The 13 Best BBQ Spots In Kansas City, Ranked 2024

"Wolfepack used to operate out of Callsign Brewing in North Kansas City, and now has a brick and mortar in Columbus Park. The patio often has live music, and the meats are smoked daily by an expert pitmaster—the brisket is marbled enough to look like it could line a Renaissance palace in Florence. While the slightly bitter sauce is a change of pace from many sweeter molasses-based ones you'll find in KC, the meats and sides (especially the vinegar-based coleslaw) will wow you. If you need a caffeine boost after all that brisket, stop by the unmissable Café Cà Phê for a purple ube latte." - ryan bernsten

Everyone knows when you’re in KC you have to have BBQ but if you want the best barbecue you’ve ever had in your life then you have to go to Wolfpack BBQ! They were the best, we got the chicken wing appetizer and these aren’t your average little buffalo wings these were actual full size wings that were delicious. We also ordered the beef burnt ends, jalapeño cheese sausage, pulled pork, ribs and for sides Mac n cheese with bacon, potato salad, cowboy beans and coleslaw! And we finished it off with homemade peach cobbler with ice cream! Everything was just as delicious as the next. And their sauces just complemented every bite. Definitely my go to spot when I’m in KC! Go try it out you won’t be disappointed. Thanks Wolfpack we will be back!

Google
It was our first time here and needless to say, we will definitely be back! Their BBQ was so fresh and melt in the mouth. The chicken wings were rather dry and so were the briskets but very tender nonetheless. The loaded fries were my absolute favorite thing there that we tried that day. Portion was small for the price but that’s everything nowadays. The coleslaw was flavorless and so was the corn salad. We were quite disappointed with that. Ribs were very juicy and fall-off-the-bone. Deliciously seasoned and perfectly cooked. The burger I got was nothing special as it tasted like every other burger I’ve had from any other sit down restaurant. Still good though. All in all, I would definitely come back again. Prices were steep compared to other places I’ve been to but the waitress was super kind to us. Parking was plentiful and thank goodness we didn’t have to park on the side. Seating quantity is a bit small but that’s not bad. We went on a Sunday at 11:30AM. No line, not many people eating quite yet. On each table are condiments and a roll of paper towel! I will say I went through 7-8 sheets of paper towel. Maybe look into wet wipes or something, although bathrooms are also an option! I’d come again for a celebration or something special. As for casual, everyday BBQ, I think I’d go someplace else. Food: 4.2/5 Service: 4.7/5 Atmosphere: 4.3/5 Parking: 5/5 Cleanliness: 4.3/5 Seating: 4/5

Google
Awesome meal. Best Brisket is have had in KC. Thick cut similar to what ive seen in Texas. Ribs, burnt ends and sausage were great too. Sides were fine but nothing crazy but that doesn't matter when all the meats are great. Sauce was a little sweet for my taste but that's very subjective. Very cool location and we had great service. Will definitely be back!

Google
Everything was amazing! These are the best ribs around, they fall right off the bone. The turkey was juicy and tender. If you like jalapeño cheddar sausage you have to try Wolfpacks! You can’t go wrong here.

Google
I came here based on the reviews and with Kansas City BBQ having a lot of reviews, I decided to try this place. I tried the three meat which happened to be brisket, ribs and burnt ends. The burnt ends was not what I was expecting or I have experienced other times at other locations. The ribs were good. They had a good smoke ring but they only had a smoke flavor. The brisket was okay, it seemed just a little dry so I put barbecue sauce on it. To me good barbecue doesn't need barbecue sauce but for me this food all of it needed barbecue sauce if that makes sense.

Google
My wife and I went for the first time today. Beautiful restaurant interior with super friendly, professional staff. The food was great. The loaded mac n cheese with brisket was smokey and delicious. Moving to meats, turkey was moist and smokey, ribs super tender. The pork belly burnt ends had a great bark. Brisket and pulled pork were also delicious. The pickles were phenomenal. It was a garlic flavor with onion and a little bit of spice (not sure if it was jalapeño or what, very mild). Great experience!

Google
The smell of smoke in the air when we walked into this gem. The brisket and burnt ends were melt in your mouth! Had the peach cobbler crumble dessert, fresh and hot in it's ramekin dish. Next time in KC, I'll be back!

Google
Our server Jason was amazing. He was extremely busy but was on top of everything. Personable, funny, and welcoming to out of towners. The meats were great. And their house BBQ sauce was extremely good. The cheese curd appetizer is Wisconsinite approved. Overall I would absolutely come back here on my next trip to KC.

Yelp
Some of the best BBQ in KC. Recommend it to anyone new into town. Get there early as they often sell out of their best meats.

Yelp
Took a bit to find this restaurant. But it was worth it. I had the brisket sandwich and a side of fries. The brisket was moist and very tasty. The fries were comparable to Joe's. I think Joes fries are the best in KC. The fries here are as good as if not better than the fries at Joes. There was a spicy and regular sauce that was both very tasty. The only drawback was the noise. It's a tin roof and with a dining room full of people it was loud. I will be back to try more of the menu items.

Yelp
We had a really nice meal at the Wolfepack on a Saturday evening while the Chiefs were playing! Excellent menu options and the food came out piping hot. Service was quick and attentive. The brisket and ribs were my favorite - the corn was a little flavorless to me. The loaded fries as an appetizer was a solid appetizer choice. We will be back!

Yelp
A new contender for my go-to barbecue spot in KC????? Could it be?? Wolfepack is an unassuming joint in Columbus Park, but their food is fantastic. They have lots of seating inside which makes it good for groups as long as it's not peak hours. They have tons of options on their menu - truly something for everyone. I highly recommend the fried cheese curds as an appetizer. Usually I'm not the biggest fan of sides at barbecue restaurants, but I absolutely love their mac & cheese. All the meat plates I have gotten here have been delicious, but I must recommend the brisket above everything -- it will literally dissolve in your mouth, it's so tender! Maybe the most tender brisket I've had! Plenty of street parking in Columbus Park. Highly recommend this as a lunch option if you're enjoying a weekend in River Market!

Yelp
I finally had the chance to visit Wolfpack BBQ, and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations! From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by the aromas of smoky, delicious meats wafting through the air. They boast an impressive selection of high-quality meats, all sourced from local providers, which really enhances the flavor and freshness of every dish. The menu features a variety of mouthwatering options, from tender brisket to juicy ribs, each cooked to perfection and infused with their signature spices. The sides are just as noteworthy, with choices like creamy coleslaw, buttery corn on the cob, and perfectly seasoned baked beans that complement the main courses beautifully. As for the service, I found it quite commendable, especially given how busy the restaurant was during my visit. The staff was attentive and friendly, making sure that our orders were taken promptly and checking in on us throughout our meal. Moreover, the restaurant has plenty of seating available, accommodating everything from intimate dinners for two to larger gatherings with friends or family. Overall, Wolfpack BBQ is a fantastic spot for anyone craving authentic barbecue with a local twist!

Yelp
Wolfepack has some great artwork and seats like a casual BBQ place. The server was very attentive when we sat down and friendly. I ordered the turkey meat plate with corn elote and Mac and cheese. The turkey was super tender but did wish the portion size was a bit bigger. the corn was absolutely delicious. The Mac was good but they charge a dollar extra which wasn't stated on the menu that I saw prior to ordering. Overall a great BBQ joint for an occasional get together or special meet up but just a little bit pricey for me to come regularly.

Yelp
Friendly staff with quick service. Definitely the best brisket I've had in KC. Really enjoyed the pork belly burnt ends as well. The sides were amazing, especially the mac and cheese, onions rings were perfectly crispy. Definitely a great place for bbq

Yelp
Wolfepack is a must try BBQ spot in KC! I tried the three meat platter with smoked brisket, turkey breast, and jalepeno cheddar sausage and every single one of them was truly a 10/10. My favorite was surprisingly the turkey! It was super moist and seasoned so well. The brisket was perfectly tender and the sausage had a nice kick to it. I tried the mac and cheese and the elote as sides. They were both pretty mid but not bad at all. Our waitress was really helpful and walked us through the menu with her recommendations. I would highly recommend coming here because you won't be disappointed!

Yelp
Service amazing, vibe 10/10. Meats 9/10 very good. Didnt care for the spareribs, too much fat/cartilage. We order ribs a lot and they are never like that. The sausage was great as well as brisket. The sides I ranked 7/10. Potato salad bland and hard potatoes. Onion rings great. Mac and cheese ok. Fries seasoned great. Garlic cheese curds awesome. The homemade pickles 10/10 Beans were ok, almost like a chili. They also have really good BBQ sauce, OG and Spicy both 10/10. Overall enjoyed my time here and would come again!

Yelp
We loved the food here. Tasty BBQ, for sure. Didn't love the vibe, as it felt a bit stark and the staff reception was a bit chilly, but it's fine, overall. My wife got a great sandwich, and the rest of us had meat platters. We all scarffed down every bit of it! Recommended for sure!

Yelp
Went here with a large group of 16 people. They have plenty of seating in their second room that has those large garage doors to open up on a good weather day. Ashley was our server and she did a great job of setting up everyone's individual tabs and getting their orders as people came in. I know this large of a party isn't always the easiest on a restaurant, but they did it very well. The place wasn't too crowded outside of us, but there were other tables to tend to. The food, I love the fact that you can completely customize your plate. I am not usually hungry enough for two meats and two sides, etc. You can order your meat portion from I believe 1/4 to 1lb. You can order your sides from individual to larger sides. The whole thing is great! I went with a 1/4 turkey and a 1/2 pulled pork with a side of elote. The turkey was delicious and I love their BBQ sauce. The spicy was a little too spicy for me, but it tasted great. The pulled pork was good but there were some fatty pieces so I am glad I went with the larger portion. They also have a great custom cocktail menu and a good selection of local and domestic beers. If you are in the area I suggest giving them a try!

Yelp
My lunch was BBQ perfection. I had the Wagyu Brisket and the burnt ends with a side of potato salad. Every bit of it was outstanding and great service too. One of the top 5 BBQ meals of my long lifetime and I love the funky neighborhood it's in. Can't wait to go back.

Yelp
I'm not sure if I went on an off day for them, but I didn't think Wolfepack BBQ lived up to the hype. For background, I've had some pretty amazing BBQ in my life in South Carolina and Texas. The brisket was okay, but there wasn't anything exceptional about it. There wasn't a smoky flavor or anything distinct about the bark. The sausage was almost too finely-ground for me? For those that are cilantro-averse, the slaw does have cilantro in it. The onion rings were light and crispy, but could have used some seasoning. The BBQ sauces on the table were pretty good; the short one had good spice to it and the tall one had good tang. I am not sure I would go back to Wolfepack when there are so many other BBQ places in my rotation already. In KC, I probably prefer Q39, Joe's KC/Oklahoma Joe's, and Char Bar.

Yelp
Top notch service and BBQ! First timers but we will return. The two meat platter was just right for two people. Pork and turkey were smoked and tender. Original sauces provided an excellent enhancement to the meats. And topping it off with a light fluffy cheese cake the likes we have never encountered. Original and delicious. Highly recommend.

Yelp
What a treasure of a BBQ joint. Stopped for a late lunch on a Saturday and were able to find a table immediately. Our server came to our table pretty quickly and was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. They were out of several items but we didn't miss anything. The pickles were very spicy! Could have done with a little bit less heat but I enjoyed them nonetheless. The garlic cheese curds were absolutely amazing. The cheese was gooey and chewy, and the breading light and not overdone. I didn't love the cowboy beans, but that's just a presence thing. The Mac and cheese was good, but nothing out of this world. The jalapeño cheddar sausage was delightful!. The right amount of heat, plenty of cheese. Very tasty! The beef burnt ends were possibly the best I've been had. Just a revelation. I didn't put a drop of Bbq sauce anything, and I love BBQ! They're getting their liquor license next week, and will be working on sprucing up the patio. Tall ceilings, a bar, a few TVs up on the wall. Nothing fancy, but the food speaks for itself. Our cocktails were perfect for a hot summer afternoon! And the staff was great! We'll be back.

Yelp
This is one of my top three barbecue places. Slaps, Jack Stack and Wolfpack. I consider the sides when I'm deciding the best barbecue. Wolfpack has the best brisket. It's sliced thicker than most. Super tender and flavorful. The corn is the best anywhere. Garlic cheese curds taste just like garlic and cheese. Soft but crispy. Excellent. Also the most friendliest and attentive employees.

Yelp
Service was top notch, my order came out fast. Everything was really good. The only reason I didn't give 5 stats is my burnt ends came out a little dry. I'll definitely be back.. the burger and ribs were great. The sides were great.. looking forward to trying more

Yelp
Read about them on Yelp and decided to go as we traveled. We stopped for lunch & it was busy but not jam-packed. Really cute space, nice artwork & patio. We shared some ribs, the mac 'n cheese & the corn salad. It was very delicious, the ribs maybe the best I've had (though not as lean as I'd prefer). The Mac 'n cheese is creamy & flavorful, not to be missed. The corn salad was good but wish we had tried the coleslaw. Our server was excellent, very sweet & friendly young woman. We definitely recommend!

Yelp
Lots of great things here. First, appropriate, welcoming building and decor for old-school BBQ -- not real elegant, but real BBQ. Second, service was really good. We sat for maybe a second longer than I might expect before seeing a server, and one came over and apologized and explained they were a bit on their heels after a huge lunch rush, but service after that was super attentive. Jalapeño sausage was 5/5, brisket was 3.5/5 -- the brisket texture was just a smidge off and flavor lacked a little seasoning, coming off just a little flat. My wife had a chili verde w pulled pork that was really, really good! The sides were a highlight. Both the corn salad and the Thai sweet potato salad were very, very good -- let's go with 4.5/5 on my arbitrary scale. Both were creative and tasty. I was really liking them, trying to love them. Then, I added just a little salt and I loved them. Will not hesitate to return to this place. But, a little more seasoning in a couple of spaces would have taken this place from great to really great.

Yelp
We all know that KC has the best bbq in the world (something even the late, great Anthony Bourdain freely admitted). However, who has the best bbq in KC is always a fun debate and as a Kansas Citian, I love nitpicking everywhere and comparing all the bbq joints against each other. Well no longer. In terms of who has the best bbq, Wolfepack brought a nuclear bomb to a gun fight. If you're familiar with KC bbq, listen to me carefully here: These burnt ends are better than KC Joes. Yes. I know what I said. Yes I mean it. No I don't say that lightly. If you know bbq, that should be all you need to get there asap. If you don't know bbq, this place is a very fine introduction to the wonderful, magical goodness that is Kansas City Barbecue.

Yelp
2.5 stars - Way, way overhyped. We shared a platter of their beef and pork burnt ends, brisket, ribs, and sausage. I'd say the quality of the meat product itself was excellent, but the execution on the actual barbecue was mid. Brisket and beef burnt ends were above average. Pork burnt ends and sausage were not cooked long enough - pork belly wasn't rendered enough, and the cheese in the sausage was barely melted, so it had unpleasant chunks embedded. Ribs were average. I did like the sauce on the table. Sides were unremarkable, other than the lemon pepper slaw which we all enjoyed. A comment about the service and the restaurant itself. We were here at a quiet time when it was not crowded. The service was insanely slow - 15 minutes to get waters. 40 minutes to get barbecue - neither of which should not take that long! Service was kinda unfriendly too. Further, the larger garage room has no AC and not nearly enough fans, so it made the long wait even more unpleasant. Not worth the hype - a whole table of barbecue enthusiasts agree, hit up Joe's instead.

Yelp
Thought I try a new spot for bbq. I seen a video with Andy Reid eating at this joint. I walked into Wolfpack bbq with an atmosphere of upscale. Bar was nicely set up with a great logo on the side. I placed an order to go. The bartender was very nice and offered a menu so I could make a decision. The Wolfpack sampler was my choice . 4 meats and 4 sides. Also 3 wings buffalo style. The meats were great. The sides I thought had room for improvement. White cheddar Mac and cheese was good. I thought the baked beans were on the dry side, the corn looks delicious and the coleslaw was not my favorite. I feel we all have different tastes so go in angive it a try. You definitely will not be disappointed with the meats!

Kristin A.

Yelp
I was in KC a few months ago for 2 reasons only: Beyoncé and BBQ. Did my pre-trip Yelp searches and saved this spot. As soon as we landed, we headed straight here. I associate BBQ with being home so I'm always excited when a place offers that vibe. This, unfortunately, didn't have that feeling. My friend started a meatless diet days before, sadly. However, they got and said the guacamole bites were filling. I ordered the ribs, the slaw and potato salad. The ribs had good flavor and were meaty. They almost fell off the bone which I realize a lot of people like - I'm just not a huge fan. The potato salad was good but the slaw was a bit too tangy for me. I left full but I wanted to like this place more.

Yelp
WOLFEPACK BBQ at 910 e 5th street in Kansas City, Mo is THE BEST BBQ I HAVE EVER EATEN!!!! This place literally takes the cake (or bbq) over any place on the planet!! My cousin insisted that we drive down to the river market area -possibly referred to as old Italy back in the day. My cousin went on and on about the bbq. He was RIGHT-it is the best! All of it!! Not only is the bbq the best so is the customer service! The restaurant is soooo cool and super clean. We were greeted by Jared Wolf! He was so sweet and was eager to show us his kitchen after my cousin inquired. This kitchen is so state of the art and amazing!! Then we were greeted by the most amazing bar tender -Jordan. He told me all about the homemade cheesecake! After we were finished eating he brought me (complimentary) the best piece of cheesecake I have ever had! Thank you Jordan!! I have eaten a lot of bbq in my life- KC has some of the best. This place blows all other out of the water. I will never go anywhere else!! They deserve a million stars and then some!!

Yelp
Starting a Summer Of BBQ on a quest to find my favorite BBQ in Kansas City. That quest started on an unbelievably high note at Wolfepack last night! Walking in it was seat yourself so our party sat close to the bar and we were given prompt and good service from our really nice waiter. He was knowledgeable about the menu and had very strong recommendations that our party loved. Started out with the fried garlic cheese curds and this immediately blew me away. The right amount of garlic, salt and a perfect crunch from the breading along with them actually being melted all the way through, reminds me of the curds I got from Minnesota and Wisconsin all the time, easily now on my Mount Rushmore of all time fav Kansas City snack/appetizer plates. Then I got a three meat plate with pork belly burnt ends, brisket and sausage. With a side of fries and potato salad, with a huge quart of the mac and cheese for the table all to share. The pork belly burnt ends melted in my mouth and were seasoned perfectly. The brisket is easily my favorite brisket I've had in KC, most places I've been to in the city just don't have brisket up to par with the stuff you get in Texas and this brisket was happily a deviation from that norm, I will say that it was still a bit on the dry side but it was still moist enough that it melted and fell apart and the bites with the rendered fat were killer and so tender that everything just dissolved in my mouth. The sausage was near perfect, the right amount of cheddar that helped melt in your mouth along with the casing of the sausage adding a perfect contrast in texted with a strong bite to it. The fries were some of the best you can get in Kansas City and the fry seasoning that came with it was easily my favorite of any spot you could get in Kansas City (yes even better than Joes KC). One of my friends gave me a bite of the turkey and that was great and my Wife gave me a rib she had on her place and that was also incredible! Worth noting accompanying these meat was a great original bbq sauce and their spicy bbq sauce, which was my favorite. I find a true spicy bbq sauce is nearly impossible to find, I was very happy to see that this spicy sauce packed the flavor and had a considerable kick to it but still wasn't so spicy that the average eater would be miserable, it was near perfect. The one miss of the night was the Mac n Cheese really felt that the noodle choice wasn't my favorite and felt like it wasn't fully cooked through, the sauce had a great cheddar flavor but needed more salt to help amplify the flavor and even another cheese other than white cheddar or even some garlic would push this over the edge! Small complaint in the midst of what was an otherwise delicious meal. Long story short this place is some of my early favorite bbq on my grand tour of the cities BBQ scene. I will be back to see how consistent they are between visits but based on the first time along I'd say it's more than worth your time and money to make it out to Columbus Park to try!

Yelp
I was on the hunt for a good BBQ spot near my downtown hotel, and Wolfepack BBQ caught my eye with its near-perfect 5-star rating. I decided to give it a try, and I'm so glad I did--this is now my favorite BBQ place in Kansas City! The beef burnt ends were the highlight of my meal. I received four perfect pieces with just the right amount of fat and meat--simply divine! The spare ribs were also outstanding, with a perfect bite, seasoning, and smoky flavor. The fries were incredible as well, featuring a delicious rub/seasoning with a sweet and salty taste that made them some of the best fries I've ever tasted. The cowboy beans were a great addition, rounding out an exceptional dining experience. If you're in Kansas City and craving BBQ, you have to check out Wolfepack BBQ. You won't be disappointed!

Yelp
After going down the TikTok rabbit hole looking for the best barbecue in Kansas City I settled on this place. Last time I was in Kansas City I did not get the barbecue this time. I was not gonna miss out. I ordered the jalapeño cheddar sausage, brisket and ribs. When I tell you, this was the best gosh darn rib I have ever eaten my entire life! There is zero exaggeration in this. Made me wish all I had done is order ribs and nothing more! It's not that the other items weren't good, they were absolutely, but these ribs are mind blowing. I went in probably around 1115 this morning sat at the bar placed the order to go. The gal was super sweet who assisted me the others were friendly as well. And the place is super cute. Definitely coming back to get more ribs next time I'm in town!

Yelp
Best beef brisket and beef burnt ends in the city so far that I've tried! The guys are great. Second review here. The meat they use comes from Kansas City Cattle Company, so with being said expect higher prices than other BBQ joints in the area for the simple fact that the meat they are using is sourced well. The usual was to come by and grab brisket to-go but I've made it an effort to go on Saturdays because that is the only day that they will have beef burnt ends. These burnt ends may look "simple" at first but upon further examination you will quickly find they are far from simple, especially when you let them melt in your mouth! I have literally not used my teeth to chew and just sucked on a burnt end to ingest a piece of Wolfepack Beef Burnt End!! There comes a comfort over the body a few bites in. You begin to actually know what "Savor the Moment" means in real time. Time slows, your mind starts to recount past BBQ experiences. Though during contemplation and reminiscence of the past, your focus is always drawn back to bliss, and that bliss if found in a piece of beef at a random location in KC so far separated from the hustle and bustle of the city but yet your not. You realize that there is no need to compare in that moment, you must simply be mindful and present because you may never ever find such a savory piece of art to enjoy again...(I speak in confidence for the KC BBQ scene for sure, but I should travel before speaking nationally.) If I am to be honest and straight to the point though...pricey for sure, best brisket and burnt ends in KC, and I believe they have the capability to KC's next big BBQ spot (A lot of people feel the same, but a lot of people have never heard of Wolfepack and don't know where its at.)

Yelp
Amazzzzzzing!!!!!! Burnt ends, onion rings, brisket bacon cheeseburger, corn on the cob elote, french fries.... ALL soooo good!! Mouth watering!!!!! My only complaint is that I don't live closer (2hrs away - Columbia MO) as this would be our go to on game days and days between games!!! Very inviting place to be!!! David the bartender was wonderful too!!

Yelp
Very Expensive for sub par food. $30 for a 3 meat plate had small Portions on both meat and side. Service was poor in general. Sauce was weak. Edit - read below smarty pants owner I'm not the only one.

Yelp
Delicious barbecue but expensive compared to most others in the area. Tasty pineapple bbq sauce. $18 or so for a half pound of burnt ends. Juicy but not super moist like Jack Stack.

Yelp
They have the best turkey in town! This is our go-to whenever we want BBQ, and I recommend it to my fellow BBQ lovers.

Yelp
This was my first visit to the new location. Although I have had Wolfepack when they were inside the brewery in NKC and from the food trailer that was parked in the Columbus Park parking lot for quite some time while they prepared the brick and mortar next door. Not only is the new location open, it is firing on all cylinders and ratcheting up what was already a 5 star experience My company treated me to lunch for my 11 year work anniversary and it was amazing. My boss and I shared 2 Burnt Ends / Mac & Cheese Egg Rolls. With a cup of melted white cheese and an Asian pepper sauce for dipping, it was a perfect starter. My chopped brisket and cheddar sausage sammy was incredible also - probably my favorite sausage I've had in KC! Fries are hot, coated and crispy. Both sauces excellent. The space is the former North End restaurant and they've kept the bar, but added some great art murals around the top section of the main room. Wolfepack easily makes my top 10 for KC BBQ and my top 5 for "new" generation KC BBQ. See ya soon Wolfepack!

Yelp
Great service and quality bbq. We loved the Mac and cheese and the brisket cheeseburger! The jalapeño sausage was definitely on the top of the list for KC BBQ sausage options. Also tried the pork belly burnt ends and were not disappointed. Had the garlic cheese curds, fries and onion rings at the table as well. Loved the cheese curds and very good seasoned fries. Onion rings were good but not quite as crispy as we hoped. Will definitely be back!

Yelp
Came for lunch one day and got 1/2lb of burnt ends and a side of Mac n Cheese and it hit the spot! Burnt ends were excellent, super tender and you can tell they use quality meat. I've had a bunch of their apps and they're all good. Don't sleep on their cocktails either, their bar menu is great too!

Yelp
I'm typically not a huuggee fan of bbq and meat in general but this place went above and beyond my expectations and I think this is quite literally the best bbq place I've ever had! The staff were super friendly and approachable which made the dining atmosphere a lot more enjoyable. We ordered the brisket mac n cheese, burnt ends, brisket, ribs and all were amazing. The only thing I didn't like as much was our potato salad side. I'd love to come back here in the future!

Yelp
Finally tried this place, a coworker kept raving about it. Went on a Sunday for lunch right when they opened. A very popular place. Service was friendly and quick. My go to is pork belly burnt ends and pulled pork. Food was decent. Not my all time favorite but still good. I'd go back due to location. The slaw was very good.

Yelp
Wolfepack BBQ is Kansas City's best new BBQ. I used to go to their Food Truck and was ecstatic when their brick and mortar opened up so close to my neighborhood. I've already been twice and have never been disappointed. Get the two meat platter, it comes with two sides and split it with a partner or friend! MUST get: the cheese curds, brisket, mac & cheese, and DESSERT! Most of the time at BBQ places people don't leave room for dessert, but it is a MUST here! Their homemade cheesecake is incredible. And they are great at cocktails too! (Is there anything they can't do?) All of the staff is super friendly and kind. The ambience is both rustic and cozy with strong themes of Kansas City through artwork and design. The North End is so underrated. I love it. There's street parking. And you can visit Cafe Ca Phe before or after (it's next door)! Grab a drink at the bar, invite your whole family for dinner, or even host a party or event! Let's just say, I'm not always in the mood for BBQ but I am always in the mood for Wolfepack.

Yelp
Oh so good.. the reviews don't lie.. the turkey was excellent. Very succulent and flavorful. The pork belly burnt ends were so good. Excellent flavor and balance between meat and fat. The potato salad was creamy and delightful. The beans were very tasty. Service was a bit slow but friendly and the place has a cool vibe. Would definitely recommend.

Yelp
We got the three meat plate with the pork belly burnt ends, brisket and spare ribs. For our sides, we chose the cowboy beans and the lemon pepper coleslaw. All of the meats were amazing. However, I will say that the spare ribs were my favorite and maybe the best I've ever had. The sauce was yummy, but I didn't want to hide the amazing flavor the perfectly smoked meat. Casual, bar, like ambience, which suited as well . Service was excellent!

Yelp
2 meat sandwich (turkey and pulled pork) with brands an mac & cheese and a 2 meat meal (pulled pork, and brisket). Sides with the beans and corn. This place rocked. Nice atmosphere and the food was worth the 1/2 mile walk from the trolley drop off at the Market downtown. Very safe walk and super clean. No one to bother you while you walk. It's a don't miss if you are eating downtown. Bartender was super guy too.

Yelp
Wow, maybe the best baked beans I've had. Nutmeg and a cinnamon? So good. The bbq brisket was spot on. The service was busy and slightly in the weeds but friendly and attentive. By partner loved the potato salad. Ribs were yuge! I will return.

Yelp
Fantastic low key Kansas City BBQ. The cheesy jalapeño sausages were a highlight for me but everyone enjoyed their dishes. Go to Jack Stack for the steakhouse experience (also very good) but if you want some authentic local eats, Wolfepack was sensational.

Yelp
This place looks unassuming at first, but make no mistake, the Q was on point!! Prices aren't outrageously high, like most Barbecue joints have been getting, lately, but the quality is not sacrificed. Service was quick and friendly, like being at a friend's cookout. Highly recommend the cheese curds! They were the best I have ever had. I also ordered the 2 meat plate with 2 sides for $24. The fries were average, the mac and cheese was tasty, but the meats!!! Mmmmm.... The quantity alone was worth it. The ribs just fell off the bones and both sauces on the table were delicious. The cheddar jalapeño sausages were so full of flavor and, even cut up, still had that snap from the skin when you bit into them. If you're in the area, try not to miss this gem!

Yelp
We popped in for a quick bite and had delicious pulled pork Mac and cheese and cheese curds. The flavor was really great - and the bbq sauce was a good addition to the Mac and cheese. They have a full bar and rotating local taps for beer. There was a good crowd mid-afternoon, so I'd imagine peak time would be busy. The bartender was friendly and the space was welcoming, not too fancy.

Yelp
Maybe a contender for my favorite bbq in KC? We took a brief walk to Columbus Park on a Saturday because my friend raves about this place. It was not crowded in the afternoon on the patio and our server came immediately to greet us and bring water. The food came out really quickly too! We started off with the cheese curds (definitely recommend) and then I shared the three meat platter with my partner. We got burnt ends, pulled pork, and brisket. The burnt ends were pretty fatty but really tender. Pulled pork was also really yummy but my standout was the brisket. I usually judge all bbq places by their brisket and whether it's fork tender or knife tender but this one was pretty melt in your mouth. Really enjoyed their sauces as well! Definitely a great hidden gem that I hope blows up in KC.

Yelp
Came here on a rainy Friday afternoon and was greeted with a warm welcome. We've been on the hunt for a good BBQ places when we were here in Kansas City. After a visit to the River Market, we headed over which was approximately an 11-min walk. The BF ordered the famous KC Burnt Ends, Brisket, Pork Ribs, Jalapeño Cheddar Sausages and sides (Mac N Cheese and Potato Salad). Honest opinion. This is really good compare to another well-known BBQ spot that we tried the first night we were here... The burnt ends were juicy and super flavorable. The ribs..fall off the bones and packed full of flavors. The BF concurred. The sides, let me tell you, I don't really eat Mac n Cheese or Potato Salads but these were sooo good. I kept going back for more. Also can't forget the spicy pickled red onions and pickles. This spot made our visit to KC complete and definitely recommend.

Yelp
This isn't your average bbq! It's a step above! We get their brisket for holidays, and it's sooo extremely tender!! Odd, but, I LOVE their brisket burger, too!
