The 9 Best Korean Fried Chicken Spots In LA - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"There are many reasons to go to Galleria Market in Koreatown: fresh seafood, an entire self-serve banchan station, and more skincare products than we know what to do with. But the best reason of all is Witch’s. This easy-to-miss takeout counter near the supermarket's cash registers serves KFC so juicy you’ll need a bib, and skin so crunchy it audibly crackles when you bite into a drumstick (they’re one of the few places that lets you order just drumsticks). They mostly stick to traditional flavors, but along with their original chicken, we love the tangy-sweet “KBBQ spicy” with a side of mayo-y secret sauce for dipping." - cathy park, brant cox, sylvio martins, garrett snyder

Google
We were craving Korean fried chicken and discovered Witch's Chicken hidden away inside Galleria Korean grocery store with delicious KFC. They have a cute store front and brand highlighting the location as your mom's favorite fried chicken place. It was not wrong. I noticed while we were waiting there were customers young and old, couples, friends, single people that would either dine there or get take out chicken. They focus on chicken wings, drumsticks and tenders but there are also sides like fries, potato salad or Mac and cheese. We got the wing combo which includes 5 wings, side of fries and potato salad and a soda. We also ordered two drum sticks that were huge. The food was delicious. We got original flavor for the wings and the garlic soy spicy for the drumsticks. It was spicy. All in all, a good recommendation to satisfy your Korean fried chicken crave. Note the dining area is really small as there were maybe 8 tables adjacent to the storefront in a food court type setting inside the grocery store. One major plus, parking is free and convenient in this plaza.

My friend recommended this place for lunch. I ordered chicken tenders (small), paid and waited 15 minutes to pick up my order. I initially thought I would have it once I get home, but the smell of the chicken was so good that I had to sit to try it. It was fresh out of the fryer, crispy outside and tender inside. I finished a piece and picked another. After two pieces I was completely full, and there were two more pieces! This small chicken tender is good for two people!! The dipping sauce was tasty…and wishes there was another one! I recommend this establishment and would definitely return for more chicken tenders.

Hands down the best Korean fried chicken in LA. Get the Soy Spicy and Soy Mild, the fries and the green sauce

Ordered the soy garlic to go and have to say the crunch on the chicken held while I commuted for approx 20 mins. Liked the rice cakes that came with it to switch up the textures. Next time I would try for some more spice.

Google
This is located in the basement next to the Korean market and is well worth a visit. There’s a great selection of different chicken dishes with a variety of sauces and all are delicious. If you’re in the neighborhood this is a place not to be missed 🍗🤤

Google
The old lady who took my order was really rude. I think she can understand English because I saw her chatting with a white male with a big smile on her face. However, she ignored my question and spoke Korean to other people while I was talking. (I’m an Asian woman lol) I guess I have to be white or Korean to be taken seriously. I would’ve let it go if the food was good, but it was below average. Very disappointed.

Google
I like my fried chicken boneless and they do it perfectly! Every piece is a perfect bite size cooked and seasoned so good. Love that their chicken comes with rice cake. Can’t get enough of it. Recommend K.BBQ and cheese snow flavor. When K.BBQ’s hotness kicks in, cheese snow will make it go away.

Google
INSIDE THE SUPERMARKET!!! I had Boneless and Wings with KBBQ Mild Sauce and Seasoned Fries. Everything was delicious and CRISPY. I would definitely recommend :) since you are in a supermarket you can easily get your favorite drink to accompany your meal. Also please be aware it will be like a 20+ minute wait if you walk up and order. It's like that anywhere.

Yelp
I ordered half fried chicken and half sauced chicken last week, and it was amazing. The fried chicken was perfectly crispy on the outside, with plenty of juicy and tender meat inside. The sauced chicken was a perfect balance of sweet, salty, and slightly spicy flavors--it's officially my life-changing chicken. The sides were also delicious, especially the potato salad and pickled radish. My coworker and I shared one whole chicken, and there was still some left--generous portions! The owner was so kind, and the prices are very reasonable, especially during these days of skyrocketing costs. I highly recommend this spot to anyone craving great chicken!

Yelp
Excellent. Despite being hidden away in a shopping center in K-town, we actually were lucky enough to find out about this place from a coworker and now we try to get it delivered quite often and sometimes people will make the 5 mile drive over there to pick it up and bring it back. The quality of the food is excellent and flavors are pretty tasty and the staff couldn't be nicer whether it's on the phone or in person. We enthusiastically recommend you try witch's chicken.

Yelp
Good chicken. A lot of people come by here to get the chicken though. I think that the skin is crispy and separates well from the meat. I could use it thinner but honestly it was pretty good. Spicy was spicy for me though lol. I would order it again. The daikon is on the sweeter side too. This is my girlfriend's favorite place and I can definitely see why. Not over sauced, cripsy skin, good meat too. 8/10. I've had better but not too many places better.

Yelp
good korean fried chicken!! this place is inside a market so it's hard to locate if you have never been there before. not ideal for dining in. better for picking up. i had the mild soy chicken and it was pretty good!! it's a little on the saltier side so i was drinking a lot of water but the flavor is definitely there.
google avatar

Janette N.

Yelp
Updating to mention that Witch's chicken continues to be in my weekly ubereats rotation because of how consistently good it is. The snow cheese & spicy soy are my current go to flavors. As of early 2025, this is my favorite korean fried chicken spot in LA!
google avatar

Yelp
Placed an order for pick up and the wings were crispy and hot. The restaurant is located inside the market but parking is easy and free. Easy to order over the phone, and just pay and go. These are the best wings I've ever had. It's not greasy and its so tasty. It comes with a side of pickled radish. Not a large variety of flavors but the quality of each you can taste: korean bbq, soy garlic, or original. Very friendly staff and a clean facility.
google avatar

Yelp
This is one of our more frequent fried chicken places. It is located inside of the Galleria super market. So it's not the best environment for dine in. However, their chicken's pretty good. But I also like being able to do my grocery shopping while I wait for the chicken. We normally get the original and the soy garlic. The last time we got it, I would say the original ones were better than the soy garlic ones, even though I'm normally a soy garlic girl. Overall, pretty solid option!

Yelp
I've heard a lot of good things about Witch's Chicken from a few friends for so long, and I got to try it at last. It is located inside the Galleria Market on Olympic and Western, so parking is easy in the structure. Not sure if I am correct, but I remember seeing a different fried chicken place here back in the day, which must have reopened under Witch's Chicken now. I placed a phone order for pickup for whole fried chicken with spicy sauce on the side. I was told it would take 20 minutes. Pickup was a quick and smooth process; it took less than 30 seconds, to be honest. The smell of fried chicken was killing both of us in the car, hoping it wouldn't get too soggy by the time we got home. We got home in about 20 minutes or so, and to my surprise, the chicken was still hot and crispy as ever! It was so crunchy, moist inside, and seasoned pretty well. I loved it! The sauce was pretty good too, but even by itself, it was solid as it is. It also came with two small packs of pickled radish, which is definitely a must when eating Korean fried chicken. This was surely a plus for us! We also got an order of French fries, and they are very generous with the portion. It was a lot of crispy goodness!. They were a little more thick than I personally like, but as long as they are not soggy, I will enjoy them. My boyfriend and I devoured it and talked about wanting more of Witch's Chicken days later. Next time, I want to try the real Korean fried chicken with sauce. I think I like them slightly more than just plain fried chicken. I can't wait to come and get my next order.
google avatar

Ted A.

Yelp
They no longer have the chicken sandwich. That was the main reason I like this store. The chicken is still good, but I can get excellent Korean fried chicken much closer to home without the Koreatown hassle. Please bring back chicken sandwich

Rigo C.

Yelp
The wings were delicious. We ordered the KBBQ Spicy wings and Soy Garlic wings, both were full of flavor. Definitely would recommend. Cashier was helpful and sweet when ordering.

Yelp
This restaurant is location in a corner of a market and there's a couple places to sit down. I placed an order around 1 pm and they seemed pretty busy. I saw them handling a bunch of orders and I got mine in around 20 minutes so the wait wasn't too bad. I got the soy garlic chicken. It was extremely fresh, but there were some parts that were tough and others that had too much fat of them. I loved the flavor, but besides those 2 negatives, this place is pretty good.
google avatar

Bryan H.

Yelp
I was at home and didn't feel like cooking, so I was scrolling through DoorDash, and I happened upon this place, as I was searching for chicken places. I love fried checked, especially Korean fried chicken, and this place had at least 4 stars, so I put in an order for the half soy spicy and half K.BBQ wings, with a side of fries and the K.BBQ sauce. It was so delicious! The wings were nice, crispy, and hot, even after traveling in the car! The fries were made well too, after having to heat them up in the air fryer just a tad. I loved the sauces too, the spicy soy definitely had a kick to it without overwhelming the flavor, and the bbq on the other one had a nice sweetness to it. I would definitely get this place delivered again, or even eat there if I'm ever in the area.

Yelp
Korean fried chicken is the best! The batter and the double fried chicken is so crunchy and delicious! This place is a little hidden gem in a Korean Grocery store - Galleria Mall. The service is good, just a pick up an order or you can eat it there. My kid loves this place. The only downfall is the whole chicken is on the smaller side and for the price of $30. Ambiance is relaxing and chill, nothing really special. It's inside a grocery store. I ordered original whole chicken ( it still does have a little kick). They give you some Korean pickled radish as a side and some dipping sauces. Tip - call ahead or order before grocery shopping because it takes a good 15-20 mins.
google avatar

Estele K.

Yelp
Wow wow wow. Oh my. Fried chicken was so juicy, it was seriously melting from my mouth... It was so good I wanted to eat the whole chicken myself but too bad I had to share it with my husband We also ordered honey dijon sauce and sweet and sour sauce for $0.50 each. God, if you love Korean fried chicken just go here. Phone call pre-order so you don't have to wait 15-20mins. They get a lot of orders fyi. Ambiance is inside the market so you can't physically eat there. I definitely recommend here!

Yelp
The BEST fried chicken in California!!! I went yesterday for my birthday as I had heard about Korean fried chicken and had been wanting to try it for quite a while. It's located inside the grocery store in the Koreatown Galleria and 100% worth the trip! We ordered everything, the drumsticks, the wings, popcorn chicken and the tenders, the seasoned fries and the sweet potato fries, and every single thing was perfection! The pieces were massive and the Korean BBQ flavor was delicious but hands down the soy garlic was my favorite! Everything was crispy on the outside And juicy inside, exactly what you want ! Already looking forward to our next visit!
google avatar

Ken P.

Yelp
Wow their chicken was so crunchy and delicious even after being out for like 30 minutes (order pickup). The sauce was sweet and salty (just the right amount) and it worked really well with the nuts and rice cakes. Definitely will be ordering from here again! Impressed!
google avatar

Julie J.

Yelp
Ordered half soy garlic and half yangnyum (kbbq?) wings and original wings too. Both my husband and I thought the original wings were the best (surprisingly?!?!), soy garlic was decent, and I believe we both didn't really like the yangnyum. The original one was crispy and the flavor had depth even though it was the original! I end up craving it sometime but LA is so far away which makes me sad... if I were to go back to LA I'd like to eat again!
google avatar

Rolando C.

Yelp
Wow! That's the best way to start off about this place. First, the service here is top-notch from the frontline staff to the ownership. Kind and welcoming. Then the food came. My whole team ordered a variety of wings and everything was epic one after the other. This little nook of a restaurant is the spot to come to. You won't regret it!

Yelp
Yall - this place is so good! I have yet to find better Korean fried chicken in LA. The chicken is always cooked to perfection with such delicious sauce. I have only ever tried the spicy k bbq flavor and it's so good. The servings are huge. The boneless meal comes with tteokbokki in it while the bone-in does not. Their fries are also beer battered which are SO delicious but the last time I went they were just serving regular fries. I hope it was not a permanent change but I've been too scared to order the fries again bc I don't want them if they are not beer battered. This restaurant is within the galleria mall. I noticed some other reviews take away a star because of it but it's so fun. You order, and then get to shop around. It is an Asian grocery store so just go in thinking if there's anything you need for your house from there while they make your meal. They also recently added seating (though not much) near Witches Chicken but I usually just take it home. Servers are always super nice and food is cooked quickly!
google avatar

Anhvy T.

Yelp
Ordered UberEats on here! The chicken was still crispy when it arrived and the flavor was great. I got the soy garlic and spicy kbbq flavor- I prefered the soy garlic. Would definitely order from again when I'm in the mood for KFC!
google avatar

Glory A.

Yelp
Two stars because the chicken was good and crispy but I don't think it's made to order because it literally took fifteen minutes for them to execute. We all know fried chicken, especially whole chicken doesn't take fifteen minutes. Just breasts alone takes ten minutes to be done perfectly. This place is one of those place where you order a WHOLE CHICKEN (2 breast, 2wings,2 legs, 2 thighs) they cut the breast into four pieces and make it seem no one will notice that the two thighs is missing. Talk about fraudulent. The place was dirty. Even if it was self serve sitting area, it's still your place to look after. Health violation. Overall, won't come back. I suggest Chicken day, Noya, Kokio, Papa Chicken and Kyochon. You'll get your money's worth. I think it best for people to go elsewhere. Not worth your money.
google avatar

Gina N.

Yelp
This is my second time ordering chicken from Witch's and this is hands down my favorite chicken place in LA. The first time I went with drumsticks and the second time I went tenders. I am not a huge chicken fan because of the texture and consistency, but the amount of meat on the drumsticks is insane! The tenders are my favorite because it is all tender white meat. My favorite is the garlic soy mild but also love the Korean BBQ and spicy tenders. The tenders keep well in the fridge the next day and I like throwing it into a package salad from the store to liven it up!
google avatar

Alan V.

Yelp
If you are looking for korean fried chicken this is a good spot. The flavors are really nice and the cook on the chicken was well done. I would say their spice is on the heavier side so even though I ordered medium it was still very spicy. Also even though I was the only one there the wait was pretty long. I would say if you are in the mall it is worth a try.
google avatar

Zoe T.

Yelp
Some of the best Korean Fried Chicken (KFC) in Ktown in the most unassuming location! It's hidden inside the large Galleria Market on Western. When you go down the stairs, go to the right through the checkout areas and it's in the corner next to a sushi/kimbap place. I highly recommend getting the K. BBQ flavor, either Mild or Spicy (I'm not good at handling spice, so the spicy can get a little overwhelming after a few pieces because the heat builds). I tried the boneless wings last time, and they were really nice and juicy with a few pieces of rice cake too. Order at the window and be prepared to wait ~15-20 minutes for your order to be ready (sometimes it takes longer if they are busier). We usually just stroll around the market for a bit and come back to pick up our chicken order. Pro Tip: You can sit upstairs in the food court area of the mall indoors or outdoors and fully enjoy your fresh chicken.
google avatar

Ashley Jeeyou L.

Yelp
The quality... has become worse. The old lady in the front was very rude, not even smiling, or even showing kindness. Yall put less than the BARE minimum of the red sauce. We eat for the flavor and the SAUCE. This is just another level of petty, no? The owner must've changed. I will never be coming this far for your food. We also paid EXTRA dollar for the sauce
google avatar

Alex M. ..

Yelp
Look at the glistening on those wings. The Koreatown KFC (Korean Fried Chicken) market is very hot. Almost ever block has a spot but Witch's is absolutely in the top 5. They might not have the variety of flavors as other places but what they have they do extremely well. These Spicy Soy Wings are the perfect balance of umami, spicy, and sweet. Complimented by a perfect crisp with tender chicken on the inside. It's right inside the Galleria supermarket so you can set your order then shop around for 15 min then come back to these delectable wings. What a treat!
google avatar

Jonathan K.

Yelp
I've heard of this place as an underground place to get delicious fried chicken, the first part was definitely true since it's located in the supermarket of a mall The witch's chicken gives you choices of pieces and the ordering was fast and easy Unfortunately the pieces were smaller than I thought for the price, the spicy flavor was good but the sweet soy was pretty mild. The chicken had good crunch but was too dry so I was disappointed at the Korean fried chicken
google avatar

Jae S.

Yelp
As suggested by some friends and seeing it on social media I decided to give Witch's Chicken a try as I was craving some late night chicken. Located in the the galleria mall inside the korean mart you will see the chicken stand. Wait time was around 20-25 minutes to get my order, but spent some time shopping inside the korean mart. Hands down the most crispiest, korean fried chicken i've tried so far in ktown. I was able to split the whole chicken between the onion/scallion chicken + sweet/spicy chicken. Perfectly cooked and each piece was super juicy and flavorful! Definitely my go-to chicken spot in ktown. Prices are pretty expensive in my opinion for a whole chicken. I spent $30 total on my order for a whole/split flavored chicken. Notable Menu Items: Onion/Scallion Chicken (Whole) Need to try their other flavors and sides that they offer here. Parking is free in the garage and proceed to the korean galleria marketplace to find the food stand. They do pickup orders through various apps as well.
google avatar

Grace J.

Yelp
Head to the back right corner of Koreatown Galleria market and look for the restaurant sign of a witch riding a broom with a chicken. There is no dining in option available as they operate as a takeout restaurant. But you can grab your food and head over to the food court on the top floor to enjoy your wings fresh and hot. My friends and I have been on a KFC (Korean fried chicken) tour to find the best Korean fried chicken. I was excited to try this new place that many people have been raving about. We ordered the original wings, sweet soy wings, and seasoned fries with ranch sauce. The sweet soy wings were nicely marinated in a sweet and savory sauce and was my favorite between the two. The original wings were delicious with a solid batter that wasn't too thick. Both wings were served hot and crispy. Their seasoned fries were amazing and went well between the bites of chicken. I would have to give a 7.5/10 taking into consideration the taste, flavor, and size of the wings. It's a solid place for Korean fried chicken wings and worth a try! One thing I wish we knew beforehand was to bring disposable plates, wet wipes, and more napkins if planning to dine at the food court.
google avatar

Liza P.

Yelp
My go-to for Korean fried chicken! I definitely need to branch out more but their K bbq and Soy Garlic chicken are fantastic and that's what I can surely recommend. Amazing price-quality proportion, there's always a side of pickled radish that's perfect to balance out the flavors of your fried chicken. One star off only because of the location, it's inside a Galleria Market food court, which makes it a little less convenient, but totally worth it! Just order and go do your groceries so that it's ready by the time you're finished
google avatar

Louis C.

Yelp
I'm always up for some good fried chicken. So naturally I couldn't pass up an opportunity to try this place when I saw the reviews on Witch's before I stopped in to do some shopping at the Galleria Market. My expectations were pretty high based on all those 5 star reviews. I ordered half original and half mild spicy bbq. The mild spiciness had just enough kick that it didn't set my mouth on fire. The order was ready in 15 mins while I grabbed a few things from the market. The only down side was there was no sit down place to eat it right right away so I had wait until I get home to enjoy the chicken. The traffic home was bad and I couldn't resist the smell of the piping hot chicken and the fried garlic. I decided to try a piece of the chicken. I highly recommend against doing this in the car because one bite and all that crunchy crust exploded sending lots of little pieces flying over all the cabin. LOL. But, boy it was tasty. And the fried garlic tasted like roasted garlic; it was mild and delicious. The drive home took 40+ minutes. The original chicken was still crispy but the bbq sauce made the other a little soggy. Next time, I think I'll just take it upstairs to the food court and demolish it before I leave.
google avatar

Tamara B.

Yelp
First time trying Witch's Chicken. Difficult to find at first, didn't realized it's located inside the Korean grocery store at the address they provide. Good overall was great my husband and I enjoyed it. He got the spicy soy chicken and I didn't get the spicy but the soy ginger chicken. Definitely enough to eat for one person. I will be going back there
google avatar

Thessa V.

Yelp
Never disappoints.. I pop in here every six months and it's soooo good. Keep it simple and keep it uppppp!
google avatar

Erika L.

Yelp
Ordered a 20 piece of the Garlic & Spicy Garlic wings. These are the crispiest wings I've ever had. Each wing had the perfect crunch. The spicy wings were 100% manageable, nice slight kick. The regular garlic were good but tip - the juice falls to the bottom of the box, make sure to dip the wing in it before biting. All the flavor is in the juice. Solid wings.

Monica G.

Yelp
Every time I want good spicy crispy wings I order from here , I got this order from Postmates but it still arrived in great conditions . I got the garlic man and cheese and spicy soy wings . Wings were delicious as always and so was the Mac and cheese
google avatar

Casey B.

Yelp
Good Korean fried chicken in kind of a fun location--right inside the supermarket. For clarification: it's not in the mall. It's literally inside the grocery store.

Ruby H.

Yelp
First time trying cause our neighbors recommended this place. Service was ok, not that friendly but the food was pretty good. Price was about right for the whole chicken half garlic & spicy chicken combo we ordered.also comes with pickled daikon. Definitely would come back again for the chicken.
google avatar

Katie J.

Yelp
The original drumsticks were perfectly crispy and super juicy. The thing lacking is the flavor. I had to dip each piece into the spicy ketchup to get the flavor to match the quality of the texture. Make sure to ask for extra sauce! Go up to the food court rooftop patio to enjoy. Spacious, with lots of tables and shade.
google avatar

Billy M.

Yelp
Service was excellent and hands down THE BEST KOREAN FRIED CHICKEN! huge connoisseur on this subject and was so happy to finally say ..THIS IS THE BEST!
google avatar

Alina A.

Yelp
My favorite KFC place. The chicken is always good and fresh, it stays crunchy and crispy as well. The rice cakes are surprisingly yummy. It's in the California Market, so there's plenty of parking and it's free!
google avatar

Serena L.

Yelp
I've heard about this place a few times on TikTok and finally decided to give it a try. Hands down, this is my new favorite Korean fried chicken place. They have large portions, the batter and way they cooked the chicken is perfect, and don't even get me started on their soy garlic seasoning. I ordered it via delivery and it still showed up piping hot and crispy. I'll definitely be back to try it IRL.
google avatar

Kristine O.

Yelp
I love korean fried chicken and this place definitely hit the spot! It's located inside of the Galleria Supermarket now, in the corner next to the cash registers, not in the food court. I got the 10 pc half and half of the sweet soy mild and the kbbq mild (about $20 after taxes). I don't have the best spice tolerance levels myself, but I'll probably try the spicy versions next time for a little extra kick (so if you can't handle spice, the mild flavors are very good). Anyway, the wings had great breading and were very flavorful. I think I liked both flavors equally, so definitely recommend getting the half and half! It wasn't crowded when I ordered, but the wings still took about 15 minutes, so I guess they're made to order. They have a couple of tables located next to their stand that were very clean (with a packet of hand wipes on each table), or you could probably go up to the food court if you need more seating. Overall, I'll be looking forward to shopping at Galleria again so I can pick up these wings on the way!

Yelp
Kept seeing this in my tik Tok fyp as I kept searching for some Good crispy flavorful chicken well let me tell you!!!!!! Omg so good! The guy over the phone was so helpful with placing my order I got a whole chicken half and half (spicy and non spicy) and 10 wings (spicy) when I arrived home the chicken only last for 10 minutes and it was gone! So crispy and so much flavor. I will be back soon!!!!!! I'm glad I work by this area so I can stop by anytime highly recommended!!!
google avatar

Rebecca B.

Yelp
The chicken was amazing!! Super crunchy and the fries were very good as well. Highly recommend! As a heads up, it's inside a grocery store.
google avatar

Jin Y.

Yelp
I've been coming here for so long and even if they raise their prices and the service isn't always the friendliest, I am loyal to this place. I still think it's the best in ktown and at its price point. I love the little extras. The dakganjjng comes w fried tteokbokki and the og crispy comes with deep fried garlic. The fries are out of this world.
google avatar

Taylor K.

Yelp
Christy flavorful chicken. We are always impressed by witches chicken. It's conveniently located inside of a market. We recommend placing your order and then doing a little shopping while they prepare your food! The staff is always super nice and they keep their place clean and organized.

Lis B.

Yelp
Inside H mart, the chicken takes 15-20 min and comes out crispy but not oily. Get the secret sauce to dip.
google avatar

Janet K.

Yelp
People rave about it. Wings (original and 2 flavors) were very good. Kept it out all afternoon for new year party and it stayed the same. Amazing.

Yelp
best korean fried chicken in LA! iykyk nut allergy: no nuts in my experience with soy garlic + original + the oil is soy im pretty sure. their new offering gangjung contains peanuts.
