Where To Eat & Drink In Fredericksburg - Austin - The Infatuation

"Woerner Cafe is a casual American breakfast and lunch spot just a few blocks southwest of Main Street. Owned by the same group behind Sunset Grill and Belly Up Brew Pub, Woerner Cafe is a reliable spot for whipped-cream-topped buttermilk waffles, breakfast sandwiches, lattes, your typical lunch fare, and a revolving selection of baked goods and desserts. Though the spacious warehouse lacks the intimacy and decor of other restaurants on our list, the cafe makes up for it in ingredients, flavor, and service. Woerner Cafe’s chill atmosphere is a reprieve from Fredericksburg’s busier restaurants, and at a fraction of the price, too." - samantha grasso

Where to Eat and Drink in Fredericksburg, Texas

"The bakery and cafe within the Woerner Feed Store serves up sandwiches, pizza, and salads made with local ingredients from the town, alongside quiches and pastries. Round out the meal with some daytime coffee, shopping in the gift shop, or some beers and wines if that’s your jam. Takeout orders can be placed in person; there are indoor dine-in areas." - Erin Russell, Nadia Chaudhury

The service was "ok" but we don't require much either. The food was amazing and huge portions. My daughter and I could have split the BLAT sandwich and it was packed full of turkey and bacon. But we took the rest to the hotel and had a delicious late night snack. The flavors were so tasty. We will be back to try something else the next time we are in town. The little shop is cute too

My girl's really enjoy their sandwiches I usually get their pizza they could work on their crust a bit and beef up the toppings a bit.

We came here for brunch. It is a very spacious family friendly restaurant. It is also an antique store, bakery and gift shop. Every dish we had was delicious. Considering we were a large party, we were not only greeted but also served perfectly. We will definitely be coming back!

So first & foremost, I want to say I NEVER post “Karen” reviews so this is big for me. My parents, husband, & I come here pretty regularly, we love the food here. However, I am super disappointed in our experience yesterday. Woerner closes at 3 & my mom who just got done with a chemo appointment was actually craving Woerner. Those of you who are familiar with that treatment know how big it is to actually have a craving while going through chemo. & yes, you can visibly tell she is being treated so no, it shouldn’t be too hard to be showing some kindness. We rushed over after her appointment, sitting by 2:40, knowing we had to quickly get our order in. We already knew what we wanted so that wasn’t a problem. The server came out & as my mom was explaining we’ll be in & out & we already know what we want to eat, the server interrupted her asking for drink orders. She skipped taking my dad’s drink order, just rushing through. Comes back out with my mom’s tea, takes our food order, then delivered the food. As she’s delivering the food, obviously rushed again, my dad asked for two boxes (knowing they’d have leftovers & to speed up the process to get out of there). He’s a loud guy, we were the only ones sitting on the patio & he was the only one speaking. She turns her back as he’s asking & continues to walk away, ignoring him & not even checking if everything looked okay. He went to go get the boxes himself after that. I do want to add the food was delivered a little bit before 3. One of our orders was wrong & we weren’t going to complain but she didn’t even come back out to check once we started eating. Towards the end of the meal, her demeanor wasn’t the nicest. Not like it started warm & fuzzy anyway, but it definitely didn’t scream she’d like to keep her customers. I worked in the restaurant industry for 5+ years. Yeah, it can be irritating when people come in before closing, but you are expected to happily serve your customers regardless. You shouldn’t be in the restaurant industry if that’s asking too much. Because of my mom’s situation where it’s already hard to eat & taste food, I’m super disappointed in the service. On top of that, due to inflation, most families have to budget how often & how much they eat out & consider it a blessing to be able to choose somewhere to eat. I won’t be spending it here with this kind of service from here on out.

We ate there yesterday before going to the Crawfish Festival and It was very good. I got a breakfast with hash browns, cheese, avocado and two over medium eggs and wonderful toast. My husband got the Famous Turkey sandwich with the salad. Everything was really fresh, delicious and really fresh. We will be going back again soon ♥️

Went here again on Thursday July 4th. We have been coming here for many years. Most of that time it was in the warehouse next to Carol Hicks, which was a great location. But the new building is greatly improved with the addition of air conditioning! We both love the food here and most often get breakfast. Service is always great, even when super busy. Prices are very reasonable. This is one of the best places in Fredericksburg for breakfast and lunch.

I don't recommend. The soup tasted like Campbell's out of the can and the club sandwich wasn't good. The salad has some wilted bits and the berry mimosa was meh. I really wanted breakfast but we were 3 min past the cutoff time so they were not able to accommodate. On a positive note, the servers were very friendly and they were welcoming to our Great Dane, Winston. (Please give me a thumbs up if you found this review helpful.)
