Clarksville, Tennessee’s Best Restaurants and Bars | Eater Nashville

"Brunch takes a decidedly Southern twist at Wild Flour Bake Shop. Satiate your sweet tooth with the scratch-made cinnamon roll French toast or try the homemade biscuit sandwich piled high with ham, bacon, sausage, egg, and pimento cheese. Diners on the go can snag a selection of pastries and bread made fresh daily or get their caffeine fix with a flavored latte. Wild Flour also has a dinner-friendly second location at 116 Salem Road with new chef David Kumm (Firelime food truck) at the helm." - Celina Colby

What a hidden gem!!! Atmosphere was great, service was phenomenal but the food….a culinary delight!!! I had the Brisket Hash, it was AMAZING!!! I AM SO EXCITED this is 5mins from my house and plan to bring all my out of town guests here. My mom has the Denver omelet with potatoes and homemade buttermilk biscuit. Nothing was left on the plate. Seriously, one of the best places.

Google
Unbeliavable great tiny place hidden. Excellent food. Amazing service. The biscuits are amazing made from scratch. Products from local produce. The ladies were the sweetest at all times. Very little seating area, but somehow it feels like mom's heart... there's always room for one more 😍 Breakfast and brunch all day ❤️

Google
Lovely place. Very limited seating area. Quite a few specials on the giant chalk board. A good variety of different ways to have a breakfast sandwhichs. I recommend this location. The staff was very friendly.

We pulled into here just before rush hour on a Sunday morning. The definition of a bistro fits this restaurant perfectly. We ordered the avocado toast which was done up very nicely with all the fixings. Most of the party eggs benedict which came to its notoriety in New York City as a hangover cure. No in our party was hungover but loved the flavor and freshness of their version of the Benedict. Me being the only one hungover ordered the hangover bowl. Gravy mashed potato scrambled eggs and special seasonings made this extra flavorful and a pleasure to eat in my opinion. Most times when eating breakfast bowls I have to add salt and pepper or hot sauce and this one did not need that because it had all the flavor you could want or need. I will be returning to try to get my 11th free coffee because who doesn't like free stuff.

Absolutely delicious! Every dish we tried at Wild Flour was beautifully presented & full of flavor. You can really tell the care that goes into the ingredients & preparation. The atmosphere is charming, making it a lovely place to enjoy a special meal. My only small wish is that there were just a bit more space inside. It can feel a little tight when it's busy. But honestly, the food & experience more than make up for it. Highly recommend!

Visiting from out of town and my daughter and son in law brought us here for breakfast. Food tasted great! Excellent customer service and wonderful atmosphere. Great establishment! Highly recommend! Support your local community!

We stopped at Wild Flour Bistro for brunch on a Saturday morning and had a great time. This is a busy little place but the wait is worth it! The food is made from scratch in the kitchen and the portions are huge. The service was friendly and they were able to make recommendations. The atmosphere is very cozy and comfortable.

Google
Omg so amazing!!! First time coming and we enjoyed this little brunch restaurant so much! We were trying to go to Keke’s but it was packed so we came here and didn’t regret it. The space is small but comfy and the food comes out pretty quick! You got to try the cinnamon French toast w bacon and pecans🤤it melts in your mouth. Thank you so much for the wonderful experience

Yelp
First time visiting since moving to Clarksville and I'm impressed! The shop is fairly small, but there's definitely sufficient seating. We went after church around 11:30, and only had to wait around 15 minutes for a table. There are some comfy blue chairs outside the establishment to sit in while waiting. We had the Kids French toast with Bacon and two breakfast sandwiches which were delish.

Yelp
Okay, my family and I just left here and this review couldn't wait! First off, customer service was A1. They had one lady working the front and she was fantastic. I didn't catch her name but she was working today 4/10 at around 12pm-1pm(that's when we were there) they were busy she was running around helping everyone and not once did her smile leave her face! She greeted every customer who walked in no matter what she was doing! She was great! Now on to the food. DELICIOUS!!! Their bread was so fluffy and delicious. My son ordered a burger and devoured it in less than 10mins. I ordered the pimento bacon sandwich and it was so yummy. My daughter got a grilled cheese and my husband a hangover bowl. Both were great too! This was our first time eating here but not our last. Their Iced coffee was so yummy too. Service was GREAT and we got our food really quick! Highly recommend this place. So glad we decided to try this place on a whim. Best part about it is, they're just right down the road from our house! I most definitely want to come back and try their sweets. Like their cinnamon rolls. That's my fave! FYI, don't come too late because they do run out of stuff quick! But that just means they're THAT good!

Yelp
The banana bread French toast was delicious. Very small, only a few tables. Parking is easy!

David G.

Yelp
Just go here. Amazing breakfast. Everything is just right. And fried potatoes the way my Dad made them. Friendly people. Great food. And nostalgia for no extra charge!

Yelp
The food here was AMAZING! The servers were so kind and very quick to help us when we arrived. We are visiting Tennessee and will definitely be back here before we leave. Definitely a relaxed nice place if you're looking for something more serene.

Yelp
Wowwwww We decided to stop here randomly for brunch instead of going to the typical chain restaurants after a trail walk. I've known of this place for a while but just hadn't stopped by. Well that changed today obviously lol. We entered and were greeted immediately. The place gives coffee shop vibes. They have a few tables or you can sit at the bar table by the register. When we arrived it was already at over half capacity but it was totally fine, I could also sneak a peek at everyone's plates to see which looked amazing and about everything did lol. We finally ordered. I got the Ridicu biscuit and added gravy- The biscuit was grilled, sweet and crispy. The sausage had a crust, honestly that made the biscuit lol. The gravy was good and the pimento cheese made it even better. It was delicious! Other forks could not stay off my plate. Hubs ordered the Banana bread French toast- It was so beautifully presented! That had a good crust would recommend more sauce but it was very good. My son got the Cinnamon roll French toast and yet another knock out dish. Perfect balance of sweetness! I can't wait to order it next time. For the table we got the hash brown casserole- it was so rich, creamy and packed with cheese. Definitely ordering it again as well lol. All in all the food was amazing, customer service was great! This place is a cute hidden gem. Also note this place gets busy quick. I'm happy to see that they're opening up another location!

Yelp
Second visit to Wildflower Bake Shop. First visit very nice. The coffee is exceptional and is what lured us back the second time. I had a breakfast Sammie the other day. Very tasty treat. This is a locally owned eatery and has a casual atmosphere and personalized service. The breakfast sandwich is sooo good. A great way to start the day. So glad I found this little gem.

Yelp
Yummy food excellent service . Not your everyday kind of breakfast food . It's more then just bacon and eggs , its breakfast with a twist .

Yelp
We were travelling and wanted to try something local, so I checked Yelp to see what the options were. Wild Flour looked interesting and had great reviews, so we decided to give it a try. It was less than a 10 minute drive from Interstate 24 and the directions were easy to follow and we arrived without any issues. The restaurant is located in a small shopping center. There is parking adjacent to building plus across a traffic lane. The handicapped spaces are right near the entrance. We were there on a Sunday and parking was plentiful, although it may get more crowded when the other shops are open. Walking in, there is a counter directly ahead with maybe six seats, plus several tables around the front and side wall. The interior is cozy but brightly lit with a lot of natural light. We were greeted on entry and given a menu. We were even asked if we wanted to order drinks. We were planning to order take out, so checked out the menu and the special board located next to the counter in the middle. We then made our way to the counter to order. They were fairly busy, but we received our food in maybe ten minutes. The Reuben special was quite good. The bread was freshly made, toasted, and was able to stand up to the sauerkraut and homemade 1000 island dressing without falling apart. The meat was served as thick slabs instead of the typical shaved slices. The entire sandwich was over two inches thick and made for a very filling meal. The TBA sandwich was equally good. The bun and all ingredients were fresh and had a wonderful taste which combined into a wonderful total taste experience. An interesting side note is they also support local artists. Along the walls going to the rear of the area, there are shelves with various handmade items from local artists. Even more unique, each artist has a direct payment method associated with their items. This means the restaurant can feature local artists but is not required to handle any of the transactions. I'm sure if we were local we would become regulars here. As it is, we have added Wild Flour to our travel itinerary and plan to stop by every time we come through the area.

Yelp
Food is delicious, service is great. Only 1 little drawback. It's a small restaurant with limited seating. But it's definitely worth it. Today I had the Bacon Jam Burger. Definitely one of the best burgers I've ever had.
google avatar

Yelp
This small hidden gem has a small menu but each item is executed perfectly. Every item that includes bread, is made in house. I've had almost all the items and have never been disappointed. They serve brunch, breakfast and lunch and close early. The wait staff is attentive and very friendly. My favorite dish is the banana bread French toast and the brisket hash. Once you try it, you won't ll be hooked. When you're finished eating, grab a cinnamon roll or freshly baked muffin to go.

Yelp
Great breakfast place around Clarksville. Went there on a Saturday morning and it was a little busy, not so long for a wait to be seated. Grabbed the breakfast Sammie and hashbrowns casserole. Foods were tasty and fresh.

Yelp
Small 'mom and pop' type restaurant. Came to have brunch and was pleasantly surprised.very friendly customer service. Small menu, but that just means they can make each item amazing! Small seating area, paper and plastic dishes and flatware, but the food was amazing!! Highly recommend and I'll be back.

Yelp
Recommend this place that opened up in the old Sweetest Batch spot on Lowe's Drive! It's easy to miss on your way to Kroger and Lowe's in this part of Clarksville, but I urge you to stop in for breakfast, brunch, or lunch! Our first visit, but it's been on my radar for about a year! Took my in-laws here when they came to visit us and everyone approved. The coffee, the food, the service were all great. Chatting with the manager (?) was easy and I thought she was the owner. That's how awesome she was from greeting us, pushing two tables together to accommodate us, and serving our table ... then inviting us to return. Oh, yes, we will return. I need to try that brisket hash. Wish I had not missed that on the menu. My son loved my banana bread French toast. I got to take his cinnamon roll French toast home. Too sweet to finish the whole thing! We all loved the coffee and the choices available were enough for everyone. For me, I love the small space. However, order for takeout when you're in a hurry. We had six people in our party and took up half of the dining area. Small tables for 2-4 and only a few tables for dining inside the place. We went at just the right time!

Yelp
Best Brunch I've ever had!! I had the Brisket Hash that comes with two eggs how you like them and sourdough bread. PERFECTION. I also had the Banana Bread French Toast that was also very yummy. Highly recommend going here!! Their coffee is pretty great too. Also want to just say that the employees are incredibly kind and we're very attentive!! Definitely going back soon

Yelp
I selected this place for one reason: expecting flights of different flavors of coffee, yet this place does not provide flights except on special occasions in a different location. Despite the disappointment, everything was spectacular. The Cuban Sandwich was perfection. I ordered a Turkey Club Sandwich. Very big and delicious yet I could only eat half. We selected pasta salad and potato salad as our sides. The coffee was some of the best coffee I had in this area. I had a marshmallow coffee first. Then I tried the butterscotch. I would definitely come back here for a large marshmallow coffee and a Cuban Sandwich again.
google avatar

Daniel M.

Yelp
Great tasting food, great employees and the amount of food is more than expected. I enjoy the mom and pop atmosphere.

Kim S.

Yelp
Great food, cook to perfection! Have tried both locations, both were equally great service, tasting food mirror images of each other. Would gladly eat at either any time!

Vera V.

Yelp
Food and coffee were delicious. Service was awesome. We were in town for a marriage retreat. I love little cafe bakeries and I saw this place also served hearty breakfasts so we decided to try. I make my own sourdough and saw that this bake shop baked their own sourdough too. My hubby and I both tried the Brisket Hash and we also ordered their cinnamon roll. The portions are sizable. Too bad I live an hour and a half away or I would be here often. The place got pretty busy.

Deidre W.

Yelp
Went once & definitely want to go back! There were 3 of us, ordered 3 dishes to share amongst us & it was enough to fill us all. We all ordered different coffee drinks; they were all decent but a weak coffee taste for my preference. The biscuits & gravy is great, a very different taste than I'm used to (maybe heavy on the garlic?), but the biscuits are so soft & fluffy they're to die for. Cinnamon roll French toast is amazing, very sweet overall which is kinda the point, & the candied pecans are a nice crunchy touch. The breakfast sandwich we got was my favorite, the bread absolutely perfect, all the meats plus egg however you want it, but the pimiento cheese really makes it - I was suspicious about that but it's soooo good. Just try it, I don't think you'll regret it!

Yelp
This little shop is amazing. The chef is great. The staff are friendly. The place is cute and clean. The food is clean and healthy and tasty!!! If you love or miss a Cuban sandwich (IYKYK) get one here, delicious. You need to follow them on Facebook as they also offer "Sunday Meals" that you can pre-order then pick up by 3pm on Sunday to reheat for an amazing meal. Menu changes. Lovely small business that deserves our support. 10/10 all day every day!

Yelp
Came in for cinnamon rolls and was sad they had already sold out as well as their gravy. Their reputation precedes itself with the small yet very delicious menu based on the traffic I saw coming in and out of their shop. The Banana Nut French Toast is delicious! I ordered a vanilla latte and it was very delicious as well. Very awesome and friendly staff - come out and give them a try, but save some gravy and cinnamon rolls for me, okay?!

Zaira C.

Yelp
Service: 10/10 employees were so nice and attentive Ambiance: very homey, earthy, fun Food: 9/10 Very honest about the solid 9. Food was so good. The banana French toast guys ... my first reaction when I bit into it was "holy f***ing sh*t". And i dont cuss a lot lol! Never had anything like it before. Thought it was going to be too sweet from the look of it but it was the perfect middle ground between sweet and savory. Avocado toast was super unique. Not bland. Great flavor. The hangover bowl I did not eat myself but my boyfriend rated it a 8/10 and said it was good. I didn't give the store a 10/10 only because I feel like the presentation could be a little prettier but for to-go, it was great. Also got a caramel vanilla coffee with espresso and oat milk and it was so delicious. Not too sweet either. Definitely a MUST for brunch here in clarksville!!!
google avatar

Sharon L.

Yelp
The roast beed hash(special of the day) it was surprisingly good. Flavorful yet salt was balanced out. The avocado toast was good. The kids loved what they ordered. What stood out was the customer service! They were attentive and very accommodating! We will return for more brunches!
google avatar

Deanne B.

Yelp
Stopped in while my father was in the local hospital. I was very stressed. The service was excellent and very friendly. I hadn't mentioned my stress level but I believe the crew treats everyone with great courtesy. The coffee was delicious. I'm in love with the pastry and glad I don't live in town. I'd be there all the time. The steady business of people picking up prepaid items was impressive for such a small place. I believe this speaks well to the quality and service provided.
google avatar

Matt W.

Yelp
Great service and good was phenomenal! The lady gave us a free iced coffee drink simply because she made it and it was gonna go to waste if she didn't do something with it. That was super generous! Definitely recommend for a brunch date

Karen W.

Yelp
I got the TBA without the mustard. It was really good and the waiter was really kind. Avocado toast in the back was really good too. Really small on the inside is my only complaint
google avatar

Nadja B.

Yelp
I had been following them on Facebook before they opened at their current location. I've wanted to try them so bad since. Well my husband and I finally made it for breakfast. It was crowded (good sign) but we got a table. One thing that stood out to me was an interaction between a food delivery person and the owner. She told him it would be a moment for the food. He did not seem to mind waiting at all. When the order was ready she offered the delivery person a free treat. I just thought that was really nice and she didn't have to do that. Back to the food, my husband had the special with brisket and I got a breakfast sandwich. Oh my gosh it was good! Thinking about it makes me want to go back now. I totally get the hype and it's not overdone. Plus the cold brew was really good too!
google avatar

Walter H.

Yelp
I love the fresh ingredients that wild flour offers, you really can taste the difference. If the biscuit is anything close to the homemade bread, you're in for a treat. I've ordered the turkey egg & cheese breakfast sammie on a couple different occasions. Each time has been good, although the meat portion was light one time. Overall this place is good, it gives you a comfy feeling when you walk in. Do yourself a favor and stop in and while you're at it, grab a cinnamon roll and thank me later.

Yelp
Super cute little shop. I did inquire when they opened as prior reviews seemed a tad misleading. They relocated in January and are in the process of expanding. The eggs Benedict is only available on Saturdays which was a bit of a letdown, but the banana bread French toast was pretty tasty and very filling. I don't like eating by myself so I got it to-go but it was still delicious. They have the cute little tables pictured and then there is also an L-shaped bar with seating. Their cinnamon rolls look huge but I opted out this time, the French toast was enough sweetness for one day :) there is plenty of parking and they brought out my order fairly quick. The other patron seated at the bar area raved about the avocado toast so that's something to try for sure. The waitress also commented that they do "Sunday suppers" where you order ahead and pick it up for your whole family. They also do catering and the owner sounds fairly accommodating. Apparently a prior catering job they requested a large cinnamon roll and he made one special about the size of a regular cake. Very cute and quaint location. A bit limited menu but by the sounds and my tastebuds they're all worth trying. The lunch menu is def something I'll be back for too. Hopefully their Cuban is as good as their French toast.

Yelp
This is my second time coming to Wild Flour and it's one of the local restaurants I know I will continue to patron over and over. The staff has been friendly each time I've come. I've come with both of my children each time and they're super sweet with kids. The first time I came, I ordered the cinnamon roll French toast, eggs and bacon (not pictured). It was delicious. The cinnamon roll French toast has the perfect amount of sweetness, not taking it over the top even if you eat the whole thing. The portion is also pretty big, me and my 2 years old shared and still had some left over. Now, let's get into the TEA and is this B&G. I originally came in thinking I was going to get the French toast again but decided I wanted something savory instead. So glad I landed on the biscuits and gravy. The biscuits are made from scratch every morning and if you ask me, they are made with LOVE. The biscuit was buttery, moist and cakey on the inside with a little crisp on the outside. And don't get me started on that gravy. I almost licked it off the plate. Bacon and sausage gravy for the win! I will def be back. Also, honorable mention: the Cuban sandwich. I've never had it but my husband likes it a lot. He's greedy so I've only tasted the bread that it comes on and that's really good too.
google avatar

Jessica R.

Yelp
Delicious food! Best i have had in a long time. The staff is friendly and helpful. Food is high quality with different options than just your regular fare.
google avatar

Joe J.

Yelp
Food was very good. Interesting dishes, home made breads, hearty flavored-coffee recipes (aka St****cks). Lots of locals have discovered this super brunch/lunch spot, even Sunday mornings. Lots of take-out spotted, too. I love their cuban sandwich. The loaded potato salad is hearty. Only 5-6 tables! DOWN SIDE: they tack on a 4% charge for credit card use and they DO NOT TELL YOU! No local wifi. How very 90s! Even the credit card companies only charge 3%.
google avatar

Michelle R.

Yelp
Came here for breakfast and had a poor experience. First they were out of sourdough bread, no big deal. I planned to come back another day to try the avocado toast, but I won't be back. I ordered the cinnamon roll French toast which was not good at all. I decided to create my own biscuit to go. I asked for cheese and an egg with honey butter. They were out of honey butter, so I asked for regular butter. I get my order and I leave. Once in the car, I check my order and all I have is a biscuit with butter on the side. So I have to go back into the store to ask for my correct order. The girl says, "I thought you just asked for cheese, there's no cheese on there?" So I show her the biscuit and she says they'll make another one. Then she comes to my table to ask how I want my egg. I say fried. She asks over hard or over easy. Where I'm from, we don't use those terms so I just said fried. Apparently there was a break down in communication. She goes to the back and I can clearly hear her mocking me to whoever is in the back preparing the food. If you're going to talk about your customers, maybe try doing it in a tone where they can't hear you! Anyway, she comes back to the front and because I heard her talking sh!t, I ask her if she has a hard time understanding me. She said no. I said, we'll it seemed like there was a communication breakdown. She says, no. I got my new biscuit and left. First of all the biscuit was overly salty. I took one half bite and as soon as I got home I threw the food in the trash. What a waste of time and energy. If you want poor service and nasty food, come here. But if you want to be treated respectfully and eat good food, look elsewhere.

Bruce R.

Yelp
Great food friendly people!! the food that we got there was very good and the service was very friendly. Definitely will be returning in the future.

Jacqueline M.

Yelp
Great cafe with good food and service. All the employees are pleasant and attentive and the food is a nice change from the norm.

Soniece G.

Yelp
So far I've tried the a few things from there. The banana bread French toast was good. I also had the hangover bowl and the brisket hash. So much food and so filling. The servers are also really nice.
google avatar

Stephanie G.

Yelp
Absolutely love it. We went to it for the first time and I was not sure. I had the brisket breakfast (it made my eyes roll, so good), the hangover (husband devoured it and had him moaning) , cinnamon breakfast and something else. It is to die for. We grabbed a chocolate chip cookie to go and it was sooo good. The place is small so make a order to go in case they are busy. It's family friendly and just a nice spot to chill. I can't wait to go back.

Norka R.

Yelp
Delicious breakfast place, warm and happy staff, tiny place but big flavors, homemade mango jam and a red pepper jelly that was tangy and mild. Definite worth the five minute drive from the highway. Absolute comfort food served by people who actually loved good food.
google avatar

Kris C.

Yelp
This small breakfast shop packs a delicious punch. From the cold brew to the hot sauce all homemade or local sourced. What??!!! You've never been?? .... Do it!! Had an awesome time talk to the lovely people and eating scrumptious foods. Will be back...

Wendy H.

Yelp
Loved this little spot of handmade heaven. The bread was so fresh, the rueben sandwich was killer good and huge. Loved the 1905 salad reminiscent of the salad served at Columbia restaurant in St Armands/Sarasota. Lunch was so good that we took a to go sandwich to share for dinner! Oh, and did I mention that they make their own super sized cookies?!? YUM!

Lea H.

Yelp
We had such a great experience today at Wild Flour Bake Shop. The service was great and the food was delicious. The area was clean and the environment was relaxing We had the create your own biscuit, Avocado toast, pimento cheese, and a grilled cheese. The CYOB was bacon, egg over medium, pimento cheese, and gravy. The toast was delicious. I would love to see the Avocado toast with some balsamic glaze and mozzarella pearls but it was still absolutely delicious. The grilled cheese had a comfort feeling that just brought you back to being at home. I definitely recommend trying the place out.

Yelp
Wild Flour bakeshop is a local gem. Service was impeccable. Will be back and next time bring my friends!
google avatar

Debby M.

Yelp
The food was absolutely amazing! Fresh and flavorful. I had the brisket hash. I also bought fresh sourdough bread to bring home. I will be back again.
google avatar

Robb H.

Yelp
I had a breakfast biscuit that was probably the best breakfast biscuit I've ever had. It wasn't dry and the pimento really went well with it. Get it with gravy! My wife ordered the avocado toast. The presentation was nice, but she said there was some kind of spread on it she didn't like. That can just come down to personal taste. There isn't much room in there, which wasn't a problem for us when went.

Beatrice G.

Yelp
I don't often do this, but I would highly highly recommend Paul flower a big shop. The food was absolutely delicious. The best thing I've put in my mouth a long time the service was beyond the norm for small big shop. They say busy and it seems to be working very well for them.
google avatar

Rose Y.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious! Ordered the iced cold brew with almond milk & the B & G, added an egg to it. So so good! Will definitely be coming back. Staff is very friendly as well. Recently moved here and I am so happy to find this place!

Susie F.

Yelp
Great tasting coffee and food. Service was good. Cute dining area. The location is easy to get to. Will return when next in the area.

Yelp
Super cute small hole in the wall. There isn't much seating but they turn around pretty quick so you don't have to wait long. Food was great but service could have been a little more efficient. I do understand stand it's a small business but for a weekend I felt like they needed another person up front. Other than that is was great, I will definitely be coming back
