A Review of Rusty Parrot Lodge and Spa, Jackson, WY| Hotels Above Par

"The on-site restaurant delivers a cozy yet refined dining experience focused on fresh, seasonal and locally sourced ingredients; chefs take a relaxed approach to fine dining, producing creative, flavorful dishes from perfectly seared steaks to inventive fish and vegetable-forward plates, with a menu that shifts by season. The adjacent bar provides a comfortable spot for craft cocktails or a glass of wine to cap the evening, and menu highlights and pastries (notably the cinnamon roll at breakfast) are frequently recommended by guests."

We had an awesome anniversary dinner here. First time trying it and we were really impressed with everything. Our server Sean was wonderful and attentive. He made great recommendations and we loved everything that we tried. They have mocktails and non-alcoholic beer which was a plus for us because we don't drink. We tried the taquitos and while we are not vegetarian, it was really nice you have options without meat. We loved them. The flavor was awesome. We got the lemon chicken which was really unique and had great flavor. The veggies were so fresh you could tell they were like same day picked most likely. My husband got the flank steak and he loved it. It came with potatoes and they were cooked perfectly and awesome. We got the coconut cake for dessert as well as the chocolate macaroon vegan ice cream. It was very cool to find out that most of the items are gluten free. My husband said it was the best ice cream he has ever had. We ate upstairs and the area was kind of tight but it was still very enjoyable. We were frequently checked on. E salads were awesome and we also loved the rolls. They gave us little chocolates for our anniversary which was very appreciative and they were very tasty. The only negatives I have are the area is a little sketchy and we chose to walk there from our hotel. I would not recommend walking in the area. And the only negative I could find in the food was that my parmesan polenta was a little colder than the other items on my plate. I feel like it was maybe plated first or something but it definitely had great flavor was, just a little cold. I was impressed and would love to try this place again.

Wild Sage Bistro is pure love from the first bite! The food is insanely delicious, every dish feels like a mini masterpiece, and the presentation? You’re eating with your eyes first! Everything is plated with so much care, like proper fine-dining vibes. The atmosphere is quiet, cozy, perfect for a chill dinner. And thank God, the windows are covered — no need to see the “horrors” of downtown Spokane! 😂🤪 Inside, it’s gorgeous, stylish, and just feels special. I’m definitely coming back and recommending this to everyone — a must-visit in Spokane!

Google
Best experience I’ve had at a restaurant in such a long time. Love the food and atmosphere. Our waitress Bri (apologies if I got that wrong) was absolutely amazing, her attitude was great, very knowledgeable, and friendly. Definitely coming back!

Google
This was my favorite restaurant during my visit to Spokane. The food was delicious and the service was great. I wish I could remember our servers name because she was great and so helpful. I ordered the pork tenderloin and it was incredible. There was so much flavor and I was so glad I got it. My colleague got the bucatini and said it was really good as well. They also brought out some bread with the most delicious sweet butter. 10/10 experience and I would absolutely go back.

Tonight was our third visit to Wild Sage and what we’ve found is that this restaurant NEVER disappoints! We tried their tácitos and now we see why people rave about this appetizer. It’s the perfect blend of crunch, spice and creamy avocado! We love their bacon and blue cheese salad and have gotten this every time we’ve eaten there. There’s something very satisfying about this flavor combination that has us committed to repeating it with each visit. Their light popovers with lavender honey butter are divine and are bordering on an addiction for us both. We tried the bouillabaisse and agreed that the rich, savory sauce pulled all of the flavors together and made it a winner! We ended our meal with their signature coconut cake that, I’m convinced, could solve the world’s problems—oh my, is that heavenly! Our hostess tonight was Sophie (a friendly, bubbly girl who welcomed us and made us comfortable from the start), our server was Mike (knew the menu very well and was able to make some great recommendations for us, he timed the delivery of each dish perfectly so that we weren’t left waiting for the next course), our cook was Logan (very talented chef who made every flavor pop!) and we even met the owner, Garth, tonight. He’s a great, down-to-earth guy who has formed a fabulous team that performs together like clockwork. We had an excellent meal and an enjoyable evening! We’ll be back soon because we love this place!

Google
If I could give more than five stars, I would. We've eaten at many of Spokane’s top dining establishments The Davenport’s Palm Court Grill, The Osprey, Clinkerdagger, Churchill’s Steakhouse, and Masselow’s at Northern Quest. Each has its moments of brilliance, but Wild Sage doesn’t just stand out it leads the pack. From the moment we sat down, every dish was a masterclass in flavor, balance, and execution. The food wasn’t just good it was spectacular. Rich in creativity, yet rooted in comfort, each plate felt like a story the chef was telling, and we were lucky enough to listen with our taste buds. The chef who created this menu, and the entire kitchen staff behind it, deserve Michelin stars. Their attention to detail, ingredient selection, and flawless technique were evident in every bite. The flavors were bold but refined, familiar but inventive and honestly, we found ourselves saying multiple times, “This is better than any meal we’ve had in Spokane — ever.” Wild Sage is officially our new gold standard. If you think you’ve experienced the best of Spokane cuisine, go here — and prepare to be humbled.

Google
This place is incredible. Awesome service the 20 years I’ve been going. Here’s what the food looked like on busy Saturday night. The chef visits each table to answer any questions and check on the food.

The appetizers blew us away! The taquitos and the ahi tuna crudo was amazing! All the ingredients that made up the plate was impressive.

Yelp
My second time at this restaurant. Never disappoints. Truly...doesn't disappoint. To get down to the nitty gritty: I never had chicken meat melt of the bone. Yes, the chicken meat was so flavorful, and so tender...never experienced something like this. I told the bartender to give compliments to the chef. Behold-one of the chefs came out to greet my GF and I. Now, I got to say...you get what you pay for. It's not cheap. But, if you have money, or if you want to make an impression, by all means, this is the place. Quaint, nicely decorated place. Low light, quiet, everyone is happy. But, again, go for the food. Everything else is a plus. My first visit was a year ago. I had a fish dish. I'm asking myself why it took so long to go back! Dress nicely, you'll feel important.

Yelp
Wow, a true culinary experience! I took my gal there for our anniversary. We started out with the cabbage and kale salad. We decided to split it, thank god as I hate kale. However they brought us two full salads by mistake. All I can say is I would have licked the plate if I was not in public. The green goddess dressing was amazing. She had the halibut and I ordered the bouillabaisse. Both were amazing. The halibut was moist on the inside with a great sear. The bouillabaisse had a really good flavor but the size of the meat in the clams was underwhelming. The shells were the right size but the clam meat may have been overcooked. Very small. Our server was Jonty and he provided over the top service.

Yelp
Gourmet, well composed, high quality fare at also high prices. The alcohol menu is also very impressive - so many wines and cocktails! I loved the fluffy popovers they served at the beginning of the meal - so creative! I was feeling adventurous and went for the pork collar ($46) - and that's how I found out I am not the biggest fan of pork collar lol, too chewy. Though, all the accompaniments were very lovely. I had a few bites of the burger ($29) and omg, that was a good burger. The plating of everything is impressive. We tried the olive oil cake ($15, seasonal) and the vegan macaroon ice cream (I forgot, like $11 maybe?) - they were rich and lovely. I want to try the coconut cake. Our server was lovely, I wish I got her name! Inside is nice but not anything "wow" worthy.

Yelp
Highlights 1. TONS of Gluten-Friendly Options 2. Great Food 3. Excellent Service This was the best meal we ate on a recent trip to Spokane! We made a reservation a few weeks in advance and it was definitely needed as the restaurant was packed! Our table was ready right away and service was so friendly throughout. The menu definitely leads with fresh and organic ingredients and we were blown away with how many gluten-friendly options there were! Nearly the entire menu is or can be modified to be gluten-friendly. Everything we ate was flavorful and fresh. 10/10 recommend! We almost came back a second time on our trip to try more of the menu!

Yelp
We went here to celebrate my mom's birthday over the weekend. We all ordered something different and all of our meals were amazing. The Wagu Burger was beautifully cooked and the garlic aioli for the fries was out of this world. The Pork Tenderloin was so tender, the potatoes had good texture, and the vegetables were still crisp. The Copper salmon was nicely cooked and perfectly seasoned. Though we had a great meal, our service was less then stellar. It felt like our waitress prioritized the larger tables over ours and our drinks were constantly out. We understood the resturant was busy, but we were there before some of the other tables that got better service. In no way does this sour experience on Wild Sage. We love this resturants food, but if we are seated in this waitresses section again, we may ask to be re-seated. Thank you Chef for a great meal.

Yelp
Here I am again I can't seem to stay away. It's 30 minutes before close and the food and service is as good as always. I'm convinced this is the best dinner spot in Spokane, when you're looking for farm to table, fresh and tasty! There's some appropriate music in the background. Great service from Annie tonight in the main dining room. I ordered the filet mignon, harvest salad, and brussel sprouts.

Yelp
4.5/5 Delicious, thought out plates with options for many dietary needs. We got the Yukon Taquitos, Peanut Soup, Bacon Blue Salad, and the Glazed Tofu. All delicious, least favorite was the soup. My husband who is vegetarian was very happy to have a vegetarian option that felt elevated. My main gripe, and this may be personal preference, is the lighting. Feels far too bright for finer dining. Great service, will be back!

Yelp
We visited this place on a weekday evening. Please read my whole review. As other reviewers have noted, it's got a warm welcoming interior and service was friendly and great. We had a problem on a drink order and it was quickly and efficiently fixed. Food was good -- scallops in a tomato vodka sauce and halibut were both well prepared and tasty. And the popovers!!!!!! A request for a decaf cappuccino to go was filled with a smile. BUT, be aware of two things: 1. The neighborhood was filled with several unhoused people, some with mental issues. One stormed into the restaurant wanting something while we were leaving. I'm not sure if I felt guilty or unsafe, but it was a disconcerting place in the evening. Perhaps people of Spokane accept this, but wow. We live in an urban city on the east coast and this would not be accepted. 2.Poorly signed parking lot next door is a fee lot at all times. Avoid a fine and pay. We were trying to avoid the unhoused people and messed up.

Yelp
We are new to Spokane and we're searching for an upscale type dining experience that wasn't too stuffy. The food was great, very tasty and the menu showed quite a variety of options. Our server, Ariana, couldn't have been better- hit the perfect balance of professionalism and friendliness
google avatar

David L.

Yelp
Our delightful server knew that our heritage proved that 'popovers' should be called Yorkshire pudding! Lovely staff and a very friendly server made for a delightful evening. My pork tenderloin with pepper was delicious and the portion of rabbit gnocchi was very well cooked with the gnocchi not over cooked and mushy.

Ronnie M.

Yelp
as always, the food was extraordinary we often go there for birthdays or anniversaries. There is no place better for us in Spokane from the delicious brussels sprouts appetizer to the flank steak so perfectly cooked, and the amazing pumpkin based dessert. Everything was pretty much perfect the Chef has an amazing touch in creating extraordinary flavor combinations.

Yelp
I have visited numerous times over the years and have never had a bad experience. The entrees change with the season and are unique with their flavour combinations as well as their classic items always being a hit. Their cocktails are divine, too. I still think about the Love Potion #5 cocktail I had for Valentine's Day one year. The staff is usually friendly as well.

Yelp
Wow- Hubby & I came here for a date night & have to say we were blown away by the whole experience. The drinks & food were outstanding, the presentation was beautiful, & the service was chef's kiss! We felt like the portion sizes were perfect where you could eat everything on your plate and feel full, but not overly stuffed. We really loved the sauces they added to each main course - it was fun and a brilliant add to each entree. We also each got a salad and both decided they were the best versions of those salads we have ever had. Kudos Wild Sage! Can't wait to come here again.

Yelp
Honestly, it didnt look very appealing from the outside but once inside, wow! My gf took me here for my birthday and boy, what a treat! Amazing food, great service and super cocktails. Definitely will return!

Yelp
The food was delicious! Our server was very knowledgeable and friendly. The ambience and decor was on par for a nice restaurant. Would come back and recommend to friends!

Yelp
The kind of place that inspires me to cook! This was quite a pleasurable experience. Great service, nice inside, and of course very tasty food. They know what they are doing! Yes, get the Yukon Tacos! I was very impressed as well by the mix of complimentary flavors that the Duck Duck Goose provides! Highly recommend an evening with Wild Sage Bistro!

Justin E.

Yelp
This place is absolutely amazing! Great staff, great decor and let's not forget about the food! We've been here three times and each time we've ordered something different and the dishes were out of this world! On the menu they have their staple dishes, then they have a few rotating items, and specials (pretty normal, right?). Meyer Lemon chicken is absolutely amazing... hits all the notes! Duck Duck Goose... is fabulous, perfectly crisp duck and with the other components on the plate, the duck is just elevated! The Filet is everything you expect from a fine dining experience. The pork tenderloin is probably my least favorite, only because there wasn't enough. I'm saying it was so delicious, I wish I had more. Had the scallop special too, amazing! Scallops cooked really good. Drinks were on point, service was unbelievable and attentive to our every need.

Yelp
Last night, I finally tried Wild Sage American Bistro - Spokane Restaurant. Now I understand why it's a place I have been asked if I had ever been. It's absolutely wonderful. Our server was attentive and the drinks were perfectly crafted. We started with an appetizer of Yukon Taquitos (yukon gold potato, white cheddar, chile lime sauce, avocado, and salted cabbage). They were the perfect little starter with great flavor. Before our meal, we were brought a basket of puff pastries and lavender butter. I really liked the special twist on the dinner bread and that lavender butter was delicious. For our entrees we both ordered their Fresh Sea Scallops (pan seared crisp, avocado beurre blanc, smoked tomato vinaigrette, poblano corn relish, rosemary polenta, and seasonal vegetables). The scallops were perfectly cooked, the polenta was superb, and all the flavors complimented each other perfectly. We ordered some drinks and I can definitely say the Parisian Pear cocktail that I had was one of the best (Grey Goose La Poire, Pear Brandy, St Germaine Liqueur, and fresh lemon juice). I look forward to returning.

Yelp
Wild Sage Bistro is the best and most outstanding restaurant in Spokane! The service, staff, food and atmosphere is great and always superior to any other place we've been to dine. Make a reservation as it is popular, you won't be disappointed by doing so! The food is excellent, fresh, and in my view lovingly prepared, presentation is always a delight, and never a disappointment. There is a corkage fee if you bring your own wine but their wine list is very worthy of consideration! However, if don't find a particular vintage or winery on their online wine list, bring your own. Outstanding service and food!

Yelp
Excellent food and service!!! We loved this place. Looks like a hole in the wall but wow!!

Ellen K.

Yelp
This cozy bistro has great, friendly service, charming decor, and delicious food. You can tell how fresh everything is and I especially appreciate the booze-free libations and vegetarian and vegan selections. This was my favorite meal while visiting Spokane.
google avatar

Yoko P.

Yelp
We started with the pork belly and fig, paired with some beer and a blueberry cocktail. I highly recommend the pork belly and fig - the goat cheese was the perfect complement to the rich flavors of the pork and fig. For the main course, I had the braised rib and risotto, while my husband opted for the Duck Duck Goose. Both dishes were delicious, though my short rib was a bit on the drier side. Still, both dishes were packed with flavor. If I had to choose, I think I preferred the duck. The ambiance was fantastic, and our server Alissa was wonderful--she made the evening extra special. Overall, I had an amazing birthday and would definitely return!
google avatar

Yelp
What a meal! I got the Chinook Salmon and clams at the bar. I started with a martini that was great, thank you Michael. The entree was tasty, perfect size and perfectly prepared. There was a nice background noise. I flat well taken care of. Everything they were doing was culinary perfection. Well worth every penny! If in Spokane, check them out!

Don H.

Yelp
We travel throughout the northwest and U.S. just finished a trip to New York City, with all its great food. Then we ate at Wild Sage and were surprised to find some of the best food we've had. Anywhere. Ever. If you're in Spokane in the evening, you owe it to yourself to have dinner here. From the appetizer to dessert, each bite was delicious. We tried burrata, halibut, scallops, and chocolate cake, but no doubt any dish here will be good. Treat yourself and enjoy!
google avatar

Yelp
Impeccable service. Relaxed atmosphere. Good food. A good place for a splurge. We showed up early, and they were still able to seat us. Thank you. Drinks were very good. They brought puff pastry instead of bread. I would have definitely preferred bread. There is a reason that puff pastries are filled with something. The brussel sprouts appetizer was very good. Cooked to perfection. Very nice curry. My wife's lemon chicken looked delicious, and a fair amount to eat. She, surprisingly, thought that there was a bit too much lemon. My gnocchi was very good. The browned butter gravy was excellent. I had added chicken, and was very disappointed with that: undercooked and flavorless. Seems like all the desserts are gluten free. Nothing struck out fancy, but I am sure they are Delicious.
google avatar

Gillian F.

Yelp
Everything was cooked perfectly! It is expensive but the quality of food and plating reflected that. The table I sat at was a tight squeeze but other tables looked more spaced out. I had the halibut and tried the scallops and lemon chicken. I also had a chocolate torte all of which were superb. The sauce for the coconut cake didn't pair very well and I didn't like the taste of the peppered pork although it was very tender. I had to pay $7 for parking for 2 hrs in the lot next door (saw tickets so make sure to pay). The staff rubbed me the wrong way. They were sarcastic and wouldn't answer our questions about the menu but seemed to get nicer as the night went on.

Yelp
Another outstanding fine dining meal in Spokane. Thanks to all my fellow Yelpers for the recommendations and tips on Wild Sage. Many say it's the premiere fine dining spot in Spokane and I'd be easily convinced. Spectacular food, amazing service, great inside warm vibe. It's got it all. A lot of these observations have been made, so I'll give a short overview of my experience. Parking lot right next to restaurant is convenient, although I walked the 3 blocks from my hotel. Impressive bustling interior, but calming. Lighting just right. 10 mins early for my reservation (I wouldn't try without one, especially on weekend). Crowded on this Wednesday night at 6:30. Shown right to my table. Seasonal menu of my fav cuisine, farm-to-table of what's happening right now. Based on Yelp reviews with a dose of cognitive dissonance recommendations from my server Sean, I order small plates of the Brussels Sprouts and seared Ahi Tuna. OMG on the Brussels Sprouts. They had been shaved to paper fine and just melt in your mouth. Chefs soup of day was a farmhouse lentil. So warm and delicious, just missing a chair in front of fireplace to enjoy this one. Entree was the seafood cioppino (mussels and shrimp) in a tomato-based broth. Great seasonal recommendation by my server. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Dessert was the "soon to be famous" coconut layer cake. Yes, name is accurate. I'd come in just for a slice of the cake. Double espresso served up perfectly rounded out the night. Could go on and on about how difficult it was to choose any one item from the menu. They all looked like winners and the oohs and ahhs from the tables around me bore witness to the excellence coming out of the kitchen. Wine list and craft cocktail list were substantial and deserve another visit to sample. Well done Wild Sage, an amazing special occasion spot, although is I lived here, I'd be in at least once a week and not feeling like I'd experienced everything good. With wine, appetizer or two, salad or soup, entree and dessert you'll drop $100, but you'll feel this place was well worth it. Highly recommended

Yelp
Excellent food with a rotating menu, definitely a place you'd be happy taking your mother out to on Mother's Day :)

Yelp
Quite the exclusive restaurant! Everything was top notch. Our server, Michael, was most polite, kept on top of our needs with out rushing anyone. The food was spectacular...I had the swordfish, which melted in my mouth. Hubby had the salmon, which he devoured. Totally recommend for a fine dining experience:-)

Yelp
Another wonderful dinner experience! We enjoyed every part of dinner, service, food and ambiance.

Yelp
This place is just incredible! The halibut fritters I had were on pointe! Love that EVERYTHING if GF!!

Yelp
Service was gr8. Ambiance could be improved. Food presentation looked good, but was covered with so much sauce you couldn't tell the difference in the food. My fish tasted like sauce, the asparagus tasted like sauce and so on. Also very overpriced. $14 a a small slice if cake for dessert.

Yelp
My husband and I were in Spokane for work. Thanks to Yelp we found Wild Sage Bistro! As other reviewers have mentioned, the food was amazing! Everything we ordered was incredibly flavorful, from the drinks to dessert. Our favorite item was the Meyer lemon chicken. It was SOO GOOD!! Our server was friendly and helpful with menu suggestions. We went on a Monday evening around 5:30. We did not have a reservation, but we were able to get a nice table. The restaurant definitely filled up as the evening progressed, so I would recommend making a reservation just to be sure you get in.

Miya T.

Yelp
ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL FOOD & SERVICE! Overview- 1. Fresh Food: 10/10 2. Service: 10/10- **Highlights: Sean the server spectacular service, one important I'll be a recurrent customer. 3. Portion sizing: Large/Shareable (apps and deserts) Visited from Los Angeles on business and was recommended to try. Every appetizer and dish I had was outstanding. Sean was my server, I would like to take the rest of this review to show my absolute appreciation for outstanding waiters-- Sean not only provided wonderful recommendations on the menu, he was an expert on the ingredients associated with each course (apps to dessert), he also to the time to get to know me as a single diner and make my experience incredibly personalized, the Chef also came out and greeted me while asking how my meal was, I hope if any owners are reading this... you have wonderful team members and they will be the sole reason (aside from outstanding fresh food) I'll travel back. Sean I would like to thank you for your assistance in the wonky bill mishap, you're amazing at what you, keep up the great work everyone. I'll see you soon as I will definitely be back. 10/10!

Joe B.

Yelp
The food was delicious, and well priced, and Gypsy was an amazing server. We will be back again for sure!

Yelp
The best meal I've ever eaten!! I travel for work quite frequently, and love to try local fare all over the U.S. My meal here is one I'll never forget! My server Alex suggested a beautiful salad complete with pistachios, beets, and a citrus component. The flavors melded perfectly, and I'm still dreaming about it. For my main I enjoyed the pork tenderloin dish, and it was perfection. I'm always on the hunt for the perfect bite and this exceeded all! Will definitely book a trip back to Spokane to relive this meal. Thank, you, Alex and Wild Sage.

Yelp
This is our favorite restaurant, we travel far to get here. The food is always delicious. The service wonderful. Beautiful decor.

Yelp
Let me first say I love Wild Sage. Our waitress was awesome...attentive when needed and left us alone when needed! The taquitos we're amazing and we're the drinks. I had the pork shank and it was good but not great..but that's ok. my date loved her pasta. Amazing place...roll in early (5ish) to avoid the crowd!

Yelp
The food here was amazing !!! The service was great too. The ambiance was inviting. The restaurant was quite spacious and had a second level too with a kitchen elevator to send food and drinks upstairs. We reached here on a Saturday evening without a reservation and got seated at the bar. The lady working at the bar was very professional and gave us same or even better level of service than at the table. The restaurant looked busy but we were served some bread soon after we were seated. The tomato soup was good amount of sweet and sour and quite creamy. Along with the bread, it was very satisfying. Next, for entree I ordered Salmon that was served with lemon based sauce and wild rice. The skin was quite crispy and topped with pesto. The combination of flavors were perfect. We finished with a creamy creme brulee with crunchy caramelized sugar topped with local huckleberry jam to give some tart contrast and an crispy oats chip for texture.

Yelp
First things first called to park app not working use a browser. I had so many elderly folks in the parking lot trying to figure it out. Yes, it's downtown you have to pay for parking. Lol. I made my reservations on OpenTable for Valentine's evening since I knew it would be busy. A lady did call not so much to confirm but more if we don't call back, they're canceling our reservation. Yikes. My husband called right away, and the first thing she said was, are you calling to cancel? Umm no! Calling to confirm the reservation that we made several weeks ago. Anyway, that was a little weird. But once we got to the restaurant, everything was smooth sailing. The staff was friendly. Started off our evening with cocktails. I got their Parisian pear which was recommended to me by the server. Oh my goodness, it tastes like a gummy bear, flavorful if you like sweet things. My husband got the wild sage margarita. He liked it said it was on the stronger side, which he preferred. He later ordered the Spokane, which has a hint of grapefruit. He enjoyed that one. For appetizers, we got the chickpea cakes, their delicious, pear salad unfortunately we ordered a small, not knowing that it was going to be super tasty and should have ordered a large, and we also got the salmon tartare. For whatever reason, that salmon tartare did not sit well with us. It didn't taste right; something was off? I hate hate hate sending food back, but it had to be done. Instead, I ordered a small lobster bisque soup much much better. For our main entrées for Valentine's evening, they were serving fresh sea scallops. Oh my gosh, they were so good I was dying with every single bite just so so good perfectly seared the sides that went with the meal perfect portions. My husband got the sweet chili glaze tofu that came with vegetables and rice. It was actually pretty good. I wouldn't mind getting that next time. The table beside us got filet mignon which looked pretty scrumptious, and a burger. I couldn't ask too many questions as it was Valentine's Day, and I didn't want to bother them. I already took a picture of their food because I wanted to post it on yelp. For dessert, we got the cheesecake that was special for the evening and the coconut cake which they are known for. I'm not the biggest fan of coconut, so I didn't try it, but my husband said it was good. If I'm gonna be honest, cheesecake tasted like a grocery store, nothing impressive considering that our appetizer drinks and entrée was out of this world phenomenal. Highly recommend this place great food!

Yelp
First let me say we appreciate a place where we can all order and be safe due to our nutritional needs. Gluten, dairy allergies and more. Good food but definitely not reflected in the food to price ratio. My youngest and I got the chickpea burger. While delish the $26/each price tag Was hefty and confusing. My middle daughter enjoyed the mushroom risotto but $24 I believe with no protein included seemed a bit high As well and hubby had steak. Drinks were good but seemed overpriced too. We enjoy dining out and many times in higher end spots but we're normally blown away by the offerings and service. Besides good service the food did not blow us away here. Staff was considerate which is always appreciated.

Yelp
Favorite fine dining restaurant in Spokane. Everything from the cocktails to the popovers to the entree's are on point! It never disappoints. Plus I never leave feel like the food was too heavy or rich. Highly recommend the coconut cake as dessert! The only thing I don't love are the big, bulky dining chairs.

Yelp
In town for work and came at the recommendation of a local. Small little unassuming restaurant in the downtown area. Quaint, intimate atmosphere, nicely appointed with small bar area. Waitstaff (Kayla was my server) was so attentive and friendly with great recommendations. Cocktails are unique and well balanced, I had the Black Hat and the Pink Martini - 2 very different contrails but both good! I had their popover (I didn't see specifically on the menu but wanted a small snack while waiting for the main course but didn't want a full appetizer or salad as I was dining alone and Kayla recommended it). I had the halibut which was incredible! The accompaniments were perfect, the fish moist and tasty. Had the coconut cake for dessert and it also was fantastic! Beautiful presentation and amazing taste! Can't wait to come back next time in in Spokane...may have to make a special trip just to come back here!! Several drinks I want to as well as a few more entrees!

Yelp
The food was absolutely delicious and our waiter Collin was the best. He suggested great drinks and food. He also was very attentive. We made a reservation the day before (highly recommend doing) so there was no wait for us. Definitely would recommend.

Yelp
My first visit to wild sage made me never want to go back but after being locked in the house for almost 2 years I figured I'd give in to my friends wants and to Wild Sage we went!!! Let me tell you I was NOT disappointed!!! A few key notes... DO make a reservation! We went on a whim and we did have to wait for a spot at the bar(it was worth it if you don't mind waiting!!) we got our spot and a great bartender not to mention we got to witness the owner in action!!! He's really great! We started with drinks of course! Champagne and this really yummy blueberry drink!! Appetizer musts the Yukon taquitos and the chickpea cakes!! OMG I literally crave both every single day!! Dinner I had the halibut and my friend had the tempeh! The halibut was so good. I'm allergic to mushrooms and they had no problems making sure there were none on the plate! I hate asking a chef not to put something on their plate however I'm super allergic so I have no choice! Dessert was my only negative! We had the seasonal clementine cake and the chocolate tort! The chocolate was hands down amazing! The hazelnuts ahhh. The clementine cake wasn't horrible but I wasn't a fan of the texture. The flavor was there. The house whipped cream so good but the texture just turned me off! But again it didn't taste bad it had great flavor!!! We will be back again and again! Shoot if they were open for lunch I would've already ordered those appetizers multiple times!!!! T

Yelp
It was really not that good. It was really nasty. That service was terrible that people were rude. I got me mugged by them. It made me mad so and you know how long it took me to give me my food 16 minutes never again.

Yelp
Always a great experience. The last time I took a chance and ordered their salmon special. It was one of the best pieces of fish I have been served in recent memory. Done exactly right. The wait staff is knowledgeable and helpful! Good choice for dinner!

Yelp
Our second visit to the Wild Sage Bistro was just as amazing as our first several years ago! So glad to have returned. Excellent, friendly service from Ari. Impeccably conceived and executed food from the chef. "Comfortable fine dining" is a perfect way to describe this bustling little joint. I was very pleased that they honored my request for a quiet little corner since we had just returned from a memorial service. They only have one booth in this 2-story restaurant and the "Scelfo Booth" was just perfect. Their offerings are so incredible. I really wanted to try just about everything on the menu! While we couldn't quite swing that, our choices were all excellent and we left very full and entirely satisfied. If you ever find yourself in Spokane and hungry for really good food and a nice fine dining experience without pretentiousness, get yourself to Wild Sage Bistro for dinner!
