Craft brewery with extensive beer list, tacos, and outdoor seating

"Wild Heaven is widely respected for building the groundwork for Georgia’s craft beer scene by contract brewing before opening their own brewery and putting Avondale Estates on the map a decade ago. This brewery continues to pour year-rounds like the Emergency Drinking Beer, ATL Easy Ale, Euro-Style Pilsner, and the Sunburst IPA, plus seasonal odes to traditional European styles and Garden Beer collaborations with Atlanta Botanical Garden. Their spacious West End BeltLine location is a special treat since the famed El Tesoro operates an outpost here. Sipping craft beer while chomping on some of the city’s best tacos feels like mastering life." - dennis malcolm byron

"Wild Heaven has opened a third location of its brewery and taproom in partnership with Fox Bros. Bar-B-Q. The 93-seat taproom also has a courtyard and a fireplace. Wild Heaven favorites like Emergency Drinking Beer and Sunburst IPA are available, plus head brewer Josh Franks will release exclusive beers here. A full kitchen with an onsite smoker ensures Fox Bros. Bar-B-Q will sling plenty of meats and treats. Local Georgia wine is also available. The brewery’s new location is an upside amid many Georgia breweries closing recently, including Elsewhere Brewing and Eventide Brewing." - Henna Bakshi

"Launched in 2010 in Avondale Estates, Wild Heaven is another one of Georgia’s early craft beer pioneers. Now with a second location at Lee and White, the brewery expands its seasonal selections, like the Garden Beers and Happiest Hour series and other brews, including the BeltLiner saison. The beer garden behind the brewery in West End is hard to beat on a pleasant afternoon. Head in to grab coffee at the counter inside the taproom daily from Finca to Filter or tacos, mulitas and burritos, from El Tesoro in the afternoon and evening." - Eater Staff

"The Lee and White taproom and beer garden along the Westside Beltline trail is a collaborative brewery space that houses a coffee counter (Finca to Filter) and hosts restaurant kitchen partnerships, most recently a takeover that pairs the taproom’s beers with a Tex‑Mex menu. To celebrate that partnership the brewery released Lager Libre, a Tex‑Mex lager garnished with lime and added to its lineup. The operation is also expanding its offerings and footprint, planning a combined brewery and distillery under a farm winery program and partnering with a well‑known barbecue operator to open a brewery-and-smokehouse concept with on-site smoking, a taproom serving beer, wine, and cocktails, and a bar overlooking the brewing facility." - Beth McKibben

"A new solar-powered outdoor bar housed in a converted shipping container at the Lee and White complex, opening May 20 just in time for the Lantern Parade. Built as a joint effort from neighboring breweries and a distillery, the bar is equipped with ten solar panels capable of capturing up to 4,000 watts per hour and a lithium phosphate battery backup to power low-energy refrigeration, appliances, and LED lighting into the evening. Open Friday through Sunday, it pours eight Monday Night beers on draft (including Taco Tuesday, Dr. Robot, and Blind Pirate) plus six canned beers, while the distillery serves cocktails and frozen drinks such as an Old Fashioned, gin and tonic, piña colada, and bourbon and Coke. The setup also includes a can-crusher recycling system that routes emptied cans to a glass chamber for collection by Recycle for Good (benefiting Habitat for Humanity in Atlanta) and six free, corded phone-charging stations powered by the solar system." - Beth McKibben
