Wine bar & market with diverse wines, small plates & retail

"Following the success of Wineaux’s first location at shopping and dining development Uncommons, James Beard Award winner Shawn McClain and master sommelier Nick Hetzel have brought the wine bar to the JW Marriott in Summerlin. The second Wineaux location is now open in Summerlin, with an extensive menu of bottles, wines by the glass, and a tight menu of snacks, including caviar service, charcuterie boards, and hummus or roasted eggplant spread. The bar also offers guided wine tastings." - Ryan Slattery

"As Uncommons’ resident wine bar, Wineaux is a journey through a wide variety of world terroirs. The bright and airy space houses both dining and retail areas, with cheese and charcuterie essentials available to take home — along with wine bottles, of course. Stop in for happy hour deals like hamachi and caviar or housemade popcorn, spritzes, and 25 percent off wine bottles in-store. Or reserve the Tasting Table for a group outing with beverage packages including wine and beer selections." - Jennifer Smith

"One of the city's newer wine bars adds guided wine tastings and a surprising food menu; while the wine tastings explore three bottles — usually unified by a shared location of origin — the writer prefers to order a glass at a time. A recent visit called for a glass of sauvignon blanc paired with an appetizer of hamachi and caviar: served atop a bowl of ice to keep it chill, a bowl of hamachi crudo is combined with salty caviar, creamy avocado, a smear of onion creme frache, and fragrant lime zest — all ideal for spreading on narrow crusts of focaccia. That glass of wine was good enough to prompt purchasing a bottle on the way out the door. — Janna Karel, Eater Vegas Editor" - Janna Karel

"Melinda Sheckells wrote, "love a local wine bar" and observed that "we have far too few of them for the amount of wine talent we have in this city." - Janna Karel
