Wienerschnitzel

I was pretty excited that 1 of my fav places from back home growing up was by a friend's. Well we got there around 30mins before closing and the lady at the window told us that they didn't have much because they were close to closing. Something back home that would never happen ever. So I just said ok, got 3 Chilli dogs and Chilli chesse fries. To my surprise and my friends first time trying it, the hotdogs had slice hard chesse on both sides of the bun and my fries had hard chess on top with Chilli on top of it. Very disappointing first visit.

Food was pretty good. Hot dogs are small so order more than one. Fries are much better than whataburger and In-n-Out burger!

very clean. service excellent! first time here and I'll be back! the chili is great, flavorful. the buns are soft. jalapeno poppers were great! crunchy and spicy!

The chili-dogs alone are worth a road trip! Everything on the menu is good, and anything (hot dogs, burgers, fries, etc) with their chili on it is fantastic. The staff is always friendly. The prices are always reasonable, and good deals are available with their specials and family packs! The only down-side is their popularity can result in long lines, both inside and the drive-through. Wienerschnitzel never disappoints.

Wienerschnitzel brings me back to my childhood. I used to eat it often growing up sucks there aren’t more locations. This location is great the food is always HOT although a little skimpy when I get chili cheese fries I easily fixed that issue by paying for extra. So good 😊

The food wasn't bad the Hot Dog was Good. I paid $16 I got 1 hot dog, 1 large Mango lemonade, and Jalapeno poppers, got a little bit of food for $16. The young man working the front counter was nice, but didn't seem to excited about his job. It was 34 outside and wanted to sit down somewhere worm, it was freezing cold in the restaurant. I can honestly say I will never eat at any Wienerschnitzel ever again.

Once is enough. I got the 2 chili dogs and fries. Fries weren't crispy. The chili dogs don't come with cheese or onions so you'll pay extra for that. The chili was almost like cheap can chili. I couldn't eat the second one so I took a picture. The competition is so much better. I appreciate JCI more now

I would definitely recommend! My trashy hot dog and chocolate shake were amazing. 10/10 this was absolutely GASSSSSSS!!!!!!!

We ordered a Junkyard Dog, a Chicago Dog, some jalapeño poppers, and a Tasty Freeze dipped cone. The Junkyard Dog was okay, but the fries on it were a bit soggy, so I probably wouldn't order it again. Otherwise, no complaints about the food. We were the only ones there when we ordered, so our meal was prepared quickly.

Awesome food and service!! Ordered 2 chili dogs and french fries. They suggested i find a table and they would bring my order. A few minutes later my order was delivered to my table. The fries were so hot, unlike most other fast food establishments. The chili dogs were outstanding. Buns were perfect, the meat was tender and the chili was full of flavor. The food and service is outstanding!! Highly recommend this restaurant.

Went through the drive thru last week order 4 original chili dogs they were so salty we couldn't eat them. I mean they made your mouth extremely dry from the salt that's all you could taste. I guess if ya want to have a heart attack that's the place. To go

Loved it! Hadn't seen a wiener schnitzel in Houston and I couldn't wait to have it. It had been years ! Last time in cali of course. Price did go up a bit but totally worth it! Had a chili cheese dog and chili cheese fries and they were delicious!! Definitely coming back !! Can't wait to try the family bundles with the family and chili cheese tater tots. When it's chili cheese dogs this is the place to go! I went to Coney Island and no offense but it was very disappointing. Anyways thank y'all for the great late night meal! Also! Try their different lemonades

OK... Those stand-and-eat tables in the middle of this small joint? Gone! Stopped by there about a week ago and there are tables and chairs. Way to go, Wienerschnitzel!

I don't love fast food, but, if you get fresh fries from here, they are awesome. The Jalapeño poppers I had were terrific as well. They were hot and fresh. I had an all beef Chicago dog. It tasted pretty good, however, the texture was a little rubbery. It's so hard to do fresh hotdogs in fast food. I will say again, it tasted fine. I got an unsweetened tea and it was really good . Most drive thru tea is disgusting , this one was very good. I will def Come here again if I'm in this hood. (Der) Wienerschnitzel is a childhood friend , I'm glad it's still around.

HISTORICALLY (51years+) GREAT chili- cheese hotdogs. Prices have escalated from 19 cents each / 6 for $1.00 on Sunday in 1973 but, you can still get a volume discount and take the rest home and FREEZE THEM FOR LATER IN THE WEEK. Friendly, efficient staff.

Got to the drive thru at 9:58 the woman on the speaker was nice and was about to take my order. The girl taking the trash out yelled "we close at 10" I only drover here cause when I googled it said open till 12am.

I've never been and came from Kingwood to try them out. Everything was really cheap and bland. I was expecting a little bit more quality from a chain restaurant. The hotdog I had was good but I was just a little disappointed overall. Compared to someone who had Coney Island growing up, they can definitely learn a thing or two. The inside also wasn't kept up with too much considering we were the only customers when walking in. Tables hadn't been cleaned or swept underneath.

Stopped in here while on a road trip. Excellent service and food. Best fast food of our trip. Friendly and fast service.

It's actually really tasty, child friendly. And with a coupon very affordable. I have 5 kids. I am regular.

Just as I remembered from Cali!! I would have given them five stars, but they should have put in more tables and chairs, not enough for the crowds that were here. But, my chili cheese dogs and fries came out quickly and pipping hot! Very, Very Tasty!! I'll be back unless they get an even closer location to Pearland..

This place is awesome! Great customer service and food is served fast. I had only one problem she didn't hear me when I said I wanted two corn dogs and they fixed it for me. I appreciate them being super nice and not grumpy. I know it's just a fast food place but some people are honestly so grouchy all the time.

No longer a fan - food has been lackluster as of late and the last time I ate here, I ended up with food poisoning. I'm not sure how you mess up chili dogs and chili fries - but they did.

My favorite hot dog place. The food is delicious. I drive for forty minutes to get those Chilly Dogs with Cheese. You can make me happy with your friendly service and absolutely delicious menu. Where to begin? Growing up in SoCal there are a number of Fast Food Chains, and a few one-shots, that are close to a religion for natives. Der Wienerschnitzel is one of them. I fled the state for Houston in 2012 so, after 7 yrs...when I learned there was one just recently opened in New Caney.... One problem...It was in New Caney...and I don't drive...and Houston Metro only has a Park & Ride route to Kingwood. I ride a bike, though! And it is only 11 1/2 miles from the lot to get my fix! So, yesterday morning, bright and early, from SW Houston, I headed downtown to catch the bus to the boonies. Pedaling along 2 lane roads out into Rural Porter and New Caney, I finally got there. To say I was excited at the sight of the place and the menu would be an understatement, hee, hee! Not the familiar shack with a walk-up window and outdoor only seating, but I was not complaining! Plenty of seating inside, a friendly staff, and clean restrooms. Oh, and that menu! All the favorites I remember...slathered in Chili almost as good as that found at Original Tommy's (Another one of those Religious Experiences I mentioned earlier)...and, lest I forget, my favorite....the Polish Sandwich! $15 later I camped out at a table, one happy camper! The food was all as good as I remember from the Chili Dog & Chili Burger, the Corn Dog, and Polish Sandwich, even the Chili Fries, and I told the staff so. Word is that more outposts will eventually open in the Houston Area...hopefully closer to where I live...time will tell.

Finally!!! My prayers have been answered. Have been missing this place since the move to Texas. I don't mind the drive and when I got there the franchise owner said they will be opening more in the coming years!!! I got the usual, chili cheese fries, two corn dogs and a chili cheese dog. Now when I get a craving for Wienerschnitzel, I don't have to get it when I'm in CA. Great staff, clean place, and of course GREAT FOOD!!!

Clean inside. The weiner could be more tender. Such a far location, considering I drove from Sugar Land to see how this compares to the location in Orange County. Not the same. It was fresh though. Probably my first and last time here due to it being so far out of the city.

Grew up in So.Cal, this was a staple of my childhood. When I saw this location open I got so excited. Drove by for weeks in anticipation. I have been to this location at least 5 time in the few short months they have been open. It is all that I hoped and remembered. All hail the all beef chili cheese dog.

In comparison, it is better than JCI. Large thousand island fries were really good, big portion. Would return definitely. Dogs are really good too. Kids loved corn dogs and plain dog.

Best old fashioned Hot Dog and fries. They have all kinds. They have one with mayo and bacon? It was fantastic! I could eat their chili and onions with a spoon--sooo good. The orange dipped tastes freeze ice cream cone makes me stop by every time I'm in the area best ice cream cone I've ever eaten.

Hotdogs take me back to my childhood. Never out grew them. And you shouldn't either. Had the standard fare chili dog with cheese. These were quite good. The fries are shoe string fries. These were pale, so not the best I had. Overall a good place for chili dogs. Anything else, well, options are limited.

Make sure you check your receipt when you don't order one of their over priced sugar laden drinks. I asked for a paper cup to get water and was charged 75 cents. I was not told that when I ordered and only noticed when I happen to glance at my receipt at the table. I under stand profit margins, but I though their main commodity was hot dogs, not paper cups. I'm sure they made more profit selling a 3 cent cup for 75 cents, than they do on hot dogs. I won't go back.

I stopped by new Caney location to try a banana split today , I ordered it with no peanuts and no pineapple, when I arrive to the window a young gentleman with glasses greets me and I pay for my order. As I'm wait in my car , I look over and I see the gentleman and a female worker laughing and smiling while making my banana split , he noticed me looking and moved to where I couldn't see him making my order anymore , I thought it was a bit weird . When he gives my order , I drive off and park in front of their door just to make sure my order was right , and of course it's NOT !!! That is why they were laughing they put pineapple and threw strawberry on top of it thinking I wouldn't notice ! I got off went inside and as soon as they saw me the look on their face gave it away , the female with an attitude ask do you want me too remake it ! I'm beyond pissed off at the lack of their service at this location and too top it off the supervisor in charge didn't know how to work the register to give me my refund ! Will never return again and definitely do not recommend coming here !

i ordered chili cheese fries and the fries didn't even have chili on them unbelievable!!! go to mcdonald's instead it's next door!!!!!!!

I'll admit I pulled up 10 mins before closing. Ordered food with zero issue but somehow they turned their drink machine off‍... I' have never been told the drink machines are off we close in 10 minutes ... so I paid regular price for food with zero drinks and no discount or offered anything else. The food was good tho

The food and Staff was unappealing. Hot Dogs were cold. Wont go back. Yuuch!

Just as good as I remember then growing up in Amarillo! So happy that they're in the Houston area
