Great little brewery in downtown Wake Forest. They have a solid selection of beers and all the ones I tried were really good. They even have darts and a shuffleboard table. The staff was very nice and helpful, too. Best brewery in the area!

Located in downtown Wake Forest, this brewery is an excellent spot to hang out with friends and enjoy some local beer. The interior is very clean, with wooden tables and a darts game that enhance the classic brewery atmosphere. While they have plenty of indoor seating, there's no outdoor area. Although they don't serve food, a food truck was conveniently parked outside during our visit. We tried the beer flights, which are reasonably priced at $8. I particularly enjoyed the Strangers in the Night and Emmalyn beers. Ironically, I expected the Cast Iron Cobbler to be my favorite, but it didn’t quite meet my expectations. Parking is available on the street, and they accept credit cards.

Bring your friends and some room to drink a pint or two. White Street Brewing has some great beer to drink and you can get them about as fresh as they come here. There's a lot of room for -- so it makes a good gather spot as part of your night out, but also, there's a lot of room so you'll want to pack your own atmosphere (hence the friends--remember, this is a brewery first). Kudos to them for allowing you to bring in food. Darts and a couple of TVs provide the background for a long session of drink and talk -- and both the bar and the bathroom were wonderfully clean. Best of all is the bar staff, who are laid back, friendly, and always have a couple of good opinions to give you on what to drink.

Been going here for years. Great beer selection and friendly staff. Any of their IPAs are good. My favorite is their juicy IPA. Allison, is wonderful and friendly. Nice assortment of food trucks.

White Street Brewing Co. is located in the heart of downtown Wake Forest. It opened in 2011, which gosh, seems almost like yesterday. I was there for opening day...with my first kid in tow in a baby bjorn carrier...you guys remember those?! Wake Forest's first brewery, I was super excited! It brought some much needed life and exuberance back into downtown and I feel like it started a mini-revitalization of Wake Forest. They always have a line up of staples, which they call their Main Street series...a kolsch, a couple IPAs, a Beglian Triple, and a Scottish amber. And more often then not, they have seasonal classics or one-offs on the tap menu. The brewery is built right into the tap room, which is cool to sit there and have a beer and look over your shoulder right where some if it is brewed. The reason I say some of it, is because they have a larger production facility close by that handles brewing their regular line-up, which you can see in many restaurants and most grocery stores. There is no food on site, but they routinely have food trucks outside and there are several restaurants you can grab food from downtown and bring right inside...or bring a picnic from home. They have darts, a shuffleboard and sports are usually playing on the TVs. White Street also headlines and supports several local events and clubs...including the ever popular Friday Night on White concert series and hosts the White Street Brewer's Guild (a homebrew club I helped found). If you are ever in downtown Wake Forest, stop by, grab a beer (or a wine or craft soda), take in the rustic history of the building and brewery setup and say hi to a stranger...they just might become your friends✌️

This brewery is part of a great atmosphere in the downtown area. I was visiting friends this day and there was a street concert. The brewery was packed, but we were able to get seats. Beers were great with good pricing. Cool, laid back atmosphere. Will certainly go again.

Service is excellent and a nice view of downtown Wake Forest. Large selection of beer and a food truck on weekends.

The Lowdown: I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE White Street Brewing Company. The service is always exceptional, the beer is delicious(especially Kolsch)and there is just a great ambiance. I have to admit that my first time going to White Street Brewing, I didn't get all the hype. I'm glad I didn't write a review based on that first experience and I wish that I had read reviews prior to going that first time. First, there is no food served at this brewery! That being said, you can bring your own food, have food delivered there, or purchase from a street vendor that is usually parked outside. Had I realized this my first time there I would have been much happier! Second is parking, be prepared to parallel park and/or walk a short distance. If you go early enough, there are a few stores to check out along the street which are pretty cool. White Street Brewing offers some typical bar games such as darts and shuffle board. There are also a couple large TVs for viewing pleasure. It can get a bit crowded there, especially on "Friday Night On White" nights. Also, no matter how busy they are, I have always had great service and typically it's pretty timely too. The bartenders are always smiling and trying to deliver great customer service! If you are in Wake Forest and you like beer, I would say you definitely need to check this place out!

This is a nice tap house for when you want to hang with friends and drink or try new beer. I enjoy traveling to local breweries so this was a great spot while visiting NC. The flights were good (three flights for around $18 altogether). There wasn't a beer that I didn't like out of the 10 that I tried. They don't serve food but do have chips for purchase. Don't expect anything fancy. You order your beer, you bring it to your table, and you enjoy it.

Great beers, great staff, great location. Every beer I've tried here has been on point. They have darts and shuffleboard inside and plenty of tables to bring in hotdogs from Shortys next door, a burger from the Burger Spot, or anything else you're craving. Can't wait to spend more time here!

White Street is a favorite and popular establishment for many WaFo locals. Great beer and a great location make for an excellent hang out spot.

A great beer and bar vibe. If WF ever lets Outdoor / sidewalk drinking, man this would be amazing. But this is the WF standard for a beer focused experience. The music is never too loud which I like.

Great beer.., a lot of choices.. service was outstanding.. crowd was a little quite since my NY Ranger we're kicking the Carolina Hurricanes ass. Too bad.. would love to come here on a weekend.. seems like a fun place.

The local brewery in Wake Forest. The bar and sitting area is in the same big room with the brewery tanks, and it looks nice. They got a pretty good crowd on a Sunday afternoon. In addition to 3 TVs, they have darts and maybe some other bar games. As for the beer, they only have about 8-10 varieties on the chalkboard. I had the tasting flight and tried their four year-around varieties. They tasted alright, nothing that was really distinctive, but none of them are bad either. The price for a tasting flight of four is a little lower than some of the other breweries in the Triangle, so that's a plus.

I enjoy craft beer so while visiting friends that live in Wake Forest, WSB was an easy choice. Located right in town, it's an interesting old building converted into a brewery. The place was clean and neat. Beer was fresh (I would sure hope so) too. Restroom modern and clean. The staff wasn't particularly friendly but not rude either. Ambiance is great. Nice place to meet friends and there was a food truck outside. They had I would guess, 8 of their beers on tap. It was pretty diverse but I wasn't bowled over by the two I tried. Good but standard stuff.

I may be partial but this place is a little slice of heaven. Every beer we've tried here has been super! They gave a beer from every single category which is hard to come By. Each beer is full and flavorful. Bartenders are always welcoming and knowledgeable. We love White Street Brewing!

A very laid back atmosphere in the quaint town of Wake Forest. Friendly bartender will let you taste if you're not quite sure what you want. They have IPA, Scottish ale and Belgian pale ale on tap. No food service but you can order pizza from pizza amore and they will deliver. I believe they also have food trucks on occasion. Great place to chill with a nice cold one and socialize with the locals.

Super nice people in a great location, great atmosphere great beer and always great food via food truck or the places within a short walk.

This bar has the Best view out to downtown wake forest. It's so fun to sit and people watch. I like the Klosch and Hoptimist They typically rotate some other formulas from time to time. Note Shortys a wake forests historic hot dogs place is right next door. A pizza shop that is close buy will bring you a pizza to the bar which is fantastic. Burger shop is also a short walk away. Get your drive home arrangements made and hit White Street! It will be sure to put you in a better mode!

Beer gets 4 Stars but taproom gets 2 Stars. Popped in with friends to wind down a great Saturday evening once again at White Street. I opted out of a draft beer for a glass of wine instead this time. Shame on me, I guess. When I was served almost 3oz and expected not to speak up, I asked the bar tender about it. He pretty much said "Lady, we don't fill it all the way up". Thanks kiddo, since you think I can't spot the difference between a 2oz sample and a typical 5 oz pour, I'll be sure to drink and tip elsewhere from now on. I will say that their beer is good, and I'll be glad to purchase their product elsewhere. But the taproom often lacks the friendly environment we look for in a Southern taproom. Too many other friendly spots to patronize in this city to continue to waste my time here.

Loved stopping here on a hot Saturday afternoon on a trip to Wake Forest. The folks working were so friendly and matched us up to the perfect beers. Fun games and nice clean place.

My favorite brewery in the Triangle for sure. Along with Shortys (best hot dog joint around) next door, this is a must-stop for me any time I am in Wake Forest. Their Scottish is one of my favorite beers and they do a good job of keeping their main beers and then switching it up with a few seasonals. Whoever draws up their chalkboard beer menu is a pro. I'm tempted to try beer types I typically don't like because of the cool art. The exterior and interior both have a really finished, classy look. Everyone in there always seems super laid back and easy going. They also have a few TVs, including one that has to be over 70 inches so it turns out it is a pretty good spot to watch games too. Cheers!!

If you're going to be in Wake Forest and are looking for a great locally craft beer this is with the stop!! For only having carry-in food, it still ranks high on my list for casually hanging out with friends/family and overall people watching! The beer is locally made and for being from Wisconsin I can safely say it was really good!

Such a fun place! I was in town visiting a friend and we made a stop at White Street in Downtown Wake Forest and I was not disappointed! I typically like lighter beers and the bartender was helpful in helping my choose for my flight. The Kolsch was awesome! Great atmosphere in here. This is a great place for beer lovers, but also for people who are not sure what kinds they like.

Simply one of the best NC Breweries period and in the cool little town of Wake Forest. Their three mainstays, Kolsch, Hoptimist, and Scottish are just really solid, good, tasty beers. Their variations from these include a Belgian blonde, aptly named Emmalynn, and other IPA and lager variations. This place is worth a trip to Wake Forest where you can check out down town, eat at rotating food trucks often parked out front on weekends, or come to First Friday for a good old fashioned street scene where the town shuts down Main St for music, food and family fun. One of the reasons I love Wake Forest!

This is by far the coolest brewery I've been to in a long time. White Street Brewing Company was hosting a BBQ event (which was awesome btw) which was hosted on White Street. The voting portion was in the brewery itself, which was cool because the building was amazing. It was an open concept even in the brewing areas. It was separated by a short wall. Tons of exposed bricks and high ceiling. The overall, its a very welcoming and warm building. Everyone buzzed and smiling. I would drive back for the event and the brewery. I'm not sure what there is to do in Wake Forest, but man was this place neat.

This place is AMAZING!! Hands down the best brewery in Wake County. Tried my first ever Scottish Ale and it was absolutely delicious. The Tun of Bricks Wee Heavy Parti-Gyle was also an incredibly refreshing ale that packs a punch on the alcohol content, but it is so smooth you'll never know it! No food at this establishment, but the bartenders are quick to point out that resultantly, the nearby local restaurants benefit. They're totally cool with you ordering a pizza or food and eating it in the brewery. After three years of living in Raleigh, I think we finally found the crown jewel. I enjoyed the beer so much on Friday evening that I asked my husband to take me back on Sunday. And I can't wait to go again!! I guess there goes all my expendable income for the foreseeable future!!!

Stopped in for the first time this weekend, finally experiencing the best thing to hit Wake Forest in the 8 years that I have lived here. First off, the place is gorgeous. It is in the old Classic Cars building so there is A LOT of room. The brewing takes place all in the same wide open facility so you can see everything as it is going on which was neat to see for someone like me who has no clue as to how beer is made. There is lots of open space with a giant TV that everyone can see. It is more like a theater screen. There are two TVs, one on each side of the bar which listed the beer choices and information scrolling about each beer. They do not serve food but we were told that anytime we want to bring food in from other downtown restaurants, we are welcomed to do so. What a great thing for the downtown restaurants like Frankie C's that deliver! You can call them, order some grub and have them walk over next door to deliver it. Great way of keeping business downtown, which I love!! Also nice is that they stay open until midnight on the weekend and 10pm during the week. This is rare for WF but I hear is the trend for the renaissance plan for most businesses to stay open later as the downtown area is revitalized. What I loved: -The taste of the Classic White Street Pale Ale -The friendliness of the staff and the owner. They really seem grateful to be warmly welcomed into WF -The fact that there was a good crowd on a Saturday afternoon and new faces to downtown which told me that people are driving in from outside of the downtown area. This was impressive and is GREAT SIGN! -Growlers!!! Hubs and I grabbed a growler and will continue to go back (probably more than we would like to admit) to fill it to take home. It is a better deal to buy the growler if you are drinking beer inside as it ends up being about $2.50 per pint rather than the $5-6 but you have to plan on the fact that you are drinking at least 4 beers between you and your companion. That's not that difficult though. :) Note- there were no chairs but lots of bar space and tall tables. Apparently the chairs are on back order. It wasn't so bad on a Saturday afternoon hanging out but I would imagine being there to socialize with a group, especially wearing heels, it would be an issue. Hopefully the chairs will be in soon. Can't wait to go back and so stoked that it is walking distance to our house!

The small selection of beer offered here is really well done. Kolsch beer has more flavor than you normally find in this style of beer, crisp with some fruity undertones (excellent choice for a warm day ). Scottish ale has the right mix of sweet and bitter . I am not a fan of IPAs but Hoptimist is a pretty solid beer - really hoppy without stripping the enamel off your teeth. Non -year round beers were both good. Stanley's Milk Stout was a nice dark rich beer and the Coffee Porter has a nice dose of coffee flavor making your body confused on if it should be awake or go into a beer coma. The guest tap for the evening is a good saison but did not outshine any of the host's beers. White Street also offers wines for those of you that want to hang with beer buddies but not a fan of the brew.

You will often find me here several times a week, especially on Wednesday nights for trivia. White Street has a good selection of house beers; a kolsch, Scottish, IPA, and blonde. They also have a wide variety of really tasty seasonal beers. I'm especially fond of their Stouts. They used to have live music more often than they currently do, and I sort of miss those days. I get it that sometimes it may get a little loud in there, but I still miss being able to go and see some of my favorite local bands.

Great little brewery in Wake Forest. Tried a couple of their beers but the Hoptimist IPA was my favorite. They dont serve food here but our corporate host had a great caterer Shuckers come in and serve some wonderful dishes. I noticed that many customers ordered in pizza from the local pizza place. The service here was great and they were quick to bring a fresh beer, water or what ever we asked for. I wish I had a little more time to go over the beer list but I was talking to some friends I dont see often and met some new friends.

Great beer, great atmosphere, great service! We're from New England and visiting NC for a few weeks. This was the first brewery we visited, and we especially appreciated the server's patience, suggestions, and offered tastings, based on our preferences. My husband and I are not big IPA fans, but there are several other options. Our favorite so far? The Kölsch, of course!

Pretty sure I have to give these guys 5 stars just based on the fact that they brew my favorite beer. Seriously, I'm in love with the White Street Kolsch. Add to that its a great locale, a great environment (bar-like, but well lit with giant windows on the front, and noisy, but the good kind where the people 3 feet from you can't hear your conversation, but you can hear your own table easily), and the fact that there are killer food trucks right outside, and its a winning combination.

Tried the Kolsch at a bar in Raleigh and loved it. So 4 of us decided to make a trip out to Wake Forest to check this place out and get a keg for the Tikibar. It was absolutely positively worth the drive. Had a couple of flights and they were all good! Really liked the Reaper beer...but was told it was not a big seller and might not make it again. Dammit! It was really really good! But if there is one thing that can kill a place for an extroverted person like myself is a lack of atmosphere, and dull, unattentive folks behind the bar. But I am glad to say that White Street passed this test with flying colors. Cheers to you guys!

We had an awesome time here on our family visit to NC. Great beers. Nice selections. Love the location. Only downside - and it's probably the Vegas thing in me, don't want kids in a bar. So many kids the night we were there. Just my own personal preference, I think bars are for adults only. I'd go back if there were adult nights only. But not when there are kids, toddlers and even infants all over the place. Again, just my preference.

Located in the heart of downtown Wake Forest, this is probably one of the classiest breweries I have been to. High ceilings, varnished dark hardwood tables, shinny brewery equipment, nice bathrooms and a cozy intimate feeling. Their beer is fantastic; a good range of styles and of high quality. If you have had any of their beers from the grocery store, that should give you the impetus to make your way over to Wake Forest. It did not see a parking lot but convenient street parking was available.

White street is a cute brewery in downtown Wake Forest. They have a great beer selection with seasonal drafts. They don't serve food but allow you to bring in food from nearby restaurants or the occasional food truck. There were several kids in the brewery but the atmosphere seemed family friendly. I hear from friends that this is common.

On the main street in downtown Wake Forest. No food served here. Most beers are pretty good. Milk stout has a noticeable chocolate/coffee taste. My favourite is the Kolsch, quite refreshing.

Great local brewery with a wide variety of beers on tap. They also have a couple of wine selections. There were plenty of tables, a big screen and a few dart boards. I tried the sampler selection and would have to say the IPA was my favorite. Would come back again if I am in the area!

White Street is one of our regular haunts. They brew up some great brews, and I especially love the fact they have so many seasonal, rotating flavors. I've actually taken to keeping a note on my iPhone to remember all the many different varieties I've really enjoyed. I wish I could buy the seasonal varieties in the store, not just their 4 flagship brews. The atmosphere is fun, lively and very family friendly. They don't serve food so we often see families bringing their own food, which makes for a budget friendly nite out. We have enjoyed many of the food trucks that come by and we also live for Pizza Amore around the corner (they happily deliver to White Street). Trivia nite is especially fun - but get there early to grab a table - wish they had more tables!

My boyfriend and I decided to make the trek out to Wake Forest to visit White Street Brewing this past weekend. This place is located in downtown Wake Forest so I enjoyed walking around outside. I have had the Kolsch, Hoptimist and Scottish at bottle shops prior to visiting and love all 3 so I wanted to try something new. I was disappointed that they only had 2 choices, a Belgian Blond and the El Chupalagra, but I did enjoy them both! We played darts at one of the two dart boards they have and enjoyed a few beers.

Love this place. Awesome beer and excellent atmosphere. Always friendly servers. You can bring food in or order from the food trucks that stop by.

Finally I made it to Wake Forest to check out White Street Brewing Company. Ever since I had my first sip of White Street's Scottish ale I just knew I was in love. I've had their beer a zillion times but not actually at the brewery itself. I walked into a wide open space, with musicians jamming, growlers decorating the bar and friendly folks enjoying some ice cold beers. If you've never been before I highly suggest ordering one of their flights so you can try all the brews you will not be disappointed. The night I was there they had a wheat beer on tap OMG not only do I love wheat beers but what do they do to their beers to make them so darn good. It was a Friday night and this place was hoping with locals. People were playing shuffle board, chatting with their company, or listening to the awesome band playing (Avett Brothers type music). Not sure if they have live music every Friday night but I imagine they do. I'm kicking myself for not buying a couple growlers before I left since I don't make it out this way often. But the good news is White Street brews have been popping up all around town at local bars and restaurants, so I know it won't be long till I get another sip. Just to "tap" it all off - these folks are some of the friendliest I've ever met!

Happy to see another new brewery in the Triangle! Went to check it out for their grand opening and it was awesome to see so many people there to check out some new local beer. The brewery itself is gorgeous. Right on the main drag in Wake Forest, filled with exposed brick and wood from the historic building, plus open to the brew tanks and fermenters. Very cool, one of the best breweries for ambiance in the Triangle. And obviously, the beer is important too. I tried all 5 of their initial beers and the highlights were their Imperial Pale Ale and Black IPA. The Scottish was pretty good and their Kolsch and Pale Ale were very drinkable. I'll be curious to see if they come out with seasonals and experimentals too as they move forward. A good addition to the Triangle beer scene and worth a trip out to Wake Forest.

White Street serves many purposes and is a crucial addition to the Triangle and NC brewing market. They opened up a very tricky market there in Wake Forest and I know they had to cut through a lot of red tape to open up this place. I won't pretend to understand the business and political dynamic of Wake Forest, but I know it was tough for them the get this kicked off, but they have done it and done it well. The beer, one of my favorite in NC, is always diverse, seasonal but not typical, and can be found on tap all over the place. I prefer the Scottish, but since they have so many new brews coming out, it's hard to tell. The brewery itself is interesting and the set-up allows for a good amount of mingling. They also have darts, and bands playing from time to time. I know they also have food trucks showing up every once and awhile since they don't serve any food. I'm not sure if they will make it a brew pub in the future, but for now, it's perfect. I try to swing by here at least once a month.

I am really, truly ashamed that I live so close to here yet it's taken me so long to check out White Street Brewing Co.'s home base. Don't get me wrong, I've had their beer plenty of times, but somehow I had never managed to actually go to the brewery itself. I'm glad I finally got a chance to right this terrible wrong on my part! Some friends and I dropped in here on a rainy Sunday night recently, and found a warm, cozy atmosphere which...most importantly...featured lots of delicious beer. On the particular night I visited it was pretty dead, but there is a ton of space here and it could easily accommodate a bigger crowd. I really like the openness of their layout, and how all of the various brewing apparatuses are fully on display. But, most importantly, the beer here is great. I personally am a huge fan of the Kolsch and the Scottish, but I would highly recommend getting a flight and sampling all of their varieties. White Street ranks up there in my top five favorite local breweries, and you're really missing out if you don't pay them a visit. It may mean trekking out to Wake Forest, but it's worth it!

Great taproom and brewery in quaint downtown Wake Forest. The beer specials are handwritten on the chalk board and the bar and chairs are made of dark heavy wood. There are plenty of tables and TVs. The beer is fresh and there are great choices from Koelsch style to double IPAs. You can order food from outside (we ordered pizza from Cannizzaro's and ate in the taproom). There are also special collaboration events and the one today featured beers from Wicked Weed, Foothills, Fullsteam and Mother Earth.

We have stopped here multiple times since moving to Wake Forest. Each time the beer is great and the service is very friendly! We often come in with our toddler, and appreciate being able to bring in a little one. Even if kiddos are well behaved, some places don't always make us feel welcome. White Street is exceptional, and we have ALWAYS felt welcome at the brewery. They had some great live music going on last night, but regretfully I don't remember the band's name. I love craft beers and White Street is no exception.

I was supposed to meet up with a friend. This location is supposed to close at 10:00 PM on Sundays. My friend communicated the Bartender had closed the doors around 9:35. I understand staff wants to leave but if the place is open until ten, doors should not be close before that. Never got to meet up with my friend at this location and could not try their beers, just visiting from out of town.

Good beer and atmosphere. Only downfall is there is no outdoor seating. I hope that when the road construction outside the building is done they will have some spots to sit outside. If that is the case I would rate this brewery five stars!

Finally got to check out White Street Brewing last night with my husband and some friends. It was worth the 40 minute drive! It was very crowded on a Friday night, so we had to wait about 20 minutes for a table, but we did get beers from the bar which we enjoyed while we were waiting. I tried the Belgian Blonde and the Belgian Dubbel. I liked the Belgian Dubbel the most, but both were good solid beers. Others in the group got the IPA and said good things about it, as well as their seasonal stout. The bartenders were friendly even though they were busy all night. They had a band playing while we were there. I enjoyed the music, although it did make conversation a little difficult because they were so loud. They also allow you to bring in food, so we ordered pizza from a place down the street which went perfectly with the beer. They also had a food truck outside and we saw that they have just started up a Sunday brunch which sounds like a fun time to check out. The prices were around $4 or $5 a pint, pretty much right in line with most of our local breweries in the area. I wish White Street were a little closer to me, but either way, we will be back if we make it to Wake Forest again!
