Whole Foods Kills Its ‘Cheaper’ 365 Grocery Stores | Eater

"Introduced in 2016 as a smaller, value-focused grocery format aimed at more cost-conscious shoppers, this concept debuted in Silver Lake and was marketed as a curated, convenience-oriented alternative that still upheld the parent chain's quality standards. After the parent company was acquired by Amazon in 2017 and implemented price cuts and Prime-member discounts across its regular stores, expansion plans for the cheaper-format outlets stalled; only nine locations ultimately opened, with the newest additions in the Atlanta area debuting late last year. Leadership halted plans for new openings earlier this year and has since decided to convert all remaining outlets back into the standard full-format stores by year-end." - Erin DeJesus

Got into town late and went here for dinner. The hot plates were just being cleaned out so we had to revert to the refrigerator section. The Mediterranean tortellini was dry and flavorless. The hummus plate, salad and tin fish were great. I’m still working on that guacamole 😅

Google
Seems like a very slack store when it comes to salad and hot bar. Sometimes there is food by 11, and sometimes they might have it ready by 11:15, so to be safe come around 1130 and everything should be stocked. M8ght need to adjust to 1145, waiting for food at 1130. Not really fun spending your short lunch break waiting for them to put food out and don't have time to go elsewhere. Waited over 30 min- had to settle for whatever they had. Hope the kitchen gets their shit together, im here almost every day, usually in and out in less than 15 min. Today I'll be here for over 45 min just to try and eat lunch.

Google
The hot bar food is usually good but I have to rate my experience only a 3 star due to my visit on June 8, 2025, in which the security officer was guarding the food and watching me the whole time as I fixed my plate, which is so ridiculous. To that end, I don’t feel comfortable getting food from there again.

To say my experience with the Whole Foods Market butcher (he had a puffy ponytail and was responsible for lamb chops) today was disappointing would be a monumental understatement. It was, frankly, infuriating. I specifically requested a *fresh* rack of lamb since there was a single rack and two scraps left when I got there. He asked me how many I wanted. I let him know that I wasn’t sure since I needed to see what was available in the back before determining if I wanted anything. There seemed to be some type of comprehension gap. He pushed back that without knowing how many I wanted he wouldn’t bring any out. I pointed to the single rack left and said well how about that one. He stated some number that ultimately didn’t matter because I needed to see what was available to determine what/if I wanted anything. I then asked again if there were any in the back. He walked to the back with an attitude and returned with 4 rock-solid, *frozen* slabs clutched in his hands. Not a platter, but suspended in the air with his hands. His response was a dismissive shrug. The entire experience was kind of strange to say the least, it is literally your job to present the food and if you don’t want to do that, why are you here? It speaks volumes about the lack of care and utter disregard for customers. It was clear to me that he seemed pretty unhappy to be working here and it honestly just made me uncomfortable and my daughter too which is not how we planned to spend our Mother’s Day. Instead of offering to check the back, or perhaps even *gasp* suggest they might have a fresh cut coming soon, this individual seemed content to foist his frozen inventory upon me. It felt lazy, unprofessional, and frankly, insulting. I went to Whole Foods expecting a higher standard since most of us pay a premium to shop here for an elevated experience, particularly at the butcher counter. Clearly, I was mistaken. Thanks to this utterly unhelpful and frankly, obstructive butcher, my dinner plans were significantly compromised. I will think long and hard before entrusting my culinary needs to this particular Whole Foods again. If this experience is all they're willing to offer, they've lost a customer and I’ll be patronizing Sprouts next time. Absolutely unacceptable.

Google
Generally decent experience as it should be for a Whole Foods. But a recent visit two issues from same cashier came up. First I had a manufacturer coupon that I wanted to ask her whether I could use. Without even me finishing my question, she stopped me and asked a coworker for help. I hope it’s because she’s news/doesn’t know how to handle complex transactions but that attitude was horrifying. Second, I bought Navel Orange and Depokon orange. One cost significantly higher than the other. I don’t know how but she just ring them as the same product, even though it should be a very easy thing to for the system to identify which is which. I’m glad I checked my receipt (for like the first time…) and got $6 back. Better training and more caring team members go a long way.

Google
The store has many great selections. It’s located right off of Roswell Road and 285. Plenty of seating to have lunch. They offer a hot bar salad, fresh bakery, gourmet coffee and any enormous drink selection from the cooler. Great customer service. Fabulous location. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️👏🏽🐺

Google
My favorite Whole Foods Market … fresh vegetables , they have fruits fresh , flowers. The hot bar has great foods to choose from also and cakes galore plus pastries. Staff is helpful and nice. It’s very clean and in a convenient location.

Yelp
While shopping for dinner, I realized they were out of rotisserie chicken, which I needed for my recipe. I asked a young cashier - Liam, if he knew if any additional supply. He only replied that he didn't know, iow offering ZERO assistance. Though he was lacking service, I expect Mgmt to have all of their staff - new or not - trained in service excellence, taking pride while enriching the customer relationship. I expect nothing less from this Brand, especially considering the premium prices. However, Phil, a different team member SAVED THE DAY!! I had a intuition that there were more Rotisserie chicken available "somewhere". He pointed me in the right direction, saving me time and more effort. Why? Simply because Phil understands the "assignment", and THAT is why I'm a consistent customer!! Thank you Phil :)

Yelp
Yet another frustrating experience at the Whole Foods in Sandy Springs. I stopped by the bakery this morning around 11 AM to grab one croissant, only to be told they only come in pre-packaged sets of six. Seriously? I don't need six croissants--I just wanted one! This store is already subpar, from the meat department to the bakery, but I shop here because it's the only Whole Foods in my neighborhood. Unfortunately, their lack of flexibility and poor customer service make it even worse. For a store that prides itself on fresh, high-quality food, it's ridiculous that they won't sell a single baked item individually. At this point, I'm this close to driving all the way to Sprouts instead.
google avatar

Yelp
Extremely rude employees and customer service. I asked three different employees where to find an item and they all just waved in the right direction. I never found what I was looking for.
google avatar

Yelp
Came to get a quick bite at the cake by the pound Easley is good option when you're in a hurry. Although they selections change, they do not have the fried catfish or fried fish at all! Which is one of my favorite they do, however have the sweet potato tater tots and the fried tofu so I settled for that! It's too bad they can't have staples like fried fish, which is one of the things they do best!

Yelp
So I like this whole foods market. It's clean, it's well stocked, and it has a lot of people around who can help you if you need some customer service or guidance. I go for the large dinners and they have more in stock than they do at the one that I live closer to. So I would have no problem going the extra several miles. It's very well organized, and everybody seemed friendly. I have no complaints.

Yelp
Great fresh produce but I'm finding lately that not everything is in stock. I usually order and pick up. I regularly get messages for substitutions or completely out of stock. The staff are nicest usually although I recently had the rudest customer service person in the Burbank location.

Yelp
Really excellent shopping experience. All the employees are helpful and knowledgeable, and they offer good advice on products. Everyone is friendly and welcoming, and the selection of foods is unmatched. The organic produce and locally sourced meats and seafood allow you to feel confident with the food you eat. The salad bar is great and the hot bar looked good, too. The store is bright, open and airy and shopping here is so positive.

Yelp
Easy eating; good selection of variety of items that you can take home or enjoy at indoor or outdoor table.

Yelp
This Whole Foods Market anchors a large shopping center known as Hammond Exchange at the corner of Roswell Road and Hammond Drive in Sandy Springs. It appears that this location has seen an upgrade and refresh in the past year, as everything from the signage, building exterior, layout and fresh food offerings are all new! Parking is never an issue here, as given the size of the complex...the lot is massive. However, it is a busy lot, so be careful, especially entry and exit! As mentioned, this WFM has a fresh layout that features some really exciting spaces. I have always loved the produce/veggie section and of course, the hot food bar. This location has both of those, but also features a pizza bar, a case of delish self serve desserts, sushi bar, separate artisan cheese bar along with a fantastic little coffee bar! Of course they still have the butcher and seafood areas along with the salad, olive and soup bar, and the pre-made cooler case filled with all things from quiches to sandwiches. Outside of the specialty food spaces, they also have a portion of the front of the store designated for Amazon stocking and returns/pick ups. This area is located in front of the coffee shop. One thing I did notice at this location is since Amazon took a portion of the front, you don't get the full café feel you do at other locations, or older locations. They do have a few booths near the registers and a really great outdoor seating area though! The store was clean, well stocked and in excellent condition. While I just wondered around for a bit, I was not greeted on the sales floor at any point. I passed by and shared aisles with several staff members, but maybe I just looked like I knew what I was after and where I could find it. Overall, I do not go to Whole Foods nearly enough...mainly because there isn't one super convenient to me, but honestly going out of the way on a special trip is totally worth it...even if just for the hot bar!

Yelp
Whole Foods Market has always been a wonderful market to shop in because of their natural organic products. This particular location in Atlanta is a great location because it has a great selection of produce and a salad bar. There is even an Amazon locker in the store where you can pick up Amazon packages. The market has a great deli counter and meat department where everything is fresh and wonderful, and you definitely get your money's worth. The service is always excellent at Whole Foods because the staff are very professional and very knowledgeable on the products and what you are looking for when you come into the store. The ambiance is wonderful and everything is well organized in the store by products, so you should be able to find what you are looking for with no problems. Yes, the products are more expensive than other supermarkets, but they are of high quality and they taste great. You are paying for a great product, and it will not disappoint you, so it is worth shopping at Whole Foods Market.

Yelp
I'm a pizza fanatic and if you ever had their slices you know it's great pizza! Best kept secret is ordering a whole pie on the Whole Foods app and get it custom I had a pepperoni & black olives pizza but on the Ancient Whole Grains crust & had the basil pesto base sauce It was

Yelp
I really like this location! I am sure overall it is pretty similar to most locations, but so far I have had nothing but great experiences. The staff is very nice, there is plenty of parking out front and the store is very clean! Nothing in particular to say besides that. I think most people agree that Whole Foods in general is a pleasant store haha. Of course it is cheaper to get groceries at Walmart, but I do get a few things from Whole Foods. I would say getting canned goods, standard pasta, rice, etc. is all great to get at Walmart/Kroger, but Whole Foods is the winner when it comes to specialty things. I generally get produce from Trader Joes since it is budget-friendly and good, but Whole Foods has the largest selection! I can't always find certain things at other grocery stores, so I will come here for my green onions, bok choy, mini bananas, etc. I will also say that their cheese selection is amazing. I always come here for parmesan. It is pretty expensive. A maybe 4in X 2in x 1in block is easily 9-11$ and yes you could go get a jar of parm from Walmart for like 2, but the quality of Whole Food's parmesan is insane. You can smell the difference alone. It honestly makes all the difference. Even at Trader Joes, the size is the same, and it would probably be around 6$ for the same thing, despite their quality being good, Whole Food's is just on another level. THE BEST PART is that they have someone behind the counter that can cut blocks for you. So, the first time I got parm here, I was like no way I am spending 11$ on this block. I was looking around to see if they had a huge chunk where you could get your own tiny piece, but didn't see any. The worker asked if I needed help, and I said I just wanted a small piece for just that nights dinner. He said no problem at all! Just bring me any piece wrapped up and sitting out and I'll open it and re-cut it for you! He cut a piece that was only like 2$! He was the best! That way, I had just enough for one meal without spending a fortune. The next time, I found a piece at 9$ and I was like you know what, I'll just get the whole block. It is so good, I will definitely use it. In the end, I had a hard time finishing it before it got too hard because it was so big! I will in the future probably go for bigger pieces but just get them to cut enough so I won't waste any. Probably around a 5$ block! I had no idea they could do that, but I love that to ensure nothing goes to waste! ALSO their bread! If you have never tried the salt and olive oil bread... run to Whole Foods. It is amazing. I am not even a huge bread fan. If I eat bread it has to be with a dip or butter at the very least, but this bread is so fresh and amazing on it's own! I always buy it when I am making pasta though. The loaf is only 2.50$ I think and you can cut it yourself in their bread slicer! Another note: for Thanksgiving they do turkeys! I don't eat turkey, but my family that lives in Monroe needed one last year. My grandma usually makes it, but couldn't this year. My dad looked everywhere and couldn't find anyone that could do one that wasn't already booked. They have pre-cooked and raw options. I think the cheapest they had was around 70$, so not super cheap, but if you are not trying to diy one from the freezer, it is very simple to get one here! We went for the pre-cooked, so on Thanksgiving day we just reheated in the oven and everyone said it was delicious! Definitely the best place to shop if you don't have a budget, but even for those on a budget, I recommend stopping by here for breads, cheese, pastries, specialty produce and even some of their self serve hot meals! For the rest, Trader Joe's and Kroger are both across the street. The perfect location to hit several stores :)

Yelp
5 star general in appearance and customer service. The in store signage is properly lit and easy to read. The employees actually care about your experience and end result. They have a variety of fresh produce fish and meat choices for the carnivores. An on-site bakery, pizza and coffee bar. If you like wine, cheese and crackers fresh olives or precooked items in the food court from what o saw everything was prepared with precision. The store is exceptionally clean and polished. Experience it for yourself. It's worth the visit.

Yelp
Every time we come to this location we have a pleasant experience. This last time my partner was looking for certain types of cheese for dishes he will be cooking for Thanksgiving. Cathy at the cheese section was very pleasant, knowledgeable and professional. We tasted some delicious cheeses & she helped us a great deal. It's because of people like her that makes going grocery shopping more pleasant. Keep up tge good work Cathy .

Yelp
My daughter and I absolutely loved WFM and try to visit new ones often. This was our first time at this particular location. It's location in a shopping center which we enjoyed. Clean on the inside and the volume is just as busy as other locations we've been to. We wanted food from the hot bar but the food didn't look fresh. We chose sushi and pizza which was okay. The pizza was hard and you could tell it was just sitting. We went around 2-3 so I was hoping we could get some good eats but that wasn't the case.

Yelp
I really enjoy visiting this whole foods location. This is a huge store so the inventory and options are great. The employees do a great job of keeping a store this size clean. Sometimes it can be difficult to find things since the isles are so large and they dont follow the categorization of other stores but with patience its fine. This location is located inside of a pretty large strip mall so theres plenty of parking. However, since its on Roswell road it can be difficult to leave the lot during rush hour.
google avatar

Janos J.

Yelp
Anytime I am around 285 I stop at this location. The staff here are always very helpful, should you have any questions. The place is kept clean and the isles are well stocked and organized. As most people mention the prices here are high (whole wallet), though hopefully with Amazon purchasing them the prices will go down somewhat of course with that also means thousands of employees will be let go as they will start using Amazon Go nationwide and will no longer need cashiers. When shopping at Wholefoods on a budget, go with their "365 Brand Everyday Value" these generally seem to be organic/all natural products and are very reasonably priced. Yelp
This WFM has seen a serious overhaul! I love the new layout of this updated Sandy Springs location. I notice they're out of products a lot or don't carry as many flavors in certain products as the 14th st. location. The upside to this being such a high traffic store, is that the produce section is always pretty fresh! There is usually a long line at the meat counter, but that also means the meats here are usually pretty fresh, too! The parking lot is huuuuuge! I've gotten into two little fender benders in this lot lol. Never fear tho, you'll always find a spot!

Yelp
I've been going to this Whole Foods for years and it's one of my favorites. They recently had some renovations that really give it a crisp fresh look and feel. Now to the good stuff...the TTLA sandwich. After being referred and hearing all the hype I had to stop in and try it. The hype is real and this sandwich is the TRUTH. I am not vegan but you don't have to be to enjoy this tasty sandwich. It's layered with fresh avacado, lettuce, tomato, vegan garlic aioli sauce, and tempeh bacon (yes vegan).. all wrapped in delicious ciabatta bread. Everything comes together so well to make the perfect vegan BLT. I suggest everyone at least try this sandwich. There are many other food options like pizza or the hot bar which changes daily. The customer service is always very good at this location. Even people that aren't directly helping you are always asking if you've been helped or need any assistance.
google avatar

Gina T.

Yelp
I was highly disappointed in this location! I'm an avid Whole Foods shopper and couldn't believe the lack of products. Popular produce were completely out of stock. Lots of lanes with no cashiers. No self checkout either. I definitely prefer Buckhead or midtown locations.

Aaron E.

Yelp
She didn't mind helping me and had beautiful customer service too. What a breath of fresh air. What I was looking for was in stock and on sale! I am a happy customer.
google avatar

Pamela J.

Yelp
My third Atlanta Whole Foods and I think this one had the most vegan / vegetarian items on the food bar than I've seen outside of California. Good job! Bought some coffee from Savannah. I like the various local products offered. Had a very nice and diverse hot bar meal here. Good ample parking and easy on:off to major highway.

Yelp
Been stopping by the Whole Foods for several years, on February 4, 2020 I visited to pick up natural bars of soap. I was taking by surprise to see the brand new maker over they've done to the place over in the cold salad buffet, hot food area buffets, and all the other self serve stations in the store. GREAT! Looks absolutely fantastic. Improving the bulk preparation of the many varieties of foods has been minimized. Smart move! I've always felt there was just too much food being prepared and I often thought about how many days the foods are in the display stations before its thrown out? Thats the positive the negative are the prices! In the Seafood and Meat area prices are very high! Nice presentation displays, great selections, perfect place to find just about any meat product you could be looking for, even stumbling upon a meat you've might not have been able to find any where else but at this Whole Foods Market. I recommend those who enjoy most of Whole Foods products....go visit this one in Sandy Springs....I really loved the new ideas!

Yelp
I've been coming here for years, and I have made many requests that the bathroom stalls be repaired/updated, but they never do anything about it. In the meantime they've spent a year or more "updating" the exterior of the store. #priorities There are only two toilets, one of which is a handicapped stall. A woman came in with her child who needed the stall, but I was in it because it was the only one available. She was Pissed at me. There should be at least three stalls for a store of this size. Also, both toilets have loose/ broken seats that wobble when you sit on them. I've reported these many times. Both stalls are missing any rack to hang your purse / coat on, so you have to lay your things on the floor. Whole Foods. Do better.

Yelp
Whole Foods has always been a little intimidating to me. I don't get the whole health food craze, so I'm definitely not willing to pay so much for something I don't appreciate or understand. However, as I started getting into Acai Bowls, I realized that one of the few grocery stores that sells Frozen Acai was Whole Foods. I mustered up the courage before venturing in at peak time: after work. What was I thinking, avoiding Whole Foods for so long?! It's wasted time in the past, but I just need to get over it and start coming more. I easily found the frozen acai packets in the frozen fruit section. Afterward, I started browsing and my rumbling tummy drew me to the hot food bar. And O. M. G. I couldn't stop myself fast enough from grabbing a to-go carton and piling up item after item. From seasoned veggies to chicken tikka masala to whatever fish I chose, there's more than one something for everyone. Checking out my food at the register pushed me to the reality of exactly how much food I bought, as they charge food by the pound. However, the taste and quality made it worth it. Also, I got 10 cents off my purchase because of the Yelp grocery bag I brought! Thanks YelpAtlanta!

Nancy M.

Yelp
I am looking for lobster in any form except live ~ tails or whole that is steamed or boiled by Whole Foods.

Ksenia F.

Yelp
One of the locations I frequent most often, not only because of the convenience, but because I know that they usually carry my items (unlike the one in East Cobb/Buckhead). I really like their seafood counter with smoked seafood options as well as the seafood salad bar right next to it. The Thai squid salad is a must. They also carry all of my rice/corn/quinoa cakes that a lot of other locations do not have. Things to note: - Their sushi selection went downhill. They used to have 4 rice options and now it appears they are down to two - white and brown. No more brown/quinoa mix, nor purple rice sushi. - The prepared foods options are not as good (variety wise) as they were a few years back. - They now have a mochi cooler next to the checkout registers with about 12 different options but the mochi is quite weird. From the time I purchased it to the time I got it home, it was a melted ice cream looking mess. Didn't stay intact whatsoever. - The bulk section has a great variety! Things I found here: oat/wheat bran, TVP, biodynamic brown rice, nutritional east flakes, among tons of other things. Regardless of all of the pitfalls, it is still one of my favorite locations to visit.

Brett L.

Yelp
Love the food and quality here. My only issue is the rude employee at the seafood counter. Which has occurred more than once. Big white Kid with curly hair. Hire better employees or pay them more. I just spent $44 on one dry aged steak. I was in Los Angeles recently and the employees were 10x nicer at in and out burger.

Yelp
Soup Season is here and Whole Foods makes some really good ones. I was under the weather and needed a healthy dose of seasoned liquids to bring me back to life so instead of stopping at Chick Fil A to order the usual Chicken Tortilla soup, my tastebuds needed something different. On this particular day, they served a Corn Chowder which I've never had in life and thought to myself "I've been missing out!". I definitely took home a cup of that along with their Lentil Harissa soup. Flavor on Flavor! I'm giving them a lower rating than my last review because of my disappointment in their new Peanut Butter Cookie recipe. For about a month or so, they've introduced these thicker cookies which are super dry. In the past, these cookies couldn't be kept in the tray now there's a whole surplus of them. No one likes em. Hopefully they go back!

Yelp
I love this Whole Foods location. Not only do I come here to get my fresh juices for when I'm fasting or need a boost of energy, I also love stopping by for the lunch or dinner buffet. There's always a great variety of food and the people are always pleasant. The only time I haven't gone is for breakfast. I like stopping by the Ponce DeLeon location instead (fried tofu and spinach quiche).
google avatar

Yelp
This location is decent. The layout seems somewhat small and not as luxurious as I'm used to but the presentation of products and foods are always nice. Everything was well stocked at the opening hour of 8 am. The breakfast bar, which I have never tried before, was pretty darn good! I basically gobbled it all up and left nothing to spare. Lol. I had a tiny portion of cheese grits, spinach w/mushroom, eggs, sweet potatoes, and regular potatoes with onions. Sooo good. The spinach with mushroom was surprisingly delicious and perfectly seasoned. The service here was mixed. I had a barista make a latte for me and I was trying to ask her questions on the choices, but she seemed like she just wanted to make the latte quick and get me out of her way. Not very friendly or customer service oriented. Perhaps my skin color was an issue for her. Lol, that's seriously how it seemed. On the flipside, Joy at the register went out of her way, to be helpful and just genuinely very nice! This is what I am used to expecting at Whole Foods from all the staff..... Not sure how often I will visit due to the service...

Yelp
Waited 10 minutes to see if the butcher would get off his phone and he never did. I signaled to him for his attention and he gave me a wait sign and proceeded to use his phone. Horrible customer service.

Yelp
This is a great Whole Foods! I went here to buy groceries and was not disappointed. They have a very large produce section. I recommend bringing reusable bags. They have very good gelato. They have lots of deserts, salad bars, and lots of fresh food and meat. The cashier was very friendly, and helped us with the Amazon Prime Member deal. Overall, I highly recommend shopping here.
google avatar

Angela M.

Yelp
I don't frequent Whole Foods, as the prices and traffic patterns don't lend themselves to my life. But when I want something special, like fresh figs in season, a specialty cheese, or a variety of Bob's Red Mill that will take too long for Amazon to deliver, I stop in. The aisles are wide. The employees are friendly. They've got the items that I need. And now with the Amazon Prime member discounts and specials, I am more inclined to check them out.

Yelp
I always shop in this Whole foods Market but today my experience was not so great. Zee was my cashier she did not say how are you so I just ignore her at first. Then when she finished with my grocery, she did not even tell me the total is such & such. She seemed like her voice was taking a vacation so I told her such such price is what i have to pay. She said in a soft voice yes. Come on! Not good! Management I always buy my grocery here & train her to be more amicable & nice. If she is a cashier, the customer service should be excellent. The date was 4/8/2019 at 2:15PM.

Yelp
What's for dinner, If you can't figure it out this is a good place to start with so many stations to choose from . A few must haves are Smoked Salmon dip from the seafood dept. they make it fresh daily and this stuff Rocks ! Seriously I'm not a fan of Salmon and will tear this stuff apart with pita chips. The B.B.Q. station, some times I circle it like a shark looking for small fish. Decide what looks and smells good to you and ask the man at the counter for a taste. I am not bashful about asking for a couple of samples here and know damn well I'm going to buy the beef brisket anyway. Sliced brisket is smokey, juicy and can be bought by the pound on the spot. No buns needed for this folks . Olive bar, It is a beautiful thing . If Cheese is your thing you have come to the right playground. A variety of Blue, Double and Triple Cream Bries, White or Yellow Cheddar's, Cows milk or Sheep they got ya covered . Make sure to buy a jar of the Fig Spread it is NOT to be missed, you will love yourself for buying this . *365 Meatballs are lacking flavor and texture try something else.

Yelp
I live in the SS neighborhood, so it would make sense for me to shop / eat here. I may shop at this location, but very seldom eat here. The hot food bar is so hit or miss. I have to travel to the Buckhead WF for my morning steel cut oatmeal. That pot of stuff they call oatmeal at the SS location looks and taste like mush. Just recently the store has done a nice interior facelift - hopefully they will upgrade and gain consistency with the hot bar. The customer service is respectable. There are times I'll run into a cashier that's just having a not so good day. For the most part the team is friendly enough. The store is clean and there is plenty of seating. They offer a few fun events at the store, like wine tasting, cooking demonstrations and occasional live music. The live music is REALLY a nice touch. I'm hoping the food bar steps up their game

Yelp
The food is wonderful, but I'm always disappointed in the care they take with their bathrooms. The handicap accessible stall has the following issues: 1) toilet seat is loose and moves up to 4" when you sit on it 2) door hook for purse is very loose, so you have to place your purse on the floor or on the baby changing station 3) missing bits on door leaving jagged holes 4) garbage knocked over with diapers

Yelp
Much like other Whole Foods. Their produce section is not as well-stocked as the Ponce WF or even some Krogers, but it's decent. I like Whole Foods, so four stars.

Yelp
Why is the BBQ here so good? Somehow its the best BBQ I've had in Atlanta. I know that sounds ridiculous but if you like smoky, rich BBQ and are struggling finding something great for a great price in the city try whole foods I guess ‍? Try it. Also the beer selection is great. For a store known for organic, vegan, healthy, etc. foods, you can get a real southern meal here. Or you can get some fancy cheese, wine and some solid pizza by the slice and pretend your in Italy. Or get some fresh ground honey roasted peanut butter. Or don't... it's very addictive. Also theres a good selection of non-dairy cheeses if you have dairy allergies.

Yelp
Quick visit to the granola crunchy/giant corporate food store: generally not bad. Just a little light on variety. Strange areas of empty space. Very pleasant staff, for the best part. Did not have any artificial sweeteners, asside from French vanilla stevia at the coffee bar. Employee informed us that it's all they have.

Yelp
I enjoy lunch here 1-2 times per week because it is convenient & healthy! However, it is increasingly dirty!! I sure wish all the tables & bar area were bused & wiped down after each diner departs! With the prices we pay... I think it's necessary! Thank you! Whole Foods you are under construction!! What surprises await us? I hope there will be a bar with fine wines & craft beers & charcuterie to snack on! Please may the restrooms be spacious & CLEAN!! Excited to see the changes!!

Yelp
EVERY healthy food item you need. Very good selection and supply. My special item is the (on sale)low-sodium,2 for $5 soups.Whenever they have this deal I normally "stock-up" with about two dozen.

Yelp
I just moved and received a coupon mailer for a "dinner on us" meal from Whole Foods. The card stated it was up to a $19.99 value-score! I get to Whole Foods and ask someone working where I have to go to pick up this illusive tease of a meal. The first worker I talked to had no idea. The second worker I approached wouldn't even make eye contact. The third, also had no idea what the coupon was about and he told me to go to customer service. I stood at the customer service counter for five minutes waiting for someone, anyone, to magically appear. The phone was ringing off the hook. Several workers walked by but no one made eye contact or attempted to help. How do you send out a mailer promoting a free meal and several other coupons but your employees have no idea about it? I get it, Whole Foods, I'm not good enough to shop in your store. I'm going back to Trader Joes where customer service still thrives.

Yelp
I use to come here a lot when I was in my 20's and lived in Roswell. It's not a big store but it's got a great urban hip vibe. The place is off of Roswell Rd near 285. The parking can be a mess on the weekend only because there is a lot going on in this place. They got great ready to eat food bar , a juice bar and a fantastic bakery that sells individual muffins and bagels. If I'm in the area I will pop in and I have no plans to change that plan....

Yelp
Whole Foods is pricier than most grocery stores, but you get what you pay for: higher quality food products, organic produce, and natural meats and seafood. I love how everything is fresh and you can spend quite a bit of time checking out the store's many unique offerings. I really like Whole Foods Sandy Springs because the employees are always friendly and helpful and the store is clean and never crowded. I always enjoy trying the fruit and cheese samples as soon as I walk in (produce section). They need more sample stations. The produce section has a beverage bar where you can order several different types of newly made juices, teas, and coffees. I also like checking out the grains section, where you can load up on various raw grain and grain products such as barley, bulgar, couscous, quinoa, and lentils. There are signs in the meat and seafood section telling you where each of the various meats and seafoods originated from (e.g. the specific farms or seas). All of the meats are raised naturally. For example, chicken and eggs are farmed free range. Meats such as beef are ground in-house daily. Check out the special herbs, spices, and seasonings in this section to try in your next recipe. A place I like, nearby the meat and seafood section, is the oil display. Here you can sample a variety of oils for free (bread is provided). Also close-by are machines where you can grind your own butters, such as peanut butter. Of course, what Whole Foods is complete without a hot and cold bar? I'm always tempted to get something. Never go to a grocery store hungry. Especially never go to a Whole Foods hungry. One of my favorite items off the buffet is their steamed kale. I love kale. Speaking of which, Whole Foods also stocks baked kale chips. They are addicting and delicious. In addition to the buffet items, there's also freshly baked pizza and you can purchase made-to-order sandwiches. If you choose to eat any of the foods in-store, there are tables located just outside the checkout lanes. Some final things I'd like to mention about this Whole Foods: for $14.99, you can purchase a "Whole Value Meal" which is a pre-made entree for four people. This is a great place to get flowers on-the-fly. And I always like to take a few swigs of that "super" wheat grass drink on my way out.

Yelp
I took Nonna to lunch on Sunday. I couldn't find "Tin Can Fish and Oyster House" -- where the heck is it? -- so I just took her to the food-by-the-ounce buffet at Whole Foods. N.B. This is a review of the prepared food, not the whole store which looked like a pretty standard Whole Foods. Nonna got what she wanted; I got what i wanted. The meal was quick, remarkably tasty and inexpensive. Then it struck me like a bolt of lightning. The buffet at Whole Foods -- and there are bigger, more elaborate buffets at other Whole Foods stores -- is better than about half the restaurants I've gone to since I started Yelping in 2009. Seriously. Let's re-set the meter, fellow Yelpers. -- If you should go hungry rather than eat at a place: 1 star. -- If a restaurant isn't as good as Whole Foods: 2 stars. -- If a sit-down restaurant with waiters is about as good as Whole Foods: 3 stars. -- If it's better than Whole Foods and it's worth driving 15 minutes for: 4 stars. -- If it's worth driving across town for: 5 stars. What do y'all think?
