"Need an ultra-luxurious gift for that oenophile who has everything? A membership at this West End’s wine-vault-slash-bar would be a real treat. Winelair offers fancy personal wine lockers, access to a team of staff sommeliers, and many more perks. A big new draw is the addition of D.C. chefs and Anju founders Scott Drewno and Danny Lee at the helm in the kitchen." - Adele Chapin

Stopped by the other night with a friend who is a member. Had a lovely time with great drinks and great atmosphere. Environment This is a private wine club located next to the Ritz Carlton. The description is in the name - a lair - it definitely gives those vibes but beautifully executed. A very chill modern vibe. There's a huge space for members to store their wine and alcohol so the temperature is always pretty chilly in the space - to help with this they have a fire place near the front of the area to keep you nicely warm and comfy. Overall it's a beautiful space, a beautiful bar and beautiful seating areas all around. Service The service was great. It was a Monday night so there wasn't a ton of people there - our service was attentive and made sure we had all we need. As a member you grow to learn the staff and the atmosphere is every warm and welcoming and familiar which is nice. My colleagues meals did take a while to come out but they were very accommodating and helpful during this time. Food and drinks The old fashions were made very well. I will definitely come back to try other drinks and some of their wine options. I also had a side of fries which were tasty. My friends had the steak and wings with they both enjoyed. Overall Great beautiful space, with good food and really good old fashions. The space is just lovely and the privacy and care of service is a great touch. I will definitely be back to try other items off the drink and food menus.

I have been a member for almost three years with no regrets. I have learned much about wine from other members and the monthly presentations organized by wineLAIR. The staff is very courteous and helpful, and there are plenty of opportunities to socialize and bring guests. Lastly, the wine lockers are professionally temperature- and humidity-controlled.

Yelp
Winelair is a private wine club where members pay $300/month (and a hefty joining fee) to savor wines and spirits. It is located next to The Ritza Carlton. They have locations all over the world. I don't expect to see other reviews. They don't need advertising. Members can store wines and liquors inside lockers. I asked what was the most expensive wine inside. The employee said that it was probably "thousands" of dollars. The cheapest wine was from Trader Joe's. There is a well stocked bar, private booths and comfy sitting areas throughout the club. The locker area has shawls for members since the room is kept at a cool temperature for all the booze and wine. I was happy having the chance to feel at home for an afternoon. Guests are offered sparkling water or sparkling wine as soon as you enter. The club validates parking through the hotel. If you stay longer than three hours, parking is only $12 with validation.
