The 21 Best Restaurants In Palo Alto

"After wandering through Town & Country Village and spending unspeakable amounts of money on bespoke dresses and designer candles, end the day at Wildseed. The 100% vegan restaurant (their original location is in SF) serves an earthy, umami-packed burger that stands up against any meat version, made with a mushroom-based patty and topped with sweet grilled onions. If you’re after something a little more light, they also have salads, flatbreads, and mezze plates, plus a full bar. " - julia chen 1, ricky rodriguez

Wildseed is a pretty nice, fairly upscale vegan/vegetarian spot. I didn't realize it was vegetarian until I arrived, but still thoroughly enjoyed my meal, regardless. It's probably not a place I will revisit frequently, but I was quite impressed. The staff were very nice and friendly, the restaurant itself is quite nice, and the food was delicious, even if it isn't my normal thing. I was especially surprised by the chilled vegetables and humus. Somehow they made the vegetables delightfully salty. I quite enjoyed it. If you are looking for a solid spot, with vegetarian options, Wildseed is a great choice.

Google
Phenomenal experience. The food is excellent and delicious! The staff is so amazing, they go above and beyond, so nice! We tried the happy hour menu today! Highly recommend the "meat" balls are one of the best things that I have ever tasted. Sooo good! They have them in the spaghetti 🍝 on the main menu, easily my favorite dish. Their charcoal lemonade is also one of my all time favorite drinks!

Google
One of the BEST vegan restaurants I’ve been to so far—and we’ve tried many.. The Mezze platter was honestly so mouth watering good (the winner was the vegan cheese!!!) The hamburger was nostalgic and the cheesecake was way different than I was expecting!! I want to try the vegan chocolate chip cookie next time :) The outdoor seating was also a plus! A little chilly in the shade in May, but can you imagine how nice it’ll be in the summer? 😍

Google
My favourite vegan restaurant in all of Bay areas. Not only are the dishes delicious, they are also all healthier, made from unprocessed ingredients. Both the brunch and lunch menu are exquisite. And don't skip the skillet chocolate chip cookie with vanilla ice cream!

Google
Charming vegan restaurant with delicious food and excellent service! Food: They have limited menu for hours of the day, but they sure are tasty. We had the Fries with different sauces which were absolutely delicious, every sauce is a different experience. We shared the jackfruit pizza which melts off the crust. The basil gave it extra kick. Both dishes are good to share between 2 people. Service: Our servers were friendly, very knowledgeable about menu, and made great recommendations. Ambiance: Available outside seating is recommended. Nice, fenced and cool under the tree. Inside seating also available. Value: Bit pricy but were reasonable for the quality of food and service.

Google
I LOVE this place. I come to Palo Alto once a year on a work trip and always try to hit wildseed once or twice. Only recently did I become dairy & gluten free and this place is even more of a godsend now! I always get the salad. Had the tofu skewer for the first time and that was super great. Desserts are usually good too.

Google
Wildseed is such a great spot—I’ve been there a handful of times and it never disappoints. It’s one of my favorite vegan places (and I’m not vegan)! I always get the veggie burger and it’s consistently top notch. Their fresh juices are delicious, and the warm chocolate cake is a must-have. I usually go with my toddler and she loves it too, which says a lot! The food, service, and atmosphere are always on point. Highly recommend!

Google
Best vegan food 😭🩷 I really didn't know what to expect going here. Thought it would be tons of overrated vegan options but it's amazing. We got so many shareable items, we had to take our main meals to go. It also has the cutest drink selections with non-alcoholic options! Went with people that aren't vegan and they loved it too! The price might seem high... But you will see how much food you land up with. (Don't judge my bad photo) Absolutely returning!

Yelp
Great tasty selection of fresh veggie food. You will love it even if you're not vegetarian.

Yelp
I work nearby, so have come to Wildseed for lunch a few times and am a big fan. I am vegetarian/lean vegan, so it's great to have a place with so many options! I also like that there a lot of healthier options on the menu, but some burger/sandwich things if that's what you're in the mood for too. The space inside is really well designed and hip. I've been working my way through different menu options, and don't think I've had the same thing twice! My favorite so far was the watermelon feta salad, which is sadly only available in the summer. It was just so refreshing and tasty! Last time I tried the neatball masala bowl, which was was good. Flatbreads are super thin crust and pretty good too. If you're in the mood for a cocktail, they have a pretty fun menu! Wildseed is definitely a great addition to Town & Country and I hope they stick around for a long time.

Yelp
Wild seed is the only vegan restaurant I've tried in the Bay Area and I'm so grateful for it! It definitely has a more upscale feel and it's better suited for a sit down meal than to go, but I'm sure they provide both options. I tried the probiotic bowl with neat bowls and really enjoyed it. I loved all of the wholesome ingredients and nutrients that were in this delicious bowl! A menu favorite is the golden milk latte. I prefer it hot and sometimes I'll stop in for one whenever I need a pick me up. Located in town and country, this is a great spot for lunch after shopping.

Yelp
I'm just your regular meat-eating foodie, but good vegetarian/vegan is still appreciated. Wildseed definitively makes that cut being delicious and gorgeous to look at with great service for a lovely brunch experience. All around great technical execution and combinations! Beats out plenty of meat-eating spots and gives them a run for their money. A bit more premium in pricing, but flavors generally solid and leaning lighter in salt. Generally great service. Staff assisted us frequently in getting things in the works and paid attention to even small details like plate changes when appropriate (such as for a savory dish vs a sweet one). All around A+ staff service. =Curried Cauliflower= 3.5/5 A neat appetizer, but sadly the only miss in my book. Could've used more curry flavor / salt. Spot on in terms of doneness though, thoroughly cooked yet firm. Combined with the salsa(?) on the bottom it goes quite well but it was somewhat difficult to dab the thin layer. =Chilaquiles= 5/5 The "just egg" is surprsingly good; texture is slightly different and flavor has additional mung bean notes, but great on the browning and such. If you didn't mention it wasn't "real" egg, I honestly wouldn't have noticed! The just-crunchy nachos on the bottom blended really well and were just at the right texture to add that extra oomph without sharp contrast. =French Toast= 5/5 Something else with more of that lovely "just egg" browning. The berry compote was delightfully fruity, though a touch sweet for me (it was perfect for my sweet toothed brother though). =Corn cakes= 5/5 Would absolutely corn cake again. Luscious and creamy, savory yet sweet. Adding plenty of seared corn on top is figurative icing on this cake. That powerful aoili really cuts through in just the right way.

Yelp
As vegetarians, my husband and I love that it's fully plant-based, but I wish some of their year-round dishes had a bit more flavour and interesting combinations of ingredients. Their seasonal menu, however, is always intriguing, and I usually order something from that. The drinks are beautifully presented & taste pretty good. For their high prices, I expected a bit more creativity in exploring vegan cuisine.. the portion sizes are pretty small that I was not full even after having an entire entree for myself :/ The restaurant has a fantastic ambiance - always lively and bustling, so I recommend making a reservation because it fills up fast. Overall, it's a great spot for vegan food, but it's on the pricier side. I definitely won't be coming back often, but will consider for special occasions.

Yelp
3.5/5.0 stars - scrambled egg: doesn't look like scrambled egg at all but it's much better than traditional one. Arugula based salad with egg scrambled with some seasonal veggies. Eggs are soft and have a nice crispy texture outside from cheese. Flavor is on point. My fav dish of the meal today. - veggie burger (with tempeh "bacon" added): would skip this. The patty doesnt have a patty texture at all. Everything just fall apart as you bite into it. Taste is also very mediocre. The fries with homemade ketchup are nice though. - mezze platter: homemade flatbread is just okay, cheese is good, orange (carrot (?)) hummus is plain, the babaganoush is great. The arugula salad is good but I don't like the "neat ball" that comes with it. - pina colada mocktail is quite interesting with multiple layers of taste when you drink it. Overall, this is a decent option for vegetarian food, especially for vegetarian brunch

Yelp
Came back again and had another delightful experience. We got there at opening (11:30 AM) so we had our choice for seating. Our server was great although one of the cleanup staff had too much cologne on! When he came to fill our water glasses, I had to hold my breath! To be fair, I'm a bit sensitive so scents so it probably wasn't very overpowering but nonetheless all on my table caught a whiff. This time we got the "chicken" sandwich, an Impossible burger, and a Probiotic bowl along with the NA GT. Like last time, the fries were impeccable. So nice and crunchy on the outside but still soft in the middle. The chipotle aioli didn't have the kick that I thought it had last time but it was still good. Anyway, the portions were generous and all of the food was tasty (see photos). We had time for dessert so ordered the chocolate beet cake. It sounded interesting and it was simply delicious. A carmelized 1/2 banana and chocolate "ice cream" went very well with the chocolate beet cake which wasn't too sweet and super moist. I'm thinking next time (there WILL be a next time), we've got to save a little more space for dessert because this one was very memorable.

Yelp
such a good restaurant, loved the fresh/in season themed menu. Felt that the food was fresh. Sat inside and it was quite busy but was luckily seated fast. I liked the food and i'm excited to come back to see the new menu!

Yelp
An absolute gem of brunch. Wildseed far surpassed my expectations for vegan/vegetarian food! I treated my partner's family to brunch here and we were in disbelief of how delicious the just egg, soyrizo, and coconut cheese was! FOOD [5/5] ========== + Chilaquiles + Soyrizo [5/5] One of the best dishes we ate. The "soyrizo" tasted EXACTLY like chorizo and the whole dish was just really perfectly balanced in terms of flavor and portion size. Would recommend ordering. + Spicy sausage omelet [4/5] This was good but a basic and plain dish. I think their other dishes were better! + Arugula + "Feta Cheese" [5/5] Again such a hit! The "feta cheese" tasted quite like real cheese and the salad was a great portion size and tasted delicious. I would order this again! SERVICE [4/5] =========== Our initial hostess was so kind and attentive! The service afterwards was nice as well, but took a really long time (I think we sat for 30 minutes before receiving our water and drinks, and another 15 minutes for food). We were sat outside and the breeze was quite nice. The kind gift of a flower and free dessert for Mother's Day was absolutely adorable! :)

Yelp
A vegan place that really knows how to season! Came here on a Wednesday evening as a party of 4. Did not have to wait since there were a few empty tables. They started us off with some sort of celery soup with pumpkin seeds, which was good and kinda had the consistency of baby food. Then, I got to try the following: - Curried Cauliflower (4/5): The cauliflower is seasoned well and the red sauce paired with the cauliflower is great. - Mushroom Zeppole (4.5/5): The texture of the mushroom is amazing. I don't usually like mushrooms but this surprised me. The mayo aioli sauce paired well with the dish as well. - Spicy Yellow Curry (5/5): So good! It's not that spicy but it's packed with flavor. The portion was large as well. For drinks, I got a Strawberry Bloom Martini, which looked nice but was so strong on the alochol. It had a nice fruity aroma to it but I couldn't get past how strong and prominent the spirit was. For dessert, we ordered a Warm Chocolate Cake. The cake was a bit dry, probably due to lack of eggs. The ice cream was good and the chocolate avocado ganache and banana were delicious. We were trying to guess where the avocado was and could barely tell that it was part of the ganache! If you're looking for a vegan restaurant or just want to be surprised by how much flavor can be packed in a dish, I'd recommend this spot! The service was also good. Just a heads up that they do have a 4% charge for employee benefits but it is mentioned in fine print on their menu.

Yelp
Ambiance is lovely, typical Palo Alto quiet luxury, rustic and earthy charm. They have a seating indoors and outdoors. Outdoor seating is great as well if weather allows it. Menu is not very extensive but apparently changes seasonally which is great. We asked our waiter for recommendations and he suggested the polenta cakes so this is what we got Polenta cakes-5/5-mushroom ragu, three polenta cakes. Two of us cleaned it up within minutes of arriving at our table. The cakes had a crispy exterior and incredibly delicious and soft interior. The mushroom sauce had a mix of baby mushrooms as well. It was topped by some kind of cheese which tasted eerily similar to Parmesan but it can't be, isn't this place vegan?? Probiotic bowl-5/5-purple yams, mushrooms, black beans, wild rice, kimchi and green goddess. Comment from my dining partner- I am confused, why is this dish so amazing if it's vegan and healthy? Haha!! This bowl had the best mushrooms I ever had. They were roasted, had a wonderful char and meaty texture. The purple yams lent a sweet note, the mushrooms were the umami goodness, the kimchi was the probiotic element which also lent a sour flavor, the beans and rice were the heartiness contributors. All the elements worked cohesively to become one of the best bowls I had. I recommend getting this if you are confused about what to get. Neatball masala-4/5-ancient grains, balls made with lentils, coconut gravy masala, pickled carrots and soy tzatziki. The masala gravy had the consistently of a thick paste rather than a thick luscious gravy though flavors were well developed. The coconut felt very heavy, the pickled carrots helped cut through some of it. The consistency of the ancient grains and the balls were kind of the same so it didn't allow for much textural play. The bowl just felt very heavy and needs some tweaks. This is not fine dining but more of a luxury farm to table kind of a restaurant. I enjoyed everything I had and can see myself coming back to try something new as the menu changes seasonally.

Yelp
Giving it a 3.75 but rounding up to 4. Honestly didn't think too much if this was vegan or not, but the menu was simple enough for a quick brunch. Wish I had more veggies on the side of my omelette instead of potatoes and bread. But the vegan cheese was really yummy! Price is pretty reasonable too. The ambiance indoors was really cute and perfect for dates or girls brunch.

Yelp
I came here on Valentines Day and all tables were reserved but we were able to wait for about 35 minutes to get seated at the bar and order from the same menu. Bartender and staff were all friendly! We ordered the wild mushroom zeppole for appetizers and I'd say this was my favorite. For the entree we had the Peruvian hodo soy tofu skewers, which were satisfying and didn't leave me feeling overfilled. For drinks I enjoyed the black sesame cocktail as it was a sweet and calm flavor. As for the blueberry sour is was a little too sour for me I would probably pass on this one next time

Yelp
Interesting option for vegan food. Great ambiance, convenient location at Town and Country shopping center, and good service. Food itself was decent but not that amazing. The "Just egg" but not egg was a novelty but would not have it again. Drinks were nice and the mezze platter was probably the best part of the meal.

Yelp
went in for the first time at lunch and it was amazing! Will definitely be back soon. The guy at the door gave us a warm welcome and let us know the specials & recommendations due to it being our first time. He was super kind & helpful which was appreciated. Food came out amazing! We finished every last bite. The cucumbers & chicken sandwich is a must, so much flavor. The over ambiance here was super refreshing with all the plants & natural light. Can't wait to come back and try other things! :)

Yelp
I've come here multiple times and this place is definitely between 4 and 5 stars for me! The flatbreads here are amazing I always get them and the pasta dishes are also very good. The appetizers are a hit or miss, the wild mushroom zeppole is good but I think the polenta cakes and brussels spouts are a bit dry/bland. The fries dipping sauces are actually surprisingly good as well! Service and ambiance are great too even though it can get a bit loud and crowded at times! I think overall a good place to go with vegetarian/vegan friends but I found some food blander than others. overall would recommend though!

Yelp
This is our go to place when in the area. Normally we reserve it in advance but for outdoor patio there is hardly any wait even on Sunday morning. Their service is very friendly, they sit you right away. Their patio is covered with the big tree right next door so no issues with direct sun light. On this visit we ordered: - wildseed scramble - french toast - charcoal lemonade - coffee As usual great service, delicious food and drinks.

Yelp
Wow. This location used to be Mayfield which was nice, but Wildseed is amazing. This is a fully vegan restaurant with super flavorful food. My friend who made reservations is a massive carnivore, but says he likes the food here and feels full after. We had a flatbread to start which is circular like a pizza. Then I had a curry dish. Their portions are huge so I enjoyed leftovers for lunch the next day.

Yelp
Wildseed is a great spot if you're looking for plant based food that is full of flavor! The Mexican corn cakes were the highlight of my meal, crispy and with a delicious sauce. We followed that with the squash flatbread, which was quite filling and had interesting flavors (although I found myself taking off some of the arugula to taste the other toppings better). The interior of the restaurant is cute and decorated with plants. We went at the same time as a large (75+ person) team event, and despite the servers being incredibly busy, we were met with very friendly service! I'll definitely be back to try more of their menu items.

Yelp
One of my favorites in the bay area for vegan food. I first discovered their location in SF, and was happily to learn that they opened one in Palo Alto a couple of years back. I have visited Wildseed Palo Alto location multiple times- for brunches to dinners and it's been pretty consistent. The space itself is welcoming, great for big groups but also great for date nights. They have both indoor and outdoor space. It gets busy, so I would recommend reserving in advance especially for big groups. There is some bar seating and self-order booths which are a good option if you come in at last minute. The menu itself has plenty of options, local, and seasonal. My favorites: Neatball Masala bowl - the sauce is flavorful, with great texture of walnut neatballs and one of their popular dishes. The other favorite would be their flatbreads- whatever is in season. The Mexican corn cakes, summer salads are also pretty good. The chocolate cake is decadent that is served with glazed banana and vegan ice cream. Amongst brunch items, pancakes are great too. Highly recommend it if you haven't tried it yet.

Yelp
I absolutely enjoy going to vegan restaurants. The decor on this one is pretty cute. As a group of 2 we were here for early dinner on a weekend. We got seated right away. We tried the following : Corn cakes : 5/5. They were really nice and fluffy. Pugliese : 4/5. The paste was nice , liked the sausage that came with it. Would have liked it to be slightly saucy though. Bowl : 4/5. This one was pretty good as well. The dressing really elevated the dish. Chocolate cake : 4/5. This wasn't too sweet. Liked the ice cream and banana that came with it.

Yelp
Wildseed is a great place with a cozy and inviting atmosphere. I loved the cauliflower; it was well-seasoned and full of flavor. The mezze plate was also delicious, with the bread having a great texture--something I hadn't experienced before. The iced latte wasn't anything special, but the banana fritters with ganache were a delightful treat. I would definitely order everything again, except for the iced latte. Overall, a wonderful dining experience with standout dishes. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Great spot for vegans. Their ingredients are fresh as I watched from the bar someone making their peach cobbler! Bar staff were friendly. The decor is tropical theme and at the back has a wall that has beautiful artwork! Their Holy basil cocktail was the hitter for me! Has a little kick after. Easy to drink Lilikoi Lei was too strong for me, but still tasty.

Yelp
Super yummy food and great eating spot! Food is kinda salty and bland. The ambiance is very nice. Prices are kind of on the high side, which makes sense since it's in PA. Service was great

Yelp
Went here when I was in CA for a few appointments. I found this place on Yelp of course and was so excited to try it due to the amazing reviews, menu, and the fact it was clean vegan. The inside was so beautiful, and I really loved the aesthetics. The staff were all extremely friendly and had amazing customer service. Our waitress let us know they encourage family style on the menu as the portions are a bit big. We ordered burgers so we didn't get to try this out. While I appreciated the fresh ingredients in the food, it lacked a bit for me in the flavor department, and the prices were a bit too high for the outcome of the product. The fries were a bit dry, unseasoned, and did not seem freshly made. They tasted a bit old like they had been sitting out for a while. I will add that I am a bit picky about my fries and we did come when they seemed to be doing shift change. I am always on the lookout for house-made vegan burgers, so I tried the Wildseed Burger which had a great mixture of ingredients, but again just lacked in seasoning for my preference. The Iced Golden Latte was by far my favorite thing; nice and refreshing and I love that they added agave as a sweetener. For dessert we tried the Chocolate chip cookie which was so good, packed with chocolate chips, and fresh out the oven! Definitely a shareable item for sure. I am truly glad I was able to try Wildseed while in town. Maybe if I go back I will ask for the recommended or most popular items.

Yelp
A great place to eat for vegan! Innovative, creative dishes that you don't feel you are missing meat! Impressive non-alcoholic beverage selection as well as wine by glass or bottle. Outdoor dining area under a large tree is perfect for diners wanting fresh air. It is located inside busy and bustling Town and Country Shopping Center, corner of Embarcadero Exp and El Camino Real. Delicious food and friendly staff. Although moderately priced, we spent about $60 pp for lunch all inclusive. We kept adding more portion as the food was so yummy, so they add up more than anticipated. They are adding 4% worker benefits to every check. Note- if you are on Jain or Buddhist vegan diet without onion and garlic, your menu selection is limited to a few entrees as most of their sauces contain both.

Yelp
Note- This review is for my dining experience at Wildseed sometime late last year. First things first, don't rely on their online menu. I looked at that before going to the restaurant and was excited to try a particular dish only to find out that they have a seasonal menu that isn't posted on their website. Please keep in mind that while a lot of the dishes on their online menu and in-person menu may be the same, there are still quite a few differences. I was told that their menu will change next week and some of their dishes would be going away. My friend and I ordered curried cauliflower, spicy yellow curry, and an al pastor bowl. Curried cauliflower was our appetizer. It was served cold and was very bland. It came with a sauce, but there wasn't enough sauce for the amount of cauliflower you get. The sauce was also mediocre and wouldn't stick to the cauliflower. For our entree, our server informed us that one of the dishes was ready and the other one was almost done, so as expected, when the food came out, one entree was hot and the other was cold. They didn't bother to reheat the cold entree before serving it. Both the al pastor bowl and the spicy yellow curry were decent, but they didn't stand out. We were already thinking about ordering dessert when we placed our order, but after that whole experience, we decided not to order it. For what it's worth, my friend and I really liked the ambiance and the interior. It was very cozy, welcoming, and vibrant. The restaurant was packed, so I highly recommend making a reservation ahead of time.

Yelp
Wildseed is a gem in Palo Alto! The menu is full of creative, delicious plant-based options, and everything I tried was amazing. The atmosphere is modern and welcoming, and the staff is super friendly. Whether you're vegan or just looking for great food, this place is a must-try!

Yelp
So good! Everything from the food, ambiance and service was fantastic and I'll definitely be coming back. My partner is vegetarian and while most restaurants do give her some options, she never gets to experience the excruciating agony of too many choices, so I was delighted to bring her somewhere she could hypothetically eat anything on the menu. We tried the wild mushroom zeppole (could have eaten a million of these. The texture was perfect), little gem salad (nice touches and good portion), English pea ravioli (excellent and fresh but could have used a little more salt and acid to liven it up) and the fig flatbread (again, great texture and the tempeh was a flashback to college hah). All really wonderful dishes and great textures. The kitchen knows their stuff. For dessert we had the warm chocolate cake with beet ice cream and bruleed banana. It was good and not too sweet or heavy which I appreciated. My date got the skin contact pinot noir to drink and I had the yellow fancy juice. Both were tasty. The patio is great for people watching and gets great sunset light. The tree there is also really gorgeous, and they have cute string lights. Bike parking is right nearby

Yelp
We came to Wildseed with family and close friends to celebrate a birthday. The all-vegetarian menu was a big win--my wife and her friend were thrilled to have free reign over the options without any "sorry, just salad" moments. It felt like the stars were aligned, especially with all the rave reviews I'd read beforehand. Let's start with the good stuff: the ambiance is fantastic, and the service is as friendly as it gets. Plus, being across the street from Stanford University meant we could take a nice post-meal stroll to soak in the scenery and let the meal settle. They also get big points for offering a reasonably priced kids' menu, which made dining with our crew of four adults and four kids a little easier on the wallet. And then... the food came. We ordered the Neatball Masala, Impossible Burger, Curried Cauliflower, Mezze Plate, and a few other dishes that, frankly, were so forgettable they've already vanished from memory. The total bill came to $250, which isn't terrible for eight people, but I couldn't help feeling we paid premium prices for premium blandness. I've had Impossible Burgers that made me question reality--this one made me question my life choices. The fries were the MVP of the meal, which says a lot about the rest of it. As much as I'd love to be a regular supporter of a cool vegetarian spot like this, I just can't. Wildseed, it's not me--it's you. Two stars for great vibes, friendly service, and a thoughtful kids' menu, but the food left me hungry for something more... memorable.

aesthetic: 5/5 food: 5/5 service: 5/5 i'm super happy that one of my go-to sf eateries is so close to home!! wildseed is perfect for all kinds of occasions and for everyone -- their comforting and consistently delicious vegan food has made my formerly-hesistant plant-based-eating friends want to eat here every day. i recommend coming here for mid-day or dinner solely because of their mushroom zepolles -- the aioli dip accompaniment is that good on its own!! i always feel healthy and the right amount of full from eating here, and dining on the cosy patio makes wildseed the spot to have a dinner conversation without the typical excess background noise. service is friendly and efficient, and i especially appreciate the times when we've gotten dessert on the house for celebrating a birthday :) with wildseed's all-around amazingness, i 100% will continue to be a regular here!!

Yelp
*Parking: Located in the plaza across from Palo Alto Highschool filled with restaurants and shops so parking may be a bit difficult if you come at peak times l. *Experience: We got here around noon and was seated immediately in the outdoor patio to enjoy the Sunday sun. Service was quick and friendly. Ambiance was nice. *Food: The one star is really for the food. I was pretty excited to try this place but it fell short of expectations. The wildseed burger came out completely cold. The buns were not even toasted and the fries were straight up cold and stale. The carbonara flat bread was decent but had uneven distribution of ingredients. At least it was fresh and warm as compared to the burger. Overall the meal was quite disappointing.

Yelp
Tried this vegan spot for Peninsula restaurant week and it did not disappoint. We were given healthy portions and the staff were attentive and informative about the menu. The salad was so fresh and crunchy. The mocktail was gingery and yummy. The polenta cakes were some of my favorite and the mushrooms were plump and didn't make me miss the meat. The neatball masala was yummy but some of the sauces felt a bit disjointed, all components were tasty. Finally the panna cotta was very thick and coconutty reminded me of eating coconut milk from a can. Yummy but rather dense, didn't have that springy bounce like milk panna Cotta.

Yelp
Committed the terrible faux pas of stopping by about 15-20 before close but it was the best option in the area to support my besties needs for clean, vegetarian nourishment. Wildseed ticked all the boxes. Vibes: immaculate - no rush, no pressure. Playlist: light lush. Service: gracious, patient, generous. Food: memorable and delectable. She loved the spicy cucumber and baba ghanoush. New craving unlocked for both with the grilled broccoli and mushrooms (charred lemon squeeze crucial). Will return to taste it all.

Yelp
Surprisingly the food here was pretty good! I didn't expect a vegetarian place to have amazing food! I really enjoyed the eggs salad that I ordered, and my friend also really enjoyed her spicy egg omelette! The service here was pretty good. The food came pretty fast. The environment is very cute, however, my only complaint was that even though I reserved indoor seating, they were only able to give us outdoor seating and it was on a very hot day!

Yelp
Wow a lot has changed since my last visit - met a GF here of an early dinner at 5pm - had a great experience with our server - sorry can't recall her name but she was so friendly, happy to explain the menu and thoughtful on her suggestions. Seems like most people were sitting outside under the lovely Oak tree so it was nice a quiet inside. We tried each of the burgers on the menu - seemed to come out very quickly = the only negative feedback on mine is to put any spread on the top bun rather than the bottom cause it came apart almost at the beginning of eating it since it was soggy - so had to resort fork and knife :) Now that I am fully on the plant based diet, its nice that this trip went so well.

Yelp
I enjoy Wildseed if I'm feeling spontaneously Veggie or Vegan. Their food is very good and service matches. Full bar seating and tables. The creativity the chefs put into the dishes is phenomenal.

Yelp
Came here a with a gf for an early catchup dinner date. The restaurant is in a busy plaza (near one of my fave Spanish restaurants) - but we came here in light of being a bit more healthy and vegan for the day. The interior is cute & casual, with an island café style/vibe. Menu serves up new American dishes (great for sharing), with a pretty interesting cocktail variety as well. Overall - I'd say as an avid meat lover... the food was tasty for vegan...But OFC - there was a bit lacking in texture/flavor within some dishes without a bit of protein that I think could have just used extra seasoning. Ultimately, my tummy was content & I would try this place again if around the area - but not sure if any dish was enough for me to go out of my way for overall. Food Talk: (1) Wild mushroom fritters - this was OK, the texture was interesting (not quite soft, not quite crispy); while the flavor just really needed more mushroom in it. (2) Orecchiette pasta - this was the best dish; the pasta was cooked perfectly, beyond sausages added flavor and protein, while the veggies and sauce was perfectly creamy yet light at the same time. (3) Arugula Salad - the salad was good and refreshing; light vinaigrette dressing with a nice topping variety that added a different texture per bite. (4) Apple Crumble Dessert - was OK, was a bit too sweet for my personal preference...but the textures were good & my friend loved it. (5) Holy Basil & White Linen Cocktail - both were refreshing and light, alchy was also a bit light, BUT I did LOVE the basil seed ice cube in my drink!

Yelp
This is now my second plant based restaurant that I've been to and it did not disappoint. My friend and I came across Wildseed for restaurant week, the prefixed menu caught our attention and so reservations were made and dinner was served. First off, really like the decor of this restaurant, we were seated quickly once there and our server came by shortly after to offer menus. We went with the prefixed menu and got the green salad, polenta cakes, neatball masala and vanilla coconut panna cotta. The star of the night were the polenta cakes, if there is one reason I'm back for, it'll be those hehe they were so flavorful, the tomato ragu was excellent and the coconut parmesan sure did fool me lol. The main dish, neatball masala was really good, I loved the crispiness of the neatball and the tzatziki, I wasn't a big fan of the masala sauce, I'd probably order this dish with out it next time. To finish, we had the dessert which was just alright, the panna cotta was very dense, I couldn't finish it but I did enjoy the jam, fruits and mint that came with it, specially the pistachios which really added some nice crunch to the bite. Shout out to our server, I can't remember her name now but she was friendly, attentive and helpful with suggestions when it came to our drinks. I'll definitely be back to try the other items on the menu that caught my attention and you should definitely give this place a try if you're in the area. If not for food, at least for the yummy cocktails.

Yelp
Giving average only bc I've been here a few times and the service could use improvement. The spicy yellow curry is delicious, but it is served with wayyyyyyyy too much rice and skimps on the veggies. It has a nice level of spice and strong curry flavor. Very thick and creamy. The grilled asparagus is perfectly charred yet still has some crunch. The fermented garlic sauce is light but flavorful. It almost reminds you of a gooey cheese sauce. The charred lemon is the perfect touch. The strawberry rhubarb crumble was bitter (as I wanted it to be )... lots of rhubarb and just a trace amount of strawberries. The graham crumble is neutral. The oatmilk ice cream a semi bland and kind of icy. I was pleased that it was not pure sugar. The down side is the dish was soupy... it ran off the spoon and the rhubarb and strawberries were pretty much mush. At least it still had the flavor of those two items even if it was like soup.

Yelp
Service and food were great, but it's a loud place--not a place to go if you'd like to hear one another.

Yelp
A sos so place . To begin with , it is hard to make a really tasty food that is 100% vegan so good for them for trying ... Here's what w had: 1) polenta cakes - a little bland...the tomato sauce did feel fresh but overall pretty mediocre . 3/5 2) mushroom fritters - pretty good and crispy . The dough reminded me a doughnut. 4/5 3) mushroom risotto - really quite tasteless ...they need to work on the right balance of flavors for this one . We added salt but this didn't help too much .2/5 4) spicy curry - that was a great dish . Large and generous and the wild rice was great . The sauce was a tad bit too watery but overall the best dish in this meal . 4/5 Service was attentive and the decor and atmosphere was nice . If you are a vegan looking for a restaurant that might be a choice for a meal , but if you're not , there are many other alternatives

Yelp
Blegh. Wouldn't return. The service was okay, we got drinks and food. The waiter was cordial but not exceptional service. The atmosphere is nice and hip. The food was terrible. We got the shepherds pie and one of the bowls and it was actually terrible. It was bland, not that hot and my tofu wasn't cooked well. The drinks were also very whatever. Overall I would never return nor would I recommend.

Yelp
Very interesting, unique, and picturesque dishes and nice brunch environment! My group shared 4 dishes and they were all hit or miss for me. I really enjoyed the red velvet pancakes (not too sweet) and the neatball masala (so flavorful). But the spicy sausage flatbread and chilaquiles not as much. Service was very friendly but a bit slow at times.

Had a lovely late night bite with my bestie. Wonderful and kind staff. The vibes were great as well! The spicy cucumbers were my fave!

Yelp
Great place for a happy hour or dinner! I like the seasonal changes of the menu, and the creativity and variety of plant-based dishes. I especially enjoyed the spicy cucumber appetizer dish and the squash flatbread pizza!

Yelp
Great selection of vegetarian food and good choices for cocktails and wine. Food was delicious, service was awesome and ambiance was decent. Parking was easy given it's a mall - I went on a weeknight, so it may be diff on weekend. I wanted to try sf wildseed and got to Palo Alto first. Will return for sure!
