"Los Feliz is in line for a new coffee and breakfast spot today, called WKNDR. The truncated name reads out as 'Weekender,' and comes from Joshua Pourgol, the name behind places like Tacos Tu Madre and Bardonna. Pourgol’s latest place lands inside the former Good Greek Grill on Vermont, next door to the movie theater and just steps from his other restaurant, Tacos Tu Madre. In an effort to not cannibalize business too much, Pourgol and his team won’t serve breakfast burritos at WKNDR, but instead focus on pastries only to start, with heartier all-day far thereafter. Expect a full food menu by March 1, though the restaurant is doing coffee and pastries starting today. The opening drink menu is below. Inside, the small shop carries room for a few stools at the counter, some tight two-tops behind, and some patio seating out front near Skylight Books. Julio Uriarte (formerly of Longshot Coffee and elsewhere) is on to oversee everything including the coffee and tea program, while chef Adrianna Sullivan (Pie Hole) is doing food. The shop is using Sightglass and 49th Parallel for its beans. Expect limited hours to start at WKNDR, with an eventual expansion to 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily. Not that there’s currently any shortage of other places for breakfast and/or coffee in Los Feliz — the neighborhood is among the most densely-caffeinated destinations in all of Los Angeles already." - Farley Elliott

I love this little place. The guys who work here are awesome cooks and make the greatest coffee on the block. To say that this is the most expensive cup of coffee in the neighborhood like the review below states is a lie, I suspect that reviewer has never been to the coffee shop in the neighborhood. The place is intimate yet comfortable, the food is good try the breakfast sandwich it’s really filling and also pretty. There is KOMBUCHA on tap!!! All of my favorite things.

A nice little place to grab coffee - I'm partial to the lavender lemon latte. The folks who work there are very nice and everything is done in a timely manner. There aren't many places to sit - there is a counter with cool stools or a few tables/chairs inside as well as one outside. There is a walk up window if you don't want to go in. I haven't tried any of the food they serve but it looks good!

The most expensive coffee in town. This hip little hole in the wall has some great drink offerings with twists you may not get anywhere else. Their unique inside /outside service model with a walk-up window adds a great touch. That being said, I've never seen coffee prices so high in my life. You can expect to pay $6+ for a cup of pick-me-up here, easy. You could argue the quality is a major factor here, but unless you're drowning in cash, WKNDR is more of a rare treat than a frequent pit stop.

It’s a nice little food location but they where all out of half the menu. You might have better luck when you check it out.

I haven’t ever really wrote a bad review or given a one star but the guy taking orders really got to me I drove an 1hr and 30 min just because I really wanted to try their Japanese pancakes. My boyfriend and I walked in there was no line outside there was no line inside we were the first one we waited for 5 mins and then saw the guy go towards the window and started taking the orders outside and complete ignored us my boyfriend and I felt silly and laughed at each other for waiting in the wrong place and went to make line outside. Then as it was my turn to order there was a group that went inside and waited in the same spot I had been and Instead of taking my order form the outside which is where I thought the line was he decide to skip me and take the order of the group inside. I was so confused because I had been waiting there and nobody had acknowledged us! That was twice they had skipped us! And I was at least able to see the pancakes and I can say I saved my money they were nothing like what I had seen in the pictures they were really small and not fluffy at all!!! I will not recommended this place I felt completely discriminated! But I can say I’m happy that I got to try TACOS TU MADER the corner restaurant the lady was so friendly and the food is great and big

Great vibe and yummy, interesting drink choices. I got a turmeric latte with oat milk and CBD oil. Expensive but worth the every-now-and-then treat.
