The 11 Best Long Island Wineries 2024

"You’ve probably already had Wölffer Estate’s wine or ciders before, but it’s still worth making a trip to their beautiful vineyard or more laid-back wine stand boutique down the road. Wölffer’s location in the Hamptons also makes it a great pit stop if you’re driving to or from Montauk, and their wines are similarly primed for summer, with selections like a Finca white that’s made for a night filled with clam pasta and a summery rosé that’s so floral and botanical it’ll remind you of your favorite gin. Their Spring In A Bottle sparkling rosé is also non-alcoholic and doesn’t taste like juice (in a good way)." - anne cruz

Vince was a great tour guide, knowledgable about everything from the agriculture, history, and wine making process. He handled all our questions with a friendly and passionate attitude and showed us all the parts of the vineyard. The property is quite beautiful. The tasting started with snacks in the dining room and progressed to the wine cellar.

Absolutely loved this place! The atmosphere is incredibly cozy — the perfect mix of nature, vineyards, and great taste. The live music was amazing and set the mood for the whole evening. The wine was excellent — you can tell it’s made with care and passion. We’ll definitely be coming back!

Google
Wölffer Estate Vineyard — Sagaponack, NY Wölffer is one of my favorite places, and an absolute must if you’re visiting the Hamptons. The vineyard is peaceful, beautifully maintained, and the wines are truly exceptional. They offer light snacks to pair with your drinks, and everything is served in a setting that feels both relaxed and refined. I was lucky enough to visit during bud break—when the grapevines start to bloom—which made the experience even more special. Whether you’re into wine, nature, or just looking for a serene escape, Wölffer delivers. Highly recommend making a reservation in advance.

Google
This vineyard is absolutely stunning! Sprawling and elegantly designed, it offers breathtaking views that you can fully immerse yourself in--guests are even welcome to wander into the vineyard for photos, which is a lovely touch. The atmosphere is lively and inviting, with amazing wine flights and bottles available for purchase. The charcuterie board was equally delightful, complementing the wines perfectly. It was an all-around fantastic experience, and I can't recommend it enough! Be sure to make a reservation in advance, as it's quite popular. Truly a place to fall in love with!

Google
Aesthetic winery that is popular for serving mostly Rose and Sparkling wine. They have wine flights which starts at $38 to $48 p/p. We ended up buying a whole bottle of different wines (Red, White and Rose) instead of doing the flights since its cheaper and we get more wine. Make sure to get a reservation ahead as the place can get busy even on weekdays. Plenty of free Parking infront and on the side of the entrance.

Google
It was a great experience. I was really happy to find non-alcoholic wine options. The first sip of the wine tasted like tea, but it improved afterwards, and the sparkling variety was quite enjoyable. The vibe and atmosphere were both fantastic.

Google
Gorgeous property, vibe, people, service, and wine. My husband is Swiss and a bit of a wine/rose snob and he was over the moon about the experience. His favorite was the “grandiose rose” and “perle Chardonnay”. We ordered a charcuterie board w/ a beautiful arrangement of nocellara olives, cheeses, meats, fruits (I added a delicious gourmet soft pretzel w/ a gourmet mustard) A shoutout to our lovely host, Catherine (Katherine) + Vince the sommelier, for taking time to share a bit of the history of the vineyard and sharing some extra tastings recommendations. We came right before high season and on rainy day, but it was perfect as this gave us the opportunity to speak to them a bit more. During high season they’re slammed, so we were fortunate to have the experience we did.

We recently visited Wölffer Estate Vineyard during the off-season, and the experience was absolutely delightful. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was serene and inviting. We opted for a wine tasting paired with some light snacks and were seated in their enclosed outdoor patio. The setting was stunning, offering a picturesque view of the vineyard that perfectly complemented the relaxing ambiance. The wines were exceptional, showcasing the dedication to quality and elegance that Wölffer is known for. Each pour had a distinct character, reflecting the winery's signature style—balanced, food-friendly, and refined. The light snacks provided a perfect accompaniment, allowing us to savor the flavors of both the food and wine. Wölffer Estate’s rich history and commitment to innovation were evident in every detail. Their reputation as one of the finest producers on the East Coast is well-deserved, and the staff’s hospitality made the experience even more enjoyable. Whether you're a seasoned wine enthusiast or simply looking for a peaceful getaway, Wölffer Estate is a must-visit. We can't wait to return, hopefully during the peak season, to explore even more of what they have to offer.

Yelp
It's such a Beautiful Vinyard The service is wonderful!! Looking forward to going back!!

Yelp
Good vineyard with so much of historical facts behind the wines being sold. Service was good. We couldn't get any tour of the distillery though but seemed good variety of wines being manufactured here. For the first time visit surprised to find double or more than double priced bottles at the dining table than their outlet. Overall a good winery to try in Hamptons!

Yelp
Food is very good. Wine is delicious and service is top notch! Recommend the charcuterie board and the whipped ricotta with honey and pistachios.

Yelp
I've been coming to Wolffer for years, and it never disappoints! Ambiance & Service: Trendy and rustic interior, but the outdoor seating offers stunning vineyard views--perfect for photos! The service is always friendly and attentive. We shared a 1.5-liter bottle of Summer in a Bottle rosé, perfect for 5 people. It's super dry and ideal for summer! All their food is delicious. This time, I tried the pretzel with spicy mustard--enjoyed it! The mezze board with tzatziki and hummus is also a must-try. TL;DR: Wolffer is the best! Great views, attentive service, delicious food, and the perfect summer rosé.

Yelp
Super trendy winery located on the way to even trendier East Hampton. I think this place is honestly a little overhyped especially compared to the wineries on the North Fork that have better wine at more affordable prices with better views and ambiance. That said, everything we had at Wolffer was tasty and I enjoyed my time here. We were able to get a table for two as a walk-in on 4th of July weekend which we recognized was a literal miracle. I've had so many glasses of Summer in a Bottle in my lifetime that I decided to branch out and try their reserve flight, which had a mix of whites and reds and was honestly shocked at how good it was. No idea why Summer in a Bottle has become the wine this spot is known for when they make far better. We ordered an artichoke flatbread and cheese plate which both hit the spot and paired well with our wine selections. Service was quick and accommodating, which makes sense because these guys obviously need to turn tables. A fun stop if you're in the area, but I wouldn't go out of my way to come here.
google avatar

Kimberly D.

Yelp
What a stunningly gorgeous property. Wines were lovely. I especially liked the reds, which I had never tasted before. The artichoke flatbread was delicious and the nosh board was beautiful and a great amount of food for lunch. I realized wish we were told what was on it (to guess- one salami, one sopressata, and three cheeses- a fantastic fresh feta I think? A manchego. And the third I couldn't figure out. I asked and the waiter said "I think it's appenzeller?" then walked away.) We started by sharing the rose flight and the waiter was supposed to bring our second flight- the international - but he forgot. He came over to ask if we wanted a glass of anything we liked from the first flight and we had to remind him that we had been waiting for the second flight... Overall this was a lovely meal and lovely wines. It's definitely got a little of a cult following and is full of Instagram girls lol... Service was just okay. I would return, though. Make a reservation!!!!!!

Bethany G.

Yelp
Amazing vineyard and great customer service. Hunt club member for several years and they never disappoint. Shaina Preiss went out of her way to ensure I had an opportunity to attend the March pick up party. Glad there is still a classy top notch winery on Long Island

Yelp
My visit to Wölffer Estate Vineyard was a fantastic experience. I enjoyed the rosé flights, which were refreshing and a great way to sample their selection. The mezze platter paired perfectly with the wines, offering a nice variety of flavors. The ambiance of the vineyard was beautiful and relaxing, making it a perfect spot for a peaceful afternoon. The staff was nice and friendly, adding to the overall great experience. I highly recommend visiting if you're in the area!
google avatar

Tiffany H.

Yelp
One of my favorite rosés so I had to come visit when I was in the area. The vineyard is beautiful very photogenic. I tried the Rosé flight so good. The white flight is good. It's a great way to see which wine I liked. There's a souvenir store so you can get at 10% discount if you dived at the vineyard. You must make reservations in advance, it's very popular and can get packed. Service is ok considering it's a very busy place. If you live summer in a bottle you must come visit the vineyard.
google avatar

Matt G.

Yelp
It is one of the nicest, most upscale wineries on Long Island. Wine selection is very large, and they feature some great rose, whites, and red. They also have a very tasty saki cider. Service is also great and the views are beautiful. We are bigger red drinkers and enjoyed their cabernet sauvignon and franc. Their signature rose is also delicious. Food wise, the flat breads were very good and the pretzel was great. They also had a nice assorted cheese platter. Enjoy!
google avatar

Jessica G.

Yelp
A beautiful place all around. Came in and had a flight with a charcuterie board. I loved the taste of the wine, we ended up ordering a bottle after and enjoyed the views.
google avatar

Carlton R.

Yelp
Really good! This venue was beautiful! Came here for lunch and drinks and it was an amazing experience! We did a wine sampler, some food to munch on and had an amazing view to enjoy! Unfortunately you cannot go into the vineyard, but you can go in front of it to take photos etc. Our waiter was very knowledgeable of the wines and we even got some to go! Great experience and will return!

Yelp
Wolfer Estate I've had the pleasure of coming to you a few times now. Every time you exceed my expectations. The wine, service, and food are phenomenal. The atmosphere are good vibes all around. Can't believe it has taken me this long to write a review, but I had to come show some love where it is due.Definitely make a reservation two weeks in advance especially in the summer, as it gets booked fast. It is a great vineyard you need to absolutely come.
google avatar

Jillian D.

Yelp
This was our first visit to the Hamptons. We were looking for something different to do from the city. This vineyard is beautiful and a must visit! The servers were full of life and having fun. The food was really good although a tad expensive (not surprising) the wine flights were INCREDIBLE. We also had a few of the different ciders and ended up purchasing a few 4 packs. There is another area of the vineyard that's an outdoor wine shop - you can walk but it isn't very safe. Can uber! Put this on your list when you're in Sag Harbor
google avatar

Angela B.

Yelp
Nice find while driving around the Hamptons. Made a reservation same day and glad we were able to snag a table. The location is picture perfect and the service followed suit. Got a table outside right at the edge so had an unobstructed view of the vineyard. Tried flights of wine and all were good with the charcuterie board to munch on. I would have love to stay longer and try other wines, but sadly...didn't make a full weekend out of this trip. And since we already had lunch, didn't get to try the other food items on the menu.
google avatar

Brenda C.

Yelp
A really nice winery in the Hamptons. we tried a couple different flights of wine as well as some of their in house made ciders. All were great! Also tried the deviled eggs (yum!) and the salted caramel bon bons (VERY good!) Totally worth a stop, no reservations needed!
google avatar

Mesut Y.

Yelp
Wölffer Estate Vineyard is a wine lover's utopia! My wife and I indulged in the sublime White Vine Pinot Gris, savoring every sip amidst the picturesque vineyards and sophisticated ambiance
google avatar

Lorian T.

Yelp
If you'd like a relaxing time with quality on all ends, this is the winery for you! All wines are entirely different - trying a flight is in your best interest! They do not disappoint when it comes to taste! Small snacks are available - the pretzel and stone ground mustard is a must try! Sometimes the wind/overhead fans are a bit uncomfortable when it's cold, but they try their best to accommodate. Give it a try and don't forget to take pictures with your family and friends!
google avatar

Yelp
Love this place the vibe live music everything about it We are going there every summer and take friends and family
google avatar

Amy G.

Yelp
I have been stopping In every summer and love their French Rose. Yes, French. Fun to bring friends for a visit of the beautiful vineyard. Everyone is kind & helpful. The food is perfect to go with wine pairing. We have a small window of time & our server kindly accommodated us. Always enjoy this local spot.
google avatar

Joyce K.

Yelp
A+ for ambience, A for wine, but a B- for service and food. The estate is truly beautiful from the outside to the interior. We had mistakenly booked reservations at their restaurant (20 mins away) and not their winery, so they sat us at a low-height table near the entrance. We noticed that their outside deck had plenty of empty tables, so we asked if we could sit outside. The waitress gave us a really passive aggressive response about how all the tables were already reserved. Anyway... the wine was good! We tried a flight of "around the world" and a rose flight. We also ordered an Italian flatbread which was extremely overpriced ($24) for the meager amount. I guess they justify high prices based on demand and their epic location, but there was a bit of sticker shock in terms of the tiny portions. All in all, glad to have visited but probably won't be back.
google avatar

Yelp
Nestled in the heart of the Wolffer Estate Vineyard offers an enchanting escape for wine enthusiasts. Their meticulously crafted wines, ranging from robust reds to crisp whites, showcase the region's rich terroir. The tasting room, adorned with rustic elegance, provides a cozy yet sophisticated ambiance. Knowledgeable staff guide guests through each pour, enhancing the overall experience with their passion and expertise. Vine Bliss Winery is a must-visit destination for those seeking exceptional wines and a memorable vineyard visit.
google avatar

Yelp
The place away from home that makes you feel that you're in Napa Valley. Service was excellent. Food was delicious. The atmosphere felt like a breath of fresh air. I love absolutely everything about this place and the wine tasting flight was great. I highly recommend the Long Island Merlot and the Cabernet Franc. Definitely a place to be!
google avatar

Holly K.

Yelp
Wow! Wolffer Estate is beautiful. We made reservations for an 11am tasting. At first the place was pretty empty, but it started to fill up. Their patio is beautiful, with the natural wood, chandeliers, and views of the vineyard, you really can't beat it. I loved how they laid their tastings out and made it clear what each wine was like. I went with the Around The World tasting. The wines were really quite delicious, probably because the wines weren't all from NY. It included some of their wines from France and Chile as well. They are of course well known for their Summer in a Bottle rose and it did not disappoint. I ended up buying two bottles to take with me from the wine stand. The snacks were also very tasty, the dip sampler had a great variety and I'd highly recommend it. We also stopped by their Wine Stand later in the day. If you would like to drink wine after the tasting, the Wine Stand is certainly the more economical spot to go. The bottle was about $50 to sip on it at the estate, but you can buy it for $27 at the Wine Stand. Overall such a wonderful afternoon, with gorgeous scenery, and tasty wine. I would definitely come back the next time I'm in the area. Be sure to make a reservation ahead of time!
google avatar

Claudia B.

Yelp
RESERVATIONS ARE A MUST... even in their off-peak season. It was PACKED when we went, which was on a mid-afternoon Friday in early April. We really enjoyed our experience, but next time, I'd probably elect to eat some of their food with our wine flight. We had eaten lunch elsewhere, so when we got here, we weren't hungry at all. I honestly had no idea that Wolffer offered food in addition to wine... not to mention, food that would have complimented the wines nicely. I guess we'll have to come back and do it the "right" way. :-) We ended up buying Summer in a Bottle, which is their Rose', not to mention, their most popular item. I love the wine bottle decor as much as the wine. It was a fun experience.
google avatar

Michelle C.

Yelp
I ordered the Rose flight, a cheese board and my husband had a couple different wines. Everything was great, the service was great, the property is beautiful. It was the highlight of our trip to the Hamptons
google avatar

Paulina L.

Yelp
Great winery! Had a reservation with a fairly large group for a friends birthday. The service was quick and awesome! Most of us enjoyed the Rose flight but also tried some other tasty wines as well. The wine was delicious! Can't wait to come back to try some more.
google avatar

Michael O.

Yelp
Greattt view amazing amazing wine . The staff was super amazing. Would come again . The view was breathtaking :)
google avatar

Melanie T.

Yelp
This vineyard is super popular and hard to get reservations and I can see why. It's very pretty and aesthetic, has ample space for large groups. Saw a few bachelorettes and birthdays while I was there. They offer tastings as well as glasses. I opted for the tasting which was a bit pricey in my opinion. The wines were standard and didn't really stand out. I would go back for the setting and for special occasions
google avatar

Aphatsara G.

Yelp
It's very amazing restaurant and wine shop I really love it . I love rose wine I recommend that and they have pretty view . And pizza so good
google avatar

Juju W.

Yelp
A beautiful winery reminiscent of the wineries of Napa and Sonoma. The beautiful high ceiling exposed beams interior reverberated w live music. The wine flights were a great way to try the different varieties. A nice food menu was available. Even though the weather wasn't the best, the beautiful vineyards compensated and I would def come back on a sunny day. The music was great and I felt I was on vacation.

Jim S.

Yelp
Great wines Super nice atmosphere Wonderful service. Great place a summer afternoon. I can't to try it in the winter.
google avatar

Lorenzo M.

Yelp
The Harvest Festival was the best! Great weather, food, drinks, activities, and music! The whole team kept this party going in the right direction! Keep doing what you're doing Wolffer Estate!
google avatar

Lauren K.

Yelp
By far the most beautiful winery I've ever been to! Service was great too, workers were all attentive and friendly. Great for taking pictures. We got the burrata and it was great
google avatar

Samantha C.

Yelp
This is more of a 3.5 rating and I am purposely scoring on the lower side because for what everyone says about visiting this vineyard, I was shocked at how lackluster it was. It was disappointing but not so much so that I would never go back. Here's the scoop: This vineyard is absolutely gorgeous. From the ornate fountain at the entrance, to the beautiful tasting room, and the gorgeous grounds Wolffer has all the makings of an amazing vineyard. They have a killer menu you can order food from (we got the shishito peppers to pick on) and some of the best wine that Long Island has to offer. A fan favorite is Summer in a Bottle. It's light and crisp and pretty much liked by all who try it. But all this made up for what they lacked in service. Pro-tip: You MUST make a reservation. And once you make that reservation, be prepared to sit in a sea of people. It was just my cousin and I and we were seated in a corner with not much of a view. After our food and flight order, it took forever to get everything and once we did, it was hard to find anyone to help us. We just stuck with the one flight and the peppers and tried to take pics by (not in) the vineyard like many other people, but for some reason we kept on being told we couldn't. This was off putting because we waiting for a huge group to finish before taking ours and while they were undisturbed, we kept on being told we couldn't go anywhere near the vineyard to take a picture. Last shout out is to the person who works in the store who let me try the gin. And although I'm a huge fan of gin, theirs didn't do it for me. Maybe it's just my taste, but it was awesome for the staff to let me try it. This vineyard is definitely worth another shot. Standby for the update!

Mackenzie H.

Yelp
The winery is absolutely breathtaking. Their rose is very good! The harvest pizza was outstanding. Service was good. The somilier came over to tell us about the wines as well for a while. Good experience!
google avatar

Daniel S.

Yelp
I've enjoyed the wine and the service!! Fantastic wine and the eats are great. Go and check it out talk to Joshua, very knowledgeable with wine .
google avatar

Paula L.

Yelp
absolutely a beautiful place to visit. Definitely need reservations if you want to sit outside. Everything was very good, but nothing mind blowing about their food or wine. The flatbread with brie cheese, prosciutto, fig and honey was really good. The charcuterie board was OK, disappointing that they did not give crackers with it. I would definitely go with the flat f bread over the charcuterie if I were going to get one over the other.
google avatar

Jennifer H.

Yelp
Had nicer wine tastings at less revered vineyards. Always a turnoff when an experience seems greedy & impersonal. Reserved for a wine tasting. Ordered Rosé & White Horse flights, because no option to select individual wines or acclaimed Rosé ciders. Given a wine glass & carafe of water to rinse glass in between tastings. (I'm used to each wine being served in its own drinking vessel- who wants wine diluted by water or co-mingled with previous pour?!) No palate cleanser. Never been to a tasting where something, a communion wafer (sarcasm), isn't offered. When I inquired, was asked if I wanted to order food. "Dinner plans in 2 hours, just a palate cleanser please." Waiter brought 4 Carr's crackers on a saucer & billed us $3. Have no words. Spent over $100 on a few sips of wine that didn't include what I came to try & you felt need to charge a dollar per cracker. Hostess led us to table outside without speaking a word. Waiter kicked off experience informing us he knows little about the wines. Table kept getting bussed despite me declining the reach, twice. Meaning, staff cleared flight tray which included identification card before I was done. Now I'm trying wines without even knowing what I'm trying- the whole point of a wine tasting! Grounds pretty. Wines enjoyable. Purchased 3 bottles in their store & two 4-packs Rosé cider for $20 more than what tasting cost! Moral of story, skip tasting (which really isn't a tasting just a food & drink menu) & grab whole bottles of what you want to try. Will cost the same, you'll get 5x the quantity, & be able to dissect it in comfort without being rushed or disregarded. I don't know Hamptons, are my expectations greater than that of a New Yorker?
google avatar

Bill M.

Yelp
Nice winery. Gorgeous back patio with views of the vineyard. We didn't get a table outside because we walked up so grab reservations for those. We tried the estate flight with 2 whites and 2 reds. All were pretty tasty. I got a full glass of the red blend then the Pinot noir. The Pinot was really good. Orders the toasty which was awesome with the wines. Isabella was awesome and too great care of us.
google avatar

Cecile W.

Yelp
Delicious wine and excellent service, but only 4 stars due to the price. I got the Best of New York flight, and it was very expensive for four 2-Oz pours ($40). I understand you're paying for ambiance and location, but the high prices are a big disclaimer for those looking to go on a wine tour in the Hamptons.
google avatar

Namrata P.

Yelp
Nice wine selection to select from ( both alcoholic and non alcoholic wines are available). The vineyard is photogenic and the place is upscale. The service was great
google avatar

Melissa V.

Yelp
Beautiful entrance, beautiful rustic atmosphere inside, and out! We didn't need reservations walking in. As soon as you walk in there's a cute little gift shop and you can see the winery from the window. Bathrooms at the front and with changing tables! If you ask then there is an opportunity to taste some of the available wines / gin to purchase, all you have to do is ask. There's seating forward the front and a bar as well. You can get seated outdoors. We went in February and they have heaters on! Definitely comfortable enough to take your jacket off. You can see the property lit up with lights outdoors. There's a large menu enough to have a glass of wine, mixed drink, food, flights, and things to share. It seems kid friendly, there were some toddlers and babies there. Loved the vibe and can't wait to see it in the summer time!
google avatar

Samantha G.

Yelp
Had a great time here! The wine was good, lots of roses on the menu. The Burrata and cheese plate was also great. The service was very friendly and nice. The building was beautiful. A great backdrop!

Yelp
We booked the $95/pp wine tour and it was worth every penny. Our guide, Fairley, was wonderful and super knowledgeable. In the main tasting room (which is absolutely gorgeous) she walked us through three wines and the history of the winery. Outside we learned about the different types of grapes, trellising, and the agricultural process. We then took a tour of the processing area and we're able to see some of the machines in process and had questions answered by some of the staff. We finished in the cellar, where we tasted more wine while learning about the barrels and the finishing process of the wines. This was the most informative wine tour I have ever been on. I would definitely recommend!

N D.

Yelp
Beautiful vineyard, good food and lots of wines to pick from. We had a really nice time in the tasting room and bought half a dozen bottles to take home. The cheese and meat board was very good, the pretzel was hot and fresh, the flat bread (Italian) was ok, nothing special, but not bad.
google avatar

Marianna P.

Yelp
We were in downtown Southampton for the day and figured why not check out this vineyard! I'm so glad we did. The location is breathtaking. I was in awe from how beautiful this place is! The staff was so sweet to us. You can walk around, take pictures and order their wine by the bottle. They have limited food items on the menu so we stuck with cheese and meat boards. The charcuterie was average. We also got the shishito peppers, those were great. They also have a large gift shop with branded items and their bottles of champagne and wine. I highly recommend Summer in a Bottle!! It was our FAVORITE!

Yelp
The most horrible service I've ever experienced. They sat us at a section where tables were not even properly set up, while the other section that were set up nicely with flowers were almost empty. They only gave us one menu for two of us, again, the place was empty at the time we arrived. When we ask to move to another table, one of the servers asked rudely, "where are you looking at?" The server can't answer any questions about food or cider. Then the food came out while we still deciding on drinks. When they put the food down, one person wasn't even at the table, they just let the food sat on the table and get cold. Then the wrong drink came out, and the server took a long time to came back. When she eventually came back, instead of apologizing, she questioned us. After we ordered a cider, she started pouring it into my glass filled with iced, instead of asking if I would like it with ice, I have to pour it into a wine glass to filter out the ice. It's a cold rainy day by the way. The food, wine and the view were the reason we came here, food was good and we bought a few bottles of wine home. We decided to leave after a couple appetizers and a cider and get lunch somewhere else instead, because staffs were just too unwelcoming... I manage one of the top rated wine focused Michelin star restaurant in downtown manhattan, and I can assure you that everything we've experienced today was unacceptable from the service point of view.
