Wok and Roll Karaoke

My partner and I visited Wok & Roll based on a recommendation. He had sushi. Which he normally doesn't eat. The 1st was fish. 2nd avacado with salmon. This was something new for him. The fish was fresh. Good. Enjoyed it. Now he wants to try other flavors. I had Sweet & sour chicken. It reminded me of The sweet & sour chicken I get at home at my favorite Chinese place. Service was very nice, respectful, attentive.

A recommendation from our tour guide, his choice was in point. Set in the heart of China Town DC is one of is oldest 🇨🇳 restaurants that has a huge menu and popular karaoke nights. You have to be buzzed in and once in, you pass a little bar and are met with friendly smiles. The interior is a little dark and vintage with a fresh 🍣 bar sitting in front of the dining area. I gunsmith settled in their 🍛 Chicken and a big bowl of 🥚 drop soup. Both hit the spot and was not heavy on the debit card. The service was pretty quick and allowed a relaxing lunch break after a big day of walking and touring DC with a big group of teens. The location of the restaurant is very old and very historic as it was the meeting site of the conspirators who plotted Abraham Lincoln's assassination. We know what happened to Boothe but the rest who participated in this meeting were all caught and hanged.

I visited here because it was originally the Mary E. Surratt Boarding House. Infamous for being the the site of meetings of conspirators to kidnap/assassinate President Lincoln. I love visiting historical locations. I was surprised to see it was updated and converted into a Chinese food place. Food was surprisingly great. The place is haunted so just know that heading there.

The food was good (I liked the ramen) The service was okay. The atmosphere was ... funky. One of the patrons adorned a clown mask, revved up his bike (filling the restaurant with fumes, yuck), and rode his bike on the sidewalk. Sooooo, I'd try another restaurant. I heard the karaoke was fun, so I'd try that. But otherwise, I wouldn't recommend coming here.

I went here for the first time last night with a friend and the food is really good. I had the California Rolls with cream cheese added. My friend had the chicken wings and we shared the fried rice. My Scorpion drink had me feeling good. I would go here again, definitely enjoyed myself.

The old, faded canopy at the entry way should have been a sign to stay away. When you first enter, it’s like a pawn shop with entry to the main back area blocked off with a wall, with a locked door as the only way in. Maybe it’s the remains of Covid shields or to keep everybody out? Either way, when you enter, they look at you as if “what do you want”? If you’re worthy enough they’ll buzz you in to enter. There was nobody in the restaurant, and it looked older. The sushi bar at the back was well lit which is good, while the main dining area was more lightly lit. The menu was old, but I was up for an adventure. I wanted to try a few things to get the full experience. Hot and sour was my first appetizer. They gave a good amount, but It was warm and not hot. Maybe because it wasn’t hot it didn’t taste as fresh. It was a little bland, and I wasn’t impressed Egg rolls were the second appetizer. Let’s be honest, they were big, and I don’t know what to make of the flavor. I wasn’t too to fond of the meat, I actually couldn’t figure out what it was. The egg rolls were too big and I think it lost its intended flavor effect when fried because it didn’t cook evenly. Again, I wasn’t impressed Sesame Chicken was the main entree and they gave a huge portion size. But where is the sesame when I got the entree? The sesame sauce was dark and sweet. It didn’t have the fluffy, crispy crunch skin they I’ve been accustomed to, it was just normal chicken. It was ok. Overall the food and ambience was enough to just say pass.

I ordered the Chicken Lo-Mein, and I also ordered The Crab Meat Wontons appetizer and they were both great 👍🏻. The service was good too, and the atmosphere it was abit quite but still nice

A great, fun spot for karoke! The staff are pros and helpful explaining the process to get your room and once there. Their systems are interesting to navigate and they have a huge selection of music but not everything you can imagine which isn't on them vs the music system itself. You can also add songs from your phone on a QR code in the room which is great! 2hr minimum and 30% for tax and tip, which makes payment simple and easy. Would def recommend!

Good authentic Chinese food located in the heart of Chinatown [Washington D.C.] While traversing in DC's Chinatown our tummies started hankering for food and we decided to stop at this restaurant. After stepping inside their main door an employee had to let us in another screened door. At almost 2:00p the restaurant was not too busy and we were seated immediately. The menu had the dishes listed in Chinese with the English version next to it. We ordered a couple of items, just enough to last us through dinner without bringing back leftovers with us. We chose Wonton soup and Combination Chow Mein (Pan Fried Egg Noodle). Prices were reasonable and the chow mein was delicious. Service was fast and attentive. The restaurant is also a karaoke with private rooms so I'm thinking the Wok and Roll is a pun of what they offer LoL ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Review #3655

This is a very popular karaoke spot in Gallery Place and can be very busy on the weekend. Music options can make or break a karaoke experience, and unfortunately this location did not have a large variety of rap/hip hop songs. I hope they consider updating their music selections, or using a different system that allows guest to access YouTube in order to access all types of music. Also, 9 of us were in a 10 person reserved room and it got hot very quickly. We had to leave the door open in order to get air because the room was hot.

I'm not a big karaoke person and would never go to a place like this on my own, but sometimes you just have to go with the will of the group. That said, as far as social situations I'd rather avoid, this one was surprisingly cool. For starters, it's not just a dive bar with off-key singing. They have a genuinely impressive drink and food menu, which made the night way more enjoyable. I wasn't expecting much, but the cocktails were creative, and the food was better than it had any right to be--definitely a step above your average karaoke joint. We also got a private room, and that was a huge plus. Not only did it spare me the awkwardness of being around strangers, but it was also really comfortable. The space felt cozy yet upscale, and it made the whole experience feel less like a group activity I was dragged into and more like a fun night with friends. While I'm still not about to start singing my heart out on a regular basis, this was a pleasant surprise. If you're going to do karaoke, this is definitely the way to do it!

WOK AND ROLL, their soup is delicious. The place is warm and welcoming, with a friendly staff. The cozy decor and lively buzz make it the perfect spot to enjoy a comforting bowl of soup.

We came here for a late night snack. Other restaurants had a long wait, but at Wok and Roll, we were able to get seated immediately. It's a bit concerning that they have an extra door inside with a keypad to enter and exit the restaurant, but I'm guessing they've been burned too many times, so safety first. Prices are quite reasonable for the area. There was a good variety on the menu - appetizers, soups, noodle dishes including ramen and udon, lunch specials, entrees, and sushi. They also have an extensive drink selection. We ordered the crab meat wontons ($9.50 for eight pieces), yellowtail roll ($6.95), and shrimp nigiri ($6.95 for two pieces). Crab meat wontons were fried perfectly golden brown and weren't too greasy. Filling in general was on the skimpy side and the cream cheese presence was faint. It came with a side of hot mustard and duck sauce. Our sushi order was made quickly, but the food is nothing to write home about. It's decent for the price point. Service was kind and adequate. We were checked on throughout the night and the pacing was good. I think the main draw here is their karaoke bar. There were also several pick-up orders in place, so it could be a reliable carryout option.

I ordered delivery from here this week because it was open late and looked to have a nice range of comfort food menu items. When my small smorgasbord arrived I was excited to start sampling: fries, teriyaki chicken skewers and shumai dumplings. Overall, each item was a bit forgettable and I soon stopped eating after a few bites of each. My soda was also missing from my order so that was another disappointment. In terms of portion size, they're pretty generous. However, I ended up spending nearly $50 on these few items I left feeling less than satisfied, so I probably wouldn't order from here again.

I've been to Wok and Roll a number of times always the years and have always been satisfied with my time there, especially when I've gone on Christmas. They have a large menu with options for everyone and the portions are always huge. I typically get dumplings, noodles, or sushi and have never been disappointed. Is it the best in the neighborhood? No, but it hits the spot. Service is usually prompt and food generally comes out quickly, even when they're busy. I have rented a room at the upstairs karaoke studio once. All things considered, the room doesn't cost that much, especially if you split it with friends. The vibe up there can be a little too energetic and dare I say bro-y, particularly on the weekends, but that's usually just in the common spaces. There's a bar where they also offer karaoke if you don't want to get your own room. I went for the first time in over a year recently and they now have an interior door that you have to get buzzed into. It makes me sad thinking that they've experienced an uptick in crime that led them to install this security measure.

Solid late night delivery Chinese, with the cheesy restaurant name. I come to DC for business a few times a year, and I've been staying in the Chinatown area since it's so close to where we work. I've ordered from this spot 3 times now, and each time it's been hot, fresh, neatly packed and large quantities. Now if we're talking about comparing this place to the best Chinese restaurants out there during the day, this is more like 3.5 stars. But for a late night delivery option, I'm more than satisfied. I really like how the wings are packed in this foil lined bag, which keeps them hot and crispy. Plus it's strong enough for you to pour the sweet and sour sauce and shake it up, without the bag breaking. If you find yourself craving late night Chinese and in the area... don't be scared away by their name. Give em a shot.

So much fun! And the food was surprisingly tasty! Not sure what special magic was happening with the chicken wings, but would head back for more even if I wasn't singing. The karaoke rooms were big, there were 1000s of song choices, and the platform was pretty easy to navigate (other than the fact that most recent song entries play first, ie there's no real benefit to building a list). Service wasn't super attentive, you have to do most ordering from the bar, but this wasn't a huge deal. Cleanliness also lacked a bit to be desired. Still, all in all, I'd place this on the list of good stop throughs for a great time on a weekend!

Went there last week there was another locked door inside which was weird. the restaurant has cozy atmosphere which was nice for me the sushi was delicious and i would recommend the dish chow foon. it was on top. on the other hand SERVICE? the lady with bun black hair she was totally ignoring us and was giving an attitude. we asked for a ketchup for 20mins. service turned us down. was actually excited to try it but the service didn't satisfy our needs

I loveeeee their food, it's very tasty and fresh! I find it to be one of the affordable spots for sushi in DC. Though the last time I came to pick up an order I experienced racism and disrespect. There was a large line of individuals for door dash and we could pick up our order. There was no way to get in because of how crowded it was. The we tried to explain to them but they didn't want to let us in nor hear us out! It was a bad experience and I wish they handled their dashing and pick-up customers services differently.

This is a great place to come and eat (or take out). I've had various dishes from this place, including Kun pow chicken and their fried rice.,The other night, Last night, I decided to do Uber eats and have it delivered to my hotel room. After taking it to my room, I realized received the wrong order. This wasn't the fault of the business. My original order included Kun pow chicken, and Szechuan beef. When my order arrived, I received sushi instead! Since I was now stuck with the order, I decided to eat it.. I do enjoy sushi; however, this did not taste great at all. The sushi lacked flavor, and the soy sauce, that was included, had a smoky taste to it that wasn't pleasant at all. Adding more wasabi and ginger root helped. Overall, this is a great place for Chinese food but I don't recommend for sushi. In fact I ate there again today, to nake up for last night mixup. They have great service in the restaurant.

Do not go here unless you want terrible flavorless overpriced food! You also need to take into consideration that at then end of your bill will be 18% gratuity no matter the party size. I spoke to one of the ladies there asking why they didn't have any sign up about this extra charge and she barely could explain it to me but claimed everywhere else did that as well. But no other restaurants we ate at had did my friend and I were beyond upset about it. Would have chosen literally anywhere else to dine for less cost and better taste. We ordered the pork chow foon noodles which lacked any kind of seasoning and the pork meat was mainly fatty pieces. Then we also got the sampler platter which only 2/4 things were good we were extremely shocked by how awful the egg rolls were like what Chinese place can't cook an egg roll properly? The only thing I would get again would be the teriyaki chicken skewers and the virgin daiquiris but not for the pricing. When it came time to pay our waitress was very inattentive during the meal no water refills did however explain things when we asked.

Wok and Roll. Does. Not. Miss. Service: fast and to the point. Strictly business. You are hear to crush Chinese cuisine and take down very strong cocktails Food: way way way better than you'd expect. (Try the sushi. Seriously. You can't find sushi this good at such a low price point anywhere else in the city) Ambience: it's a hole in the wall Chinese restaurant. I've been in here in a tuxedo, and I've been in here in flip flops at 2am after a night out. It does not matter. You're going to get solid food and drinks at a great price.

Came here with my boyfriend, we had sushi. The food was delicious, customer service on point and they even gave us a gift at the very end of our dinner. A hidden gem in DC. The servers are very attentive and the restaurant itself is very pretty

Very fun to do karaoke here with some friends. They allow you to connect ur Spotify to the karaoke device which allows for millions of different song choices. I ordered some fries and they were a bit expensive but the drinks were good. It's a bit loud at the main counter making it difficult to get a room and order food but it's to be expected of a karaoke place.

Came here for their happy hour on a long weekend and was satisfied that they have it even for my birthday. It's my first time reserving a small room and not having couch seating. I've been to my fair share of these karaoke places both in California and in Asia but this is my first time encountering bar seating. I'm not sure if this is to allow for dancing in a small space? The food was very good. The wok and roll combo I thought came with shrimp tempura but apparently it did not. The online ordering system did not work though. This resulted in a lot of interruptions that could've been seamless and allowed us to sing more/better with the time allotted. Perhaps eating while singing = not the best idea? Prolly wouldn't do it again. They also don't have a bell for you to press for service so you have to and hunt for someone. Not sure why this is. A good song selection though.

Wok and Roll karaoke is a KTV lounge boasting private rooms, and comfortable booths, featuring an extensive song selection. If you're partying around DC, I highly recommend making a stop. The ambiance is perfect, and the staff is friendly. This was the highlight of our birthday celebration. Our group had an unforgettable time!

I went for a late night dinner after work and loved it! The service is great, you just need a little patience but they were very nice. The food was seasoned so well and the portions were so large we had leftovers of everything. The ambiance is standard but not too fancy or hole in the wall, very casual.

sushi is awful and the sweet and sour chicken was funky don't recommend the ratio of meat to cream cheese and Avocado. the sushi didn't need to be that big. I ordered it from Uber Eats but didn't actually go into restaurant. but what ever you do just don't get the sushi

Came here for the lunch specials. Even on a rainy day there was still plenty of people here. I got the combination fried rice & a bowl of egg drop soup. The soup was so good! Especially on a cold rainy day. The rice portion was huge, enough for 2 meals. My boyfriend got the sushi lunch special. Sushi is made fresh to order and is decent. We also got a order of chicken wings. They were cooked perfectly! The sauce that came with them was bland, luckily the wings didn't need any sauce. Service could have been better. We had to ask a different waitress for refills. Overall decent lunch spot.

What a pleasant surprise. It's been here for awhile but I've never ever tried it. Honestly if you want good Chinese food in Kentucky you go to Louisville and you go to either Oriental House or Jade Garden. That's it that's all you've got in Kentucky. The rest are pretty disappointing but Egg Roll is pretty good. Oddly their eponymous egg roll isn't that good. It's a pretty small restaurant and I can't imagine what kind of restaurant it was before Egg Roll house took over 10 years ago (maybe even longer). It's not well laid out, and it's the typical American Chinese restaurant decor, gold, dragons, red and black background, lacquered furniture. The owner/cook was out and greeted me and gave me a menu, really friendly, a woman came out later (his wife maybe) who's the host, not super friendly, but helpful overall. For starters, their fried rice was whitish brown, the normal color rather than bright yellow which is the color of almost all the Chinese restaurants in Hardin county. I think they want to give the impression that's it's saffron (yeah right) rather than yellow food coloring. Most everyone sells Mongolian beef, but only the good ones serve on a bed of crunchy fried rice noodles and they do as well. The other dishes like sweet and sour chicken, pepper chicken were okay. The highlight of our meal was the sweet and sour soup. I don't think the whole concept of sweet and sour soup is authentic, but we really like it and the standard by which my wife judged Chinese restaurants. Anyway, Egg Roll House's version was great. They have chunks of chicken in there which kicked it up a notch. I'm not saying it's great Chinese food but if you don't want to drive up to Louisville it will do.

Located in a historical building - where they conspired to assassinate Pres Lincoln. Skeptical about the restaurant the initial thoughts upon entering is a typical hole in the wall - my favorite venues. The customers were interesting and entertaining. Service was good- handled our party of seven easily enough. The typical lazy Susan made sharing of dishes easy. The quality of food was great and quantity more than plentiful. The fruit cocktail beverages were superb - mango was spot on. If you were looking for an authentic vibe and traditional family non touristy Enviroment this is the place.

Open late hours, the food is always great, whether delivery or eating in - the food quality is always consistent and very good. Delivery is consistent and accurate, always includes chop sticks and soy sauce, and has never sent the wrong thing or a partial order, never, and I can't say that about many places. Eating in the service is friendly, orders are accurate and the food quality is very good. The wait staff isn't stopping by the table every 5 minutes to check on you but does come by often enough to refill drinks when needed. Sometimes it takes a little longer to get the check as their pick up window is always busy. There's usually news on in the dining room, pretty quiet overall, no need to yell to be heard at the table, easy enough to get the attention of the wait staff. It can be a little loud later in the evening because of the front door opening so often for pick ups and the street noise comes in, but it doesn't cause any issues with conversations at the tables. Overall, great food, consistent quality, accurate orders for delivery and eating in, friendly staff and a convenient location. No real complaints from me and I've been a pretty regular customer for a few years now.

I love this place. They have the best egg rolls and shrimp fried rice in the area. When we first moved here from Chicago which has a great Chinatown I was so disappointed to see DC's tiny version. We did not have much to try but finally happened upon this spot and it's the closest you can get to the yumminess of Chicago's Chinatown. There are a town of tables so you can come in with a large party easy. And they have a gray lunch special as well. Definitely am a repeat customer.

Yum! Since living in Seattle we've been missing East coast Chinese food. We ordered the chicken lo mein and vegetable chow mein and flavors delicious, portions satisfying, and prices very reasonable. This type of chinese food does not exist where we are which is a pity. Hard to ask for more, would definitely go back.

My friend and I strolled over to gallery place for lunch, eagerly desiring some decent sushi-- we landed here. Upon walking in the smell hit us, it was a mixture of sewage and garbage. This is a huge red flag, especially at a sushi place, but our desperation blinded us. Because my stomach was a little turned by the smell, I got two basic rolls, shrimp tempura and eel avocado with a side of spicy Mayo that was bright red, very disturbing color. The rolls had basically no flavor and unfortunately while eating, couldn't get that smell out of my brain. I get it, that particular corner of gallery place corridor isn't the most savory. They have a lot of factors against them, BUT, I'd think the owners would be majorly concerned about the stench coming from their place. Sadly, I won't be back and cannot recommend!

Variety of sushi fun and interesting combos. Want to be adventurous or stick to your known sushi rolls both are options. Did take out the order was right and did not have to wait very long. Tried the sushi eel fried rice and friends tried a variety all were tasty. Recommend

Such a fun place! Came for a spontaneous karaoke night with a group of friends and luckily one of their weeknight deals was going on. We spent 2 hours singing and drinking. Great great time!

This is probably one of the best beef & broccoli i've ever had! a great lunch deal in dc chinatown as well! (add the soup for only $1) Did you know that restaurant is a historical landmark? plaque reads: "surratt boarding house" 604 h street, n. w. (then 541) is said to have been where the conspirators plotted the abduction of u.s. president abraham lincoln in 1865"

My friends and I had a great time coming here for karaoke last Tuesday. On Monday and Tuesday nights, Wok and Roll has a "buy one hour get one hour free" for karaoke rooms. We paid 82.50 after tax and gratuity (I'm guessing 10% tax and 20% gratuity) for two hours of singing and dancing in the smaller karaoke room. For six people, that is a solid deal. The sound system was pretty good and the karaoke machine was easy to work with. Overall, we had a fun time here and I would come back for karaoke in the future if I'm in the area.

I am reviewing strictly based on the Karaoke experience, as I did not get food or drink. Reservation experience: Be sure about your plans before you reserve! You have to call to make a reservation, and lock in the time, the size room, and give your credit card information. There are many rules that they run by with you and also send you via text (on phone), including if you don't cancel before 24 hours, there's a $100 fee. If you come more than 15 minutes late, they charge you, and other things. It is understandable because they don't want to risk losing money on those who flake. But I was getting anxious at remembering all the rules and hoping they don't charge for something. Some friends and I went on a Tuesday evening because they have the buy 1 hr, get 2nd hr free deal, which came out to about $82 total, for the small room. It was only 4 of us, so we could have gotten away with a smaller room, but the "5-10 people" room size was really nice. There is a large bench with two large tv screens on both sides that plays music videos/ lyrics. Song selection: Interesting set up in that the music selection is by touch screen and in the corner of the room. The staff walks you through it, but finding Kpop songs was a bit difficult and took a bit of time getting used to. Especially key, for Kpop songs (I didn't try songs in other languages), the lyrics are in Hangul, not romanized. It was still fun, but definitely a challenge, as I am used to Karaoke places that have romanized lyrics as well. It was not too difficult to find because there is a sign outside for Wok & Roll, multiple signs on doors pointing to the specifically Karaoke door. You walk up flights of stairs to get to the "check-in" area. It is quite dark (it was 6pm so it was sunny outside but felt like 10pm inside haha) inside; it gets you in the mood for Karaoke! but also feels slightly strange and eery also since it's so dark and the check in room is not very intuitive. The general experience let me rate it 4/5, because we had fun and I'd come again and consider it a good option to enjoy Karaoke (especially for kpop). However - there is such a strange STENCH from the time you walk into the building, through the hallways. Luckily it did not smell in the room but everywhere else it had a strong (bad) bathroom/plumbing smell, which was weird, please check that out !!! (if it's a permanent thing, that would probably make me give it a 3/5... ) Overall I think it's great there is a Karaoke (with private rooms) right in DC. Especially they have a huge menu of food options, which I have yet to try. It's definitely a good option instead of ubering back and forth to Virginia suburbs.

I ordered using Uber Eats and the food was fast, fresh, and absolutely delicious! The sushi combo is well worth it! I ordered an extra avocado roll worried that it would not be. Even with the delivery time, everything arrived hot and ready!

Located in Chinatown in Washington, DC I went here after attending the Palm Sunday service at the Washington National Cathedral. I wanted something simple and ordered the combination Lo Mein. It came with chicken, beef, and shrimp and was simply delicious. Next time I am in DC I will visit this location again. I'll try some other dishes. Wok and Roll was easy to locate. The service was a bit slow, but the place was packed on this Sunday afternoon. They had a lot going on while I was in there. I was there at 2:31 p.m. EDT.

Had a very quick trip to DC/Baltimore this Sat-Sun and we decided to stop by here for Dinner. We were walking around the White House and were suddenly starving but there aren't many restaurants close by. We walked to the closest area, which seemed to be China Town and saw this place. I love veggie dumplings and saw they had some so I wanted to try despite the poor ratings... but I am glad we did! I can see where there could be a few improvements in some areas, but for me it wasn't anything serious, and didn't affect me having a great visit! ***LOCATION*** I'm the Chinatown area in DC. The area is very cool and seemed to have much more nightlife than surrounding areas. It felt like we had walked into a different city! We walked and then Ubered when we left, but it seems like they had some parallel parking out front. ***ATMOSPHERE*** When you walk in you put your name in at this window then they'll unlock a door for you to come through. I imagine it's for safety / Covid based on the setup but it felt like we were walking into a speakeasy lol. Inside was nice and not too loud or crowded. In the room next door they have a karaoke bar which we tried out after. It's a part of the restaurant but you have to enter from outside. We didn't hear any music noise from the restaurant portion which was good. The Karaoke bar was private rooms though so we didn't stay since we were only 2, but it would've been cool to go with a group! ***STAFF*** I think some may have rated poorly because of staff, but I didn't personally have any issue. I'd say no one was friendly, but they brought our food and drinks out so I have no complaints. No one was rude, they just simply brought the food and set it down and left. So honestly that never bothers me, but some might say they weren't friendly. She also did only bring us one glass of water which was kind of odd but we didn't order water, only cocktails so I didn't really mind. Maybe she just brought it in case one of us were thirsty or maybe she thought one of us ordered it, I'm not sure haha. ***FOOD*** Very good! I LOVED the dumplings! Not all places offer veggie versions so I really loved that! They also have steamed or pot stickers. They bring the spicy chili oil and another vinaigre dumpling sauce out so you choose your sauce, which I also enjoyed! The ramen is very good!! Tbh my boyfriend and I both thought there was sort of an odd smell to the chicken, but overall it was very good! I didn't eat my chicken, I gave it to him since I mainly eat only vegetarian and very occasionally some chicken. ***DRINKS*** I think this also may have been a negative point for some but tbh I think it's more of a positive, depending on the kind of night you're having lol.. when I tell you I have never had a drink so strong... first of all this was a whole pint of mai tai. It tasted like I was directly drinking 100 proof alcohol through a straw. I would say it wasn't super delicious BUT I do appreciate when you can taste some alcohol and not just sugar. I feel some places charge 15$ for a cup of juice but if you want to come here for a pregame you will 100% get your moneys worth. For 10$ you get a large cocktail and I promise you will feel it after a few sips. I was going more for an enjoyable cocktail rather than a party night but i can't complain. I appreciate them giving you your moneys worth! Haha ***CONCLUSION*** Definitely would be back here. I think I'd just order a plate of dumplings for myself next time I loved them so much! I have never had any like that before, I will miss them in GA! Also will add this to a good party spot in DC with friends! Great for a strong drink to prepare you to sing in front of everyone haha

Great place to sing karaoke with friends but not a fan that they automatically include a 20% tip on all drinks. Tips should never be automatically included on drinks especially basic, watered down drinks.

No I'm so sad this place didn't live up to expectations. We walked in without peeking at reviews and it's behind a layer of bulletproof glass. Then, it was totally empty other than another table of 2 at 2 PM. It took forever for someone to seat us even though they were all just sitting and eating and drinking at another table. When we were sat, it took forever to get drinks, food, and anything else. While the crab Rangoon were the BEST I've ever had because they were full of crab, everything else didn't live up to expectations at all. Also, I didn't eat anything else all day and had an unpleasant evening with stomach issues probably linked to this meal. 1 star for the crab Rangoon though.

update: I've come to the conclusion that the money this place must save from refusing to send utensils, even when the box is checked and a follow-up call is made to reiterate the request, must keep the restaurant afloat. WhT else could be the reason?

If you are looking for Japanese or Chinese food, I would recommend not going to this place for dinner. My food while it was claimed to be spicy was bland and lacking any flavor.

Excellent timing and service. Was alittle bummed we had to scoot for our show before singing a song! Super close to capital one arena, so we will definitely be back!

Not worth the price, I ordered the generals tso chicken and a California roll. Both where just okay, sushi was 4/10 and the ive had was better general tsos

First night in Washington DC and the hotel suggested this restaurant. The food was fresh and quick. I had the chicken low mein and egg drop soup. . I was hungry but during a normal meal I could have shared it. The service was excellent and the ambiance was like a China town. I will visit it again when back in DC for work.

Apparently, this part of Chinatown is not very safe, so the door to the restaurant is locked. So you need to wait for the host to let you in. It wasn't crowded on Wednesday night and there was a lot of tables, so they brought our sushi really quickly. It's not a fancy place, but sushi is ok.

They add a 20% tip on the room that you book for karaoke, but we received no service. We had to walk down ourselves and order everything from the bar. Not sure why we had to pay extra for a service we didn't receive.

The service is great, and the food was absolutely amazing. We had the crab wontons and egg rolls and tried the veggie and beef fried rice. All of it was amazing and flavorful!!

No, no, no. Don't eat here. I'm only giving it a 2 star rating, because the staff was nice and attentive. The food is terrible. We tried Raman, sushi, dumplings, Japanese noodle dishes... Just find another place. I get that they're open late, but still just go find another place.

Food was great, service was good, guy was just a little awkward. Place smelled like cat piss. All in all, I recommend if you don't mind the smell.
