White Castle

30 min for FAST food... bathrooms were dirty, only 4 people ahead inside and outside and still waited 20 min in drive thru, just to wait 10 min while at window. Food was soggy, definitely not what was expected while waiting that long and expecting it to be for freshness.. gave 1 extra star for food due to my slider as a 1921 being better than my families' sliders, and service as 1 extra because staff was friendly but also not organized, while we had to point out we hadn't got drinks, told again yes we paid, when another asked & drinks were next to the 3rd person that came to window. Luckily, just passing through town so no plans to return anyway..

I just ate dinner this evening at White Castle for the first time. This location had amazing customer service. The staff were friendly and personable. The food was exactly what I expected and delicious (3 original sliders, 3 cheese sliders and onion rings). The onion rings were high quality, crispy and better than any fast food establishment I’ve been too. The my also had a good sitcom on TV and made it seem like I was eating dinner at home. I would definitely come back and I might have to try the Belgian waffle slider in the morning. Thank you White Castle staff for making my first experience top notch.

First time trying White Castle today and let’s just say we enjoyed the 2 hr road trip to get there and the 2 hr trip back home more than the food. One of the employees was a bit rude when ordering but just shrugged it off. We ordered the 20 variety pack, 2 fries, onion rings and mozzarella sticks. The mozzarella sticks and onion rings were pretty good. They gave us cheese fries instead of regular fries and when we told them the same employee who was rude when ordering got an attitude. The burger sliders were soggy and not appetizing, the parts that were edible were ok. At least I can say I got to experience the real White Castle and not just from the freezer section. 🤦🏼‍♀️😂

Came in for lunch couldn't even eat it. The food smelled burnt and when we opened it this is what we got. Couldn't even ask for a refund or remake because the girl at the counter was annoyed we took a minute to figure out what we wanted to order while tapping her nails off the counter. Definitely won't be back for quite a while. Oh and be careful of the slick floors. Male was mopping when we came in and didn't bother to put out a wet floor sign!

We don't have a White Castle at home so I'm always excited when I see one. Upon walking in, this location was initially empty. We weren't greeted, the cashier never said Hello, can I take or order or anything. She just stood there. During the entire visit not one person (4 total) even smiled. They all looked miserable and like they hated life. All the tables were dirty, the floor was dirty and after seeing the restroom, I held it and went elsewhere. The burgers were fine as usual, the fries were saltless and the soda syrupy. I hate to just complain but I won't return to this location. There were no condiments or napkins anywhere. When I walked up to the counter to ask for some, I had to flag someone down and ask for some ketchup and the 2 napkins they handed me without saying a word. We dined in and our food was prepped to-go. The trash cans were full when we left and the doors were locked at 3 in the afternoon so people struggled getting in and out of the restaurant. Unfortunate experience.

I drive from kansas city just to eat at white castle. They took it out of kc like 30 years ago. Definitely worth the drive for me.

I know this won't make sense for a good review, but we waited in the drive-thru for about 45 minutes, and it was worth EVERY SECOND! You could tell they were extremely short-handed, but still cranking out sliders and keeping up the best they could. All of our food came out hot and fresh. Our order was accurate, and the food was DELICIOUS! I've never had White Castle before, and it didn't disappoint. It's definitely worth the wait. Even though the staff was extremely overwhelmed, they weren't rude and extremely nice. You could also tell they were moving with a purpose. FYI, they're not always slow. We went there the day before, too, and it was super quick! All in all, it was great, and if I'm ever going through Columbia again, I'll definitely go back!

If you're a fan of White Castle, you're a fan. So, instead I'll talk about our service at this location. We thought the staff was friendly and attentive. Quickly corrected a missing component of our order.

As a sucker for White Castle, I had to stop! Drive through since it was so late and as you all know it is usually when you hit a White Castle, IYKYK. Server was friendly and patient. Took my order and even repeated it back to me. But when I got my bag and got back to my hotel, I was missing two sandwiches! You know what Joe Pesci says. So the double cheese were as expected but def disappointing were the chicken and fish. They were both over cooked. Very sad. All in all still will visit again and again. I just love my White Castle.

WC is always a MUST! One of my childhood favs, came here while in the area to get my fix and I am SO glad I came! Everything was fresh and hot off the grill. I ordered a #2 with FF , onion rings and fish nibblers. Don't judge LOL! Eat some now and save some for later. One hick up the drive thru speaker was not working correctly so I basically had to scream into the speaker. The lady who took my order was very nice, patient and made sure my order was correct. Definitely give this location a try!

The service is lacking, or more so, is part of the experience, but the food makes up for it. We stop every time on our drive from KC to STL.

The line didn't seem too bad, so we decided to stop by the drive thru. It ended up taking 40 minutes before we received our crave box. Fortunately, it was as tasty as I remembered but definitely not worth that wait! I wish I would have checked the reviews before stopping in because I didn't want it THAT badly. So if you want to stop here, please be sure you are ready to wait!

I did a drive up order. It took four tries to get the order read back correctly. It then took over 15 minutes to get up to the window. When I got there the lady reached for my payment. I pulled it back and asked for her to confirm my order before I paid. She then asked me what I ordered. I had enough at the point and told them to forget it. This is the third time that I have had a horrible experience with this White Castle. Service is horrible and it takes an exorbitant amount of time for them to fill orders. Easily one of the worst fast food restaurants that I have been to.

This was my first time at White Castle and that sh*t was sooooo good! I did not have high hopes based off things I've heard ( nothing about the location), but it was so good that I never want to eat at any other White Castle so I can keep the memory and boost about how freaking good that was! Thank you to the staff working on May 1st @ 11:30! Y'all killed it tonight!

Slowest "fast" food I've ever gotten. Been to many other locations but this one is terrible, I'm currently still in the drive through waiting for my food. It's been 37 minutes and there is no food in sight. Very very disappointed. What a waste of time

If you like White Castle sliders, you will like these. Nothing beats fresh sliders! I don't even mind the long wait. I expect it when I go in the lobby because I know they have to prioritize the drive through. Come to expect a wait. What gets this one star is 1) They have no extra napkins out. 2) They don't serve your food in a tray when you eat in. They toss everything in a sack and that's what you get. 3) Don't dare ask for ketchup. I got four sliders and a medium fry. I politely asked for ketchup. The girl hands me four packets. Ok, that's a packet each for each slider. So I say, "Can I get some ketchup to go with my fries, please?" The way the girl looks at me would make you think I asked her to go out of her way. Yeah, go out of her way to move her hand back into the secret stash of ketchup packets and hand me some more. I got two more. Two ketchup packets for a full medium fries. Hey, White Castle-you do know people travel from out of town to eat here right? Why make it seem like you despise the customers who are darkening your door to help pay for your wages? The way she acted, you'd think the ketchup cost was coming out of her pocket. If you want White Castle, where else are you going to go? Still beats the frozen sliders heated up in the microwave. But bring your own condiments. This place acts like you're asking for gold coins if you request more than what they think you should get. And you sure as heck are never going to get ketchup unless you ask.

Just Love WC. ALL GOOD CLOEST IS 60 miles away. Yes make the drive. 3 double cheeseburger and fries. Mmmmmmmm

2nd time at this White Castle, they do not disappoint with how gross the food is. Sliders? Mushy and underdone, cheese fries? Oh you'll find weird objects in there. Save your time, money and health - avoid this place.

They won't let you give zero stars so I had to at least give one. After sitting in the drive-through for two minutes I realized they were open. It's just nobody was working. Completely empty drive-through completely empty lobby. Pretty pathetic.

Was my first time after a comedy show I went to in Columbia. The line was long and not moving fast but I'm glad I got to finally try them. The burgers were warm and the ice cream shake was good.

I've eaten here several times passing through Columbia over the years and never gotten bad food or a wrong order. I always feel like I got my money's worth. For cheap fast food I'll take it over McDonald's, Sonic, Whataburger, or In N Out any day of the week.

The filthiest fast food restaurant I've ever seen. Dead flies by the non functioning drink machine, sticky floors and doors and just mildly annoying to finish off the experience--no bottom bun on my burger. I took my food and threw it away. I don't see how this place can pass health codes.

Food was great as always. Worker had her little kids sitting in the lobby like it's her daycare center. Pop machine was out of order and acted like we were bothering them when we asked how they expected us to get our drinks. Store was dirty and floor was sticky. Would never go back to this location. Next time we will wait until we get to aSt Louis

I've never been to a White Castle as they don't have them where I live. After a long day of driving we were excited to try it. The drive through was busy, not unlike in n out burger in California where we live. So we expected to wait a while. We went inside and waited at least 10 minutes before anyone took our order. I get it, they were busy, but no one even greeted or acknowledged that we were waiting. We had our order taken and waiting another 20 minutes while the three people that came in and ordered after us got their food. We had two separate ordered and mine was the second. When I finally got my food the other party with me asked about there's and was told someone took their order. Unless they gave it away in the drive through that did not happen as we were right there and they did not call our name. We finally got our food with a less that sincere apology and we're on our way. The food was ok. The burgers were mostly bread. The fries were good and the chicken and waffle slider was excellent, best thing we had from there. I will never go to any White Castle again. The food was not worth is and definitely wouldn't go to this location and get ignored again.

We went through the drive through to place an order. After waiting several minutes with no one responding to take our order, the woman on the speaker finally told us we could order when we were ready, which we had been for several minutes just waiting in silence. We asked if there was a deal on ordering 10 castle burgers, she sighed really loudly as if annoyed and then said, 'hang on.' After waiting several more minutes for her response, she finally spoke again and told us we could order when we were ready. Never answering us. We asked the same question multiple times and she could not give us an answer, but kept saying, 'Is that all you want?' Even tho we hadn't placed an order yet. Customer service was very wanting. Burgers were great though.

We are staying across the street and we visited White Castle three times. Each time it tastes better. It's our favorite family tradition to get some sliders. The staff was so friendly and the service was great. The restaurant was decorated with cool old photos of White Castle early days. Thanks for making our trip.

Waited 45 minutes past the pickup time for an online order. Acted like they were doing me a favor when they finally gave me my food. There really is no excuse for that level of jackassery.

This is the nicest looking White Castle I've ever been in. I moved away from Michigan to a state that doesn't have them, and I'm in Columbia for a couple of days so I was happy to visit. Monday afternoon and it wasn't that busy. The place was clean and the staff was somewhat friendly. My order came out quick and accurate. I wish I was in town longer to re-visit.

We drove over 300 miles round trip because there isn't one in my area!!! Craving a burger that a freezer section couldn't compare to we decided the only cure was the real thing, so off we went. 4 sliders with cheese, mac bites, fries, onion rings, and some chicken rings. We also had to try the new sloppy joe sliders, and man I'm glad we did!!! The service was a bit slow, and we asked for a milkshake; after ordering it and paying we were told they didn't have any. It was a 3 star service, but the food made up for it. I forgot that their batter basically taste like funnel cake without the powdered sugar! The burgers as always were amazing, the fries were terrible, and the onion rings and chicken rings were amazing because of said batter!! But ohhhh man those new sloppy Joe's with cheese and the fried onion. I hope these become a staple, and it's not just a limited time thing.

This was my first trip to White Castle since they were in the Hills concession stand, or was it Ames? back in the day. This is a stand alone, drive thru run of the mill fast food place that is also nearby Pizza Hut and various places of that nature. I came in and ordered a #2 slider meal and was given a cup for yet again a Coke machine that had he screen and NEVER HAS ANYTHING PROPERLY STOCKED IN IT. Plus those machines taste terrible. Went with a Powerade. Being able to look in the back it was very messy and unorganized. The guy upfront who took my order was really nice (not with the long long dreads but the other guy with dreads). The back was messy, things looked somewhat unsanitary, so I would say clean that up or make it so we can't see what's cooking in the back. Food was so-so, fries were crispy but the burgers were not very done well.

Always a little messy, the food always tastes good (if you ask for it as it comes on the menu). Good substitute for bowel prep in a pinch. Just a win-win situation!

So I love white castle and I would really love to give a great review but unfortunately I cannot I'm in town because I have family in the ICU we show up in the drive-through at 10 o'clock And as we are waiting to turn to 1001 when we get up he hast to take her order in as we're getting our order he says oh wait it's after 10 were closed We asked politely come on man it's 1001 can you please help us we're just getting done at the hospital we just need some food and he said nope 10 o'clock we close quite possibly the worst experience I've ever had and white castle not to mention there were still cars in the drive-through that were being served but we they decided could not be definitely will be choosing not to go back to white castle even though it was always a childhood favorite and I try to visit one every time I see one being as there's none close to me

This place is an absolute dump. Dirty, trash everywhere. Customer service is a joke. Order is wrong. McDonalds and Burger King is across the street. Save yourself the headache and go there.

For White Castle, we had a great lunch. We don't have this chain locally so we try to hit it anytime we find this restaurant. Fresh is so much better than frozen from the grocery store. They have cheese options! American, smoky cheddar or jalapeño. They also have fried pickles (a little greasy but fried fresh and piping hot). And no visit is complete without chicken rings. Everything was hot and fresh. Unfortunately they were out of ranch. honey mustard is good on the chicken rings, as is the bbq sauce. I used horseradish mustard on the pickles but would have been better with ranch. Good service and everyone was pleasant.

Amazing. This is the third time I have stoped her and there is no one inside or answering the drive through during business hours. No sign up saying they are closed. Just MIA with 5 cars in the drive through. Even called the store phone and no answer. The franchise needs to take at look at this local owner manager as they appear to not be keeping the store open and not putting up a closed sign for customers.

Hard to even give 1 Star when you couldn't even be waited on!! We stood at the counter for over 5 minutes without anyone even acknowledging us!! It's like they stared right through us! Now I know why there weren't any other cars there!! Owner needs to change out all staff and start new!! There were many workers there at this time as well. Maybe it's a good thing they didn't take our order....the grills and fryers looked nasty af anyway!!

This was a nasty dirty dining area. It hadn't been cleaned in some time. The trash was overflowing and the tables were not clean. The soda machine was empty of half the drink choices. I went to pick up my meal and a person was sleeping behind the counter with their head on the table. The staff wasn't friendly at all, but the food was ok. I wouldn't recommend eating here as you might end up sick.

Terrible service! Girl on the register was so stoned she couldn't even function! 35 minute wait for hamburgers! Go somewhere else please! I will never stop here again!

On our way to St Louis, we decided to check our White Castle since it hasn't been in Kansas City area for a long time. We ordered the fish slider, seafood crab cake slider, the original slider, chicken & waffle slider with a side of fries, mozzarella sticks and shrimp nibblers. Everything was served on paper plates with cardboard cover for the sliders. In my opinion, all of the cardboard covers seem wasteful. I wish there was a recycling area. We liked everything besides the waffle slider because it was dry and overly sugary for our tastes. The fries were bland. I would pass on the fries next time I'm in the area. The original sliders are the way to go. The small bite size sliders are perfect for those who want to try other sliders. I recommend the original slider and the fish slider.

This place is horrible. I can't even give it more than 1 star, which is for the food. The service is always terrible. The people there are rude and and food always takes forever. The only good thing about it is the food. Other than that, it's a piss poor excuse for a restaurant.

First NOT OPEN 24 HOURS!!!!!!!! Just went by and they were CLOSED!!!! WTF! So Saturday I came by sat in the drive they for 30 min AND NIT ONE CAR MOVED!!!! AND THE LOBBY WAS LOCKED!!! so I got out of line and thought I would come back Monday evening on the return trip... OK WTF! First this location ALWAYS SUCKS WITH SERVICE AND IS DIRTY. THEY ALWAYS SCREW UP MY ORDERS AND THEY ARE NOT COMPLICATED. The manager always seems to A. Be arguing with staff or B. Kicking around flirting with a younger customer she thinks is cute giving them their orders before others who ordered before. That's it I am bypassing this cr@p hole and getting it in Clancy Missouri or Brentwood. I will wait the extra two hours.

We came here for Valentine's Day as a fun and lighthearted way to celebrate. We were very pleasantly surprised by our experience! Everyone who worked here was dressed up and more than friendly all evening. If you read any of my reviews, you'll quickly know that I am a very picky critic. That said, this experience blew past even my expectations. We made our reservations as soon as it was available and I am glad, it was packed! Despite the crowd, we overheard the manager several times making sure her crew was being split properly between managing the drive thru and providing the dine in guests a full experience. She was on top of everything and it showed! We were asked several times how everything was, if we needed anything, refills, etc. We had a blast and would recommend everyone to come by this location! Thanks for a great night!

They are not open 24x7. Came in for a Mizzou game looking for a late night snack and they were closed. Hotel lobby snacks are not the same. Get it together

The staff is moving at literally slow speeds, the girl with the neck tattoo working the line walked out from the kitchen and touched the door and the register and then literally went back to making food with the same gloves she was wearing. They all had attitude. We're from out of town and wanted to try White Castle since we don't have them where we live and this was a disgustingly bad experience. They also locked the doors so more people couldn't come in.

I've only been to White Castle a few times. I didn't grow up with it and am 55 now and only had my first one when I was 47. Since then I've been twice,. But, I have to give it 4 stars, (I know, if you read my other reviews you're thinking: "You, four stars for White Castle!"). Yes, because it is an original taste, and they do get you kind of hooked. The staff was fine, since I have to study the menu like it's my last meal, I was the only hold up. My girlfriend and I shared the 10 slider combo with cheese.

We no longer have a White Castle where we live. We drove over two hours away to my daughters college and lost and behold we found one!! We had to stop and share this gem with them! The food, staff and cleanliness were excellent!! And White Castle now has a new generation of our family hooked!

It had been awhile since my last White Castle visit, but the little sliders hit the spot. The crispy chicken sliders were really good, I had never had those before. The inside was clean and the order was made pretty quickly even during the rush. The customer service was noticeable interesting. There were some customers that seemed to be rude and really needy to the staff and you could see that the staff was really rough around the edges in their responses to those customers. Then the staff was really helpful and courteous to the customers that just being polite.

As far as White Castle goes the quality was extremely low. I've had better White Castle burgers from my grocer's freezer section. Burgers were falling apart and jammed in the bag.

You either hate or love White Castle.. I absolutely love it and always try to eat at one when the road trip permits! This location was very clean and the employees were excellent. Our food came out quickly and came out hot. No complaints whatsoever and would come here again!

Family road trip to my adult children first time at White Castle. Some what of a disappointment to my daughter. Wasn't bad service was a little slow . Was a busy place. Would stop again.

This particular visit took 18 minutes to get through drive-thru with 3 cars in front of us. The car directly in front us left the line before getting their food (guess they had enough) and then WC gave us their food by mistake and had to reverse the charge..in 24 hours of course....we eventually got our 7 burgers, 2 onion rings and 1 soda. Not a huge order. Fast food this is NOT - we'll be back to try again one day, but figure it out team.

He he he, I finally tried White Castle! Ridiculous, I know, but this fast food burger joint has always eluded me on my travels to the other side of the US. We decided to stop by and give it a go for lunch though and I was more pleased than I thought. The trick to eating White Castle? Don't be starving because you'll over order and end up with cold, blah burgers and fries. Get a small order and then place another one after you receive your first so that the burgers are always hot and fresh. Something about those chopped onions and ketchup on a tiny adorable bun make my heart (and tummy) rumble. Once they cooled down though, they weren't very good at all and the buns turn soggy. The sweet potato fries comes with a sweet or chipotle sauce. Get both, they let you. Would I eat this on the west coast? Probably not unless I'm in the mood to pretend I'm a giant. Would I try it again if I was around Como? Sure!

I drove an hour and a half and decided to stop for white castles and the line is 10 cars deep because they've decided to be drive through only!! They move super slow and now they close the interior?

My kids love White Castle but we don't have them very close to where we live. We stopped by White Castle in Columbia, MO Memorial Day weekend. When we walked in all the tables were dirty. We stood in line for about 20 min and were finally told we had to go outside to drive thru and order. This was Saturday lunch. We stopped by the bathroom and it was disgusting and no toilet paper. We went to the drive thru to order and the line was out of the parking lot. Decided to back out and leave.
