The 19 Best Vietnamese Restaurants In Seattle - Seattle - The Infatuation

"It’s easy to grab a table at this casual Rainier Valley restaurant, but deciding what to order among all the options can be tricky. If you’re stumped, direct your attention to the Obama noodle—yes, named after our esteemed 44th president. You’ll get a spread of thinly sliced grilled pieces of pork marinating in a little bowl of tangy sweet fish sauce that soaks into the meat. And if you’re wondering about what to supplement it with, the smell and sound of sizzling bò né passing by with crispy chips of garlic and a chunk of buttery paté will clue you in." - kayla sager riley, aimee rizzo

Wicked Chopstix Review - Beacon Hill - Seattle - The Infatuation

"There aren’t many Vietnamese restaurants on Beacon Hill, but there is Wicked Chopstix. They serve lots of different types of pho, as well as bun cha and a steak and egg plate that comes to the table in a sizzling skillet. The real sleeper hit here though is the pork sausage spring roll. Dip it very liberally in the sweet shallot-y sauce on the side." - Aimee Rizzo

I went there cause the other place was closed so I decided to try this place out. This is a great little vietnamese spot for food. I got the mango shrimp salad, fresh spring rolls, and sizzling fish and dill vermicelli. The mango shrimp salad was delicious, it was sweet with a little heat and fresh veggies and delicious fish sauce poured on top. Me and my girlfriend loved this and highly recommend. Fresh spring rolls are good as usual, hard to mess up, but great side dish. Catfish was great. Fried up chunks on a sizzling platter with onions. I just put everything in a bowl and poured the fish sauce over, great meal, cat fish had good flavor and a nice crunch. Goes really well with the soft noodles and veggies. Have to try the soups next time to see how the broth is, but great dishes so far.

Passed this spot for years and we finally decided to try it. Wow. We've been missing out. We had the pork belly vermicelli plate, the chicken clay pot (rice dish), and the mango shrimp salad. Plus egg foam coffee and Thai iced tea. There are options on some dishes for the sauce. We had the regular fish sauce and the fish paste. And there was another that had shoyu and vinegar. Plenty of fresh herbs and some lettuce, tomato and cucumber. The salad had more carrot than mango, but they were both finely shredded and well seasoned. With some crushed peanuts and fried shallots and bits of fresh herbs. The pork belly vermicelli didn't really have belly - maybe tenderloin with a layer of fat left on - and the seasoning in the noodle and rice dishes seemed to rely on the separate sauces. The drinks were delicious. I liked the tea because it wasn't sweetened with condensed milk so the tea flavor really came through. We enjoyed the meal and had leftovers for later. And we'll definitely be back to try other menu items.

Google
I had the oxtail pho with extra brisket. The broth was good and the oxtail was very tender, but the oxtails had no flavor. They tasted like they were unseasoned or the flavor was boiled out of them. The fried shrimp appetizer was very good and was a huge portion. Note: I came for the lobster pho I saw in pictures to find out they no longer offer it.

We came here to eat this morning. We ordered the mango shrimp salad, spring roll, vegetarian Obama noodles, and the sizzling fish. Everything was seasoned so perfectly. The mango shrimp salad has a solid amount of fish sauce, making it flavorful and fresh. I love the bit of herbs hidden in each bite. They have lots of shrimp to go with it. Wonderful appetizer. 5/5 The spring roll is a normal spring roll with shrimp only. They added something crunchy in the middle, which enhances it. Their sauce is great. It’s a bit of the hoisin sauce with some peanuts and fried garlic. Great flavors 5/5 Sizzling fish was seasoned so perfectly. It’s marinated with some sauce I can’t put my finger on but absolutely delicious. It’s paired with vermicelli noodles and fresh lettuce, Thai basil and cucumbers with some fish sauce. 5/5 The vegetarian Obama noodles were solid. I love each individual piece of “protein” added to the noodles and it’s also paired with vermicelli noodles, fresh lettuce, Thai basil and cucumber. The vegetarian sauce is not too good to be honest. I just don’t like the soy flavor in the vegetarian sauce. If it were similar to the fish sauce some how it would be 100x better. 4/5

Google
South Seattle gem with the nicest staff. QR code menus at the tables but ask and they have print menus too. Love the baby pho for my kids and Obama noodle for grown ups. We regularly get delivery but visited in person recently and had a really nice experience.

I finally went to this restaurant and very happy I did it. Their menu had some unique dishes. There were no photos on the menu, I looked at photos from google reviews to figure out what they may look like. Everything we had was good. I especially liked Wide egg noodle with chicken and turmeric soup. The broth of pho was also tasty. Their service was good. I will go back to eat different dishes. Off street parking is available. Good for a whole family. The place looked big enough for group gatherings.

Google
Bit of a pork chop rice fanatic(com suon). Tried many places. This place is very good, and portions are HUGE. Enough for 2 meals. And it comes with a bit of broth on the side. Most places charge for that. Love it. Would definitely come back. And the owner and staff are very nice.

Google
Came for take out. This is one of the few places where they put a deep fried wonton in their spring rolls and that extra crunch alone deserves 5 stars. The Obama noodles were good too, nicely flavor meat, fish sauce could be more fish saucy but that's my pref. For me, it's just in an out of the way location

Yelp
If you want to dine in here, you'll need to park at their small and obscure parking lot around MLK Way where they're located. The inside has many tables and has sort of a modern feel even though the dining area is relatively small. I ordered takeout for family so nothing to say about service here. We got the Obama noodle and the sizzling catfish with vermicelli. I actually get their Obama noodle here more than any other place, and the quality of it hasn't changed too much! There's always a ton of well-seasoned grilled pork provided, and their fried egg rolls are always crispy and taste fresh. The sizzling fish also had a really nice smoky taste to it despite the fact that I'm not really a fan of catfish. Despite the restaurant usually being quite empty, their food is great (especially their Obama noodle) and I'll be coming back for some more!

Yelp
The food here was so good! I came here with my family and we all tried different things - all were delicious. I ordered the Obama noodles which came in a big serving! The fried spring roll was so good I had to order a plate of just that! This place is also super clean and the servers are friendly. Feels like a family owned place!

Yelp
Amazing Vietnamese food that originates from Hanoi (north Vietnam). You won't find some of these dishes at most Vietnamese restaurants. I've tried their bun cha ca which is fried wish with dill, and I felt that the fish was over fried compared to what I've had before. My friend had their bun mam tom which was really good. They gave a great portion of protein in his dish where I felt I didn't have enough fish in mine. The fermented shrimp paste sauce was a little on the sweet side. I highly recommend their mango salad! Such a delicious appetizer. Prices are a little steep but it's worth getting these dishes that are often not as commonly served. Service is good and food comes out pretty fast as well.

Yelp
My favorite restaurant, their pho is top notch!!! Super friendly and attentive staff, I have loved every single thing on their menu that I've tried! Highly recommend this restaurant

Yelp
This is a great restaurant for big groups. I've been hosting lunches here after the ACRS Walk for Rice event at Seward Park for years and even with the previous ownership. The staff is accommodating, friendly, and attentive. This time I got the Obama vegetarian vermicelli bowl. I like the fresh greens a lot but the tofu was a bit dry for me. The fried spring rolls were great and I could eat a large pile of those. I tried my friend's turmeric fish and that was awesome. I would get that next time. I've also gotten the soups and Obama meat vermicelli, which I enjoyed.

Yelp
Favorite pho place in the south end. Quick service, good food and they always have football on.

Yelp
I came here on a Sunday evening at about 7pm. Although the place was fairly busy, they had ample seating and my group of two was able to be seated immediately. Sports games were playing on the tv so if you want a spot to watch the game (not sure which game), this place is a good one. I got the beef tenderloin pho with extra noodles. It was super filling and had a huge portion. The broth was delicious and perfect to warm myself up on a cold rainy night. Definitely would visit again for some tasty pho!

Yelp
Great neighborhood spot to stop in and grab some noodles. Pretty standard atmosphere but the service is nice and it's very convenient to where we live.

Michelle H.

Yelp
A few things to consider when visiting: Do not expect the typical Vietnamese style food. The menu is very limited. The pho was good. Do not expect there to be comfy chairs. The establishment is more of a get in get out fashion. Service was great.

Yelp
I thought I already knew some of the better Vietnamese joints in Seattle, but I think this is my new favorite. I didn't the pho here, but instead opted for the Bun Cha Obama (I guess it's what he had on the Bourdain show in Hanoi?). It was amazing. Slightly charred meat in a sweet dipping sauce with cold vermicelli noodles and fresh greens (you make your own little lettuce rolls). I also had some very good mango and sticky rice. Everything was super fresh and flavorful and priced very reasonably. I will definitely be back to try Luc Lac and the stir fried boar. Amazing place!

Yelp
Pho ga (chichen pho) is hot and tastyness! Fresh spring rolls are DELICIOUS. Sodas are canned. Water is complimentary. Not FAST food, but GREAT food!
google avatar

Adrienne P.

Yelp
I'm vegetarian so my options are limited here. I ordered the veggie obama noodles and veggie fresh rolls. The fresh rolls are perfection- many flavors and textures combined perfectly, with delicious peanut sauce. The noodles were just OK. The sauce was missing the bit of sweetness that other restaurants include in their veggie "fish" sauce so the flavor was just salty. The soy meat and tofu were good but the spring rolls were so greasy with rancid oil that I couldn't eat them. This has been mentioned in other reviews (and I called about it over a year ago) but nothing has changed.

Yelp
Brought an out of town friend here for his pho fix. It was a little late so we were glad to find something open. The food was pretty good. I liked the way it was brought out, kind of deconstructed. The service was a bit slow. Overall it was fine, would come back.
google avatar

Yelp
Came here on a Sunday morning with no wait. The service was a bit slow. Ordered the Bo Ne which was okay - lacking flavor a bit and the meat was over cooked. The pho was also ok, came out hot but was so oily and a bit bland and some of the tendon pieces were still frozen on the inside. The Cha ca dish was probably the best - lots of flavor and a good sized portion.

Joe L.

Yelp
5 stars! People are friendly and polite, pho is quick, bean sprouts and greens are fresh, and also easy to park.
google avatar

Tuan Q.

Yelp
Delicious pho, a little on the pricey side. Service is good. Enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere.

Clarissa T.

Yelp
Excellent service and food, the staff is always really nice and they're generous with the meat portions in the pho. Very clean as well, I'm surprised it's not more popular it's been mostly empty when I've come in.

Yelp
This place was found totally random when we were around the area. But it turned out to be a great viet restaurant!!! Their presentation is legit def instagram worthy pho tastes good and i think my friends dishes all turned out great. They got a decent size of parking lots so parking wasn't bad at all. Inside is huge and good for a group event as well. Def recommend!

Yelp
Where to begin? We walked in and ordered to go on a whim, having seen it many times driving by. I'd actually been wanting to try it for a long time, but I always seem to think of it on the day they're closed. When we finally made it in, ordering was easy, and the food was hot and delicious. We had grilled lamb chops, fresh rolls, egg rolls, Obama noodle, chicken rice. Everything was so tasty, and I'd reorder all of it. I can't wait to go back in and try more things! (Looking at you, pork belly bun)!

Yelp
Great customer service. Great broth, some Of the best tbh. Buuuuuttt they barely put any noodles in the soup !

Yelp
Food was amazing. Pho had a great flavor. I like it better than the Pho that's across the street!

Yelp
I ordered fried vegetarian egg rolls and look how oily it is... had to throw the whole thing away bc every bite I took, oil was spurting out

Yelp
Very different when it comes to what I think of traditional Vietnamese food - Chef Chi Yen comes from Hai Phong Vietnam (near Hanoi and Ha Long Bay). I ordered the Obama Noodles ask Bun Cha Obama, which was inspired by what previous President Obama had with the late Anthony Boudain when he was visiting Vietnam in one of his episodes of Parts Unknown. I was served a platter with an empty bowl, some noodles and herbs and some meat. There was no instructions and I had to ask our server how she suggested eating this (I felt like such a noob and I'm no stranger to Vietnamese food)! She just told us to mix a little of everything into the bowl and enjoy! LOL! Okay.. digging right in!!! I liked the dish - I would give this dish a solid 3.5 stars. The herbs were fresh, the meat was flavorful BUT I thought the meat was a bit dry, kind of chewy, and overcooked (both in the broth) and the fried cha on top of the noodles. The broth was very fragrant and I liked the flavors. I also thought we could've used a bit more noodles for the amount of meat. You really have to use the broth to add a little wetness to the noodles, or else everything would've just been too dry. Maybe I didn't order the right dish, but I saw this was such a popular one on the menu. My friend ordered the Bun Dau Mam Tom aka Pork Belly Tofu Noodles and it definitely wasn't what she expected. It was boiled sliced of pork belly and tofu (dried, no sauce) served with a purple fish/shrimp paste sauce. The sauce is definitely pungent and overwhelming if you're not used to this flavor. Overall, the food was different and good. I wouldn't rave about it and go out of my way to come back here, but I also didn't think it was horrible. The place was pretty modern and the staff friendly. There's also a parking lot on both sides of the building.

Chauncey B.

Yelp
I frequent Pho places all over Seattle. I came here starving one day wanting to try it out. I was the only one there. Ordered a large pho with extra meat (+$7 wtf!) and when I got the bowl there was barely any meat! I kindly asked the waitress if the order contained extra meat and she immediately replied, "yes!" No more questions, no more concerns, nothing. $25+ later, that was the biggest rip off and disappointment in a long time. Will not be going back.

Yelp
I gotta say, this hip and modern Viet place = dang solid for yummy Vietnamese food :) Located in the MLK area, this place is easy to spot but a lil tricky to get to due to the Link rail tracks. Plenty of parking and overall, inside is pretty spacious and open. Together with my mom, we ordered: Lobster Pho, Cha Ca, Nem Nuong Cuon, and Passion Fruit Tea. Verdict: Everything was yum yum yum, especially the lobster pho. At around $26 for the lobster pho, I think it's worth it. You get the entire hugeeeee lobster to yourself and the broth = on point. As for the Cha ca, if you're a fan of sizzlin' dishes, this one is fun to eat. Loaded with fresh veggies + vermicelli, it's a pretty light and refreshing dish. As for appetizers, the nem nuong cuon rolls are HUGE. Like....wow o.o ...And finally, the passion fruit tea = delicious. Ahhh, would come here again for the tea! In regards to service, staff here is friendly and outgoing and overall, it's a nice change from the typical Viet places. :) Can't wait to come back and try the Obama dish next time!
google avatar

Yelp
For a restaurant tucked away in a not-so-obvious place, they serve a pretty great menu of Vietnamese food. I ordered the Bun Cha Obama, partly due to the name and partly due to the variety of items in the dish: grilled pork, fried pork, egg roll, greens, vermicelli. The food was pretty good. The atmosphere wasn't as impressive: kind of a mix of modern and aging fixtures and a bathroom that didn't look very appealing. But all that aside, the food was fine and I would probably come back to try something else on the menu.
google avatar

Amanda ..

Yelp
The presentation of the food and the taste was EXCELLENT. One of the best vermicelli bowls we have had. The egg rolls were nice and crunchy on the outside and delicious on the inside. Would definitely order again. Thank you. Vegetarian Vermicelli Bowl and Bun Cha Obama
google avatar

Anh N.

Yelp
It's pretty decent pho but definitely too oily this recent time we came in. I wish their spring rolls came with peanut sauce and not just hoisin or whatever it is. Still on the look out for good Vietnamese food in the area.
google avatar

Yelp
They are wonderful. Great food. Fantastic service. So kind. Quick turnaround for food pick up. Lots of parking too!

Yelp
We ordered a few different dishes: Obama noodles, mi quang and the sizzling fish. They all had great flavor; however, other things could have been better such as, using thinner wrappers to deep fry things. The obama noodles had this deep fried stuffed grilled egg. The wrapper used was so thick, it made it incredibly chewy, i had to toss that aside. The mi quang's broth was delicious but had really dry pork meat. I also ordered a durian shake, they need to upgrade their blender. Every sip i took had a bunch of tiny pieces of ice chunks... an icee at 7-11 is smoother than that! Also, they barely put any durian in it. All i tasted was sugar and milk. It was a huge disppointment. Every dish in this joint avg $12-15. A bowl of pho costs about $8-12. Id understand if this restaurant is sitting in Capital Hill, Columbia City or Belltown, but it's not -- it's kinda in the hood. So, idk if this place will survive unless it gives a little.

Yelp
I was rather perplexed how my lunch experience with the college friend earlier today was rather night and day from my initial visit nearly two months ago. Had to reduce the stars from 5 to 3. Pros: kept well hydrated with chilled water, the pho broth remains exceptional. Cons: took 3 attempts for the college friend to place her order: couldn't get her questions answered and in the end was disatissfied with her chewy chicken entree ($12). Me - I had the grilled pork chop ($10). This was very thin, bony, and not overly flavorful. And sadly, the steamed rice was not so moist. Total polar opposite from when I sampled it back in April. Can't complain too much because of the redeemed the $5 off for each entree. Wished we had a better lunch experience elsewhere for my birthday. Most likely will not return for a third visit though.

Yelp
The South End along MLK has some of the best low-key type ethnic mom-and-pop restaurants in Seattle. Wicked Chopstix is a bit different from that though, because it just looks more modern and trendy on the inside. It's a relatively newer (and cleaner, if you get my meaning) restaurant in the neighborhood- the inside is more dressed up with shiny new tables, shiny new chairs, nice decor and lots of natural lighting. That said, despite being a 'nice looking' restaurant, I think the food is actually pretty good. I needed to make that a point because, from my experience, most Asian restaurants that look too 'nice' and 'modern' serve mediocre and watered-down food. The Mango Shrimp Salad is really good. That would be a great appetizer to kick things off- it's freshly crisp and has a great tangy taste to it. Also, the Bo Ne (Dodging Beef Steak) makes for a good hearty main plate. The portion of cubed beef is pretty good, and it comes out sizzling hot. The Hailam Chicken Rice isn't bad either, but this one is hard for me to really judge on. I'm Malaysian, and I've had Hailam Chicken Rice in several different hawkers and food courts in Kuala Lumpur, Petaling Jaya, and Singapore, and Wicked Chopstix' offering just isn't fair to compare... BUT for Seattle standards, I think it's just good enough. I do like that mildly sweet garlic sauce that comes on the side. Try for yourself though! The food here is pretty good overall. My one gripe though is I think the menu is relatively expensive compared to other restaurants in the area (the cost of doing business, I presume). But overall, this place deserves a FOUR STAR rating and a visit from you if you're in the area!
google avatar

Yelp
Cute little trendy place off MLK way.. Vietnamese street food.. I of course had to try the oxtail pho.. delicious..the broth is really good.. this is the first time I tried the Obama noodle dish.. interesting.. id get it again to share . It's a good thing I went with my Vietnamese friends cause she showed me how to eat it... Put the veggies in the bowl first .. then the tofu and fish cakes.. mix chili sauce with the fermented shrimp paste sauce.. and add that to your bowl.. little goes a long way cause it's salty af!.. wouldn't eat this on a date cause unless you bring mouthwash.. it's pretty much bagoOng sauce for my fellow Filipinos..

Yelp
I have driven past here a number of times and decided to finally drop in for some lunch on a weekday morning. It was on the early side, so it didn't surprise me that we were the only people inside. It's a bit of a different space, with higher tables and stools around some of the windows. It's pretty open. I grabbed some oxtail pho, which was okay, but not outstanding. I expected a little fall off the bone but it ended up being some pretty gristle laden pieces. Being winter, one of the doors kept popping open and a cold, blustery wind kept the place a fridge. Maybe that's nice during the summer, but it also made the place super noisy with all the traffic on the street. Finally, someone walked over and locked one of the sets of doors to keep it from happening. Probably not the best plan in the world.

Hang T.

Yelp
Not very impressive. Have been wanting to try this restaurant before Pandemic and finally had a chance to try for the first time. Please do not add the carrots pickles into the spring rolls. They tasted very strange.

Thomas M.

Yelp
DO NOT SLEEP ON THIS PLACE!!!!!! It takes a lot for me to write a review. But this place may be in the top 5 restaurant experiences. Ever. The pho, egg rolls, vermicelli bowl and fresh rolls were to die for. Every single bean sprout was crunchy and fresh, every Thai basil leaf was vibrantly green, every piece of meat and tofu was cooked to perfection. The house made chili oil was the best I've ever had. Perfection. I have found my one and only Vietnamese spot in the entire USA.
google avatar

Kelly M.

Yelp
Great service, delicious food! I got a vermicelli bowl custom ordered with tofu and pork and it was absolutely delicious!

Yelp
So, I haven't been to Wicked Chopstix yet (sort of). My husband has gone over to pick up to-go orders from them, and we (us and our teen) are hooked! I've had the Wicked Vegetarian Vermicelli and the Obama Noodles, which were amazing! I enjoy their eggrolls, and everything just sits so well when I'm done with my meal. Delicious! My husband tells me the staff there has been nothing but super nice... and that the restaurant is cute. (We are still avoiding indoor dining... stoopid pandemic... go away!) Anyway, we are fans and are so glad we tried them!

M C.

Yelp
Food was only "ok" this time around. Sort of disappointed- perhaps it was a bad day for the cook.

Yelp
One of their dish that not many others have is lobster pho which i tried is pretty good Today i had the com ga hai nam. Which i have to say isn't the best I've had. Sauce is on the sweeter side and chicken is kinda dry. The atmospehere is casual.

Yelp
This place looks a whole lot better after it went under new management. They did a good job making the place look more alive and modern. Their menu is fairly small, not a large selection of vietnamese cuisine. They do however server vietnamese egg coffee. (Would not recommend). It was awful. Definitely not comparable to ones I've had when I went to vietnam. The egg was curdling in the coffee, which is not suppose to be like that. At least, not how every other vietnamese egg coffee I'vd had. My beverage also came out AFTER I had finished the Pho Dac Biet that I ordered. Yes, my food was finished and THEN it came out. It's understandable that the coffee was being made fresh but it does not take THAT long. Their broth for the Pho is probably one of the more flavorful broth I've tried. A lot of spice flavor and beef bone flavor that it tasted like they've cooked it for a LONGGG time. Their rice and chicken dish my girlfriend got was very bland. The rice, the chicken, everything but the sauce was bland. The sauce that came with it was super sweet, which didn't help the dish. They're also a very sanitary vietnamese restaurant. Their utensils are not just sitting at the tables like most, it's brought out in a little pastry bag which is creative. Overall, I would come back to try their other food. It didn't disappoint. Aside from the god awful drink, never again. Reason for the 4 stars and not lower is because EVEN though the beverage is god awful, it did not make my whole experience bad. Their service was amazing. Ambiance and cleanliness stands out amoungst the rest.

Yelp
I was curious to see how large the large was and it was definitely big. Lots of broth and a good amount of meat (I got the special). Some drawbacks were that the noodles seemed pretty dried out/stale and not the slight chewiness that pho noodles usually have. I did go towards the later part of the evening so the bunch of noodles might've been leftovers from their takeout ingredients, but it did affect the quality of the pho. Also, the meatballs tasted pretty plastic-y? Beef and ambiance was fine otherwise. Was pretty full after finishing everything but the broth! $11-13 for what I got was pretty reasonable.

Yelp
The coffee & tea were excellent, but I was visiting for a tasty bowl of soup. In the past I've always loved the flavors in Mi Quang, didn't taste any of those here. I had to ask for some nuoc mam, not even after adding a bunch did the flavors improve. I let the owner know of my disappointment, he just shrugged his shoulders as if there was nothing he could do, not likely to return.

Yelp
Not another Vietnamese place you say? Well, you would be wrong if you said that about Wicked Chopstix. Yes, it is another Vietnamese restaurant in the Othello area of MLK but the food was really good. When we walked in we were greeted by a very friendly and polite young man who told us we could sit anywhere. He brought us our menus and offered us tea or water. We got the hot tea and they brought a large container of tea. I really like the fact that they did this so I did not have to ask for another pot. He also took some time to explain why one of the dishes was named after Obama... It was the Bun dish he ate when he was in Hanoi. Once we placed our order he was quick to bring us our tea as we waited. I liked the interior. It has a very minimalist appeal to it and I thought the cracked cement floor and the hanging lights gave it a bit of charm. Otherwise the place is pretty simple inside. There are large windows and if you are at a table for four, you can sit and look out at MLK. Our order of fresh rolls arrived quickly and they were nicely plated. If you have read my reviews before you know I am a big fan of herbs and greens, especially in my fresh rolls. I like that there was a n herbal flavor to the rolls instead of simply putting lettuce in as many seem to do. The dipping sauce for the rolls was tasty and there was enough of it. I am someone who enjoys not only good food but I truly believe that presentation does add to the whole dining experience. I loved the way the food was served on one of those small bamboo sifters that are used to separate rice grain from the chaff. They lay a large banana leaf over it as well. The food is then arranged with a nice helping of greens and herbs as well as a bowl to mix your food in. There was even a beautiful red chili that added just a hint of color. I was in a hill tribe village in Vietnam and they served food in this style and so this brought back a few memories. I thought it was a nice touch. We tried two dishes. One was the Bun with pork belly & tofu and the other was the Bun Cha Obama. I think the Bun Cha Obama was excellent. I loved the taste of the pork and how it was seasoned. The egg rolls that came with it were fresh made and not frozen. The pork belly was good and simply boiled which was exactly what I was looking for since I was not feeling so good. I think if I was up for a regular meal I would not have liked it as much since it was not spiced at all. The fried tofu that came with it was in small bite sized pieces which is nice. I am not a fan of the dried shrimp dipping sauce so I asked for some of the fish sauce dipping sauce which I prefer with bun. I think they should give a bit more noodles with the food but otherwise i liked everything else. I was way too full so I did not order the dessert but I think the next time I come back I will try the sticky rice and yogurt. The woman who took the payment at the front counter was very nice and asked us what we thought of the food. I liked that she seemed genuinely interested in what I had to say. I liked this place and I think it has the potential for another star... maybe next time.

Yelp
I can't believe I hadn't already reviewed this place - whoops! I'd come a few times and always ordered the vegetarian Obama noodle, which is quite good. It does include "soymeat," and usually if I want something vegetarian it's because I don't even want pretend meat, but I know I'm an outlier. Just this weekend, my husband and I wanted pho and our usual place was closed. We decided to come here and I'm so glad I finally tried their pho! I got the tofu pho (which does not have a vegetarian broth option, FYI to all vegans) and it was SO GOOD. The broth was really flavorful, not too salty but tasty enough that I kept sipping it even after I was full. It was pretty quiet when we arrived (around 5:30pm) but toward the end of our meal it started filling up, both with in-house diners and folks picking up takeout.

Yelp
I like this restaurant. While not all the dishes are spot on, it's relative clean and pleasant The menu has enough selection for you to pick but is also not too overwhelmed. They also put napkins and utensils in a paper page which i think can be wasteful The bun cha Obama is decent. It offers less noodle than I would imagine but the meat and sauce are good. The lamp cho appetizer is worth for the price. While the taste can't compared to the higher end restaurant but the quantity is decent It's the first place I have seen in years that offer yogurt sticky rice. This is a very common dessert in Vietnam. However I would not suggest you get it here as the sticky rice is hard and doesn't have the chewy and the soft texture as I should have TL,DR: go with Obama noodle and ignore others

Yelp
Their pho is so good and my brother and I loved their fresh spring rolls. He's allergic to peanuts so I'm really glad that the peanuts were only in the sauce and not in the actual roll itself. Their fish sauce wings are super flavorful.

Yelp
Decent for Seattle standards but needs improvement for Vietnam standards for sure. Ordered the Obama noodles for my first visit and they were decent. They had most of the elements of the original dish and the flavors were on the right track. I like that the meat isn't just plain meat. There was a bit of texture, char and gristle which added to the flavors. On my second trip I ordered the Bo Kho which is one of my favorite dishes when visiting Vietnam. The dish again had the right elements and flavors but everything seemed very watery and washed out. COVID times are hard for sure and it seems like their kitchen is understaffed ..... so maybe this is part of what the problem is.

Yelp
I'm visiting from California and a friend told us about Lobster Pho. What?! I have NEVER heard of lobster in Pho. I'm usually used to eating your typical pho tai or Dac biet but I was intrigued on what the lobster Pho had to offer. Upon receiving it, you see a WHOLE lobster laying on a bed of Pho noodles. There's also scallops, mushrooms, broccoli, and carrots in the broth. It was so flavorful. I'm obsessed. Might have to come back before we leave! Try it if you're here because you won't find lobster Pho anywhere else!!!
