Cute place for brunch but did not have the best service. When we asked for customization to the tacos based on the servers suggestion, we were only given like few pieces of potatoes and nothing else. When had to ask repeatedly for the missing ingredients, and they brought it one by one. By the time food was cold. We enjoyed at the Frankford location several times, will not be visiting here again. Rest of the food was delicious and it has a cute ambience.

First, I must say that I picked this restaurant for the uniqueness of the name...Whistle Britches. Then I saw that it had great reviews, so I decided to give it a try. Upon entering the restaurant, I noticed how lovely the atmosphere presented a cozy ambiance. It was warm and charming with a pleasant aura. I like how quiet it was, and it wasn't overwhelming with loud guests. Everyone seem to respect each other's dining experience. I ordered the chicken and waffles with a side order of fried green tomatoes. The waffle was deliciously soft and mildly sweet, and the chicken was tender enough to cut with my fork. I was very impressed. My friend ordered the Challah French Toast and a side order of deviled eggs. The French Toast was fluffy and flavorful with absolutely fresh fruit and heavenly sauces over all of it. Yummmm!!! The only complaint was that my friend's deviled eggs tasted flat. She told me the egg mixture inside the eggs had no flavor, so she only ate one. The presentation is absolutely beautiful as the deviled eggs are nestled on a bed of alfalfa sprouts. It looked pretty, but it failed. Maybe the cooks/chefs could make an improvement on this. We noticed the huge portion sizes for the others' patrons, and everyone seemed satisfied with their meal. Our waitress Diana, was professional and pleasant and always had a smile on her face. Both of us loved our dining experience and will most likely return. I love saying this. Good job, Whistle Britches!!!!

Google
Super friendly, good food, good service. I had a Cobb salad and it was very delicious. Hugo sprits was my drink. It’s a pretty place and I love the outside area with lights on the trees.

Google
Had their corn fritters . Was sour …. Not sure why but assume that the corn was sour. The legs and eggs were amazing, the kids tender sandwich was amazingly tender and pastrami sandwich was good. The biscuit was unique and combo butter and jam was amazing

This was my first time at Whistle Britches and after looking at the menu I was very eager to try the food. I ordered the Corn Fritters and the Chicken Benny. The food was good. My server, Nick, however was very inattentive. Every interaction felt rushed. Up until it was very noticeable our table of 2 was finished with our meal. He purposely ignored the table and walked by multiple times without checking on us again to see if we needed a box, a refill and lastly the check. Other staff was very helpful in answering questions and interacted with the table more than he did.

This place was such a pleasant surprise! We came here for a quick brunch and was so pleased from the coffee to the appetizer to the main course. We ordered the deviled eggs and they came with 5 eggs and were delicious! I got the avocado toast with an added egg and even though it was on the appetizer menu it was plenty of food for a meal. My husband got the love me tender and it was also very hearty! There are 3 sauces on the table and they are not labeled so be careful which one you grab. One of them (dark red) was incredibly spicy! One was honey and the other was a sweeter sauce. The bathroom was a private bathroom and it was clean and well stocked. We parked in the parking garage and walked a short walk to get to this restaurant. No wait when we got there and it was a Saturday. All in all we were very pleased and we will absolutely return.

Don Chingon and Smash Burger were GREAT! Angelica was attentive and super sweet!

Google
🍅👍 Tried the Fried Green Tomatoes - absolutely awesome! 🙌 However, the pickled okra that accompanied it was a bit bland and lacked flavor. 🤔 For the main course, we shared Ma's Meatloaf made with Angus Beef, Whipped Potatoes, Black Pepper Bourbon Glaze, Green Beans, Crispy Onions - it was a flavor explosion! 😋 But, considering the overall atmosphere and price, it might not be our top choice for a revisit. 💸⭐️ Overall, a solid 4-star experience!

Yelp
Brunch at Whistle Britches-Plano is an experience you won't forget. The menu is packed with creative and flavorful dishes, and everything we tried was absolutely delicious. The fried chicken is a standout, cooked to perfection, and the biscuits are buttery, flaky, and practically melt in your mouth. The mimosas were the perfect addition, bubbly, refreshing, and just what you'd hope for during a relaxing brunch. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, and the staff provided top-notch service from start to finish. If you're searching for a brunch spot that checks all the boxes for food, drinks, and ambiance, Whistle Britches-Plano is the place to be. Don't skip the mimosas--they're worth every sip.

Yelp
A must stop when you Come to Plano. The food is consistently excellent, the service is outstanding and we really like how comfortable you feel when dining here. You can relax and not feel pressured to hurry. We will absolutely be back the next time we are in the Dallas area.

Sharbani M.

Yelp
Warm biscuits with homemade jam and a dollop of butter melting! What could be more beautiful than this sight? Whistle Britches was recommended by our friend because waffles and fried chicken is a weakness, and Whistle Britches lives up to all the all praise! Tender, succulent and not heavily breaded chicken served with fluffy waffles and warm coffee! That is bliss! Will be going again because this is a my comfort food

Tifna T.

Yelp
Food, ambiance were terrific and so was the service. Although they did not have an alternative milk choice so little bummed about that. Otherwise the food was on point and well as the flavoring. I had the chicken and waffle option with the jalapeño cane syrup. It was delicious. The chicken was crispy on the outside and moist inside. Definitely my style the syrup does have a kick to it. Definitely will be back for sure.

Sammy K.

Yelp
I just had an amazing meal at Whistle Britches! The Fried Green Tomatoes BLT was amazing. I love that it came with thick cut bacon. I loved every bite. Service was great and when I told them I saw them on Guy Fieri's Food network show Diners Drive ins & Dives... they recommended I take the Hot Dane Nashville chicken sandwich to go for later... and I'm glad I did. Loved the restaurant and service. Place was clean. My mouth was watering when I pulled into the parking lot because I could smell that I was in Flavortown

Leena J.

Yelp
Are chicken and waffles calling your name? Check out WHISTLE BRITCHES for the win! Giant portions, great flavor, fantastic service. A little group of gals had a delicious Saturday brunch after the farmers market (in the willow bend parking lot- across from crate and barrel) Bright and open and great place for friends or family and most certainly fun. I ordered the chicken and waffles with a biscuit on the side- the jalapeño maple syrup was a hit for me/ I loved it. Good eats at WB!!!

Polina T.

Yelp
My family and I stopped by on a Thursday evening for an early dinner. My mom and I both got the aristocrat without the bacon, and it was super tasty! My brother got the Love Me Tender - which is a huge portion and had some leftovers to take home. My dad got the WB Smash Burger. Everyone really enjoyed their food. The biscuits and jam are delicious. The service was great and the waitress even took a photo of us on our way out. The only thing I DON'T recommend is their sweet tea. My dad got it, and it did not taste right. It had a weird aftertaste of tap or dirty water. Something was very off. They swapped it out for us for some bottled water. All in all, food was delicious and would come back.

Katherine H.

Yelp
If you're in the mood for a chicken based brunch then Whistle Britches is your spot. Stand outs to me and my friends are always the mix of sweet and savory: the hot cakes and tenders, and waffle and chicken! If you're feeling adventurous they have a Bloody Mary where you can add a chicken wing or two :)

Kelley H.

Yelp
Came here for Tuesday lunch and it wasn't busy at all. My partner and I ordered the Chicken Pot Pie (comes with a small City Boy salad) and WB Smash Burger for entrees, and the Three Cheese Mac and Crispy Brussels Sprouts for sides. The Chicken Pot Pie was interestingly tangy/sour. I can't put a finger on exactly how to describe it's flavor, but it wasn't enjoyable. The crust was a good texture. The salad that came with it was disappointing to when I ordered the City Boy salad a few years back at the original location. The cheese and apples used to be cut with finesse, but now they were chunky. The WB Smash Burger was okay, but the bottom bun was absolutely soggy. It was completely flat and falling apart. The top bun was thick and full. The Three Cheese Mac was fine, nothing special. I remember it tasting better at the Dallas location. The Crispy Brussels Sprouts is misnamed. They were absolutely drenched in the soy chile sauce, not crispy at all. We ended up taking this home for leftovers, carefully tapping excess sauce off of the brussels sprouts and it tasted better. Overall, disappointed in this visit. I used to love this restaurant, at least the Dallas location. This was my first visit to the Plano location.

Lynn H.

Yelp
I have been a lover of Whistle Britches since their first opening in Dallas. I ordered Uber Eats today and learned the Dallas location is now closed. I loved them. They were always wonderful and consistent. I opted to try Plano. I ordered the Whistle Britches Sandwich and took the up-charge for the mac and cheese. To say that neither item had a taste is an understatement. I usually hate wasting money and will try to eat what I order. But today...nothing can make me eat the rest. I will consider this a lesson that I "bought". Farewell Whistle Britches. It was a great run!

Shelia H.

Yelp
Please bring back the shredded chicken on your WB Cobb salad. The grilled chicken and crispy chicken do not do this salad any justice if you bring back the shredded chicken on the WB Cobb salad.

Danielle R.

Yelp
This place is so cute!! Loved the fresh feel of it. Food and service was good! Open space, great for larger parties too.

Devin C.

Yelp
One of my favorite brunch spots! The first time I ate here I ordered mimosas, the chicken and waffles and have been hooked ever since! The food here is so good I'm often tempted to order more to go. They often have good music playing and the servers are always amazing! I highly recommend the Plano location but Southlake's is nice too.

Magnus L.

Yelp
I went here for lunch with colleagues. It wasn't terribly busy which was nice, even though we had a reservation it doesn't seem like you typically need it for lunch. We started out with the crispy corn fritters which was quite good. I would have liked them slightly softer but they had good flavor and came with a good sauce as well. I love fried green tomatoes and I was pleased to see they had a new dish since last time I went to one of their locations, Fried Green Tomato BLT. It was incredible, huge portion, the chicken had great flavor and was soft and the fried green tomatoes went perfectly with all the flavors. I can't remember having a better BLT anywhere. I could have split half of the food and brought it home but it was so good I couldn't stop eating! Highly recommended!

Kristen H.

Yelp
We typically love the chicken and waffles. Biscuits and homemade jelly are excellent as well. Today, how were we were disappointed that the grits weren't served in the usual small skillet to keep them warm and they started to charge for a side of gravy and ranch! What's up with that!!!

Brandi A.

Yelp
Service was fine, but their check policy is stupid. It's one thing to advise that you won't split the check through the system, which they told us by phone and text and email....but then they wouldn't run our cards separately. We went for a girls night and that left a bad taste in our mouth. Considering the place was dead the entire time we were there, you'd throw k they would be more about appeasing the customers needs.... Food was OK, while good portions were way too big and seemed overwhelming when placed in front of you. Drink selection was good, price was ok. Likely won't be back, just too much of a hassle considering the plethora of choices in the area. The area next to it with open grassy area was great and will check that out sometime.

LaTondra L.

Yelp
Tried this out for an early lunch with my mom this past Saturday. Great location so we could shop at Willow Bend Mall afterwards. Our server was friendly and attention even though she had a very large table next to us. We tried all the "fan" favorites. Fried green tomatoes, corn fritters, chicken and waffles, and legs and eggs. The fried green tomatoes were delicious!! So much so that we ordered a second round lol. The corn fritters, ehh not a fan so we sent them back but the sauce they came with was delicious. Loved the legs and eggs (legs were Nashville hot, perfect amount of heat) and the tenders were juicy and fresh. Waffle soft the way I like. Personally the biscuit was a little dense for me but the accompanying jam helped out. For a Saturday at 11, we were able to be seated right away but I'd definitely make a reservation just in case!

Kelley H.

Yelp
Easy and convenient location. Quick and easy service, the food and drinks came out within 15 minutes. We were catching up for brunch so we stayed and chatted a while but overall it was great ! The restaurant was clean and cute southern comfort farm house style. The staff were all very nice and efficient. I ordered the Whistle Britches and grits and they were so tasty. Would come again!

Tara M.

Yelp
Went to brunch with the girls. I had the chicken Benedict. It was huge and so good! We also had mimosas and they were not shy with the champagne. They also served crackers and the warm pimento cheese and it was a hit. We also got the Mac and cheese and it was probably some of the best Mac and cheese I've ever had. I would 10/10 recommend this place! Will definitely be back.

DeShon J.

Yelp
We went on a Sunday and sat out on the patio. Had the Chicken N' Waffles! The chicken was very tasty and seasoned well. The waffle was average. Waiter was friendly.

Brenden K.

Yelp
Came in on a Saturday afternoon. Not packed but definitely busy. Our server took a little bit to take our order but understandable since it was busy. We ordered the buffalo cauliflower, pimiento cheese dip, the sir mix a lot, and the love me tender. Everything was very delicious. Chicken was moist and flavorful, sides were good. The pimiento cheese was a little watery from the syrup which was a little off putting but everything else was good. Biscuits were divine especially with the butter and the jelly that came with it. There was a few times that we needed the server and it was hard to get his attention. Would definitely come back and try other menu items.

Kristie G.

Yelp
Saw Whistle Britches on a YouTube and had to try it. Food was amazing. The chicken had such good flavor. The service was okay. It was 4th of July so they were under staffed. Adorable decor but was very warm inside. Definitely will try again.

Jen H.

Yelp
Recently dined here during our stay in The Colony. My brother & his partner suggested this restaurant, so my husband, our son, and I met up with them for dinner. The restaurant was clean with modern farmhouse decor. For appetizer, we ordered the fried green tomatoes & house-made potato chips with onion dip. Both apps were tasty & fresh. Onto the main entrees, I had the City Boy salad, add fried chicken strips. The salad was so yummy with apple slices, candied pecans, white cheddar cheese, and mixed greens. The honey vinaigrette dressing was the perfect pairing to my salad. The fried chicken pieces were well seasoned & the crunch factor was amazing too! Our male server was super nice & attentive. And he took group pics for us, since we were visiting from Las Vegas, NV. I will definitely return the next time we are staying in the Dallas/Ft Worth area.

Emme D.

Yelp
Absolutely fabulous - food, venue/ambiance and customer service. Price is also on point. Well done WB. 4.5 stars for everything stated above. Aside from the cauliflower buffalo wings (which was perfectly crisp and sauced), I wish there were other options available for those who do not eat chicken or beef. Salads were available but would have loved a tofu or similar meat alternative options. The customer service was phenomenal and our fam had a great time after a day of shopping. Thank you for the wonderful foodie experience

Amiee B.

Yelp
More a brunch spot then a dinner spot for sure! & Happy hour options too. A bit pricey for chicken sandwich 16$ plus 2$ add on fries. Expresso martini 9$ definitely yummy Server was awesome

Nita R.

Yelp
Let me say 5stars for the wings!!!! They were very good! I would definitely order those again AND an ADULT MILKSHAKE!!!! Having never been there before I truly appreciated the person who brought out our food(wasn't waiter) explaining what the sauces were etc as the bottles are not labeled. Our server was decent nothing special, doing a job. Love the location and imagine the vibe would be excellent on a warm evening.

Quetta N.

Yelp
I just love this place! The food here is just so freaking goodgreat serivce, nice and clean restaurant and a great spot for brunch!

Breanna H.

Yelp
First time in and sat at the bar with Angelica, she was very nice and helpful, and the food was amazing. Big fan of fried chicken and this place did not disappoint. Plus a fantastic happy hour! Will definitely be back soon. Plus the played Mr.Brightside while we were there so, I mean that alone is like 4 stars right there.

John O.

Yelp
Food very spicy, but that should be expected I guess. Very spartan setting, metal chairs not comfortable at all. No close parking, so handicapped patron had to walk 1/2 block.

Aaron H.

Yelp
My oh my! Give the chef a kiss cause lawd, this biscuit was off the chain! All the fluff with the crisp and a slight crunch, yet not over done. Add in the fact the chicken was seasoned to perfection, I might've found one of the top chicken biscuits in DFW. Another bonus was the house made strawberry jam for a little extra flavor. Drinks OMGEE.. the drinks were bomb as well! Our party had a frose, along with the watermelon margarita, both were fire! Overall, the experience was great, the ambiance at Whistle Britches was chill and refreshing. I'd encourage you to make reservations, I could tell it gets pretty packed during Sunday brunch times. Definitely a place worth trying in the Plano area.

Bailey S.

Yelp
Delicious!! We got the Tacos por Favor, Aristocrat, and the Pitmaster. The Pitmaster was my personal favorite and I would recommend it to anyone. Atmosphere and service was great! Quick service too!

Chauncey M.

Yelp
Came in for a late lunch today and the atmosphere and food were great! The deviled eggs, pastrami sandwich, and even fried green tomato BLT were amazing!! Nick was great as a server and behind the bar.

Tamara N.

Yelp
You know it's delicious when you're still thinking about it the day after! Our trip to Whistle Britches was nothing short of an amazing experience - from the food to the service, they had it all on lock. We made reservations and our table was ready promptly. It is a super cute, quaint place in a great location by Willow Bend Mall! Our server came by immediately and was super sweet and attentive to what we ordered and everything out super fast! Chicken Fried Steak: one word - HUGE. The "CFS" was great, it had a perfectly crispy outer layer but it wasn't super thick or floury- a great ratio. It comes with a side of creamy mashed potatoes and nicely cooked green beans. Probably the best chicken fried steak I've had in awhile! Corn Bread: this corn bread pan was so moist and flavorful. It's topped off with honey butter (amazing) and jalapeños - the perfect blend of sweet and spicy! Super addicting. Deviled eggs: these were the biggest deviled eggs ever! Definitely never had deviled eggs this large before and they were equally tasty! Frozen peach frose: tastes like peach rings and not like alcohol at all! So fruity and delicious but still a strong drink. Definitely recommend for a group dinner, family dinner, date night, or anything! The vibes were great all night and I can't wait to be back.

Ta'Brechi H.

Yelp
Delicious. I have visited Whistle Britches several times and each time, I am amazed at how yum my food is. They service is always impeccable and the food is hot, fresh and oh so good. Honestly, you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. On my most recent visit, I order chicken n waffles. It is a huge waffle served with four perfectly seasoned chicken tenders. The restaurant is always nice and clean and the staff is always so attentive. Try it, you will not be disappointed

Barbara A.

Yelp
The cornbread was great. It's sweet and savory in the best ways. Comes with a scoop of cinnamon butter and sliced jalapeños on top. A great appetizer to share. I had the whistle britches biscuit sandwich and was very mid. I wouldn't get it again as the honey butter was an overload of sweetness. Maybe get it on the side. The chicken itself was cooked and seasoned well but really not worth the cost to say it comes with potato chips. I would go here again and maybe try something different as the biscuit sandwich was nothing special.

Beryl D.

Yelp
This place never disappoints. Came here for lunch with girlfriends. We all ordered the delicious Bellinis. And ordered sandwiches and pasta as our entrees. Highly recommend.

Patrick B.

Yelp
Menu is good, and service is usually good too. Prices are not out of control, so make it a regular visit! The outdoor patio is nice, and they have a good cocktail menu too. Haven't been disappointed yet, and I've been to 2 different locations.

Scott S.

Yelp
Their biscuits were delicious and it's in a very nice spot being near the mall. Had a good brunch (A)

Will D.

Yelp
Had the chicken and waffles. It was so delicious. Some of the best fried chicken I have ever had combined with the fluffiest waffle I have ever had.

Ginny A.

Yelp
The ABSOLUTE best cheese grits ever tasted!! Also their hot chicken biscuits was amazing!

Mel K.

Yelp
I went with a friend on a lunch break. The atmosphere was great, the service was great and there was a ton of food. But the food was just ok. I don't know that I would go back.

Kyerra B.

Yelp
I decided that I wanted to have brunch at Whistle Britches for my bday and they did not disappoint!! Our sever was professional and personable. The food was absolutely amazing and fresh. The chicken was seasoned well and the biscuit was fluffy and delicious. It's giving 5 stars hands down!!!!

Lore L.

Yelp
My husband and I shared the fried green tomato BLT and the Honey Butter Chicken Biscuit. Both were delicious! I highly recommend the WB Bloody Mary, also!

Paula A.

Yelp
We came here for brunch on a Saturday, and it actually wasn't too busy. No wait time, even though we were a large group. We all really enjoyed our food! This restaurant has one of the best chicken and waffles I've had. The waiters were friendly and frequently came to check on us and refill our drinks. I'd definitely stop by again the next time I'm in Plano.

Barbara G.

Yelp
Had a great lunch here. The biscuits are the size of Texas and the chicken was delicious. Highly recommended.

Rachael B.

Yelp
Good atmosphere, great chicken fried steak, even better green beans, the service was not bad even though I think they only had one waiter that night. I'm happily coming back!

Holly C.

Yelp
Ridiculously annoying experience today... ordered the eggs benny w/ hard poached eggs. The eggs came out runny. They sent out hard boiled eggs to replace them. Then took off half the charge because they said, "well, the chicken was right." Then the manager was rude and the general Manager, MARLENE, said we should know their policies. How ridiculous. They ended up credited the bill after much wasted time with helping them understand the customer perspective. Very low end.

T M.

Yelp
The food was delicious. The location was perfect since we only live 2 miles away. We went on a Sunday. It wasn't crowded. The ambience was lovely and we really enjoyed it.

C S.

Yelp
Service was good, greeter friendly. Noise level high. Chairs cheap metal, very uncomfortable. No encouraging spending time or more money. Food was good, chicken best thing. Avocado on salad rock hard, small portion of chicken (2 bites). Mac and cheese tasty but overcooked.
