"Wilma’s offers four lanes of duckpin bowling, which is similar to regular tenpin bowling with smaller pins and balls. Inside a stunning former downtown bank building, this fun spot serves a New Orleans-inspired menu with gumbo, alligator sliders, po’ boys, and red beans and rice. A long bar offers a serious cocktail menu, plus frozen hurricanes in souvenir glasses, just like on Bourbon Street." - Ernest Owens, Sarah Maiellano

"It might seem like an unlikely combo at first, but there’s something about drinking a frozen rum cocktail while playing ten-pin bowling and snacking on chicken tenders and po’boys that just works. That’s exactly what you can do at Wilma’s, and all of it makes for one of the best group activities or places to take your kids in Wilmington. This mix of sunny bar and lounge, with four lanes that can be reserved ahead for ten-pin bowling, involves fewer, smaller pins than regular bowling, plus a shorter lane that’s a little easier (especially once the drinks start flowing). If you need a break from rolling gutter balls, they also have a sit-down restaurant." - maddy sweitzer lamme

We had an amazing experience! We tried the Thursday tasting menu special and it was so much fun. We got to try 12 different things on the menu. The pork belly and crab dip were amazing! The crab cake and shrimp and grits were equally delicious. There were great gluten free options. The manager was very friendly and answered all our questions. The space was both historic and modern. We would definitely come again. Even took home a Photo Booth souvenir!

The Shrimp and Grits & Fried Catfish were delicious and our server was AMAZING. It got a little loud due to a child's b/d party being held in the mini bowling alley, but we didn't mind. I will definitely return!

Pretty good and friendly place. Food was delicious, pricing was okay. They do automatically put on a 20% gratuity so pay attention when you're paying your bill. They also have a duckpin bowling alley. I would not mind coming back to visit again.

If you are going to charge $16-18 dollars for a cocktail, I’m going to expect excellent execution. My cocktail was just okay, no flair or garnish. The service was poor. We were not greeted by anyone when we walked in, sat at the bar and were ignored by the bartender for a bit. The couple next to us offered their drink menu and later their food menu. We had the wings, they were tasty but lackluster, didn’t come with a sauce. We weren’t asked until after the plate was in front of us if we wanted blue cheese or ranch. No celery, nothing extra. These are all things that could have been fixed with better service. Prices are high for the level of execution. I was underwhelmed, at least they validate parking.

We ordered the nachos with smoked chicken but didn't find any chicken. The nachos were good though with the gumbo on top. The truffle fries with the steak were hard as a rock. My Qwak drink I did not taste rosemary or duck fat at all. With bowling being in the same building it was a bit loud. Service was a bit slow but thankfully the staff worked together to check on tables.

Came across Wilma’s when looking for a brunch spot. We stopped in and tried the cornbread, shrimp and grits, bread pudding and pitcher of orange mimosas. Everything we had was amazing. It was soooo delicious, it was also great that they offered 3 hours of complimentary parking so after eating we were able to walk around. This is my new fav brunch spot.

My experience at Wilma's was mediocre. Starting off the atmosphere was not what I expected. The bowling ball alleys were very small and didn't live up to my expectations. Next, the service our waitress and the bartender were outstanding! No negative comments to that topic! Lastly, the food first we ordered the gumbo and red beans and rice. Never again. Me and my family are from New Orleans so we know what authentic creole food taste like. And this was not one of them. The broth was very unpleasant and the rice was undercooked. Next, the red beans and rice. Right off the bat it looked disgusting! We sent it right back to the kitchen 10 out of 10 DONT recommend. For me and my families meal we got the shrimp n' grits, catfish shrimp and grits, and the hot and honey wings. The shrimp and grits were surprisingly really good I liked the creaminess and the flavor to the sauce, also the shrimp were very well seasoned. The next plate was the catfish shrimp and grits. Same thing just with catfish. The breading for the catfish and shrimp was very good and I enjoying indulging in this dish. Lastly, the wings the sauce was very sweet more than hot, but it was pretty good. Inside the wings were very dry and not moist at all. What I will say is the smoky taste inside the wings is very pleasing. Overall, my experience at Wilma's was a solid 5/10 wouldn't come back, but if I did it would only be for the drinks. The bartenders skills are excellent!

As French culinary art trained Creole and Cajun chefs, both my wife and I read about Wilma's and wanted to give it a try. We got multiple dishes to share and try, we looked at posted photos that appeared very appetizing but let me share our experience: atmosphere and customer service were 5 star, now for the food and how the owners are choosing to run their establishment; we ate there with a 5 pm reservation in which we saw there were some happy hour food prices that you could not get unless you sat at the bar (of which the seating was very limited). Never been to any eating establishment that designates you to have to sit at the bar to receive happy hour food prices. We started with a bowl of gumbo and jambalaya, jambalaya was absolutely perfect and spot on. The gumbo however was bland and had absolutely no flavor (horrible for gumbo), we had the shrimp and grits (grits appeared to be white grits, and the shrimp and grits were all spice with none of the flavors of the vegetable gravy, shrimp, or anything else), very disappointing. We ordered a 3 course dinner in which the fresh mozzarella salad was delicious (hard to mess that up), the flank steak was thin sliced like ribeye cheesesteak meat with very little flavor, and the grasshopper ice cream pie , which was very good. Now to the check, this establishment automatically includes a 20% tip to the bill. I understand that waitresses and waiters make very little money and depend on tips, and some people won't tip no matter how good the service or food is. I however don't agree with the automatic 20 % tip based on the fact that what if the food isn't great or the service was horrible, then I'm forced to tip on bad food and service, don't agree with this. Food needs a lot of work if you are going to call this traditional Cajun and Creole, we probably won't return for a second time

Yelp
We visited Wilma's today and had a great time. Wilma's is a restaurant, bar, and bowling alley (more details on that later, because it's limited bowling). (We lived in Nashville for a years, and Wilma's is quite a bit like Pinewood Social.) We didn't eat, so I can't speak to the food, but we did have drinks. But we were there to bowl. So what do you need to know? Wilma's has four lanes. And they're short length and duckpin bowling. (If you're unfamiliar with duckpin bowling, definitely google it, but a quick description: smaller pins, heavier pins, balls you hold in your palm, popular in a few states on the East Coast.) We reserved our lane online in advance, which I recommend, especially given they only have four lanes. When we arrived in the late afternoon a Saturday, we were the only lane in use, but then for a while, all four lanes were in use. We bowled for an hour and a half, but most parties bowled for just an hour. Their menu is varied: wine, beer, NA cocktails, cocktails. Between my husband and me, we tried a few cocktails and a glass of wine. They serve you at the lane, so you don't have to go to the bar for a drink during your bowling. And the service was great. Overall, just a cool spot: fun drinks, great vibes, and duckpin bowling? A great way to spend a few hours!

Yelp
We had a very good experience, with the food side of Wilma's as we stopped in for an early southern dinner before hitting the DE Art Museum. It would be a 5, but the rice in our gumbo dish was undercooked, and per our conversation with our server, this seems to be a more regular issue than it should be. Use a timer to cook the rice. Otherwise, our meals were memorable and enjoyable. We came in around 3:30 for a late lunch/early dinner and ordered the Gumbo and shrimp and grits dishes with a side of cornbread. These are very traditional and I'd expect, the most requested dishes. Great plating presentations. very tasty and filling as we shared both dishes. Funny how restaurant staff sometimes freeze up when we tell them to pace our dishes as we share each dish. You'd think the server would be forward-thinking and bring small plates and ask the kitchen to pace the dishes. In this scenario, both dishes came out together and we had to ask for the small plates. Our server, Jasime, was polite, engaging and helpful. We'll come back again as we love the food group and hopefully, next time will be a 5-star review. See my food pics, don't blame me if you drool on your phones.

Yelp
Wanted to try the duckpin but all lanes were full... Decent happy hour, not really sure about that 20% automatic gratuity. Guess it's a Wilmington thing... Order a couple of suds and the HH chicken sandwich . Maybe next time I'll get to bowl.

Yelp
Made a reservation for saturday night dinner. everything started off good. fast service for food and drinks. when our entrees came everything looked good. i was about halfway done my meal the risotto when i bit into a chunk of hard clear plastic about the size of my fingernail. it was very hard and mixed into my meal. i brought it to the servers attention very politely, here is where it gets weirder. The server asked to see the piece of plastic to which i handed it to him. He said "i thought it would've been worse" and proceeds to throw the piece of plastic across the restaurant. Nothing was done further.

Yelp
The service was great from my server Cassi. She was exceptional and very attentive. My only drawback from the restaurant was the lack of attention when it came to the kitchen staff. I was eating food, specifically their loaded potatoes and I bit into the clip that is used to keep potatoes and bread closed. That was very disheartening for me, it made me lose my entire appetite. As mentioned the restaurant is nice and my server was great but the lack of accountability and discipline towards the kitchen staff is where I believe Wilma's has missed the mark. Most likely won't be visiting here again. Oh and I forgot to mention when the food came out it was extremely cold.

Yelp
Came here to bowl ducks and then eat foods. Elected not to eat foods after hanging out a bit. We tried the frozen hurricane daiquiri which was great. We also had a drink called the shrubbery that everybody pronounced differently. It's not juicy and sweet but it doesn't claim to be. I liked it I try to not review on things that are out of everyone's control but the lane placement is very off putting to me lol

Cameryn J.

Yelp
A really big space with quick and friendly service. The food was good. The menu really just wasn't for me but that's okay!

Morgan C.

Yelp
Wilma's is a cute spot with bowling and games. Cute decor and great natural light in the dining area. Service was fine, perfectly friendly and polite. It was surprisingly quiet and empty for prime Sunday brunch, though. Maybe it's more popular in the evening. Food and drinks were nothing special and were somewhat underwhelming. The cocktail we both ordered sounded great from the description - I was looking forward to some blackberries and basil, but that was not what we received. We both started with small but tasty cornbread, as there were no real "starters" or "shareables" on the menu. My shrimp po' boy was, again, nothing special. Overall, just average and underwhelming. I would go back if invited, but there are other spots I'd rather visit when I'm back in the area.

Yelp
Warm, friendly service and excellent food. Surprisingly also had bowling alley inside. Try impressed with shrimp gnocchi and shrimp and grits. Lots of fun cocktails. Crab eggrolls were ok but the alligator sliders were fantastic!! I know right - I ate alligator. Had to talk myself into it though . No regrets!! Highly recommend. When you travel- eat local!!!

Yelp
Never been before. A friend and I were going to a show at the Grand and saw this online and decided to try it out. Fortunately we got there early because it filled up fast (wedding reception). It was cool, loud, people from all walks of life, the food was FANTASTIC (We'll be back for sure!), and while we weren't there for the cocktails, just watching them at work made us have to try one (called "Bring me a Shrubbery!" -- how can you NOT try that?!). The staff was great and the owner was working just as hard as everyone else-shmoozing, clearing tables, bringing out food, helping the staff. It was a great atmosphere and night overall. Highly recommended.

Yelp
If you're in the downtown area the Lunch Special is my go to. Two items for $15 . A perfect combo of sandwich, soup, or salad. Had two drinks, and dessert. Beignets: perfect combo with a cup of coffee. 10 out of 10 Blood & Fire Drink: excellent mixed and not to much PoBoy: my favorite item - must try . Bread was perfect. I would just added a little extra sauce. Fish was flavorful Staff : friendly , engaging , recommended their favorite item , gave us back around information the restaurant. Also it's a bowling place so I'll be back . Perfect date idea Basket of Corn: 10 out of 10

Yelp
For my first visit to Wilma's I made a reservation for myself, my mom, and my godmother for the Mother's Day Brunch Buffet. It was suppose to be a way of showing my appreciation of them for raising me, but instead it was a decision I regret. I was looking forward to dining at Wilma's after all of the great reviews I read and seeing their brunch menu, but the buffet was a big mistake. After the food (which I'll get to shortly), the second biggest blunder was that it was not very organized. There wasn't enough down time between reservations. Our reservation was at 3pm, and when we arrived 5 minutes early we had to stand and wait for them to clear the dining area for anyone still remaining from a previous reservation. Either the times/reservations weren't staggered properly or they accepted too many reservations. When it was finally time to be seated, instead of calling parties in order of arrival, they decided to seat everyone depending on where they were standing - from left to right. After the host starting escorting parties, they soon found out that wasn't working well as people instead just approached the counter so they could be seated and more staff arrived to seat everyone. For $35/person I expect the food to be seasoned, and at the very least HOT. If you spoke to my mom, she'll tell you the only thing she liked was the crispy bacon and her hurricane drink. I on the other hand only thought the potatoes were edible. Among the whole buffet, the potatoes were the only food that was reasonably seasoned. The eggs were cold, both the chicken and the waffle were dry, the salmon wasn't seasoned at all, the gumbo was mostly liquid - very little meat, the carving station was ok, but we didn't go back for seconds, and the beignets were doughy. They also didn't serve any ice with the warm water provided at the tables. At the very least I had lovely company and a picture with my mom taken by a photographer at the restaurant for $10. Can't say the same about the food though.

Yelp
My guy and I decided to take a short visit to Delaware as we drove throughout the DMV area and surrounding states. Definitely wanted to see what food they had to offer as we were giving every state we visited a shot. This was the place that stood out the most of social media so we went for it. For what Wilmington offered I'd say it was a good choice. The vibe of the place itself was cool - nola inspired with bowling. Good for families, brunches, lunches, etc. Our server was nice. We didn't bowl because we wanted to be in & out, but while we waited on our food we played the arcade games they had on the side (just a couple). We ordered the nachos (pictured) for an appetizer which were pretty tasty with all the ingredients meshed. I would recommend more sauce but I am a sauce girl and when it comes to nachos I think every chip deserves some dip haha. Anyway... my guy ordered a burger for us to share which also came with fries. The burger was not good in my opinion. I had to put ketchup for me to bear it. Nice place overall.

Yelp
This restaurant is a must go to for brunch service is a-1 came here from Philadelphia and was worth the drive. very nice neighborhood restaurant it self was + nice the Pomegranate mimosa was awesome and a pitcher had us right. The cat fish and french toast was good but Baby the shrimp , chicken and grits OMG delicious... will go again one my faves for 2024

Yelp
Went for Restaurant Week Lunch Edition($15 2 courses) for our Sister's birthday on a Wednesday. The Space is what we coined Classic Chic. The décor is just fun. It is a very open airy setup. A Cozy Space. SO let's get in to it. Food & Drink. We had 3 choices; order from the regular full menu, Pick 2 combo lunch menu($15) & their RW lunch menu. We mixed it up with the pick 2 & RW. We had (RWL) French Onion(soup) CheeseSteak, Fried Oyster Po' Boy, (Pick 2) Gumbo, Fried Catfish Po' Boy & Fried Catfish Banh Mi. EVERYTHING was just delicious, so flavorful without being too much & all decent portions. The desserts were Great!! (RW)Grasshopper Ice Cream Pie, Banana Cream Tart,(Reg) Strawberry Shortcake & Beignets.... Fantastic!! The RW options were Specials & so worth it. Libations!! We were drinking Voodoo Daiquiris...just a good time & one is all you need, lol. Greeted by Jennifer & she was very kind & glad to see us. Our reservation was 11am, by 12pm it was a full house & they did not miss a beat. The service was a good time. Ali was our server & he was Amazing. Gave great recommendation & hustled. Montrel(??) was our bartender/Guy Friday & he was a vibe. There was 5 of us in our party & we had a gooood time. We will be back!! We gotta try Duck Bowling. #DemBruceGals

Yelp
We played duck pin bowling! It was so fun, but never got a strike & we're pretty good players. Anywho, the food was phenomenal. I was pleasantly surprised! We got the Mac & cheese, Cobb salad, and chicken sandwhich -- everything was so delicious! We will definitely be returning

Robin C.

Yelp
Stopped in for lunch with colleagues and was so so pleased! The staff was super friendly and attentive and quick to preemptively offer refills and extra napkins. But the lunch special really showed off. It's a very generous portion - the cajun cobb salad is amazing but the catfish po' boy was the star of the show. The bread was so so fresh, the catfish was fried perfectly, and the remoulade was stellar. Loved it so much we booked our holiday party there. It's posh, clean, and has bowling and arcade games - what more could you want!

Kim G.

Yelp
Surprisingly good if you need your southern food fix. Good comfort food. The atmosphere is exceedingly loud. If you're not super comfortable with that, and the weather is decent, they have outdoor seating, which is really nice. There is a small bowling alley inside. Great place to grab food before taking a show at the Rodney or the Grand.

S. E. C.

Yelp
We had a good first experience a couple of months ago BUT... went back last weekend. Staff People are great. Beignets are the BEST! Food is generally quite good but SERVING TIMES ARE SLOW! They need more help and a more a more attentive bar tender! We went for brunch after church and it took 45 minutes to get our food. There were 3 adults and 2 children to serve. It was crowded but not packed. Sadly, we won't be back

Chuck D.

Yelp
Great Alligator sliders, friendly staff. Mini bowling alleys looked fun! Not much competition in Wilmington, DE so i would definitely go back.

Kelly M.

Yelp
It was brunch time for the gals and we decided to take our chances and come here. It's really cute inside, the bowling alley is small but nice. Reservations are encouraged. We got lucky and a table opened up and they sat us right away. The NOLA style menu was nice. I ordered the fried catfish Benedict, it came with perfectly cooked fried potatoes and the frozen hurricane. The food was wonderfully seasoned, not greasy and the portions were nice. My friends ordered the frittata with seafood and veggies and they were please with their choice. We will be back to bowl and eat very soon.

Lana S.

Yelp
The place is so cute! We came in for Sunday brunch and was lead to our table. The dining/bar area is very aesthetically pleasing! I felt like I was at a brunch spot in DC or NYC :) We sat down and all order d the monkey gland cocktail based on our waitress recommendation. Glad we did because it was one of the best cocktails I've had in awhile! We got an order of beignets for the table. They were flakey on the outside and soft/chewy on the inside. We each ordered a different meal. I got the gater sausage eggs Benedict to try something new (never had gater before!) And it was pretty good! The Cajun hollidase sauce was everything! Potatoes were salty and crispy :) My friends enjoyed their standard breakfast and sweet potato hash too. We all left with happy full stomaches. Can't wait to come back for the other menus + bowling!

Brenda M.

Yelp
Excellent food and service. Reasonable prices. The chef is AMAZING!!! We tried the duck pin bowling as well and that was really fun!

Sandi T.

Yelp
Fabulous lunch. The fried calamari is to die for but make sure you get,the roasted tomato aioli that comes with the fried eggplant. That sauce is amazing. Drinks are excellent, desserts are amazing,we had peanut butter chocolate pie but next time I want the grasshopper pie. Highly recommend

Gloria U.

Yelp
I went to Wilma's for bowling and drinks. They have duckpin bowling which was fine. The drinks weren't that good. I sent my drink back and got a margarita instead which was fine. My friend had a drink and he didn't really like it. They had music playing when we first got there but after a little while they stopped playing music and it was just nothing but people talking and background noise...just weird. I've never been to a place where there is no music, no ambience. I don't think I'll be back.

Pia T.

Yelp
Had the shrimp and grits with a glass of beer, liking the food and ambiance very much, went in for a weekday lunch, a mini bowling alley & old school arcade available, so nice. Beignets were nice too, simple dessert. Service was great from the waitress and the lady hostess. Value for money on a weekday lunch, will come back again.

Jasmine S.

Yelp
A friend and I made reservations for Wilma for lunch at 3 and was surprised when we found out they closed at 3. (Hmmm..) We called and were told they would accommodate us if we still wanted to dine so we said we would. Upon entry, you are greeted by a grand hostess stand (probably the longest I've ever seen) and 5 duckpin bowling lanes behind it. Duckpin, in terms of bowling, i've learned means small.. and that's exactly what it was. Anyway..we were there to eat. And the dining area is beautiful ! You definitely won't feel like you're in Delaware. High ceilings and lots of light will make this place IG worthy. The menu is creole/cajun inspired with dishes like po' boys, gumbo, and shrimp and grits. We were told they only had brunch options, but since it was late afternoon we weren't feeling very brunch-y. Please note they are only open Wednesday to Sunday with Sunday being brunch only. I guess you could say we found out the hard way so you don't have to. I settled on the shrimp po' boy which is served with house made chips. The sandwich is small (I had 2 fried shrimp on each sandwich half) but good.. I just wish there was more of it! The chips were a little too cooked for me, not as light and airy as a good chip should be. My friend ordered the chicken and waffles with a side of fries. The fries again were cooked a little too much and the entree is actually just two tenders in the middle to two large waffle halves. I would've loved to have seen a big fried breast in the middle !! They also have a small dessert section which we were both sooo excited to see beignets ! Sadly they were out for the day. This place is fairly new so I can expect a few mishaps. They also advertise an arcade which was interesting to see. I would love to come back to experience dinner and bowling because this place has plenty potential.

Lilly B.

Yelp
Wilmas is a new spot on Market St. in Wilmington! It's adorable with a rustic bar filled with hanging greens. There is a grand winding staircase and of course their mini bowling alley! They have a great menu for both food and drinks. The Blood + Fire had habanero infused tequila and is was spicy spicy spicy! Lime chilled it out but be prepared when you order this hottie! The portella and smoked mozzerela salad was okay but nothing special. It needed more dressinh and wasn't visually appealing but there are much better things to order than a salad! The shrimp and grits were delicious!!!! They were topped with a Cajun cream sauce that was so good!!! The service was great and they seemed to be well staffed! I can't wait to come back!

Kimberly W.

Yelp
A perfect spot for a date night, a bar night, a game league night and a bowling game night. They have a bar section, a bowling section, a dining section, an upstairs section with comfy sofa for your Super Bowl nights and another upstairs section for small parties. The food is alright. Drinks are good. Bar staff are amazingly kind. Probably one of the better places in wilmington. Happy to have had the chance to visit. Tl;dr - comfy date night/bar night spot with bowling!

Nikki S.

Yelp
Was a fun date night! Played bowling for an hour and then had some snacks at the bar. Eggplant fries and the nachos were delicious and my fiance won't stop raving about the beignets. Service at the bar was great!

Chelsea J.

Yelp
(4.2) Wilma's offers a light hearted retro vibe with a Cajun flare. This form bank turned bowling alley is a must-try in the heart of Rodney Square. The restaurant offers reservations on Resy, with walk-in seating at the bar. Their website offers options to reserve one of their duckpin bowling lanes or one of their private gaming areas in their upper level. The food was pleasantly satisfying. Our table enjoyed: shrimp and grits, the catfish po'boy, Wilma burger and the Cajun Creole, corn bread, and beignets. Kelly P. Was our server. She was very attentive and personable with all of her tables. She made the the tiny delay that we experienced tolerable and saw to it that it was quickly resolved.

Raymond S.

Yelp
Great gumbo. Also had a French QuRter Creole a creole jambalaya type dish-incredible. Katelyn was our server and she was great. The attached bowling alley made things a bit noisy. All in all, Should I find myself in Wilmington again I will be back.

Chai D.

Yelp
This food was horrible and over priced.. I order the BBQ shrimp appetizer and those were the dirtiest shrimp I've ever seen on a plate. I bet into them and the shit from the intestinal track just oozed out.. so gross.. For an my entree, I had the catfish and rice.. which I believe was flounder or sole... bc it definitely wasn't catfish. Possibly a swaii fillet... I'll never go here again!! ... a total waste of money

Darrell S.

Yelp
A nice place with a beautiful ambiance, attentive service, and delicious food. I especially like to come here for brunch and I'm working my way through the menu.

Nancy L.

Yelp
Great food, Nice people. Vincent Valdivieso is a great server. Red beans and rice-yummy!

Yvonne M.

Yelp
I wish we had discovered Wilma's earlier in our trio to Wilmington! It was a thoroughly enjoyable exeperience. We had a light dinner--I loved the pistachio salad--with cocktails. The Sazerac was the best we've had outside of NoLa itself and the Aviation was a treat (it was a touch on the sour side but still refreshing). After dinner we had a blast duckpin bowling. If we'd gone in out first night in town, we would have gone every night! Don't miss Wilma's!

Lisa H.

Yelp
I loved this place! Went here with family for Su day Brunch! I'm mad I didn't get any pictures of the food, but here is what was ordered: - Andouille Sausage Gravy - delicious, came with eggs and potatoes - Crab Cake Benny (with extra hollandaise) - I asked for a little hard poached, but it came out boiled lol it's ok though, it was good though. It came with potatoes as well. - Chicken & Waffles (it's thigh meat) - waffle was great and the cognac maple syrup?!????! BOMB and the chicken was seasoned to perfection - Cheese Grits - wasn't bad at all, would've loved them a little creamier but had good flavor - Kids Fish sticks and fries/chips - chips were definitely homemade and great! The fries were seasoned and the fish?!??? DELISH! - Sweet Potato Hash - sweet and savory! For dessert, we tried all of them: - Banana Foster - the ice cream was very good, but the bananas were a little hard, they tasted like plantain instead of banana. - Beignets- Sooooo good!!!! - Bread Pudding - very good! I would go back some other items next time for sure! For dessert

Yelp
I highly recommend Wilma's, downtown Wilmington. The food is absolutely delicious and spot on. The ambience is great, and relaxing. Our Server Lacey was so kind and professional, and her knowledge of the menu is superb! Alex and Dawn are both so sweet and kind. The ribs and the shrimp and grits were mind blowing delicious! Give it a try if you haven't been there, and if you have been there, make sure to make this one of your weekly dinner spots!

Yelp
Good food and great service. We had a reservation for bowling to celebrate a birthday. Everyone was very accommodating for our group. Really nice space. Definitely recommend!

Yelp
Atmosphere is wonderful. We visited on a sunday morning for brunch and the high cielings and large windows provide a bright and open eating experience. Everytrhing We had was amazing from the food to the drinks. I tried the Monkey Gland and I believe I walked away with a new take on GIN. I will be coming back to try more items as well as experience the bowling that is offered. CHECK OUT ALL THEY OFFER INCLUDING BOWLING. https://www.goodtimewilmas.com/ IG: @the_jonaphant

Yelp
Super cute new spot in Wilmington! We made a reservation to dine first before bowling and we're seated immediately. The atmosphere is perfect for a small group outing or double date. Keep in mind the bowling is smaller handball style bowling. Our table ordered the cornbread (super moist and buttery, so good!), the roasted chicken with Mac & cheese and the shrimp & grits. The chicken had a strong smoky flavor and was served with buttery mashed potatoes. My friend really enjoyed the shrimp & grits entree. The drink were STRONG but delicious. The decor around the bar is super cute and there's a staircase in the back for a photo opp. There's also a small arcade with a couple of games for after dinner

Yelp
The food here is good - very competent, especially for downtown Wilmington. It's a cajun version of pub food - tasty, probably not best to eat every day, worth the price. They are clearly aiming to amp it up with the ambiance - quirky decor, a bowling alley, and our waiter had a moustache that I'd previously seen only on cartoon characters. Not a complaint: I care about service, and this dude was on point. The question is whether I would come here on the weekends...probably not. For lunch during or just after work, yes...but walking past the wig and pawn shops on Market street to get to here from the parking garage? I'd probably hit up the Riverfront instead.

Yelp
We have lived in this area for almost a year and have only now tried Wilma's. If it weren't for my wife craving shrimp and grits, we might have missed the opportunity to see this gem in downtown Wilmington. This place has a bar, four mini bowling alleys, a couple pinball machines, and some delicious creole food. I was told the food could be a hit or a miss, I'm glad that when tried it was a hit! If you crave Cajun/creole in Delaware, I recommend Wilma's!

Yelp
Upon entering the restaurant you see the Duckpin Bowling alley behind the checkin/hostess station. The bar to the right then tables. This place has New Orlean style cuisine for menu items but it is far from it!! I was utterly disappointed by the cuisine! This was my choice for my birthday brunch. The waitress was pleasant & knowledgeable of the menu but we asked her if the French bread on the Shrimp Po'boy was soft or hard. She it was toasted we requested for my mother to not toast the bread. When the order came, the bread was hard & shrimp was overcooked!! My sister ordered the Crab Cake Benny. The English muffins were burnt & the crab cake was bland. I mean zero seasoning! Dead! I ordered the Kale Apple Salad with a vinaigrette. It was horrible! The kale was bitter & cabbage was hard & thick literally unchewable! There was no urgency in trying to accommodate nor did he offer to make it right! Then he said he would talk to the chef left and didn't come back. I had just taken my insulin before the meal arrived and was only able to eat the crab cake therefore I had to go somewhere else to eat because I didn't eat enough to cover the amount of insulin I took. I recommend you think twice before choosing Wilma's!!!

Yelp
Came in on an early Saturday afternoon to get out of the house and support local business. Food & Drinks: 5.5/10 - Alligator Sausage sliders: these were pretty good. There was no actual slaw? The bread was amazing. - Smoked Oysters: not great. - Cajun BBQ Shrimp: flavor was extremely fishy and the eating experience wasn't good since they were served with full head and shell and sauce. - Gumbo: the best thing we had. The rice was a bit undercooked though. Flavors were there. - Mahi Po' Boy: the saving grace was the bread, again. The fish had no flavor and there was way too much Mayo on this. - Beignets: def undercooked inside. - Hurricane drink: pretty good - Blood and Fire drink: this was SPICY. Like heart-burn inducing spicy. Not good. Duck Bowling: 8/10 - it's a pretty cool set up and an hour def gets you a lot of play when you're just 2 people. It's def a different skill set than regular bowling. Customer Service: 10/10 - the staff was attentive and tried to make things right. They were fantastic, even with struggling staff shortages. I would return, but if someone else suggests it.

Yelp
We were attending an event at the YMCA and decided to walk over for lunch. Unfortunately we didn't have a reservation, but they did have two seats available at the bar. Small, but airy feel. Friendly service and a delicious lunch! I will definitely return to try more dishes and try a cocktail next time. We also hope to return for the duck bowling too. Reservations a must.

Yelp
I've been here for brunch a few times. 2 of the 3 experiences were good. I've also had a hour here. Happy hour was great. The drinks were good and they have good apps. Now they aren't the most shareable but good portions and tasty. For example, it's kind of hard to share gumbo. On the breakfast side, I do like their chicken and waffles. The shrimp and grits are good too. My most recent brunch trip wasn't good. The food and coffee were served cold, the service was poor, they ran out of chicken and they brought us the wrong check. Now every restaurant can have a bad day. Out of my 4 visits this was the only bad one. It was really bad though. Also, I hyped the place up to the group that I took there so I felt bad.
