"A historic miner’s cottage from 1883 may not scream lunch spot with a line out the door, but White House Tavern has held that title in Aspen for more than a decade. Operated by the ever-consistent Hillstone Restaurant Group, this tiny-but-mighty layout runs like a well-oiled (and very well-staffed) machine. The menu is tight, featuring menu items exclusive to this location alongside hits from across the Hillstone portfolio like the Macho Salad, Honor Burger, and that crispy chicken sandwich everyone’s Instagrammed at least once.
