I like this location, though the Rice Village location is sentimental to me. I love the ice cream, the junkyard cookies, and the cakes and pies. If you have not tried the Texas Frito Brittle and chocolate covered Oreos, definitely do! I’ve been coming to the establishment so long, I remember when it was The Chocolate Bar. The rebrand is thorough and thought it initially hurt my feelings, I really like the vibe.

Love love love this place. Found it a few days ago online and came in to try a slice of cake and a small box of truffles. It was fantastic, and of course we wanted to come back. Tonight, highways where not our side as alot of them were shut down, and it cut into the time it took to drive here. We got here cutting it sooooo so close to closing time but Dio was SOOOO extremely kind to take us in, I told them I’d be quick but ofc every customer says that and takes for ever. Dio was so kind to take a chance in cutting into their personal time and closing time to let us grab what we wanted. We picked quickly, and Dio got us out the door in minutes (came in at 9:56, out the door at 10:01) with a smile!!! Fantasic Sweets, fantastic service, and I can’t wait to come in for more truffles! (With better timing of course lol) And thanks Dio for believing me when I said I knew what I wanted and that we’d be quick, and kindly accepting my asking if we could make that purchase real quick. I know last minute customers in the service industry usually suck and you were so gracious and didn’t make me feel rushed in the slightest bit! Thank you!

Chocolates are beautiful. I’ve never eaten them - only given them as gifts. One boxed mix (Fritos) I bought was stale, disappointing and not worth what I paid for it - quite expensive. But other products are wonderful.

I was really looking forward to trying the wedding cake here, especially after reading so many great reviews. Unfortunately, it was a huge letdown. The cake was dry, stale, and lacked that classic wedding cake flavor I was expecting. It tasted like it had been frozen and put back out—definitely not fresh. The icing was hard and dry, not smooth or creamy. I don’t like leaving bad reviews, but I had to—for others like me who were hoping for a good experience, especially considering the price of the cakes. I really wanted to return the cake because I can’t even eat it—it’s just not edible. But I didn’t feel like going through the drama. This was my first visit, and sadly, I won’t be returning.

Pretty cool place to try out. Winfield's Chocolate Bar has cakes, coffee, ice cream, and assorted confectionery treats. There is inside and outside seating. Formal dining inside is available. Staff if friendly and knowledgeable. Parking on the street is difficult. As of today you can park in the center parking garage for free for the first 2 hours. The Tuxedo Cheese cake is probably the best option in my opinion.

These are so beautiful! There are so many choices so everyone, even vegans can pick something! They also have dog treats! And their chocolate tastes divine! They also have cake slices and ice cream! This place is like Willy Wonka and it's wonderful!

Very cute chocolate bar and they even have wine plus other drink if you are not into it. Tuxedo cheesecake is delicious, I wish I could have hot tea to enjoy them together. I also got Texas Turtle something, it is blended dark chocolate and espresso, really nice drink and dont sweet at all. Nice place for first dates, it is quiet during weekdays.

Stopped by after dinner. Great service with friendly staff. Carrot cake is delicious! Perfect amount of nuts/raisins to cake. Def a good size for two to share! Plenty of seating with patio as well. Def recommend!

I tried at least 3 different cake flavors. And not a single one was good and given the high price of each cake slice I could not justify buying any more. The cake was dry and the flavor was flat. The cake also did not taste fresh. I decided to give their truffles a try and immediately regretted my decision to buy a box of six. as a lover of chocolate this place breaks my heart. I absolutely do not recommend it.

We love the chocolate cakes here, especially the chocolate tres leches and the aunt or uncle cakes (depending on how rich vs sweet you like your cake). My son also loves their mango ice cream. The employees are always friendly and helpful!

I only had the ice cream but it was amazing. Simple vanilla but wow. The employee greeted us immediately and showed us around. She was great. I don't like chocolate but the selection was huge. Great place for chocolate and white chocolate for yourself or as a gift. Try the ice cream! There are a few tables so sit inside amongst all the chocolate!

Love this place. It's got a very classic vibe and the deserts are great! I love their cakes, for someone love chocolate but cannot take too much sweet like me, their cake is just the right sweetness. It's moisture and soft, perfect with coffee. Place is great to bring your date or have meeting :) Great packages for gifts too. The servers who helped us were great as well. Very nice and polite!

They were extremely nice and super helpful. The vibes here were excellent. The truffles were good but not great, thus 4 instead of 5 stars. I would like to go back and try other items because I have a hunch there are some gems here.

Twas a first time visiting here! The staffs are nice and pretty cool chocolate vibes are there! There are bunch of chocolate delicacies in many forms like cakes, macarons, cookies and ice cream. I had a cup of maple pecan and I enjoyed but if it was a bit less sugar that would been perfect I'll come visit again for special occasions! The place is a great spot, for a date, for after dinner dessert, for a treat for the kids, for anything you can think of to eat massive slices of some of the most moist and decadent cakes in the state. Enjoy a glass of vino and eye pleasing decor all served by a great staff.

The chocolate bar is such a solid spot for dessert. Their cakes are humongous, soft, and fluffy. My friend and I's favorite is the strawberry cake, but by the time we got there in the evening on a weekday, they were sold out. We ended up getting the aunt Etta's cake, which was massive and DECADENT as always. The turtle was delicious, and you could tell the caramel was homemade. The white chocolate PB cup was phenomenal, I mean look at that filling. Also, I was randomly craving a chocolate covered candied orange, and let me just say, that truly exceeded all my expectations. Their chocolate is of high quality, and even just the presentation of the desserts is great. There is more than enough parking spots and plenty of indoor seating. The whole interior was super clean and nice. It's a great place to hang out at. Employees were friendly and attentive!

Winfield's is such a sweet treat! The customer service is second to none and the wide selection of treats will surely have something for everyone. Their truffles are out of this world. Whatever flavor truffle you get - expect to have that flavor delivered in the most magical way. They have an assortment of chocolate dipped things like pretzels and dried fruit. They also have amazing cakes and chocolate covered popcorn. The interior is inviting and is a great spot for people of all ages to sit and enjoy a treat!

Yummy goodness!! We were in the area and looking for a sweet treat. I found this place just 5 min from where we were. Inside was full of treats, chocolate, cake, etc. The service was great - we walked in and were immediately greeted. The store shelves were lined with anything you'd want to try. We ended up getting two slices of cake, and my son picked some chocolates. I wanted the oreo cheesecake, but my daughter didn't, and we were sharing, so we had to compromise. Everyone enjoyed their picks. I'd definitely go back when in the area.

After several visits since this was the Chocolate Bar, I will not visit again. We had an out of town guest and after an enjoyable tapas dinner at El Meson, we ordered 3 pieces of cake here. The French vanilla and others were not served at the right temperature. The frosting fell off like chunks of plaster and stayed that way on the plate. The dessert was not inexpensive and we tried to eat as much as we could, but it was a lost cause. We all looked at each other and didn't say it, but the word was disaster.

I ordered the brownie supreme cake for a co-worker's birthday. She loves a double chocolate cake and this one did not disappoint. It was super chocolate-y with out being too dense or heavy. I placed the order for the cake 3 days out and picking it up was no problem.

Really? What have they done? Always was my go to place. This new concept of what was a fantastic operation pales in comparison. And serving wine? That place in the heights does it better! Good luck though!

Five stars alone for the size of the chocolate cakes! We couldn't resist the Etta, and we also got the Black Russian, which ended up being the most chocolatey mousse pie ever. We were happily eating off those massive slices for a whole week. I wish Dallas had as good dessert options as this!

Found this fancy chocolate place and decided to check it out. Not only did it have cute little chocolate truffles, they also have delicious gigantic cakes and cheesecakes! PLUS there's also cookies, brownies, and a coffee bar! This place is THE place to go to for a decadent dessert and what pairs well with dessert? Coffee! There was only 1 guy working there at the time and he was nice and professional. Loved the casual but fancy cafe vibe in there! I tried a few of their truffles which were delicious! And a smores mocha, which was too sweet for my palette but definitely recommend if you like your specialty coffee drinks on the sweeter side. And the Aunt Etta cake which was a HUGE slice of chocolate cake, very decadent, almost reminded me of the giant chocolate cake in Matilda! If you've been wanting to try this place I highly recommend! I actually need to go back and grab a few more truffles and try the other desserts!

I'm a huge chocolate lover so when I saw this place on TikTok, I immediately had to try this place. So many flavors to choose from I was overwhelmed. I don't really care for ice cream but I had a sudden urge to order two scoops and let me tell you, it was perfect!

We came for dessert after dinner since we heard that they had a great variety of items! They had so many cakes to choose from and we ended up getting the Uncle Daryl (Four layers of chocolate cake with chocolate chips and toffee bits between the layers and chocolate buttercream icing, covered in dark chocolate ganache). Its a huge slice of cake, so perfect for sharing for for multiple servings. Oh my goodness, it was so amazing if you're a chocolate lover. The toffee bits that they sprinkle on top go really well with the chocolate. The employees were so nice too and very helpful with questions. It was clean and spacious on the inside. Easy parking at the W Alabama location!

I went into the Galleria location again today and was just as happy as every other time. The staff make it a fun experience day or evening. Garfield, Brianna and Tyler know their product, make a great latte and can recommend whatever it is that you crave. My personal favorite is still the vanilla tres leches cake even though they say the chocolate tres leches is to die for. Give them a try. You'll be glad you did.

The slices are huge and the customer service was great. The cake was fantastic. I will return.

Officially my favorite dessert place. The ice cream tastes heavenly. They serve you at a fast pace. This place is very welcoming and outgoing.

Came with the kids and enjoyed a sugar rush lol! This is a great establishment with plenty of parking, plenty of seating inside, and plenty to choose from! Love this location so much too! We decided to share a piece of the Aunt Etta chocolate cake, my son had red velvet cake, and my daughter had a cake pop. I'm not a red velvet fan AT ALL, but I couldn't help but steal some of my son's cake haha! It was way better imho than the Aunt Etta chocolate cake. In fact, we must've left 90% of the piece and unfortunately (maybe fortunately for our gut and waistline?) threw the remainder in the trash. I personally felt like it was tasteless and had the flavor of simply unsalted butter, but hardened and colored with cocoa powder. Sounds harsh, but I'm not gonna dock a place based on one cake that I personally don't like simply because I love the variety of not only cakes, but ice creams and cookies as well. Plus, they have a lot of sweet gift ideas, is a super clean place, and the staff member that we interacted with was super super sweet!

I bought an Aunt Etta dark chocolate cake for a friend's birthday. It was expensive. It was also, a) gigantic; and, b) incredibly delicious! Dense, dark, moist, chocolately! Will definitely buy again but will probably go for slices, rather than a whole cake. My friends weighed it. It was 15 pounds!

Had a sweet tooth and this place popped up. The service was superb from Ken (hope I got that right). Very knowledgeable with the description about the bonbons. We joked they were too cute to eat he nah they will be alright, you will enjoy them lol. When I back in this side of town will definitely be back.

Service great however carrot cake was not the freshest cake. Cute little place with great lighting and nice seating.

a little expensive, but worth the splurge for a special occasion. such a large array of options everyone can find something they will like. my personal favorites are the junk yard ice cream and german chocolate cake. tip - sometimes they have "ugly" cake slices for a discount! the novelty chocolate make a great gift - i had an out of state friend come visit and she loved the chocolate cowboy boots. service is always friendly and quick. they recently downsized, but the new place is very clean and still with a bunch of options.

The chocolate goodies and team at Winfield's are exceptional! The team truly care about their product and their customers. The milk chocolate peanut butter cup is delicious as is the chocolate covered Oreos and Texas carmels!! Definitely worth the calories in each and every sweet treat Winfields sells!!

Absolutely amazing! Nice people inside. It's very welcoming. I ordered 2 wedding cake slices, strawberry cake slice, and a double scoop waffle cone of Brownie Supreme and caramel tornado. Hands down, amazing. The turtle was recommended, and next time, I will get that. I am definitely coming back. Price wise, it was definitely reasonable. I didn't break the bank and still feel like I got my money's worth.

This place was top notch! It has a very upscale ambiance, but we were greeted quickly and made to feel right at home. The ice cream was delicious and we were invited to try whatever we wanted. Everything we tried was delicious! Great coffee too! They also serve wine several wines and a ton of different cakes. There's something for anyone who likes dessert!

Dessert was good but young man wasn't very friendly or inviting. So, we just bought it and left. Don't see us going back. Sad - decent place. But used to love the place on W. Alabama. It's closed now. Super sad.

Aunt Etta chocolate cake is very good, huge slice $11.00 - it is shareable between 2-3 people. Red velvet cake is wonderful too. not too sweet. The hot chocolate is too sweet for my liking and made with Hershey's chocolate instead of winfield chocolate . service is a 10, ambiance is a 10. they have booths which i love. overall very nice experience.

Before the new ownership, this sweet spot was a fun place to go and the sweets were worth the trip. Now, all of the fun has been replaced with bland sophistication, much of the stock has been reduced, and the chocolate is lackluster and low in flavor. The promises of good chocolate and joy are no longer found here. What a shame.

This place is great. The servers are great and friendly and the food, chocolate, ice cream and cake are all exceptional. The place is always spotless too.

Looking for the Chocolate Bar but cant find it anymore? Me too. We went to the normal location, only to find it gone so we did a u-turn and headed back down Alabama to a place we noticed on google a block from Kirby. When we walked into Winfields it looked suspiciously familiar. Turns out the chocolate bar moved... and changed its name.. so if you can't find the old place don't be embarrassed, you're in good company. We grabbed a slice of OMG cheesecake and strawberry cake, both of which were delicious. It's as good as the old chocolate bar was, but with better parking and a more modern interior. I would have uploaded a photo of the cake, but we ate it too quick!

I love this place. They have some of the best desserts and ice cream. I love the dark chocolate turtles. So good! The Aunt Etta's chocolate cake is the bomb, if you are a chocolate lover! Lol
