Asian fast-food standards, plus creative sides & drinks, served in a relaxed locale.
"After voting at the White Center Library, we think you should dip some chicken tenders into five different sauces from Bok A Bok. Order a spread of Korean fried chicken, with side dishes like kimchi mac and cheese or biscuits with spiced honey, and don’t forget some extra house ranch." - aimee rizzo
"Dipping sauces are the best part about eating wings. If you don’t agree with us, you clearly haven’t tried Bok A Bok Bok. This spot in White Center (with more locations in the U-District, Capitol Hill, and Burien) serves excellent homemade herby ranch, sesame soy garlic, umami BBQ, and a citrusy hot sauce that are all ideal for complimenting a pile of their shatteringly-crunchy Korean-fried chicken. Get the tenders or the wings over sandwiches, which can get soggy in transit, and add on sides like biscuits, kimchi mac and cheese shells, and spiced tater tots to round everything out." - aimee rizzo
"When Bok A Bok is good, it’s really good, and you can expect gluten-free Korean fried drumsticks and thighs with batter that shatters, dunked in tasty dipping sauces like a jazzed-up ranch, or sesame miso vinaigrette. But for the majority of the times we’ve eaten here, we’re disappointed in their chicken, which trends simultaneously soggy and dry. As for sides, you’re in good hands with some incarnation of fried potato, or a homemade biscuit with spiced honey. And while the heat and crispy garlic topping on the kimchi shells and cheese is enticing, we constantly wish there was more salt. We also wish it wasn’t overcooked. If you’re in a pinch and are interested in spending around $15 on a quick meal, you can certainly do that here and not be angry. Especially if you just order some tater tots alongside every delicious dip in the building. photo credit: Nate Watters" - Aimee Rizzo
"With a small, bright interior and friendly service, Bok a Bok serves up juicy double-fried Korean chicken, flaky biscuits, and creamy kimchi mac and cheese. The spicy chicken sandwich with a four-chili sauce and pickled Serrano peppers is a delicious choice for those who like heat. You can also stop by anytime on Taco Tuesdays and get six of their sweet and salty bulgogi chicken tacos for the price of three." - Jenise Silva
"Bok a Bok is the top local Korean fried chicken chain with locations on Capitol Hill, White Center, and a new expansion in Burien. The long lines and rapid growth of Bok a Bok suggest Bonchon’s timing is right for entering the Seattle market." - Megan Hill
