⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Wong’s Restaurant is an absolute gem! The food is fresh, flavorful, and always served hot. Every dish we tried tasted homemade with authentic flavors and generous portions. The orange chicken was perfectly crispy with just the right balance of sweet and tangy, and the Mongolian beef was tender and savory. The fried rice was packed with flavor and not greasy at all. Service was excellent too!!!! friendly, fast, and attentive without being overbearing. The restaurant itself has a warm and welcoming atmosphere, perfect for family dinners or a casual night out. Prices are very reasonable for the quality and portion sizes. If you’re looking for delicious Chinese food with consistently great service, Wong’s is the spot. Highly recommend and will definitely be coming back! PS. That's soup is to die for.

Google
Very friendly, Mei, the "Grandmother," took my order and was very informative. I learned they have been here for 30 years. That speaks volume as to their character. Mei said they are all family, though some are not related, greater is the family you choose. Had a good laugh while waiting for my order. I look forward to eating in-house next time. They are great.

Google
I’m in Phoenix for work, and after seeing all the rave reviews online, I had to give this place a try. Let me tell you—it did not disappoint. This is exactly how Chinese food should be! If I lived here, I’d be a regular. The food is classic, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. As a picky eater, I usually have some complaints, but this place nailed it. I ordered the hot and sour soup, king chicken, and the egg rolls and they were all delicious. The interior is modern and spotless, and the staff is incredibly warm and welcoming. I highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely be back the next time I’m in town!

Google
We went to Wong’s as a family for the first time tonight and it was a really great experience! The staff were so friendly and kind to my two year old and the rest of our family. The food was amazing, every dish we tried was fresh and delicious! And even though they were very busy we didn’t feel like we were waiting long at all because they were so attentive keeping our drinks filled and bringing out our soups and appetizers. From the moment we walked in the door we felt welcomed and like we were old regulars. We will definitely be returning and recommending this restaurant to all of our friends! Thanks for a great experience!

Google
First visit and was greeted nicely, as soon as I walked in. Food was great! Been in Arizona for 14 year’s, this food is closest to authentic Chinese food you’ll find. Enjoy!

Google
This is almost 5 stars for a reason. Great food. I had the beef onion in brown sauce. Was great. Wife had a shrimp dish. The 5$ add on for a combo is great but be wary of the mustard sauce. It is hot! Plenary of food and lots of rice. The staff is very good too! Had my drink refilled at least three times while sitting here.

Google
Been in the valley for 20+ years tried alot of chinese food, but this definitely takes the crown. Service was great, the restaurant is very clean, the food was amazing. Got the honey walnut shrimp, mongolian beef, beef fried rice and kung pao chicken. Will be back!!

Google
Wong’s is very clean, the food was delicious, and the portions are generous. We tried the Mongolian Chicken(without the spicy part) and beef with mushroom and onion.

Yelp
My partner has been here a handful of times and he finally took me to try it. We brought a bunch of friends to come try for the first time as well. We got their Sesame Beef, Salt and Pepper Chicken and Shrimp, Kung Pao Chicken, Wonton Soup, Fried Rice, and Crab Puffs. All I have to say is COME HERE! The service was so friendly, the food was SO good, and their menu is so big. When you walk in, it feels very homey and it's filled with regulars. A little more on the pricey side however, I think it's worth the price. 10/10 recommend.

Yelp
We've been getting our takeout from Wong's for about 7+ years now... the one owner even recognizes my voice when I'm calling in my order which is nice! They tend to get pretty busy since they're a sit down restaurant so on the weekend plan on 30-45 min sometimes for your Togo order but guaranteed it will be fresh & good. My hubby always gets the honey wings that are cooked perfectly & the bbq pork fried rice... they put egg in theirs, no need to request! I love their WorWonTon Soup, the veggies are always very fresh as well as the wontons with the chicken, bbq pork & shrimp! The bbq pork with mixed veggies is also another one of my faves, all the veggies are so crisp! We actually drive 20 minutes to Wongs because nothing in our area can even come close to the quality as this place & that's even after traveling the 20 minutes back in our car! Next time we go I will post some pics!!

Yelp
I'm so grateful to have this locally owned Chinese restaurant near my home. Wong's is the perfect cozy meal spot--whether it's a busy day and I need quick takeout, or I'm sitting down with family for something comforting and authentic. We've been coming here for a while now, and every time feels just as warm and welcoming as the last. The service is always quick, kind, and attentive--they genuinely make sure your needs are met. The food is flavorful, consistent, and executed really well. Everything tastes fresh and homemade with care. This place is definitely one of my hidden gems in the Avondale area. Highly recommend!

Yelp
This is my family's #1 spot for Chinese Food in the West Valley. The staff here is very nice & even when it is very busy, they keep their cool & serve you as fast as they can. I love that there are a lot of families & Seniors that visit as it makes the place feel more Family Friendly to me. Don't have many pics as it appears when the food arrives, we get to grubbin' ASAP! Highly recommeded. Our Regular Order: Honey walnut shrimp, Spicy Won Ton soup, Vegetable Lo Mein, Shrimp Lo Mein, Orange Chicken, Crab puffs, Spicy Shrimp Fried Rice, Salt & Pepper Chicken Wings, Sesame Chicken & Potstickers.

Yelp
10/10 this was soooooo good! We got there before noon and it was already packed like there was a little bit of a wait but it was worth it!!! Everyone was super nice and friendly definitely gave local gem vibes! The menu has something for everyone I got a combination plate and it was plenty of food. We got orange chicken, egg foo young, shrimp fried rice, house fun chow noodles and dumplings and I will say that everything that touched the table was delicious! Can't wait to go again!!!!

Lakyra B.

Yelp
Went for lunch, price was fine , well portioned. Food tasted good, service was completed in a timely manner.

Yelp
Easiest five star I will give out all day. The Chinese food was fresh, the chicken lean and succulent, and the sauces to perfection with just the right amount of zing. I ordered the Mongolian chicken lunch special, which came with egg drop soup and egg roll. All flavors impressed.

Yelp
2 years later. Just as good, just as fresh, just as hot, just as packed. Wong's was the first Chinese restaurant we tried when we moved to Arizona almost 3 years ago. The place is always packed and the food portions are big and tasty. This is a classic, "Americhinese" restaurant with all the standards: egg fu young, chow mein, sweet and sour whatever, House special chicken, twice cooked pork, Mongolian beef, etc., etc. The food here is top notch and service is always iffy, which is as expected. You don't want too good of service at a Chinese restaurant because that would be suspicious. They are properly cranky here but always accommodating and responsive. Sometimes it's just a little slow because the place gets PACKED. But that's also good. If you live anywhere toward the west side, check this place out. You won't be disappointed.

Strickland V.

Yelp
Came back to try a different flavor chicken. This time I got the Lemon Chicken lunch special and I wasn't a fan of the lemon sauce. However the customer service was always wonderful! The rice was so good! The egg rolls and crab puffs were hot fresh and super good!!! I will definitely be back but not for the lemon chicken lol
google avatar

Arlene G.

Yelp
The best Chinese food in the west valley! Came here once and that was yesterday. Had to rave about their food and location just because everyone should know. We ordered the wings fried rice, I made this spicy. They don't play about their heat. I loved it though. We also got the Mongolian Chicken- came spicy and had a nice kick to it. Flavors were on point. We also ordered a chicken fried rice. You can tell it's made FRESH! Signs inside suggest such and wait times are because of their freshness. Service was great. Order was packed nicely to take home for the car ride.

Yelp
This is our weekly spot! It's ALWAYS busy here, with big families, but people get sat pretty quickly. We usually get take out, and the quality is still amazing. The veggie fried rice and egg drop soup are our comfort foods! The decor is a little dated, but reminds me of getting Chinese food as a kid, so I kind of love it. We told our friend about it, and she said it's been her favorite spot for 8 years! We'll be back this week! :)
google avatar

Tony A.

Yelp
Our favorite Chinese spot in all of Arizona!!! Authentic food and consistent fresh ingredients. We eat here at least twice a month. Keep up the good work. We are all watching ............ TA
google avatar

Latrice J.

Yelp
Wongs is a family favorite and we have been going here for years. But this time it's been a year and it's exactly as expected consistent with food and service. They definitely have typical restaurant decor that could use updating but it definitely doesn't take away from the quality of the food.
google avatar

Ed L.

Yelp
This is not your bougie Asian place. The owner is sitting in one of the first booths with a bunch of clutter and doing the books, and it's packed and the take-out is non-stop. Lots of big parties at large round tables. The food is excellent and the staff is great. The pot stickers were crispy with a light and tasty wrapper. Pork fried rice was very good. Mu shu pork was fine, but nothing remarkable. Szechuan chicken was very good, but mild. We did hear other tables ordering extra spicy, which we should have done.
google avatar

Jenn B.

Yelp
Wow. Excellent food and service. I was surprised to see a line out the door on a Sunday afternoon/evening. We ordered a lot of food for our table and had a lazy susan table so we could share. Everything was top notch. We had so much it's hard to name. The noodle dishes were my very favorite. We ordered at least 12 things on the menu, and everything was great.
google avatar

Judy L.

Yelp
One of my favorite West side Chinese food places. I have to get the House Chicken (fried white meat chicken in a brown savory sauce with green onions). For $5 more make it a combo: egg roll, 2 crab puffs, and egg drop soup! I did not get their Cantonese fried noodles or chow fun this time, but those are good too! They are always friendly, quick, and on point! I have not had a bad experience with dine in or pick up orders.
google avatar

Yelp
best authentic chinese takeout in az. you pay a little more than other take outs but no one beats their food no matter what you ordered. aat least we have one excellennt chinese food where iys always excelkent. its in a dumpy oarking lot in a seedy area its not fancy but the food is real old school cooking over 750 reviews snd 4 1/2 star reviews but here in az they deserve a 5 star review. they are there for many years for a reason . if you are this good in a bad location they are number 1 for takeout . if you go anywhere else you missed out on the best oldfasgion authentic chinese cooking in the state of arizona
google avatar

Mauricio D.

Yelp
Absolutely love this spot! There is a reason they are always busy, there is a reason your pickup order.... Because the food is delicious! The best in all of Phoenix! The place has that authentic Chinese food place feel. It's very clean, and the owner is such a sweet heart. I'm a sucker for their Kung Pao Chicken, and their lemon chicken is to die for. Save yourself some time, and just go here. No other Chinese food spot even comes close. Prices are reasonable.
google avatar

Jason L.

Yelp
It's no wonder it was voted the 87th out of 100 best Chinese restaurants in the United States. Excellent food and service. We drive 40 minutes to get take away. That's how good it is.
google avatar

Michelle E.

Yelp
This place was AMAZING. They've been on my radar for a long time but they're so far from my house that I've never gone. Finally, they happened to be on the way home and so my family and I stopped in. I'm so glad we did! All five of us LOVED it. Now we're trying to come up with more reasons to visit that part of town so we can go back!
google avatar

Elaine B.

Yelp
Literally stumbled upon this place for dinner and it was soo good. We couldn't decided what we wanted for dinner so we drove around. From the outside we didn't know what to expect. But once inside, I instantly felt like I was at a Chinese restaurant we would go to as I kid. Menu was large. Pricing is reasonable and portions were big. Everyone I saw leaving with plenty of leftovers. Servers were all super nice except for the one that took our order. My only issue was we ordered three things for the two of us because my husband and I like to split and try different things. The waitress laughed at us and said something like you really are going to order all that food? I said yes. That's what leftovers are for? So minus that. Everything was great. lol.

Yelp
Best Chinese food in Phoenix without having to drive to Chinatown in Los Angeles. The founder in black bean sauce is absolutely amazing.

John A.

Yelp
Been going to Wong's for the past 8 years after searching the West Valley for Chinese. Tried them all and not impressed. Hands down Wong's is the Best! Nobody does Lemon Chicken like Wong's. All we need now is a Wong's #2 near the Prasada in Surprise!
google avatar

Scott H.

Yelp
The food and service are always outstanding. We always order two extra entrées so that we have leftovers to take home. Definitely recommended.
google avatar

Ethan S.

Yelp
Best Asian food in the area, NO QUESTION about it. Try the house chicken!! It's to die for.
google avatar

Brian F.

Yelp
Great food. Quick Service. Fair prices. Nice atmosphere. Definitely recommend and will be back!
google avatar

Linda H.

Yelp
The food here is amazing. We come at least once a month. I have a hard time deciding between the delicious shrimp and chicken Kung poa, chicken chow mein, Happy Family (a delicious combo of shrimp, chicken, beef, BBQ pork and vegetables and my husband always gets extra hot orange chicken. We also always get a cup of their hot and sour soup. Everyone we take here loves it. Great service and very clean inside. Don't be concerned with the outside appearance, there is a gem inside.
google avatar

Jessica P.

Yelp
Love this gem! Recently we have found this place and omg let me tell you, the food is amazing. The service goes above and beyond and the price is great. We usually get a large plate of rice, soup, orange chicken and a tofu platter all under $50. Plus the plates are huge, you'll definitely have left overs.
google avatar

Charla M.

Yelp
They have great food. It is delicious and hot. You can always count on this place being crowded.
google avatar

Ben J.

Yelp
Been coming to this place for about 4 years now, and it never disappoints, my kids love the pork fried rice..

Dave H.

Yelp
Great food and very friendly staff. It has been crowded each time there, however, our party was seated in a timely manner

Maria D.

Yelp
I rarely leave reviews but this restaurant deserves one. Our food was amazing. We had the honey walnut shrimp and I believe it was called house special chicken. It was a 10/10. I definitely have to return next time I'm visiting Arizona.
google avatar

Terry T.

Yelp
Very satisfying food and atmosphere. The staff is welcoming and friendly too. Not too busy or noisy. The lights are dimmed for a more relaxing experience. This is easily my favorite Chinese restaurants
google avatar

Brianna H.

Yelp
The food was super yummy and the lunch orders were a good portion of food! We made it right before the close for lunch but the host was kind enough to place a to-go order.
google avatar

Stephanie M.

Yelp
This review is for take out only The orange chicken is a MUST ORDER anytime you go to Wongs! The crab puffs & fried rice are also both delicious! The staff is always very friendly and attentive! If you're ordering takeout on a Friday or Saturday night you may not be able to get through because they're always extremely busy!
google avatar

Gina B.

Yelp
We've been coming here for years but it's been awhile since I've written a review. Today we had dined with my parents it was their first time which honestly I don't know how we haven't brought them with us before. We ordered the egg drop soup, crab angels, egg rolls, shrimp fried rice, orange chicken, shrimp lo mein, shrimp egg foo young. Everything was piping hot and so delicious! They were slammed busy so the service was a little slow but it was still pretty good. I'll keep coming back because the food is always on point!

Valerie B.

Yelp
Nope won't be back everything was wrong. Food tasted off and it took a long time to get. Noodles tasted slimy and the flavor was just not packing and it was a pretty busy night. A lot of people but service was not good.
google avatar

Shelbey N.

Yelp
This is mine and my husbands go to place for Chinese food. It is a little hole in the wall place that is tucked in to the corner of a strip mall! It is very clean and nice inside. Service and food are amazing!! They have big portions and we always seem to have leftovers to take home. We arrived about 10mins before it opened for dinner service and a line formed quickly waiting for the doors to open. That's how you know it is good.
google avatar

Chuck D.

Yelp
Was great a few years ago, but now food mediocre. Nice folks, relaxed atmosphere, but it's about the food.
google avatar

Bobbi L.

Yelp
Ordered takeout. The Egg-rolls were the best we've had since moving to Arizona! Had the shrimp fried rice and potstickers. Everything was very tasty and I will definitely return! Excited to give more of their entrees a try.
google avatar

Theresa A.

Yelp
What a wonderful little restaurant. Food, Service and Environment was excellent. Recommend this Wongs to others already. Can't wait to return. We had leftovers from lunch to enjoy later.
google avatar

Brian N.

Yelp
Follow up review on this place Went on a Wednesday night so it wasn't crowded. Only about a quarter of the tables were taken so was hoping we would have fast service. WRONG!! After seating us, nobody stopped at our table for 15 minutes! Then they got us drinks but wouldn't take our order even though we told them we were ready. They finally took our order 15 minutes later. And surprisingly, the food came out pretty quickly. Ordered chicken lo mein, beef lo mein, beef broccoli, and Szechuan chicken. The beef broccoli was best of the dishes although it wasn't that good. The lo mein dishes lacked flavor. The Szechuan chicken was a little spicy but overall bland. We probably will never come back. The food wasn't good and the waitresses were inattentive and a little rude. The prices weren't that good either.
google avatar

Steve S.

Yelp
Very good, has become a favorite of ours. Friendly service, generous portions and very friendly people.
google avatar

Wendy M.

Yelp
Saw that Wong's made it in the top 100 Chinese restaurants in the USA by New York Times. We are always looking for locally owned businesses to support. We stopped by on a Monday and just missed the lunch seating. They close from 3 to 4 and stop seating at 230p. We drove over Tuesday, they are closed Tuesday's. We went in Wednesday. We had the best Mongolian beef lunch special. Comes with 2 crab Rangoon, choice of rice, egg drop soup, And an egg roll. Very large portions. We also had the veggie chow fun. The food and service was exceptional.
google avatar

Steven K.

Yelp
First time trying Wongs as I was in the area and Chinese food was sounding good. It seemed like a pretty traditional hole in the wall type restaurant but this place got packed quickly! The service was super quick and attentive and the food came out shockingly fast. It total, we tried the potstickers, beef chow fun, kung pao chicken, and the emperors chicken. The potsticker and the kung pao were just okay. The kung pao was lacking flavor and the filling in the potstickers wasn't anything special. The emperors chicken on the other hand was very good. The beef chow fun was pretty solid but I do wish the sauce had some more flavor. All in all, if I lived close to hear I would definitely see myself ordering from here as the prices are reasonable and the portions are generous. I would go back to try some other dishes.
google avatar

Barry B.

Yelp
Very generous portions for $20. I got the sweet-and-sour chicken I also got one eggroll two crab Rangoon's and hot and sour soup. I didn't care for the hot tea, but I thought everything else was good. I could've split the meal easily between two people. I had plenty of leftovers. We also got a order of chicken fried rice. That was very good.
google avatar

Dan S.

Yelp
We got several plates and all were excellent. Authentic and well done. The service was good. We did take out and haven't dined in yet. We will be back for sure.

C W.

Yelp
Been going here for many years. The ambiance has improved. The food is still great. Service was great. Lots of staff to offer drinks and service.
