My friends and I went on Saturday night and it was packed. Lots of good energy and vibes. The DJ was inclusive and played all types of generes, spinning everything from Latino to house, techno, rap etc. The drinks were on point, cocktails averaging $15 and they were STRONG which I appreciated for the price. The only downside? The service. One of the guys at the door had a bit of an attitude, and the bartender seemed perpetually annoyed making drinks? Even though we tipped each time. Still, I'd give it another shot for the overall good time. Also the street it’s situated on has a lot of other bars if you’re not feeling this one so it’s really well located to bar hop.

Came on a Sunday. A new day for them. Quiet but great to talk to a friend. The reviews for this place are strangely old. Years back. The menu has some expensive pours that don’t feel like a talented niche.

Great atmosphere, great service, clean bathrooms, DJ is alright for a mixture of top 40s, hip hop, and house. Gets a bit crowded. Great drinks.

Been here a few times. This place used to have a great vibe and fun music. Pretty sure it’s under new management. Not nearly as fun as it used to be. Mostly because of the staff. Was there recently. Staff was rude for no reason. EVERY person who works there seems to have a chip on their shoulder. Not sure what’s going on but hopefully they fix it. Until they do, there are lots of fun places in this area. Don’t need to waste your time or money here now. Just go someplace else. Like next door or across the street. And to update: they were nicer last time I went by… so who knows. Fun place if everyone’s feeling it. Not so much if they aren’t.

There is a reason this place gets so busy on the weekend nights. White Rabbit has good people, music and positive vibes. If your looking for a night out with a fun crowd this is a great spot to go.

House nights on Thursdays are funnn. Only complaint is the seating is a little awkward as there are couches right in front of the dj booth so it feels super packed if you want to dance. Good pregame or date spot. Didn’t try food drinks were good and decent selection of NA cocktails

Had high expectations but slightly disappointed. Food was ok - noodles were mediocre. Atmosphere is cute just wish food was better.

I always enjoy a nice bar with good interior. The drinks are all well made and delicious. The friendly service we received, got us our drinks in a timely manner. Try it out if you are around the area or just because. One of my go to bars!

A chill bar and lounge, with modern and stylish furnishings and artwork on the walls, a stack of vinyl near the DJ booth, and a diverse range of tunes to be heard on a Saturday evening around 7pm, a combination of pop, hip hop, and house music, along with cult classics playing on the TV screens. Staff provided standard service at the bar, no waits, no problems. The fit bunny was my fave, a nice blend of strawberry and lemon flavors and a decent amount of alcohol to balance it out. But the other cocktails we tried were good too, the lucky in kentucky, and brown butter old fashioned which had a unique chocolate taste. Cool spot, would definitely return, but timing is everything.

My group and I came and left so quick. We went out last night to White Rabbit to go bar hopping. It smelled of bad B.O. and just super crowded. We didn't even get a first round of shots. Maybe we'll try another night, but last night was not it.

A quick disclaimer - I've been to white rabbit multiple times (and loved it!) and have never had an issue until this bouncer. To set the precedence - I was celebrating a birthday with a few friends. After my friend slipped him a $20 to skip the line (which he chastised us for saying out loud because he'd get in trouble with his boss), he let us in through the back door to the back of the club. Later that night, I left the bar to ask the same bouncer if I could let two more of my friends come in. I offered to pay the same rate to let them in (just to quickly say hi to my friends, they were just passing by). He then started yelling, "how tacky, how dare you suggest that!" & slurs at me and aggressively getting in my face. My friends tried to calm him down. A few passerby suggested I let it go, but I left shocked. The other bouncers didn't hear. Anyways, I hope this guy get some sort of training. Don't come here with a group, and @management - train your fucking bouncers. ***I have 15 people to back up my story too, so please don't gaslight me.

I think it's a beautiful venue. Very comfortable seating, pleasant people working here We came for The Doors and the DJ playing the tapes from the Matrix when Jim Morrison sang and recorded it. This place used to be called the Matirix The history of this place is really interesting It's called White Rabbit because of Jefferson airplane was the house band. Also Boz scaggs, Santana, Grateful Dead, and many more performed here. I wonder if patrons know this? The bartender took my wine order immediately even tho it was crowded. Which I really appreciated No food service which I kinda missed I did leave early cause everyone was talking so loudly I couldn't hear the music the dj was playing (my friend went in bathroom and said she could hear music perfectly, fyi)

My favorite place to party in SF. No matter where I start the night, I always end up at the white rabbit. All the staff are super cool. Great sound system and good Dj's. I love how it's a high energy bar. Also the VIP room in the back is a whole different speakeasy type vibe. And after 2 am the party moves to the sidewalk, which is a lot of fun too. Unlike other places in town, you feel safe here.

Cool bar if you're under 23 years old, have no specific music taste, and like being packed in a crowd LOL. Drinks are bare minimum. The bar is small and always seems packed. Dance floor full of sweaty people with flailing arms. The DJ actually has some pretty decent DJ skills (can transition well and actually up there working hard vs playing next on a playlist) but the music just shuffled through different genres to try to please everyone. 15min of edm, 15min of Latin/reggaeton, 15min of pop/top40, 15min early 2000s, and repeat. It looks cool from the outside and the big glass doors/windows, lighting, mural wall, and long line to get in definitely make it look enticing from the street... but if you're not in the demographic described in the first line of this review I'd keep walking.

Weirdo Indian reviewer told us to get out the line when someone else's vape fell out their pocket, service was So bad. Be took the vape and started talking Spanish and wouldn't let us in.

Love this place! Awesome decor, lighting, music and the bartenders were great. Really great soundsystem and a super fun crowd! Will be back for sure.

Out of all the nearby bars in the area, White Rabbit was by far the best one. That being said, it was still an interesting vibe. There was a variety of different ages and the music was giving frat. The drinks weren't too bad though overall. I tried the 70 calorie margarita which I highly don't recommend (honestly my fault though like what was I thinking trying to stay skinny at a bar) and the fit bunny which was much yummier. The drinks also came out super quickly.

Keep an eye out on your stuff here, my wallet got pickpocketed out of my purse. Happens a lot here apparently

Normally a big fan of white rabbit, but this Wednesday night was a different story. It was the end of the night and we were finishing our drinks. We were complementary to the dj bc he was playing after the band finished and it took a turn for the worse. He became aggressive and started to harass us, to the point where we didn't even finish our drinks. I told the staff that this was a little intense and we left. He continued to yell at us from across the room even as we were exiting. I really hope he doesn't continue to work here. This was highly inappropriate and uncalled for.

The drinks here are strong and there's always a lot of people crowding this area at night. Unfortunately, I've seen this place at its better days and sadly, post-pandemic did not treat this place well. It could be the people who frequent this place, but every time I go, there's always a brawl happening and service could be a lot better.

30 minute line to get in? I understand if you are at capacity, but as we made our way to the front, we saw around 12-15 people leave. Bouncers still didnt let people in. Never a fan of businesses that use having a line as a way to look cool or exclusive. Speaking of bouncers, one bouncer in particular didnt like how i was right outside the stansion waiting with my group of friends. He said i cut the line and even after my friends vouched for me, he wouldnt budge. He said he's been watching me and i couldnt leave the line and come back to my friends? I left the line since 1. It was a 30 minute line, and 2. I had another friend around the block not feeling well. After a VERY small verbal dispute, the bouncer reaches for his gun to escort me out? Why is a gun your first resort. Didnt ask me to leave and his partner did not even say a single word. This altercation maybe lasted 15 seconds and a gun had to be flashed to me. Pretty sickening knowing the state our country is in regarding gun violence.

Wish I could give NO STARS!!! Apparently there's a no baggy clothes policy that only gets enacted when it's convenient for them.... Love the attention to detail on the 8.5x11 printer paper sign they created halfway through our stay, which ultimately got us kicked out. The bartender was wearing "baggy clothes" so love the irony of the situation!

Went on a Thursday evening, the crowd was as expected, and the service was quick. There was a DJ and plenty of seating indoors and outdoors. The frozen PSL was surprisingly good and highly recommend trying it!

Have a Birkin bag and a (minimum) $40k wrist watch and you can cut the line on a Friday night. You'll bypass the line and enter through the side door/alley. Once you enter, you end up in a private room. When you walk out to the main area, you'll realize you're older than almost everyone by god knows how how many years and want to go home. Done. this place was a ton of fun. they played music that was really fun and the drinks were fairly cheap for the area. i liked the midori sour the most, that drink will sneak up on you tho be careful! they had a nice little area inside for my group to sit down at and the couch was so comfy. the interior design is hip and i absolutely loved this place. a great clubbing spot if you're in sf!

The security white rabbit hires is insane. I was standing inside and the security randomly came up and pushed me to start something over nothing?? The security that white rabbit hires wants to start fights for nothing! Sooo inappropriate as a company's

Literally racially profiled my friend. He had a ticket to new years and he was the only one of our friends who wasn't allowed. He was the only brown friend in our group and the only one not allowed. We were all fairly drunk, but he was told he was too drunk. This argument didn't make sense as we were all approximately the same level of intoxication. If you're a POC beware of racial profiling by bouncers here.

ABSOLUTE WORST EXPERIENCE I'VE HAD! I've lived in the city for almost 2 years and have been out in the marina 50+ times. This is the first time I've been to this bar specifically. It was really crowded and cramped. I always bring a purse when I go out and make sure that it's crossbody and zipped. I didn't realize until I was outside of the bar that my wallet was not in my purse anymore. Credit cards, my license, cash, etc. was stolen. When I asked one of the bouncers if he could help me find my wallet/let me back in and help me look for it he was incredibly unhelpful, unsympathetic and rude. He said sorry I can't help you, I have to let people in. I was with my friend, her boyfriend, and other friends. They talked with a different bouncer for 5 minutes and I finally was able to get back in. Unfortunately couldn't find my wallet, it was way too crowded, so I was out of luck. I was baffled overall with the treatment I received from this bar. As a young woman I was shaken by this experience, I will definitely not go back to this bar and wanted to make other people aware that pickpocketing is real even if you have your valuables zipped up and near you, watch out!!!

I was in line for white rabbit behind my two friends. They were let In and then the bouncer stepped on one of my friends shoes and got pissed. When I called it out he asked if I wanted to be on his side or be kicked out and I said I wanted to be in my friends side. He then kicked me out of line. So me and all of my friends weren't let in. This guy has a superiority complex for being 5'8 max. I want at 11pm on October 7

Not all the staff but some of them, gave people an awful experience. Friday night June 24th one of the bartenders at the bar was screaming at a customer because a credit card was declined, that happens many times a day at every restaurant in Marina or SF and employees ARE INSTRUCTED to just let the customer know and the customer will solve it, but no, this employees do scream at customers who are tipping them to let them know the card is not working, then we wrote at the merchant copy receipt "you should have manners" and another employee, long hair, glasses and face mask, 45 years old we guessed, started doing the same and "fuck you" and trying to start a fight, off course he feels he is a bad guy and is safe cause security guards are everywhere. Plus that at the middle of the night a girl went up on top of a high table, which is inappropriate, the security guard instead of using the force properly keeping her safe, helping her to go back to the floor, decided to grab her like he is doing a Wrestling throw, that was awful, abusive, and it seems to be the culture that the staff is adopting. Hopefully owners or managers read this and do something about it. The staff behavior is unacceptable. San Francisco is not like this. Marina is not like this.

I wish I could give zero stars, horrible music front door bouncer is terrible. Hot no A/C seems like a health hazard if you ask me. DO NOT COME HERE.

I do not know what is worse. I came in thinking there was a bar playing a bit more hip hop bc Anderson pakk was playing. I left with hurt ears anger from poor treatment and it wasn't even music I liked. Sf venue owners and djs really gotta realize sf is not a house music only city. Musically catering to the techies is killing sf night life entirely. If you thought the anger was just from the repetitive house music there's a creepy guy there named Christopher with curly hair that says he's management for a "vip section" (neither me or my girlfriend saw it ) who tried to give my girlfriend cocaine and tried to take her to "vip" without me. Whoever thought it was OK to give Christopher a management position must not like their business. I made a yelp account just to write this review don't go to white Rabbit your ears will hurt the staff will try and offer your girl coke and will try and take her to the sketch parts of the bar!!!! would give 0 stars if possible.

This place holds the line to pretend they are busy. Expensive drinks . Bathrooms are always crowded especially for ladies.

Came to see surreal Neil play on Wednesday and 20 minutes I still couldn't get a drink (not too busy maybe 20 people) The bartender was clueless. He finally comes to the other end of the bar and starts serving the people who had just walked in. If I say something I'm rude if wave my hand I'm rude so- I left. Too bad I like Neil but I won't give money to that bartender or the bar. If staffed well it could be nice. Night ruined.

Tried to hand bouncer my ID. He says, "It'll be a 10min wait". Friendly voice: "10 min? It doesn't look crowded inside". "Do you want it to be a 10 minute wait or a 30 minute wait?" Umm... ok. That escalated quickly. We ask again why it'll be 10 minutes, and he cocks his head like a sponge bob meme and starts talking to us like we're toddlers: "It'Ll Be TeN MiNuTeS bECaUsE tHe BaRTeNdErS nEeD tO cAtCh Up..." No worries guy. 10 minute wait wouldn't have been a big deal. No need to be rude and speak to us in a condescending manner. I even asked the second bouncer standing there why this guy was acting like this and he kind of rolled his eyes at the guy knowing he was in the wrong. Maybe someone kicked his puppy.

I don't get why so many bad reviews for White Rabbit Bar? We got there late the other night, but the music seemed decent and we we had seating outside in those pandemic built structures. I had a great time, but it could be just the company I had. I didn't go inside, but this place was the Matrix, and the Matrix was cool too.

Friendly employees, place gets really packed on saturdays, hard to maneuver about, great atmosphere.

My whole group of friends got COVID from White Rabbit. Disgusting. No ventilation and fog on the doors from all the nasty body heat. NOT SAFE. Update: We all got OMICRON from this place. Worse symptoms ever.

The bouncers are racist and tried giving me a lecture about some BS of why I can't get in, the bar's not lit, DJ only plays beep boop music. Definitely not the place to be in SF

Matrix 2.0? The makeover with brighter, more colorful, and more modern decor was well done. At its heart, it's just a bar in the Marina (ok, Cow Hollow). Don't expect a cocktail menu, but the pours were very generous, especially for the price, and my Greyhound was quite tasty. Gone are the fire pits of the Matrix, replaced by three sets of couch areas and a long high top table, which along with the bar take up most of the new foot print (the back area is no more, apparently replaced by bathrooms). If you can snag a couch with friends, it's a great set-up. I wouldn't say relaxing given the vibe, but perfect for settling in as you alternate rounds. The best addition is the DJ. While there was a wall of records behind him, he wasn't actually spinning any. Big points for mashing up I Wanna Dance With Somebody with the beat from We Found Love. Other choices included Beyoncé and Cardi B, which got a few solo folks dancing but it's certainly not a bar to go get your dance on. Saturday around midnight was packed, but not so much that you couldn't find a place and still manage to talk. I imagine as word spreads it'll be another popular spot to complement the Triangle.

Super cute inside. I brought my Brazilian friend in and he felt like he was transported out of America and into a very chic European bar. Love the boys behind the bar, Julian & Scottie. They knew exactly what kind of drinker I was..and proceeded to pull out the red wine, hipster beers, and prosecco. Overall the bar is adorable. Chic, but comfortable.

Lots of college kids. Everyone was so young inside. Drinks were ok. There is a secret VIP room in the corner, must have a different entrance for that.

Bouncers/security terrible. my friends got assaulted by a passerby while we were waiting in line and they did nothing about it, in fact they called all the security to come inside after. Then they refused to let us inside because my friend bleeding and blamed them when they did nothing - don't give this place your business! I wish I could give 0 stars.

Your phones and wallets will get stolen here. I came here on Saturday night with a group of friends. We started the night at Comet Club around the corner and left after witnessing a group of males stealing phones out of girls' purses. The same group of 8-10 males showed up at White Rabbit about 20 minutes later, dispersed into the crowd, and started stealing again. A group of them would stand at the bar while a few would work the room. When something was stolen they would walk back to their friends and hand off the stolen phone / wallet to their accomplises at the bar. We also saw one guy from the group of thieves begin dancing with a girl in the middle of the crowd and after 10-15 seconds slip his hand into her purse. At one point, my friend caught one of them trying to take her wallet out of her purse (which she was wearing). I stepped outside to alert the bouncer about what was happening and he seemed to be completely aware of it. I think they're all in on it.

White rabbit is really not the place to go if there's more than 2 people in your group. It's pretty impossible to get seating, so people usually wind up bartering around to get extra stools from other tables. For the drinks, the 75 cal marg and the fit bunny are both quite good. For food, the hummus and cheese plate are both alright. I don't recommend their coffee + alcohol drink as it's incredibly strong and tastes nothing like coffee.

Great place to have some fun, good drinks, super cool ambiance! I would just recommend to get there a little early just so you don't have to wait in line, especially on the weekends.

My first Yelp review to tell you not to come here. My wallet was stolen out of my bag that i was wearing that was zipped closed and my friends wallet was stolen out of her bag she was wearing. After reading the reviews, i see this has been going on for a long time and the staff is likely in on it and the responses from the business manager are ridiculous!

White Rabbit is the old Matrix's new and improved 2nd removed cousin. If anthropologie was a bar, it'd look like this place. Posh rugs and furniture, snazzy cocktails, and an intimate vibe for you and your +1(s) as well as lots of natural light. Not sure how this place turns up at night, but can't imagine it gets too cray given the decor and feel of a low-key lounge. I wasn't totally impressed with my 14 carrot gold or Mad hatter and wished they had been a little more spirit forward (main reason I'm giving 3 stars), although I'd give an A+ for the creative names. The ambience is totally worth checking out at least once, and if you used to frequent the Matrix then you've gotta get a first hand look at how much the place has changed. Ultimately very necessary to check out during your next Marina rendezvous.

They will let any female, regardless of age into their bar. If they have an ID that says an age 21 or above, they will get in. I would be careful around this club.

Absolutely not worth it in the least. Incredibly scummy bouncer tactics. To have a good night be prepared to spend quite a bit extra just on that

Very interesting spot, bartenders provide good hospitality, I like the environment. Wine and cocktails are on the point. I accidentally ended up on party there after 10pm and no regrets! All recommendations.

Phone was stolen right out of my purse (which I wore crossbody). The security guard said several others had told him the same thing that night (and did nothing else). Phone number does not work, goes straight to voicemail.

Was here for my third time tonight. You know I think it's a nice casual bar to go. Don't count on dressing up to receive attention from any men. It's a bit sleazy, if anything. Long story short, there isn't the best of customer service once you step outside of the bar when it gets too hot. You quite literally get asked to leave the property when you're trying to cool off. There's no real courtesy from the person who called it "his property". Overall I don't recommend for weekends. Much more relaxed on the weekdays. Maybe, that says something.
