Wild Starr Creations and Coffee House

Wild Starr creations is one of my very favorite places in Anchorage! The store has the best selection of products and you can really tell how much care is spent on curating items. The coffee shop is the best in Anchorage and is my go to spot in downtown when I need a pick me up. I also absolutely love the art studio! We had my son’s 10th birthday there and Angel special ordered football shaped mosaic molds for my sports obsessed kiddo and his friends to do. The best part about Wild Starr is that it is more than just a business, since opening it has become a community gathering place. I will never forget the time I stopped in with my kiddo and his buddy to grab coffee and a snack and ended up staying for over three hours because the boys were having such a good time hanging out and chatting. It can be so hard to connect with the tween crowd and it was so lovely to just be together. In an age of tech it is so telling that my kiddo loves to spend time there! The owners Linda and Angel facilitate these moments with their welcoming and genuine care for every person who walks in. I have never felt just like a customer at Wild Starr, from the first time I walked in I felt appreciated and have developed a sense of community with the owners, the workers, the regulars, and many of the wonderful guest artists.

I absolutely love Wild Starr! I find new treasures every time I visit and I love their unique coffee flavors in the coffee shop. This art print I found is a favorite on my wall at home! I think it's so wonderful how supportive they are of local businesses and sourcing locally made for their store and coffee shop ❤️ Linda and Angel are such lovely people and have created such a unique space for downtown Anchorage

They have the best art camp! My 13yr old has been loving the summer camp art sessions. She learns new techniques and ideas and brings home the coolest pieces. The people are so kind, too. They are welcoming and easygoing. They have really cultivated a creative and relaxing place. Highly recommend.

We have been going to Wild Starr for a couple years now. We always have a blast and Angel and Linda are some of the most welcoming folks. I highly recommend you go express your artistic side, and don’t forget to grab a coffee and an Alaskan Made gift while you’re there!

Great little coffee place with awesome staff. Discovered Wild Starr on a 2 hour layover for our Royal Caribbean Land tour. Just down the road from the Alaska Museum and the Marriott, we went back for coffee when we returned to Anchorage for our flights home.

If you are looking for something fun and unique to do in Anchorage, I highly recommend the splatter room at Wild Starr Creations. This was a great activity for our whole family. It was so exhilarating to fling some paint and watch our kids laugh with delight at their flying paint. Angel, Linda, and all of the staff were so helpful getting everyone ready and giving instructions on how to maximize our experience. Go fling some paint!

My friends and I had a tumbler making party and it was AMAZING! Angel instructed beautifully, was very accommodating, and made us all so comfortable in the art studio. When making the tumblers, we were given very clear directions, and if we had trouble Angel jumped in to help right away. The storefront has such cute items that you can’t find anywhere else in town. Definitely booking a wine and paint night soon!

We went for my daughters birthday and the kids had a blast but the service was unprofessional to say the least. The owner said my daughter could wear white clothes to get paint on but her employee said she can't. Her employee was complaining about us saying we didn't follow the schedule. A schedule I was not given. Our charcuterie platter was served on paper not plates like these pictures. The employee did not seem like she wanted to be there. I emailed the owner about our experience and 5 days later have not received a response. I do not recommend.
