Forîn - Review - Philadelphia - The Infatuation

"Wim Cafe has become Forîn. It’s the third location for the spot known for casual all-day cafes. But instead of swapping the menu completely, they’re keeping Wim’s Indonesian twists. Expect curry tofu baguettes, ube sugar cookies, banana chai, and warming mocha matchas at the South Street restaurant. We haven’t been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists." - Candis R. Yowie Hotel Just Opened in Philadelphia

"Situated on the hotel’s ground floor, this café is a collaborative venture with Philadelphia brands Eeva bakery and ReAnimator coffee, providing a roomier complement to the original boutique’s retail space and functioning as an integrated neighborhood amenity within the property." - Regan Stephens Regan Stephens Regan Stephens is an award-winning freelance writer living in Philadelphia. Got a breakfast sandwich, the Frankfort, a hot latte, and an iced vanilla latte. The sandwiches are pre wrapped which makes sense because there’s no kitchen BUT they’re not worth $9. There’s really no flavor, the bread tastes like cheap burger buns, and the add ons don’t help. The latte was okay as well - the coffee is just lacking flavor. The vanilla latte was good, just a little too sweet for me. I loved that the cafe is attached to the store (which you should absolutely visit) but the decor isn’t very cozy. It’s minimalist without really hitting that mark in my opinion. It seems like a great place to work from though! The tables are big, there’s a lot of space, and outlets spread around. The staff is incredible friendly.

Stopped in for a cortado and to see what specials they had. I had to get the pumpkin spice latte, sorry. Both drinks were good and the person working the register was super friendly and helpful in me picking out a coffee bag to go.

I loved this place in Kensington and I’m so happy to see the expansion! Breakfast sandwiches are delicious and the Ube latte is always my favorite. The owner has made this place super stylish. My one critique is that the Kensington location is more dialed in with decor and vibe, but the window seating is really nice to look out in south street. Would definitely recommend for a quick bite and coffee or relaxing place to get some work done.

Google
Happy to report that this place does a good matcha !! I’ve had a lot of matcha in my day and have been consistently disappointed at other well rated cafes near me (why are the matchas in this city presweetened sometimes ??). This one was smooth and the flavor was fresh. Also shoutout to the nice barista and plenty of working space.

The employees are very friendly. I come almost three days a week. Their coffee is very high quality. The place is always very clean. A very nice cafe to sit down and spend time with my friend or on your own.

Google
Super cute cafe. I had the iced strawberry chai latte which was unique and delicious as well as a granola parfait. Will definitely be coming back

Google
It's a very cute place and the baristas are chill but their chai latte taste more like milk than anything else and they don't have caramel :( it's definitely a cute place to come get some work done and grab a coffee but it's not the best place in the area.

Yelp
Yowie is a great new addition to South Street! The inside is beautiful-very simple and very open. There is indoor and outdoor seating and would be a good place to work or meet up with a friend to chat. My iced chai latte was literally ready in a minute or two-no wait at all. They have some seasonal drinks-definitely want to come back to try the strawberry matcha lemonade. I didn't order and food, but they have a few sandwich/meal options plus some pastries and snacks. Prices seem on par with other cafes in the city.

Yelp
Very cute spot for coffee. A solid place to WFH. I love that it's connected to a little artsy shop. The iced chai was great. The smoked salmon toast was good too. I would've liked the bread to be toasted a bit more, but if you like a fluffy toast, this would be for you! The service was great too. They were friendly and quick.

Yelp
Creative seasonal drinks. Chill vibe - not hectic. Dog-friendly indoors. Good place to WFH.
