😐😐Y'all need to do better Wingfield! We called in an order at 1:12pm and placed our order. We arrived at 1:49pm and THE ORDER WASN'T EVEN STARTED! Back in the day this establishment stayed booming so to wait for these amazing burgers was understandable. TODAY THOUGH....Not only were there no cars in the parking lot, there wasn't anyone inside the restaurant waiting. My babe went in to pay for the food only to be met with an excuse that the food wasn't ready because they were busy and they just got meat! 🤔BUSY WHERE? THERE'S NO ONE HERE!!! Mind you, I watch a woman walk in and get her order while we're being told ours hasn't been started. This is 2025 and as long as you've been in business you should be better staffed and have a meat distributor that's ready and on time when you're ready. Whenever you do get the chance to get their burgers in your possession they may not be seasoned like they use to be but they hit the spot! They're big enough for two people to eat and the bacon cheeseburger is exceptional. We won't be back because of the service, but don't let that stop you from taking a chance

I love the gigantic burgers of this restaurant. A person will get more than their money worth. The burgers are bold and full of flavor. I recommend grabbing a burger from there.

This little spot has been around for a long time, and the past 5 years or so has had a spot at the State Fair. The menu is limited, but they do what they do best. And their best is to make the best burgers around. Their burgers are simply the best. Not some pretentious Foo Foo burger but a damn great burger. Fresh, large, well made. The flavor is great. Parking is almost non-existent, and seating is not available. But you will find a steady stream of takeout. Phone in and go pick up the best burgers ever.

First with the service, it was good. People doing their jobs and not faking. On to the food, it was wildly good! Big burger(large is LARGE) and very well priced. I had the onion rings and they were pretty damn good, a perfect crunch, but still tender inside. Burger was seasoned perfectly and I am well done burger guy and this thing was there. The only thing that was a bit much was the kool-aid, it was much sweeter than I prefer, but if I was 20 years younger I would've loved it! All in all I look forward to my next visit, I love supporting local businesses and this will be a repeat for sure.

This place has the best burger ANYWHERE EVER!! I wish they would do breakfast again. Cooked to order so call it in.

Just tried this place a week ago and have already been back for seconds!! They have to most delicious burgers I have ever tasted in my whole life!! They are so delicious I can never eat any burger the same way again!! They are huge juicy flavorful burgers!! Staff is always super friendly !! Lemonade is super yummy!! I got the bacon burger everything is so fresh and amazing!! Must try the onion rings again by far the best onion rings I have ever had! Everything is worth the wait and the hype!! The place maybe super small and parking is hard when busy but it is well worth the wait!! The wait is never super long but I would wait and hour just to have one of their delicious burgers!! Online ordering was easy too!!

CALL AHEAD! Send a DM. Mail A Letter. Do not just walk up in there and order. They got PEOPLE in front of you. The grill and the parking lot are working just as hard as the employees at Wingfield's.

Called in an order @112pm and was told it’ll be ready in 30mins.. 149pm Arrived took empty parking lot and to pay expecting to get my food. Sadly disappointed. Paid for my order just to be told.. I’ll have to wait a extra 20-30mins for my order to be made.. I order 4 burgers with cheese and 2 with bacon and onion rings with 2 drinks.. This ridiculous service and the burgers isn’t good as they use to be.. Sadly won’t be visiting here again and I grew up eating these burgers as a kid. It’s a shame to get service for ya money like such. Gotta do better

Was actually craving a Wingfield burger today because I hadn't had one in a long time,and it did not disappoint. Got a bacon cheeseburger combo with onion rings and a lemonade. I knew not to get a double,cause that'd be a bit much for me,and I'm a big back! But the burger was just as I remembered, big,juicy,and delicious! The next time I'm craving a burger,I'm definitely gonna get Wingfield's!

There's no possible way to eat this in one setting. Not sure why anyone would be able to eat a double bcus this single is humongous. Fast service and tasty food.

I know I'm late to try out this Wingfield's Burgers.. I came across them on social media, so i decided to give them a try. This place is what you might call a hole in the wall type of place. I ordered myself a Bacon cheeseburger with French fries. Right of the bay after opening the burner I was shocked at the size of that patty. The meat has some great flavor but just a bit over cooked for my taste. The fries are not bad also, the seasoning they put on them just gives it a great taste. The place itself is pretty small. There's actually no place to eat inside it. It's just like you order to go. I know this place has been open for a very long time and has its history in Dallas "Oakcliff" area.

A small but popular takeout burger spot. Don't expect any bells and whistles. I go once a year on average. I've yet to find another place that gets close to what a homemade burger tastes like. The patties a very thick and the meat is seasoned. If that's not your thing, sit this one out. Also, I used to call ahead trying to avoid the inevitable long wait, but there's no way around waiting at least 20-30 minutes. So, I ordered once I got there.

For starters, I placed my order at 5:30, I didn't receive my food til 7-7:10. I placed my order through Yelp and arrived to pick my food up about 35-40 minutes later. Once inside I was told online ordering was not available so they had to take my order inside....okay? The lady at the counter said "oh that must be the grub hub order that's calling, yeah the tablet isn't working, sorry." If online ordering is not available then why is it an option or why is grub hub/yelp not notified to cancel orders? Okay, that's fine too lol. Nonetheless, I placed my order inside and waited another 15-20 minutes..I get my order and am tolddd "we out of fries, we gave you onion rings though". Looolll okayyyy.. I, nor the person I was with eat onion rings. As we are discovering this, a worker pulls in the lot with bags of fries from Kroger. Great I guess. We start eating on the burgers and the taste was mediocre and that's being nice. The cheese maybe? Very odd taste. 4/10. I love a good burger but Jake's, Keller's.. hell, Wendy's would have been better. The staff wasn't rude or mean during this experience so that's why I gave 2 stars and not one. The lemonade was trash too. Sighhhh.

To simply put it, this burger wasn't for me. It was a hunk of meat put on a bun. It was as if your 8 year old wanted to make hamburger's for the family. No seasoning, just a hunk of thick dry hamburger on a bun paired with frozen fries. I'm sure many people love the burgers like this but my palate wants a bit more. I like juicy, I like the burger to have the same thickness all the way around. I did like their kool-aid and lemonade options, they were very good!!!

Shout out to Wingfield's There burgers are TOP TIER. The absolute BEST in Dallas Texas. I have had alot of Hamburgers in my lifetime and one of the reasons they are the BEST is because these Burgers make you feel like you at HOME and you can't taste that home feeling in a restaraunt. Please go get you a Byrger and support this Black owned Business you will not be disappointed I promise. Thank you Wingfields for making me feel like I'm at home.

Finally made it here, and the burger was as good as everyone says. It's huge, juicy, and packed with flavor. Definitely a messy, two-hand kind of burger, but totally worth it. There was a bit of a wait, but that's to be expected. Not a place you go for speed, but if you want a great old-school burger, it's worth the trip.

Wingfield's Breakfast & Burger Mr. ChimeTime on TikTok led me to this experience. He reviewed this location about a month ago. This is hands down the most meat I've ever ate on any hamburger. If you're looking for that one of a kind experience. Do yourself a favor and check this place out. Now the parking is small and you do have to wait but it's worth the experience. My suggestion is don't get the triple me unless you are a competitive eater or willing to share that burger with someone who has their own bread to make their own hamburger lmao

This burger reminds me of 5 guys. It's is big and fresh and a little pricey. Definitely worth it and there's always a line.

Okay the burgers are big and juicy! The are seasoned well! Definitely in my top 20 burger places I have been in. They are cooked to order. So, no matter if you call in give your payment information, your burger will not be done when you get there. The onion rings are greasy. This is why I didn't give a four or five. Why am I calling in and you aren't cooking my food? It is crowded. Please don't think you are coming in and sitting down. Please don't think the service will be fast. Leave your attitude at the door. The barstools are for show. It also is hotter than fish grease on the inside. The staff is friendly and I know with all those people coming in they are tired.

I love these burgers! Had my first one yesterday at the Texas State Fair and it was the best I ever had! Funny thing is I live just a mile away and never knew about this place until now. I cannot wait to have another huge Cheeseburger! Great job guys!

No breakfast here, just burgers, but seriously one of the best burgers of all time! Giant patties and juicy to the point of almost being too juicy. I can't wait to take my burger-loving son. Keep in mind that it is take-out only. This place is a gem!

Best Burger I have ever eaten in Texas, and it's not even close. My Wife says it's the best burger she has ever tasted. The place is small, but serves giant burgers out of the kitchen. The service is AWESOME, very friendly ladies. You feel like Family instantly. This burger is as FLAVORFUL as it's gets and you have been warned, this burger is so juicy, you will get burger juices on you. This burger will make you turn around and drive back to order another Burger, no joke.

CALL AHEAD to place your order or you will be waiting a good 30'ish minutes and the parking is TERRIBLE- very small lot for the amount of business they have. We parked at a nearby business to avoid having to deal with blocking people in and letting people out constantly. The building itself is small with no place to sit and eat. Be prepared to take it to-go! We ordered 2 combos, bacon cheeseburger and double cheeseburger. We asked if everything came on them and were told yes. We asked for no onions. The double cheeseburger was made to order and the bacon cheeseburger was missing lettuce, tomato and pickles. I was eager to try the fries because someone else said they were good. I ate 3 fries. They were kind of soggy and tasted like old grease. Even ketchup couldn't save them. I was surprised to hear they only had lemonade or kool aid but we went with lemonade. SOO GOOD!! It's the perfect amount of sour and sweet. Better than Chik-fil-a! BUT... it was HOT. It finally started to cool down about the halfway mark. Then it was Perfect!! On to the burgers.... They are HUGE! Not super flavorful or juicy, but pretty good. Once my boyfriend shared some of his lettuce and pickles with me, I was happy. Lol Overall... I would definitely eat there again. Prices are very fair. I would just do a burger and drink, no fries next time. I would make sure to say "add lettuce, tomatoes and pickles", instead of "no onion". Try it if you're in the neighborhood!!

Tried this place with a friend and found pro's and con's, but worth 3 Stars. Pro's are you won't walk away hungry. I couldn't even finish my single burger. I also liked that they toasted the buns well. Con's are limited parking, no seating, a wait on food, onion rings obviously frozen I only ate 2 and not a lot of seasoning on the meat. There soda machine was also broken when we were there. If I was in the area I'd eat it again, but I wouldn't drive out of my way for it.

Straight to the point. Hands down, no peer, no comparisons, the best burger ever in my life. This was a zen experience. I imagine someone doing shrooms feels this good. This is a burger you get a hotel room for because you are cheating on your ex favorite burger spot. This is a burger you buy swimwear and take on a vacation to Bali so it can just be the two of you, candles, a romantic beach...stop it burger... no don't stop it. I usually put service at the top. Um. They could have been rude af to me and I would have apologized, begged for forgiveness. But service was good considering they were short-handed and I went at the lunch rush. Get here. $10.35 for a single meat bacon cheeseburger. At first I was like, that's a lot for a burger. Mid first bite. I decided after I finish, going back to give another tip. I tipped well, but still not enough for that burger. Went back, no parking so next trip, tip will truly honor the experience an tastebud joy they gave me. Spots in the hood, but it's chill, rustic, tiny joint, with flavors like a skyscraper. Burger patty an inch thick after cooking, bigger around than a large bun. One burger can feed two hungry adults, no lie. I couldn't finish it and that hurt my heart. Bye Yelpers. I need a minute to reflect.

The burgers are huge. Made fresh so you have to wait, but not long. It's worth the wait! Burgers are juicy and perfect. Onion rings are fresh and hot. Service is great. Staff is friendly. Food was brought out to the car.

My son and I loved it. I could not finish my burger. Seasoned well and my fries were good. I would have liked more lettuce, next time I will ask.

I have called three times to find out if I could bring in a nice bottle of wine to go with their hamburgers. Each time I was told to give them my name and phone number and the owner would call me back. I never got a phone call back. This tells me that follow through is not important and that they already have enough business. The pictures looked good, but when an employee can not deliver to a customer what they say they are going to do (three times), I can not be concerned about how many other littles things could go wrong. I was looking forward to it, but "The fruit never falls far from the tree."

BEST BURGER IN DALLAS!! I cannot believe I have gone this long without having tried this little hole in the wall, hidden gem. They only have burgers in the menu. The single patty is HUGE. They are seasoned so perfectly. They have NO seating and it's very very very tiny inside, so you order to go. I went on a Friday during the day, around 1pm and there was no wait to order. Our order took less than 10 minutes to come out. The parking lot is small but since there weren't many people there when we arrived we didn't have a problem with parking. I have not stopped thinking about this burger since I've had it. Highly recommend!

Great place. One of the few places left that still tastes like it did 30 yrs ago when I was a kid. The burgers are legit the size of a Mondo Burger

LEGENDARY!! Freaking... LEGENDARY! Totally worth the 45-minute wait!! A Dallas staple!

We'd heard so much and were really excited about this. I don't know whether or not the burgers taste just like they did 30 years ago like everyone says, but they don't taste good. We ordered medium rare and they were way well done and dry. The patties are way too big to be that dry and unseasoned. Fries were greasy. They forgot our onion rings and when we went back they lied about refunding them before finally just giving us a new order. They weren't inedible, but we wouldn't go back.

S U M M A R Y I've had this place twice, and I haven't liked it either time. Burgers are my favorite food but this place is a letdown. It feels like you're eating a Mondo burger (GoodBurger movie reference). And I don't like the proportions. T A S T E Both times, I got a single bacon cheeseburger combo. That's because they're single patty is the size of a double or even a triple patty at other burger joints. The burger is grilled and tastes like you got it at a cookout or a picnic, which I like. You can also choose whichever condiments you want for no extra cost. But, I just don't like how big the patty is. It's way too meaty in comparison to the amount of bread and everything else. Also it was under seasoned. The fries are nothing special, and in general I don't drink soda or fountain drinks so the drinks were of no use to me. S E R V I C E Service can be a little intimidating, they aren't super friendly but not mean either. It's very transactional. You tell them what you want, pay and wait for your order. A M B I E N C E Simply put, the place is run down. There's nowhere to sit. It's a relatively small parking lot and it can get cramped pretty quickly. This is definitely a to go order type of place. P R I C E 13$ for Bacon cheeseburger combo. R A T I N G 3 stars off. Even though the price is right, I just don't like the burgers. So not only can I not recommend it I wouldn't come back.

You won't find a better burger however here's some pointers that I wish I was told about this place -your order will take 45-60 mins so call ahead -entrance very small, only enough room for 2 people so be prepared -doesn't appear to be in the friendliest neighborhood so get your food and go..lol -masks required to enter in -no adequate parking, be prepared -this place is busy so check to make sure your order is right before you leave, I ordered 3 double bacon cheeseburgers and they forgot to put the bacon on them which costs an extra $5 per sandwich ($15 total!) ..for that...I deducted a star ..didn't notice until I was 10 mins back on the highway headed home

Hate to say it, but this was with out a doubt the worst burger I have ever tried to eat. The fries were good, all things considered... I ordered ahead as many reviews said, but when I arrived the employees were unable to find my order. The manager attempted to get my order together, but the rest of the employees looked at me and out right refused, by action, to serve me. Over 12 times the manger ordered her employee to fill my drink, every time the employee refused. Eventually I was told to wait in my car, and my. Food was eventually brought to me. After over an hour of ordering. Hoping the wait was worth it, I dove in. This was the most over cooked, dry, poorly seasoned, and disgusting beef patty I have ever tasted. Worse the looks I received from the staff left no doubt I was treated poorly because of my perceived "race"; as several other customers were served before me. Very sad in 2022

Really GOOD big ol burgers only down side it takes a very long time to receive your order. TO-GO only. They forgot the cheese on my burger I didn't want to go back for it.

Here you'll find one of a kind burger with Texas size patties. I mean .... so delicious.... everything a burger should be! Loved it. Can't say enough... Right combo of veggies and condiments they way I ordered it.... I got my order in no time. . I am sure you have heard of @wingfields if you are a local ... especially if you are a foodie.. Richard Wingfield went from teaching to burgers when he started years ago. Once you taste his food - you'll be glad he did.

Okay .. so yes this place has bigger than usual burgers. and today they are out of fries BUT has anyone noticed the cleanliness? I went in and seen flies flying around. Yes , I understand it's summer and hot as heck but it Doesn't look good. (I was grossed out) floor, grill, walls etc need to be cleaned. Maybe expanding to bigger location would help as well. (It's tight) and with this pandemic going on u have to wait until it's your turn. (2 @ a time --inside). Today's forecast .. in the 100's. Standing outside after work when it's your 1st time experiencing Texas weather sucks. My fiancé ordered anyways and this is what the single patty looks like.

This place is severely underrated! Best burger I truly have ever had and it's so huge! And such a good price too. The woman working the front is really sweet as well. The front area is small but it's such a quick grab to best eat on the road.

Went to Wingfield's for a huge burger. What I received was an ok and poor customer service. We walked in and no one had mask on, the place was empty and everyone just looked at us but did not provide assistance. When we asked if they were open, they replied yes. the burger came out later without napkins and the guy who delivered the burger looked surprised when I asked for napkins. There was no one in this establishment with a hair net on. It's like it went down hill. Lastly, inside looked like chaos with stuff every where.

Best burger I've ever had, if not, in my top 2. You taste great-quality meat, and not the fat and definitely not greasy. The kid in the blue shirt gave me an attitude when he had my order in his hand, and wouldn't ask me what number I was. I even asked him more than once what order it was and he didn't respond. Idk if it was because I had a mask on, or it was my first time there (earn my stripes?), but I only hope that I wasn't treated like that because of my color. One of the other guys asked him what number it was, the kid responded, and then I responded by saying that it was me. He didn't even look at me while he handed me the bag. I really don't know what that was all about but I'll forgive it because the rest of them treated me great. Everyone else treated me like family and I'll go back. I might go back tonight, it was that good!

Parking: I had to bypass the restaurant 3 times to find a park. Ended up parking next door, behind a car it seemed they were selling. You will be parked behind if you pull all the way up, because other people are coming in waiting on their food too. Parking 1/10. Customer service: no one was rude- but I do wish they'd just say 45-hour wait if there are big orders. A little bit of gossip, I overheard... 3/5. Wait time: 0/5. If I'm quoted 25-30 minutes, I expect to give a 5-10 min grace and it's "ok" but this wait time was what is going to make me not come back anytime soon. Cleanliness : 1/5. I think a new building would be nice. It needs to be cleaned in there. And it's cramped. Food: 3.5/5. Expected more seasoning. Priced, well I paid $15 for a fry (which I won't order again- nothing special about them and couldn't eat them all anyway), bacon cheeseburger (huge, honey you hear me? Bacon was DELICIOUS), and kool-aide (you cant leave Wingfield's without the kool-side). The burger, I *almost* couldn't eat. I would never be able to finish a double (which is $15 by itself). Beginning of review: In all fairness I did call back and make an edit to my order, adding fries and a drink to make the burger a meal, so maybe the fries is what's taking so long... edit: no, that wasn't really why. Keep reading. 3:55 i called. It's a cell phone. They didn't answer. Probably busy. Called back and got someone at 4, so I ordered just a bacon cheeseburger. She told be 25-30 minutes. Again, I was quoted 25-30 minutes over the phone. It took me that long to get there. 2 person max on the inside, so I patiently waited because I just knew my food would be ready. Went in and paid- she told me it would be a 5-10 min wait, and asked what car I drove. Then told me someone would bring it out. I took my drink, and went to the car. It was taking a while, so I decided to stand outside of the restaurant so he could find me- because I had to park next door... I eventually went BACK in.. because at this point, I've waited almost an hour, it was hot, and I don't like being around a whole bunch of people if I don't have to. I politely asked about my order (4:56pm). She ended up giving me someone's patty, I believe. She said they were busy with a lot of call ins, walk ins, and Uber orders. She told me I could wait inside. From the conversations I heard, they only had one fryer working. So that's what was taking a while. There was a huge order of about six burgers +, and that was also what was taking a while. When you call, you may hear 30-35 min wait. The phone host says she staggers times like that so everyone won't be there at the same time, but one of the runners exclaimed that even when they say that, they still have to wait. I got my food, finally, and bounced. 5:03 pm. One hour and 3 minutes of waiting when I quoted 25-30 minutes. If I ever go back, I'll arrive late picking up my food, and hopefully it'll be ready... not going anytime soon though. I live too far out.

So don't get me wrong, this is a great burger and if we lived closer we definitely would frequent it. Couple things, parking is AWFUL but it is worth the wait despite my grumpy vibes writing this review. 1. The young man who brings your food out to the car didn't see us so he assumed we left. NOT. So we waited at least half hour and then moved our car over 2 spaces and it was like magic, the kid says "you left" - ugh. Anyway, this is a food review so let's get to it. 2. Bacon burger- great flavor and very messy. Forgot to mention they didn't provide even a single napkin... so yes, he is wearing the juice. The burger is huge and filling and very tasty. 3. Fries and onion rings have a bacony flavor- they were good. 4. BLT was delicious and mammoth. The bacon is great quality. Again, no napkins so I now look as though I'm wearing a mayonnaise polka dotted shirt! Lol. Yes, this is a grrreat place but I would put it up there with Kenny's Burgers all day long. We won't be making a special trip to come back again anytime soon, but by all means if we are nearby down the road we would absolutely return... with our own roll of paper towels!

Been in business for 39 years under same ownership. I've been going here for over 30 years and it's always great. Unlike any burger you've ever had. Thick and juicy and fantastic flavor. The fries are also great.

There is a 30 minute wait for this one burger. No one's here but that doesn't mean a huge order wasn't placed prior. Sooo we wait. I did it its everything and more.... the flavor to die for. A must try. Will be back again and again.

I was so excited to try this place. Everyone raves about it at work. I read the reviews and everyone raved about it there. I placed the order through grub hub and went to pick it up. It was a 40 minute wait (+/- a few minutes). I didn't get the notification that it was ready for pick up, but when I walked in the order was sitting on the counter. It smelled like raw sewage inside the building. There were flies buzzing about in the kitchen. The young man in the kitchen was not wearing gloves nor a hairnet. As well, it was hot and everything was covered in grease and dust. Some of the best hole in wall places aren't the cleanest, so this wasn't necessarily the issue. The fries were soggy! Covered in grease. Limp. Cold. I can not fathom how they thought that was an appropriate thing to serve. The burger was not fresh, at all. The bacon was undercooked and the bread tasted stale or otherwise? Sour? Overall, I will not be returning and I'm upset I wasted $13.

My husband is Oak Cliff born and raised and had been telling me how great Wingfields was for years. We decided to finally check it out and... wow! Seriously such a great burger. Lol! I ordered us both the burger and fry combo, and it was the best burger I've had in a while. You can tell that the meat made to make the burgers is very fresh, and the bread and condiments are fresh as well. Everything is made to order so be prepared to wait on your order (we waited about 20 mins). Wingfields is and will always be my go-to spot for a great burger.

Amazing burger!!! FYI Cash only and be prepared to eat in your car. But definitely worth it.
