Bar, patio & haven for Wisconsinites with cheese curds & other pub grub plus TVs tuned to the game.
"Wisconsin teams are prominent at this Lakeview dive with a massive patio with a bar and TVs that play big games during crisp fall days. A surprisingly diverse menu includes most bar staples from burgers, and wings, to salads, but let’s give a shout-out to the cheese curds which aren’t to be missed." - Eater Staff
"CCWs are a great hangover food—especially if they're made with fried chicken. That’s what Will’s in Lakeview does, and the crunch factor is high: The croutons and lettuce stay crisp despite being well-dressed, it comes with a pickle, and there’s an extra layer of crunch from the fried chicken. Interestingly, the wrap includes chunks of tomato and comes with so much filling that the extra is served as a side salad. It’s such a great approximation of nutrition you’ll completely forget about those five vodka sodas from last night." - veda kilaru
"Will’s Northwoods Inn is a true neighborhood bar—nicer than a dive, but not a fancy cocktail spot by any means. That middle ground can be pretty hard to find, but this Lakeview sports bar (that could double as a Wisconsin hunting lodge) does it well. Bartenders know locals by name, there’s a weekly fish fry, and events like trivia regularly draw crowds. But the masses really show up on Packers and Badger game days—there won’t be an inch of standing room available. Plan a visit for any other time, maybe for day-drinking on the patio or an evening catch-up with friends. Like all spots with cult followings, this place is random to those who don’t know it and essential to those (Wisconsinites) who do." - Veda Kilaru
"Team: Wisconsin, Green Bay Packers. It’s safe to wear your green and gold inside Will’s, where crowds fill the bar and participate in halftime raffles." - Ashok Selvam
"Perhaps the most Wisconsin bar in Chicago, Will’s Northwoods Inn is the place for Wisconsinites to find respite. From Musky Fest to Packerpalooza and even a cheese curds crawl, Will’s Northwoods embraces everything Wisconsin. Traditional and simple, grab the cheese curds with ranch and dream sweet dreams of New Glarus Spotted Cow." - Elizabeth Atkinson
