This has one of the best pizzas and tiramisu I have had in a while. The crust was the perfect thickness and the pepperoni was amazing. The tiramisu has the perfect amount of coffee flavor and the marscapone was the perfect consistency. Not too thick, not too light. The service was great as was the atmosphere. As an added bonus, they have this cute little play kitchen for kids. This is is a place i will definitely come back to when i am in the area.

I love their capuccino, cup with sauce plate is absolutely rare over here and I love this care. Everything is so delicious. But you need be patient because the local is always almost full. Delicious food everyone wants 😋

I’m actually still seated on a stool in Wingen right now, but I was too thrilled to wait until I left to write this review. The charm, the warmth, the energy of this place is sublime. And as a shameful espresso snob, I can attest — they make a damn good spro. The “to go” and “for here” sides are genius. They’ve got something for everybody!

Absolutely will go back... We lived the seasonal pizza pie that we tried besides the other regular offerings in the menu... The salad and olives appetizer was very fresh.

The wait time is a bit long if you come during prime dinner time, but if you haven’t tried the pizza and salad here, I would say that the wait is worth it! We had the best waitress who helped us to decide which pizzas to order, and we got to try three pizzas between the two of us! We took some home and reheated them in our air fryer and the pizzas were just as good once heated up again! The salads are also so good and “buttery” - you’re not fighting to chew the greens and also each individual ingredient on there that is including the seasonal ingredient, are so fresh and flavorful! I’m definitely bringing back my friends and family one by one. Love the open kitchen and the decorations around the restaurant.

You feel like you're in the most beautiful bakery in New York. All the staff feel like family. Every bite I take is incredibly delicious. My favorites are the avocado toast and soft egg! Their coffee is also amazing! If you want to hang out in a place that makes you feel special, I highly recommend it! Friday night is pizza night, and I think they make the best pizza in the Bay Area. I'm a big fan of this place! Please hire me! 👻

Amazing food, great service. What more could you want. Gluten free options in the bakery and at the dinner service. The muffins are to die for. I cannot say enough about the flavor. Well done. Dinner is also a treat. There is way more than pizza. Though that’s a solid go to. The rotating specials are phenomenal. Many great pasta dishes. Think Italian comfort food with fresh farm to table ingredients.

I'm completely in love with this place – Wingen Bakery. Everything is excellent: the sandwiches, pizzas, drinks, bread and pastries, le vol.au vent !!!! The puff pastry, la pâte feuilletée, is absolutely incredible! Go there for the quality, the service, and for Aimee, Bryan, and the whole team. I'm French, and I 100% approve of this message – maybe even 110% ... there's wine.

My partner picked up a bunch of goodies here for us to try so excuse me for not knowing the formal names. He ordered a caramely crusty kouign amann, a focaccia looking roll, and a quiche. All very delicious. The kouign amann was a bit tough but maybe that's because I didn't eat it until the evening. Haven't been to the location to speak to the ambiance but the breads were delicious!

The staff here are so lovely. I've tried both the bakery side as well as the restaurant. Bakery: Latte was delicious. The breakfast sandwich lacked any flavor whatsoever, sadly. I've been twice now and mistakenly ordered the same thing both times. Boo. Restaurant: The starter bread was a little stale - I wasn't a fan of it. Their pizzas are so yummy however. We tried the potato and sausage one, as well as a butternut squash pizza with a spicy honey drizzle. Both pizzas were easily 5/5.

Their updated interior is quite nice and has a welcoming ambiance, while retaining the small touches that are an homage to the owners' late daughter. The food as always tastes fresh and the portion sizes are decent. A lot of their dishes have very thick slices of bread, and personally I'd prefer a different topping/filling : bread ratio.

A very well-deserved five star review! I've been here multiple times and am just so impressed with everything! The employees are so welcoming and charming. The food is so comforting and delicious. And Wingen is VERY popular which says a lot!

Wingen hosted a game night, to benefit Roll for Inclusion, which will open its doors soon. Not that we needed an excuse, though. It's a chance to share pictures of menu items other than the pizza we will probably always order. I had a Caesar salad, the wife had another kind of salad, I had cheesecake for dessert, and she had a homemade pop tart, which was actually mislabelled in the menu and wasn't so great. But we had a blast playing a card word game, and they were great with their wine pours as always. Thanks for hosting!

I just love this first time visit to this gem. We don't live in the area but met my son and his wife in Livermore to go here for the first time. A+ for the pizza and service was fantastic. We also got a bottle of Vine Farm Ridge which they said was organic and grown locally in Livermore and it did not disappoint and was exceptional! Don't forget to get the olives beforehand for an added touch. I will be back.

One star off for service. We visited on a Friday evening around 7-7:30 PM--four adults and a 2-year-old. The host at the entrance was extremely sweet and welcoming, which gave us a great first impression... but unfortunately, that changed quickly. We were seated right away, but no one offered or served us water. When our server finally arrived, he seemed more focused on rushing us to order than making us feel comfortable. We started with the Nonna Gnudi and initially mentioned wanting the focaccia but then decided against it--yet it was brought out anyway. Within just a few minutes of being served the appetizer, the server returned to push for our pizza order. He came across as cold and unwelcoming--the rudest server we've encountered in a while. We ordered two mushroom and peach pies. The Nonna Gnudi was exceptional--light, pillowy, and refreshing. There was quite a wait between the appetizer and the pizzas, but the pizza itself was delicious: flavorful toppings with perfectly light sourdough crust. Unfortunately, the service didn't improve. The server came back within 5-10 minutes of serving the pizza to ask if we wanted dessert. We had asked for chili flakes, which he forgot to bring, so we had to ask another (younger) server--who was helpful and brought them right away. To top it off, our server returned quickly to drop off the check and made a comment like, "With a kid, I know it can be difficult, so I thought I'd just wrap things up." The tone felt dismissive and passive-aggressive, not considerate. The food was fantastic, but the service left a lot to be desired. We'd come back for the pizza--but definitely hope for a different server next time. Bakery review : We also ordered a croissant and a tomato cheese Kouign-amann from the pastry counter. Unfortunately, even that experience was underwhelming. The same young server who had helped us earlier took our order, but he mixed it up--we were charged correctly, but instead of the croissant, we received a raisin apricot bar. He also took an unusually long time assisting the customer before us. The wait was so frustrating that, for a moment, we considered just walking out. As for the pastries themselves--they were just okay. Nothing memorable, and certainly not worth the hassle.

Came in on a friend's recommendation. I was hoping I had arrived early enough to pick up an olive loaf but JUST missed it. Since I was already here I decided to try the country loaf. They sliced it for me, which is nice when that option is available. Their brunch menu that is attached next door looks like it has a tasty menu I'll have to come back for some time. I also ordered an iced caramel latte... I'll pass on that one next time. Just felt like I was purely drinking a glass of milk. Based on reviews, I'll chalk it up to an off day and come back again the future for another go.

Wow, what a great find. This bakery scratch makes all their baked goods. The sourdough bagels are especially special. We grabbed a dozen for coworkers and they went very fast. The regular and herb cream cheese were good compliments to the bagel selection. I also tried the chocolate croissant and probably one of the best I ever had. There was a generous amount of dark chocolate inside the croissant and a flaky crust. I coupled that with a latte and it made for a wonderful breakfast treat. Their warm breakfast menu doesn't start until 8am and their lunch menu doesn't start until 11 am. Both menus look like excellent offerings. Their loaf breads also look delicious. We came very early and some of the items were still warm. Limited indoor and outdoor seating but it looks like they are in the process of expanding the store. Good service. Casual. Please come and create your own experience.

Soo what the hell are they putting in the egg sandwich??? Why is it so good?? Perhaps I have no business writing this review as it was my first time in, and I only got one thing to go but damn. The experience was good! I came in shortly before closing yapping away on my phone like a heathen (sorry! was in multitask mode) Staff was super super friendly despite my all over the placeness and the fact that it was only 40 minutes or so until closing. My order was ready within 10 minutes and they even through in some delicious hot sauce. Yoooo this egg sandwich had me in my feelings! In the best possible wayyy. The bread! Transcendent! The eggs! Amazement! Everything came together in a glorious and delectable fashion. Twas a bit pricey, but I can't wait to come back and sample all the things!

First time for dinner and fantastic pizza and exceptional service. We shared a bottle of Vine Farm Ridge red blend, a new Livermore local wine- superb. Loved this gem! We will be back.

Wingen Bakery really impressed us! We ordered the sausage and shishito pepper pizza, and the flavors were spot-on -- savory, a little smoky, and perfectly balanced. We asked if they could add pineapple, and not only did they say yes, but it was fresh pineapple, not the canned stuff. Big win for flavor. Service was excellent -- friendly, accommodating, and quick to get our order out. The crust deserves its own shoutout: crisp on the outside, chewy inside, and with that perfect wood-fired flavor that makes you want to eat every last bite. It is a bit on the pricey side, but it's the Bay Area, and for the quality of ingredients and execution, it felt worth it. Definitely a spot I'd come back to for a treat-yourself pizza day.

Fun spacious place with nice happy staff. - sourdough - it was good - Ham sandwich: really enjoyed it. Good baguette, good portion of the ham and good butter. And they used good quality ham. - Americano: really good coffee. And he had good knowledge of where the coffee blend is and where it came from.

Located I believe in downtown Livermore so parking isn't the easiest, but definitely worth looking for a spot. My friend had suggested to meet here for lunch as she loves their sourdough, even took one of their sourdough classes! I didn't have much time to walk around the shop as I had a short timeframe to catch up with my friend, but from a quick glance, this is a really kid friendly spot - some few toys for the kids to play with and even a changing table in the bathroom. Service was good - they acknowledged when we were down and brought out boxes without asking. Ok.... On to the good part - THE FOOD! I only had a chance to try their Chicken Club Sub but first bite and I was in heaven. I LOVE a good fresh sourdough bread so this was up my ally. The bread perfectly Crispy on the outside and soft and bouncy on the inside! The chopped chicken salad was flavorful - chicken was tender, bacon was crispy so it added a nice crunch. The portion was huge! I had half for lunch then the other half for dinner. Can't remember what brand the chips were but those were perfectly crispy! I definitely want to come and grab some pastries and try their other sandwiches! Maybe on a Saturday morning, we will swing by but given how popular this place is, I am big nervous about coming on a weekend.

Love this place. The young staff (Isaiah) have personalities that make you feel welcome and important. There is both take out, a coffee bar and a sit down dining area that is comfortable and pleasant. The coffee is great and we cannot wait to go for lunch and dinner.

This is my favorite little restaurant in Livermore. I've been several times for breakfast and once for lunch, and I purchased sourdough here to take home The environment is comfy, the service is friendly, and the food is delicious Typically, I get the avocado toast and then share a chocolate chip cookie with whoever I'm with. I'm obsessed with their chocolate chip cookies. They are so delicious! The avocado toast is also amazing and I've had some bites of the sweeter brekkys. Today I had the breakfast sandwich for lunch, and, again, I was happy with every bite. It was on the small side, which is nice because I feel like everything is always too big. That said, I could've definitely eaten more because it was so good. I like all things breakfast. Add bread, grilled with butter and it's even more delish. The coffee is also very good! I'm always happy that this place is busy because they run a good business. I read the story on the owners online, and it's a very sad yet inspiring story. Always looking forward to going back.

Updated review: Wingen Bakery is consistently one of my favorite spots in Livermore. The service is always so warm and kind. The environment is family friendly with a kids menu and a play kitchen. This makes it a popular spot for parents so they can bring their kids and socialize at the same time. There's also a free music and storytime event hosted by a local mom usually a couple times a month on Thursdays. We love Friday night pizza night. We've only ordered takeout so far but I'm looking forward to going in person one day. I appreciate the seasonal menu. The potato pizza is a favorite. We've also been to some of their special events and collaborations with other businesses (like for Oktoberfest) and always love the food. Just plan ahead, there will be a line but it's worth it. This business is on the Livermore Pride Passport, proudly supporting and celebrating the LGBTQ+ community. I'm so happy to know my money is going to a business that shares my values while I get the opportunity to try innovative and delicious menu items. Wingen Bakery is such a beloved asset to the Livermore community.

As a Livermore enthusiast, I've admired Wingen from afar but hadn't been in. Even though we live in Oakland, The Vine Cinema in Livermore is our go-to movie spot. This time, we had some time to kill and we knew this was our chance to try the Wingen magic we had heard so much about. It did not disappoint. Our only slight nit was the interior temperature on this hot day was a little warm for our taste but we were determined to try the heralded Wingen pizza. The first thing that hit us was how incredibly friendly everyone was. Not just the host or our server...everyone. There was just such a positive vibe emanating from the place. Wingen was a bakery legendary for its bread and has branched out and expanded into a restaurant as well with beer, wine and "light alcohol" and mocktail options. We settled on a caesar salad and pepperoni pizza. I was 93% sure we'd leave hungry or order another pizza. I was 100% incorrect. When the salad arrived, I thought it was covered with bacon bits and was disappointed but as it turns out, they were heavenly --no-- otherworldly sourdough breadcrumbs and they were in my dreams when I slept that night. I would buy them if they sold them. We were honestly giddy eating the salad. The light dressing was perfect. The pizza arrived and it was a little bigger than was described. I was thrilled to see some big burned bubbles around the outside. This is true artisan pizza. We ended up taking half of it home. So good. So so good. We even grabbed some baked goods on the way out for home (we ate them in the car after the movie :-)). WIngen is one of those small family owned businesses that make downtown Livermore a special gem. Get here.

The best local bakery and restaurant. Amazing staff, amazing story, and the BEST quality food. Honorable mentions list is too long to type out at this point. Our go-to place for breakfast, lunch, and dinner - or even just to grab coffee and study or socialize.

Oh my goodness. I have a lot of favorites, but Wingen will always have my heart. I've never loved a bagel breakfast sandwich like I love theirs. I beg my husband to buy me one almost twice a week and every time it's mouthwatering. We started off by getting the French Onion Bagel sandwich and I was so sad when I learned it's seasonal, but all of the other bagels are just as delicious. The bacon is cooked perfectly crisp, the egg isn't messy, and the bagel is thin and soft. I'm craving one just writing this. Our dental office was gifted an assortment of baked goods once and their cookies taste amazing!!! Will definitely continue stopping by for the rest of my life lol

LOVE coming here for breakfast, I brought my dad and grandma to try it out and can happily say they LOVED it! My dad's extremely picky about where he gets his Americano but he absolutely enjoyed it here as well as his eggs bacon and toast! He'll be coming back :) and my grandma loved her egg sandwich with a mocha she almost ordered another one! As for me, I'm too attached to the avocado toast and will always order it :))

Wingen is more than just a bakery, it's a warm, welcoming part of our lives. For a long time, we spent at least one morning every weekend here with our son. It became a beloved routine. There's a warmth and happiness that fills the space, and you feel it the moment you walk in. Everything on the menu is clearly crafted with care and thought. Every pastry, every dish, every detail has so much heart behind it. The environment is just as intentional and inviting as the food. What really sets Wingen apart is the presence of the owners. They're always there, greeting customers, chatting with regulars, jumping in behind the counter, or kitchen, and truly engaging with their team. It's such a rare and beautiful thing to see owners so involved and so genuinely invested in the community they're feeding. Now that we have three kids, it's a little harder to get in as regularly, and we always feel guilty taking up all the high chairs! But whenever we do make it in, it feels like coming home. Livermore is incredibly lucky to have Wingen! It's a bright light in our city!

LOVE LOVE LOVE this cute bakery in town. We met the owner Brian and he was the sweetest! We also had the pleasure of getting Mario as our server for one of the fridays for pizza night! He was extremely sweet and helpful. He went above and beyond in making sure we had a wonderful first experience. The pizza here was delicious. So is the coffee and and fresh bread. We always go in to pick up loaves for toasts and sandwiches. Their almond croissant and avocado toasts are also some of my other favorites. This is def our go-to bakery in town and so excited to introduce this place to our friends especially for more pizza nights!

Service was friendly. Line moved vary quickly. Interior was clean and tidy. Price was a little high, $7 for a plain croissant. $14 for a sausage egg muffin. Seatings were not very comfortable. A lot of families with small kids on the day we visit. Street parking or public parking lot. Overall experience was not bad.

The best biscuits and gravy I've had in my life! My friends had the bagel with salmon and capers, and they tried the Sausage Mc Wingen sandwich, and they were equally as happy as I was! Brendan was our server, and he hit the ball out of the park with us today! The atmosphere was extremely friendly, and the food was delicious. Being an avid motorcycle rider for most of my life, I would love to know the backstory of the two vintage Hondas up on the shelf?

So amazing!! We stopped in impromptu after a hike and we were so glad we did! The meatball sandwich was DELICIOUS. Perfect size to share too because it's huge! My matcha latte was perfect. The cafe itself was cute and the workers were nice. Great experience! Get the meatball sandwich. Trust me.

Definitely order the meatballs... make sure to get the focaccia bread to go with it so you can dip in the sauce. Great service great food

This bakery restaurant, coffee house , "cool Bay Area vibes" place is an amazing place to get some of the best freshest top-notch ingredients and flavors bakery items, sandwiches, pizzas anywhere . Even if you have to drive further to sample and enjoy the food. It's well worth the drive.. It's a bit of a ride to get there for me, but it is truly well worth it for I have never been disappointed in the quality and unique offerings from the sandwiches coffees, bakery goods . The selections and the care made with every single product is so highly appreciated. . The chicken salad sandwich is well worth the rave as is all the sandwiches pizza Bakery goods gluten-free goods etc The owners brainstorm new things to offer to tantalize the regulars and new customers alike . It brings out the little kid in us anticipation g a new delectable goodie. The staff must be hand selected because no matter when I go in there, I get a nice person to help me. We've been fans of Wingen for awhile and were thrilled to hear that they were starting dinner service. Finally had a chance to try it out tonight and all I can say is WOW. Everything was on point-- food, service, vibe. Love these guys and everything they do.

Welcomed the newly expanded Wingen Bakery/restaurant with friend. Staff were welcoming & service was excellent!. We both had the turkey avacado sub with tea. Delicious & enough to have other half next day. Dessert: fresh pastry with chocolate in it! What's not to love & it was absolutely perfection! On our way out, bought fresh sourdough french bread to take home. We'll be back for more food! It was after the noon rush. The acoustics desperatly need refinement, as we couldn't hear each other across the table w/o repeating & same problem with our excellent waiter. I hope they can solve that problem to make it a perfect dining experience. Upon leaving, noticed some tables outside on northside of building. Perhaps it's not so noisy there.

Amy's Patry Chef creativeness and unique breakfast Brunch items ate good to good- GO! The biscuits&gravy what can I say-satisfying but beyond tasty, must have liquor cooked out or calvacados. It's rich yet smooth. Pastries! Yes, from morning bun regulars to exotic and cookies and kid friendly items. Warning, sometimes line is out to sidewalk, but for awesome reasons. Good food, you my have to come back oh my later for a baguette or epi Bryan has a baker all early morning. American fare with a twist. Coffee is Four Barrel locally roasted. Tea too! Now they do well with Friday night Pizza. 8 out of a ten. They give back to our community too. Now this year opened new room next door for seating. We prefer patio seating. Covered. One take away would be a brunch sandwich you should atleast try the avacado toast with egg on their fresh bread.quality ingredients. Don't see sysco trucks and some local vendor items beside light merch as well. Some like the flour is organic. You'll have to taste to believe.the Kapsicky. I've been coming to downtown livermore for years but have never stumbled upon this place. I read that they have a pastry chef or baker from Range Life (also a good restaurant) so we wanted to check out their pastries and breads. PARKING - There is a lot right next to the bakery, but it was closed that day for a special downtown livermore event. We still found parking at a nearby lot so no issues. ATMOSPHERE - one of the main reasons we came here was they have a little play kitchen for the kids (I have two kids). They have three areas to the bakery. The ordering area where you can see the breads and pastries on display, then the middle area with bathroom and playkitchen and mostly high table tops and then a back area where you can see the bakers at work behind glass and some larger tables. It was good for kids, we didn't have trouble finding a table on a Saturday for lunch time. FOOD - got the bagel and breakfast sandwich. BAGEL - they are supposed to be sourdough bagels so we were hoping it would be similar to Courage bagels in LA but it wasn't. Get it toasted because we didn't get it toasted and it was a little hard. My mom got hers toasted and it was a little better. Overall the bagel itself was decent. The lox and toppings were good but the bagel itself a little disappointing. BREAKFAST SANDWICH - bread was good, crusty but not too hard and the bacon crispy. Overall, I would definitely get this again but it was a little small so barely enough for 1 person. CROISSANT WHEEL (?) - I don't remember what it was called but it was like a croissant in a wheel form and more crunchy. It was very good with cream on the inside. Probably the best thing we had there. Overall, I'd come back to try other pastries and it was a great place for kids to play while we enjoy lunch/pastries.

Have been here many times and have been consistently impressed. Staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive as always. Even for to go orders. Dining room remodel is going on right now (early May 2025) but they do have a bit of bar seating by the window and a few tables outside. The new Cafe section looks great; I love the glassed-in active bakery area. Now on to the food! Note: Wingen makes all baked goods in house. poppy bagel, toasted, with cream cheese: really, just wonderful. The bagel was 100% legit old school NYC. Great crust, insides are chewy but not overly dense. Lots of seeds on top. Toasted to be hot enough to melt the cream cheese a bit and have a slightly crunchy texture on the cut sides, but no further. Delicious cream cheese and a generous serving. I would put this bagel up against any competition. You would be hard-pressed to find a bagel as good as this anywhere in NorCal, outside of a few great shops we have in Oakland and SF. kougin-amann: today's was chocolate. Also wonderful! Sugary crust, gooey middle, kind of like an underdone brownie (which I love). Somehow there is something distinctly Wingen about the flavor. Maybe the yeast? Anyway, it's a terrific pastry! Based on multiple visits over the past several years - Wingen does everything the right way or not at all. I'm very happy to see them continuing to succeed and grow!

This review is based on having a cheese steak that my buddy picked and had at Home Grown Hops for Cornhole tournament. Holy WOW. What not to like about their cheese steak. Your first bite you can taste the quality of everything they put in it. The bread I could eat alone all day long. Not sure what meat is used but you can tell it's no cheap meat option. But the cheese in that thing was sooooo good. had my first half and saved the other half for home. Even cold is so dang good also. Had my daughter try and she's one picky eater. She did ones of those head turns right after her first bite with her eyes lighting up. no words needed to be said after that haha. So for me I have blood pressure issues and not supposed to eat white bread. I did not care nor did I feel and spike AT ALL. Which tells me great and simple ingredients for their breads. It's nice to find another spot in Livermore that I feel is one of the City's best spot along with a really good cheese place down the street which uses their breed. Can't wait to actually go in and see other options they have! This is a must spot to try!

Really like the upgraded remodel! The food taste even better :) they have really good ham and cheese, croissants, and ham and cheese quiche!

This bakery is located in downtown. There are public parking further away if you don't mind walking. The order line was very long on a Saturday morning until around 10:30am. The cafe is pretty full and sometime it's hard to find a table, especially many people like to stay for hours to work or hangout. The food and beverage are good. Many pastry items were sold out in the morning. Service is good as well.

Breakfast sandwich with ham is my go too favorite thing. You must MUST try a pastry they have amazing flavors! I love love their cinnamon rolls. They have homemade Carmel and so a Carmel iced latte is a go too also!

After eating at a local place, we decided to stop by this bakery that everyone seemed to come out of. Really good bakery! The Olive bread was awesome. I don't usually eat bread, but I couldn't stop eating this freshly baked Olive bread. Not sure if they had any seasonal butters to go along with their bread selection but I could see it pairing well with some great butters! My favorite was the Matcha cookie! I think it was a white chocolate drizzle on the top and made the combination go super well together. You can taste the matcha flavors but not too overwhelming. Cookie held up great and still moist and not too soft. Perfect! Forgot the name of the 3rd item I got but it was decent. Kind of reminded me of a fig newton. Black cherry and almond slice. Clean space with plenty of seating. Cute little place to meet a friend or have your cup of coffee solo with some nice treats. Service was great as well! They work super fast and they were all very nice. Will be back for sure!

Everyone who works there is friendly and seems to thoroughly enjoy his/her job. This is a real distinction for the restaurant. I had been there for breakfast and wanted to try their Friday Night Pizza offering that some friends raved about. We are glad we did. The only negative is the sound. The restaurant is quite loud when at capacity, so it's hard to hear.

I used to come here when it was a bakery and did the occasional pizza night. Loved it back then but they've completely remodeled. It's even better now. We went for breakfast and then went back for dinner on our day trip to Livermore. Everything we had was good but special mention to the pizza. I love pizza. I seek out good pizza restaurants wherever we go.... this is really good pizza. Refreshing cocktails and a great selection of beers. Egg sandwich is still a legend. Everything is just good. Go. Lovely local business.

I didn't go to Wingen expecting a spiritual awakening. I just wanted some pizza and maybe a cookie or two. But what happened inside that bakery was something deeper... something sacred. First of all, let me set the record straight, I don't eat pizza crust. Never have. It's just a dry handle, a chewable reminder that the good part is over. I am a cheese-and-sauce purist. Or... I was. Then I took a bite at Wingen. It started slow... just a casual nibble on the end. And then something happened. My eyebrows raised. My ancestors whispered, "Child, you've been living a lie." That crust? Golden. Flavorful. Chewy with a little crackle on the edge like it trained in Italy but grew up in Brooklyn. I ate the entire slice. And then another. I didn't even look back. I'm a new person now. Now, let's talk desserts. I tried every single one. (Don't judge me, I was in a moment.) Every bite was like being hugged by a tiny sugar angel. Not a single miss. If I had to pick a favorite, I can't, because that's not fair to the others. The Basque Cheesecake!! WAIT! the tiramisu!! but one critique the ice cream sandwiches should be sold in a 4 pack box. And the low-fi cocktails? Chill, bright, and oddly meditative. Like a spa day for your tongue. I drank one and immediately wanted to lay in a field and reevaluate my priorities. By the time I left Wingen, I wasn't the same person. I went in craving cheese and left worshipping crust, drunk on tomato pie and emotional over the ice cream sandwich. If food can be poetry, this place is a haiku that hits you in the feelings. Don't dodge the bar seating. Eric, Mary, and Jermey at the Bar had great service and were so friendly, knew a great deal about the food and the bar program. Go. Go now. Bring friends. Or don't. More for you.

Stopped here while driving through for lunch Service was not as expected and slow. Food was average at best No need to return.

Look... You want the best bake goods made from the best stuff on earth with the best humans keeping this all in mind? Good! Say less, eat here and see for yourself! Bryan & Aimee walk the walk and talk the talk. They are present day in and out at Wingen Bakery. They talk and do the work, not just being from afar. The space is amazing filled with community, art, and nothing is hidden of what is being made! Quality is the size of their mindfulness to love its staff, customers, and city they keep telling their story. If you want a big market store bake goods using goodness knows what in their products, just skip this spot and move on...

First visit to Wingen's Bakery after a year hiatus. Big mistake on our part waiting so long. Staff is super friendly. You place your order at the counter and they bring it to you. Plenty of seating inside if you get there after the rush. Menu is not large but also plenty of delicious looking bakery items displayed. My wife and I ordered 2 orders of avocado toast, decaf coffee and a hot chocolate. The avocado toast was perfectly toasted and generous avocado. Coffee & hot chocolate were served at a good temp and tasty. We will go again and recommend it highly. The bakery is young child friendly with plenty of items for kids to occupy themselves.

Love this bakery and the story of how they got started during the pandemic is touching. Got an assortment of stuff here to try new things and support this small couple-owned business... Chicken salad sandwich - my favorite thing. The chicken is from Roli Roti and is very juicy, and it's tossed in an herbaceous aioli. Lemon poppy scone and cheddar chive scones - good flavor but not a very buttery scone and a little dry. Baguette - incredible. Only available after 11 am. Pastrami sandwich - limited time offering and perfect. Crispy, greasy rye bread; delicious pastrami; and sauerkraut Mortadella sandwich - good but nothing special about it - just a mortadella sandwich Chocolate kouign amann - amazing. Didn't think I'd like it since I'm kind of a purist at times, but this was so well caramelized and stuffed with a yummy chocolate ganache. Hope they keep this one on the menu!

Food and presentation 10/10 Clean seating areas Easy walk up register to order A bit of a wait for items ordered so if your working there it's chill, if you're in a rush the wait might be min 15 min. Taste of the espresso, sweets, and bagels 10/10! This was a pit stop on my way out of SF, would come back again. Staff was sweet.

Nothing but love for this place. We've met one of the owners Bryan who has been nothing but kind to my wife and I. GREAT bread, really good coffee and service and fantastic place to sit down and enjoy your food. Bring the family and bring your friends and support small businesses like Bryan and Aimee.

9/20/24- We went to check out classics night for cheesesteaks yesterday. The line was sooo long but you could smell the aroma outside! Got there at 5:30p. The line kept getting longer, but it was moving slow. I ordered and paid at the register at 6:15. They told me it was an estimated 1 hour wait, so we walked to Big Apple to get a slice, and then to Verace for some gelato afterwards. Walked back to Wingen, they had already sold out, but everyone was waiting on their orders. I didn't get my food until 8pm. It was almost 2 hrs turnaround time, which I let slide because Wingen has my heart. I ordered a mushroom/vegetarian and it was super salty, but the flavors were good. It came with provolone and peppers. I wish the onions were caramelized or grilled longer. The cheese was my favorite part. I would have preferred white or portobello mushrooms over maitake, but it was good, I still enjoyed it. $17 for my sandwich. My husband and daughter got the classic as is. They loved it. The meat is wagyu beef. My son also got classic, but no onions and subbed with cheese wiz. He loved it! I saw JTM make it and he slathered on the wiz on the hoagie bottom, then the beef, then bathed the meat again in the cheese. He did not skimp! The classics were $18, cheese wiz is an extra $2. Eating the cheesesteaks made me forget about the 2.5 hr wait for a late dinner, but not sure I'd wait that long again next time. Their pizzas are still great, so are their bagels, egg sandwiches, pastries, especially the s'mores spiral croissants, I wish they'd bring that back again! Will still come back and support my favorite what I like to call "Luke's Diner of Livermore." =D
