Why Pok Pok Som Rebranded Away From Wellness | Eater

"The natural-foods retailer that initially housed the product on grocery shelves and provided a built-in health-and-wellness community for small brands, positioning the drinking vinegar alongside probiotics and kombucha. After its acquisition by Amazon, the chain’s grocery model shifted toward a pay-to-play environment—requiring free product for comps, in-store demos, stocking fees, field teams to check shelving, and distributor management—which made sustained shelf success difficult for small producers without significant sales infrastructure." - Deena Prichep

Food Industry Workers Pushed Hard for Unionization in 2019 | Eater

Why Grocery Stores Like H-E-B, Wegmans, and Publix Inspire Devotion | Eater

Impossible Foods CEO Talks About the Beef Lobbyists Putting Up a Fight | Eater

"A national grocery chain publicly signaled reluctance to carry a well-known plant-based burger brand on the grounds that it is ‘processed,’ a position that critics in the conversation described as inconsistent or hypocritical given the store’s broader inventory of processed items and its positioning as a purveyor of ‘whole’ foods." - Martha Daniel

Be aware that the last pizza can be ordered only at 6:30 p.m. There's no deli at all except overpriced 'triangled' sandwiches for $16.. So if you're looking for a quick bite in the evening, look elsewhere.

Google
Whole Foods Market, There are no negative things to say about this supermarket. Always clean, produce is fresh, and you will find things here you will not find anywhere else. If you require a specific, they will have things for you. Need assistance. They are there for you. I had to ask a question, I not only got the answer, but the cook came out and showed me where everything was in the store. He also made brand recommendations! Some things are definitely more than their competitors, there are things that are cheaper and a better quality than any other supermarket. If you have Prime, you will get a discount. Parking is plentiful. This place is handicap friendly and child friendly. Stop in for lunch and then pull up a seat and enjoy 😉

This place is very disappointing for one the workers and including the manger need to learn how to acknowledge people when they are waiting to be help instead of pass by the customer or just keep on working or act like your not there. I had used to good to go app 2 times and both times I gave them a 1 star. My first trip there one of the worker told me that they ran out of order and excuse was the manager wasn’t there and didn’t make enough of food. almost got send home with nothing but one of the employees gave me something which was thankful for i appreciate it. I figure let me try one more time last night when I went there for 2nd time it was completely waste of my time. They gave me 3 items and expect that be worth the 30 when I know it’s not. What I showing in the picture what I received last night. I am sorry but I could have got this all at ShopRite instead wasting time to come here which I don’t live close by. I am completely done coming here this place is not worth my time

Google
Very easy and efficient to return Amazon packages. Browsed some of the healthier products and produce. The 365 brand peanut sauce is still my favorite. I loved the additional Amazon prime discount on sale items. I was impressed to see the temperature of ALL the hot foods and soups on the self-serve bars being tested for safety!

Google
Super clean, well-stocked Whole Foods with a few local “NJ shore” touches in the decor. The produce is fresh and lovely with plenty of variety, breads and pastries are good as are the baked goods. There is a pizza bar and an array of prepared foods too. Whole Foods has a very good selection of gluten-free, vegetarian, allergen-free, and dairy-free foods for those whose diets require it. The Whole Body section has plenty of variety in shampoos, body wash, cosmetics, make-up, bath products, vitamins, and other supplements.

Google
Im so sad there's no whole goods near where I live. So anytime I'm up in this area, I always stop in to grab some hard to find items. They have a great selection of a variety of products. Produce and tea selections are my favorite)specifically Republic of Tea Hibiscus teas. Staff are super helpful.

Google
Upscale and modern retail. First time at whole foods, and I am a retail fan. I was really impressed with the vibe and organized clean look of the store. Love that kosher items are marked at the price label. Will be back!

Yelp
So in here, I have a little bit of everything. I have the truffle mashed potatoes, which is probably the best thing out of everything really good you could taste everything. The spinach artichoke dip very good very fresh. The garlic fingerling potatoes are amazing the lemon herb chicken good but can use a little bit more lemon, just a tad bit more flavor, brioche butter rolls Acourse good, cream of mushroom soup good and the pizza great overall I would say this is a good holiday dinner for under 100 bucks. 4.2 outta 5

Yelp
My first time going to Whole Foods was this location. Best experience ever. I've never wanted to go to a Whole Foods more after visiting this location. The salad bar, the cookie butter coffee, the samosas. The minute I walk into Whole Foods I feel healthier. Something about the crisp air and smell of vegetables transports me to a world of absolutely delicious food. The employees are also super kind and very helpful. When my parents ask me to go grocery shopping with them, I only want to go if it's at Whole Foods. If you were to ask me about Whole Foods I'd say, yeah it's a pretty good grocery store. But if you were to ask me on a deeper level I'd say, it's the it's the most magical place on Earth, not Disney.

Yelp
This review is strictly for the hot bar and salad bar. It is severely hit or miss. Sometimes they have great selections which are good. Other times the selections are terrible and the food looks like it's been sitting since 1987. In the summer months you will typically see flies feasting on the grub which is not particularly appealing to many. I work local so Whole Foods can be a healthy lunch choice when trying to keep your intake clean. But honestly since covid the quality and variety has gone way down. Yesterday I popped in, grabbed 4 bbq wings, a few Brussels sprouts, some curried cauliflower and a few pieces of baked sweet potatoes. The wings tasted like they were reheated several times, the texture was like leather. The Brussels Sprouts were hard to chew. Although they had some char on them they were inedible. The other two were fine. I tossed roughly 1/2 the meal in the trash. Use your judgment when eating here. I hear the pizza is good. Sushi usually looks good but seems pricey to me.

Yelp
Things have improved here since my last review. I suspect the pandemic had a lot to do with it. I think the prices are competitive - while somethings are wildly overpriced from Shop Rite or Wegmans, there are other things that I can get here that cheaper. I will continue to shop here.

Yelp
This is my favorite WFM location so far out of all I've been to. Why? The shelves are often neat, the store is immaculate, the employees seem upbeat and friendly, and they stock a wide selection of organic and vegan Whole Foods. And its HUGE! Some have complained of prices. You get what you pay for if you want and expect quality. Someone has mentioned the fact that the pizza man doesn't wear gloves. As a pizza fanatic and someone who has made plenty of pizzas it is impossible to stretch pizza dough with gloves on. Go to any real pizza spot and you'll never see gloves. Besides it gets cooked in an extremely hot oven likely killing whatever germs off. Im also not sure why other reviewer would give Whole Foods a low review for a shopper not wearing a mask? How is that their problem? Of course they're not going to approach the customer not wearing a mask because have you seen how those people react when approached? It makes sense. I'll keep coming here! For now.

Yelp
if I could give this grocery store zero stars I would. FYI I am a African American woman I visited this store 7/19/24 at the Wall Township NJ location for these two products "black seed oil and oil of oregano" to see if they have it in stores since I only saw it on Amazon. When I walked in, I went straignt to the vitamins aisle and began searching for the oils, I didnt plan on buying it today however I was going to buy it eventually bc the ones on Amazon are crazy expensive. As I'm browsing I feel as if I'm being stared at, I look to my left and well my assumption was right because I was being heavily watched by two WOC Whole Foods employees at the register. I brushed it off and continue to browse. I'm pretty sure if you worked in retail or grocery you can pick up on ques of someone needing assistance. I was provided nothing but stares, they began whispering to each other staring at me. I began to feel uneasy since I was very uncomfortable and decided to just take a walk around the store, now this is my first time at Whole Foods so I just wanted to see how it looked. As I am doing that I see that I was being followed by a white male employee. If I was in the meat section he was there too, the sushi bar he was there, pastry section... you got it, he was there TOO. I then decided it was time to leave bc I felt so uncomfortable here. I didn't see any other African Americans in the store but I didn't really pay attentive to that considering I didn't go there for that. As I make my way out I could feel the same WOC looking at me up and down as if to search me for something with their eyes. I left out the store and I don't think I'll be back.

Yelp
So many delicious options to choose from in the regular part of the store and the ready made food sections. I don't have any Whole Foods near my house so traveling to NJ these past weeks has been a treat. The triple cheese macaroni and cheese at this Wall Township store is amazing. I assumed every whole foods had the same recipe but I'm disappointed to be wrong after getting Mac and cheese from the Red Bank location. I love my wife's mac and cheese but I might love the Wall Township one even more... But let's keep that to ourselves.

Yelp
There seems to be NO produce manager and there is ALWAYS a mixup of organic romaine lettuce. yesterday ones with bands were placed as NON organic and no bands on shelf labeled organic. Frequently no bands at all. Lafermiere yogurt is always on rear of top shelf where women can't reach!

Yelp
Hey with out getting too redundant here, as the Duchess hit the nail on the head with her review, we do not go to WF to buy cheerios and Philly brand cream cheese either. Yes we too go to Wegmans for routine groceries items like these. But, if you are looking for that something special and willing to pay the price WF can't be beat. And, now they're right here in Wall at the heart of the Jersey shore. Great space with tons of seating they played their cards right as the lunch crowd has been sensational since opening day. Great selection of prepared foods to choose from. We tried a pair of 2 inch thick NY steaks and when grilled at home outdoors a few days later on our Webber - we were in steak heaven. Yeah I get it, Whole Foods - whole paycheck but once in awhile you got to treat yourself...

Yelp
This would be a nice store however my husband and I had a bad experience at the bread counter. The very unfriendly lady working behind the counter was doing nothing and after asking for sliced bread she said it self serve in a very nasty tone. She never offered to assist and show us how to use the machine and regardless of figuring it out it is not good customer service nor is it safe for kids to use. Wegmans doesn't even allow their employees under 18 to use these machines. Very disappointed.

Yelp
Holiday Catering: spent $531 on catering for a family of 11 for Christmas because I was unable to cook this year. The pick-up process in the Springlake/Wall store was excellent, the food was hit or miss. Well worth the cost, both on taste and value, were the Shrimp Trio Platter, Vegan en Croute entree, Garlic Fingerlings, and the Chimichurri sauce. Not worth the Cost were the Antipast Platter (not as robust as pictured) it looked like someone made a tray from someone else's leftovers, The Grilled Veggie Platter, nothing was grilled enough so if you are serving this platter cold or room temp, you have unpleasant hard red onion that all gets tossed, Vegan "meat"balls, Green Bean casserole was terrible and got tossed out, almost in it's entirety, Mashed Sweet Potatoes and Mac and Cheese were meh, Asparagus reheated terribly and the Brown Sugar Citrus Spiral Ham, while delicious, had more than one central bone, it was IMPOSSIBLE to carve so we literally had a tray of Ham "schards" to serve. It will make great soup, but was embarrassing to serve. That was the biggest disappointment. I have never seen that in my 5 years of serving a spiral ham for Christmas. I will say the Turkey I ordered for Thanksgiving from the Marlboro, NJ store was the best turkey I have ever eaten, so I was hopeful for Christmas catering. I am a professionally trained chef so consider that when reading this review. But, I do maintain that the service in store and time that was saved were still probably worth it, the food was just largely underwhelming.

Yelp
I having been coming to Whole Foods a least once a week, and I am very disappointed that the juice bar is out of the ingredients to make a wellness shot . Please post a sign that So I don't waste my time asking. The employee just keeps telling me to check next week . Take if off the menu until it comes in . Thank you

Yelp
So the staff at most Whole Foods stores are good. Chantel from the fish counter and Debbie from the holiday desk in the Wall, NJ store are the best! Second to none! I ordered a large amount of seafood. The order was perfect. Cleaned and packed perfectly! Outstanding customer service. The seafood was very high quality!

Yelp
This is the first time that I'm in this new branch since it opened in April of this year. All the Whole Foods present very well with their open air, well spaced counters and very well-lit building on top of their super clean appearance to give one the feeling of being carefree. You're transported to another world and your incentive is to buy everything possible. Even your olfactory nerves are heightened. Haha. Whole Foods caters to upper-middle to upper class clientele. It's so nice to come here and browse at the foods, their preparation of seafood, bakery items, cheeses, coffees , juices, & super prime meats. BUT depending on your pocketbook, do you want to pay 50-60% above average for quality? Considering myself a seasoned shopper.....is the quality commensurate with their prices? That's debatable. Compare this chain with Wegmans whether money is an issue or not. I give it a rating of 4 for all of the above, save value.

Michael E.

Yelp
On a recent visit to Whole Foods, I noticed several customers not wearing a mask. When I went to customer service to ask what their policy was, I was told that they were instructed by management not to confront shoppers. Really!? Thanks for caring about the 98% of your customers who care about others and your employees.

Yelp
The only reason I go to Whole Foods is because of essential organic ingredients that are difficult to find especially the further south you go from Wall. This recently became important to my family because we moved to Toms River and Whole Foods in Wall is still closest . Over time I have noticed the basic quality of the food items become horrible. This is a huge departure from the true Whole Foods experience I remember . In just the last month my wife has purchased rotten onions , moldy English muffins , moldy tortillas . We have found sharp wood chips in some of the bulk dried fruits , organic valley milk that had a bad smell to it . Treated ourselves to fallafels from the salad bar to go that were literally rock hard and inedible. Also about that salad bar , where the hell are the attendants keeping it refreshed I watched people sneeze on tongs and place them back in the salad . There should always be eyes on every station , to see things like that don't happen! I keep telling my wife , we are already driving all the way to Wall from Toms River , we may as well take the parkway an extra 10 minutes and go Wegmans in ocean twp instead . She keeps holding out faith that this is some fluke and that Whole Foods cant be this bad now , but lately . Wegmans is fresher , Wegmans is cheaper and Wegmans is a much wider variety . I've basically run out of reasons to keep shopping at Whole Foods outside of the courtesy gift cards they give us every time we buy mold. .... also the free snack for my child is a nice gesture , but the store needs to be focusing on quality assurance more than tidbit amenities. What is corporate doing to hold this location to better standards !

Yelp
Whole Foods on route 35 in Wall, NJ the best place for cold pressed juices! "Get your Greens" juice is delicious! This juice is filled with kale, ginger, green apple, how they make it taste so good is great baristas! The nice lady behind the counter really knows how to make the combinations perfect! If your feeling sluggish be good to yourself and get your tasty vitamins in a great tasting cold pressed juice!

Yelp
FOOD KITCHEN AREA I'm hoping a manager sees this. You offer the beyond burger which is vegan... yet your employees cross contaminate with meat using the same spatula and grill area. This is unacceptable and needs to be corrected or you will be sure to lose profit. I am disgusted yet I wouldn't say anything to the employee. It is fairly common sense that a vegan product should not touch animal products in any way. Very disappointed.

Yelp
I was SO happy when they opened a WF in Wall, NJ. The store is expensive, yes. I am not going to lie. If you find one that is cheap, let me know asap! That said, WF has a lot to offer. Large selection of fresh produce, wild caught seafood, grass fed bison and beef, and fresh baked breads that range from gluten free to paleo friendly. They also have a HUGE hot food, salad bar, and sushi bar on the premises, with tons of healthy yet filling choices. You can pack up your food to go or eat it right there in their lovely, spacious, cafe. Soups available too! I recommend the lentil. Speaking of cafes, the coffee/juice bar is amazing! Baristas will make you anything from an almond milk cappuccino to a coconut milk latte. You want soy milk in your coffee? Done! Smoothies = yes please! WF had a menu of about 8 healthy smoothies, from my favorite coco kale to berry blast or daily greens. You can also add in protein powder or other ingredients for an extra fee. Or design your own smoothie. The preset choices, however, are amazingly yummy and you don't feel like you are eating grass... trust me! Be sure to download the WF app. It includes digital coupons and weekly sale items that do lower costs significantly if used right. Ask the cashier for tips/advice to save. They know their stuff! Customer service and all of WF's employees are also very friendly. I am instantly in a good mood when set foot in whole foods. That's a store you want to check out. :) PS. Vitamins, probiotics, natural handsoaps, cleaning supplies, chemical free bug spray... It's all there! Including A La Maison deodorant...lavender aloe scent... which I use every day!

Yelp
So dissapointed in the take out here as compared to Middletown location. No consistency what-so-ever! The vegetables, all those beautiful veg...all over cooked or severely under cooked( Brussels hard as a rock) We ordered pizza one nite 4 slices thatbwe picked out, the employee heated while we made our salad. When we got home 3 of 4 slices were burned. Done with them...spent way too.much money since they opened for mediocrity
google avatar

Andrew S.

Yelp
I love their food bar and sushi, but overall their prices are very high and expensive. $20 will not buy you much here.
google avatar

M W.

Yelp
While it was clean and spacious, the employees are lacking in personality. And just like all Whole Foods that I've been too, the prepared foods are extremely unappealing. I had a slice of pizza that was asked to be heated up and it was room temp at best. Quite tasteless as well. Luckily I was just visiting the area and I have many more choices of organic merchants in Princeton. Which leads me to my next comment, don't be fooled by the organic game at Whole Foods. Many of their products are not organic, but I will admit they do label conventional produce as such.
google avatar

Stuart B.

Yelp
Wide selection of organic choices but not sure it is worth those prices. Large variety of prepared food but could use a little more seasoning sometimes. Nice that they put out specialty foods for the holidays that will cater to dietary restrictions; I.E. kosher for Passover.
google avatar

Jodie C.

Yelp
I have never been to a whole foods! I dont have one around me where I live or work in VA. I was impressed here. Great produce. Hot foods and salad/buffet bar. They had a coffee and bakery spot and the breads area actually had a slicer! This was super convenient!! Of course the prices are higher. You don't know yet that it's easier to buy crap/filler food and pay for your health later? Spend the money now on fresh whole foods and avoid the doctors pills later.

F C.

Yelp
It appears Whole Foods in Wall NJ has changed the carrot cake cupcakes recipe and not for the better. These were excellent now you are cutting corners. It is very noticeable. These were a great small desert that we a go to for me. Not any more

George F.

Yelp
They sold prepared bakery items they called souffle but really were a cross between a cupcake and a candy bar or a brownie. I should have known they were not true souffles by their appearance but bought them anyway, and regret it. Basically I torn between returning them and flushed them. The buffet was ok but only ok. I found the food bland. But if you like bland I can't really complain about it. They did have some specialty cheeses I bought and enjoyed and don't think I could have gotten elsewhere. The meal kits looked interesting.

Sue S.

Yelp
Not Safe: customers allowed to walk around without properly wearing masks and cashier at courtesy desk had a 5 minute conversation with a man who was wearing a mask below his upper lip. She said nothing. This is not safe for customers or employees.
google avatar

Carrie B.

Yelp
So disappointed in this WF. I went in all excited to get lunch to go. After looking at the seriously scary buffets I left hungry.
google avatar

Otis S.

Yelp
This is my favorite Whole Check in the North East. Well stocked shelves. Very clean, and a nice group of food geek hipsters that are completely willing to assist. It's alway a pleasure to shop here. The one draw back is the pizza guy doesn't wear gloves, so I'd recommend you do eat that strange looking stuff (if you're from the area you that's not real pizza anyway).
google avatar

Marie AK C.

Yelp
This is a pretty spacious Whole Foods stocked with lots of delicious foods, veggies, fruits down each aisle...It's organized and well kept. I just loved walking down each aisle and just browsing. I wanted to buy everything. LOL. Great place to grab a bite to eat in their "kitchen" self serve area.

Courtney D.

Yelp
Went to Whole Foods yesterday searching for appetizers to bring to a Friendsgiving gathering. Allison noticed me looking through the cheese section and asked if i needed any help. She then proceeded to walk me through the store for everything i would need for a small charcuterie board and also recommended bruschetta, crustinis as well as an Italian cracker. Her help was much appreciated and her recommendations were spot on as everyone at the gathering loved everything. Thank you so much Allison!

Eric C.

Yelp
Overpaid for milk and when I got home it was sour. Lines are to long prices are to high and paying with cash is very hard. Now I just go to Acme. This store was my favorite prior to Covid.
google avatar

Christine M.

Yelp
Let me start by saying I am quite delayed in writing this review, as the experience I will detail happened in Dec. We're all aware of what Whole Foods has to offer; selling the highest quality of product to "delight and nourish" their customers. I've never been disappointed by a trip to WF, no matter the location. However, I need to commend this location for the surprisingly personable experience they delivered. My mother passed away in a December and we were bombarded with deliveries from friends and family from surrounding eateries. A friend called this WF location, explained the situation, and the manager took it upon themselves to include a gorgeous white floral arrangement with the order and a thoughtful card. Absolutely unnecessary as the food was certainly satisfying and what we needed but to know in a time of mourning that there are thoughtful people looking to support perfect strangers...just incredible. Thank you for going above and beyond.

Janet M.

Yelp
Might as well go to Shop Rite. Long lines. Only 2 registers open on a busy morning. Rude customer service.
google avatar

Erica B.

Yelp
The WFs in Wall is okay! I come here for lunch sometimes and it is either ON POINT or OFF. They do have good Chinese food, the orange shrimp with rice and veggies is excellent. On the other hand, the sushi station is a little messy, they do have some items that are not labeled and therefore hard to purchase because you aren't really sure what you're buying. At the sushi station, when asking for spicy mayo I received some weird red sauce. Clearly if you work with sushi you know what spicy mayo is... right? Weird. The coffee station is good, the staff there is friendly.
google avatar

Yelp
Overall I appreciate the wide selection of natural products that this store offers; however, after several trips the produce has not been great, some prepared foods aren't always fresh, and the quality control seems to be lacking. Needless to say my expectations have not been met.

Yelp
I just had the greatest sandwich in the world from here on the greatest bread. Being from North Jersey I appreciate good food. I always frequent WF in West Orange and was really happy to see this one open. I've been to this WF quite a few times now and have yet to be disappointed. Ordered The Gallo with a few extras on it - Fantastic. I'll definitely order it again. Young lady behind the sandwich counter was very pleasant and really nice to talk too. I wish this store great success!

Yelp
This guy Todd goes there he wears a Wrangler hat and has foot fungus he's a creep and tyies to pick up young women up and picks his butt and talks to his self he might be on drugs watch out he has a white Toyota he tried to pick up my girlfriend but she refused what a creep also he's bald and wears cheap clothes

Yelp
What a great place. I interacted with at least 10 employees on my two visits and each was very positive and anxious to help me. The food is fresh, store is clean and vibe is really cool. Although a little pricey, well worth it.

Yelp
i go here all the time for groceries with my mom. we get a lot of my vegan food from here the only reason i'm giving it a 4 star review instead of 5 is because 2 times ago i was here this weird worker was following my boyfriend, his sister, his brother and me around the store. we all went into the store together and they have a 2 person together limit but we all were in the same car and in the same house and we weren't leaving each other behind shopping. so when we first entered the produce area the man asked us if we needed any help and we told him we were good because we knew what we needed and where we were going. then we went down the aisle next to it and we saw him walking behind us and we thought oh maybe he needs to do some work or something down this aisle. but then we went down another 4 aisles and he was still following us. then he told us we needed to get away from each other. we told him we're a family and weren't leaving each other behind. then we go down another aisle and he tells my boyfriends brother he's holding the cart wrong. then we were looking at the soup and he stood behind us and it was very creepy. another customer came behind us to look for soup and he apologized for us "taking so long". which was quiet aggravating considering we were there for 3 minutes. then we went to grab some almond milk because we forgot it and he still followed us. then my boyfriend decided to say something to him and he never said sorry he said according to my boyfriend that we needed to back away from each other. that was very annoying. besides this experience i love going here. i came back a few days later with my mom and had a fine experience. produce is always fresh.

Yelp
One of my favorite grocery store in NJ Well organize, great selection of product and courteous staff Really enjoy their bakery section as well as their juice bar

Yelp
I love this store it's a great addition to the Shore. I love the prepared foods especially the Indian food and the Mac and cheese is yummy. The store is so clean and all the employees are so knowledgeable and courteous. There is such a great selection of all kinds of foods and I love that they make it so easy to eat healthy. All in all I am so over the moon that they are conveniently located so close to my home Go Whole Foods !!!! Oh also best Valentine's Flowers ever

Yelp
This place is often a hit or a miss. More often a miss. Pluses are the food shopping section, fresh fruits, supplements, wide variety of drinks, and hot soups. Negatives are the buffets. Nothing seems to be refilled and most times i come in, there are empty trays. Salads don't always look fresh. I'm vegetarian and went to scoop some black beans into my salad and there was chicken from the next tray over all in the beans. They really don't seem to care about the quality of the food they are serving, from what i have seen/experienced. Falafel was hard and inedible, lettuce was red on the edges, brown rice was hard. you really should only come here if you want healthy groceries, otherwise, save your time and go to Natures Corner in Spring Lake.

Yelp
Poorly run store. Always running out of regular item so obviously bad planning and poor management. We used to drive about 12 miles to go there only to find out the items we needed were again sold out.

Yelp
I went to Whole Foods tonight. Overall good experience. Love that I was able to return my roller blades from Amazon with extreme convenience. The only reason I've deducted a star here is due to a cereal that I purchased. I write this review from my kitchen table currently. What's happening currently is that my 365 brand organic crunchy cinnamon squares are soaking into my mountainside farms filtered fresh whole milk. The disappointment is in the fact that it's only been about 12 minutes since I poured myself this bowl of cereal and these so called "crunchy" cinnamon squares are the furthest thing from crunchy. They are soft and mushy like a corny Valentine's Day card. Or like an 8 day old banana. Or like the ground after it rains for 4 days nonstop. Or like a pruned toe from a long bath. Anywho I just feel like cereal should stay crunchy and they should figure out some kind of technology to make that possible before they write "crunchy" on the box. I just don't like being deceived if you haven't realized that by now. I'm just bummed because I'm pretty sure I'm gonna have to throw the rest of my cereal out. It it wasn't soggy enough when I started writing this it sure is now.

Yelp
This is the worst Whole Foods I have ever been in. We bought shrimp and salmon recently; the shrimp tasted like iodine and the salmon reeked--both on the same day, neither sat around in our fridge or anything like that. For $20+ a pound that shouldn't happen. Actually for fish that shouldn't happen period. The salad and hot food bars are rarely fresh or full. Other Whole Foods might be worth the price, this one absolutely is not.

Yelp
If I could give it less I would . The place is clean and very nice, however , the prices are a big rip off. I could not believe my eyes 8 ounce package ofPhiladelphia cream $4.39. I had the manager price check it, he confirmed that was WHOLE FOOD's price. It sells in most store's about $2.75.I took a picture of this and would like to post it on the Internet.A clerk stated , "This is a rich neighborhood what do you expect". The store is good for a quick lunch. If you want quality and good prices go to Wegmans. Whole Foods has a bad reputation from ripping people off.Stay away from Whole Food's Wegman's was rated # 1 by the people, I also believe Wegman's and Costco are the best one ,two punch, of course depending on what you are looking for.

Yelp
Idk why ppl complain abt the prices at this place. Its a specialty food market. They wanna sell you organic produce, exotic cuts of meat, and wild caught fish. Those items are of quality and in turn will cost more. People should be delighted to have the opportunity to purchase such products all in one place. If you prefer pre-sliced packaged apples, dinty moore, and frozen tilapia, perhaps this place isn't for you. Coupon cut elsewhere, as there are plenty of other options in the area. Am i gonna try n buy cheerios and cream cheese here? No. Will wholefoods replace my weekly trips to shoprite, costco or foodtown? No. Will i go there to get an awesome Flintstones style tomahawk steak, top shelf cheeses and organic strawberries? YES! Haven't had the pleasure of tryn out the prepared foods, but if the crowds seem to be an indication, prob not too shabby. Actually got some great deals first week open such as 2lbs of org strawbs for $4.99 and 2 for $15 hanging baskets. Lost a star bc i heard management folded in war with vegans over hanging meat in the butcher dept. Sorry vegans, but if you don't like to see meat, don't go to a store that has a butcher. Wish you woulda stuck to your guns WF, but im over it.

Yelp
Very pricey. I love the prepared food they sell there. I wish they would bring back my favorite cous cous dish. Overall good experience and helpful workers.
