Pretty good for a Nashville Chicken sandwich. I got the medium and it was delicious. I also got a hot tender and it was pretty spicy. Got the 50/50 fries/tatters small which were a big portion. The mac and cheese needs some work but it works. Would buy again, also get 20% off on Yelp or Doordash

Google
We ordered their Crispy Chicken sandwich, one in #2 spicy and the other in #3 spicy. I feel like the spice level are about the same and it’s a good kick. The chicken was super moist, there’s a nice big slice of pickle, coleslaw, and sauce! We ordered a large tater tots and IT WAS A LOT but still very good and crispy. I’d definitely recommend giving this place a try!

Google
The chicken was bomb, everything else was fine. Wow, this was a TON of food. I ordered the Hillsdale club sandwich, a quarter spicy fried chicken, side of mac and cheese, and side of broccoli caesar. I got the food delivered. The fried chicken was fantastic. Crispy outside, juicy inside, just the right amount of heat to that Nashville style breading. It was served on a slice of white bread and topped with pickle slices. The pickles totally made it, cutting through the fat of the chicken and brightening the dish. The sandwich was humongous. The chicken stuck out both sides of the bun, and again, was fantastic. The other parts of the sandwich weren't bad but it was more a chicken burger than a club sandwich in terms of ratios. Honestly, there's nothing wrong with the sandwich, but just get the chicken and let it shine on its own. The mac and cheese was nothing special, I would have liked some bread crumbs on top or something to give it more texture and more flavor. It was just kinda one note. The broccoli caesar was fine, it was what it sounded like. I'd definitely get this chicken again!

Google
Spicy chicken wings are so delicious. It comes with tasty & crispy fries. Chicken tenders are too big and the breading is a little tough. Overall, the taste of the food was great, but the price is expensive compared to Popeyes or KFC. They’re located in a nice mall, maybe that’s why...

Google
It was a good chicken sandwich in a nice location. This was the first time I went to a spot where the spice level was not determined by how much they added , rather, it was a difference in their base for spice. I ended up ordering the medium, which I believe was a habanero spice blend, and it was good. They were also vegan friendly, which is great for those who want to experience a good chicken sandwich. If you're looking for a good meal, this is a good place to go to. The lady working there was nice enough to give us a free extra spicy(their hottest blend which had ghost pepper, some 3rd pepper I can't remember) due to it being our first time there. Let me tell you, that was HOT. It's not to be taken lightly. I have been abusing myself with spice levels for years, and that one was the first to get to me in a long time. Be warned fellow spice enthusiasts.

Google
Considering that spicy chicken is their thing, Winner Winner definitely pulls it off in that department. The meat is succulent and well fried or baked. They are never dry and thick cut. However they can definitely improve what goes around the chicken and the brioche bun. The coleslaw felt "old", the sauce somewhat was separated from the entire concoction, and yes it is a food court but it kind of feels like they throw everything hastily in a box. Tasty for sure. And rare spicy with chicken sandwich. Proper.

Google
The chicken itself has been spot on every time I've been. Don't walk up thinking the spiciest isn't spicy cause it surely is! But the chicken is always good if you can handle the heat you've chosen. Don't run away just yet as you can get it with no spice too and enjoy it like everyone else! I tend to go for the dark meat chicken meal and it usually comes with sliced white bread, pickles, a side and sauces. -- It doesn't quite compare to Rib Shack's fried chicken (call ahead cause it takes time to make) in San Bruno. There's no competition for that fried chicken, for which I also reviewed. -- The sides are usually delicious too. But, as I've had to take food out lately, I've had to start inspecting my bag before walking away. I've had a few components to the meal missing. Sometimes a side, pickles, or even a sauce for dipping and dunking is missing. It's disappointing because they're some key elements they help you to enjoy the meal more. The customer service is friendly. The food prep is tidy and quick. There's not a lot of options for drinks but if you'd like to try their overpriced organic slurpees (for lack of better word) give one a go. I can't knock a busy company down a single star though for a pricey drink or sometimes missing a part of the meal. They accommodate my request and give me the missing items quickly upon asking. It's a great restaurant to try and remember when you're wanting some fried chicken nearby that's healthier than KFC. Or if you just happening to be visiting this newly renovated mall.

Google
I got the 3 piece tender meal with slaw, and an extra side of small 50/50 (half tots and half fries) and a small bottle of water andvit was almost $17. I git medium tenders, they have classic, medium, spicy and extra spicy. The medium is too hit znd I can't eat them. The slaw isn't very good either. Expensive lunch considering most is going in the trash.

Yelp
Tyler Gipson the cashier was so very friendly. He took my order with a smile, and a good attitude. He asked all the right questions like, "Are you allergic to anything?", "How has your day been?", "What are you doing after this?". I recommend this place not because of the food, or the ambience. No. I recommend Winner Winner Chicken Dinner in the Hillsdale Shopping Center for Tyler, Tyler Gipson. -Zayotven

Yelp
Winner Winner's last day was 1/31/2024 so I wanted to try the remaining items on their menu that I didn't get to try as I did like how crispy their chicken sandos were. I had ordered through UberEats since I couldn't leave work and it was pouring rain outside. I had to take a late lunch to eat and was so excited for the foods (especially the tots & fries cuz I love my potatoes), unfortunately, none of my sides were included. I tried calling my driver but he didn't speak ENG so I was out of luck. I'm so glad I had tried the chicken sandos first because the tenders had such thick batter and were so dry. I had ordered the mild, however, it was spicier than xxx Cheetos (which I can eat)! Luckily I had also ordered milk tea to help calm my taste buds. I did enjoy the fish fillet and the fried chicken as they were crispy and still moist inside. Wishing them the best in their next endeavors and hopefully they improve.

Yelp
My husband and I were happy chicken has come to our neighborhood. No more driving to South City to Love Burn unless we're craving them. Portions were huge and instead of one sandwich for me and one dinner for him, we could've easily split one meal and both had more than sufficient. We each brought half home (unusual for the hubs). This chicken is solid. Juicy. Crispy. Nice folks. And nothing special. Nothing to complain about. It's just that it wasn't particularly flavorful. There was no yahoo! here. My husband's mac and cheese was the same way, acceptable and not flavorful. I had tater tots. They were great! Who complains about tater-tots? Not I! For mall food, it's a fine option. But I don't think you'll find something here that would compel you to go to Winner Winner if you weren't already at the mall.

Yelp
Order: * Fish Fillet Sandwich Pros: * Portion is healthy and flaky inside with a consistent satisfying crunchy exterior. * Tarter sauce on point. * Always friendly at the register. * Fairly priced. Cons: * Nothing significant. Comments: * I don't know another place that offers a fried fish sandwich for the same quality and value.

Yelp
For my husband's birthday week, one of the meals he requested was fried chicken. This is because I don't really eat chicken. But they have a fish fillet sando so we good. I ordered online, meal was made quickly, only weird part was that the order name was under someone else's name. The guy behind the counter and I were very confused. We ended up having to look up the order number to ensure I got the correct meal. Otherwise the chicken and the fish fillet had a crispy and crunchy skin. Neither had any heat to it which was slightly disappointing but nothing to cry home about. Only negative about any of the food was that I wished the cheese on my sando was melted. Would've tasted better. Otherwise good food, so I'll try again. Maybe I need to specifically ask for melted cheese.

Yelp
My mouth literally burned, eyes filled with tears, lips got tingly after tasting the extra hot chicken tenders. It was extremely spicy that it took me solid half hour to come back to normal. Oh and thank god for the Haigen Das ice cream for calming me down. They are not kidding with their spice level. Be very careful. I ordered the spicy chicken sandwich which tasted pretty good, soft yet firm buns, tender and juicy breaded chicken. Got it with fries which tasted good and well seasoned. My friend mistakenly ordered their extra spicy sandwich and tenders. I took a small bit of the tenders and went almost numb for half hour. If you love spicy food, try it. Else, stick to the spice meter. And thanks to the staff that warned us. My friend should have taken their warning seriously. Lol

Yelp
I've been here a handful of times now and it's been pretty inconsistent in terms of the quality and taste of their food. The one thing that is consistent is how long it takes to get my order (usually between 20-30 minutes). I recommend ordering their family meal because even though it takes a very long time, at least its fresh since they fry the entire chicken after the order is placed. I usually will get the Fam Bam (classic whole bird) with large orders of their tater tots and tangy slaw and also the Beverly Hills Chino's salad (don't forget to order their sauces- specifically their ranch and comeback sauce). I haven't been disappointed in this specific order yet, knock on wood, and will probably only be ordering this from now on. Keep in mind it's pretty pricey ($50 for the family meal; about $15 for the salad), but the portions are decent and can feed about 4 people.

Yelp
We love this place! Definitely in the bi-weekly rotation of places to eat. I used to always get the chicken sandwich, but I recently tried the fish fillet sandwich and it's just as good! My husband always gets the chicken tenders, and has lowered the spice level from 4 to either 3 or 2 haha. The spice is no joke!! The tots are super crispy, and our toddler loves the mac n cheese here too. Great place!!

Yelp
Located in the Hillsdale Shopping Center food court. Friendly service and good food. Can get a little pricey but with the 20% Yelp discount, it helped. Ordered the Beverly Hills Chino Salad and 9 chicken wings with 1/2 fries 1/2 tater tots.
google avatar

Yelp
Dry rubbed chicken wings, it's spicy lol so make sure to not order spicy if you can't handle it. Tator tots were super crunchy and my super picky kid loved it. This place is located upstairs foodcourt at hillsdale mall.
google avatar

Anita L.

Yelp
Came here just for a side of fries to appease some toddler appetites. Their small order of fries is actually quite sizable and was more than enough not just for two toddlers to share, but also for two adults to munch on. Not too greasy, hot and nicely fried, we were happy with what we got. Now to come back and try more items on the menu!

Yelp
Pretty fast service and the food tasted great. I went for the leg and thigh with a side. Fries were a ton! I think it was probably enough for two people and that's from a person who loves fries! It's in a mall but worth a check if you are in the area. Loved how clean everything. Was.

Yelp
I first saw Winner Winner Chicken through advertisements on Instagram and their chicken sandwiches looked amazing. I have wanted to try it for years and finally stopped by since it is a bit far for me. Please open other locations... I was a bit surprised that their menu only really has one type of chicken sandwich. From Instagram, I though they had multiple types of chicken sandwiches. A BBQ Chicken sandwich might make sense to add if I were to suggest something. They also have a burger, fish sandwich, tenders, and wraps. There are some family meals briefly flashed on a TV on the side, but it was hard to figure out what they were. I wish the family meals were also on the main menu so you could easily see them. I tried the Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich and the Barry's Bowl as a wrap at the "Intro to Nashville" lowest spice level. It was very spicy, they kind of need a level between Classic and Intro. I would get the no spice Classic next time. The sandwich was huge and looked as great as the instagram pictures, which is a pleasant suprise. It tasted like any other chicken sandwich for the most part with a slaw, pickle and spicy mayo. The Barrys bowl wrap was kind of like a chicken salad in a wrap and ok, but I think the sandwich has more chicken in it and the combination of flavors in the sandwich tasted better. I would definitely come back if in the area now that I know better what I like there.
google avatar

Kimberly N.

Yelp
The chicken sandwich was just okay honestly, nothing special. It was less greasy than many other places, I got a medium and it was the perfect heat, however I wasn't a big fan of the slaw in the sandwich. They give a large portion of fries however it wasn't crispy... overall decent place to grab food at the mall and the service was really good. It's in the food court so not much of an ambiance there, recommend to take it home if you live close.

Yelp
A year later -- WHAT HAPPENED??! Ugh this is no longer one of my favorite chicken places!! I'm seriously crying... they used to serve whole chicken wings that were deliciously juicy and tasty -- now it's these sad dry drummette dings... they've even changed the fries! I'm so sad. Looks like it's gonna be Love Burn for me from now on...

Yelp
I was in the mood for a fried chicken sandwich but didn't want to wait in line at Shake Shack. I placed my order online and ordered the Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich (intro to Nashville) and half & half (half fries & half tator tots). The price for the sandwich was quite expensive but for the size I've received, it was comparable. In terms of flavor, it was just okay. The bread crumbled with each bite I took and the chicken tasted like it was doused in hot sauce before frying. As for the fries, it was seasoned well but not crispy. The tator tots were bland. They must of forgot to put salt on them. I ate 1/4 of the meal and gave the rest to my husband.

Yelp
This place is amazing!! The food was delicious, my favorite part was the crispiness of the chicken. This place makes amazing crispy chicken so if you like crispy chicken, this place is really good. I'm not sure if the ranch is homemade but I loved it, it has a unique flavor. The fries were also good. The half bird is also very crispy and the Mac and cheese was well seasoned! The service was great! The young lady and young man at the front are super nice, friendly, and patient. I definitely like this place more than Chick-fil-A or any other chicken places I've tried.

Yelp
The quality never changes! This dry-rub hot chicken spot in a large mall food terrace is sure to satisfy your spicy needs. Bone-in chicken is now back on the official menu, the one on the wall! We ordered through the official platform, which was understood as GrubHub by the guys up front. What we ordered: Whole bird with two sides (spice level 3)- These prehistorically-sized bone-in chicken pieces are flavorful, but the breast needs some more seasoning. Spice is the dominant factor though, but level 3 is getting a bit less spicier (or our spice tolerances are building up)! Maybe they should add some hot oil to it, as this is a dry rub seasoning! Come back sauce is bomb and a great accompaniment to that already delicious chicken. One to two pieces of that chicken (with a little bit of side) is already filling enough for one person, no other food from the court needed! 50/50 (tater tots and fries)- crispy, piping hot potato bits in a paper bag! These strips and potato balls are seasoned ever so lightly to create a balance between the flavor and texture of the overall dish! Coleslaw (branded as "Tangy Slaw")- not that delicious. Part of it was bland, the other part felt like it was slathered in vinegar. The lettuce was crunchy and crisp though, a sign of its freshness. Comeback sauce- A sauce so epic it deserves its own little section! Sweet and tangy but yet not overpowering. Service wise, the two young men working at the counter were nice. They forgot the sauce packets (not too big of an issue), but they forgot the 50/50 tots and fries! They also only gave one set of utensils (heck, for a family of four?) (Hence, -1 star) Overall, this humble chicken shop in the Hillsdale food terrace is definitely a winner! The food court is always loud, an extrovert's dream! It was less crowded, so it was easier to find a table.

Yelp
Pretty good fried chicken tenders, I would say above average compared to most mall food. They also had beer on tap for $5 so I couldn't resist. Tenders were huge, the coleslaw was nice & crunchy. They give you the items already packed in a to-go box so it was convenient to take home if you can't finish your meal there.
google avatar

Yelp
I'm so sad this place didn't renew their lease agreement. I started working for this mall again and typically I'm use to seeing them open, for years they've been apart of the Hillsdale Food Court. Their menu options was insanely great, they were known for the famous chicken sandwich, tenders and family buckets and serving beer. I'm definitely going to miss the friendly staff and their food. Hopefully Hillsdale brings in another Southern Comfort or American BBQ type food, as I'm tired of seeing so many Chinese type foods (not racist) however there's a Sarku, Panda Express, Kuro-Obi, Palette Tea Garden, and Uncle Tetsu..... Nevermind Flores is going to be taking this spot, funny thing is you literally have El Grulense Mexican Food next to that vacancy. Good luck to Flores, hopefully Winner Winner can open close by San Mateo in the same city for all the advocates.

Yelp
For somewhere in a mall, it wasn't half bad,but also I probably wouldn't come again. Good: - Fast service - ordered at the front and then got my food 5 min later - The Barry's wrap was really healthy - unfortunately, it didn't have that many flavors - I guess that's what you get for getting a meal with "barry's" in the name. 3/5 in my opinion - Portion sizes are big Bad: - The tater tots and fries were overly fried - felt really dry in my mouth too and oily - 2/5 - It's in a mall so super casual ambiance Overall appreciated a healthy option in the mall but wouldn't come again.

Yelp
Asked for classic fried chicken instead got an "intro medium" chicken sandwich. Dry spices did not do justice to this very tough lukewarm chicken breast coated in heavy flour. Unappetizing unseasoned carrot slaw. Pickles smothered in their comeback sauce on lightly toasted brioche. Not for the faint of hearts, this "mildly" spiced fried chicken was numbing on the tongue. Take a pass as this was not a winner. Love their fresh crispy light tater tots as it was the winner of the two.

Yelp
Winner winner chicken dinner anyone? My friend and I went here on a Saturday for lunch around 2:20pm and there was no wait! This restaurant is located inside the food court of the mall, so there were many options for others to choose from. Anyways, we ordered the Nashville Hot Chicken with a side of Fries and the JC's BBQ Chicken sandwich. When we got our food, I was excited about trying the JC's BBQ Chicken sandwich because it came with a special "B's Ranch" inside. Sadly, I did not enjoy the ranch sauce in my sandwich because of how sour it was. That ranch sauce made the overall sandwich too sour, so I was almost able to finish half of it. I also tried the Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich and that was very good. We chose "mild" for the spice level and even that was spicy for the both of us! I'd recommend this place for the Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich! If I go here again, I would ask if I can have a "no spice" level for that sandwich. The chicken patty here was also very big and a little crispy, which was something I like in chicken sandwiches. I would also like to try their chicken tenders next time.

Yelp
"Is it possible that there are no coincidences?" - M. Night Shyamalan Hmm. Am I missing something here? A THREE star fast food restaurant that Yelpers surely overrated at nearly five. Hmm. Maybe M. Night Shyamalan did something sinister to the suburban water here? Eh. So I'm running a few errands at Hillsdale Shopping Center in San Mateo and suddenly mad cravings for a chicken sandwich hits me. I peruse the Mall directory and Winner Winner Chicken grabs my attention... I Yelp it and wow the reviews are off the chart. A weekend hood-rat, but my Tag Heuer screams Silicone Valley on weekdays, I dash on over. Scrambling around Soccer Moms and Joaquin Phoenix lookalike (scary) I arrive to a busy scene... Here's my experience: Winner Winner is definitely a popular spot at the food court. I am greeted by a line which I don't mind since it allows me to peruse the menu. What's not listed on Yelp is the weekend Brunch Menu. I toss out Chicken Sandwich cravings and instead take a chance with Brunch. I choose the Chicken & Waffles (about $14) and House Mimosa (about $3). When all is said and done it's about $20 at the food court. No biggie to me if it satisfies my cravings. And yes, this food court is eerily the Village... but in a suburbanite Shyamalan sorta-way. I stand in another line (yes, it's that busy) and wait for my meal. After waiting about 10-minutes it's ready and with House Mimosa poured in plastic cup I find a seat away from all the teenagers & seniors. My verdict? One word: underwhelming. One word: overpriced. One word: hmm. So yes, I ate "almost" everything I received, note it wasn't horrible, just somewhat generic tasting and chicken on the dry side. No words for the House Mimosa which almost got me drunk after two lip sips LOL. No taste in the mimosa, but it was hella potent :3 Maybe drank half and tossed the rest! Hey, at least it was only $2.99! In the end, I have no regrets coming to Winner Winner Chicken in San Mateo. For me, nothing was memorable, however at least I tried this highly rated business. Just wasn't what I expected. Perhaps I just ordered the wrong? Then again, San Mateo is the childhood home of a Mr. Tom Brady (Serra High)... and what would Tom do? Hail Mary to the end zone and toss the Mimosa at M. Night Shyamalan's face! Pro Tip: if you still want to try it there's a 20% Yelp check-in coupon. Tbh I don't even recall using it:/

Yelp
Five stars for the crispy fish sandwich, a simple delicious combo with the best and crispiest tater tots and get the homemade ranch. The chicken is always delicious here and they've got the spicy thing down. I had never tasted their fish sandwich, but was craving some fish and chips while I was running errands at the mall. Food is made to order which is a must for fried food. Price is fair for what you get. The fish is perfectly seasoned and almost greaseless. Tots over fries almost any day. The food court is so nice now and there are plenty of people keeping the place clean. Don't sleep on the fish fillet at this chicken shop. I wonder if you can adjust spiciness for this sandwich?
google avatar

Vik K.

Yelp
Came to grab a quick bite in the food court and tried the greek salad with chicken. Salad was good but the chicken was very dry. I then asked to change the chicken and give me a thigh piece, which was crunchy but completely lacking in any flavor. Service was good but food was lacking in flavor My friends got the chicken sando also complained it was too dry. I think the problem is the wasy they cook their chicken, need to adopt from chic-fil-a where they "pressure cook" the chicken in peanut oil
google avatar

Erik A.

Yelp
Seriously this place throws down some crazy good chicken. Friend and I wanted a quick snack so opted for the basket of tenders with tots. They were kind enough to split the heat so my friend and I could enjoy our preferred spice level. She got a 2, I got a 3. It was hot enough to stick around and make me sweat for a bit, but the flavor was out of this world. Tender. Juicy. Flavorful. Spicy. This chicken had it all. Do yourself a favor and do not skip this place!

Yelp
I ordered dark meat only received white meat only . As Santa Claus I was targeted to by this place. I don't recommend this place at all.

Yelp
We were in Hillsdale and picked up lunch here. I ordered a fish sandwich. It was pretty good. One thing I have to say is that their fries and tater tots are crispy! It's crunchy even after it has been out for awhile. The portions are huge. We were happy with our lunch
google avatar

Yelp
We wanted to grab a quick bite and ended up choosing Winner Winner. We ordered the 6 piece chicken tenders and 50/50 side of fries and tater tots. I was surprised with how tasty the chicken tenders were! The spice level was just right - I would recommend Intro to Nashville spice level if you want a slight kick but don't want it too overwhelmingly spicy. The chicken was very tender, and they also gave a TON of fries/tater tots. This order was more than enough for 2 people! The only fault was that the fries & tater tots were nothing special and a bit plain. The combo also came with a plain, untoasted piece of bread and I'm not sure that it added much value to the meal. Customer service was great - the person who took our order was very friendly and made the ordering process pleasant. Overall, I would definitely come back to Winner to try other menu items and other spice levels!

Yelp
Smash burger was tasty and prepared well, very cheesy with good sauce. Tots were really bland and the oil tasted old. Packaged very awkwardly so very hard to eat. Service was very friendly. At the end of the day, for a few dollars more I could get a cheeseburger and fries at The Refuge around the corner.
google avatar

Yelp
Time for a short review. Good chicken. Bland cole slaw. Next time, try the fries.
google avatar

Boward M.

Yelp
It's been awhile since patronized and they've really spiraled down from previous visit . Chicken was disappointedly scrawny, the leg was the size of a malnutrition wing and dry as hell The thigh looked ok but likewise disappointing dry No wonder patronage was lacking...needless to say I won't be back
google avatar

Roe T.

Yelp
Chicken was crispy, spices were crazy accurate so if you are not use to your mouth and tastebuds on fire, do not get the #4/5. The fries were delicious as well. Thank you for letting me try the flavors before I purchased.

Irene L.

Yelp
I'm always a sucker to try chicken sandwiches joints and came across this while walking around the eatery at Hillsdale Mall. Of course, had to try the crispy chicken sandwich, the chicken tenders, and the tater tots. Got it in mild and it was a bit spicy for me but my bf really enjoyed the spicy level and seasoning. The chicken itself was more on the dryer side maybe because the pieces were bigger than normal - so the edges and the outer parts tasted better than than the middle. Very interesting coleslaw in the sandwich, which I'm not the biggest fan of unfortunately. Tater tots were mediocre. Glad I was able to check this off my chicken sandwich list but it wouldn't be something I would crave for.

Yelp
(Delivery) - Nashville hot chicken sandwich was better than average. - Smashburger was plain.

Yelp
TLDR: Good for a mall food court. Doesn't hang with the big boys. 11/11/21 Thursday ~12:00pm Worth the price ($14.20 after tax)? Worth a dedicated trip? No. Worth the wait? No wait. (3.0/5) Crispy Chicken Sandwich - Level 5 Extra Spicy: If you're a pepper head, you can handle level 5 no problem. A well constructed chicken sandwich, a tier above your standard Popeyes and Chick-fil-A options, a tier below your Hotbird's, Chick N' Bros, and The Bird. This sando uses a fried chicken breast instead of a thigh. The resulting meat was a little dry and chewy, nothing terrible, but there is more juicy/tender fried chicken out there. The patty itself was a reasonable size. Good beading to meat ratio. Good crunch. The sando comes with a nice, soft, toasted bun. The bun itself had a red color, not sure if only the spicy versions are like that. It held up to the chicken oily, sauce and slaw. Comebacks sauce was another take on a thousand-island-adjacent dressing. The slaw added a good crunch. The long-cut pickles were a nice touch. Nothing on the sando was bad, nothing was spectacular either. Other: - Second floor of the Hillsdale mall. Located in the food court. Nice and clean. Lots of seating. - Lot of mall parking.

Yelp
Located in the Hillsdale mall, this place was poppin - def. longer lines and more appealing menu than some of the other options in the food court. Menu can be a bit overwhelming, but basically you're ordering the chicken and deciding if you want it as their infamous sandwich, tenders with sides, or diced up on a salad. I got the tenders medium spicy with loaded mashed potato, the tenders were tasty overall but not as juicy inside as I thought they would be, also wasn't that much crunch to the exterior. The loaded mashed potatoes were bomb though! It was mashed potatoes at the bottom, topped with their house spicy nacho cheese, bacons, chives, and their house tots. My husband & sister got the infamous chicken sandwich - my husband got spicy level and thought it was good but wished they put more into their buns which was basic (not brioche). My sister got the extra spicy and still felt like it was too weak, but do note this girl lives off Thai chilis for bfast (I died when I took a bite FYI LOL). Her buns were also no bueno though - they were soggy and fell apart halfway into eating her sandwich. Also wouldn't recommend the Mimosa here, it's pre-mixed which is def. a dud...sadly no bubbles and pretty much flat OJ.

Yelp
The workers here are super kind and really attentive. I came here late at night after shopping right before they were going to close. The cashier answered all of my questions about the different spice levels. 3 is cayenne pepper and 4 jumps to ghost pepper. I wanted to be adventurous and so I decided to get the level 4-spicy! IT IS SPICY. I would definitely try the 3 first, my friend got the 3 and it had a decent amount of kick to it. The 4 was also really flavorful and they balanced well but it does come with a kick. Everything about the sandwich was great! The chicken was not dry at all , the breading was crispy and the seasoning was kickin. Also, they did not skimp on the pickles. I had pickle and toppings in every bite as well as a warm toasty bun. They let us try all of their sauces. My favorite was definitely the ranch but their home made honey mustard was really unique and had a horseradish flavor to it. The beer that they had too at the top of their menu was super refreshing as well and great to have paired with the sandwich. Another thing that they have which I thought was super thoughtful is hand wipes!!! They had them by the register where we were offered some when we picked up our food.

Yelp
Winner winner was unfortunately not a winner for us. My friend and I got the Nashville hot sandwiches with 50/50 tater tots and fries, I got the Hot spice level and my friend got Medium. Before ordering they warned us saying the Hot was a mix of ghost pepper and habanero and honestly, it wasn't all that. There's like a very minimal kick to it but no spice/taste of spicy seasoning and the Medium just straight up didn't have any spice to it. The tater tots were fresh and crispy, but the fries were kinda thick and overloaded with salt. Their ranch is pretty good but the comeback sauce had a weird taste to it. Overall super mid.

Yelp
Nashville hot chicken is the new wave and I knew I had to try this place based off of the name alone! Naming your establishment Winner Winner Chicken is bold but they told no lies! I'm a big wimp when it comes to any type of spice so when I coming to Nashville hot chicken spots I usually get mild or medium (NEVER PLAIN). I decided to try their chicken tenders in the medium spice along with their winner winner mac n' cheese. The chicken tenders were nice size tenders, crispy on the outside and super juicy on the inside. They were fried to perfection, had the right amount of spice and really good flavor. I liked that the tenders came on top of white bread but all that I was missing were pickles to go with it. I paired the tenders with two sauces which were B's Ranch and Comeback Sauce. The ranch was good and I believe it is made in-house. But the Comeback Sauce was really good, very nice flavor and went great with the tenders. If I had to compare the sauce to anything I would say it's reminiscent of the cane's sauce at Raising Cane's but with a different twist. The winner winner mac n' cheese really surprised me, it looked plain but was far from it. It was very creamy and had great flavor, it was like a garlic mac n' cheese and I loved it. I really enjoyed this place and will definitely be back and I might slowly work my way up the spice levels if I don't chicken out.

Yelp
Winner Winner, Chicken....yeah, I know catchy and something that's been ingrained into our pop culture minds. This is how you capitalize on branding momentum you don't have to pay a cent for. Brilliant. I'll pull myself back to the review now. They're located in the renovated food court section of Hillsdale Mall in San Mateo. For my first visit here, I tried their Barry's Bowl Salad((Crispy Chicken, Shredded kale, chipotle roasted sweet potato, bell peppers, red onions, avocado, tomatoes, toasted pumpkin seeds, jalapeno cilantro dressing. Vegan, gluten-free). I was surprised at how well put together and how well the different flavors and textures worked around the centerpiece, which obviously is their crispy chicken bits. Although, I have only tried them out once, I will be back.

Yelp
I have walked by Winner Winner Chicken, located in the spacious food court of the renovated side of Hillsdale mall, countless times and yet I didn't try them out until this past April. The line does not seem to be ever that long so ordering should be a breeze. There is no kiosk so you'll place your order with a human at the cashier stand. For my first time, I tried their Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich(Crispy breast, tangy slaw, Sonoma pickle and their comeback sauce). I also ordered their 50/50(Half fries and half Tater Tots). I was actually mightily impressed with the chicken sandwich. It was not too breaded and the chicken was moist. The Tater Tots brought me back to grade school. Since they're located in a large food court area, there should be plenty of open seating and I love how tall the ceiling is so even though with crowds returning to shopping areas, you should not feel stuffed in.

Yelp
Was in the mood for a snack after a long day in Hillsdale - got the 2 piece chicken tender meal which is quite substantial. It comes with bread, a side of you choosing and sauce. I could have easily been full with just this meal for lunch. I have to say the spicy flavoring (I got medium spicy) is incredible and works really well on tenders. The chicken was cooked perfectly- crunchy outside and juicy inside. I only wish they had an outpost in the city so I could easily go back for more!

Yelp
I was at the mall with my kids and decided to try this out. Got the 2 piece tenders and tater tots. Generous portions and tasty food. Probably would go here instead of shake shack for chicken options.

Yelp
This chicken spot is located in the middle of the Hillsdale Mall food court! Very clean, modern, and classic place that stands out. I absolutely LOVE chicken sandwiches and have tried a couple around the Bay Area, so I had to give this one a shot. They had a simple chicken sandwich, a fish sandwich, and also the hillsdale club that comes with avocado, a sauce, and coleslaw, oh and bacon (I removed the bacon since I don't eat pork). The chicken comes with different spice levels from no spice to super spicy/hot. I asked how spicy is very spicy, and he said it's pretty spicy so I stuck with medium. First of all, service is great! The guys are super friendly and funny. The service was quick as well! Once I got my chicken I noticed how HUGE the portion is. The chicken was FAAAAAT and THICKKK. So just by the looks of the chicken it was appealing and definitely looked appetizing. After I took my first bite, it didn't seem warm? And the sandwich easily fell apart. I was a bit underwhelmed by the coleslaw, and the medium spice didn't have enough spice as I thought. Also the breading of the chicken fell off... The avocado and sauce wasn't bad, but overall put together it didn't seem that amazing. I heard the regular chicken sandwich without everything is actually better. I tried my sisters chicken tenders and tots, and those were a solid 7/10. I rate the hillsdale club a 4/10 for the taste but definitely 7/8 out of 10 for the looks of it. I'll probably come back and try something else.

Yelp
Chicken wings with fries and tater tots?! Count me in! When I walked into the Hillsdale Mall, I wondered what I'd eat for lunch and was unsure of what to get. As soon as I saw the sign "Winner Winner", I knew that this place was it. Seeing a sizeably long, but not too long that the wait would be miserable, I decided to stop by and give this place a try! With their customizable boxes of wings and sides, I decided to go for their 3 wings boxed set with a choice of side--obviously fries and tater tots! I couldn't decide which sauce to try and asked the server for their recommendation, to which they pointed me to their honey mustard sauce. My order took about 10 minutes to complete and everything was steaming hot! The person who handed me the order also provided me a moist towelette as well, which I found absolutely ingenious and considerate, seeing that my hands would be covered in oil after chicken consumption The chicken wings were okay. As much as I had hoped for the chicken to look as good as it tasted, the flavors were lacking :( The saving grace to the wings was the honey mustard sauce that gave the chicken wings some tang and flavor. The fries and tots, on the other hand, were absolutely crispy on the outside and hot for a substantial amount of time! I really like it when my fries are fluffy on the inside and crispy on the outside, and this place nailed their frying time/preparation on their potatoes! I also found a slice of plain white bread after finishing my chicken. Was the bread supposed to be eaten a certain way? I wish I knew sooner, as it was difficult to eat to bread since it was dry and had no sauce. I wish I knew what the bread was for before finishing all of my wings.

Yelp
Winner Winner Chicken Dinner! Extra fries, no exercise! Finally, got to try this place after seeing many people post about it! Crispy Chicken Winner Sandwich (Medium Spice) 8/10 Supreme 50/50 half tots and half fries 10/10 The chicken sandwich was perfectly seasoned. Sauce, slaw, and bun were perfect and to my liking! However, the chicken was not crispy as I thought it would be. I feel I could've handled spicy since the medium was just a small kick. I enjoyed the fries! It was crispy and delicious! The fries were definitely the star of the meal here!

Yelp
Hillsdale at its finest with this new chicken sandwich place taunting me every time I come around lunch or dinner time to grab my meal and continue shopping. I ordered the fish fillet sandwich which doesn't come with the levels of spices like their chicken sandwich but it's all good because Randy (one of the owners) has now gotten me addicted to their comeback sauce which really works well with fries and the sandwich. The sandwich was fried to perfection, the fish inside was still juicy and had a really good crunch to it. Not too much sauce to drip out the burger but also not so little to make it dry. Yes I have simple requirements but sometimes simple is all you need. But back to their comeback sauce, as Randy has explained, it's their homemade sauce which is essentially their own blend of chipotle + thousand island + jalapeños. It's more of a mild spicy so good for everyone to try! You can't go wrong if you use this with your fries! I ordered online so I didn't have much interaction with the employees but I really enjoyed the vibe I got when picking up my food and talking to Randy. You can feel his passion and love when he's just talking to a random customer. Thank you Randy for introducing me to your homemade sauce and your positivity! I'll be back very soon.
