Winterstellgut

"It is worth making the journey here for the stunning views of the surrounding mountains from the sun-drenched plateau some 1 000m above Annaberg – and they are even better from the terrace. At this 16C farm building, dine in cosy, rustic-style nooks or on the light-filled veranda. The kitchen is open all day, serving traditional regional and seasonal cuisine that draws on the odd international influence, such as Kalbsrahmbeuscherl mit Semmelknöde (veal offal ragout with bread dumplings) and lobster gyoza with an Asian-style bisque. Alternatively, opt for the set menu. Everything is made with good-quality, fresh ingredients, including preserves. Tip: House-made goods can be purchased to enjoy at home. For overnight stays, there are a few attractive guestrooms and suites, plus a natural pond for bathing." - Michelin Inspector

Absolutely Magic in all ways. Great location. Great interior. Staff perfect fun and professional. If in the area you at least have to see it.

A pleasant hotel with a great atmosphere and natural bathing. Unfortunately, the breakfast was not as good as I expected. Although they were made from very high-quality ingredients, there was no highlight (e.g. baked pastry, homemade spread...)…

Beautiful quiet place with amazing views, cute pond filled with Koi carps suitable for swimming, rooms are large, nicely furnished and tidy. Most relaxing place.

Such a nice spot, scenic view of grass fields and mountains. Food was delicious, lot of yummy homemade ingredients and dishes. The waiters were polite, spoke very good English and were at our disposal the whole time. Really nice experience, for every recommendation :)

If you want a special, quiet, relaxed place to get away and decompress, this is the place. You have to want to get there and once you do you will understand why it was worth the the trip. Epically beautiful place in an equally beautiful location, with a staff that is uncompromisingly committed to great service from top to bottom. Be sure to see the award-winning Haflinger horses after your award-winning meal.

Absolutely fabulously tasty! Everything we ordered was really delicious. You don't really get in here accidentally, but you need to know the way, but it is really worth the extra mile. Also the staff and service are just perfect. Highly recommended.

Yelp
We booked a table for a friday night and as it was a warm summer night we were thankfully seated outside because the view is stunning! The whole property is absolutely beautiful, the buildings are down to earth farm houses but with a modern, stylish but still homey touch. So going there all the way from Salzburg city is already worth it just because of the scenery! But we were here for food so...as my main I had duck breast with cabbage and pearl barley. The duck's skin was crispy and the meat was cooked to perfection, the cabbage still had a crunch to it and was well seasoned and the barley was creamy and flavorful. Their wine selection is great as well and consists of Austrian wines only, which fits the whole concept behind the restaurant. They use mostly locally sourced products of high quality, especially when it comes to meats and fish, it's definitely quality over quantity here! For dessert I went for the apricot dumpling with lavender ice cream. My whole life I have never been a big fan of apricot dumplings but I ordered them because I felt like it and let me tell you it was the right decision. I have never had apricot dumplings this good. in. my. life. (and I grew up with that dish) The dough was exceptionally fluffy and soft, the apricots juicy and sweet and the lavender ice cream with its spice balanced out the sweetness of the apricots. Together with the crunchy breadcrumbs it was heavennn! Service was super fast, really friendly and knowledgeable All in all: excellent food, absolutely beautiful scenery and property, great service and great food ethics, local and seasonal!
