This place is super aesthetic and the portions are GENEROUS!! They've been on my bucket list for months so we decided to stop by for brunch on Sunday. I'm not sure if their regular menu is any different, but they offer a nice selection for brunch. The host said the wait time for a table would be 15 mins, so we opted for bar seating.
The bartender was very nice and got us drinks right away. It took a while to look at the menu since there was the only one available, so I let my friends go first. The interior is super cute, I love the decors and rustic vibe, and it looks like they have outdoor seating in the back as well.
The menu was a little pricey. I was expecting $20 but some dishes went for $40. I had my eyes set on the chicken & waffles, and my friends decided to split the whole chicken. Sides are an extra add-on which brought my meal to $30 and theirs to $50. A little too pricey for my liking.
I was looking if they had any tables to switch over since the bar smelled like Clorox and it was giving me a headache. Sadly, more guests came and the empty tables got taken. It took about 20 mins for the food to come out, and I was surprised at the portion size! The biscuits came first, and THEY'RE HUGE. Then come the side of garlic fries, 3-cheese mac n cheese, my chicken and waffle, and the whole fried chicken. Every plate was FILLING!
The chicken tender had a good crunch and was VERY juicy. I love the syrup that came along-- it was sweet and light, so much better than your typical maple syrup. They had some hot sauce available, but none was spicy enough for my taste. The portion came with 4 big tenders and a normal size waffle, which isn't bad for the price. The waffle was soggy after a couple of photos and syrup, but I didn't mind. I also got their 3-cheese mac n cheese ($8), and that was super cheesy. I would say it's good if you're a fan of mac n cheese, but I probably wouldn't get it again. The garlic fries were okay, nothing special. It was soaked in oil which made it soggy.
My boyfriend liked their biscuits, he said it was hard on the outside but soft and flaky on the inside. I really like the jam that they offer. I couldn't tell the flavor, it tasted like orange for me, but it was pretty damn good. Their whole chicken was quite big, and it was hot and crispy, even after 20 mins. My friends' fingers were getting burnt just holding the pieces up.
The service was good as the bartender constantly checked in on us and refilled our water. When we asked for some jam and butter to go, he brought back 3 small containers of each, which is PLENTIFUL. Overall, I enjoyed the food, ambiance, and service here. It's a good place to take out-of-town friends for brunch, or if you're craving some juicy fried chickens.
