From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was inviting, and the decor added an extra touch of elegance to the evening. The menu features a fantastic selection of steaks and seafood. Our waiteress Payton, truly elevated the experience. With a warm smile and expert knowledge of the menu, Payton made great recommendations and ensured our dining experience was flawless from start to finish. The service was attentive, but not overbearing. Highly recommend!

I attended a 50th Birthday dinner here for my friend last night and I had a blast. The service was TOP NOTCH! One manager (I believe her name was Sally) was going out of her way to find glue someone in our party that broke her shoe. Our waiter Blake didn't miss a beat considering it was such a large group. We never waited long or had to repeat when we needed something. The GM Daniel consistently checked in on us all evening to make sure everyone was happy. All the food and drinks were absolute perfection. I enjoyed my time so much I am calling Monday to book my birthday reservation here and canceling where I had already reserved.

Wicked Butcher is a very unique place to try out. The cocktails are on point and well presented. But I will point out a few things. You aren't able to order appetizers until everyone is ready to order their meal. I found it very odd for them to cut my rib eye into strips. Who does that??? Even though it was medium, the cut was cold, salty, and tasted charred. I'm not sure if that was because it was dried aged? My friend who ordered the rack of lamb was very disappointed. It basically came out raw. Although he didn't complain about it, he made several comments to the waiter, and nothing was done to correct or make him happy. We spent a good penny at this location for them to brush something off like that. It's unique, but in the future, if I come back, it will only be for drinks and appetizers, sides, and o' the free bread.

Lisa, I want to sincerely thank you and your team at Wicked Butcher for providing an incredible experience. The event was absolutely flawless. The food was delicious, the service impeccable, and the ambiance perfect. We'll definitely be back to enjoy more of your amazing dishes and the exceptional service. Thank you again for making the event so memorable!

Google
So I celebrated my 50th birthday on January 18, 2025 and I must say it was absolutely amazing. I had a party of 15 with a private room and Blake was our waiter and he was top tier just as well as the food and service. Daniel the manager was absolutely amazing as well and he made sure everyone was doing great. I recommend this restaurant. The service, the food, the ambiance was beautiful. Sally was also super amazing as well. Also they had mocktails as wel

Google
Wonderful Dining Experience! We had a fantastic meal here. The steak was absolutely delicious, cooked perfectly to my liking and full of flavor. The bread was fresh and amazing! The atmosphere was cozy, and the staff were friendly and attentive. I only had one very minor complaint, although the restaurant was half empty with no line, the hostess had us wait about 10 minutes to be seated. Still, the quality of food and service made for a really enjoyable evening. Highly recommend this spot for a great dining experience!

Google
The food and service here was top tier. Our waiter was Kenny and he was incredible. We were celebrating a milestone so upon arriving we were greeted with some complimentary bubbly. Once we sat down, it was very fast service. We tried the Restaurant Week prix fixe menu which had lots of great options to choose from. I had a few glasses of the Details Cab and highly recommend. Definitely will be going back!

Google
First class service. The shrimp were huge in the shrimp cocktail. The Yorkshire pudding (don’t know what y’all call it) was so light and fluffy and the charcoaled? black butter was unique. Of course, the steaks were cooked to perfection and love the torch used to melt the butter at the table

Angela C.

Yelp
My server was very knowledgeable about their food, very kind and definitely very attentive. The food was delicious and fresh, the drinks were amazing as well, and lastly the atmosphere was very calming. Had a great experience.

Yelp
My wife and I came here for New Year's and we were blown away. The service was phenomenal and the dining room was designed beautifully with plenty of mood lighting. We had a great appetizer with two great cocktails. We ordered the Tomahawk for our Main course with Mac and Cheese along with Brussel Sprouts. The steak was cooked to perfection and the sides were great. Overall 10/10 we will definitely be back

Yelp
We had seen wicked butcher on yelps list of best steakhouses and wanted to try it out! We were celebrating my birthday and it was very nice that they brought us champagne for the occasion! I ordered the ribeye and my girlfriend got a fish dish. I also asked for the triple butter on top of my steak. The steak was very good and tasty and had a nice crust and my girlfriend like her dish as well! The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is our waitress was a little snippy and had a bit of an attitude and they didn't have two dishes that we wanted to order but other than that everything was very good! Also, the cake that they brought out for my birthday was surprisingly delicious! Normally these kinds of cake are just eh but this was very tasty as was our actual dessert we ordered (chocolate cake)! I would recommend!

Yelp
Wicked Butcher has been bookmarked in my mind for a long time. It was pleasure to finally try the restaurant. Better late than never! On my latest trip to Dallas, my coworker and I flew in on a Wednesday afternoon. I initially made reservations for 7pm on Open Table, but we ended up arriving much earlier than expected and couldn't wait to eat. I wasn't able to modify my reservation for an earlier time on the app, so I called into the restaurant to see if they could accommodate us at 6:15pm. I also asked if Wicked Spoon would be OK if we came in our casual attire. Not only was the receptionist able to move our reservation up, but she also assured us to come as we were and we'd be welcomed. That being said, the place was more upscale than not, so err on the side of smart casual. The restaurant interior was very cool. Wicked Butcher calls itself a modern steakhouse. I get that... but is "classy cowboy" a thing? That's honestly how I can best describe the interior. Loved how the saddles around the dining area popped against the deep blue colored walls. Can't get over the Prada cowboys at the foyer. It's those touches of detail that make this restaurant stand out to me. Overall service was excellent. Food came out in a timely manner, and we had an awesome server. Our waiter was friendly and attentive, and he did not disappoint with his recommendations (I got the Pony Up cocktail and Sea Bass entree thanks to him). Furthermore, Wicked Butcher really knows how to elevate your experience with things like amuses bouches and mignardises. I had no idea these would be parts of our meal, which were nice surprises. I enjoyed everything I ate. Our amuse bouche were arancini bites with a truffle mayo. I'm a huge fan of yorkshire pudding, so naturally I loved that we got a popover as our table bread. It came with a side of rosemary honey butter with onion salt. Every component of the Ginger Miso Chilean Sea bass was well executed. The sea bass was beautifully cooked - crispy on the outside but moist and flaky on the inside. Loved the flavorful curry nage, the fluffy basmati rice, and the cashews that attributed a much needed crunchy texture to the dish. Though I didn't order dessert, Wicked Butcher came through with the affogato I asked for. I don't even know if it's on the menu but they were able to satisfy my request. They also gave us bite-sized double chocolate chip cookies as our mignardises. My only complaint, hence the 4 stars instead of 5, is that the place is so loud. My coworker and I could hardly hear our server, let alone hear our own conversing. We both felt like we were yelling across the table. I'm sure every other table felt like they had to do the same, because it got progressively loud during our dinner.

Yelp
Foodie Alert! I had the opportunity to dine at the Wicked Butcher for a friend's birthday dinner, and it was such a vibe! We started off with a complimentary appetizer, Arancini (Italian Fried Risotto). Those little rice balls were so flavorful! I wish they offered those as a purchasable appetizer. I ordered the wedge salad and the Rack of Lamb. The wedge salad was okay; it was a bit bland, and I think it was missing red onions. However, the Rack of Lamb was phenomenal! The flavor burst through every bite, and I tried to eat slowly to prolong the amazing experience. We also ordered sides for the table: Mac & Cheese, Brussels sprouts, and Creamed Spinach. Overall, everything was delicious. It's a very nice upscale steakhouse with great service, cocktails, and food! I would rate WB a 4/5. So go check them out and tell them Ms. Hope sent you.

Jimmy K.

Yelp
We decided to do a guy's dinner her recently and it did not disappoint. We received a complimentary glass of champagne to begin the meal as well as amuse-bouche. We started with the steak tartare. Perfect for our party of 5 as it came with 5 cones of great flavor. The burrata was tasty. The complementary bread was similar to a Yorkshire pudding. Airy and fluffy. The butter that came with it was phenomenal. For the main course we had the tomahawk and porterhouse. Both were dry aged and cooked to perfection. Awesome flavor and enough for everyone to get a good portion. For sides we had the mac and bleu cheese, brussel sprouts, mushrooms and robuchon potatoes. The smoking gun was an excellent cocktail. They did not do a complimentary dessert for our birthday boy, but we had an excellent experience nonetheless.

Claudia C.

Yelp
Visited for my birthday on a Saturday. Definitely recommend a reservation! $5 validated valet The complimentary courses add a wonderful touch (welcome drink, arancini, bread service). We started with the steak tartare, which are served in cones which lessens the serving size but still good. After a long wait, we had the surf and turf and the 16oz New York strip. The surf and turf is amazing and the lobster tail is massive, however we agreed the ny strip was tough and lesser quality. We received a comped dessert, the chocolate tart is delicious but note it does come with peanut. They also went ahead and gave us a discount on the NY strip, so that salvaged the meal. Lastly, the interior is nice but sitting in the booth was much lower than my partner in his chair and the women's bathroom is poorly laid out. The mouthwash is a nice touch though. It's not really a standout steakhouse, may or may not come back but not anytime soon considering it's the same price point as many others but the food quality is lacking. Service is amazing though!

Yelp
We had a large party of 15 there for a birthday & they were incredibly accommodating! To take care of a large party like that & still be calm, professional and kind is a big deal in restaurants. Their whole team was attentive, sharp and on point with our many requests. I know that was not easy to do and yet they did so with a smile. The food was superb. I had the chilean Sea-bass and was so impressed. The flavors were incredible and the creativity and the beauty of the dish was lovely. Sally Evans took great care of us & her server was fantastic. I even pulled him aside to tell him what a great job he was doing given that our party was so large and I knew it was no easy task. The patio is gorgeous too, and I can't wait to spend more time there! This is now going to be my go to date night spot or for any big celebratory events!

Michae A.

Yelp
Wanted to love this place but was sadly underwhelmed. The service is phenomenal, the assistant manger greeted us with a champagne that was lovely. The bartenders went above and beyond with the service and made sure we were taken care of. The lackluster was the entrees. The standouts that I will recommend were the following appetizers - popover bread - tenderloin hummus

Steph J.

Yelp
Mikayla was absolutely adorable, attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. The service was great. The ambiance was perfect for date night. My filet mignon was just how I like it...medium. I don't have any complaints. I'll definitely be back!

Scott S.

Yelp
This place is fantastic! We stopped in before a show at the Majestic Theater, which is just a block away. The staff was very friendly, and the food was excellent--as in some of the best steak you will ever have excellent! We were given complimentary glasses of champagne, risotto balls, and at dessert some mini chocolate chip cookies. I love it when restaurants do that sort of thing as it is unexpected and very classy. The steaks we ordered were cooked perfectly to our individual tastes, and again, I cannot overstate just how good the food was. Oh, and they validate parking. Overall this place has just become one of my new favorites for high end steak houses!

Sean L.

Yelp
Everything about our dining experience was great. Very friendly and accommodating staff that made my girlfriend's birthday dinner special! The sea bass was phenomenal and the dressed oysters were very flavorful. Overall this was a 10/10 experience for us, even though they were out of their beef Wellington. We will be back!

Nasrin A.

Yelp
The aesthetic was very classy and dim. The food was not flavorful unfortunately, the dishes gave performance but were very bland and not tasty honestly. Kind of a disappointment for a 3 course meal, not sure if the chef was just rushing to feed these customers but some seasonings doesn't hurt..

Daniel M.

Yelp
Came in for lunch with a friend around 1:15pm on Wednesday and unfortunately we were not greeted as we walked in. We waited a while for a host or waiter to greet and seat us. No one came and we ended up leaving. I'll have to come back and give this place a try because the vibe seemed very nice and the open displayed kitchen was very cool. Maybe next time Wicked Butcher

Stacey P.

Yelp
Oh my, where to begin. Let's start with the complimentary gigantic popovers, and additional one-bite appetizer, as well as a glass of bubbly. Who does that these days? Heck, you can't get a saltine cracker in a restaurant. The sever even came around with a tray of lemon and lime slices for your water. Our steaks were cooked to perfection, and the sides were just as delicious. Wicked Butcher has a contemporary feel with touches of the old west. Hands down, it was the best cut of beef I've had in a very long time!

Dolores K.

Yelp
We had an event at The Majestic and heard buzz about this new place and had to try it out. I'm so glad we did. Walking in gives the ambiance of elevation, fine dining, but without a stuffy feel at all. The windows to look in at the oysters getting prepared expertly really set the tone for the evening. We sat down at our booth. Our waiter came by and greeted us and gave us a rundown of the restaurant and a tablet for the drink menu and regular food menus. As we were looking over the menus, we were greeted with two complimentary glasses of sparkling wine, Arancinis, and popovers. Excellent touch. The wine was excellent. Arancini was perfect temperature and texture. I do not like white truffle oil at all, and was nervous at the mention of it sitting on top of a white truffle oil aioli, but luckily they weren't heavy handed with it at all. Popovers were prepared perfectly and while they were served with butter, they did not need them at all. The cocktails ordered were Smoking Gun and the Salted Manhattan. Both were prepared expertly and the flavors were very balanced. Highly recommended both. Having studied the menu for a few days beforehand, my SO knew he was going to get the beef Wellington, and I knew I was going to get the 8oz filet and share the Cacio e Pepe side. Unfortunately, that side was no longer available, and we pivoted to the 3 Cheese Mac and Cheese. The Caesar salad had the unfortunate white truffle oil included. So, we both passed on ordering a salad, which was disappointing. When our steaks arrived, our waiter asked us to check the temps. I ordered my steak medium plus, and the beef wellingtons are only served at Medium rare. Both were cooked to the exact temperature desired. We have been to a lot of steakhouses in Texas and other states. I have to say that was by far the absolute BEST filet I've ever had. It was so tender, juicy, and seasoned the right amount. My SO said his Wellington was "delicious, buttery, and beefy within an excellent puff pastry." That is high praise coming from him. The 3 cheese mac and cheese was okay. I'm a bit particular about mac and cheese and found the noodles to be a tad overcooked and cheese flavor underwhelming. However, my SO thoroughly enjoyed it. For dessert we decided to try the Wicked Sundae, and it was worth every calorie. Chocolate and vanilla ice creams topped with hot fudge, brownie chunks, caramel corn, candied pecans, caramel fudge, whipped cream, and a cherry. I am still dreaming about it today. Overall, we absolutely enjoyed our dinner there. The food, atmosphere, and service were fantastic. Cannot wait to go back again.

Patricia N.

Yelp
Dare I say one of the best meals I've ever had in North America. Mykala was our sever and she was phenomenal with great suggestions. Also loved the chic decor with saddles on the wall. Must Haves: steak tartare, hamachi crudo, burrata, tomahawk (wet aged in butter and also dry-aged), Beef Wellington (epic!), corn creme brûlée, Robouchon potatoes, popover OK: mushrooms, Brussels sprouts, desserts (chocolate fudge and olive oil)

Sara G.

Yelp
The Wicked Butcher is within the Comerica Bank Tower in downtown Dallas. I'm going to call the ambiance cowboy and farm ranch art deco. Its coloring is sleek navy with a dramatic bar and interchanging art/designer versus cowboy wall coverings. Wicked Butcher boasts a menu by Culinary Director Richard Triptow, replicating the success of its Fort Worth sister restaurant. I had the wedge salad unique with pecans and the hamachi unique with oranges and roe. I also had the sea bass with miso and basmati rice. All were very good. They have popover bread for bread service with rosemary butter and I could have eaten maybe 5 of these. Despite setbacks from the pandemic and unexpected mishaps like burst pipes, the team led by restaurateur Nafees Alam persevered and was patient to finally bring this modern steakhouse to fruition.

Nick V.

Yelp
Food - Excellent. The small plates brought to the table were fantastic. The beef hummus was spot-on. The alcoholic drinks were very tasty and not overpowering, nor weak either. I had a ribeye (like usual) and it was excellent. Very flavorful without being salty. Just the right tenderness. This was probably a more favorable ribeye steak I had. Service - Fairly standard for this type of establishment. Well attentive. Not too chatty and very direct (at least my waitress) but that's more of my preference tbh. Ambiance - Classy and busy. Something you like to see at places like this. I will say a slight con would be you're in very close proximity to other parties. If you're looking for something more intimate and private, you may have to request to sit at a tabletop. My party sat on the back wall you'll see on images. Not a bad place to sit, just a bit more crowded. 5/5 because the food and drinks were delicious. Pros over cons. I just wish this place would offer a bit more spacing and privacy.

Emily G.

Yelp
I have heard great things about Wicked Butcher in Fort Worth, but the drive is not going to happen on a Saturday. So I was very excited about their opening in downtown! Starting off with the hostesses. Now, they really set the tone for a fantastic night. They were engaged, fun, welcoming, and definitely a highlight of starting the evening off well. We were greased with complimentary bubbles and led to the bar where we wanted to have a drink before dinner. The DJ was setting up, the energy was good, and the decor was beautiful. Just be warned- they don't mess with the drinks and they are strong (my compliments to the bartender!) Dinner, I got the beef Wellington and omg. It was so good. The pastry was light and flaky and I was so happy to see this dish on the menu. The whole dinner was fantastic, although not inexpensive. My grandmother always said you can rate a restaurant based on their bathrooms. And she was a smart lady so I willl continue to use her rules and give an enthusiastic recommendation for Wicked Butcher, with an extra star for their fabulous bathrooms.

Bradley M.

Yelp
Came here really excited based on the reviews. Here is the lowdown. Recommend making reservations before going. Cocktails were really good. I had the Connery and it was stiff as a board. Enjoyed a bottle of wine from Oregon. Food I will say was disappointing. Steaks were nothing special. Lacked flavor and mine wasn't cooked to temperature even after having to send mine back for being over cooked then came out undercooked. The truffle butter was really good. Sides were again just average. The shining star of the whole visit was our sever Alyssa. She was given a really bad hand as they were short staffed it appeared but she handled it perfectly. She was very friendly and made a great connection with our table prior to getting slammed. I saw her even bussing tables. It reminded me of my days at chilis. She is a rockstar so management please take note. Sadly I wouldn't come back here and wouldn't recommend it for food for the price. I would just go for a cocktail and to hang with Alyssa.

Yakentha C.

Yelp
This place is a gem! The place is a vibe and the food and management service matched up to the hype. We ordered the sea bass and it was literally AMAZING! The fish just melts in your mouth and it's paired with a yellow curry sauce that is so well balanced and executed. I've been back for the sea bass twice. The service is awesome and management is attentive and welcoming. I always think a stellar customer execution of guest service is when you can actively see management helping the floor and checking in on guests. We will definitely be back and may try the branzino next.

Yelp
Wicked Butcher was a superb dining experience in Downtown Dallas, combining expertly prepared comfort food and intriguing, uncommon flavors.  We started our meal with complementary champagne and a raspberry mock-tail for the girls.  A truffle appetizer was a good palette opener, but our meal really started with a robust wedge salad and a Caesar salad served with a very healthy serving of Parmesan cheese. For drinks we tried a grapefruit lemonade, the "smoking gun" old fashioned (complete with real smoke table side) and a Shirley Temple.  The smoking gun was a visual treat, though the smokey flavor faded pretty quickly, but overall excellent with a nice citrus bite.  Rosemary popovers filled the space between appetizers and mains with a "water flavor tray" of lemons, limes and cucumbers as a pleasant extra touch. For sides we tried the mac & cheese and creamed spinach.  Both of which were savory and full of flavor, adding a solid foundation to our mains. For the mains we had two filet mignon, a bone in filet and an aged ribeye. Both of our girls loved the filet mignon and ate every last bite which was a surprise since they are usually very picky about any gristle or off texture in a cut of meat. Both the bone in filet and the aged ribeye were ordered medium rare and came out pretty close to perfect. WB verifies the "doneness" of your meat table side by having you cut into it in front of the waiter, which definitely showed a commitment to quality but I felt was a bit heavy handed. Perhaps the waiter could have just told us they'd remake the cut if it wasn't cooked perfectly. The aged ribeye was my first experience with aged meat and it was a quite a treat, the meat was extremely tender with the fat having a bit of a "cheesy" flavor that is (as I understand things) characteristic of the aging process. Overall the cuts of meat were amazing, and definitely served as a focal point for the meal. For desert we tried the chocolate soufflé which was definitely "uncommon/intriguing" to me as the soufflé itself was pretty salty for a desert, but the saltiness was paired with sweetness from condensed milk. In many ways it was similar to the flavor combination from salted chocolate. Very rich, salty, sweet and chocolaty all at once. Definitely not a light desert, but delicious all the same. Service overall was very attentive, welcoming and friendly. A near perfect dining experience.

Liz O.

Yelp
Very laid back steakhouse. The waiters even wear jeans. Valet provided and only pay $5 with discount from restaurant. Restaurant decor was nice. Service was a bit slow for a Monday. It was Veteran's Day and surprisingly the restaurant was pretty packed. Food was good, except the mashed potatoes. It had a weird taste. The beef Wellington, beef tartare, and Mac and cheese were my favorites. Staff were very friendly!

Thea R.

Yelp
We had an exceptional lunch at Wicked Butcher! You can also ask to see the dinner menu as they will offer dinner items during lunchtime. I would recommend the weekday during lunch if you don't want to deal with any crowds. We had an amazing waiter, he was always around to help when we needed assistance and was very warm and personable. The food as well as the presentation was very well executed. We had the cowboy ribeye with truffle butter add on. Definitely a highly recommended cut! The ambiance was very chic, modern, and had a flair of luxury. Perfect spot for friends or a date. They offer valet but if you're lucky you can snag one of the street parking spots. What I do not recommend is the Cacio E Pepe. The pasta noodles were a bit overcooked (very easy to overcook fresh pasta). They specialize in meats...so I recommend to focus on those items.

Rich R.

Yelp
Fuck yea 5 stars. Best filet in town. The risotto was a little heavy on the onion. I have had all the other chains and steak places in town, none eclipsed the filet from them

Kevin E.

Yelp
The food continues to be excellent. We've been a number of times now, but the staff is seemingly unprofessional and is managed by a lackadaisical group of managers. The atmosphere was fantastic as well, but come on guys let's get the staff in line

Craig S.

Yelp
I really wanted to love this steakhouse. The interior was very nice and the service was excellent. I was a bit disappointed in the bone-in Ribeye. It was a great cut of meat, cooked well, just lacked seasoning and flavor. If I were to return I might order some sort of garlic butter or topping on the steak to enhance the flavor. It might have been an off night with the kitchen. Everything else was great.

Shea H.

Yelp
Oh my gosh, this place is incredible. Wicked Butcher is not only delicious, but their service is unparalleled. The drinks were unique and well poured, the food was well thought out and tasty. Our server was so nice from start to finish, she even put in extra food in our to go box when we left because she saw how much we loved the popovers. One of my favorite aspects was the interior, they had unique saddles all along the walls and such beautiful designs along the walls and in the bathrooms. If you're in Dallas and would like a nice dinner, this is the number 1 place I'd recommend.

Joanna M.

Yelp
There is street parking or valet parking available. This is a lovely space to walk into. You will want to plan for about 2 hours for your meal, not a place to eat if you are in a rush. We came for lunch as a group of 8 people. They were great for a couple of us who have food allergies and were mindful throughout the meal when food was delivered. We tried the tenderloin hummus, the hummus was creamy and with the meat was so good. The Caesar salad was okay, maybe try a different salad. The prime rib sandwich was excellent and the au jou just enhanced the flavor and the French fries were the thin string fries. Everyone enjoyed their food. It is a relaxing meal and the service was impeccable.

James R.

Yelp
I was in town on a business trip and found this gem on yelp and thought I would give it a try. I fancy myself somewhat of a foodie in this place did not disappoint. The ambience was fantastic very romantic. I ordered the beef Wellington and crème brûlée corn pudding. Both were off the charts amazing. The wait staff was very attentive and friendly could not have asked for more if you're in the area make sure you stop by. This is not a place you would like to miss.

A'ja R.

Yelp
Amazing tarting with the free appetizer snack all the way to the convoy ribeye with table side truffle butter. Ambience and decor was stunning as well. And my polish waiter was super attentive even with an injury and working on her pre-birthday. Highly recommend

Rahul G.

Yelp
Great dinner for 4 on Friday night. Great cocktails at the bar. Superb service, good food and great wine list. Wine service is top notch. Table enjoyed variety of dishes including rib eye and sea bass. Will return.

Robert M.

Yelp
Finally had the excuse of a friend's birthday to try The Wicked Butcher. Walking in the door revealed an appealing atmosphere with their dry-aged beef visible thru the windows to the left when escorted to your table in the main dining room. Dinner started with a complimentary champagne... what a month to decide to make "dry"! But I graciously accepted! An amuse bouche followed. Both nice touches. Next came a popover and butter. Gotta love a good popover! The meal felt well on its way before even ordering! My meal consisted of the braised tenderloin hummus appetizer, Chilean sea bass entree, and a side of roasted cremini mushrooms. If I had to find one complaint it would be that the large serving of hummus came with too little "pita". I suppose I could have ordered more, but thankfully I had some of the popover left which worked quite well. Everything else was perfect. Great flavors especially for the sea bass. Service by "Kenneth R" and team was fantastic, providing solid recommendations. The requested "business casual" dress code as well as servers being in jeans made for a not too stuffy, yet still special atmosphere. Highly recommend!

Connie T.

Yelp
Loved this restaurant. First time in Dallas. Exterior can be described as akin to a club. Interior however, impresses. Spotlight is on the food though. Creative and unique dishes done right. Some favorites included the braised oxtail hummus (what an idea right?) and the corned creme brulee, which was my favorite, as innovative as delicious. Seafood tower comes with caviar ;). Presentation of the beef tartare on a bed of uncooked black rice, aesthetically appealing and matched in taste. Hamachi crudo was delicious. Drinks were great. Soup was great. My filet mignon was excellent. Everything down to the bread and themed wicked charcoaled butter tasted like heaven. Only minus I would say is that service was slow and they did mix up orders, but our party was huge and we were in town for a congress so large volumes of people that day. Definitely deserves to be on Yelp's best new restaurant list 2024. Salivating simply reconjuring up my meal.

Yelp
food was good! i ordered the beef wellington and it was soooo good. my husband ordered the new york strip and he enjoyed it. they served us some bread with this butter and that was good too. can't complain about the food at all. service was good, we had a reservation and we waited a bit but it wasn't too long. it's a good place to host a nice dinner or party for family or friends. it's kinda small but cozy in there. i would definitely go again

Yelp
Let me just start by saying, we have been to Wicked Butcher at least 7 or 8 times for all of our special occasions and it is usually great, but this year on New Years Eve, it was awful. The wait staff is always friendly, but once they seated us, they handed us a special menu for the night, which they didn't tell us until after we had already been seated, and it was $150 per person and non of our main favorites were available. Moving past my disappointment, I decided to order the filet. We waited for over two hours for our meal to come out. Once it did show up, my filet was undercooked by a ton. The waitress was completely understanding and took it back in a few minutes later the manager brought it out and it was the same piece of steak cut in half and it was chewy. The brussels sprouts that are normally one of my favorite sides were also not cooked crisply like normal, they were soggy. For a $1400 check, I expected excellence. Especially when you're taking your family here to show them the best in Fort Worth.

Yelp
Went for Mother's Day and enjoyed the good food and excellent service. There are excellent alternative options if you're not in the mood for steak. The place is warm, inviting, and tastefully decorated.

Yelp
Finally tried the Wicked Butcher on Saturday night. Love the ambiance and the great service. The steaks were good and for non-steak eaters - the rigatoni is a great option. One comment - they ran out of caviar and thus, it was not available. One suggestion - you really need to add pinot noirs from Willamette Valley to your wine list. We will be back to see if we can sample the caviar next time.

Yelp
Everything was purely delicious! I don't eat meat but all of the seafood dishes we ordered were spectacular. We had oysters, salmon tartar, calamari, and whole branzino entree. Other friends had the cowboy ribeye and center cut filet and they raved about their dishes. The manager, Sydney was lovely and helpful in curating our experience. This will be our new spot in Dallas for sure.

Yelp
Where to begin.. our 7:30 reservation was delayed until 7:45 as apparently folks did not leave quickly enough. Dinner and appetizers must be ordered together so we ordered after carefully considering the menu only to be told our choice , beef wellington, had sold out. Ok, we chose a different entree. One diner's steak was overcooked while one was cooked to order. The side dish of mac n cheese was no better than a box of Kraft mac n cheese . Then came dessert... we reviewed the menu and were excited to try the sundae only to be told that it too was not available! The server should have mentioned that when he dropped off the menu. The final annoyance came when reading the bill. One diner ordered only diet coke. Refills of a 6 oz glass of coke were charged at $5 each. Tacky for a pricey steakhouse. At very least the charge should have been mentioned . Overall certainly expected more..

Yelp
The restaurant itself was absolutely beautiful! The long tile walkway and the beautiful art on the walls that made you feel like you were back in time. The service was over the top and they took care of every little detail. My party had a food allergy and they made sure that every extra course we received had something for that person to enjoy. The hummus and the brussels sprouts stuck out above everything! You can never go wrong with the center cut fillet. What was not shown is the dessert that we got which was fabulous! We got the lavender crème brûlée. Highly recommend for a celebration or just a good night on the town

Yelp
Food was very good. The ambiance felt upscale and great for a date night. The staff was very friendly and attentive. For a recently opened restaurant they ran very efficiently. Would definitely recommend. There's a valet out front that's validated by the restaurant (ends up costing about $5).

Yelp
Was fortunate for my family to surprise me and bring me here for my birthday. The atmosphere was perfect, the staff was super attentive and the food was good!

Yelp
I went here for restaurant week twice with 2 different groups of friends. Both times they gave us a complimentary glass of sparkling wine, a small (~2 bites) appetizer, and mini cookies. All that is a very nice touch! The white truffle caesar salad and ginger miso Chilean sea bass were excellent! The atmosphere was calm and sophisticated. Ask for Maya as your server- she provided us excellent service!!

Yelp
The food was amazing. We got the salmon tartar, oyster, the porterhouse (which was one of the best steaks I have ever had) , the corn, Brussels and truffle fries. It was the perfect amount of food for the two of us. Topped it off with the banana pudding which was *chefs kiss* I forgot his name but the tall white guy with the beard and the short hair was our server and he was absolutely phenomenal. Some of the best service Iv ever had. After dinner we went to the lounge area for some desert drinks and the espresso martini made our night perfect. Highly recommend visiting wicked butcher. We definitely will be back.

Yelp
Wife and I sat at the bar for dinner. As many of the other reviews mention, upon being seated, they were brought complementary champagne and popovers. We were never brought the champagne (my wife had really been looking forward to this). Even though we mentioned to the bartender, as soon as we sat down, that we would be ordering dinner (as opposed to just grabbing a drink, which I of course understand why there would be no champagne in that situation). Then we were waiting for the popovers. It wasn't until we actually ordered dinner that we were asked if we would like some popovers (every other customer appeared to just have them brought out without being asked, so we of course said yes). So sitting at the bar appears to change their algorithm/system, which was annoying. Fwiw, the popovers were delicious. As far as the food goes, my wife said the beef carpaccio appetizer was the best she's ever had. We split the 16oz ribeye for dinner. We ordered it medium rare. The inside was cooked to a nice pink that melted in your mouth. However, the top was completely charred. We order medium rare because we do not like the charred taste. This is clearly a chef's choice, but we didn't care for it, and this has never happened to us at other steakhouses. That being said, I would still put this as the third best ribeye I've ever had, as the quality of the steak was top notch. But for a $70 ribeye, I expect perfection. Really, I'd give 3.5-3.75 stars if that were an option.

Yelp
The name when I saw it I was kind of hesitant. I'm happy we came to the spot. I will definitely be back when I'm in Dallas again. I encourage you to overlook the name. Stop by and give it a shot. Great food, great ambience, and great drinks. I will definitely be back next time. I'm in Dallas.

Yelp
Absolutely divine! Everything was spot-on delicious. The only slight disappointment was that they were out of crostini for the steak tartare, but they substituted it for thicker toasted bread which worked perfectly. We received complimentary champagne, amuse-bouche, and popover. Highly recommended and I hope to go again the next time I visit Dallas.
