We ate at the restaurant around 2:30 pm. The restaurant was empty except for one other party. After ordering our food, we walked past 10+ tables that had not been cleaned off, before we finally found one that was previously used but relatively clean. The restaurant has a huge dining room that is surrounded by glass that was absolutely filthy. Missing, tangled, dusty, and broken window blinds cover the majority of the windows. Gray duct tape covered many of the seats. If I would have walked into the dining area first, I most likely would not have eaten there. Also, my wife used the bathroom while there and said the bathroom was filthy and only one of the two stalls were working. Anyway, unaware of what lay ahead, I ordered the deluxe combo that came with sweet and sour pork, lemon chicken, fried rice, and an egg roll. My wife ordered the lemon chicken, fried rice, and an egg roll. Wow! It was absolutely the worst food I have ever had at a restaurant. Their cooking incompetence made Panda Express look like a Michelin 5 Star restaurant. The sweet and sour pork was overcooked, and dry. The meat flavorless. If not for the sweet and sour sauce on top, it would have been 100% uneatable. I gave up on it after a few bites and turned my attention to the lemon chicken. The quality of the meat was poor. It was also overcooked with a foul "old oil" type aftertaste. Next my attention turned to the fried rice. It was heavily coated in oil with the same foul aftertaste that the lemon chicken possessed. Disgusted, I at last turned my attention to the egg roll. It looked appetizing, the outside was crisp and golden brown. I was hopeful. I was hungry. We had a grandson's football game to get to and would have to head over hungry if they screwed this up also. I bit into the crunchy outside, only to find the inner layer of the egg roll slimy and uncooked. The filling was slimy and had a gross texture and unpleasant taste. How they managed to get the outside nice and crispy and the inside so undercooked is beyond me. My wife's experiences were identical. She wanted to go and talk to the manager and get our money back; however, I was angry and did not want to create a scene. I spent $24.00 on this meal. A meal that they had the nerve to ask for a tip at during the ordering process. I figured the best thing I could do is come and write an honest review to save future potential customers from making the same mistake we made. The owner and the restaurant manager have no business being in the restaurant business. It is beyond me that someone would invest the kind of money it takes to open a restaurant and then put out this type of product. If this is the level of pride they possess in providing food and an environment to eat in, then it is only a matter of time before they close their doors. Something that I hope will come sooner rather than later.
