Wolf's Ridge Brewing - Review - Downtown - Columbus - The Infatuation

"Wolf’s Ridge has been a triple threat for over a decade, serving equally excellent craft beer, cocktails, and food. This Downtown brewery restaurant offers two distinct experiences: a greenery-filled dining room and a warehouse-esque taproom. The weekend brunch is one of the finest in the city, when the spotlight is put on comfort food dishes like gravy-soaked biscuits, a drippy burger, and eggs benedict with pork cheek. If you only try one Wolf’s Ridge beer, make it their coffee vanilla cream ale, Daybreak, that has a nice balance of sweetness. But their reimagined cocktails like the G & T with gin, yuzu, and elderflower tonic are worth extending brunch for another round." - Erin Edwards

Where To Eat & Drink Before A Columbus Crew Game

"The decision about where to have brunch before a Crew game should start and end with Wolf’s Ridge Brewing. Go to the greenery-filled dining room for brunch dishes like steak and sunny eggs and their toad in the hole with fluffy brioche that’s stuffed with eggs and topped with beer-cheese sauce. They have a more casual taproom that’s solid too—there are old-timey, factory-style windows, communal tables, and shareable plates like big pretzels, crispy truffle fries, and pierogies." - erin edwards

On the Grid : Wolf's Ridge Brewing & Tap Room

"A Downtown craft brewery and restaurant hotspot. This family owned and operated eatery offers a seasonal new American menu that naturally pairs perfectly with their extensive tap list. Its large but casually beautiful space is farmhouse-meets-warehouse, and you’re sure to find a seat at one of their huge communal tables made from old growth hickory. Focused on traditional German and Belgian ales, the adjacent tap room sports an impressive bar with a large list of WRB brews, many of which aren’t available in the restaurant. The Clear Sky—their American Cream Ale—is one you’ll want to drink all night." - Fort

Went to the tap room on a warm Sunday afternoon, and it was pretty quiet. I had never had their beer before at all, and the service was great giving me recommendations and offering samples. Service was fantastic, the beer was lovely, and I enjoyed the urban but quiet vibe outside. The patio is on an alley, so there’s not a lot of cars or commotion. Lovely.

Every time I've dined at Wolf's Ridge, it has been outstanding. This latest time was no exception. We stopped in for brunch. I had the Loaded Tots. My fiance had the Toad in the Hole. We loved it all. Our server was Lexi (I hope I got that correct). She was very friendly, attentive, and provided useful recommendations for both in-house and around Columbus.

My family and I had a wonderful brunch experience at Wolf's Ridge this past Saturday. We had made reservations, which I highly recommend, as it seemed to be a popular spot. We were seated promptly and the food arrived surprisingly fast, which was a huge plus with our two little ones. They absolutely devoured the pancakes and fruit bowl – a definite kid-pleaser! My WRB Benny's were absolutely delicious, perfectly cooked and flavorful. My wife thoroughly enjoyed her meal, "Toad in the Hole,". Our waitress was attentive and responsive, making sure we had everything we needed. Overall, it was a fantastic brunch and we'll definitely be back!

Google
We visited Wolf Ridge for brunch while visiting for the weekend, it was superb. The menu had great variety and simultaneously thematic. The coffee we ordered was fantastic as well as the cocktails and each thing we ordered. Generous portions and balanced plates, we were so content after enjoying brunch here. Each plate came with fresh and delicious bites. We had the pierogis, steak and eggs and Gordita. Everything was 10/10 for flavor, quality and price.

Food was really good, the staff was nice, and there was not a super long wait for food! I ordered the vegetable perogies and I got 8 or 9 perogies! The atmosphere was very pretty too. Would definitely recommend!

My wife's and I'm have a great experience her before a blue jackets game. We both felt a bit under dressed but the staff were courteous and get friendly. The food here is amazing!!! Every dish is thoughtfully out together and looks incredible. We are definitely coming back here to try the rest of the menu

Google
I love the coffee cream ale, so when I found Wolf's Ridge within walking distance, I had to see. They had the coffee cream ale on draft, but I elected to get the orange IPA. A bit light and bubbly and I didn't love it as much as some of their other beers. I had a couple of the happy hour cocktails after that and they were excellent! I thought I had a couple more photos. I didn't have anything to eat. The space was cool, light and airy. Greenery on the wall. Open-ish kitchen. The service was warm and pleasant! I'll definitely want to see what they have that's different when I am back in a few months!

Google
If they have a duck option when you go you should order it. The duck breast was so delicious and tender and cooked perfectly. It comes with a delicious mushroom risotto. Last time I went before that I had the duck pot pie which was fantastic and memorable. The cocktails are great! Also, the modern atmosphere is bright, airy, and comfortable.

Yelp
Brunching here for the first time while waiting for my car oil change and tire rotation around the corner. I love trying new brunch spots so this seemed like a good spot to grab a bite. Burnt Edge Hash and a Bloody Mary were my choices from the menu. They also surprised me with a shot of the award winning beer -Day Break. I'm not a beer drinker but this was delicious. The burnt edge hash was so good. I would order it again. The atmosphere is great. I saw large families and couples dining. The staff is excellent. Super friendly and helpful. I had lots of questions since this was my first time here, and they were all so helpful and engaging. Since I was dining alone, it was nice to see they would be friendly and social. Prices seem fair in relation to the portions you get. And the flavor was bold and spicy, which I love. I lucked onto a good find today. I will most certainly be back and recommend this place to my friends. I have nothing but good to say. Hats off to the bar tender/servers who made my dining experience a positive one.

Yelp
Solid brewery with lots of choices! Love that they also offer wine and cocktails, I think you'd be hard pressed to not be able to find a drink for everyone here. The tajin walking taco was very interesting and a perfect twist on what otherwise may have been a "normal" beer I had time to kill during a conference trip so I wandered down with my book and had a beer at the bar. Some of the rest of our group wanted a bite to eat between meetings so they joined me and we were able to put together a few tables so they could join. Service was good when it was just me, but I think they were overwhelmed once the rest of the group got there. Some of our party tried to order drinks at the bar to make it easier since there were only two servers and one was already pouring drinks, but was told that we needed to order from the table. Which resulted in a much longer wait (again two servers) and some of the group opting to not get drinks due to the timing. Food seemed good from everyone else's input!

Yelp
The beer, appetizers, atmosphere and staff were great. Each of us did a flight and started with the vegetarian schnitzel which was well seasoned and tasty. We shared a wedge salad which had in-house dressing that was delightful and had fresh dill. But the entrees cannot be overlooked. I ordered the trout with crispy skin and couscous. It was awful. I felt like I was served gruel. Perhaps I don't actually like trout, because it was tepid, bland, yet super fishy. I felt like I was licking a dead fish. The only thing going for it was the crispy skin (unseasoned?!) which was ruined by the "tableside aromatic broth" which was basically the waiter pouring hot water on the fish. The couscous was similarly bland. I took 2 bites of each and did not eat any more. Visually was also terrible, nothing fresh on the plate. My husband had chicken with beans which was similarly unseasoned. His at least looked nice, but was also bland and the beans tasted as if they came from a tin. The waitress did not appear to notice that we didn't eat our food, but it's not as if she is the blame for the menu. For not eating our entrees, an expensive night out. We won't be back for dinner, though may be open minded about brunch based on the good service, atmosphere, and beer.

Yelp
The beer was moderate. I had a burger and thought it was really good. The service was poor. We walked in with about 25 people (baseball tournament) and everyone was being quiet and respectful, but the server immediately had an attitude and seemed like she did NOT want us there. Mind you, the place was not crowded at all so I'd think they'd be happy for some business on a Thursday night. The servers attitude continued throughout dinner. She missed taking one of the boys order and when I shared that with her and asked if she could take his order, she rolled her eyes and didn't say a word. His meal came 25 minutes after the rest of his teammates did. I would not return here based on this service.

Yelp
Wolf's Ridge has three distinct dining experiences. In their dining room is brunch and dinner, but the taproom has a nice menu of its own. That's what we tried on a Sunday afternoon, and the crowd ranged from 6 year olds to 60 year olds. Accompanying my Build Your Own flight of beer was a large but pedestrian tasting pretzel. It's rare that I say this regarding pretzels, but the dijon mustard was better than the beer cheese, because the latter tasted more like beer than cheese. My counterpart got the Pierogis and the sampling of it that I stole was impressive. My dish was the Chorizo Mac, and the combination of the meat, mac & cheese, and pickled onions blended well... though not spectacularly. The taproom trip was about what I thought it would be. I'm curious to try the dining room for that higher end experience that many locals rave about.

Yelp
Came here as a walk-in in with my girl friends Saturday night. It was my first time here and it did not disappoint! We were able to get a table as soon as we got there and our server was there within a few short minutes. We ended up getting the pretzel bites and each got the burger with fries. The food was AMAZING! The pretzel bite especially I was obsessed with. Everything was full of flavor and came out quickly. Can't wait to go back and try more!

Yelp
We stopped here for dinner on a Sunday and ate in their tap room since the dining room is closed Sundays. The tap room is a large warehouse space with many wooden long tables, window bar seating and two booths. We lucked out and scored one of the comfy booths. So very comfy!!! The server we had was amazing and definitely added to the night. Just such good energy and a fun personality. He made us laugh every time he came over. Two of the items we had wanted to order they had sold out of before we had arrived. We ended up ordering: two gyros meals, one falafel sandwich and a fried chicken sandwich. We had wanted to pair the sandwiches w/salads as we had done prior visits but learned... no more salads. Boo. (There went a star). The sandwiches are a bit expensive for sandwiches at $20, $21 and $22 (respectively) We paired everything with different wolfs ridge beers and left full and happy....

Yelp
Had dinner here with a couple work colleagues. Great service and delicious food--we all liked our meals and the fish they served was sustainable. Menu noted vegan and GF options which was appreciated. One colleague enjoyed his sampling of beers and my other colleague and I enjoyed one of their house cocktails, neroli, which was delicious. The restaurant is beautifully designed and feels intimate but it was loud. Cool living wall running length of restaurant. Would go again.

Yelp
INCREDIBLE brunch! Service on a Sunday morning was surprisingly fast. We were in and out in an hour and that included sitting and chatting for a while. Family was in out of town and wanted to see the taproom and merchandise but it didn't open for an hour--our server talked to the manager and allowed us to go back and check it out! HIGHLY recommend the WRB Benny and the WRB Griddle Sandwich that my family members got. I got eggs, potato hash, and a fruit cup a la carte and also highly recommend that--especially the potato hash. I don't think you could go wrong with anything you get here.

Yelp
We recently stopped by Wolf's Ridge Taproom and had a good time. They have a few bar top seats, but the majority are large picnic tables. There is a small outdoor area in the side alley with some seating. The atmosphere is pretty sweet. Solid choice of beers, with a few rotating each month. We did not try the food, but I've heard great things, especially about the brunch. Would definitely come back to try the food. Of note, they have happy hour Tuesday through Friday from 3-6pm which includes $1 off drafts, $2 off build your own flights and $2 off pretzels & wings.

Yelp
Love the environment. Been here a few times for events and parties. I'd love to come and just dine here. The dining hall looks beautiful. Service has always been great. No problems here. The food was really good as well. We had a private event space out back and we got a sample of A lot of things. Will definitely come back

Yelp
This was my second time in for dinner. My first time (over a year ago) wasn't representative of the typical experience I don't think, as they were super short staffed during a covid spike. We visited last night and the food, ambiance and service were wonderful. This spring menu is great. We couldn't pick between all of the entrees which all sound so good. Wanted to order them all! If I came back, I'd add the spring pasta to the mix which is a vegan pappardelle with veg and a cream sauce. Favorites were the crispy sage mushrooms which are lion's mane, walleye (the house XO sauce mmm), and the pork chop. The desserts can't be missed either. They were both creative and delicious. I enjoyed the bergamot which is their take on a negroni. I won't ever pass up a negroni variation. Plates -crispy sage mushrooms -fried smelt -tomahawk pork chop -quail -walleye -barleywine sponge cake -strawberry rhubarb crisp Drinks -cocktails: bergamot, pear x2 -fabelist cab sauvignon

Yelp
Stopped into the Taproom for dinner. Got the pierogis and fish and chips. Everything was super yummy!! Especially the garlic fries. I couldn't stop eating those!! The taproom is super casual and they have tons of beers to choose from. Love it there!!

Jacob M.

Yelp
This review is for the Dining Room. I appreciate the commitment to quality ingredients, but felt that our appetizer (bread basket) and entrees (pork t-bone and trout) left a little to be desired. The quality and flavor of the trout and t-bone were both good. However, the dish felt incomplete with the sides that came with the entrees. The t-bone could use a sauce as well. I left the dining room feeling content but wanting a bit more from my meal. Biggest complaint is the price for what we got. Paying $130 for two after a 20% tip for a drink each, an app and two entrees was too much. I'll come back to Wolf's Ridge, but it'll always be the tap room. I enjoy the food more there as well.

Yelp
Really cozy tap room with restaurant in downtown Columbus. Only had a pint and my wife a cocktail, and they were very good. Service was pleasant and welcoming. Will happily return.

Yelp
Easily one of my new favorite places in the city. The fall menu is thoughtful, unique yet familiar, delicious and comforting. Loved the popcorn on the butternut soup. The dining room has a warm, cozy vibe that is intimate and communal at the same time. Service is outstanding. Joel was welcoming, kind, and knowledgeable. All the details are in place here and it sets them apart. We will keep coming back! Came for dinner but will also check out the taproom next time.

Yelp
I stopped by here for a couple of drinks which were great and something that really stood out was the interior design of the place. It was gorgeous. The bartender was very attentive and made sure that we had what we needed. I definitely want to stop by again and try out their food, because seeing the food being run out was incredibly tempting. It all looked so fabulous.

Yelp
Came here for brunch for the first time! Service was prompt and I really liked the ambiance of the dining area. The food was amazing. Portion sizes were fairly large so it made for some good sharing plates. We got the breakfast pierogies & the chicken and hotcakes. Pierogies were perfect - topped with pork belly and an egg. Filled with your normal pierogi mixture and fried to perfect -- that beer cheese dipping sauce was great. The chicken was fried super crispy and the jalopeno hot cakes was a perfect pairing. Highly recommend.

Yelp
Post Covid update. Or whatever. It's been brunches, dinners, happy hours, night caps. Caveat emptor: I am in the "Wolf Pack" (the brewery fan club). They have been killing it front and back of the house. I won't lie - the food CAN be too eclectic for some palates. You don't send your friend who loves Texas Roadhouse to a place like this for steak. You have to know what you're walking in to. It's beer. Yeah, they made a lager and pilsner, maybe it'll sate the Budweiser drinker. They have a burger. They have truffle fries. It's anything BUT basic. If you like good food, and good beer - it's an awesome place. But it's not going to cater to everyone, and that's a level set some people need. Personally? Some of my favorite beer in town, and taproom/front of house, some great service and some of the best (seasonal) food I have come across.
google avatar

Jen C.

Yelp
While the atmosphere was pleasant, that is unfortunately where the good parts of this restaurant ended. The service was slow, when we could get our waiter's attention. It was impossible to get refills on drinks. When the food came out, the presentation was nice, but the food fell flat. The "Nashville hot" catfish tasted like it came out of a creek and they covered it in a lot of pepper. No Nashville hot sauce or seasoning. Several people in our group had the duck, which the server raved about. Everyone said it was ok, but gamey. We all passed on dessert, as our dinners left us leery of the choices. I would not go there again.

Yelp
Always love Wolfs Ridge! I think that they make some of the best beer in Columbus! We were really impressed with the food in the tap room as well. Great place to stop by for beers and a great meal!

Absolutely fantastic!!! Great food, beer, and vibe! Staff were great! Clean restaurant & restrooms. I really liked the decor and seating. Parking is difficult.

Yelp
In all my time in Columbus, I hadn't been here until recently and wish I had been here sooner! Came with a bunch of classmates for a class celebration and we had a lot of fun! There are 3 separate but connected spaces- a brewery side, dining area, and cocktail/games area. We started out on the brewery side and got drinks and some wings which were awesome and a great deal for happy hour. They have a mix of beers on draft including IPAs, sours and various ales. After the brewery side, we went over and grabbed a cocktail and played games (basketball, foosball and ping pong) which was incredibly entertaining. We didn't make it over to the dining side though the food looked good! All bartenders were friendly and prompt. Had a great experience and will be back!

Yelp
Finally had my first visit to the restaurant after having been to the taproom and enjoying their beers sooooo many times. I'd been told by others the food in the taproom is better, but I was excited to try it out. We were warmly greeted and shown to a two-top, which was cozy but with only the wood partition we felt like we could barely talk over the people sitting on the other side. Service was wonderful, our waiter was really friendly and helpful with suggestions. I had the carrot cocktail, and it was one of the best cocktails I've had in awhile, love the smoky mezcal flavor. He got a stout and didn't love it as much as he thought he would, but wolf ridge usually has such great beer there are no worries there. Our waiter suggested we start with the elote tostada, and it was yummy, love the corn and seasoning on that. As a vegetarian gluten free eater, I was excited there were options for me, and pad Thai is one of my favorite meals, but man, it was not good. If I had to rate just one that dish alone, it'd be one star. There was absolutely no flavor, just felt like dry rice noodles. Was there a sauce? I don't think so, and only a few peppers and onions as veggies. I quit eating it quickly, and the servers only miss was not asking me about it. I'm not a big complainer, so I took it to go, and actually doctored it up myself the next day and then it was good lol. My bf got the duck, which he hasn't eaten in a long time, and it wasn't his fav, but not bad either. I'm really torn on my eating because something's were sooooo good (that cocktail) but I'm not sure I'd come back to dinner because of that pad thai. I'll stick to the tap room probably.

Yelp
We went here at Christmas time. It was a great treat with ambience and amazing food. Service was great too!

Yelp
I wasn't expecting this to be as wonderful an experience as it was! The beer I tried (Daydream) was flavorful and delicious, and even though I'm no expert, it was superior to many I've tried. Since I'm out of town, I decided not to go "safe" with items I've had previously and so I tried the Pork Cheeks served over polenta. The tenderness and flavor was unmatched. It left me wondering if I'd ever had good pork before (I have!). The chocolate creme brûlée was a bit safer of a choice and did not disappoint. The location and ambiance was (as I've come to expect from breweries) interesting and while not fancy exactly, the dining room had a polish that made dining there an experience. Tap room was comfortable and seemed like a nice place to hang with friends. Service was excellent. Thanks, Drew for keeping up with us and being helpful and informative about food choices. If I came to Columbus again, I'd have to make a repeat visit.

Yelp
Came here on a Friday evening. Was able to get parking in the lot but had to pay a little. Was able to get a seat on the taproom side. Lots of great beer options. Ordered pierogis to split among the group. They were delicious but a little pricy ~$16. The server was really nice and attentive. Nice atmosphere there, very chill. I ordered the chicken sandwich and really enjoyed it. The chicken and sauces were delicious. The pretzel pun really makes the sandwich. This place can add up to be a little pricer with beer and meal. But overall great food and a great experience!

Yelp
The atmosphere in the dinning room at Wolf's Ridge is lovely. So is the staff. I ordered a flight of five beers. Three of which were the waitress's recommendations and two were holiday specials. The holiday beers can be skipped. Those were not good. I did like the Oktoberfest beer and if you enjoy a coffee flavor/scented beer, then daybreak will be a nice choice. Would I choose this over other microbrews? No. For dinner, it's pretty much all entrées. Some items can be considered appetizers, but it's not broken down in categories as such. If that's what you were expecting, then you will have to make the decision based on what you feel is appropriate. I started with the escargot in puff pastry, then the duck breast, and ended with the fudge bar. In my opinion, there were elements of each dish that need improvements. The escargot needed a little extra bit of salt. While the puff pastry was done golden, and flaky...with the escargot with caramelized onions and celery(?)...it was very dry. There need to perhaps be a bit of herbs butter or even a velvety white wine sauce, to give it a bit of moisture. Not to make it soggy, but just so that it's not dry on dry. For the duck breast, I thought the cook was perfect. Everything was good, except for the pickled squash. This was a misstep. The pickled squash was overly sour. It did not work well on its own or with the other elements in the dish. It actually overtook the dish. I think that if it has to be part of the dish, it needs salt, a bit of sugar, or honey, or even maple...for balance. Or omitted completely. The fudge bar was served with cherry ice-cream. All is well, until every few spoonfuls or so...you get a mouthful of salt. Not a touch of flaky salt to balance or complement the sweetness...but an actual punch of salt. It was questionable. I think that they have the right ideas; they just need to work on the details. Seasoning, fine tuning, removing things that don't make sense. Everything seems ALMOST right.

Yelp
Steve and I had one beer that we tried from Wolf's Ridge Brewing. Daybreak was the beer we had. This was a cream style ale with coffee and vanilla flavor features to it. Not a bad cream ale at all and I usually love this style of beer. Perhaps it's because it's on a infrequent basis and is a nice change of pace from commonly seen beer styles. Although this cream ale was enjoyed by Steve and myself it perhaps wasn't the best cream ale we've come across ever but in the broad spectrum of things still a solid cream ale.

Yelp
Their Spring Menu is live now! This place never lets me down. Everything was nicely plated and just simply delicious! Perfect for date night, friends & family gathering or business meal~ Also their Chef's tasting menu is finally back! It consists of 5 courses, and there is a vegetarian option available as well!

Yelp
Since my first review, I've been to Wolf's Ridge 4 or 5 times. The food is always top-notch, the beer is always very good, and the people are always great. The place is clean and I always wish I could have even more. I've gotta knock a tad off my review though because it's gotten a tad confusing in the taproom of what's going on. There are QR codes everywhere and signs that say you can order from the "ORDER HERE" sign posted by the bar. Once you order your beer and sit down, someone is coming up asking if they can get anything for you. My wife & I were there to absolutely grab a bite to eat as well, but just figured we were supposed to do that at the bar. We ended up placing it with the waiter and it came out great (as always.) There wasn't a ton of action stopping by to see if we needed anything, but we could use some water and didn't see any at that moment. So, we find our waiter and ask if we could get some water--he points us in the right direction. Which, on the surface, was really helpful. Since we didn't know if people are helping us or not, we headed to pay our tab at the bar. He catches us before we get there and we settle up. As we're paying the tip options are 30% / 25% / 20% -- I was pretty caught off guard. I realize he's doing work (and should be tipped for it), but what are we fully tipping for and why in the world is it so high? We're ordering at the bar, signs are telling us to, we're getting our own water, and the minimum expected is 20%?

The food was average for the price point. We waited over 30 minutes for our meals. I ordered soda water with lime, asked for a refill at some point and was charged $5 per drink, it wasn't a bottle of mineral water, just plain carbonated water from the soda nozzle.

Yelp
Food was extremely expensive for the taste. Bread tasted like fingernails I had pieces of wheat in it. the "jam" was onions. Seemed low effort. my trout tasted like a napkin zero flavor profile. The Whoopie pie was dry as the service which took forever on the food and didn't show up regularly.

Yelp
Service was great, love the idea of small plates but we aren't adventurous eaters so the idea of trying some of the gamier meats wasn't in our food palate. I love the idea of a tasting menu but wish they would add a seafood option. Cocktails were delicious. Wine is reasonably priced

Yelp
Good date night spot! Food is about what we expected but service was a little slow. I like the duck breast dish that I order but hubby wasn't overly impressed with his short ribs. Can use a tad more flavor.

Yelp
I made a brunch stop at this restaurant while in town for conference, and it did not disappoint! Lots of unique options, with vegetarian and gluten-free outlined on the menu. Service was friendly and food was top notch. The breakfast pierogi was my favorite. They had a diverse drink menu. Props to the chef and staff!

Yelp
1 star for now for being deceiving. Sign and yelp state open till 11pm. Got there before 9 and they won't take us due to their kitchen close at 9 and last order at 20 min before. Hmm.. Figure that out. Should say close at 8.30 instead.

Yelp
Had a great time at Wolf's Ridge Brewing. Each of the dishes have so many small component and flavor profile that make the dish as a whole. My favorite is the Strawberry Cheesecake. The presentation is great and I love the sorbet as part of the cheesecake.

Yelp
I always have loved wolfs ridge but never been for brunch! Amazing vibes and service would definitely recommend! I got the bloody mary which was great (can of course be a hit or miss at some places) and came with a daybreak which was unexpected but not complaining! I then got the toad in a hole which I loved! Exactly what I was expecting. My boyfriend got the farmhouse hash which he wasn't a huge fan of, but overall was definitely a success and would recommend!

Yelp
We had an amazing experience and would give 6 stars if I could. Their IPA is delicious and they have some fantastic food coming out of the kitchen.

Yelp
Wonderful brewery with a variety of eating areas, a great modern menu, and a great selection of drinks. We had our wedding in their event space, and the food was perfect, the staff were really pleasant and helpful, and the space was well maintained and set up.

Yelp
We didn't order anything to eat at the Taproom, but my friend had a few drinks. The atmosphere was nice and not overly loud, restroom was clean, server was friendly, and my friend said the beers were excellent.

Yelp
A strange and very limited menu. Didn't really find a beer that we liked. It was just OK. I guess you only come here if you know the menu and it specifically fits ur taste. Check the menu before you go.

Yelp
One of the best breweries in town. I love that that have a causal beer room side and a sit down restaurant side.

Yelp
Went to wolfs ridge yesterday for the first time with a large group of friends. Immediately loved the atmosphere. The taproom seats a lot of people and is spacious and open. They have many different beers on tap-all reasonably priced. Happy hour is mon-fri 3-6 and features deals on pretzels and wings and a few dollars off draft beer. They have a fairly extensive menu but not a ton of vegetarian options. There is a tofu burger on the menu, Mac n cheese, and some salads. My girlfriend ordered wings which she enjoyed. There is also a game room in the back with basketball, ping pong, and foosball, which everyone loved playing. They have a dining room as well which takes reservations. This place is perfect for a large group of people and also closely situated to some other popular bars nearby like pins.

Yelp
Stopped in here for a beer and dinner last night, and I am sure glad we did. Had great service sitting at the bar up front in the restaurant space. Nothing beats a pint of Daybreak - and I'm not even a coffee drinker! (For those not in the know, it's a "coffee vanilla cream ale") I ordered the Tempura Shrimp and The Pierogi for dinner - what can I say, I'm a big eater. I went ahead and had the kitchen bring them out at the same time. The pierogi plate was refreshingly simple - potato pierogi sautéed in butter, served with caramelized onions and sour cream. Wonderful! The shrimp was also very good, but the only two knocks were that it was a pretty small dish (not that I needed more food ), and the dish was just kind of lukewarm, almost a little cool (this may have been by design, I trust the chef). Other than that, the flavors were great! There is a sneaky heat to the dish, but like horseradish so it was just a quick burn.

Yelp
Super cool atmosphere. Very diverse and good tasting beer selection. Great food. They also have happy hour from 3-6 on weekdays! Would recommend

Yelp
Another successful restaurant week endeavor. We had reservations and were seated right away. The staff was friendly and very attentive without being overbearing. We lucked out and got to sit next to the window but the windows gave natural light to the whole restaurant. Its a very open space and has a beautiful live plant mural, def my type of ambiance. Food wise, things were also great. I started with the cajun fried frog legs, the cajun part was really just the remoulade but the legs were fried well, meat stayed tender and moist. I got the miso duck breast as my main. The forbidden rice was great, as were the maitake mushrooms, probably my favorite components of the dish. The pickled shimeji mushrooms were a bit too strong for my liking. It was very sharp and may have been too much of a contrast for me. The duck breast also wasn't the best, there was a bit of sinew which is never my favorite. I finished off with the bananas and bourbon which was good. I didn't get much bourbon flavor coming through but enjoyed the various textures, flavors, and temperatures of the dessert. Overall, I think Wolf's Ridge did an excellent job. The service and space are definitely major draws for me. I'll have to come back another time to try all their other offerings!

Yelp
Very cool place. In town on business and always looking for great local spots. Not disappointing in the least. Ordered a drink and dinner at the bar with a colleague. Excellent food.

Yelp
My friends and I were at the Wolf's Ridge Taproom over the weekend. My friend and I ordered the same type of beer and it was brought to the table as 10oz. The menu states that all beer is 16oz unless stated. There were other beers where they indicated a 10oz pour. When I asked about this, the server said that they are serving all 8% abv beers in 10oz pours. This was a 7.9%abv beer. I brought up the menu information and he notified the manager. The manager basically said that we couldn't get the 16oz and that he would change the menu. He made no effort to make it right and was planning to leave it with us paying $8 for 10oz. I won't typically pay that much and would have chosen another option if I had known before ordering. Another group member chose to argue this further and pointed out that it wasn't good for future business. I didn't completely hear the response of the manager, but the response wasn't winning him any points. After the manager left, the group vibe was quite a bit changed from when we came in and we were regretting our choice. A few minutes later, the manager returned and apologized for his response, stating he was dealing with difficult customers earlier and was more defensive. The apology was very sincere and very much appreciated and he covered the first round of drinks for the group. This made an immediate change in the vibe and mood of our group and we were able to enjoy ourselves and the delicious food! I wanted to post this because the manager showed great strength in admitting his mistake and taking ownership. We are all human and sometimes the stressors of life catch us off-guard. This manager showed his leadership skills by coming back to repair the relationship and I will be sure to return to Wolf's Ridge in the future!
