A Beloved Baltimore Scoop Shop Busts Into D.C. — And More Openings - Eater DC

"Essential pie chain Wiseguy Pizza opens its seventh D.C. area location on Thursday, April 25. All-day Wiseguy caters to late-night bar hoppers in its newest neighborhood with service until 3 a.m. on weekends, midnight on Thursdays, and 11 p.m. during the week. Reston, Virginia-based Thompson Hospitality snapped up Wiseguy in 2022 and has added three new stores since. Its New York-style pies continue to be built with California tomatoes, Wisconsin cheese, virgin olive oil, and Parmigiano-Reggiano, with offbeat toppings like Korean chicken and paneer tikka. Available by the slice or whole pies, which are more massive than most (18 inches around). There’s also gluten-free, 10-inch pies like a truffled mushroom variety." - Tierney Plumb

UPDATE: ordered again tonight to give them another try. they delivered someone else's order completely. this will be my last time ordering from them because they can NOT get it right. on top of that, the pizza was undercooked (complete opposite of last time) it's clear they need to work on quality control across the board. my second time ordering here and the pizza was so burnt i couldn't eat it. shocked it even left the kitchen-straight into the garbage.

Although we did not dine in, the atmosphere of the restaurant was very quaint and inviting, and the staff was also very pleasant despite such a short interaction. The pizza was delicious! Not super greasy, and a great price considering the size you get! Even after waiting 30 minutes to make it home it still tasted great! I recommend their Whitestone pie if you enjoy a good white pizza.

Wiseguy Pizza in DC was the perfect late night stop during Pride weekend with quick service, great vibes, and even better slices. The crust was crispy, the toppings were fresh, and the menu had something for everyone. With a lively crowd and colorful energy, it fit right in with the spirit of the weekend.

The pizzas arrived cold and the marinara sauce was missing for the pepperoni rollers. So, I called their customer service. They said in verbatim “We don’t take responsibilities for the temperature and the missing since. We can give you the general manager’s number. You can call them by yourself”. The tone was harsh.

Love thin crust pizza so this was right up my alley! The margarita pizza was super refreshing & light, a great low lactose choice!! The chicken tikka was also delicious, more on the creamy side. They also have a yummy veggie option for those with dietary restrictions! Ambience is cozy, small & casual! Will definitely be back for a late night bite.

The mushroom truffle pizza was really good! Friendly service and space was clean and cozy but had limited seats inside in case it rains.

Great food, location, and customer service. $4.5 for a pepperoni and 5.45 for a specialty slice of pizza. I would highly recommend for a quick lunch and a variety of unique pizza like paneer chicken or Nashville hot chicken The manger is nice and workers are friendly.

Stumbled upon this place while walking around DuPont to kill time. The pizza selection here is amazing — there was a good variety and unique options that are hard to find elsewhere (Korean Chicken, Chicken Paneer, etc.). There’s of course the classic toppings. Pizza by the slice is a little cheaper than We, The Pizza and the service here is much better. I never got his name, but the main guy manning the place was like a giant teddy bear. He was friendly, welcoming, and incredibly helpful. I would go back just to try the other options of toppings. There’s a few bar seats inside and lots of seating outside. Definitely recommend swinging by this place for a slice or buy an entire pie to take home.
