Phenomenal food. People aren't kidding about trying the French onion soup, it is great. My boyfriend absolutely loved it. I think I would prefer if the cheese were gooey. I had the bisque soup and loved it. Main courses were the aji tuna poke bowl (special of the day) and a burger. We loved our meals. Dessert was meh (peanut butter cheesecake and carrot cake). Service was great. We reserved online, and when we got there our table was ready and we were seated promptly. The server was friendly, knowledgeable and checked on us every now and then. I would come back. We would skip dessert next time (although you don't need it after the meal... We were full, but we wanted to try the whole experience of the restaurant). The only downside to this restaurant is how SMALL it is. Definitely get a reservation, it gets busy. And be prepared to be seated a foot away from another table. Oh, and the drink was way better than I expected (apple pie mule); it was refreshing and not overly sweet.

Great atmosphere, service and food. Have the house made sangria (red)-very tasty. We enjoyed the Halibut and Chicken Alfredo, both were fabulous.

Love the decor, atmosphere and of course the food! This restaurant is located in Kenosha, Wisconsin in a charming area near the lake. The food was delicious.

Our service was absolutely incredible! The waitress was such a sweetheart and all of the staff worked collaboratively to make sure plates were cleaned and glasses were filled without any prompting even on a busy Friday evening. Each dish was deeply satisfying and our entrees were well-flavored and tender. If they have the French Onion soup special it's worth getting!

One word…. DELICIOUS!!! We went to Wine Knot with some friends of ours. My wife and I had been to Wine Knot a number of times. As a matter of fact it was where we had our first date. Our friend had never been there. We made reservations… highly recommended to do that. It was a Friday night and pretty crowded. We had a great table. The service was incredible. We had the BEST waitress ever! Very attentive, fast, and friendly. Our food was delicious. I believe we ordered way too much, but we didn’t care. Deviled Eggs and Spinach Artichoke Dip for appetizers. French Onion Soup and Wedge Salad for the second course. Our entrees were Grouper with tater tots (one of the specials), a Cheeseburger, and Pot Roast. Everything was perfect. We were way too full to eat any dessert. We highly recommend Wine Knot Bar and Bistro!

Excellent place to eat! The bartenders know how to mix a awesome drink! The food is superb, the Brussel sprouts appetizer is the best ! Relaxing and chill atmosphere . It has become our local hot spot!!

Google
What a disappointment. The lazy bartender with the beard ignored our drink order for 10 minutes while he chatted up the sole patron at the bar the whole time. Even the server who was nice was not good. She never came back and asked us how our meal was but sure was quick to take the payment for our meal. We've been here 10+ times and brought friends in for their first time. Portions were smaller, food wasn't as good, service was terrible. Our friends kept asking if it was always this bad, we said no, it's usually fantastic. There were maybe 5 tables that were occupied. Again, what a disappointment.

Google
Our server James was so attentive and pleasant. The food was AMAZING!! Salmon was the best I've ever had. Brussel sprouts with feta was perfectly cooked. The cherry 75 was tasty as well.

Yelp
August 2025: I made a 5:30PM reservation for 4 on a Wednesday at Wine Knot in Kenosha. We started our dinner off with Pinot Noir and Manhattans. I like the vibe in Wine Knot- beautiful bar, moody, friendly and patient staff. For dinner we ordered the Halibut, Pork Chop, and Salmon. I enjoyed the halibut, it was tender, moist, and not overly seasoned. I liked the cream sauce on top with the fried capers and the white cheddar chive mashed potatoes with asparagus went well with it! The dish had a great profile of flavors. We were too full for dessert but we all enjoyed our dinners and the drinks and look forward to dining at Wine Knot again!

Yelp
Highlights 1) Friendly Service 2) Nice Ambiance 3) Diverse Menu Stopped in with a friend recently and really liked this spot! There is a good size wine selection and you can even do fights. We found the pours to be generous! Vibe is really cute. We ate the bar which had full food service. The bartender was friendly and we got our drinks and then appetizers promptly. We did the Brussel sprouts, lamb, and spinach dip. Loved the appetizers! The lamb was lacking a little flavor for me but overall good! If you are in Kenosha this is definitely worth a stop!

Yelp
The food here is fabulous! The halibut was wonderful. Very large portion. Next will split for sure

Yelp
We stopped in for a night cap so no food review on this one although the dishes I've had here were nicely prepared and delicious. Wine knot is always such a special place for us. The service is always good and very attentive. Our bartender was super friendly and would carry nice conversation with us while we enjoyed our drinks. The bar is a nice place to sit and enjoy time together. The entire environment is always quaint.

Yelp
First time visit and it was very easy to find with plenty of street parking. Once inside the restaurant has a really cool vibe, nicely decorated with a partially exposed kitchen, a rather large bar (always a plus), and plenty of booths and tables. We had a reservation and were promptly seated at our prepared table for six. Our server was quick to respond taking our drink orders from a menu that includes numerous wines, wine flights and a couple of craft cocktails. The menu offered steaks, seafood dishes, and several other options. I went with the halibut which was mention other reviews, and couldn't have been more pleased. A nice sized piece with a delightful sauce that has a ting of lemon, tasty capers on top, garlic mashed potatoes, and asparagus that was well prepared. Highly recommended and we will be back.

Yelp
First of all, I can shoot myself for not coming here before this day. Sorry I never looked up whether they served food. My experience today was tremendous. The greeter was very nice when I walked in on this Wednesday night. Gave me a choice to sit, but I recommend everyone to make reservations because she asked me. Within 5 min, my waitress Kaela; who I might say was outstanding overall, took my drink order and even asked the bartender of a recommended wine for me. Well they didn't disappoint, even though it was a sparking wine. Light is what I wanted today. I ordered the Butter Chicken appetizer, and man it was good. More than enough to be a meal, all by itself. It's not spicy and it's served with the biggest piece of Naan I've ever seen and was rolled up. Good Lord, this dish was good. I don't know why but, but I ordered the burger. It was cooked perfectly in accordance to my request. Do not, I repeat, do not put any condiments on your burger until you take your first bite. You will miss out on the goodness of the aioli. It was a very tasty thick burger served with hot seasoned steak fries. I had the Carmel coffee cake; which is served warm. Simple mini bunt cake. Delish it was. Atmosphere....very quaint and very nice. I love it. Older clientele, for the most part; from the time I was here 40s plus. Music is not blasting here, so you don't have to worry about having an intimate time together. Played very low. They have 2 tvs. The bar is L-shaped with about 17 seats. The kitchen is also viewable from the dining area. If you're a foodie, you will love this place. You want to impress your lady or man, you will love this place. Girls night out, absolutely. Outstanding job Wine Knot, you're now my Kenosha favorite. So I will be back. Halibut will be next. Lol P.S. A special thank you to Kaela, your prompt service and politeness was outstanding. I did like that other staff members were busy the entire time during my visit.

Yelp
I have wanted to try this place for awhile now and decided to go last night. I booked a reservation for the heated patio area at 6:45 pm. If anyone is afraid of being cold don't be, they keep it at a very comfortable temperature! The reason for the rating is the following: first off the door to get into the heated patio is obnoxious. We were the table closest to the door so every time the waitress came in and out or someone was being seated or a table was being cleaned, that door was constantly opening and slamming. Very hard to have a conversation when that is constantly slamming. #2 reason the low rating: if my dinner for 2 people is over $100 I better be getting more than 3 or 4 pieces of asparagus with my meal. I better be getting soup or salad with my meal as well. I ordered the halibut which was delicious but the size of mashed potatoes and asparagus left me wondering what I was going to eat for a midnight snack. My halibut being $37 should come with a soup or a salad if you are going to give me a gold sized ball of mashed potatoes and 4 pieces of asparagus. My husband said his meal was okay but again he also complained of the meal size.

Yelp
Love. Love, love Wine Knot. I eat here frequently with my daughter. The ambiance in the restaurant is excellent and the food is always delicious. My one complaint is that the menu lacks vegetarian choices. Last time I went, I ordered an impossible burger that was just ordinary. It didn't seem to live up to the rest of the entrees on the menu. The reservation booking on their website is convenient and the location is great for outdoor seating in the summer. I highly reccomend the spinach and artichoke dip. It's amazing.

Yelp
Went for dinner with some friends. It was a small cool ambiance. I sat at the bar and the bartenders were so attentive. I'm a huge fan of old fashions and I asked them to be creative with mine and do something different. They did not disappoint. I ordered the pork and omg was it delicious. I'm not a huge fan since it's always dry in other places but my friends suggested it. It was super juicy and tender, so much flavor ! Definitely coming back.

Yelp
Went here for a date last night. The restaurant had a few non alcoholic beer options for my husband who does not drink and I had 2 nicely crafted dirty martinis with blue cheese olives. We got the brussel sprouts for an appetizer, they were delicious! Our server was attentive and very sweet. Our entrees were both super tasty, we got the barramundi over lobster risotto and the duck coconut curry. We will be back soon!

Yelp
This used to be my favorite place to go in Kenosha. Unfortunately my last experience there was less than Panera/ hospital food quality. Our appetizers, deviled eggs, were just terrible. They were over cooked and rubbery and the flavor was unpalatable. These were sent back and the owner wanted to fight with us about it rather than conducting himself in a professional manner. The rest of the experience went even further downhill from there. Everything was sent back for various egregious culinary fails. The night was ended with drive through food and wine I already owned.

Yelp
I used to love this place. The ambiance was always nice and the food amazing. Always ordered the filet mignon and the flight of wine. I took my family to celebrate this past May 10th and was very disappointed and embarrassed by their food. I had my family come from out of town and was super excited for them to try Wine Knot. Sadly, it was a big disappointment. Our filet mignons were decent but lack flavor and the texture was awful. Nothing like before, were it used to melt in your mouth. The flight of wines went up in price tremendously. The service was great but would definitely not go back for a long time.

Peter B.

Yelp
In a word - disappointing. Drinks were 4-5. Nice wine and beer choices. Service was a 5, friendly and prompt. Food - 2. Poorly seasoned foods. We stopped in last sat night without a reservation. No tables but openings at the bar. Friendly and attentive bar tender and staff. Now for the bad part. My wife ordered the pot roast. Beef was tasty, moist and tender but the side of veggies was very over salted. I had the coconut duck curry which sounded very interesting. It had no discernible curry flavor but was very hot with extreme red peppers. Should have sent it back. Tasted like a less than amateur attempt at curry seasoning. Sorry to say this because the ambience, drinks and service were great, but its doubtful we will dine there again anytime soon.

Yelp
Extremely disappointed. I understand the menu on the website not being updated slipping through the cracks. I would totally expect slow service if the place is packed. 8pm on a Friday night, it was not. Multiple servers. Only the booths were full. One party we saw sitting outside. One other table, but they were finished and just finishing drinks off and left. The bar 2/3rds full. We were on time for our reservation for two. We sat, alone, not even acknowledged by anyone other than the hostess when she seated us.....for 20 minutes. We are willing to excuse a lot these days. Not even having someone stop by to let us know they would be with us as soon as they could for 20mins, in a not pack restaurant, with servers visible standing around at the end of the bar? That's just bad. We will not be back. Such a shame too, it was such a nice place.

Yelp
Tried this place out for the first time last weekend. When it first opened there was a lot of hype surrounding it. I have to be honest, I'm not sure what the hype was BUT my meal was very good. I got the New York strip and it was cooked perfectly. The asparagus and mashed potatoes on the side were also very yummy. The service was very good as well as the drinks. This was an all around good restaurant experience and I will definitely be back for ladies night or a date night!

Yelp
Friendly Staff, and Food is always consistently good. Would definitely recommend to try.

Yelp
My goodness, I am absolutely in awe of this place. I am from Scottsdale, AZ which has some of the best restaurants in the US, and this place is right on par with the best of them. The ambiance is quaint and and modern, wonderful place for a date night. The service was wonderful too, very knowledgeable staff who know their dishes. The food was astonishing. We began with a Caesar salad and typically that's not something I'll leave in a review, but it has to be mentioned. The dressing is perfect, the croutons were fantastic, just a peak at what was to come. My wife ordered the salmon with shrimp fried rice and it was such a generous portion, and so delicious!! I was between the duck and the braised short ribs and ended up getting the short rib, my goodness!! So tender it melts in your mouth. 10/10, we will definitely be back. Hands down my favorite restaurant in Wisconsin!

Yelp
'  4 minutes ago This used to be a great place but not anymore. I don't know of management changed or what but they have gone down hill fast, Just went to dinner there and wanted to order the halibut but don't eat mash potatos so I asked for the rice which I have done before several times. I was told by the waitress that they can't do that and I respoponded that they have done that several times before and the rice was offered on a less expensive dish. She came back and said the rice would be a $7.00 surcharge. Now since the rice was offered on a less expensive dish and it must be available, I can't understand the excessive surcharge. I guess any business can do whatever they want but they just lost a loyal customer and I will let everyone at the marina know about this. I wasn't asking for something that was special or not available just something that they had already offered. So for the manager, you just lost hundreds of dollars in business for $7.00. Great decision.

Yelp
Wine Knot is by far one of the best restaurants I've eaten at in Kenosha. From their wine selection and signature weekly cocktails to their diverse and delicious menu, you cannot go wrong with anything you choose. The halibut is by far one of the best things I've eaten hear along with their filet and lamb chops. For appetizer don't forget to order their French onion dip. It comes with their homemade chips! You do not want to miss this place.

Walter S.

Yelp
I mean, for Kenosha Wisconsin you should give them props for trying. For really trying to bring this city up, no, close them down... Changing your menu is great, but you never take staples off you just add what works. As for the sous vide meat, it doesn't work. It probably saves your kitchen staff from some unwanted embarrassment but it's tough and void of taste. Except for the little bit of sauce you put on top I guess. Oh, and by the way, my rare steak order came out medium at best. The mashed potatoes taste like they came from my welfare friend down the street, growing up,who had to get powdered shit all the time. My suggestion is take the awesome staff that you have, go behind closed doors for a day and work out the plan that's going to carry the neighborhood with fantastic food. Right now it's just not there and it's hit or miss. Saving grace BTW, the duck was fantastic. From an it that knows duck...

Yelp
This is has been one of my few go to places in Kenosha. The food is consistently good. My favorite dishes are the hamburger and the meatloaf. The chipotle Mayo is outstanding. The servers are wonderful. I love sitting outside except for the noise from the loud motorcycles and cars that cruise downtown.

Yelp
I love the atmosphere of Wine Knot! The food is good, we have never been disappointed, and the staff is great! I recommend it!

Yelp
First off..... It's an up charge to substitute items on the menu??? If you are going to be that pretentious about your food, it should be the best meal ever served. Not the case.... I don't think the chef even owns a box of kosher salt in his kitchen, let alone prepare his food with any respect for the ingredients. The food in this place is an absolute travesty. Under seasoned, over cooked, and presented like a 1st year culinary student. Such a shame for a restaurant with one of the best wine lists in the state. Go for the wine, but go somewhere else for dinner before.

April F.

Yelp
Always excellent food and service- the steak is one of the best in town- perfectly prepared every time and the bartenders are always friendly and fast. One of my favorite places downtown

Yelp
First off, the outdoor COVID-proof huts! Second, Uber friendly front of house! Third, amazing chef!! But... hands down, the best part of this entire experience is Cam! Cam, how to explain the experience of Cam? He is - in a word - FAB. U. LOUS!! We almost ( just almost ) wish we lived here!!! Every trip to Kenosha will include Wine Knot.

Kathryn Y.

Yelp
A wine bar with no cheese and no bread. If you go there know that Wine Knot is seriously carb-challenged, don't know if they're going for the "paleo" thing or what the deal is. There is also no pasta to be found on the menu. In fact the limited menu is extremely meat-heavy, mostly of the red variety, so there is nothing here for a vegetarian and not much for a pescatarian. It's also not a good value for the food you get. With a $34 entree I expect at least a small house salad, even if the restaurant doesn't offer bread (I was told they stopped during the pandemic; not sure what bread has to do with that but in any case the pandemic ended two years ago), and also to feel full after a meal, which I didn't. My fish entree had great flavor and texture, but came with a stingy portion of asparagus. In all, one glass of wine, no appetizer, one entree and one dessert cost way too much to leave feeling slightly hungry. I've been here twice and service is hit-or-miss depending on how busy they are. Won't be coming back unless it's just for drinks and a shared appetizer before dinner somewhere else.
google avatar

Alexa P.

Yelp
Great downtown restaurant with delicious food. I would highly recommend the lobster and shrimp tostada, it also came with a side of street corn. Thee best entree hands down. The server was very nice but was a little slow- it was a Friday night so I took that into consideration. Perfect for date night!!

Yelp
Cute place and good food!! We had the most delicious spinach and artichoke dip - homemade pita chips!! Nice wine selection plus other cocktails.

Yelp
One of the original nicER restaurants that started the revitalization of downtown Kenosha. I can't remember the year it started out but it used to be one of only a few good places downtown you could go for a classy dinner/romantic date. I still really like the place however it has certainly dropped back a step or two on classy for Kenosha; it's now more of a comfortable local hang out with a lot of regulars (patrons and staff included). They don't take reservations, first come first serve. The current Covid restrictions lessened the interior seating options but they adapted with adding some more outdoor tables, something I really enjoy on a warmer summer evening when downtown is crowded with people walking about. The food is good, I can't ever remember not enjoying a meal here. It's also a real nice spot to just stop in for drinks. There are always a handful of signature cocktails plus a decent offering of higher end spirits, and of course wine, although, for being a "wine" place, their selections isn't as extensive as one might expect, still good for me though.
google avatar

Summer M.

Yelp
Such a great spot in Downtown Kenosha! This restaurant is located on a popular strip, with so much to do within the few blocks around you. This is a great spot to meet a friend (or a group of friends) for dinner! The outdoor seating is so nice when the weather is right, with a great sunset view over downtown. Good selection of drinks, delicious menu, and great staff. Can't wait to go back! Side note: I'm pretty sure anything you get on the menu is going to be fabulous. I haven't had one thing that I don't like yet!

Yelp
The next time you venture to Kenosha, Wisconsin for any reason (college town, lake, outlet malls, etc) and need some food, Wine Knot is a very good option. My reason for being in southern Wisconsin was for Carthage College Men's soccer, and Erica, Erica's mom and I needed some food before braving the chilly 40s degree night last Wednesday. The Baker women have had trouble finding satisfactory dining choices, which only added to our enjoyable meal. As the name implies, Wine Knot is a small but fun atmosphere wine bar and patio in downtown Kenosha. There is a long bar, two large communal wooden high top tables, and individual tables along the wall. There's fun posters and signage, plus a few TVs to catch whatever game is playing. The menu is simple and to the point, exactly what a down-to-earth wine bar should offer. The wine and beer list looked extensive, though we didn't take time to explore it at length. Our meal was tasty with no surprises, middle of the road Midwestern food. We started with fish tacos, possibly the best dish of the meal, and seasoned parmesan russet fries with chipotle aioli. After tasting some good starters, I was slightly dissapointed with the main courses. I ordered Sweet and Spicy Chicken with Soba Noodles and Seasonal Vegetables. The dish was quite simple and relatively bland. Everything looked replicable at home without much work. The chicken was neither sweet nor spicy, and the vegetables added little. Erica did not love her ahi tuna and garlic noodles, preferring to eat all the noodles and some tuna. The food wasn't bad, just nothing special. I recommend choosing simple American dishes such as a burger. There is a nice and fun vibe to Wine Knot and it's a good place to grab a drink and a snack. I'm certain the patio in the summer is a great place to spend time and enjoy the breeze from Lake Michigan. The main entrees are well prepared and simple, but what more do you need from a wine bar in Kenosha? I have only enjoyed one meal in Kenosha but from what the Baker women said, this is one of the better options.

Yelp
Perhaps I'm just spoiled by the amazing food found in and around Milwaukee, but I thought this restaurant did not live up to the hype. The drinks were not good and definitely not signature. I don't recall the name of the drink but it was made with gin. It was basically a gin and tonic with mint (which had seen better days) served in a tiny French press. It tasted like straight gin. For dinner my friend and I shared Pork Short Ribs and Pressed Boneless Half Chicken. The Ribs were ok; made with a mustard that was cheap tasting. I imagine it came from a large restaurant quantity mustard bucket. Neither of us ate the accompanying beans- yuck. The chicken would have been good if they would not have over-salted it. I suspect someone forgot to salt before cooking and thought they'd just add the salt before serving. The mashed potatoes were good, but really how do you mess up potatoes?! We were seated right away (5:30 on a Saturday) and chose to sit at the bar because we like the busyness of the bar. The restaurant filled quickly after we arrived. They really needed another person behind the bar and because of it we waited a long time to put orders in. The restaurant itself is cute but not big. There's plenty of outside dining for warm weather. Overall, an ok experience. I would not return for more than a glass of wine.

Yelp
They are a lovely dinner and drinks place to experience. Nice food and ambiance. A little pricey.

Yelp
Giving Wine Knot 4 stars because the food is awesome - 5 star worthy. The calamari, salads, fries, meatloaf, steak have all been stellar. Very impressed - they also have personable staff. The reason for 4 stars is that the wine knot title is not perfect. The wine selection is mostly the 8 dollar standards you can find at the local grocery store. Also many times I've asked for a certain kind of wine I have been a bit astray (in my opinion) even though they are very nice. I wish they had new wines I could try that I could try instead of the ones I grab at the grocery on a weekday.

Yelp
Great place had dinner here last week during restaurant week Kenosha. This place knows how to serve up a selection of great items for an enjoyable meal. Started with tempora shrimp guest had house Cable. Next strip steak garlic mashed she had salmon tutors. We finished with Chocolate martinis could have had creme de but we're in the drinking mood. $30 price fix great deal. Mike Steinberger Lake Forest IL.

Yelp
Love coming to Wine Knot whenever we are in Kenosha! Great food, super service in a convenient location!
google avatar

Viv M.

Yelp
I feel like this little spot over promised and under delivered. Pros: cute patio, boyfriend loved the pork chop, toddler loved the pizza (said it was better than Chicago's!). Cons: the halibut- skip it, it's terrible!!The mojito is confused and rather flavorless, served in a French press that leaks (it's a Cuban drink, isn't it??). Everything is way overpriced!
google avatar

Luigi G.

Yelp
Only experienced this place once. Food was fair, nothing stood out. If you're a wine drinker, you will enjoy the experience. There were little non alcoholic options outside soda or tap water. The dining area is a bit cramped. Hard to judge the service as they were busy so saw very little of them.
google avatar

Dylan M.

Yelp
Dam are the prices high for their mediocre wine list. 9ounce poor of Mieomi was $21. Lol a bottle of that stuff is generally $16-19. And the service at the bar is just non-existent unless you are buddies with him. I wandered up to the service bar and it took forever to get a drink then sat at the the bar for a good 30 minutes and the other bartender ignored us the entire time and the other 3 people who were trying to get his attention to order. I can't speak for the food as we ended up leaving with the lack of service but portions look huge but alway not all that appetizing.

Yelp
Want to impress your girl? Take her here. Feels super swanky for Kenosha. Want to save money? See if they are offering a deal on Groupon. Your welcome :)

Yelp
Amazing little restaurant in a small town trying to step up. Great wine selections!!! Well priced food with good portions. I had the pork chop- perfectly cooked to a medium-well temperature and well seasoned. I am looking forward to my next business trip to the area to sample another menu item!

Yelp
Come for the outstanding selection of wine--stay for the creamy mushroom soup and glazed brussel sprouts! So thankful to have this gem in downtown Kenosha! I only wish they were open for lunch occasionally.

Yelp
Favorite resturant! Great food, great beverage and great service! I can not say enough about this place other than LOVE IT!!!

Yelp
COVID restrictions and social distancing was evident, I felt very safe. Food was excellent, it is on the pricier side, maybe a little too much considering the market, but they seemed busy enough, so maybe I'm wrong. Service was excellent.
