"Wide Eyes Open Palms is one of the better cool coffee shop options in Long Beach. Along with iced cardamom spiced lattes, they also serve great breakfast and lunch food. The space is bright and sunny, making it an ideal spot to post up with your laptop. Listen to the friendly staff when they suggest subbing out the toast in the Simple Egg + Toast for one of their biscuits - it makes for a truly excellent breakfast sandwich." - Jess Basser Sanders

I see why this place is so highly rated. Not only is the atmosphere very warm and welcoming, but the staff is very knowledgeable and the kitchen workers know what they're doing! One of the most delicious vegan bowls I've ever had and the plain sweetened coffee was outstanding. Truly exceeded my expectations. This is a must visit café for anyone in Long Beach.

Google
I crave their house made nut milk, it's the perfect addition to any of their coffees. This morning, I tried the Pumpkin Turmeric Latte and the egg breakfast sandwich with goat cheese. I wish I had a photo but I devoured it. They can also make a refreshing michelda! The staff is so friendly and inviting this is a LB 4th Street must.

Google
(Grade A+) A constant A+, the chef is a magician, that's all I should say. Service and kind hosts just make you want to order more. Wow, food here is so good, got a lot more than I could eat because I was curious. The cocotte was so good, I had to go back the next morning and took 2 people with us. Excellent coffee, the strawberry bread pudding (yumm) and apricot scone, amazing! The Ricotta and Peach on awesome Toast, good thing is available every day. The second day there was a Biscuit and eggs special, I wish was available every day. There's a bit of a wait, but sooo worth it. You have to try it. I'm going there every time I'm in Long Beach. Update: I don't really like breakfast how many times can you disguise eggs bacon and potato? WEOP is different, it's almost like I'm eating lunch. Got a little too much as usual, everything is so good can't decide. The only bad thing was that there was no bread pudding :-( again. Got the Fritatta, it was another great thing we got to try (I'll post the picture). Thanks Angie and Kat for the great food. Update 9/2021: Haven't been there since the darn pandemic. Decided were going to try to go this weekend--well it's a drive from Pasadena to Long Beach just for breakfast, but I'm sure it's going to be worth it. I'm fasting today so I can enjoy tomorrow :-)

When I forgot to write my review a few days ago I was reminded when I found my biscuit sandwich in the fridge. I warmed it up and after I took that first bite I knew I had to write a review. That biscuit, after being warmed up in a microwave, was almost as good as it was when I had it fresh!! It was crunchy on the outside and soft inside. It has a kick of spice but it was perfect, as it made what could be a boring biscuit, so full of flavor that complemented the perfectly cooked egg. I enjoyed sipping my beautifully made espresso as I savored every bite of the biscuit sandwich. I did get to sample the frittata which I will order on my next visit. I wish there was more seating because it is a tiny shop but it is worth the visit.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting this charming café, and I must say, it left quite an impression. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and a welcoming atmosphere. Our friend from Dusseldorf, whose taste buds are undoubtedly refined, vouched for the quality of the pastries and coffee, and I couldn't agree more. Each sip of coffee was rich and satisfying, while the pastries were baked to perfection, boasting a delightful blend of flavors. One aspect that particularly impressed me was the selection of breakfast and brunch dishes. It's not often you find a place that offers such a variety of fresh, light, and healthy options. Whether you're craving something savory or sweet, there's something on the menu to satisfy every palate. The ambiance of the café is casual yet inviting, with indoor bar seating adding to the cozy atmosphere. However, the real gem lies in the outdoor patio, complete with heat lamps and sun shades. It's the perfect spot to enjoy your meal al fresco, no matter the weather. What truly sets this establishment apart is its commitment to being a local favorite. Supporting a place run by such passionate individuals who consistently deliver exceptional food and service is a pleasure. Overall, I can confidently say that this café is a hidden gem worth discovering.

Google
My favorite shop in Long Beach, and the best frittata I've ever had anywhere, ever. Seriously. The patio is cute AF. I get a cold brew growler every week, and the ricotta jam toast is so good. All of the jams are made in house or locally. The service is always flawless and kind, and they know many of their customers by name 🫶🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈

Went to WEOP after brunch today and was great! Got a dark chocolate oat milk latte and my friend got the matcha latte and a fig pastry. The pastry was flaky and delicious, and both drinks were delicious. Staff was super friendly! Sat outside and was able to enjoy Sunday morning.

I flew into Long Beach and was hungry. This was suggested to me by my significant brother. He knows my taste in food. I like good food that's healthy and tasty. I had the vegetable bowl and it was wonderful. It hit the spot and was very very satisfying. The coffee was also very good. There is also a range of gluten-free options as well as normal homemade pastries.

Tami R.

Yelp
You walk up and place your order. Limited seating inside and there are 6 outdoor tables under umbrellas and shade. Took my mom here for an early Mother's Day brunch and it is yummy! Food is made from scratch with quality ingredients you can taste. Interesting coffee & tea drinks. I enjoyed my cardamom latte with their homemade vegan milk and it was delicious! I can't believe we stumbled upon this place- what a lucky find!

Yelp
We were looking for a quick but yummy breakfast sandwich so we stopped by and ordered the egg breakfast sandwich with added bacon and avocado. I also ordered an iced mocha. The biscuit on the sandwich is really good and it makes the meal. We paid over $20 for the sandwich which to me is very pricy. It was good, but I don't think it's worth $20. One breakfast sandwich and one coffee for $40 after tax and tip is just a bit much. Everyone was friendly, they have a couple places to sit inside but it's very small. The outside seating is much better. Overall I would not go back because of the high cost.

Mandana B.

Yelp
Adorable restaurant in Long Beach. Plenty of street parking or a city lot nearby. They have outside seating. Service was great and the quality of the food was amazing. Highly recommend the Matcha, it was delicious! Our meal was simple but flavorful. You can tell they use high-quality fresh ingredients. I will be back!

Jose H.

Yelp
Great service and pastries and delicious coffee, verified by our friend from Dusseldorf. Good selection of fresh light and healthy breakfast/brunch dishes. Casual ambiance with counter indoor seating and nice outdoor patio with heat lamps and sun shade. Happy to support a local establishment with great people, food and service.

Yelp
one of my favorite places to grab brunch. if this place was a legitimate sit down with bigger space and patio, i think it would have been THE spot for everyone. i've never had a bad experience here. the food is always so fresh and consistent. the employees are warm and welcoming. they've had many windows broken/vandalized, plants stolen from their parklet, but they always remained so positive and bright. i'm sad hearing about the change of ownership soon (so go visit them while they have their current owners!! their last service date is june 2 for the current owners) and i really hope the new owners carry on their legacy. my favorite thing to get is their frittata and salad!! their biscuit sandwich is bomb as well. their lattes - rosemary cardamom and lavender lattes are so delicious as well. this place will brighten your mood. my friends from out of town had gone there too and i still remember how much they were raving about this place and how it made them felt welcomed to long beach.

Vala R.

Yelp
Still fabulous! I wanted to stop in before they sold WEOP. Angie is wonderful, vanilla latte was strong, Ricotta Bread is delicious! Shop is cute, clean - outside seating looks cozy.

Yelp
We tried this place on a Saturday afternoon right before they closed at 15:00. This place is located on a busy street so parking may be difficult to find. There is a small parking lot across the street but it was pretty full when we pulled in. There are seats outside, but it was too noisy for us so we were lucky to find the only two seats inside, empty. The cashier was super friendly and told us what was made in-house (which was practically everything!) and suggested we try their Ricotta and Jam Toast. We tried the apricot and nectarine jam and it was delicious! I know both jams and the ricotta are made in-house, but I'm pretty sure the bread is made in-house too. It just tasted too good for me to believe they had it made off-site. They have self serve water outside with utensils and napkins. They also have this spinning machine thing that helps keeps flies or other bugs off your food when you're not eating it. We also tried two drinks - I got their Iced Hibiscus Lavender Tea, which wasn't too tart nor too sweet...nor too lavender-y. I don't know how they did it but it was super refreshing and a delight to drink on a hot, humid, pre-hurricane day. My husband got a decaf chocolate iced latte. I don't remember the name but he really liked it and wished it was just a tad more chocolatey. I thought it was perfect though lol. Inside there are also other items for purchase - stickers, smudge sticks, canned drinks, pre-packaged meals, wine, socks, teas, honey, and buttons, to name a few!

Yelp
Food: 9/10 Service: 10/10 Ambiance: 9/10 This is a *phenomenal* coffee shop + kitchen. There's a lot of competition in the Long Beach coffee space, but this place stands out for a few reasons: * They have unique caffeinated + non-caffeinated beverage options. I ordered their "Zinger" drink--which costs $7.50 and is made with a cola-flavored tonic, double espresso, and lime--with a bit of skepticism. And goshdarnit, I ended up LOVING it! Looking forward to returning tomorrow so I can order another. * Their baked goods and food are all made fresh in-house. No reheated frozen goods here! And the baked goods are BOMB. I resisted getting a scone because I thought I wasn't hungry. Then I took a bite and quickly ate the whole thing. Worth every penny * The service is top-notch. They are kind, helpful, and extremely patient with new customers who have ample questions about the menu. And we got a free cookie! This isn't the most convenient coffee shop for me, but I will make the trek to come here regularly now that I know this shop exists. And I recommend you do the same ;)

Leslie Y.

Yelp
A simple breakfast menu ensures that every item is expertly prepared and fresh. I don't drink coffee, but my wife thoroughly enjoyed her iced latte. The interior is small, but the shady outdoor patio provides the perfect ambiance to enjoy good food with great company.

Alek H.

Yelp
The best staff, delicious pastries, breakfast and lunch items and simply the most welcoming and diverse spot in Long Beach. I love supporting women-run businesses, so def feels great to shop here.

Melanie P.

Yelp
Visited this local small coffee shop yesterday and the food and service was amazing. I got the vegan grain bowl and a piece of toast with a side of persimmon jam. All of it was fantastic. The only reason for 4 stars is because it was quite expensive for the toast and jam (about $9) but because I wanted to try the jam, I was willing to pay it. And the slice of toast was large but $6 was a bit a much. Will definitely go back though because I want to try the meyer lemon jam. Everyone was kind and helpful.

Ashley P.

Yelp
My sister and I were looking for a brunch place to check out and we found this place and it didn't disappoint! WEOP offers seasonal, locally sourced, farm to table brunch. Everything tasted so fresh and clean. The guava jam on the ricotta + jam toast was perfectly sweet and didn't taste artificial at all! I loved the biscuit on the biscuit sandwich, it's a cheddar and herb biscuit and the herbs totally elevated the flavor of the sandwich. The egg was perfectly cooked, super fluffy! I wanted more of a matcha flavor for their matcha and honey latte but it was still good! The customer service is amazing. Everyone was so kind and our cashier was so sweet and helpful and made us feel so welcome. Parking can be tough as it's street parking only. We managed to find a spot easily but because we went on a weekday, not sure how it is on weekends!

Alex L.

Yelp
Awesome and friendly service! The food is amazing. Would definitely recommend matcha and lavender latte. Service : 10/10 Food: 9.5/10

Yelp
Darn I really need to come earlier next time cause they were out of the frittata and the biscuit for the biscuit + egg sandwich. We came on a Sunday a little before 2PM. I got the egg sandwich with the gusto bread toast instead and it was still so dang good. The scrambled eggs were fluffy and the gusto toast was buttered and so delicious. Apparently the bread is from a store a few stores down but it was closed on Sunday. The sandwich was everything I wanted. I just wish there was a tad bit more arugula in my egg sandwich. My husband got the Simple egg + toast that came with a salad with sprouts. His salad was bitter but tasted very healthy. We both liked our own orders more. We shared the lavender oat latte which was recommended and I would totally get it again. Food took a while to come out, but the latte came out quickly. There's some cute merchandise and cards available inside. There's not really indoor seating - just two seats near the window which we were able to sit at but the sun was a little in our eyes. They offered to pull the shade down for us, but the sun felt nice. There was some outdoor seating and the tables were cleaned up promptly. It's not a cheap place, but the food and drink made me happy. We parked on the street and it took some circling around but eventually found a spot.

Alex L.

Yelp
Open Thursdays-Sundays, this little tiny bakery/cafe is a great place for brunch/food. It's a bit pricey, expect to spend at least $20 for coffee and breakfast, but the quality is definitely A+ along with the service, so it feels like it's worth it. Most recently, I had a breakfast biscuit along with a coffee and found it delicious. The biscuit had some crunch to it and the eggs were so fluffy and delicious. There's not much indoor seating, just be aware you'll probably have to sit outside (it can be chilly early in the mornings). All in all, great little place for a coffee drink or a breakfast/lunch!

KB G.

Yelp
Delicious food and friendly service. My fiancé and I found this cafe on Yelp and we found street parking that was only a 2 minute walk to the small restaurant. I ordered the iced vanilla bean latte and he got the latte with honey. The cashier also explained that they made their own cheese with the scrambled eggs and it was super yummy! I also had a cookie as a breakfast dessert and forgot to take a picture of it but it was also yummy. This is a great place to eat an early breakfast or as a brunch too. There is also outside seating, a little small space, but it was perfect to enjoy the wonderful weather.

Yelp
I LOVE discovering small, local cafes / bakeries that just blow all expectations out of the water. Wide eyes open palms is one of them. My bf and I ordered takeout from here, and I'm still dreaming about their biscuits and toasts. We tried their biscuit sandwich, which came with the most flavorful and well seasoned biscuits I've ever had. They reminded me of real southern biscuits but better. Soft, buttery, and just the perfect compliment to the fluffy egg. Amazing. We also tried the almond butter and jam toast. The bread itself was cut thick and perfectly toasted. The takeout order came with generous helpings of both the almond butter and jam. Both spreads were delicious. All the five star reviews are true. Go support this small business!

Lauren C.

Yelp
When I walked into this place, I was immediately greeted. It's small but clean and the staff are extremely cool; good vibes, friendly, and the place is very colorful. We got their molasses agave latte and cardamom spiced latte (both with oat milk) ... the flavors are very subtle which I didn't mind... but if you are expecting big flavor ... these aren't the drinks for you. Parking is a little bit of a struggle. I had to circle around a couple of times but I eventually found one. It's a little difficult to locate, as well. You could easily pass it; it's sandwiched between other businesses. It's literally right dab in the middle. But there is outdoor seating which makes it easier to find.

Marilyn E.

Yelp
It can be a bit difficult to find parking since some of the spots were being used as a dineout are for the restaurants here but other than that the coffee isn't like amazing haha it's one of those places where if they have a chocolate latte it just tastes like coffee and burnt chocolate lol

Chinh N.

Yelp
Love this little petite breakfast/brunch shop. If you are into holistic, organic, fresh food with a good cup of coffee, this is the spot. Everything taste fresh and it's apparent the ingredients are also earthy-it's not packaged from the local supermarket. We got their salad with a egg quiche, toast and goat cheese. The cheese was very subtle - not strong in taste like other goat cheese I had...compliments the toast very well. Got the matcha with honey and latte with their house made milk and rosemary syrup..both hot and was nicely pair with their lemon cake and scones-wasn't too sweet. What I love most is they have these outdoor tables that you can enjoy while people watching or just chit chat.

Dionne M.

Yelp
The people were very nice. The price of my dish vs the quality it was hard to make that make sense. Still a good overall experience.

Helen K.

Yelp
I'm a sucker for lavender lattes with oatmilk. That's all I got to order here but I loved it! I definitely want to come back and try their food. Warning- they use compostable straws that break super easily so just be careful when using it!

Felicia D.

Yelp
Thisisthespot If I lived closer, I'd be here almost everyday. Local coffee shops are a Long Beach treasure and this place is one of its most magnificent gems. People here are extremely nice, so inclusive and service is top notch. The food is to die for and the lattes are delish! The place is super cozy and definitely fits the LB vibe. My personal favs are the ricotta toast jam & Lavender Latte, but honestly everything I've tried here is amazing. If you haven't given this place a chance yet, you must! Or else you're just missing out.

PatchouliNomad C.

Yelp
This is my only and favorite coffee shop to visit when I'm in Long Beach! Food is fresh and I'm always satisfied with what I get. Coffee is great every time. I had the toast with goats cheese and soft boiled egg with leafy greens. Sooo good! Everything is amazing and their customer service too!

Evin S.

Yelp
Came here on my lunch break and I was in the mood for something sweet. I ordered the vegan tangerine dream cake--I loved the taste and the attention to detail of the frosting and tangerine slice garnish on top.

Mark N.

Yelp
It's got to be the most unassuming little hole in the wall restaurant; just a small storefront and a small "parklet" for outdoor eating (under shade). Hubby and I stopped by with our little dog for brunch today; while I settled down with Pup-Pup outside, he ordered "Simple" Egg + Toast for me, and Biscuit + Egg for him - along with a nice little almond/apple scone and a couple cups of coffee. Once ordered, you bring a little numbered stand to your table and wait for the delivery! Lesbian-owned and operated (a plus for us I might add), we awaited our food's arrival. Just off of 4th and on Cherry in Long Beach, it's an amazingly busy neighborhood - but our little dog attracted heaps of wonderful and kind attention, and we enjoyed the surroundings. Ah, yes- the food: Presentation is everything. Check the attached pic. Do the above dishes look yummy or what??? The bread, homemade, came with house-made preserves - OMG. To die for! The eggs, simply cooked and spiced, were wonderful. Same with the market salad for me. Hubby had the homemade Biscuit + Egg and (while a bit small for the price) loved it. Oh yes - we'll come again. They are not cheap - so don't expect it to be extremely affordable. But the fact the food looked and tasted homemade (really!) and the people working there are friendly, kind, and attentive? Yup. We'll come again. You should try it if you like good homemade food. I'm not talking "Dennys" homemade food- I'm talkin' REAL homestyle food. Amazingly good and we're sure you'll enjoy it too. Go!

Keeley L.

Yelp
WEOP as they like to be called, hits ALL the marks. Excellent customer service fantastic coffee/drinks (cappucino was incredible, in fact now that mention it I might have to go get one right now) delicious and unique pastries/treats, and good food. I have been here three times- once solo, once with my partner for an early breakfast, and on another occasion for an afternoon coffee and dessert with a good friend. It's been consistenly amazing in every way each time. The vibes are so great that each time I have enjoyed hanging out savoring my goodies in the small but somehow still sizeable seating area. It's beautiful inside especially for a small shop- I took pictures of the tiles and color scheme for my kitchen remodel inspo... attached several pictures of the food and some of the goods for sale inside. I can't emphasize enough how great the staff is. Just go, it's great.

Massiel M.

Yelp
I had the English Lavender Latte and it was amazing. The oat milk tasted very distinct and full bodied. The ambience was very calm and just a positive energy all around. The employees and owner were super friendly and you can tell they love coffee and respect the craft. 10/10 would recommend I love visiting places that pay attention to every detail of the customer experience, this place is definitely one of them.

Kathrine W.

Yelp
Consistently one of the best places for pastries and coffee in Long Beach! I love WEOP- their decor and signage make me feel so welcome and supported, and their seating area is really cute. Aside from all of that, it's also TASTY! I've had most of the coffee drinks there but this time got the rosemary latte. I was hesitant because I felt it may be to herby or savory. It was DELIGHTFUL! They make all their syrups in house, and it shows - it was milldly sweet and complimented the coffee perfectly. My only note would be to add half and half or cream as a milk option. Milk just doesn't do the trick if you wanna add some creamer to a coffee or americano.

Kelly W.

Yelp
My husband and I have been coming to Wide Eyes Open Palms since they opened. We always leave feeling so satisfied. Their baked goods are delicious and fresh. Their frittata is amazing. They serve side salads with most of their breakfasts. The biscuit and egg sandwich is the perfect size, and the biscuit is to die for. Crispy exterior and fluffy, buttery interior. The ricotta cake...YUM! And, the best walnut shortbread cookie ever. Most of all, we are very happy to come and be greeted by a welcoming crew that is all about diversity and serving the LGBTQ+ community and our friends, family, and allies.

Janan A.

Yelp
Great little spot with fresh food, good coffee, and great vibes! The owner Angie, who owns it with her wife, was really helpful and friendly. Angie said they opened it for their community and it really shows. We really appreciated the sign on the door mentioning no tolerance for homophobia, racism, transphobia, etc. We started with sharing a bomb gluten free blueberry financier-- it was moist, flavorful and had excellent texture. I'm gluten free and have had many mediocre pastries but this was excellent! My friend had a drip coffee (she's a coffee snob and liked it) and I had a delicious steamer of their house made cashew almond milk with honey. The food came quickly. My friend had the meat frittata with salad; the slice of frittata was a very generous size and she said the bacon in it was really good. I had the vegetarian frittata with salad and gluten free toast. Our meals were perfect: the salad was much more than a standard mixed green and was dressed nicely; the frittata was fluffy but still substantial and full of veggies and a nice cheese. We sat outside and got there before the Saturday brunch crowd, around 10am, so it was easy to get a spot. All around great experience between the good food and drinks and friendly, prompt service. It was so nice to meet Angie- we'll be back to support!

MaryAnn H.

Yelp
WEOP is a cute little place. Everything we've eaten there has been delicious and the staff is great! We have breakfast there every time we visit Long Beach.

Sarah M.

Yelp
FOOD / DRINK: I really like their food. I've had the breakfast sandwich and the frittata, and both are amazing. The breakfast sandwich has a delicious biscuit as the "bun," with eggs and greens in the middle, and meat + cheese + hot sauce as add-ons, and is reasonably filling if you get the whole shebang (however, it ends up being almost $20 for a breakfast sandwich, which is admittedly very steep, so I only get this as a treat). The frittata is on the more reasonable side (~$13), very veggie-forward and well-seasoned, and comes with a salad. I add on toast (which I think comes from Gusto and is amazing) to make it more filling. Their coffee is fantastic and they do serve mimosas. AMBIENCE: It's quite small, but they do have some outdoor seating near the sidewalk area which has about 4-6 tables for groups from 2 to 4 people. On the inside of the restaurant, there's minimal seating on small ledges abutting the walls, so it's more of a grab-and-go if seating is all taken. It's very inclusive with it's decor (similar to much of LB), which always makes me smile. You can tell it's a labor of love for the owners, it's got a cozy feel. The parking is tough around this area - there's a small paid lot across the street that fills up quick, as well as paid street parking (though free in the early morning on weekends). SERVICE: It's great. They check in on you after you're seated and eating even though it's an order-at-the-counter spot and are more than happy to offer recommendations for menu items or to-go pastries. Very friendly.

Maggie T.

Yelp
Really delicious coffee and friendly service staff. They are catered towards a plant-based clientele and are queer-owned. My partner and I love walking to this place on weekend mornings. They have delicious pastries for sale and other queer-centered novelty gifts and things. 10/10 no notes.

Heather L.

Yelp
The shmancy wins it all. Coffee mocktail with a vibrant orange flavor, a sparkling fizz, and some other notes...pricey but worth it. My friend had the cardamom latte and it was perfectly sweetened, not too overpowering, perfect flavor profile. The jam and ricotta toast was delicious. The bread is the chewiest, crispiest toast.. and the ricotta was a lovely savory against the saccharine orange marmalade. Their cafe doesn't have indoor dining yet and parking in the area can be a bit difficult but they have enough outdoor seating! It's a great place to chat with your friends and have a quick brunch

Bryson L.

Yelp
I'm so glad I finally tried this place. It had been on my to-do list for quite some time, but I only stumbled upon it after another brunch spot couldn't take us. I'm glad it happened because now this is one of my new favorite spots! The coffee and food here was fantastic and the service from the owners was so welcoming. The menu apparently changes seasonally. They use bread from Gusto which is fantastic, perfectly toasted, and golden brown. The coffee was nice and smooth too. Seating here is pretty limited just as a heads up, but they have a nice outdoor parklet. I can't wait to come back soon!

William S.

Yelp
Amazing food and even better customer service....the guava & almond butter with a lime is the best way to start your day! The vibe is comfortable and the staff is super friendly. 10/10 recommend for any and everyone

Mahealani S.

Yelp
This weekend I stopped by Wide Eyes Open Palms, a queer and womyn owned, specialty coffee and seasonal food cafe in Long Beach. The shop is owned by Kat and Angie, a married chef and barista duo! While their shop may be small, the flavors and love in this place are mighty. WEOP's menu changes with the seasons to ensure that every item is fresh and full of flavor. If it's not in season, you'll just have to wait until it comes back and after the meal I had, I have zero complaints about this way of thinking. Angie was behind the bar making suggestions on the menu (you know that feeling when everything looks good? Yeah, I was experiencing THAT), while Chef Kat brought plates of food out to guests on the patio. I ended up choosing an Iced Rosemary latte w/oatmilk and the seasonal farm frittata. Angie handed me a number and I walked over to a table on the patio. A few shorts minutes later, Kat appeared with my coffee, food and a smile. The latte was amazing and I'm sure it had everything to do with their house-made syrup. The market salad was tossed in olive oil, lemon juice and sprinkled with sea salt flakes - simple but refined. The butter toast? The perfect example of why bread and butter sit at the top of the food chain, truly remarkable. And the veggie frittata? OUT OF THIS WORLD. Long Beach isn't exactly in my neck of the woods but I'm ready to spend more time there after this meal.

Chris S.

Yelp
Food was pretty good here! Service was friendly, but the coffee was a bit lacking; regardless, I would still visit again to give it another shot since everything else was was on par.

Adam B.

Yelp
Amazingly tasty and healthy food. Super friendly staff. Highly recommended. I'll be coming back for sure.

Annie B.

Yelp
-Drinks- Picked up a latte with house nut milk and it was okay! The coffee wasn't strong so the milk definitely overpowered the coffee. Their pastries are very expensive! For a regular scone, it was ~$5! -Looks- The coffeeshop is so so cute! There is no indoor seating and some outdoor seating on tables in the street. Probably not an ideal place to study/work. -Other- Some street parking and a small parking lot for another set of restaurants/stores is across the street!

Yelp
Busy line for a quality cup of latte forms easily at one of the cool coffee shops in Long Beach. My choice of specialty drinks usually ends up with a Cardamon Latte with a light hint of sweetness, but the Rosemary Latte is something not to be missed for delicate herbal flavoring The coffee shelf is filled with high-quality selections from roasters around the country. Last I saw the cafe was using a batch from Heart Roastery from Portland, and supporting community roasters always earns a few points in my book. The stylish shop is filled with amazingly friendly and hip service. The artsy decor surrounds the storefront for a cutesy place for brunch. The community-focused artwork and bright environment only add to the passionate story behind this cozy space to serve delectable cups of coffee.

Yelp
Cute and bright little coffee shop with great pastries with GF and Vegan options too. There coffee is alway on point and they even have an in-house made nut-milk, love. Their breakfast sammie is perfect especially with that goat cheese, biscuit is nice and crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. The staff is always super friendly and has great recs whenever asked. They always have a lavender latte on the menu (most places have it seasonally only) so that is definitely a plus as well. Love this place

Yelp
Fully obsessed with the cafe! Stopped by during a very rare rain storm. Ordered the lemon ricotta cake and the dark chocolate mocha with oat milk. Both were delicious!

Yelp
This little mom and pop cafe is so so cute!! My friend and I came here for brunch on a Saturday and even at 10 AM, we didn't even have to wait a minute to find a seat outdoors! During COVID, customers aren't allowed into the cute place, but there is limited seating outside. There were plenty of people dropping by to get takeout, but we were able to order and get seated immediately! I ordered the breakfast sandwich - egg, arugula, and radicchio on a cheese and herb biscuit. For my drink, I ordered the cardamom spice latte. Both were absolutely delicious and came out very quickly after ordering! Will definitely stop by again once they start offering the cocotte!!

Yelp
It is a small hole in the wall cafe. The barista was so sweet. Me and my friend ordered a lavender drink. I thought the coffee was delicious but the lavender for me was a little too strong. The cookie was so chewy yet crunchy on the outside. I loved it. Definitely would come back and order a normal latte this time around.

Yelp
OMG! Our new fave breakfast spot in all of LB! Where do I begin?? 1. Service- SO friendly and welcoming! The owners clearly love their store, food, customers and life. 2. Food- Freaking amazing! The egg biscuit with goat cheese was beyond heavenly! We can't wait to come back and try the frittata that other diners were raving about! 3. Ingredients- All locally sourced, fresh and just.... beautiful! How can an egg taste that good?? Maybe because it was inside a chicken yesterday! Incredible products! 4. Ambiance- We met 2 other sets of diners who were so nice! We enjoyed wonderful conversation and noticed everyone else happily visiting with strangers too. SO welcoming and friendly! We can't wait to return!! Thank you for creating such a lovely, local, amazing place to gather and enjoy high quality, great fare!! (Sorry, no pics, we were too into enjoying to think of anything else!)

Yelp
It's pretty pricey here ($15 for an egg toast plate - with soft boiled egg, added goat cheese on the bread, side salad), but I love that they have so many gluten free options (almond cakes, financiers, muffins, etc.), which they make all in house! You can even sub gluten free sourdough bread for any of their toasts, which is what I did - it was chewy and delicious, one of the best gluten free breads I've ever had! I would go back for this. They also make their own almond cashew milk, & have a lot of unique flavored lattes! This is one of my favorite cafes in S. Cal. No indoor seating, though.

Yelp
This is a lovely spot in the neighborhood to grab a drink and some truly delicious baked goods. Friendly staff create a warm and welcoming vibe that complements the rest of the ambiance. Must tries: Chocolate chip sea salt cookies The breakfast sandwich with added goat cheese Ricotta toast Right now they're open weekends, so plan your visit accordingly.
