The 12 Must-Visit Restaurants in St. Pete-Clearwater | Eater

"Wild Child would be impressive enough if it existed only as a cocktail bar. With options like Pumpkin Up, made with sage brown butter-washed vodka, and their green-chile-infused Hot Lips, this restaurant in St. Pete’s Grand Central District is definitely whipping up new flavorful drink combinations. It’s also been called “easily St. Pete’s best restaurant” by critics. With dishes ranging from small plates (ceviche, shiitake mushroom dumplings), to full entrees and brunches (ribeye chilaquiles, kimchi eggs Benedict, piri piri chicken), this gem should be at the top of everyone’s list." - Stephen Rubino

Everything from the drinks to the appetizers to the main course was right on the money! The street corn croquettes were crispy, creamy and had a garnish of cheese and cilantro with peppers and a beautiful creamy smoky sauce underneath that made it the perfect bite! Fish tacos were perfectly crispy with a perfect amount of slaw and tartar! Korean fried chicken had well balanced flavors, and not too messy to eat! Best tasting burger I’ve had in a while, paired with the perfectly seasoned fries, and this was a meal to remember! Takeaways: ⭐️every bite was beautifully balanced ⭐️ you can make a meal out of apps alone ⭐️ go with friends so you can try what they get

Honestly this place was perfect in every aspect. From the drinks to the food to the service. First, our server was the best, she has glasses and long hair. She was the sweetest and most accomodating person. We started off with the croquettes. Epic. Tasted so delicious. The salad was the best!!!!!!!! The scallop crudo was epic. The steak was fatty, but it was good. I wish it was a filet lowkey. But still delicious. Mezcal watermelon drink holy FFFFFFF

Came to Wild Child for a family dinner. Excellent dining with chef driven menu on Central Ave. Creative Culinary kitchen with love and soul. Flavor comes first here. I love this weeks Asian influenced inspired menu. Definitely need to return.

Google
Fun weekend in St Pete that happened to culminate in a delicious meal at Wild Child. After taking in the some other great offerings nearby we decided to make the trek to Grand Central district and happy we did. The vibe was fun and energetic and then at Wild Child we got an outdoors seat and despite being June the temps were good and the environment was fantastic. Once the food arrived I knew we made a good decision just based on the look, but don’t take my words and picture for it, go try for yourself 😋

Was really excited to try Wild Child, so many of my friends hyped it up for a long time. We went for an aniv dinner because we wanted somewhere that was a little bit more low key. We ended up in the inside dining area and sat by the window. It was small but done beautifully. The only issue was it was so loud inside, I couldn’t hear my husband the whole night without screaming back and forth. The inside echoed so much. Food wise, my favorite thing was the tuna app. Our octopus was over cooked and chewy. The main dish looked beautiful but fell a bit short with the Lima beans, and I didn’t finish it. Also, I don’t drink so I ordered a mocktail, it was good. However they charge $15 for a mocktail, which is the same price for a cocktail with liquor, which doesn’t make sense to me. My husband had the steak with fries and I tried it and it was good and I preferred his meal Over the one I ordered. Everything was plated beautifully though.

One of the best meals I have ever had in my life, including eating at some of the best restaurants in the world in San Francisco for 7 years during grad school! Just stop by if you can't get a reservation and eat at the bar, or wait until it slows down a bit. It is totally worth the wait! Do not miss the goat cheese stuffed squash blossoms. That might be the best thing I've ever eaten, anywhere in my entire life, and I have eaten all over the world! The street corn croquets were also extraordinary and the Gai Yang Chicken was a lemongrass, tamarind revelation. It was honestly all we could do not to lick our plates. If you are anywhere near St Petersburg, Florida don't miss eating at Wild Child!

Google
Stopped by for a quick brunch with my mom during the big Pride street fair. We had an amazing time and were seated super quickly even though it was supposed to be a 30 minute wait! Food and drinks were incredible, I had the Gem Lettuce salad with an Aperol Spritz- 10 out of 10!! Service was fantastic too. Will absolutely coming back

Google
From the moment we sat down, the service was exceptional—attentive, warm, and truly made us feel welcomed. The menu was a refreshing departure from the ordinary, offering creative dishes and drinks that were as visually stunning as they were delicious. Every bite was a delightful surprise, blending flavors together in a very thoughtful way. The atmosphere added to the uniqueness, making it more than just a meal—it was an experience. If you’re looking for something beyond the traditional restaurant outing, this is the place to go. Highly recommend!

Yelp
If you're reading this you should be making your reservation for Sunday brunch! The food was incredible and honestly the best brunch I've had in a long time. The menu has good variety and something for everyone, including drinks. Our server Hannah was great and she even gave us recommendations for what else to do in St Pete since it was our first time visiting. The restaurant looks so fun and had a great vibe to kick off our Bach trip. Highly recommend!

Yelp
We've been wanting to come here ever since we moved to St Pete a couple of years ago. And, I'm happy to say, it lived up to the hype!! The food was so delicious, the service was warm, attentive and professional. And we sat outside for drinks before dinner, and then inside for the dinner itself, and both were very pleasant experiences. Our cocktails were delicious, and perfectly balanced. I'll come back just to sit outside and have cocktails with friends. Yummmm! The food was truly exceptional. I had the paella which is a meat-free dish. The serving was large and the taste was so satisfying. Both my husband and our friend loved their dishes, too (both meat eaters). Come, eat, drink. You will NOT be disappointed!

Yelp
What a great dining experience! Came here with a group of ladies for brunch, reservations are recommended and may even be a requirement for Sunday. We were seated outside and the weather was beautiful. Everyone really enjoyed their meals. My dining partners had the butternut squash croquettes, the blueberry pancakes, the goat cheese omelette, and the avocado toast, which they all said were fantastic. I split two meals with my friend and had half of the Kimchi Benny, half the Carne Asada breakfast tacos, and a Megamosa, which is just a mimosa served in a wine glass instead of a champagne glass. Both meals were great, but I was surprised to have liked the breakfast tacos more. The Kimchi Benny was topped with pork belly, and when I've had it in the past it's always been tender and crispy. This was tough, and I was a little disappointed by that. I think my favorite were the potatoes. They were crispy and absolutely delicious. They are soooo good, I want to go back just for more potatoes, but I would definitely come back here to try the avocado toast and the tuna tostadas. Service was okay for a busy Sunday.

Yelp
Finally got to Wild Child for the first time and I'm bummed it took me this long! I ordered the Lost Weekend cocktail with mezcal, split the brussels + ceviche + chicken entree. I loved the drink, and the brussels sprouts were some of the best I've ever had. The vinaigrette that was on them was really special. The ceviche was delicious too, the seafood fresh and the crisps crispy! The chicken was great, but nothing exciting after being so obsessed with everything else I ate. I also ate some of my friend's fries, which were fantastic. Can't wait to come back and try more soon!

Yelp
To my brunch baddies, this place is a MUST! Where to start... Let's start with the basics: Reservations highly recommended especially on the weekends. There's indoor/outdoor seating. Indoors is quite small. Large parties would be better in the patio outdoor area. (Our party of 6 sat outside) The Food Island Faroe Benny- Huge portion and delicious. I love benedicts... minus the ham part so this was perfect! Blueberry Masa Pancakes- OMG. If there's ever any doubt about ordering this, just DO IT. Fluffy and the right amount of sweetness. Kim Chi Benny- If you like pork belly and kimchi, this is for you! Truffle fries- Crispy and the garlic aioli it came with; I need a whole jar!! The burger- The kids had this and they said it's the best burger they've ever eaten! And kids are pretty honest. What's brunch without an adult drink?? The espresso martini was well balanced and had all the aromas expected from an espresso and a martini combined. Great service and the hipster brunch vibes are all there! Oh, and I love the bathroom wallpaper :) PS- Parking is... what downtown parking is expected to be. Go early to secure parking.

Yelp
First... I'll tell you all of a mistake I made. I guess from all the pictures and the people I've talked to. I thought this was a breakfast place. It turns out breakfast is a definite afterthought. My nice waitress laughed at me when I told her I thought it was a breakfast place and she told me we should definitely need to come back for dinner. She said dinner is the best. So was the brunch food good... Yes. I had the pancakes with a fancy name. They were lemon flavored with blueberries. Very good. I didn't put much of the sauce on the pancakes... I'm not really a sauce guy. My wife got a chicken sandwich with a very tasty flavor on it. Good food, clean but very busy restaurant, and great service. Will definitely have to try dinner.

Yelp
Tried this place for the first time and it was a great experience! We came for lunch with a group of 10 and they were able to accommodate us well. There is a small indoor area with a few tables, but a majority of the seating is under their patio area, which is outdoors. We were seated near the back, so it was a bit hot with the sun shining on us. The service was good but a bit slow. I ordered the Kimchi Benny which was very flavorful with the citrusy yuzu hollandaise sauce and the sweet tangy-ness of the kimchi. The pork belly however was a bit dry and tough, but the yuzu hollandaise definitely helped. Others ordered the Carne Asada Breakfast Tacos, which were good but nothing too crazy. So overall, very cute place with good food. I would recommend trying them out for breakfast.

Yelp
My friend took me here for a Birthday night out. We had a blast. Delicious food, even better drinks. In fact, I fell in love with the porn star martini here.
google avatar

Susan M.

Yelp
Of course the food is amazing! The appetizers are so delicious and I loved the Korean chicken sandwich. The highlight was our server Kaitlyn. She is so fantastic and what a great personality. She was attentive and very professional. I plan to celebrate every Birthday with Wild Child!

Yelp
I got to pick a place for dinner and this was my choice. A mixed bag to be sure. Our server was friendly and attentive, definitely on the ball, but the kitchen was maybe having an off night. We had a couple of cocktails, several small bites, and one of us got a burger. Drinks were good but not great, food was the issue for the evening, starting with the menu because the one we were handed was not the same menu as they have online, but we decided to go for it. We started with the fried calamari. The batter / breading was as light, as crisp, as delicate as any I've ever had. Frankly it was amazing, and the dish tasted amazing, but the squid itself was tough and rubbery. So... Being the first dish it kinda set the tone for the rest of the meal. Tuna Tostadas were bright and fresh and super tasty! Big chunks of fish, and sauced perfectly! Yay! But then, the Shiitake Mushroom Dumplings were gummy and tasted mostly of vinegar. Boo. Pork belly was cooked perfectly, crispy and fatty, which would have been perfect if the sauce wasn't so cloyingly sweet as to take away any meat flavor that might fave been there, and the kimchee it came out on had no flavor at all. Boo. Charred Brussels Sprouts were a big hit, probably the best thing we had all night. Seasoned and cooked perfectly and plenty to share with the table. Yay! The burger, sadly, was overcooked and meh, left half uneaten, along with the lackluster fries.

Yelp
We hadn't been here in a while, but happy to be back. They expanded to a nice outdoor area and even with the cold weather this week the heaters kept it very comfortable. It's a limited menu but what they have is very good. We just worked the small plates menu. The ceviche, shiitake mushroom dumplings, tuna tostadas, and calamari made it a great experience. They take reservations which is great!,
google avatar

Heather N.

Yelp
We didn't have a reservation on a Saturday so we were at a high top on the patio. It's cute out there, our server was nice. The pork belly was amazing! The tuna tostadas also very good. The Korean fried chicken sandwich was just as guilty as it sounds--very good and so messy. Overall it was a fantastic dinner!
google avatar

Stacy A.

Yelp
What a great place! One thing I didn't love is you need a credit card on file to make a reservation, but o well I guess, just adds some unneeded stress. The food was very good, I thought the veggie and herb pairings were all very sophisticated and well thought out. I loved the mushroom dumplings, they are served in a soy broth and have spring onions and carrots on top. I also got the octopus and the sauce on the plate is delicious! Would definitely go back!
google avatar

Yelp
From the moment I walked in, I was taken by the look and feel of the place. The menu was distinctive and the flavors that came along with the food was delicious. The service was great... attentive, great suggestions and pleasant throughout.
google avatar

Nicole G.

Yelp
Popped by Wild Child for brunch this past Saturday.... There were two of us, so we ordered the Mushroom and Goat Cheese Omelet and the BEC sandwich. The Mushroom and Goat Cheese Omelet was good, but there was no specific wow factor... It needed a sweet component to it to round out the flavors. The BEC (bacon, egg, and cheese) sandwich was SO yummy - the English muffin had a nice char to it and the bacon was perfectly cooked and crispy. The accompanying home fries had great flavor and texture. The vibe was great... We sat inside, but the outdoor seating area was lively and cool. I will be back for a drink at the bar. We did not order drinks, but I did order a coffee. For two people and the above dishes, the total was $33.17 w/out tip.
google avatar

Whitney W.

Yelp
Just about anything you order on this menu will impress. The offerings are creative and delicious. Same goes for the cocktails. Unique and tasty. Friendly service. Both inside and outside courtyard seating is available. It's a great place for date night or girls night out. I'll go there again and again.

Yelp
Been here once before, over a year ago & had sat outside at the bar, which was a lot of fun. This time we were inside - mostly two top tables inside. I kind of hated the chairs (very low on the back, booth side is far from the table) but that's just a personal preference, my partner didn't mind at all. This time we went for Sunday brunch & ordered the kimchi benny + the breakfast tacos. Breakfast tacos were very solid & I loved that they came with lime + tons of herbs. Eggs were perfectly cheesy. Not sure if chorizo was a little bit cold or if it just cooled quickly because I was directly under the AC. I will say that I think what I had last time - the Turkish eggs - were better & I will get those instead next time, but I just wanted tacos today & these hit the spot. Partner loved the pork belly on the KB & I did too, even though I'm not usually a fan. Egg was a little under from the normal level of poached on a Benedict, but if you like that - go for it. He loved the yuzu hollandaise. Potatoes were excellent, I think they have rosemary or something? Super good. Drinks were mostly Prosecco with a splash of juice, which is my preferred, so I liked them. Overheard the table next to use being told the watermelon juice is squeezed in house, so I'll definitely try that next time! Our server - Willow, I believe (though maybe it was Willa) - was very kind & was the perfect amount of attentive :) We'll be coming back to try the fall menu whenever it debuts, bc this place was very solid! Recommend!

Yelp
Went to Wild Child's brunch & I got the Caesar Salad with Grilled Chicken. My friends and I had a great time here! The vibe is eclectic, upbeat and cool. The brunch selection was really great and they had good amount of options. The croutons in my salad were sooooooo good, and the vinaigrette was bomb!!! Definitely one of the best salads I've had in St Pete. Our service was also very nice! Friendly and approachable staff

Yelp
I've eaten here a few times since they opened, and the food is always delicious. There are some fun appetizers on the menu that you can't get anywhere else

Yelp
I made a reservation for Friday night at 6:30 a few weeks ago. And then yesterday the top 30 restaurants from Tampa Bay times food critic came out and this restaurant was near the top, glad we got in before the masses. It has been around a few years and I've tried to go before, but just hadn't made it. We enjoyed a couple cocktails, including flannel szn and spicy margarita. They have a great cocktail list along with nonalcoholic options and beer and wine. We split the butternut squash and goat cheese croquettes, the brussels sprouts and the Korean fried chicken sandwich. All had amazing flavor profiles. They really take the time to make each dish special. The service was fantastic. We did not feel rushed at all. The dining room is quite small however they do have outdoor seating and a covered semi outdoor space. They also have heaters for when it is colder. Parking is street parking only and can be a challenge. Look forward to going back for brunch. Enjoy!

Yelp
This place is a vibe! I've passed it a few times and it is always busy. The day before we went I looked to get a reservation and they were all gone. We decided to give it a chance and went right when they opened. I guess showing up early worked as there were enough seats inside for some walk-ins. We decided however to sit outside at the bar which is first come first serve. The outside area has more seating than the inside and it felt good to eat outside in the nice weather. So many good options on the menu but I decided to go for the tacos. It doesn't look like a lot but it is. Couldn't finish all three tacos. My friend was a fan of her french toast and when the food came around we ordered a side of potatoes. Minutes later they came and they were delicious! The bartender was very attentive with the whole bar area being full on top of making drinks for all the other tables. I will be coming back for sure!

Yelp
I checked out this place before First Friday recently, and I had a great time! The location is on Central Avenue, but about 2 miles from all of the hot bars. The spot is a bit smaller than I anticipated. We made a reservation in advance and were seated with no problem. We got the watermelon cocktail with mint leaves. It was very good and refreshing, but not super strong. We split the octopus as an appetizer. It was very interesting and unique, unlike any other octopus dish I have ever had. It was also a bit spicy. We then split the jerk chicken for our main meal. It was also very good, but spicy. We were not expecting that from both of the things that we ordered. I like how they switch up their menu often though, so I am excited to try something new when I do return.
google avatar

Mara M.

Yelp
We came here with some friends and all really enjoyed ourselves here! Servers were really friendly and helpful, service was fast, food and drinks were excellent and the ambiance was upbeat and lively. We sat outside but there is both indoor and outdoor seating. It is dog friendly. I tried the mood ring and porn star martini and both were excellent although the mood ring was pretty heavy on the gin (definitely not a complaint, just a warning :P). The VET (vegan sandwich) was delicious as were the breakfast potatoes. Everyone also really liked the salmon and kimchi benedicts and tuna tostadas. Would definitely come back and recommend!

Theresa M.

Yelp
Met two friends there,5:30 plenty of tables ,a small inside area.HAPPY Hour from 5-6:30 Not cheap 8.00 margarita didn't taste any tequila. We shared Korean chicken sliders 3 $14.00;mushroom dumplings 5 $16.and Brussels sprouts small plate $16.with chopped vegetables. All were very disappointing with the exception of the sprouts, they had a great vinaigrette drizzle and were cooked to perfection, the dumplings were chewy rubbery in a sauce that no spoon was provided. The sliders were very buffalo sauce nothing that said Korean except for the kimchi. Two of us had the cheeseburger and it came with fries $19.00 i]t was a cheeseburger, the other two had the special shrimp (tiny) taco 2 corn tortillas with salsa,it was way too crispy to eat crunchy!
google avatar

Yelp
Stopped by tonight for a few appetizers. Eclectic menu it is. Butternut squash and goat cheese croquettes had no tart goat cheese flavor. Tasty but a bit one dimensional. Salmon takati was very flavorful but eclectic direction from the croquettes for a menu. Great energy and vibe. Owner, who beat Bobby Flay, working everything from serving to busing tables. Great dedication. Maybe time to enjoy his celebrity and chat a bit more with customers.
google avatar

Uros D.

Yelp
The food is incredible and well worth the short to medium wait. The fish green curry was outstanding and is spicy enough for spicy lovers for sure - the octopus kimchi appetizer is so refreshing and perfectly cooked. Would return in a flash!
google avatar

Jared M.

Yelp
This is the kind of place you could enjoy a weekend afternoon for drinks and food. They have indoor and outdoor seating, but the outdoor area is really nice. I sat at the outside bar for a cocktail and the grilled octopus appetizer. The portion was on par for the price. The octopus was fairly tender but, unfortunately, was one of the more bland octopuses I've ever tried. The rest of the dish (which included kimchi and shishitos) was good but didn't blend with the octopus. Despite that, the cocktail and environment were great, and the rest of the menu looked good, so I would definitely try them again.
google avatar

Mallory D.

Yelp
We went here for Brunch. The food was good, but to me it was just extremely overpriced. An Omlette for 16$ ?? Eggs Benedict for $20?? I know times are tough, but... yikes you can get a steak dinner for a few more dollars. You are definitely paying for the location here and not the food. We got drinks and they were pretty good. some people ordered things as their meal that came out looking like an appetizer (they had to eat somewhere else soon after we left) The menu just listed everything out so you can't tell what is more of an appetizer. We sat outside, nothing special about that or memorable about the decor. Overall: The food(portion, quality, taste) 2/5 The drinks - 4/5 the service - 3/5 The price - 1/5
google avatar

Lacy H.

Yelp
This is a really good spot for brunch. There's ~one vegan option, but bless the skies, it isn't a salad so that's okay in my book! Brunch drinks are good too! There's a ton of outdoor seating, which will be nice in the cooler weather. Service is speedy, staff are nice. Vegan meal is an egg (just egg) and vegan cheese sandwich with avocado and a side of potatoes (which were underwhelming). The sandwich was delicious though!!
google avatar

Yelp
Brunch outdoors in the summer is rough, it was so hot we had a hard time focusing on what to order. Luckily before our food arrived the hostess was able to move us indoors which we were so appreciative of. The Found Weekend watermelon drink we ordered was so refreshing we all enjoyed it. Perfect for a hot day. I ordered the Kimchi Benny and was surprised I didnt enjoy it very much. The flavors individually were good however I felt that there was something about combining these flavors that didnt go well with me. I'm not sure if maybe the red flakes on top were too much but some bites were saltier than others and I had a hard time finishing this. The concept seems good but the plating just didnt match my expectation. However my friends ordered other dishes and were happy with their choices. If you're a fan of salmon, a friend of mine really enjoyed the Island Salmon Benny, I also tried a bite of this and it was good! If I return I think I would like to try the Turkish eggs.

Yelp
Holy hell! I stopped here on Friday night for a dinner date and was blown away by everything. Wild Child is a very cool restaurant located on Central in the Grand Central area. It has such a unique vibe with its outdoor concept part. My date and I split two appetizers and one entrée. Our waitress was named Sara, and she was incredible, as she recommended some great choices. The menu is seasonal and rotates. I didn't even take photos of our fish tacos for the main course, but they were so good. Sara: 9.7 Food: 9.3 Scale system 10/10 would be what I want for my last meal 9.9-9.3 driving out of my way to get this 9.2-8.0 like the place and would go back 7.9-7.0 I would come here again if it were presented and don't have anything bad to say 6.9 and below - thanks but no thanks after trying once
google avatar

Jenny G.

Yelp
I don't normally rate on this but we arrived right at opening time at 5 Pm. We were told 7 PM was earliest seating for 4. Just opened and 2 hour is the earliest? Meanwhile patio had no one on it. I guess that is what it is. The worst part which is why we decided to review was the complete lack of hospitality at the check in podium by the 2 ladies. Like a quick 'no' and not a care in the world. It was rude and I'm not the only one that thought that. I'd like to mention, I hardly ever complain and almost never on Yelp. But the staff could use some training on a spirit of servitude and smiling. Friendliness along with a 'no' can go long way.
google avatar

Ellen P.

Yelp
All the food was solid! Only thing is that all the plates are huge so would recommend sharing apps and entrees. Service and vibes were good too!
google avatar

Aswathy K.

Yelp
Came here for my best friend's bachelorette. Smooth process of reserving a table through Resy. Indoor seating is very limited unfortunately so we were initially seated outside. But the restaurant was super accommodating and got our group of six a table inside! This was great especially for one member of our group who is several months pregnant and had a rough time with the heat outside. Appreciate the staff for this. The food was pretty good. The portions could easily be shared between two people. We loved their special drink which was the frozen dragon fruit Moscow mule, very delicious and pretty. Highly recommend the fries too with the garlic aioli sauce. I think they have a rotating menu since the menu we got didn't quite match what was online. I got the red snapper which was a rice and curry type dish, the mangoes were a great addition. All in all a solid dining experience!
google avatar

Heaven T.

Yelp
The first time I ate here, I had octopus. The most recent time, I had octopus tacos. Both were absolutely delicious. I love that their menu rotates and has new offerings every so often. I also love that, for the most part, Wild Child's selections are not items you can get at every over cool restaurant concept around. My friends at the table ordered calamari that I tasted and I loved that as well. Parking is always a challenge, but especially so when it's peak time. If you have a reservation I highly recommend factoring time to find parking and walk.
google avatar

T S.

Yelp
Just wild about Wild Child! I sampled every vegan and vegetarian option. Perfectly crispy yet fluffy paella, creamy whipped ricotta with charred toast, squash blossoms, surprise empanada & delicious dumplings! The peach burrata salad could have used some salt otherwise everything was flawless. We even got the fries. Every thing was delicious and well balanced. A perfect blend of drinks and dishes that hit all the right notes. Aperol spritzed with the best of them, N/A passion fruit marg was a winner. I'll definitely return, with a rotating menu of exceptionally executed dishes like the amazing goat cheese stuffed squash blossoms and a winning empanada I can't wait to see what is next! Service was prompt and courteous and decor was cool. Dunedin Highland house is sure to excel with this chef at the helm! For now I will just brave downtown St. Pete parking for this flavor party!

Yelp
We've been wanting to come here for a while now , they are always busy we ended up finding a 5 pm reservation which was a bit early for dinner. It was cold outside so the hostess was friendly and found us a spot inside since we had one toddler in our group. The cocktails were balanced and good. All of the food was also good! We had a few apps: Brussels Tuna Croquettas Then my husband and I had the jerk chicken our friends had the whole fish and duck . The duck was a little dry. I felt the price point was a little high based on what we got , but overall had a good experience .

Yelp
This is my new favourite spot in the St. Pete area. Right off of central next to a lot of other great spots. The atmosphere is nice as well. The few times I've gone though the wait has been at least 30mins but honestly the food is worth it. My friend and I split two appetisers and they were both equally as delicious. The mussels were in such a great sauce we almost drank it out of the bowl lol. The octopus was cooked to perfection and you get more than just one tentacle which is nice. We both had beers and a cocktail each. Sorry not pictured but both were great! Exited to try this place more as I have noticed their menu changes occasionally. Cheers!

Yelp
I thought the service was fast, and the ambiance was charming. I only ordered one drink; the presentation was beautiful, but the taste fell flat. The Brussels Sprouts are perfect for sharing and was my favorite dish. The Caesar salad was fresh and had a fun spin with the avocado. It's a small establishment, and I love the vibe they bring to the area.

Yelp
Its my second time here. The restaurant has 3 sections to it; bar, outside and inside restaurant. This is a low key place where you can wear what ever you want. Food is great, service is friendly and finding parking not that hard. Menu changes periodically and some items stay on the menu. In general its a rate breed in Tampa bay to find food that great! The only reason i gave it 4/5 stars as i really miss coffee/ espresso/ teas with my meal. This is one amazing place! Please open one in Tampa

Yelp
Let me start with the staff is so friendly! A few weeks back I tripped walking up to the restaurant, they helped me off the ground, and made sure I was okay, so embarrassing. Then...I waited at the bar where the bartender accidentally spilled a drink on me, and was offered a free drink. finally my friends arrived and we ordered drinks at our table and a few apps to share. Food is creative, menu changes and the flavor is outrageous in all the dishes. I'm a fan of everything so far I've tried- notably the beet salad, Brussels sprouts, and the snapper curry. I wish I took pictures because the presentation is pretty too!

Yelp
Wild Child never disappoints!! Back in December 2023, and while it's an updated menu, each dish is still excellent. We had: -Shrimp and snapper ceviche: Bright, zesty, and super fresh, with huge chunks of fish and shrimp, along with avocado. The tortilla chips (think one big fried circular tortilla versus triangle chips) that came with it were also amazing and strong enough to hold the ceviche when used to dip. -Bacon-wrapped, chorizo-stuffed dates: The dates were so big, sweet, and soft (not tough like some dried dates), with perfectly cooked, salty and crispy bacon on the outside. I'm not a huge chorizo fan so I probably would have preferred cheese in the middle, but the flavor definitely worked and my husband loved it. -Beet salad: Huge! I got this as a side to my main course (which was also technically an appetizer), and I could have had it on its own. It also works as a dessert! Sweet beets, orange, and grapefruit with charred avocado and candied nuts. A nice chunk of soft burrata in the middle, which balanced the sweet flavors perfectly. -Octopus tacos al pastor: INCREDIBLE. I will forever get tacos of any kind when I go back to Wild Child. Arranged perfectly to have the right tortilla-meat-topping ratio, and the corn tortillas were some of the best I've ever had. Fresh and homemade. This is technically an appetizer (or a "small plate"), but if you get enough other small plates as I did, it's MORE than enough food. Outstanding. -My husband got the cheeseburger as his main, which is always fantastic. The only negative is that it was super busy on a Saturday night, so service got slower as the meal went on, so we could tell our mains were sitting a bit before they came to us and weren't piping hot and we had to ask another waitstaff for silverware. But honestly, none of that bothered us, since the food was so darn good. Make a reservation to sit indoors, which is on the tiny side. The patio looks like an awesome ambiance, would try that next time!

Yelp
This consistently booked restaurant did not disappoint! With all the rave reviews, I doubted they would be able to pull off paella but they did and then some. I ordered the vegan paella really wondering how anyone could make this dish good with vegetables but I was AMAZED. It simply must be tried if youre a real foodie. Their drinks are stellar- strong and well balanced. This is great date spot because it is trendy, the food is impressive though not expensive and it is casual but not sloppy/beach casual. Lol Their sidewalk patio is dog friendly! They also have a large covered deck with a bar and that's always packed. There is an interior as well

Yelp
Loved it. We went on a Friday, and even though it was decently busy, the wait staff was attentive and friendly. The Korean Fried Chicken Sandwich was so good, and the drinks and dessert (Sweet Corn Tres Leches) were fannnnntastic!

Yelp
This was our third attempt at Wild Child. When they opened in our neighborhood, and saw they had vegetarian options, we were determined to check it out. Unfortunately, on our first two attempts, they were sold out of the vegetarian option, which left nothing for my date. However, third time's a charm and they had the whole menu and an outdoor table so we could bring the pups. We split the two vegetarian options-a mushroom paella and an impossible burger. Both were delicious. I'm not going to 5 stars for two reasons. First, the burger-while very good-wasn't the best veggie burger you can get in Saint Pete. Second, although the paella was excellent, I thought the scorched top to the rice was odd. It was like they broiled it and burnt the top layer of rice. Whether that was to give it a crisp or crunch or maybe some other reason, i actually think the burnt rice took away from the dish. Still, both entrees were very enjoyable. We also split an appetizer of butternut squash and marscapone croquettes. They were delicious balls of goodness. My drinks were also fantastic-a mezcal drink called big trouble in little cynar, and boulevardier, which was a bourbon drink similar to a Manhattan. The mezcal was better but both were very good. Service was excellent. Our server was friendly and efficient and great at her job. I'm looking forward to coming back for more drinks and trying out the rest of the menu.

Yelp
Wow. Is all I have to say. The food and service were absolutely spectacular. This was one of the best meals I've had in St. Pete, along with cocktails. The atmosphere is very welcoming and has a chill ambiance. The service was excellent - quick, accommodating, and friendly. This is a must try for foodies in St. Pete, or simply someone looking to tantalize their taste buds. 11/10 Wild Child!

Yelp
Recommended by a local resident. 3 of us have eaten some spectacular meals this vacation but Wild Child was supreme! We ordered 6 small plates so we could try lots of the delicious sounding dishes. The perfect choice! My favorites were crispy Brussels sprouts and butternut squash and goat cheese croquettes . The mushroom dumplings were divine, as was calamari, beet salad and pork belly. The sauces and spices blended beautifully and each morsel was so savory. Cocktails were unique, too, and delicious . Service was swift and friendly. A wonderful evening, I can't wait to return.

Yelp
Been to wild child twice now and it never disappoints. The food is Asian & Spanish inspired and is delicious! Coming from an Asian, it's a nice twist and has great flavors!!! I think their chef (whoever it is) does a great job respecting the original flavors while adding a new flare. Cocktails here are always amazing! Beautifully crafted and have refreshing flavors. Mood ring is always refreshing (empress gin is my fav), gin/tonic with peppercorn is amazing and recently had the Bad bunny with mezcal and carrot juice - smoky and smooth! Their menu is constantly changing but the Lamb ribs are a must! The Tiger ribeye was delicious, nouc Cham was very spot on with authentic Vietnamese nouc Cham and perfectly done! Bravo to their chef. Jerk chicken was spicy and chicken was cooked perfectly. Highly recommend if you are in the St Pete area
