Who’s Got Soul Southern Grill Soul Food Restaurant from Chef Keith Kash Is Opening in Duluth, Georgia | Eater Atlanta

"Opening next month at 3580 Breckinridge Boulevard in Duluth, this fast-casual, counter-service Southern grill from chef Keith Kash—who grew up in Harlem and credits his Montgomery- and Raeford-born parents for his love of cooking—offers a "hybrid" approach to soul food that aims to deliver a healthier, authentic take on classics. The menu pairs staples like lamb chops, turkey wings, whiting filet dinners, and fried chicken with Southern-inspired salads, grilled and broiled vegetables and several vegan options. Seating is available inside and on a patio but will be limited during the pandemic; masks are required and online ordering for takeout will be offered. The interior features murals, including one by local artist Demont Pinder depicting the Harlem subway station near Kash’s childhood neighborhood. Open for lunch and dinner Tuesday through Sunday." - Beth McKibben

My ex had had this place while I was at work one day and it was so good to him that he saved me some because he felt like I had to try it. And I did. And it was so damn good. (He had catfish, mac, and greens). My friend and I were craving soul food and I remembered this place and suggested it. This food was so damn good it really don’t make no sense. I had the fried chicken and got it smothered (they put the gravy on the side which I appreciated), with greens, mac, and sweet potato soufflé. My friend got turkey wings, Mac, and cabbage. The food was so good we were just eating in silence. That’s when you know it’s good.

The food here is underwhelming. I had the chicken wings with macaroni and cheese and greens. The chicken wings were dry and the seasoning was bland even though they were clearly seasoned on the outside. The Mac and cheese was ok—it had a nice flavor and the greens were bland. I appreciate being able to get a plate like this locally, but for the price I expected good flavor. I would go back and try other things from the menu, though.

Today was my first time visiting Who’s Got Soul Southern Grill in Duluth and it was a wonderful experience! The food was delicious! My family and I ordered a variety of dishes and desserts and everything was flavorful and made with loved! I will definitely be going back! Pictured are the smothered pork chops, black eyed peas, and Mac and cheese.

Nice restaurant. Sides are great, meat particularly pork chops and fried chicken had no flavor. No seasoning. I went twice.

Had lunch with my wife. The salmon was freshly prepared and excellent, as were her sweet potatoes and pinto beans. My BBQ chicken was excellent, as was the yellow rice. The mac and cheese was so-so. The lemonaides were tasty and satisfying.

I was in town for work and this popped up as a popular place so I decided to check it out. I ordered the Oxtails dinner over rice, side of Mac n cheese and corn, and the peach cobbler. It was FANTASTIC!! Wish I had the time and the stomach to try more items.

The restaurant is small and quaint. Our booth accommodated 6 people. The buffet style allows you to see your options. Delicious southern style food!!! The portion sizes were huge. I had plenty to take home for later. My family and I will be back.

The food was cooked well, but lacked seasoning across the board. It’s very expensive and isn’t a chain restaurant, so we expected the flavor to be top tier. The fried catfish, fried chicken, rice w/ gravy and cabbage missed the mark. The staff was incredible and it was a wonderful environment. They just need to add adequate salt and spices to their food. With Popeyes being right across the street, it’s hard to justify selling a 2-piece chicken plate with premade sides for $18.
