"I’m excited that the new Winfield’s location at 2411 West Alabama in the Centre at River Oaks will bring an outdoor patio and a different name and look while promising the same dizzying assortment of chocolate treats — from chocolate peanut butter ice cream cones and chocolate-covered Twinkies to dark chocolate caramel truffles — along with cakes, cookies, ice cream, and chocolate gift sets. Branded as Winfield’s in honor of Chocolate Bar president Molly Voorhees’ father, Win Campbell (co-founder of Beck’s Prime), the 1,778-square-foot interior and patio are being designed by Garrison Design Office, and the opening this summer will be a welcome return for those who mourned the Montrose shop’s August 2021 closure." - Adele Chapin
