White Castle

Ordered burgers from here on Grubhub and they sent oldest, driest burgers I’ve ever seen. It’s insane they thought it was okay to send something out with this quality

The food took about an hour to make. Super busy location. The staff was friendly to me but I was watching. She was sassy to about some other people. Maybe they were being rude too. The food was great after getting it. Washrooms they need to buzz you in. Place is kinda not so clean but I liked the sliders.

White Castle is consistent. Food was as expected. Burgers were piping hot and fresh. The service was ok at best but the experience was off. We couldn't use the bathroom. I paid for an item and then was told they didn't have it so instead they just gave me something else. 😂🤷‍♀️. I asked for a cup for ice and was told no...even though I paid for a half gallon of punch. No ketchup or condiments of any kind included. It wasn't busy but just seemed like no one wanted to be there...which, I get it but...come on, man.

I am and always been a big fan of White Castle. I love the little square sliders. Fries aren't the best but OK. So you really can't say, this review is not bias.

This white castle has been consistently short staffed for months with only 2 ppl working. You'll wait 10 to 15 minutes to GET to the counter to pick up an order that's already cold by then. The lady at the front today let TWO people jump in front me while I was there BEFORE them.

Lazy employees. Very slow workers. Unprofessional managers.. this White Castle director’s should fixe this problem earlier.. every time that I came there even if I’m alone with the 4th workers they really slow. Many customers told me that’s its same with them. Some people order but use to cancel them orders cause of the exaggerated waiting time.. Many complaints about this whites Castel... I never see a so slower fast food in my life... I feel sorry for white Castel big boss.. I’m sorry for this review but things need to change.. thanks

Harlem is highly privileged to host the only two White Castles inside the whole Manhattan, which I honestly don't understand why there aren't more of it inside the island, since it's a great value and tasty burger. It's amazing to order a bunch of sliders and eat them all. It can take a while for your food to get ready, but it doesn't matter, it's a great burger for a very affordable price.

White Castle needs to be given credit for giving us quick eats and a good price. Sometimes I need a flashback to my high school hamburger eating days. You can easily eat two or three. I gotta have the pickles and onions. Guarantee I'll have a stomach ache but I gotta do what I gotta do! I'm glad this White Castle is still open and in walking distance from my apartment.

My sister an I jus left this location! 8:54 12/26/24 Its been a min since I've ordered from this location. Each time, besides today, I never had an issue with my meal. When I say these burgers were dry, I should've ordered a drink with my meal. That's how dry. What's worse I was stuck in traffic for almost 3 hours heading back to the city from Pennsylvania, stopped at my storage down the street. Once I left my sister figured we'll get WC. I said sure because I NEVER had this problem. I felt confident. HA! For what was that..I came back to my Uncles, starving in hopes to enjoy my meal After a long ride back..WRONG! I was pissed because I wasted my time, my sisters time and money. I could've went with my gut, literally and jus ordered 5 tacos for 20 bucks on 116th an 2nd Ave. As you can see, I took a bite at majority of them trying to make the best of it, hoping another burger wasn't as awful..I was wrong each slider was dry. The funny part is, there wasn't that much service when we got there. In House or Drive Thru. So why would you serve dried up patties that were sitting on the grill for that long?? Keep in mind, I work in Food service. I can tell when a beef burger patty is severely dry. Especially WC beef patties. ITS SMALL! It doesnt take much to cook them. So, Yea, it will be my forever last time eating at WC..This location specifically. if you wouldn't eat something that's at poor quality, why in TF would you serve it to the customer? Like let's think with our brains here. Other than that, the lady at the drive thru was nice. Overall, the food, food handling on staff, Be better, Do better.

Food was great especially for in the middle of the night like 3am munchies! Fast service too you wouldn't know that they're this busy but they are and they are still quick.

This restaurant is in the iconic Hotel Theresa. The food is compliant for your views on chain fast food and their guidebook. The service is surprisingly consistent on my at least half dozen visits. I'm vegetarian now and I like that there's an Impossible slide now. The really big downside is sometimes there's seriously erratic, sketchy characters (like most of New York City these days, political!) that make this spot unsavory. Sometimes I turn around and walk out and I never use the eat-in tables.

Fulfills the crave when you have it. First, I can't believe I'm about to review a White Castle, but then again it's a very respectable dining institution after all, right? One of the few White Castles in Manhattan and it shockingly has a parking lot for quite a few cars. You would think the last place in Manhattan to afford space for a parking lot is White Castle, but you'd be wrong. We dropped in for lunch on a Saturday afternoon to redeem a T-mobile deal and, at first, the White Castle was empty, but minutes later, the hoards of hungry (and I think sober) people came pouring in. People eat at White Castle before 12am? And sober too? It was a revelation for me. The cashier was relatively friendly and the workers were churning up crave case after crave case, but we managed to get our meager 8 sliders, fries and onion rings in a decent amount of time. White Castle is White Castle, so I don't think I need to explain the quality of the food or how delicious it is no matter what time it is. All you have to know is that we survived and managed to hold in any bowel movements for much later in the day.

Wait is ridiculously long. Way too long for a White Castle. If you're hungry I don't recommend going.

After eating at this White Castle, the entire brand is ruined and both ends of my digestive tract pucker in defense against this sick ass shit I just put into my body. My friend and I made the mistake of ordering anything at all from here, but we wanted some Impossible Sliders. We'd had them before at another White Castle and they were surprisingly good. These...were not. To top it off, the staff was yelling in the kitchen about how they dropped our food. Pretty sure one of us ate one "Yelper's Special" that spent some time on beshitted ground. If anything is worse than eating off the floor of the L train at 3am on Friday night it would be this. That Coca-Cola freestyle was on point though. Had to earn that one star somewhere.

Did an online order last night and my girlfriend did one on her phone too bc we have a free promo on our phones on the app so I ordered on and so did she. My girlfriend goes in at first to get the food since I was outside with the dog but then the "manager" even though we had two different confirmation numbers refused to give us the other meal that we ordered because she couldn't give two of the same deal to one person.... So I went inside with the dog this all happened at around 12:40am if you guys look at your camera that's when you then see me come in with the dog because she was trying to say she couldn't give my girlfriend the other order so now I'm here with the order in my hand on my phone completely different order with a different confirmation code... now the manager wants to ignore us so I'm asking another girl to help us and she says "oh I can't do anything its whatever the manager says" I don't understand why you guys have promotions and deals if your own manager doesn't want to give them out when people have already ordered it for pick up. I'll also be showing you guys the email that supposedly she had but then lost and because she couldn't find it she couldn't hand out the food. That was another excuse she used. Just sad and pathetic clearly you guys need to train your staff more your "manager" refused to give me an order I had already ordered how does that make sense

The staffs are always distracted, and seem preoccupied. It is a shame that they can hire people with some work ethic.

I've always dreamt of this place. From Harold & Kumar to the microwaveable versions I've had from the frozen section. I've always wondered how the REAL White Castle tastes. Although the employees seemed hesitant to my order, I ordered one of each burger they had. I'm not sure why they seemed annoyed because the restaurant was empty. How did these compare to the microwaveable ones I've had from the store? They tasted the same! Soggy and cheap. On second thought, the microwaveable versions are better because some of my burgers were cold in the middle. I had to spit some of those out. You're telling me White Castle from the actual White Castle sucks? My childhood dream was ruined. They should change the movie to Harold & Kumar go to Shake Shack or Five Guys... anywhere, but White Castle!!!

The best customer service Julian the manager was very patient and kind and informative of the great new sandwiches that White Castle now has fresh and delicious sandwiches very wonderful staff the cleanest White Castle restaurant I've ever seen.

they use paper straws. for there shakes. I had to wait for the shake to melt to use it. and then was mush and couldnt drink it any way wound up throwing it out. give me a break with this.

Listen, it's White Castle, I don't expect a lot quality wise but at least deliver what I ordered. 3 out of the 5 items I ordered was missing. They could have called but they didn't. They didn't answer the phone when I called, which I was not surprised. Places that can't deliver and don't care should just close.

Classic fast food joint. Not a lot of locations around anymore. Quality is consistent. Their food brings back a lot of nostalgia for me. Customer service is friendly. I ordered a crave case on the website for pick up. The order didn't go through due to technical error upon arrival so I ended up waiting. They were quick to prep and bring out the order. Make sure you select at the end of the order, pay now or pay at store location even if pick up time is listed to avoid extra wait time.

Whit castle is white castle. The food is ok. But they have these chicken waffle things and omg anytime im in the city I have to stop and get them. The wait time at the drive thru is long. Despite being only the second car.

If you've never had white castle just DON'T.This is the nastiest ass shit I ever put in my motherfucking mouth. It taste like soggy ass onion bun with flavorless fucking non-meat patty. I took one bite, spit it out, and threw that crap out the window. I'm against littering, but hopefully this crap decomposes. The fries were ok though.

I ordered 3 cheeseburgers from white it took over 1 hour for the food to arrive I live 1 block away and this is what they sent, saying that my food was fresh. DON'T NO ORDER FROM HERE !! NASTY NASTY NASTY.

There's 3 cars in front of us at the drive thru and we've been sitting here for 45 minutes without any sign of movement. It'll probably be well over an hour before we receive our food. I need to remind myself not to keep coming back because every time we come here, it's always equally as bad. Corporate really needs to work with management on speeding up a service which is supposed to be "fast food"

Fast food is fast food, right? Yes it is. Visiting from Texas where we don't have White Castle and only knows them through movies and tv show, you bet we're going to try one when we can. I like everything I tried at White Castle, wow "chicken rings" that's a new one for me. Look, you come here expecting greatness all your going to get on a unhappy belly. It's a fast food chain, the food is going to taste like fast food "food". I liked it, didn't love it but I do plan on stopping more before I fly back to Texas. Please people don't be do hard on judging and reviewing food and stuff. Not everything is going to be a 10 or a 1, review in the gray areas too. Food 8/10.

I must say this was a shock to me! The burgers was banging. Cant lie i really cant. I was like a hungry hippo i devoured 3 on top of each other and yum. But the fries was to grease the bag i was givem was covered in grease it i wish and you can taste the grease in the after taste. i will be dining for burgers

I went here today 12/20/2021 and must say this is the first time I've been disappointed. They need to change their oil. The onion rings and fish nibblers were HORRIBLE. You could tell the oil was old and dirty thus making the onion rings and fish nibblers hard. I had to throw both out

I always try to forget this White Castle location is actually pretty close to where I live. It beckons me with it's tasty hot little belly bombers. It tries to lure me in with it's crispy onion rings. I have given in a few times and ventured over there only to realize the next morning that this stuff is Human Drain-O! The location itself is decent sized and clean looking overall. Even better, the times I have been here it never seems too crowded. Staff is ok here too and the food comes out quick and fresh. I conveniently try to block this White Castle out of my mind or I would subject myself to this stuff on a regular basis! Hey, sometimes you just crave some fast food self torture! Overall, it's White Castle. You go for the belly fulling cheapness, and pay for it the next morning with a bowel emptying efficiency like none other!

True story. I came here drunk and fell asleep in a booth. Proceeded to wake up an hour later, go up to the window, and ask for my food. WC Staff: You haven't ordered anything... Me: What? I've been waiting for my food! WC Staff: Nah you just been sitting there. You been asleep for like an hour. Me: Holy shit are you serious!? WC Staff: Yeah. Me: Can I please get 4 regular sliders and a side of small fish nibbler? Real review: the fish nibblers here are ON POINT. Crispy on the outside, tender and flaky on the inside. You can tell it's real fish. Seasoning is perfect. Not too greasy. The sliders are good for sure, but the fish is what I come back for. Service is also pretty good. Their threshold for loitering seems to be pretty high.

Only worth one star due to the fries being good, but still not the best. Coming from the WestCoast I had only tried frozen ones. I have to say the reviews of the frozen ones tasting the same as the fresh ones is pretty accurate. Although I thought the frozen ones were better, because the "bun" was not soggy like the fresh one was. These so called "burgers" are disgusting and I will never eat another one again. In-N-Out all day.

Been here twice. Acceptable amount of cleanliness given that it's a White Castle. It's actually one of the cleaner ones I've been to. This location is decently sized, but it seems a little bit on the empty side whenever I've been here. Their sliders and sides are standard of a typical White Castle. The staff is pretty fast and friendly enough. Would definitely come here again if the craving ever strikes.

Extremely slow Service we only ordered a crave case online it said it would be ready in 15 min took them a whole hour and there were 7 people working it's also filthy and gross the floor step it you can see footprints and you can hear how the bittom of you shoe sticks to the floor

Being a native son of California and asian american growing up watching harold and kumar, white castle is one of those places that is mythologized out west. Hyped up in your heart of hearts in a way you know if can't possibly live up to. And it doesn't. But I was still excited to go. And for $.89 a cheeseburger slider you really can't complain. Nothing there is amazing but if you don't go you'll always wonder. On an amusing note the lady who took my order was from Haiti and spoke moslty Haitian Creole, so between her accent and my cold we had an awesome time understanding each other. And by that I mean neither of us really could. Not a big deal in the end since the order came out right be we did a lot of awkward staring at each other. Woo awkward staring!

I'm from California. The only way we can obtain white castle is to get it in the frozen foods isle, or fly out to nyc and get it; and thats precisely what we did. loved it! They are the perfect drunchie and beat jack in the box by 10:1. -2 stars for being in fear of our lives the whole time we were there. Granted, it was 4:30am.

Depressing restaurant, even for WC. Employees have prisoner attitudes. It is as poor as its inconvenient neighborhood. I came for a free meal promo. It was worth what I paid. Murder burgers have you tooting up a storm for hours. My name was never requested, so my order was late given all the deadbeats redeeming offers. Begging for napkins and straws is the norm. Ketchup is a thin, runny WC brand. A BYOK place and a nutritionist's nightmare.

Great fast food and delivery. Their burgers and fries are free from Dairy which is amazing. I cannot have dairy and so I am grateful to have them as an option in a pinch.

Oh white castle~ I finally get to try a "fresh" version of you! The burgers actually taste identical to the ones available in the frozen section. Therefore, a pretty amazing little morsel. The staff was surprisingly nice, and food came out pretty quick. I'm glad I get to check this off my bucket list! hahaha

Seriously? Ugh... they're these tiny, greasy, near meatless burgers. What's the big deal? I'll admit they have flavor, but did I mention how greasy they are? 50% grease, 45% bread, 4% condiments/ misc and 1% meat...

Honestly, it's been overhyped because of a movie. But if you walk into this place with a blank slate, you'll be pleasantly surprised by the price. I mean, 3 bucks for a 2 mini burgers and fries? That's unbeatable. Does it taste like 3 bucks? Yes. But in the hustle and bustle of New York City, sometimes, you just need something cheap.

Of course, as seen on Harold and Kumar, this place was a must try during my visit in New York. Me and my five friends saw the size of the burger and decided to order 20 and ended up donating half of the to the homeless. The burger was petite, which made it more desirable, as it did not stuff you after two like a Big Mac would. The fries and onion rings were also very enjoyable and I would definitely love to go again.

White Castle - you either LOVE it or HATE it. Only two locations in Manhattan. Luckily, I live within a reasonable distance of one. Seedy location, staffed by seedy people. But man, White Castle!

Hey, we used to call these "murder burgers' back in the day. They're delicious going down, but then get ready for the intestinal fireworks. But that's part of the fun, am I right? (No? Well, okay then.) Anyway, I eat these (for the sake of nostalgia, I assure you) once every 2-3 years. That said, I've been to this location twice (the drive-thru) and the burgers were fresh and mouth-watering, and the people working there were overall very nice and courteous. Live it up and get yourself a slider! Or two, or three or ten...
