The Whole Foods Chantilly Cake Saga Shows Complaining Works | Eater

"Known for its signature Berry Chantilly cake — a vanilla cake layered with berries and cream-cheese mascarpone frosting created in 2005 by Chaya Conrad while she worked in New Orleans — the chain turned the dessert into a cult favorite across the South (its spread accelerated after employees were displaced by Hurricane Katrina). After the company, now owned by Amazon, standardized its by-the-slice program it swapped fresh berries for a thick jam layer to ease freezing and shipping, prompting widespread customer outrage following a TikTok report. Facing clear backlash, the company reversed course and said the slices would return to their original form; critics framed the initial change as a cheapening of a beloved product in the name of uniformity and efficiency." - Jaya Saxena

Google
Typically, I love this store. It’s convenient to have in the neighborhood. What’s not convenient is the fact they will not take LA Wallet as an acceptable form of ID. With this being the STATES acceptable form of digital identification, it’s absolutely absurd for Whole Foods to not accept it.

Google
I love the Salad Bar and the Hot Bar...the selection is always good and the roasted chicken is the best at the price. The Ranch Dressing sucks though. It has for years..That's all I have to say about that.

Google
Ooooof pulled up into the parking lot, thinking i might be able to go in after having the manager kick me out, while holding a 2yr old without hearing my side, after 2 patrons verbally accosted me and I was verbally defending myself. Said he didn't care, and was trying to force me out the door before the two women who said they were going to beat me up in the parking lot left, and when I asked if I could I be escorted, the security guard came over and got in my face saying that it was time to leave 😅 while I'm holding a toddler. It's 3yrs later and i still can't go in this store. I hope management has improved.

Google
Clean, organized, they host regular sales, and have easy Amazon pay by palm self checkout. It always looks well taken care of. It’s a smaller store so sometimes the selection feels more limited than the larger counterparts in Uptown or Metairie, but still has the basics and more.

Google
I come here often and enjoy shopping here. It's always such a pleasant experience ☺️.. my daughter is in love with organic soap so I come here more frequently for her soaps. But overall, this particular store is one of my favorites 😍

Google
Whole Foods is a shopping experience EVERYTIME!!! This location is no different. Love to peruse the store for my intended shopping item & the unintended shopping item. I always manage to leave with something "new to me". Love the smell of fresh flowers as soon as you dawn the doors of this location. Ample ground level & rooftop parking. Always a pleasure to enter. Look forward to my next trip.

Google
Disappointing. The majority of the time the salad bar and hot bar seems sparse and lacks variety. Along with the sparseness of the salad bar and hot bar, this WF is usually out of eggs. Despite all these shortcomings, the butcher team is friendly and communicative.

Google
This is the first time I’ve given a Whole Foods four stars, even though I love the ambience of the small folk store. Prices of course, at Whole Foods are always high even for some of the same products you get elsewhere. I continue to go here because the choices in the area are limited skews me very limited. In Seattle, the choices were numerous. I was never forced to go into a Walmart until I came to the New Orleans area. But Whole Foods has changed over the last couple years and I’m not sure it’s for the better.

Yelp
Easy commute if you jump on the street car on Canal Street. It's only about a 10 or 15 minute ride from Bourbon and Canal. This location is a bit smaller than any of the other Whole Foods I visited. They are well stocked and the space is well lit. As far as service, I went through the self checkout and hadn't interacted with anyone while I was there.

Yelp
I visited NOLA on thanksgiving and needed a few snacks for my Airbnb. Very thankful they were open. This location is very small and seemed to carry necessities. Super minimal options not as large as a normal WF location. The front end employees were not friendly at all. If you are expecting a smile or even a hello this will not be where you find it. Thankfully the locals were kind and spreading joy on a holiday.

Yelp
its actually impressive how regularly this grocery store manages to be out of just what i need when i need it most! it is only ever pathetically stocked. not to mention the produce they sell goes rotten remarkably fast. thanks i hate it!

Yelp
Location is great. Its not the biggest store but it has all the essentials. The staff is friendly and store is clean.

Yelp
I shop at this store 3 sometimes 4 times a week. The product selection is excellent and the floor associates in most departments go out of their way to be helpful. This year alone I have spent over $2,000. The front end customer service on a regular basis is terrible. There are no enough humans working registers. If you buy alcohol at self-check you can not use LA Wallet (accept everywhere else I shop). When I have gone to a human check out I've been told that the basket does not go on the floor at the end of a register but stacked. Let me be clear, I DO NOT WORK for Whole Foods. Today, I chose 2 bouquets of flowers, right above the flowers was a sign indicating 50% off. When the cashier scanned them they came out at full price. I questioned this and an associate came over from floral checked and said I chose the wrong flowers. As I was leaving another floral associate confronted me and the two of them argued with me that I should have compared the sign to the tag on the flowers, which you can barely see. I spoke to the customer service person. I have managed upwards of 100 people in my career, I would not tolerate customer service such as this by any associate and would have removed them from the floor immediately. The store leadership here has a lot of work on customer service. I can go to Rouse's, Canseco's and Winn Dixie and have my groceries scanned and bagged.

Yelp
I love this location. It is convenient and is always clean. Most times, I receive good customer service.

Sam Cavallucci

Yelp
I called this morning at 10a to speak with the Meat Department to order a 5lb Beef Tenderloin. After a five minute wait to be connected I hung up and ordered at Metarie WF store....with prompt service. Never again thinking about Broad Street WF.

Dave S.

Yelp
A whole MESS. This place ain't what it's cracked up to be. The floors are dirty which is disappointing for a health food store. Customer service around checkout is horrible. When I asked to return an item from the night before that had expired, the woman just looked at my receipt and shrugged her shoulders in defeat. And when the computer wasn't working right, the staff refused to help a customer at the checkout to resolve their problem. This place won't be around long. Unless you're a glutton for punishment, don't shop here.
google avatar

Angie D.

Yelp
I live around the corner from Whole Foods so they are super convenient for me to get there. Sure I can't afford to do heavy shopping there but for certain things it's well worth it. Fruits, veggies, eggs, steaks and seafood in particular. I will buy other stuff in a pinch but you have to be very careful of the brands in regards to prices. There homebrand items are normally reasonable. Service is always fast even if there is a line at checkout. The store is clean and well organized. I'm happy they are so close to me.

Yelp
I love whole paycheck. They have everything you could ever want in health food and overall products. I will say that there are some well known supplements they do not carry, which I thought was odd but for the most part, they have a slew of various supplements for your healthcare needs. Now, as many times as I've been in this store (on Broad) and in Metairie or on Magazine, I've never seen watermelon juice. Consequently, I've never had watermelon juice in a jug ever, only via the traditional way of splitting an actual watermelon...this is so much more convenient so I'm sold. It's always a good idea to peruse all of the stores in the vicinity because you may be missing out on a special product in a particular store. For instance, I'm getting back to blending greens. Now, the only store that keeps the Tuscan kale in stock well is the store on Magazine. I'm not sure if the stores have sold out when I get there but I can never find it. I just love this kale because it's so dark, green and leafy. I have bought the curly kale before but the Tuscan blends better. Oh and there's the Red Russian kale, never had it lol. Anyway, I love this store and with my Amazon Prime membership, I get additional savings. Happy healthy shopping!

Yelp
After avoiding this store for years, an Amazon Prime return drop off brought me in. Definitely appreciate that convenience. I guess it works, because after dropping my return at the less-than-friendly "customer service" counter near the checkout area, I went ahead and grabbed an armload of impulse cheeses and bread. I shopped the entire store, which isn't very large, to capture some pics (see below). Fortunately, the staff members I encountered in the cheese and meat departments, as well as checkout, were much more helpful and pleasant than the young lady at the customer service counter. I'd return for produce, bakery, cheese and meats (and possibly an Amazon return), but after looking at the self-serve hot deli, there's no way I'd touch that. It looks right down disgusting. The rest of the store was reasonably clean and easy to shop, but it's no Rouse's. Off duty NOPD officer in the lobby keeping us safe.

Yelp
We absolutely were low on fresh eats while staying in the 'Quarter in our hotel. Thank graciousness we found a Whole Foods!! We found this store at a convenience due to the stores where we were staying had some limited options. Friendly folks that work here. Things were easy to find, like most of these easy arranged stores. Been to several while traveling. Store was kept clean and food items stocked. We'll definitely be back. Until then, keep up the great work NOLA!!

Leah B.

Yelp
Does corporate know this store exists? Because surely it would be shut down. Hot food offerings are minimal and overcooked. Merchandise offerings are beyond lacking. The words Dirty and grungy come to mind when describing appearance. Yeesh.

Yelp
arrived 830am Saturday did my shopping arrived to check out and noticed that the person at the cashier was finishing. after saying 'good morning',i placed my previously purchased whole foods branded cold bag on the conveyor. i then started loading the frozen and refrigerated purchases on the conveyor and noticed the scowl and stare at the bag from the cashier. she eventually tossed the bag to the end of the conveyor and started scanning. the purchases, tossed to her right, the second conveyor continuing to pile them. i scan my palm and proceed to start bagging. the manager arrives to do a cash swap, as i ask the cashier to stop the conveyor. load my cold goods, open a paper bag and fill it with the rest while cash swap continues. then ask for my receipt. i pay a premium for the best food to put in my body, yet i have to deal with a self entitled cashier who is above bagging groceries and a manager that interrupts a customer transaction. i should have just gone to self check out and not have to deal with such negativity. i will certainly make time to go to the veterans blvd store instead of the one a mile away. better stock on the shelves

Yelp
Has anyone had the experience of being greeted with a ton of trash as you walk on the side of the building You can barely see the grass. It is disgusting!! We have enough issues in this area without the help of Whole Foods contributing to the filth The dollar general across the street has cleaner grounds Please do better for this area

Yelp
Kyra (my cashier) is a very sweet and thoughtful young woman. This Whole Foods is a bit over-full and I was riding around in the electric wheelchair because of the blood clot in my leg (and the pain!). I had a hardline turning down the tomato aisle and it was bad. However they have everything. The lady in the deli section (meats & cheeses) was really nice and I forgot to get her name. But this was 7/23 about 6:30 pm) and she was so nice. All in all a great shopping experience.
google avatar

Jeeth Boba F.

Yelp
I've been here three times. First two times were fine. This time was unpleasant. As I was walking through the produce aisle, I saw a staff member who was stocking the fruit, turn and sneeze into her elbow. Unfortunately the area she turned to was right over the peaches. Dear lawd why?!?! Not sure if an elbow crux can handle the full blow of a sneeze. I turned around and walked out the door. Gross.
google avatar

Vanessa S.

Yelp
This store is disgusting. Particularly the soup station, doors anyone ever actually wipe up that area? Plus, there's six soup tureens set up but three of the six aren't ever used. The remaining three, no matter what time of the day one visits, only contain dregs, like if you scrape the bottom of the tureen you may get a tbsp of soup. The workers don't care, they seem ignorant of how a food store is supposed to be run. I've hit up Whole Foods locations all around this country and have never seen one as ghetto as this.

Yelp
Warning to NOLA residents: Hipster Alert for shoppers and staff. (Think the Austin, Texas lens.) That being said, know the lingo and the lens. You have LEFT NOLA while here. Yet, it was a delightful surprise and on Christmas Eve, even. Lots of fresh food, packed yummies and specials to temp you to employ your Amazon Prime code / scan which is available on the Whole Foods App ie Amazon App, via the App Store. Tip: Do this before checking out with the cashier. We saved $10. This location is as advertised via fellow yelpers in that it has rough edges in customers, staff and cramped aisles. Go anyway! Parking in lot is free. Yay! For NOLA, what was a nice and pleasant surprise! Something complimentary just because and that's super sweet.
google avatar

Lisa L.

Yelp
No problems here. Large selection of fresh cut fruit and vegetables. Staff was nice and got thru the line very fast.
google avatar

Cynthia C.

Yelp
I enjoy this Whole Foods as it is large enough to hold a lot but small enough to easily buzz in and out. They have great flowers and seasonal items like pumpkins at the entrance. I like the variety of specialty veggies such as pre spiralized veggies at the entrance of the produce section. A modest but thorough selection of produce that gets turned over constantly, ensuring fresh and in season options. There is an ample cheese section, wine isle and cookie bar for the evil side of life. The salad and hot food bar s quite good here and this is a very popular lunch spot with rows of picnic tables outside to gather and eat at the store. The only downside is that this store can get quite busy with a wait to checkout. They are pretty efficient, however, and do have an express line.

Kim D.

Yelp
This place is going downhill real fast!!! The staff is so unprofessional!!! The pizza is NEVER ready on time!!! Whole Foods you need to re-examine your work ethic!!!!
google avatar

Jen B.

Yelp
After having to ride WAY out to Metairie, or WAY Uptown for so many years, I, for one, am VERY glad to have this little, super convenient Whole Foods in Mid-City. As someone who eats pretty clean and cooks at home most of the time, this location has everything on my shopping list, fresh produce, UN-questionable meats, cheap organic almond milk, a decent selection of gluten-free staples, a nice selection of dark chocolates. As with most WFMs, they have a great selection at the cheese counter, the wine shelves, and the beer cooler and always have some samples out for your enjoyment. Sure this is a smaller store than the other locations, but it is SO MUCH easier to get in and out than the others, too. Easier parking, short lines at the check out, more time to enjoy your delicious purchases.
google avatar

Jey R.

Yelp
Broad St location can be a little frustrating at times. They don't have as much on the shelves as other locations due to space. However, it's very close to my house so I continue to go anyway. Everyone is always very friendly and helpful. They all know the store amazingly well. There is also an Amazon locker in this location so if you're worried about having packages delivered to your home that's an awesome option. They've been having a Farmer's market type situation weekly. This store is very unique.
google avatar

Brett P.

Yelp
I frequently stop at this Whole Foods for a quick bite to eat during lunchtime. Every time I go they have a great selection of fresh foods to choose from. I will say that the selection is not as good as the Whole Foods in Metairie, but it suffices for me. I personally love the sushi, which is always stocked and the raw fish is always fresh. The store is always clean and inviting, and the service is fast as well. I've never had to wait long to check out, as there is always an adequate amount of workers and an express checkout for people like me just going in for lunch.
google avatar

Catol T.

Yelp
I love whole food but watch out for stale bakery items! I have been disappointed also with bakery department on the whole. Not much variety. They seem to have cut back. Bummer.
google avatar

Samantha D.

Yelp
Hit or miss. It has what you need here, generally. There are lots of fresh fruits and produce which is a good start. It definitely helps the neighborhood having this selection. Also, the main aisles are filled with every staple you could need. However, the salad and soups section by the front of the store are half empty and sometimes just messy. The fridge section is also half empty sometimes, or out of the items you thought they would have stocked up. The self check out is useful.
google avatar

Teneha B.

Yelp
I'm liking it. I'm liking it. No, I'm loving it!!!!! Finally, I don't have to travel to Metairie or the #UPT to get my WholeFoodness on. On this day, the grand opening it was pizzity-packed. Barely room to move about or squeeze melons; #myguiltypleasure. But no matter, because I enjoyed every minute of it. To me it signifies GROWTH... DEVELOPMENT... THE FUTURE of MY CITY!!!! The general feel of the store is comfy, modern, trendy & inviting. Pursuing & sashaying I took in the WHOLENESS of #WholeFoodStore (pun intended)... I am pleased & I'm not a shopper. I was able to maneuver, find what I needed & leave before I added more knickknacks. Express check out was slower than the regular check out; choose wisely. Upstairs overflow parking. Elevator & stairs for access to rooftop parking. And might I add the view there is magnifique!!!!

Yelp
After some adventurous eating for a week plus, we felt ourselves wanting something familiar. Being from Boulder, Colorado, Whole Foods is our jam with 4 locations near us. We read the pizza reviews for this particular location and decided to give it a try. The pizza and the service was A+. When we told the pizza guys, we wanted a whole pepperoni pizza to go, they offered to give us the one already in the oven. Then, they let us know we could eat on the outdoor patio and could find napkins by the door. Truly an amazing pizza with lots of cheese and high quality sauce. We really enjoyed! I forgot to take photos but you know what a delicious pizza looks like!
google avatar

John B.

Yelp
This might be the smallest WF I've ever been to. It is a decent location close to the city, but I was rather disappointed at how limited its stock was. Other than that, it's the standard selection of hoity toity food items, some of which I like and which suit my needs and are sometimes worth getting on sale. The same building holds a nonprofit cafe and a "Center for Culinary Medicine", both of which struck me as possibly worth checking out...
google avatar

Alan S.

Yelp
We came here in search of fresh fish and a few other necessities for our stay here in Nola. We managed to pick up all sorts of lovely things and my only regret is we didn't come by here days ago. They had a limited supply of liquor but better prices than we have seen around and already paid. We will be back you all.
google avatar

Darren K.

Yelp
Small location with a very noticeable armed guard at the front. Glad she is there to keep things safe. Definitely small footprint with less items than other Whole Foods Markets but you can get all the basics and more there. Tried to make use of any Amazon Prime discounts. Signage can be improved in the interior to highlight the fast checkout lanes.
google avatar

Chris R.

Yelp
This store's service is getting worse and worse! How nice to be in the express line listening to 2 employees that are in-front of me (in line with aprons on) complain about prices and how its cheaper to go to Walmart. Then have a conversation and "visit" with the cashier; Nothing being rung up!! This nice little "visit" ended up being almost three minutes. I know because I timed it on the phone!! and ooooh noooo---DO NOT INTERRUPT THEM WHILE THEY ARE LAUGHING---then you're met with a look like you are an a*~hole. Going to this store is like GOING to Walmart!!! Oh and STALE COOKIES-black and white cookies were hard as a rock!! Had to throw them away!! Might as well go to Rouses where I'll receive better customer service and fresh baked goods.
google avatar

Jeremy T.

Yelp
New to New Orleans and glad there's a Whole Foods, but man - slowest-moving lines I've ever experienced at a grocery store. Ever. Really bad.
google avatar

Janet E.

Yelp
We needed to pick up some andouille sausages that Whole Food has at other locations. Thankfully this location did not fail us because they also carried it. The location also sold lemongrass rice noodle soup and also pizza. I picked up these items too, took them to our hotel, and was surprised at how delicious they were. Yum! We also picked up some dark root beer which was also very tasty. This location is very easily accessible via the red line street car at the Broad stop. The Whole Foods is two blocks from the Broad street car stop. Despite yelp reviewers complaining about the service at check out, we had no problem. The line went very quickly in the express lane.
google avatar

Pacience S.

Yelp
Dirty, long lines and often rude employees definitely not my favorite Whole Foods. I really find this location to be hit or miss but when it's a miss it's a huge miss often the hot bar and the salad bar area are complete disaster areas with flies and food everywhere. Often the staff doesn't seem to be very well-trained and they definitely don't offer the level of customer service that you expect with Whole Foods and as you can tell by the photo woefully understaffed with huge lines.
google avatar

Gloria M.

Yelp
Listen, let's be honest with one another, let us not wax poetically for Whole Foods is the Disneyland of grocery stores. You're acutely aware driving to Whole Foods--with grocery list on hand--that it won't be a frugal experience wrapped and bowed in unicorns, candy cane and lollipop dreams. Nay. But their produce and offerings are always held to a higher standard. This particular Whole Foods is blessed with a spacious parking lot which in itself is a godsend in New Orleans. Can I get and Amen!? The aisles are well stocked with tried and true kitchen staples and new intrigues to spice up the relationship with your inner chef. Staff are polite and professional. Check out is a breeze. So I say to you, let us be (or pretend to be) high rollers and mingle and describe our experience with a hint of oak and organic vanilla.
google avatar

Heather W.

Yelp
I bought a $15 bouquet of flowers. It looked great, but I opened it up and the flowers fell apart. The greens were rotten, the lilies were brown, and there was a freaking trimming from a rose branch without the rose. Just a branch and some crappy leaves. So thanks for that great value!!!! Last time I shop here. I should have known better.
google avatar

Marc M.

Yelp
Awesome Whole Foods !!! Very Convient 3 Blocks from my Apt. , the Food is Amazing to just get a Great Amount of Food!!! Little Pricey but Don't Care as long as it is Yummy!!! Very Friendly Staff to Help & Very Clean Store!!!

Yelp
A Whole Foods in Mid-City?! Pinch me. Nope, not dreaming! And they have a decent, large parking lot (with more rooftop parking). And I don't have to put aside 2 hours of my day to go shopping (more if I have the audacity to be driving when school lets out or rush hour begins). I'm a fan. True, this Whole Foods is rather lacking when it comes to the selection than the Uptown (and especially) Metairie locations boast, but what I do appreciate outweighs this. Seriously. Uptown was my location of choice for the past 2+ years. But! In Mid-City, the clientele is oh-so-much more tolerable. For instance, I don't get into almost-fights in the parking lot like I do Uptown. I mean, people don't have a blatant disregard for WF staff and customers by leaving carts wherever the hell they feel like it and often in the rare available parking spots b/c they can't be bothered to walk them back to where they belong. There were almost-fights, too, b/c it seems whenever anyone drives into this sorry parking lot, they immediately get transformed into entitled jerks. Less SUVs hogging up two spots, too. Imagine that! I may never shop Uptown again. Saves me from my weekly dose of barely controllable rage. But, please please pretty please improve that sorry coffee section.

TeamTuesday G.

Yelp
I'm giving 3 stars because they didn't have a lot of what I was looking for. I'm not sure if it's because of the time of the year or what. The salad bar was clean though. The bbq bar was kinda skimpy. The fruit options were slim. I purchased some sushi and a two goodies from the bakery.
google avatar

Freda M.

Yelp
I love whole food, this was my first time going there. I called ahead about a vegan cake, spoke with a pleasant young lady named Yaya. She was very knowledgeable of her area( bakery) and very informative not to mention very patient and professional. When I arrived I was not able to purchase my cake because it had to be ordered 48 hrs prior to the event , but Yaya made sure I left whole food with a nice spread of Vegan treats for my daughter's birthday party. Thank you so much Yaya for making my daughter's special day a success.

Yelp
I doubt that this will be by goto Whole Foods anytime soon, but it's great for a quick run in. I can usually find what I need and I'm out. It does seem to be focusing on prepared foods more than actual groceries...then again it isn't a huge store. I will say the fruits & vegetable section looks gorgeous! And they do have a good selection of cheeses. I liked the two version checkout process, one for express and one for a full cart of grocieres, although it confused folks in front of me. The staff has been very pleasant and the store is really clean. As always the parking lot seems to confuse the patrons.
google avatar

Keshante A.

Yelp
I only ran in here to grab a King cake. I heard the berry chanting flavor was good, but I chose the cream cheese flavor. A small cake was about $16. The store seemed very clean, friendly staff. But when I got home, there was no cream cheese inside! Kind of a bummer. Wasn't a big fan of the icing either. I don't usually shop at whole foods, but if in the area, I may stop by again.
google avatar

Roxanne I.

Yelp
I love this store. It may not be as big as some locations but it definitely has its perks. The hot bar always has a variety of foods. The staff are friendly and they now have an amazon locker for amazon purchase pick ups! There is security on premise the entire time the store is open which I like. There is also a coffee shop and restaurant attached. Great for a quick trip to the grocery.
google avatar

Sarah B.

Yelp
By far THE WORST WHOLE FOODS IN NEW ORLEANS poor costumer service, never has anything and the hot food bar is a complete MESS. Next time Ill just drive to Magazine or Metairie but never goinf back there again JUST GROSS!!!
google avatar

Morgan F.

Yelp
I initially had mixed vibes on this location, but it hasn't let me down the last few times! I would say I do find it hard to find everything I need in a Whole Foods, but I definitely find new products and items that I want that I can seemingly only find at Whole Foods! Their staff at this location is also incredibly pleasant. I often find my favorite flowers, peonies, here to brighten my entryway and ever since my Tulsa counterpart turned me on to the green juices Whole Foods carries, I tend to grab one from here. Their folks in the cheese department and occasionally the beer department are always very nice and helpful. Last time I was in here we were picking up beers for bayou kayaking and were turned on to El Gose from Avery Brewing (up in Colorado) that's a German-style Sour Ale with Lime and Sea Salt Added. If you know me I usually go cheap Mexican beer and tow along cut limes and a bag of salt (yes, I'm that person), so this beer was an excellent choice for floating the bayou! I've never had to wait long in checkout since they always have multiple lanes open, and parking is never a problem. Like I said, I might not be buying all my groceries here, but will definitely make a stop for these things that I love to pick up from Whole Foods!

Yelp
Ok I'm really torn on how to review this Whole Foods bc on the one hand I am SO darned happy as a Mid-City resident to have a Whole Foods nearby that I can practically jump for joy! On the other hand it is significantly smaller than the other Whole Foods and their prepared food section is not as large which kind of kills me bc that's why I go to Whole Foods. I went on a random evening to try and find something to eat for dinner. And to be fair they were stocking up the prepared food section and the lady was really nice and searched for the mock chicken salad for me (I'm totally a carnivore but my bestie totally got me hooked on the mock chicken salad which for some reason is better than the regular chicken salad, go figure?) but to no avail. :( There is tons of parking and even rooftop parking which I didn't explore. And there was also recycling stations which I totally love! Woohoo!! Plus they are opening a Liberty Kitchen which makes my heart smile (see my review of Liberty Kitchen). One thing I was fascinated with is the bulk spices which I don't really cook but I will pass the word on to my foodie friends. Another disappointment was I was trying to find the little pad replacement things for my oil diffuser and eucalyptus oil (great when you're stuffy) but alas they don't carry it in the small store. So I basically walked out with a bottle of wine which they always have great prices on and a slice of my favorite cake-Berry Chantilly. So If you want to get on my good side then get me a some mock chicken salad, Berry Chantilly cake and a nice Pinot Grigio and some pretty flowers and you'll leave quite the impression on me! Hehe Happy food shopping!
