Google
Super good place to shop, they have parking garage just need to have the over $10 purchase receipt to voucher it, then parking for free. They even have a bar there, at the wine section. You can order then relax there. Super nice. I found my favorite beer there.

This location allows pets in the store and in the carts. They even allow them off leash. Update: This location still won't enforce DC health policies that prohibit pets in supermarkets.

Google
Nice store with all that you’d expect from a Whole Goods. Large selection of alcohol. They will validate your parking. The scanner for validation is at the very end of self checkout and on the left. It’s kind of hard to find if you don’t know where it is.

Google
I go here at probably once a week. Store has a positive vibe. Staff always helpful. Other customers all seem upbeat. Great place to grab lunch from the "buffet". A little expensive but "what you see is what you get" and great variety. "Cookie bar" a real treat.

Google
You must try their pizza. We bought a whole pizza with one topping on sale for $12.00. That was one of the best pizzas I've eaten in decades. The crust was crunchy with a nice salty taste. It held its own, as I was able to fold the slices to eat and enjoy. The sauce wasn't too acidic. We ate in the store at the provided tables. The lunch bar had utensils and even a water machine with cups.

Moldy strawberries in multiple containers. Local tomatoes that are already rotting. Red and yellow bell peppers that are not just dirty but probably unsafe for human consumption. Good thing the last items were on sale?

Google
Whole Foods Market is my go-to store for high-quality, fresh, and organic groceries. I love how they offer a wide selection of healthy options, including organic produce, artisanal bread, specialty cheeses, and natural snacks. The store always feels clean, well-organized, and inviting, making shopping a pleasant experience. What sets Whole Foods apart for me is their commitment to quality and sustainability. I can trust that the products are fresh and responsibly sourced, which aligns with my values. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and always willing to help me find what I need or offer recommendations. I also appreciate their ready-to-eat meals and salad bars, which are perfect for quick, nutritious lunches or dinners. Their selection of dietary-specific products, like gluten-free, vegan, or keto options, is impressive, making it easy to cater to different needs. I also love their seasonal items and unique finds that add a special touch to my shopping trip. Overall, Whole Foods Market provides a premium shopping experience with top-quality products and excellent customer service. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for healthy, organic, and responsibly sourced foods!

Google
I generally like this Whole Foods, but their delivery service has become increasingly infuriating. Despite clear instructions to deliver to our door, groceries are routinely dumped downstairs. We still tip well, which makes the disregard even more frustrating. Inside the store, in-person shoppers are often sidelined by staff fulfilling online orders. These employees, juggling multiple carts, create gridlock in the aisles—and worse, they’re consistently rude, dismissive, and unyielding. But the final straw? The tabouleh. As a longtime tabouleh enthusiast, it’s unacceptable to pay premium prices for a salad packed with parsley stems. This isn’t a minor oversight—it’s lazy, careless prep. True tabouleh is made with parsley leaves, not stems. Whole Foods should know better.

Yelp
Washington DC A New Yorker was visiting in Washington D.C. We had a wonderful experience at this location. there are place to eat outside and inside. Inc microwave, all the spices and olive oils. store kind and warm welcoming to the all customers. bathroom set up. Almost all the products are the same like NY except for DC original Whole Foods market bag. I believe this is only for Spring - there's a cherry blossom design. Neighborhood is safe after 10pm. I've attached pictures I hope it'll help.

Yelp
This Whole Foods is not very good. Either things are consistently out of stock or the produce is rotten. The prepared food sometimes looks unappetizing, and they often set out the food late. The hot food and salad bar used to be amazing a few years ago. The staff is usually friendly, though.

Yelp
This review is for the process of trying to buy a loaf of bread. I spoke with customer service, but I have a little confidence that they will actually follow up, so I am leaving a review, hoping they will actually take some sort of action. First of all the bag provided barely fit the loaf of bread. I had to touch the bread in order to get it in kind of gross. Honestly, I have never had an issue like this buying any sort of bakery, good at giant or any other cheaper grocery store. I get all the way up to the checkout after waiting for more than five minutes because of one issue after another and then I'm told I need to go back and get a sticker. She tries to look the item up, but she either cannot find it even though I'm telling her the exact name or the barcode scan, both of which are a customer service issue. There is no clear signage that you need to get a sticker. There is a machine next to the bread, but it looks more like some thing for the salad bar since the only instructions are to place the item on the scale for weighing. Obviously, I'm not gonna weigh my bread by the pound. The machine had very few digital buttons with any sort of writing on them so I'm just guessing what to press, and finally, as I'm figuring it out, some helpful worker tells me which button I need to press. By the time I return, a few more people have already checked out so it's a good thing. I wasn't actually in a hurry. The clerk suggestss that next time I just ask the bread counter for help. If it is so complicated, why don't you all just have a sign indicating people need to ask staff member for a label or provide clear instructions on the machine?

Yelp
Perfectly fine Whole Foods between Navy Yard and the Capitol. I've stopped in here many times for juice, snacks, and prepared food, and I've always been pleased with the selection. I'm not sure why so many people have had bad experiences--maybe mine is good because I've mostly been here at slower times during the day. The store has always looked tidy and reasonably well stocked. I don't know if I'd shop here for all my groceries, but it's pretty good when I want to pick up a few things or grab a quick lunch.

Yelp
Nice modern Whole Foods with an indoor parking lot. You can get your parking validated with purchase at Whole Foods at any cashier, self check out or customer service. It has a nice wine section on the right side right when you enter. I really like their hot food section. I got some prepared food at the deli and the customer service was amazing. He explained everything and was patient with me as I decided. I love that is place was very clean and brightly lit. Can definitely spend a good hour or two browsing around.

Yelp
Ok location. Very pretty outside. They keep the grounds looking very good. Big and spacious store, not too many friendly faces. Produce section could be better but I knew what I came in and out for so... GOODBYE

Yelp
I bought a package of raspberries here one night, opened it the next morning and they were covered in mold. I've never had that happen at any other grocery store. It also makes me nervous about the other food I bought here. What if something else has gone bad but I can't tell until I eat it? It's tremendously disappointing since I go to Whole Foods specifically because their groceries are normally higher quality than at other stores. I definitely won't come back to this location ever again. Aside from that, the person working at the fish counter literally refused to talk to me when I asked for some fish, even when I asked him a question. He got it and measured it, but he didn't say a word. I normally don't complain about customer service because I think when you pay people minimum wage, you get minimum effort. But him not saying a single word was honestly kind of jarring.

Yelp
This is a nice one. I like their wine department right near the entrance and the bar behind it. You can literally walk with the glass of wine in the store. Parking is big, but it is upstairs and you need to use the elevator to get to the store.

Yelp
Dear Whole Foods Market at Navy Yard Ballpark, This delusional and rude demeanor male employee who works at the meat area is very disrespectful and has no customer service. Please advise him on how to treat customers; if he is delusional please have him go seek medical help with a professional, Thank you!

Yelp
I'm lucky to have several whole foods locations in the DMV. The location near the ballpark is not on my radar, except they have an Amazon locker (aka employees scanning barcodes and handing out packages). This location has a nice produce section. (Aldi is cheaper and often just as good) If you like plant based items, there are many to choose from. You can park free for 90 minutes, as long as you buy something.

Yelp
So a few remarks because I am used to the Whole Foods stores in Miami but I noted some pretty interesting things that this one had that ours doesn't which should be implemented at the one in Coral Gables: 1) An Açaí Bowl machine...like whoever thought of that was a genius but I just wish it said what the base mix is because I know sometimes they put banana in it at the places I've had Açaí bowls and sometimes people are allergic to bananas. I'm not, it's just preference but still I think it's so ingenious to have that there and to offer toppings. 2) They had wine, even lower priced wines showcased behind a glass display case. I was impressed by that. It made my wine perusing that much more exciting enough though I ended up not getting any. 3) The best part (which is always my favorite part) is going to the self serve cookie station. It has been at least five years since I have come across a Whole Foods that has the shortbread checkerboard cookie in stock and I've been waiting for the Miami store to bring it back and DC had it. I was shocked, ecstatic, and elated all at once so of course I had to get one, or two, or three, which turned into 6. Oops. They also had some other interesting cookies like a pistachio shortbread and a white chocolate covered Oreo which was super good. See photos but I hope the Miami Whole Foods takes note of it;) It would make for a cookie lover's dream to see these in Miami. I can't speak to parking, but I can say we needed up taking some of the hot food to go like the Sweet Chili Rock Shrimp and the Asian Noodles and they were both delicious and packed with flavor. Was pretty impressed for it being Whole Foods. It was like restaurant quality items.

Yelp
I just had a recent terrible experience when I visited this whole foods. I consider this whole foods to be a cut above other grocery stores merely for its location and contemporary construction design compared to others in the area. Unfortunately, the only thing that could mess this location up is terrible customer service by employees allowed and permitted by management. I walked into this location last Thursday night around 9:40 p.m., 2.15.24. I decided to use the restroom. Since I'm a regular customer to this location, I'm very familiar with the style and location of the several restroom stalls. I paused to check myself out in the mirror. As I proceeded to open the door to the restroom stall of my choice right next to the mirror, I chose this one because of its size compared to the other restrooms, an employee with a very nasty attitude was coming out of the restroom at the same time just as I was reaching for the door knob to enter. This mean spirited employee surprisingly for literally no reason insulted me and disrespected me and called me "weird". Basically calling me a weirdo. smh. I mean, if I surprised someone coming around a corner. The normal response would be to say excuse me and to keep walking. wow. I found out later the name this employee is Sarena and the manager, one of the managers on duty was named Martha. I asked Manager Martha can I file an incident report she said they dont do that which is remarkable. The unfortunate thing as well about this customer service experience is I consider myself to be a regular customer now for years at this location so I know this employee has seen me shopping there several times before and the only thing this whole foods representative has said to me is not "Welcome to wholefoods how can I help you" but you're a weirdo, terrible. Is this the kind of professional customer service regular customers deserve and is this kind of behavior reflective of the customer service values of whole foods?

Yelp
I love it how you can not only shop here for groceries, but also grab a slice of pizza or two and a drink and sit down and relax and eat in the cafe (and much more). Very convenient! It was my first time at this particular location, but I love the consistency...

Yelp
This is the absolute WORST Whole Foods Market ever. I have shopped at WFM for decades, and never have I had such a consistently poor experience with food purchased there. Rotten/molded produce, spoiled fish/seafood, and expired products on the shelves are the norm at this location. Just today, I purchased crackers that I didn't realize were expired and rancid until I got to the car and opened them to eat on the way home. The alleged "freshly made" Sonoma chicken salad I purchased for $13/lb was full of rotten grapes and very hard chicken. I don't know if the chicken had gone bad or was just badly overcooked. This is just unconscionable. Customers trust in the quality of WFM's high priced food, but this place has caused me to lose trust completely. Today was the last straw, I will return to this location at H St, Washington, DC.

Yelp
Freshest groceries in town! Unlike at many other DC grocery stores, Whole Foods actually keeps their shelves stocked -- and DOESN'T have gross "expires-today-or-tomorrow" boxed salads or milk on the shelf that you have to watch out for. I've had consistently good experience at this store. Staff are helpful; the ready-to-eat hot bar, salad bar, and olive bar are all good; there's always a nice variety of in-season vegetables; they reliably have organic milk on hand; and they stock great snacks like Mom Pops (kid-sized popsicles) and awesome Thai chili cashews. Bonuses: delicious PLNT burger in the store, to solve both dinner and groceries in one trip; and a nice amount of bike racks near the entrances. Minus one star because they don't carry some of our favorite "mainstream" brands like Heinz 57 ketchup, plus the usual disclaimer about prices. But the prices are not shocking -- you know organic costs a bit more. And the 365 store brand helps.

Yelp
I went to buy some veggies at this WF store in the Cap Hill area. On Thursday Oct 26 at around 330-4pm. Cashier # 5 . The total was $2.89. My left hand - finger has 5 stitches in it from an accident, I took out 2 dollars out of my wallet and the found another doller in my wallet. I put the three dollars on counter. The Chasier just stood there ignoring me completely. She stares away and start tapping the counter with my garage parking ticket while staring away and not looking at me, this goes on for 3 to 4 min. So finally she looks at me and I tell her , the money is on the counter . She then says I'm rude and I explained I'm injured. She demanded I pick the money from the counter and hand it to her - place it in her hand. I said No , I can't . Again, she said your rude. I then said to her no your the one that is rude. I asked her for her name and she refused to give it to me. I then asked her for the manager and she refused to give me the managers name. I went to customer service and asked asked for the manager to file a complaint. It's just redicoulous that the cashier demands you put the money in her hand. I won't be shopping at Whole Foods again ! Lame service, Lame employees, rude and unprofessional, total negative attitude. You would think after paying really expensive prices for food , you would think they would have at least professional employment standards instead of hiring rude and uneducated people.

Yelp
Terrible, slow service. Often long lines with de registers open. 25 minutes to check out this afternoon. Hate going here.

Yelp
This has been my primary Whole Foods location since they opened. My relationship with the store has been volatile, I have to say that towards the beginning their customer service was very poor, but happy to report that I have noticed changes. I also appreciate that they have finally established the self-check out machines, which are prevalent at other locations but it took them years to implement them here. It just makes life a lot more convenient.

Yelp
Ordered a large cheese pizza for takeout - it was under-cooked and goopy - put it in the oven at home and the crust is still soft.

Yelp
Being an avid "Juicer" & "Juice Head".....Whole Foods has become one of my go-to stores for fresh fruits, veggies, & greens......I Safeway/Giant the rest! New location, with just about every inch of the store square-footage covered in great grocery, produce and local finds. This Whole Foods is not your ordinary grocery store. It is a hip, more open store floor plan and market that caters to everything the "casual health nut shopper"...like myself...would want. The layout is much fairly large and stays true to the WF brand in their offerings and even more! Even more interesting and a huge standout is the libation -- wine department! Wine bottles for days and a huge selection to choose from. This WF gets a plus and " boozed-up thank-you!" high-five for sure! Also, I noticed this location offered an acai bowl bar....something I haven't seen around in any grocery store....as a matter of fact. Not to mention the selection of produce was huge and really fresh. I can attest that the produce is much better and minimally processed than most grocery stores in the area. Heck, the beets and carrots were so fresh...that they looked like they were just plucked out of my backyard and were still covered in dirt! Talk about farm to table....Way to go Whole Foods. lol In addition to the standard WF offerings, there's also a huge hot food/salad bar area; including cheese market, butcher, deli, seafood market and bakery. Check this!....There was even a "dry-aged" meat selection and offering too. How cool is that!? I must come back and try a slab of fresh cut --dry aged rib-eye (bone-in...please) from this station. My mouth is watering just thinking about it....making that slab of meat talk on my 80 yr. old skillet, passed down to me from my Grandma! In all, I really dig this store. The customer service is very good and the staff was very friendly --eager to help. One of the best places for good produce and an excellent selection of grocery items. So....go & enjoy yourself at this location...the acai bowl, buffet station and coffee shop is worth it alone. The produce selection is expansive and selections change often with the season....which is always a plus. Whole Foods may not be the cheapest, but I respect their game for providing quality products and carving out their own niche market that cater's those in search of clean eats or meeting special dietary needs.

Yelp
This Whole Foods is pretty reliable, though they're often low on produce when I visit. I recommend checking out their circular or app so you can take advantage of their sales and deals. This isn't my go-to grocery store, but I stop in for specific products every once in a while. They have pretty good bread products and their store made tortilla chips are SO good!

Yelp
If you live in Navy Yard, there's something major you must overlook before falling in love with this place. When you walk through the main doors, you'll see the first of many misinformed and out of touch posters that brand the neighborhood "South Capitol Hill" (one sign even uses the hash tag #SoCap- horrors!). There's no such neighborhood in Washington, D.C. suggesting Whole Foods is like a distant relative who thinks you're still stuck in the third grade. If you can overlook this MAJOR blunder (or Whole Foods smartens up and replaces the signs), you're in for a real treat. In between South Capitol and Navy Yard Metros, it's in the bottom floor of a new condo building. Among the usual fixings of Whole Foods (beautiful produce, organic food, a hot food bar, etc), here's what to look forward to at this location: 1) An outdoor beer garden/patio with plenty of seating. 2) A pizza bar in the back. 3) A self-pour cold brew bar. 4) Make-your-own acai bowl bar. 5) Self-pour beer and wine stations. Yep, not bad, Whole Foods. If you are an Amazon Prime member, you'll get discounts on certain items. Welcome to Navy Yard...er....I mean #SoCap, Whole Foods.

Yelp
I've always been a huge fan of Whole Foods, and this recently-opened location confirms it even more! They have your usual bakery, beer/wine, cheese, coffee/tea, flowers/floral, meat/poultry, produce, seafood, and body/health sections, in addition to a hot and cold prepared food bar. I really liked the 'dry-aged beef' window by the meat section - looks yummy! All the produce are neatly arranged, and everything is kept neat and orderly. Don't forget to check out Philly Wing Fry, Chef Kwame's new eatery that offers delicious hoagies, wings, waffle fries, and housemade drinks! There were plenty of tables available, up for grabs, for those who would like to dine-in, with access to eco-friendly wares and drinks. The staff are all helpful and friendly! If you have kiddos, there's a cute little 'food stand' set-up, filled with coloring sheets, crayons, sticker sheets, fruit snacks, and fruit juice boxes! Don't fret with the metered street parking; the attached garage offers 2 hours free with validation. Due to this place being a new location, it may not pop-up on your GPS; it's located off of H and New Jersey. +2-hour free parking with validation +Philly Wing Fry location! +friendly staff

Yelp
I moved here from Colorado and the WF there (all of the ones near me anyway) always had breakfast food items on the hot bar daily. Is there a reason why this one doesn't, or do I just go there every week when they're just not serving it? Also, come on, guys, let's keep the shelves stocked.

Tommy A.

Yelp
Had beef, mushrooms and mashed potatoes from hot bar and it was extremely salty. NOT healthy at all. It was no way to eat them and had to trash my lunch. It wasn't my first time food experience in this location and never been satisfied with their food.
google avatar

Yelp
I'm not sure what is happening at this Whole Foods. But I consistently wait double the amount of time for a cashier then I do shopping. The picture attached is a 33 minute wait time. Pathetic. If you're not going to hire people within the community to work, then establish self check out.

Yelp
Great cold and hot bars. Good customer service. Fair prices. My go to dinner spot when I don't feel like cooking

Yelp
Good selection, nice layout, and a wine bar?! Lines get a little long sometimes and checkout area can be crowded.

Yelp
Welcome to the neighborhood Whole Foods! I feel like I have been waiting on this opening for about a decade and am happy to see it's finally here. Though I don't love that they are saying they are located in "South Capitol Hill"...just accept that you are in Navy Yard and Navy Yard is a totally acceptable place to be!But anyway, great opening day with peppy staff and shiny new things. Not much different than others Whole Foods other than being brand spanking new which is always nice. They do have a little outpost in the prepared food section run by Top Chef alum Kwame Onwuachi (of Kith and Kin) called Philly Wing Fry. The sell cheesesteaks and chicken wings. I ordered up a 7" cheesesteak ($12) and it was delicious. VERY rich- it's composed of dry aged beef, provolone, roasted garlic mayo, pickled inions and caramelized onions. I honestly could only eat half but It was amazing- super high quality ingredients. This may be true in all Whole Foods but they had breakfast pizza. And it was amazing. ALSO, there is a wine bar at the entrance that you can order up and drink while shopping. YES PLEASE! Good amount of seating and a great outdoor seating area with big screen TVs.
google avatar

Yelp
I live in the neighborhood and probably go to this Whole Foods too often since it is ridiculously convenient. Aside from the HORRENDOUS marketing decision to call it the "South Capitol Hill" location--which is simply not a neighborhood, no matter whom you ask--this is a great store. Pros: -The aisles are laid out logically -Fresh produce -Amazon Prime sales -The express checkout here feels much faster than at other stores -They have a pour-your-own-wine-and-walk-around-the-store bar! -There's also an açai bar--sooo yuppie -I've found some regular household items, like cough drops, that cost less here than at CVS or Harris Teeter -The hot bar, clearly Cons: -That ridiculous "South Capitol Hill" thing...it is the Navy Yard Whole Foods, howbowdah -I find it really annoying that they don't have aisle numbers...someone can't just say "It's on the right side of aisle eight" and you spend more time walking around as a result

Yelp
Like the first to review, Lindsay, I also came to Whole Foods for Philly Wing Fry today. With my unexpected day off, I figured why not stop over. I actually had no idea this Whole Foods was so brand new. I'm not usually in this area unless it's for a Nats game, but the addition of Philly Wing Fry could definitely get me here more often. But I'll review them on their yelp page. As for this location, it's huge, bright, lots of to-go food options, FREE PARKING and lots of open cashiers. Nice location They have a build your own avocado toast and I need to come back wearing my millennial af shirt and make some millennial toast

Yelp
Let me preface this with the fact that everyone knows Whole Foods is more expensive than other grocery stores. That being said, the store is incredibly clean and has so many unique offerings. First off, parking is very easy and free. They have really great premade options and hot bar food offerings, fresh produce, lots of cheeses, fresh juices and smoothies, and tons of meat alternatives. Before Covid they had a beer and wine bar and you could bring your drink with you while grocery shopping... love that. This has been my go to store for grocery shopping during quarantine!

Yelp
This is a new store and everything is nice and clean. My 2 star review is for their inventory control issues: 1) Please fire the person who is in charge of ordering salad. For 2 months, I've never managed to buy anything but arugula and spinach from here. 2) Paper bags with handles are also hard to find If they could sort these out, they deserve a better review. For me, running out of salad and paper bags is hard to understand. Update: After spending 10 minutes crafting an email per the business owners' request below, I received a standard your concern is important to us email. I am lowering my score from two stars to one. I wasted my time for no reason... Escalating this problem is not exactly my responsibility especially if there will not be any resolutions.

Eugenia J.

Yelp
I have gotten old produce from this location twice now - first garlic and smelly bagged kale that I put in the trash right away, and now onions. I did not write a negative review after the first incident because things happen, and as a longtime WF shopper, one negative experience did not seem sufficient to write such a review. After the second time, however, I have to say this is not what I am used to from WF, so I am very disappointed.

Yelp
The big new Whole Foods (and it has to be one of the bigger ones I've seen) is a tad confusing, because there's another big new Whole Foods on H Street NE, in the H Street neighborhood, but this one is in H Street SE in what might broadly be referred to as the Navy Yard area. This store has opened as many of the massive new apartment buildings under construction are not ready yet, but it nonetheless seems to have found customers. Despite the signs reminding us that Amazon Prime customers get an extra discount on sale items, there was a remarkable paucity of sales when I visited. And despite the store having ample checkout lanes, only two of six express registers were manned on the Sunday I dropped in (up to three just as I left). Either save me some more money or hire some more people I say. I struggled to find anything worth buying. The selection is all the upmarket natural products you'd expect, but unlike in some other places I've lived, there are plenty of alternatives to WF. The vegetables were unimpressive here, and I'd sooner sample the local farmer's markets or head up to MOM's which is not so far away, but is locally owned.

Yelp
I have mixed ideas about this WFM. In one respect it's generally clean and well stocked in spite of it's location on the dirty H Street corridor, which I completely dislike. I hate H Street and wish that restaurants and basically anything desirable would stop locating to this area of town. However this WFM has parking. The parking does fill up on weekends or busy times, so keep that in mind. I have never had to validate a ticket yet, but I'm sure that will be a thing soon. The store itself is clean--worth commenting on twice because other stores along H Street are not. I'm looking at you, Giant, you are disgusting. In view of that place, WFM is a gleaming gem. This store has an upstairs eating area which I have never visited. It also has an area to eat along the windows at the front. They do a brisk lunch business and draw from much of the East side of the Hill. I'm knocking a star off for the parking situation because I think the garage is uncomfortable to park in. It's always disorganized and carts are strewn about everywhere. I think it's a dangerous garage. But then again, I'm like the only person there who doesn't work for Amazon most of the time when I visit, so...I'm the only person who still does my own grocery shopping around here, ha ha! I'm kidding of course, but sometimes it feels that way since the hot food is really the busiest part of the store.

Yelp
This Whole Foods could give a Russian grocery store during periods of Soviet rationing a run for its money when it comes to bare shelves, out-of-stocks, lines to check out, and overall customer service. Want fresh thyme? Good luck! Want produce that doesn't look like it has been run over a couple of times by the delivery truck, again, good luck! Want basic necessities that should be the staple of any grocery store, e.g., pie crust, again, good luck. The produce section is a disaster. The dairy/eggs/butter section is hit or miss. Want a normal loaf of bread, well, that will take an act of g-d. The frozen food section has completely empty freezers and those that have food in them look like a scene from Frozen with all of the frost. I literally watched an employee chipping the frost buildup out of the freezers this evening while I was there. Please explain why there are empty shelves everywhere and why what remains on the shelves is in complete disarray. A total mess. Supply issues were understandable a year ago, but, now? A product that is there one day mysteriously disappears the next with no explanation. This place gives new meaning to the term "shit show." Not sure what is going on with this Whole Foods, and WFM in general, but, the product quality, cleanliness, and customer service that used to be the hallmark of WFM is nowhere to be seen at this store.

Yelp
I've come here a couple of times and in general, it's a great addition to the neighborhood. All the staff here are very friendly. I had an especially good experience returning an item and getting sandwiches made in the deli. They have great selection on so many different items, but the footprint of the store feels a lot smaller than other locations in the city (not sure if it's actually smaller). The sushi options are also very impressive. The Amazon app...kind of stupid to go through effort to scan app on a $70+ order and only get 50 cents off. If the savings are that bad, why even bother? Harris Teeter is a much better value. Also, the coffee bar - chai lattes were not good. Would stay away from that, or instead just walk down the street to Lot 38 for coffee/tea. Free 90 min parking while you shop is amazing. So there's good and bad, but overall a nice experience. I'll be back.

Yelp
There's a really cool guy named Carl who works here he went out of his way to help us find a pretty obscure ingredient we needed for our recipe! Thanks, Carl!

Yelp
I visited for the first time (as I tend to do delivery through Amazon Prime) and I was disappointed by the lack of customer service. As someone that worked in retail throughout college I learned what good and what bad customer service feels like and I was simply shocked at the terrible customer service from my cashier. I honestly think I was much more pleasant and friendlier than my cashier..she looked completely fed up and tired of being there....it's just not a good look for Whole Foods at all...

Yelp
Went there to get my lunch at 12:30 pm. There was no chicken, no beef, no fish or even no Tofu on the hot bar, only Vegetable, salad, potato, and pasta. I called the manager to find out why there is no food at lunch time? He answered : "we only cook what ever is on our refrigerator" I was shocked when I hear that answer from Whole Foods Manager. You ether need to close your kitchen or make sure have food on the table since people coming there for lunch or dinner.

Yelp
A arrogant, selfish man walks into the store with no mask on and proceed as far as the bread section. Security guard is on his phone not even looking up. He is told that this idiot is trying to kill us all from exposure. He then runs behind him and gives him a mask and just walk away. Totally slack operation. If you want to live or have children or elderly ones... stay out of this place!

Yelp
Writing here to review the bar space. Great they have this bar. Nice ambience. However, the wine menu is out-of-date (October menu still up in Dec) and a number of wines on that lost also not stocked. Also, I have asked to use the wine serving aperatus twice and each time the bartender didn't know how to use it. The bartender is also playing music on his smartphone and taking occasional calls on speaker phone.

Yelp
This is not my favorite WF at all for several reasons. However: I'd give 10 stars solely for the Baristas. Try the coffee bar! Justice and the Asian barista (apologies: I've forgotten her name) are 100% the best at customer service and their coffee making. They always get the coffee correct on specialty coffees consistently and with a smile. Despite the other coffee places in the area, they're definitely #1. I pass at least 4 other places walking here and keep walking no matter what!

Yelp
Never had a bad experience at Whole Foods in Tampa Florida, but I was so disappointed at the staff in this store, customer service isn't a priority, needs retraining asap.

Yelp
PLEASE MAKE IT A HABIT OF CHECKING YOUR RECEIPTS EVERY TIME YOU SHOP AT WHOLEFOODS AND BEFORE YOU LEAVE THE STORE! I buy Atlantic Salmon by the pound on a regular basis, but never checked my receipt until today. WHOLEFOODS IS RIPPING OFF CUSTOMERS AND THIS IS INTENTIONAL! I bought a pound and a half of salmon today in Washington, DC (Navy Yard). The ticket printed out read 1.48 lbs. for a little over $19 dollars. When I purchased my groceries and looked at my receipt, I noticed that I was charged over $32 dollars for a pound and a half of salmon. I went to the customer service counter to get charged the right amount. First the phone was ringing off the hook and the young lady trying to help me couldn't because she had no help at the counter. A line was forming and still no help for the young lady. When she tried to refund my money, she experienced some issues and tried to give me a gift card in exchange. I demanded my money back. When she finally was able to give me a refund, she offered me the salmon for free, but I just left it at the counter. I remember a few years ago at another Wholefoods (Silver Spring, MD) when I use to purchase single Wholefoods 365 sodas ($.99) but did not notice until purchases later that Wholefoods had their registers set to charge you for a single soda at the price for a case of sodas (for $3.99). No wonder Wholefoods is wealthy: Less employees multitasking for less pay and customers being OVERPRICED! PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD AND CHECK YOUR RECEIPTS BEFORE LEAVING WHOLEFOODS!

Yelp
Finally, the Navy Yard/ Waterfront area has another grocery store, but you might be confused by the store's baffling marketing. "Capitol Hill South" is not a real place, folks. DC grocery stores always seem to open in a honeymoon period where the staff is energized and everything is well-stocked, but usually that tapers off in a few months. Right now they are still in their grand opening phase, so let's see if it all lasts, but overall this is a gorgeous store with an incredible selection. I was impressed by all the speciality produce that I don't typically see at other stores. There's also lots of features for the local yuppies, like $11 build-your-own açaí bowls (I don't even know what an açaí bowl is) and build-your-own avocado toast. I liked all the demonstration stations throughout the store, and while I'm not a cheese guy, the cheese department looked pretty impressive. This is not your typical Safeway by any means. Despite being a brand-new building, the architects must have never designed a parking garage before because the tight entrance ramp defies design logic.

Yelp
LOVE THE STAFF HERE!!! They take pride in what they're doing and are willing to be patient and caring with the their attention and assistance. Hot barre and cold barre always have plenty of options. Agreed with the other reviews that sometimes they do run out of produce options by the time Sunday evening rolls around but I would guess its hard to estimate what the patterns will be for their stocking process. Options like bison meat, buffalo milk mozzarella, and even beyond meat, for those of us with extreme allergies, is also a huge plus!! Stoked to have them in the neighborhood.

Yelp
I have been waiting for this Whole Foods location to open since the announcement and it finally has opened its doors. The convenient location makes it easier to do small shopping trips instead of trekking to Harris Teeter. Not to mention, it's nice having another dining option since Justin's permanently closed (R.I.P). I have also noticed the wine pours accompanying shoppers through the aisles, which I'm sure has been a big attraction. I like that it never feels crowded, the people who work there are super friendly and always willing to help or answer questions. Welcome to Navy Yard!
