresh, we had to ask how old they were and they couldn't answer us and the bartender never checked on us the entire time, no napkins given and no friendly welcome. we will take our business elsewhere.

Yelp
Place looks great, right near the water. But the clam chowder was room temp, the fries were soggy on arrival, and the oysters had a funny taste. I think it was because there was a single waiter working on a weekday afternoon so maybe it was sitting out too long. Unfortunately the waiter didn't come check in at all after dropping off the food, so I didn't end up sending anything back. I don't think I would come back anytime soon.

Yelp
World class view, we meet Thursday nights. Bri was serving tonight, she was right on.

Yelp
Just don't do it. I live next door so I've come a few times for convenience and also in hopes it will get better since it has such a beautiful view. The service is god awful slow even when no one is there and the food is terrible. Today was my last try.... Went for brunch and everything came out cold and tasted like it was reheated from the day before. Maybe a few days before. The chicken sausage has seen better days. May the odds be ever in your favor.
